1. Respect all Site Rules
2. Respect all Site Moderators as per Rule 1
3. Respect the Opertor and appointed RP admins
4. DO NOT CROSS IC AND OOC. Keep it OOC or the discord, that is what they are there for, if it isn't an In-Character script
5. Rules are subject to change
6. No wanking, flame baiting, metagaming, or other forms of acknowledged RP 'cheating'.
7. Have fun and be nice. Not everyone is a 40k encyclopedia in the flesh.

It is the 42nd Millennium. For more than a hundred centuries The Emperor has sat immobile on the Golden Throne of Earth. He is the Master of Mankind by the will of the gods, and master of a million worlds by the might of his inexhaustible armies. He is a rotting carcass writhing invisibly with power from the Dark Age of Technology. He is the Carrion Lord of the Imperium for whom a thousand souls are sacrificed every day, so that he may never truly die.

Yet even in his deathless state, the Emperor continues his eternal vigilance. Mighty battlefleets cross the daemon-infested miasma of the Warp, the only route between distant stars, their way lit by the Astronomican, the psychic manifestation of the Emperor's will. Vast armies give battle in his name on uncounted worlds. Greatest amongst his soldiers are the Adeptus Astartes, the Space Marines, bio-engineered super-warriors. Their comrades in arms are legion: the Imperial Guard and countless planetary defense forces, the ever-vigilant Inquisition and the tech-priests of the Adeptus Mechanicus to name only a few. But for all their multitudes, they are barely enough to hold off the ever-present threat from aliens, heretics, mutants - and worse.

To be a man in such times is to be one amongst untold billions. It is to live in the cruelest and most bloody regime imaginable. These are the tales of those times. Forget the power of technology and science, for so much has been forgotten, never to be re-learned. Forget the promise of progress and understanding, for in the grim dark future there is only war. There is no peace amongst the stars, only an eternity of carnage and slaughter, and the laughter of thirsting gods.

The difference between Gods and Daemons largely depends upon where one is standing at the time.

It is the 42nd Millennium and the psychic wails of the Noctis Aeterna have subsided. Blacking out the astropathic choirs across entire sectors. Plunging countless worlds into the embrace of a new Long Night. Cadia has fallen. The Pylons are shattered. The Black Fleet has slipped forth unleashing a tide of bloodthirty terror across the cracking Dominions of the God-Emperor of Terra. Even as countless other foes assail Humanity from without and within. Greenskin Waaaghs crash into beleaguered sub-sectors. Druchari raid and pillage never before from the depths of the Dark City. New empires and races such as the Tau contest long established frontiers. While beyond the blackness of the inter-galactic void the tendrils of the Great Devourer, the Tyranid scourge, seep like a chittering tidal wave onto the crumbling foundations of Humanity's Galaxy spanning empire. Cadia has fallen and the defenders of Man are bereft and split in twain. The Galaxy asunder. Gashed from the Eye of Terror to the Edges of Galactic Rim by the Cicatrix Maledictum! Cadia has fallen!

But the spirit of Mankind has only ascended higher. The Imperium's resolve only the greater. For even as the Forces of the Archenemy shattered the greatest bastion containing the Eye of Terror and the influence of the Dark Gods. Its breach has caused an awakening. A power psychic, spiritual, profound and unlimited in the very soul of every man, woman, and child in the Imperium. Embodied in the words of the Emperor of Mankind himself! Words that fortified the core of bravery in the minds of the loyalist Legions of yore, urging them on to charge the Traitors at Istvaan against all odds. The words which galvanized the desparate defenders of Calth, Terra, and many more. Words which denied even the strongest of Mankind's foes the ultimate victory they so craved. Words joined now by a second declaration of defiance against all that would see the light of Human salvation dissolved amidst the blackness of an uncaring Universe! Only in Death does duty end.

The Dark Millennium is upon us! The levy breaks and the skies from Terra to the Galactic Rim crackle with the force to boil Oceans and sunder Mountains! This is the universe you now enter. Will you fight for Imperium and the Emperor's dream? Will you seek to turn the entire Galaxy into but an offering to your twisted Dark Masters? The Roleplay is centrally focused on the trials and tribulations between the Imperium and the Forces of Chaos in the early centuries of the 42nd millennium. In the wake of a Thirteenth Black Crusade. A Crusade which even has reached Holy Terra before being beaten back by heroic defenders. A war which has spawned dozens of lesser conflicts as both sides open new theatres. All might seem against Humanity, however, save for the resurrection of one of Mankind's oldest Hero's. A Primarch.

Players will be able to play entire chapters, Imperial Guard upper-level officers, High Lords, or Warlords of Chaos. Primarchs are available, however, they will narratively return sequentially.

In terms of the canon timeline. Cadia itself has fallen, broken asunder by a Blackstone Fortress in the closing days of the 999th year of M41. The three Tyrannic Wars have occurred along with the previous Black Crusades. However, various events can be made up in between to serve player applications. The start year is 105.M42.

The Narrative

The Narrative, due to the nature of the IC portraying events occurring throughout the Galaxy either concurrent or simultaneously, depends HIGHLY on player diligence. As such each post must be time stamped either through the Old Imperial Calendar or the New One (or both) while also being mindful of events you are a part of. Do not expect the Administratum of the RP to keep track of every little detail (we lose track of entire worlds periodically as is) or hold your hand. That being said this Roleplay primarily caters to those writers who are looking for a LONG-TERM roleplay and not something to get all giddy about for three days then vanish without a trace. If you cannot commit to at least a once a week posting schedule, then do not apply. Do not apply. If you cannot play well with others or be able to learn basic knowledge of the lore. Do not apply. Sorry, this RP has a specific audience in mind and while open to all, be mindful that if you cannot meet the expectations of the other players, you likely won't have as much as I would hope nor would they.

The Roleplay will be very flexible when it comes to narrative developments (within reason) and in the spirit of the Warhammer 40,000 universe the central theme is the grand gothic space opera it contains. This is not a wank RP. Do not come into this expecting to win every battle or self-insert your own Napoleonic complex about how much a grand taktikool genius you think you are. The Administratum won't care. I won't care. Your peers will not care. So please don't do that. The goal is to have fun. Have a good story. Experience victory and defeat. Triumph and sorrow. Gain and loss. A story of heroes and villains for their respective sides.

Now, if you're still reading back to the fun stuff. The Narrative. The narrative is primarily sandbox with minor nudges and guidance. Those appointed by the Operator (me) to the Administratum have carte blanche to assist you in your narratives. Keep them fun and the IC going. As such they will be able to puppet NPCs and help orchestrate events in slower parts of player storylines. Further, expect some challenge. If you're a chaos Primarch then b-lining to Holy Terra on the first page probably won't really end that well for you. Conversely, a loyalist plunging headfirst into the Eye of Terror to one-versus-one Khorne likely will not end well either. All of this is to serve creating a dynamic Warhammer experience and keep you intrigued in what is going to happen to your characters.

On Primarchs

The Forces of Chaos start out with full access to Seven Daemon Primarchs. The Loyalists start out with One resurrected Primarch and the more will appear as the IC progresses. Eventually, the loyalists will expect to field, possibly, up to Seven of their own. As such applications for loyalist primarchs will be also perma-reservations for their expected appearances. The Primarchs, whether Daemon or Loyalist, are likely to become central characters and as such it is encouraged for players roleplaying other forms of characters such as Daemons, Imperial Guard Lord General Militants, and so forth to become involved with them as a way of staying relevant. Not that you would need to constantly be in very scene with them. But having some form of interaction tends to service players well in making posts.

On Forces of Chaos and Imperial Characters

Players may opt to play Daemons, Chaos Space Marine warlords and quite possibly the Warmaster of Chaos himself, or various Imperial characters. Preferably occupying some station to keep the IC easy to post or keep up with. As such applying as a lone guardsman in a random regiment is probably not the greatest idea.

Character Name: Vasilisa Sanguina, Primarch V
Alias/Epithets: Primarch of the 5th Legion, Sanguine-Progenitor, The Emperor's Angel of Death, The Emperor's Daughter, The Avenging Angel, The Dragon of Terra
Appearance: https://imgur.com/AVt73Sp
Personality: Vasilisa could best be described as level headed. Quit and remote. Distant but not cold. Possessing, as her legionary officers and marines who meet her note, a peculiar sense of humour. Especially when in the company of her brothers. Vasilisa is an adept war leader and administrator. But does not seem overly eager for the former and dutiful if not entirely enthusiastic for the latter. No, Vasilisa is much more consumed with science and the recovery of technology and as such forges connections with the Mechanicum when able.
Backstory:
Pre-Heresy and Great Crusade
The Primarch that would be known as Vasilisa was scattered about, like her brethren, before the Great Crusade when the Ruinous Powers whisked the Primarchs away from the Emperor's underground gene laboratories. Vasilisa, carried by the waves of the Empyrean, landed on the world of Solaria. To the Galactic West of Terra. Onto a beautifully dangerous world inhabited by the remnants of a space faring civilization from Humanity's dark age. The Solarians retaining the technology for space flight but primarily confined to their mountain cities. Having abandoned various locations and having lost the ability to resettle them in any meaningful. This is largely due to the cities of Solaria being from the Dark Age of Technology and the technologies therein suffering catastrophic damage by the ravages of Old Night and time itself. The Solarians were a remnant until the coming of their Golden Queen. A name that is not literal so much as figurative. For under Vasilisa's guidance she reinvigorated the people of Solaria. Re-establishing trade with neighboring worlds, even annexing some, while promoting the arts and sciences on Solaria itself.

Eventually, the Emperor's expeditionary fleets arrived in the Solarian system, following rumor's by their neighbors of an expanding power. They were surprised to find one of the Emperor's lost progeny at the help. This surprise of course was not shared by the Emperor as he rushed to Solaria to reclaim his genetic offspring. Meeting in the Adamantine Palace on Solaria, behind closed doors, none quite knew what transpired between Father and Daughter. Only that when they emerged the Golden Queen took command of the 5th Legion and declared that Solaria was one with the Imperium of Mankind. That they had been reunited with their long lost homeworld of Terra and a golden age was coming.

Fighting numerous campaigns alongside her brothers as both comrade and confidante. Until the seeds of darkness infected one of her brethren and took fully half their number into the embrace of the Dark Gods of the Warp.

The Heresy
When the Heresy broke towards the beginning of the 31st Millennium. The 5th Legion was deployed among several dozen expeditionary fleets, garrisons, or back in the Hegemony. As such the early years of the Heresy the Primarch of the 5th Legion spent gathering her forces and fighting the traitors where she could. Gradually fighting her way in a circuitous route to Terra. There, she would take part in the defense of the Imperial Palace and helped bear the Emperor's broken body onto the Golden Throne.

Post-Heresy
Post-Heresy the Emperor's Daughter helped the Imperium heal during The Forging. Assisting in re-establishing Imperial communication and control. While also participating in the immediate Post-Heresy Scouring by driving her traitorous brethren's broken legion's before her and the other loyalists into the Eye of Terror.

War Gear:
The Aetherial Crown
A silver crown possessing a a strong refractor shield and cloaking generator.

The Sword of Vylkaz

A sword harkening to ancient rulers of Old Earth. A shimmering golden blade that operates like a power weapon. The blade has managed to cut through ceramite and even tank armour with relative ease in the hands of the Primarch.

The Scarlet Glaive

A glaive possessing a scarlet blade and crimson handle. Emitting a purple flame when wielded and rumoured to be a psychic weapon harnessing the mind of its wielder.

Wings of Karpatha

White mechanical wings using archeotech repulsor technology to propel the user aloft.

Astartes/CSM
Chapter Name: The Sun Angels
Loyalist/Traitor/Renegade: Loyalist
Affiliation if Traitor/Renegade: N/A
Chapter Sigil/Symbol: Blood teardrop surrounded by a sun's rays flanked by angelic wings.
Other Heraldry: A Golden Macedonian Sun or a Golden Dragon (draconic imagery and materials feature heavily in the legion alongside their angelic themes)
Homeworld(s)/Home Ship(s) if fleet based: Homeworld of Solaria, within The Hegemony of Valtmar located Galactic North-East of Terra in the Girdle of Myrromyre (semi-circular nebula)
Chapter Fleet Forces: The Gloriana-Class Battleship Vengeful Spirit=MIA but not destroyed
Battle Barge Vanir
Battle Barge Aesir
Battle Barge Arx Angelis
Battle Barge Draconia
Battle Barge Scarlet Tear
Strike Cruiser Fury
Strike Cruiser Lance of the Emperor
Strike Cruiser Vadamatine
Strike Cruiser Solaris
Strike Cruiser Spear of Vasilisa
Strike Cruiser Rodina
Several squadrons of smaller frigate and escort craft.
Chapter Manpower: 1,000 Marines
Chapter Organization: The Chapter is organized into Battle Companies and Reserve companies as per Codex Astartes strictures. The only deviations being unique honour units such as the Celestial Sanguine Guard and the Vardiya Zmeiyov. The former being elite assault marines serving as honour guards for the Chapter while the latter serve in place of a typical Librarium by virtue of the fact that the Sun Angels and successor chapters have no Psykers. Instead manifesting their own Psi-Negative version due to the mutation in Vasilisa's geneseed.
Chapter History: The Chapter was formed as part of the First Founding and would participate in various major engagement from the Scouring to the Second Battle of Terra to the Siege of Valtmeris or the Devastation of Ryaazan, a prime recruiting world. The Chapter would participate in the Armageddon Wars, repelling Black Crusade, and the Third Tyrannic War (as a single company).

The Chapter does have numerous successors. Numbering over forty successor chapters they are not the most numerous in spawning new Chapters but not the least.

Reserve a spot for a loyalist please.

Clausewitz Parsarian and the surviving sons of the 12th legion, which amounts to pretty much just what ever is left of the Lamenters

Miss the Burning Scrolls Already.

Is it alright if I reserve a spot for a Daemon Primarch?
What the Hell is a Myaku?:
Time system inspired by(copied from- since i'm still in the early stages) Swatch Internet Time.
1 day is 1000 Myaku, 1 Hour is 41.6 Myaku, 1 Myaku is 1.26 minutes. To get the time in Myaku, do (3600(hour) + 60 (minute) + seconds) divided by 86.4

[Have posted a more complete application, if there’s anything I need to correct, please inform me!]

Character Name: Caballero Cazador
Alias/Epithets: The Lord of the Wild Hunt.
The Hunter of the Gods.
The Beast of Pacifico.
Appearance:
Image

Image

Personality:
Once a pragmatic, ruthless man willing to sacrifice anything and anyone (aside from his beloved Falcon) to achieve his goals, Caballero’s mind, unlike his flesh, did not change much.
He retained his fondness for prestige and finery, and thus, even with his deformed flesh, he continues to live the life of a nobleman when not crushing the upstarts within what remains of his legion.

Backstory:
Pre-Heresy
One of the Emperor’s 18 Primarchs, he landed as a child upon the world of Albion.
Albion, notable for its colossal, planet-encompassing forests, was home to relatively few humans, most having been slain during the Age of Strife.
Caballero was adopted by one of the few ruling families remaining upon the planet, who’s current leader was unfortunately sterile.
Caballero was seen as a miracle, for he grew rapidly in only a few short years, becoming the size of an adult a mere 3 months after his arrival upon the planet.
Caballero learned rapidly, devouring books on strategy and warfare, for from the moment he had landed upon the world, he had held a dream deep in his heart:
The unification of all of Albion.
Before this could occur, of course, he had to develop, and this development allowed him to develop traits not intended for him by the Emperor.
A notable hobby he picked up in this time was Falconry, acquiring an Albionic Falcon (exclusive to, of course, Albion), named Herla and training it to be a constant companion on his long hunts, another hobby he picked up.
4 years after he landed, his Foster-Father suddenly died, aged 70.
Caballero took control of the domain possessed by the family, and began rapidly militarizing.
Conscripting noble and peasant alike, he marched to the nearest kingdom, declaring war by rapidly conquering their villages in the first act of major violence upon the world in 300 years.

He avoided directly assaulting the few castles possessed by his enemies, attacking and conquering the lands providing them with resources, before starving them out or receiving their surrender.
He would continue this aggressive conquest, attacking every other kingdom he was able to reach, eventually consolidating them into an empire across a majority of the single continent, not a few small vassal-kingdoms escaping his direct control.
His lands were greatly divided, and he would come to enjoy hunting down rebel and animal alike.
On the 10 anniversary of his last and greatest conquest, a stranger walked into his hall, wearing a simple brown cloak.
Caballero took offense to this party-crasher, and pulled his blade out, only for the figure to dramatically throw off the cloak, revealing himself to be the Emperor of Mankind.
Immediately realizing that this man was his true father, he threw his blade away and kneeled.

Gaining control of the 6th Legion made in his image, he would name them the Stellar Hunters.
Fighting as the vanguard of the Great Crusade, the Stellar Hunters would travel far across the Galaxy, fighting strange mutants, xenos, and human civilizations unwilling to bend the knee to the Imperium.
It is here where we see another strange trait take hold in the Primarch’s mindset, as he begins taking trophies and cultural relics from the xenos he had slain, before having their names translated by members of the Mechanicus and placing them in a private room upon the Star-Searcher.
Many of these groups only exist in the records of the Inquisition or the Hunters, for they were wiped out to the last.
Herla (which had been granted the best bionics available to the Primarch), would prove to be crucial to his success in personal-combat, which he was distinctly flaws at, in comparison to his siblings.
These battles would, however, also reveal the dark flaw forming in the Hunters, for there are records of Caballero sending the rest of his fleet to continue a conflict, while he would spend an unnecessary amount of time terrifying and torturing the last remaining figures on a planet, before ending them and returning to his Legion.
These long stints of absence meant that much of the Legion was, in practice, more loyal to his Equerry, a marine from the days of Terra known as Ultimo Lealtad.
While this clash of loyalty was always present, it would only be truly exposed during the Heresy, it determined many of the actions of the Legion in the prelude to it as well.

What is assumed by many to be the corruption of Caballero occurred during an average campaign in the Ghoul Stars, where the legion had split in two, the portion under Ultimo leaving to kill off the last of a Xeno species, while Caballero hunted a great beast that had been reported by some of his scouts, along with a few marines personally loyal to him.
The Beast, however, turned out to be far more cunning than expected, and as they chased it through deep forests and the shattered husks of cities, it picked them off one-by-one.
Caballero, truly desperate for the first time in his life, took a wild shot with his Plasma Pistol, hitting the Beast in the leg and allowing him to get a closer look at it.
It was horrid in nature, seemingly stitched out of the corpses of the Xeno species he had believed exterminated on this planet, reanimated and given a horrid half-life.
Ignoring his own hesitancy, he skinned the beast while he had the chance, bringing its hide onto his Gloriana Battleship.
Unbeknownst to him, the Hide began whispering to him in his (rare) hours of doubt, telling him secrets and stories that he used to improve his terror and fear tactics.
Eventually, it would openly tell him of worlds and areas to conquer, and he would do so knowing another strange beast would be present, which he would skin and add to his collection as well.
The psykers amongst his legion knew something was off about these new ventures, but with none of them being within his inner circle (and thus unable to see the hide in person), eventually it was written off as a mere curiosity.
Herla also changed from exposure to the Hide’s Whispers, eventually mutating another eye and seemingly becoming ever-more intelligent.

It must be noted, however, that the Hides are not the sole contributor to the Corruption of Carabello.
Carabello had always held, in the recesses of his heart, a dislike of civilian authority, his long expeditions into the ghoul stars gradually convincing him that there was no hope for a society not willing to sacrifice anything for victory.
This, combined with his dislike of Psykers also gained from the Ghoul Stars and culminating with The Emperor’s withdrawal from the Great Crusade is what allowed for the Hides to play on his subconscious fears and hates, gradually making him dependent on them as depicted above.

The Heresy
When the heresy proper began, he had been convinced of the glory he could gain by being one of the killers of the Imprium, and he was amongst the legions to kill their loyalists upon Istvann 3.
He would personally go onto the field of battle (preventing another Virus Bombardment) to savor the thrill of killing Astartes of his own blood.
His loyalists (who made up much of the anti-traitor survivors) , still commanded by Ultimo, fought valiantly to the last, Ultimo himself even permanently scarring Caballero.
[A Reminiscence]
As he watched the Virus-Bombs impact upon the surface of Istvann III, The Lord wondered idly how many of his sons had just died.

The Hides had spoken to him, told him of what would occur.
They had told him of the atrocity, told him of the bombing, told him of much, told him of things he would not (could not) understand until he realized his destiny.

And yet, even as he watched Destiny be enacted in front of him, he felt.... something.
He felt what he had not since the slaying of the Beast, that desperation, that primordial panic that he thought he had overcome.
The Hides spoke, but he did not (could not) listen.

The Beast felt, for the first time in decades, the pumping of blood in his ears, the flow of Adrenaline in his flesh, the desire to move, to hunt, to kill.

And as he began his movement towards the nearest drop-pod (Herla moving quickly behind him), Caballero felt the desire to give his sons a good death.

Whether he would be the first to land on Istvann or not was irrelevant, for it was what he would do upon it that would cement his allegiance to the One-Who-Would-Be-The-Arch-Heretic.

During the Dropsite Massacre, he would enter combat with his brother Neron, shattering the Cazadorian Blade he had brought with him.
While it was not Cabarello who would (supposedly) kill Neron during the Massacre, the wounds inflicted with Claw and Blade would play a part in his (supposed) death.

He would fight against the weaker worlds of the Imperium, teaching his “unified” (many were loyal to the Arch-Traitor over him, or had already fallen under the influence of one of the Gods) the tactics he had gained from the Hides, which he now openly wore (the wearing of the Hides also coincided with the moment he renamed the Stellar Hunters to the “Wild Hunt”, rejecting the name he had given them under the chains of the Emperor.)

He would also participate in the battle of Terra, avoiding both his brothers and the walls, and instead attacking civilians and other humans, to both refine his skills as a Hunter, and under the advice of the Hides, which told him to kill many visionary figures for reasons known only to the Gods.

Post-Heresy
The first to flee from Terra, Carabello would, surprisingly, be one of the last Traitors to be forced into the eye.
Returning to his homeworld of Albion, Carabello would begin using it as a base for his raids into the Imperium.
Striking rapidly at worlds that had been unaffected by the Heresy, he would kidnap entire populations, both for the creation of new Marines and the replenishment of the Serf-Soldiers he had lost during the Battle of Terra (having thrown them at the wall instead of his Marines).
He would, during this time of hunting, clash numerous times with his Siblings and their Legions, always fleeing back to Albion as soon as things began taking a turn for the worse, the final refinement of his Hit-and-Run tactics for Void Warfare.
While he would manage to reap a bloody toll on the human populations around Albion (and kill a decent amount of Space Marines) he knew he would not be able to keep the Hunt going forever, especially as Loyalist forces began preparing to assault Albion.
Sending a portion of his Legion deeper into the ghoul stars, to collect the resources they had stockpiled there during the wars against Xenos, he would unleash Exterminatus upon Albion, using the betrayal and shock to form a minor warp-storm, allowing him to flee to the Eye.

As Albion was no longer an option, and as His (and his bird’s) gradual ascension to Daemonhood completed, he would find a world of Forest, Fog, and Beasts.
Christening this world “Caza”, he built a great citadel, and after the legion wars began to settle down, he retired to Caza, where he (to this day) intrigues against those daemon princes of his own legion, occasionally visited by warbands of his Legion seeking favor.
Although, with the call of the Gods echoing across the Galaxy once more, he has (for the first time in millennia) turned his eyes from his games of intrigue, looking upon the Galaxy and all of its new prey for him to hunt.

The Supplicant

As Odio began the process of bringing his spoils of war into his Primarch’s Throne-Room, he thought back to the raid.

A relatively short combat against an small offshoot of another Legion, he had boarded their flagship and decapitate the fellow relatively easily.
While they had not found any truly interesting artifacts, he had managed to acquire a few of the more interesting weapons possessed by their foes (along with their ship), and thus, as was the rule amongst the Hunt, he had brought the items back to see if his Gene-Father wanted to add any to his collection.

What was uncommon about this transfer though, was the attitude in the Fortress.
While things were as lively as ever, marines fighting, feasting, and drinking in the many rooms and courtyards, he felt a strange.... something in the air.
Considering he was the only one showing any visible signs amongst his band, he decided to drop it for the moment.
Carrying on regardless, he found his way to the Throne (normally the Primarch would forcibly delay their travel for a time, so this was also strange), and made his way to the foot of the throne.

Kneeling before his Primarch, he had his men offer up the few rewards they had gathered from the raid, although the Primarch..... did nothing.
Continuing to wait (and stifling a small cough), he suddenly felt a sensation of pure terror strike him.

His eyes, forced to the ground, could not see what occurred to his fellows, and his ears, filled with the rushing of blood, shouldn’t have been able to hear it, either, but he still heard.
The screams (his own, his brothers, or a slave’s was unknown to him), the clunk of mutated, fleshlike Ceramite falling unto the stone floor with a horrid echo.

It felt like he was dying, that he SHOULD be dying, but..... he refused.
He promised himself he would not die here, he screamed (internally) in defiance, he attempted to thrash, attempted to move, attempted to Live.
And, as if in response to his raw desire, the cloud of fear lifted ever-so-slightly.
He moved his eyes, and he saw.....

The Lord/The Puppet/The Erlking

He saw.....

The Beast/
The Barghest/The Hunter

He saw......

What Would Be/
What Was/What Had Been

He sa-

Odio tore his eyes from the Primarch, returning his gaze to the floor, not looking up even when the Primarch’s Claws grasped his skull.
He stayed in this position, this place, for what felt like day, until he finally, Finally felt the fear leave him completely.

He glanced up, and he saw his Lord, sitting upon the throne as if nothing had happened.
And then, he Spoke.

”Huntmarked.
Take your forces.
Ravage the land of the Corpse-Emperor.
Do not Fail me.”

Odio heard, and, after a moment remaining on his knees, he obeyed.
And so, just as Odio the Fool/The Free/The Unenlightened had entered this place, Odio the Lord/The Slave/The Illuminated left it.

War Gear:
The Hide of Caballero:
The Hides claimed from the beasts sent by the Gods, these have fused with both his armor and his skin, granting him all the dark knowledge once contained by them.
Also grants him great protection against Bolters and Blades, attacks made by those wielding them barely damaging him.
The Claws of Caballero:
Once Lightning Claws he wielding along with a Plasma Pistol, they (unlike the Plasma Pistol) have fused with his flesh, granting him to cut through Ceramite like a regular Lightning Claw cuts through Flak Armour.
Herla:
Caballero’s beloved Falcon, Herla has mutated greatly since its semi-ascendence with its master, becoming larger, stronger, and more intelligent.
Distracting and attacking Caballero’s enemies with talons able to pierce Ceramite, Herla makes up for much of the speed Carabello lost in the transition from Primarch to Daemon.
The Cazadorian Blade [SHATTERED]:
A sword once used by Carabello, it was shattered on Istvann V in combat with his brother Neron.
The shards were retrieved by some members of the Hunt, and when their father (having always slightly disliked using the thing) refused it’s reconstruction, the retrievers took the shards and made them into other blades.

Patron God: Chaos Undivided
Daemonic Powers: Improved Speed, Strength, Durability.
Control over (Daemon-influenced) Nature.
Ability to Induce Terror (able to effect even the stalwart Aeldari)
Teleportation between large areas of daemonic plant-life to other similar areas.

Domain in the Warp:
Caza
Primary servants:
1/4 of Wild Hunt CSM Legion.
2 Daemon Princes (former Wild Hunt Space Marines)

CSM
Chapter Name: Wild Hunt
Loyalist/Traitor/Renegade: Traitor Legion
Affiliation if Traitor/Renegade: Undivided (Caballero Portion), Divided (Majority)
Chapter Sigil/Symbol: a Goatskull on the Left Pauldron.
Color Scheme:
The Stellar Hunt (and the Terran Remnant) had Green Power Armor with a black trim, occasionally shaving a differently-colored helmet to show importance or rank in the Legion.
Generally, the Wild Hunt wears bone-white Power Armor (which has most likely fused with their flesh), with only those few members who continue to attempt the Black Stag ritual being allowed to wear the (small) stockpile of Terminator Armor left remaining.
Black Stag Terminator Armor is incredibly mutated, and each prospective wearer must win a battle of wills the armor to take control of it, lest it devours them whole.
It is also entirely black, if the name did not imply so.

4 Repulsive Grand-Cruisers
12 Murder Cruisers
20 Idolator Raiders
20-40 Iconoclast Destroyers
[Divided Portion]
Indeterminable, although divided portions of the legion usually eschew Battleships.
Chapter Manpower:
Carabello Portion: 2000 Astarte, 50 Black Stag Terminators, 3000 (Heavily Mutated) Serfs
Divided Portion: 8000 Astarte, 50 Black Stag Terminators [as of split], indeterminate amount of Serfs/Slaves
Chapter Organization:
The Caballero portion is organized around, of course, Carabello, usually staying in orbit around Caza unless sent on a mission directly by Caballero.
There is an unofficial power structure, where the admirals of the Desecrator Battleships (who possess seniority over all but the Admiral appointed to oversee the Gloriana), claim domination over all ships below them.
This unofficial chain of command is only broken by the Black Stags, who do not listen to any except their Primarch or their God, and generally travel across the Eye seeking wisdom and items for the benefit of the Primarch/The Warband.
The divided portions generally follow the usually hierarchy established by warbands of one of the 4 gods, although there is a noted tendency for Chaos Lords who happen to have Admiral experience to be given priority over Chaos Lords who do not posses this experience.
Character Name: Sereno
Alias/Epithets:
4th Lord of the Ghoul Stars
Stationmaster
Appearance: Image
Personality:
A cold, unfeeling individual, Sereno holds no loyalty to anyone (not even his Primarch) but continues following the orders given by his Gene-Father (for now).
Backstory:
Born millennium after the exile of 300 Astarte to the Four Stations, he acted as a normal occupant of the station for much of his existence:
A boring, mundane life of checking to ensure the stockpiles of resources and weapons remained pristine and operational, with the occasional fun of killing and torturing the entirety of a ship, before sending it to one of the other Stations to do what they wished with it.
This changed when his Predecessor (Muerto the 3rd Lord) was found trading portions of the Stockpile to an renegade Mechanicus member for personal luxuries.
Challenging Muerto to a duel, Sereno decapitated him and claimed his place.
Now, he waits and watches, until his Primarch delivers the order that will free them from these metal tombs.
War Gear:
The Axe of Sereno
One of the few Daemon-Possessed (although it is a mere fury) weapons upon the station, the Axe was used to decapitate Muerto in an honorable duel.
The Daemon within (and the axe by extension) grow more powerful with every soul Sereno terrifies or kills, and considering the amount of individuals that entails, the Axe has been growing restless as of late.
Skull-Helm of Sereno
A helmet modeled to be more terrifying to the average human, it also has the former helmet of Muerto impaled upon a spike attached to it.
Many doors had to be modified when this attachment was decided upon.

Chapter Organization:
All Astarte are commanded by the Lord of the Ghoul Stars, who receives messages from the Primarch (all zero of them) and have full authority over the distribution of Astarte, Ship, or serf
Chapter History:
Just before the destruction of Albion by Caballero, he sent 300 Astarte to fortify and hold the Four Stations he had built during his crusading in the Ghoul Stars.
100 Astarte died on the way there (afterwards?) but the rest have managed to maintain their numbers, even with how long they’ve been out there.

Character Name: Sangre Corneador
Alias/Epithets:
Medio Trastornado
Blood-Drainer
Lord of Exsanguination
Holder of a Shard
Appearance: Image
Personality:
A stalwart devotee of the Lord of Rage, Sangre walks the narrow path of sanity-and-rage so often forgone by other worshippers.
Barely keeping his mind functioning when in the haze of combat, he is able to plan and considering tactics with actual presence of mind when outside of it.
He believes this struggle is a test by the Lord of Blood, one he intends to survive.
Backstory:
Born during the last days of the Heresy, Sangre was an adolescent when a band of Wild Hunt Chaos Space Marines devoted to Khorne raided his world.
Going upon a planet-wide killing spree, they would kidnap all those under the age of 16, to be turned into Astarte, out of 300 taken, only 100 survived, Sangre being one of these 100.

Devoted to the Lord of Blood, Sangre fought in hundreds of battle across the Eye, usually against those members of the Wild Hunt devoted to other gods, although always staying away from those forces controlled by Carabello.
As his brothers began to mentally devolve, Sangre sought a way to prevent this outcome for himself, believing that maintaining his sanity would allow him to better spill the blood of Khorne’s enemies.
Through trial-and-error, he discovered that ritualistically bleeding worthy foes after combat allowed him to maintain the ability to think clearly when outside of it, and lessened the effect on his mind during combat.

Spreading this knowledge to the few members of the Warband who had maintained their sanity, they seized a ship and left the crazed remnants to their fates.
Now he goes to fight in the Nachmund Campaign, seeking to drain the blood of a Primarch.
War Gear:
The Bloodied Blade:
A weapon forged from one of the shards of the Cazadorian Blade, Sangre seized it in single combat with a fellow Chaos-Lord, now wielding it as his own.
It has gained the strange ability to absorb any blood spilled upon it, increasing its power for a duration before requiring more.
Heavy even for an Astarte, it is only thanks to the strength granted by Khorne that he is able to wield it with his Great-Shield.

The Shield Inquerantable:
Similar in nature to a Storm Shield, if oversized.
Also requiring the great strength granted by Khorne, the Shield acts as the greatest indicator of the presence-of-mind still possessed by those following the Path of the Bloodletter, willing to defend and wait for an opportunity to attack instead of consistently charging.

These 8 Orders work to refine the Path, attempting to find the most-pleasing way to spill blood, and ensure their continued sanity.
Chapter History:
When Sangre and 8 other individuals left the Warband, they traveled across the eye, occasionally leaving to participate in combat during the Black Crusades.
While this journey continued, they sought fellow Disciples of the Blood God who had maintained some of their sanity, and taught them the Path, inducting them into one of the Orders.
This would continue for millennium, until they gathered 128 individuals shortly before the Rift opened, leaving the Black Crusade to assault the Gauntlet for the goal of finding strong foes.

Character Name: Enfermos Esparciodor
Alias/Epithets
Wretch-Lord
Lord of the Brotherhood
Appearance: Image
Personality:
Much like his patron god, Enfermos is a joyous at almost all times, seeing the spreading of plagues and ruin as a joyous act, and believing the screams of those infected are them gaining understanding.
Backstory:
Formerly an apothecary of a Loyalist Chapter possessing Carabello’s Gene Seed, Enfermos was corrupted by his own desire to assist his brethren, turning to vile means in an attempt to bolster their resilience and fleeing upon their realization of his Heresy.

Recruited from Ariale, the Home-world of the “Unmourned”, named for their 50-year-periods of constant crusading in the Ghoul Stars, only ceased to recruit new Astarte.
Surviving the implementation process easily, Enfermos joined the Apothecaries, and, for many decades, served nobly, becoming considered the obvious successor to the current Chief Apothecary.
Present in a battle against the Necrons of the Bone Kingdom, as his brothers died in droves, he prayed to the Emperor for some way to save them.

A different god responded.

Listening to the voice of Nurgle, and murdering his fellow apothecaries when they tried to stop him, he performed dark rituals on every single brother he could find, returning their corpses to a shambling un-life (in reality, he simply invited daemons to possess the bodies), sealing his fate.
When the survivors of the attack returned, they found the temporary base empty, the Mark of Nurgle written in diseased blood.
The Unmorned have sworn vengeance upon him, and search for him even now.

Fleeing into the Eye through sorcerous means, Enfermos would join a band of Nurglite worshippers, and after much combat with the chosen of other gods, would ascend to a position of leadership.
Now he leads the Brotherhood to the battle in Nachmund, believing it is a chance to enlighten his former-brothers granted to him by Nurgle.
War Gear:
The Plagued Claws:
Lightning Claws which have had their blades dipped in many poisons created by Enfermos.
Able to cause a slow, horrid death to any not possessing the constitution of an Astarte, with it only slowing down the Astarte themselves.
Claimed from the corpse of the former-leader of the Warband, after he died in combat with an Undivided Chaos Lord.

Cysts of Creation:
From the diseased pustules that grow upon Enfermos’s Power Armor, Nurglings emerge, assisting in combat and spreading vile joy amongst the worshippers of Nurgle viewing them.

Chapter Organization:
Organized around a coven of Druids lead by Tonto, the Scions have organized to participate in the Siege of Pelagos, attacking planets and fleets for reasons only known to their Sorceror-Lord, although the assumed reason is to defile a Legion’s Homeworld.
Chapter History:
Tonto, a Druid ascendant in the Tzeentchian portions of the Legion for his rapid acquisition of knowledge and membership in the Almas, has, from his flagship the Revelación, called for a crusade against the forces of the Kraken Lords, seemingly seeking glory or ascension in the carefully-planned destruction of Pelagos.

Character Name: Tonto the Knowing
Alias/Epithets:
The Knowing
Alma
Lord of the Fateweaver Coven
Appearance: still not working
Personality:
An arrogant, prideful, and incredibly devoted man, Tonto believes he knows far more than he truly does, and is cratering towards a negative end.
Backstory:
One of the many marines created by an Tzeenchian Wild Hunt Warband during the Legion Wars, Tonto was only noticeable for his modicum of psychic ability, which he used efficiently to defeat his more martial rivals and gain command over the entire group, after the defeat of its former lord by Carabello.
Having traveled the warp for decades, Tonto has gained an intimate knowledge of the ritualistic aspects of the Hunt-Wraith procedure, with its refinement becoming his one purpose.
Obsessive towards this goal, he feels that the secrets of the Kraken Lord may lead to some success in this task, and so he obsessively moved towards them, bargaining for a way out of the Eye.
He does not know what draws him to the Krakens, specifically, but he knows it is his destiny to conquer them, and do something great with their former domain.
He is around Gamma-Level as a Psyker, although sorcerous rituals allow him to (for limited amounts of time) utilize psychic abilities to the same extent as a Beta-Level
War Gear:
Morder
A force blade recovered from a rival sorceeer in the Warband, he is moderately skilled in its use, although he prefers battling with warpcraft a majority of the time.
Escudo
His suit of Black-Stag Terminator Armor, scavenged off of the corpse of an former lord he poisoned. It has become deeply linked to him (him being the one to wear it the longest), and it sometimes moves entirely of its own will to dodge attacks.

Formerly a Warpsmith/Techmarine, Corazón participated in the Siege of the Archonate, being crippled by Akritus effortlessly and barely surviving to be interred into a dreadnought.
While many of his fellow Dreadnoughts have succumbed to insanity, Corazón’s pure hatred has allowed him to maintain his sanity, and continue the Path to Glory.
Corazón has formed an alliance with Tonto, to destroy the Kraken Lords one and for all, although he has delayed the campaign somewhat by attempting to go after every successor at the same time.

Character Name: Corazón Oscuro
Alias/Epithets:
Broken Lord
Cogbreaker
Appearance: Corazón was interred within the chassis of a Hellforged Leviathan Dreadnought.
Wielding twin Siege Claws (their Meltas still in relative working order), although the Flamers built into the chassis have been replaced with Warflamers.
The most notable addition to the Chassis is 3 oversized Mechatendrils, specially added onto his chassis by The Circle.
These Mechatendrils possess the ability to inject Scrap-Code (courtesy of a Scrap-Code generator also built into the Chassis), and can also be used as a bludgeoning weapon.
Personality:
While he was once a bombastic, joyous figure, his rage has changed him.
Corazón cares not for anything but his vengeance, and he only takes cold joy in the fulfillment of even that.
It is assumed that, once it is over, he will devolve much like his brethren.
Backstory:
One of the few Techmarines amongst the Wild Hunt (not due to active discouragement, but simply temperamental incompatibility), Corazón has been alive since before the Heresy, joining the Primarch’s personal fleet a few years before the acquisition of the first Hide.
Corazón was happy to throw off the chains of the Imperium, allowing him to advance his research for the first time in decades, and he happily obeyed the orders of the Primarch to lead and lend a band of his soldiers to the Siege of the Archonate.
Proving a mediocre commander, he would lead from the front to ensure his forces were able to achieve victory, which would eventually lead to Akritus, Primarch of the Kraken Lords, impaling him and leaving him on the verge of death.
Barely kept alive by force-of will, he languished for a full hour before being found by his allies, somehow still alive despite both of his hearts being severely damaged.
Interred into a Dreadnought, he would fight upon Terra, forming the connections to specific Dark Mechanicum individuals he would use to form his Circle.
Now he assists in the Siege of Pelagos for his only goal, having lost the ability to see value in anything but revenge.
War Gear:
Chassis of Corazón:
As described in his Appearance, assembled over the course of millennium by The Circle under his direction.

The Circle:
A group of 12 Magos of the Dark Mechanicum, they support and maintain Corazón’s Chassis in exchange for a debt that remains unpaid.
It seems that victory in the Siege will finally relieve him of the Debt, if it is a success, but until then they ensure that (occasionally), the Dreadnought goes on long excursions into the Eye, for plunder.
Each is a master in their field, although they are relatively rusty in terms of combat.

More Power, more Wealth, more Resources, they only function due to this desire to take and gain.
Comrade will betray comrade for a bauble, brother will kill brother for a shiny piece of metal, and Ruidosamente is the only reason they have not completely disintegrated.
Chapter History:
Ruidosamente, an veteran of the Horus Heresy, respected (to the extent a Slanneshi can respect anyone) amongst the Slanneshi portions of the legion not embroiled in the Legion Wars had prowled the eye for millennium in the Envio, seeking perfection and knowledge on how to achieve perfection.
Learning of Tonto’s scheme to attack Pelagos, he contacted the Druid, and, after 9 days and 6 nights of discussion, they came to an agreement.
Calling the most deranged of the servants of the Prince to him, he now prepares to slake his hunger for Loyalist Blood once again.

Character Name: Rudiosamente
Alias/Epithets:
Shadow-Equerry
Merodeador
Holder of a Shard
Lance of the Prince
Appearance: Image(Replace the White and Black with a more varied assortment of colors)
Personality:
Echoing many aspects of his own Primarch’s personality, Rudiosamente possesses a great love of the trappings of the nobility, although his true self is a brutish opportunist, the contrast pleasing the Prince.
Backstory:
A nobleman’s child from one of the many mini-empires destroyed by Carabello, his ascension to the hollowed ranks of the Astarte was difficult, the child nearly dying on several occasions.
Sadly for the rest of the Galaxy, he endured, and was initiated as a simple marine, sent to work directly under the Primarch.
Displaying a brutality and love of hunting similar to the Primarch, he became a member of Carabello’s inner circle, gaining the title of Shadow-Equerry for the trust placed in him (especially in comparison to Ultimo).
He would gradually be corrupted by exposure to the Hides during his common meetings with Carabello, and when the Purge of the loyalists began, he was the second to touch ground after his Primarch, hearing a vile, yet beautiful song echoing in his ears.
He would kill many loyalist champions upon Istvann III, wielding a spear that would soon become far more important.
When the Cazadorian Blade was shattered in combat against Neron, it was Rudiosamente who claimed the Lion’s Share of the remnants, and after gaining permission, melted them down to form a new head for his spear.
He would break off from his Primarch at Terra, an amicable departure, and would then gravitate towards worship of Slannesh, joining many bands of wandering Marines (even those outside of his Legion) to better see how the chosen of the Prince worshipped.

After claiming the Envío in a melee between many Slanneshi Chaos Lords, he disappeared from the face of the Galaxy for many years, traveling the eye and reinforcing his devotion, only returning now that the Rift has opened many opportunities.
War Gear:
Lanza Profana:
A Power-Spear possessing a head made of remnants of the Cazadorian Blade, the Lanza is Rudiosamente’s main weapon.
The Lanza is a strangely normal weapon, it’s nature and form (mostly) unchanged even after its colossal amount of time in the Eye.
This normality means it is more the skill of Rudiosamente that gives it its reputation, more than any unique characteristics of the weapon itself.

Gemidos:
The helmet always worn by Rudiosamente, the Gemidos has been modified to possess a Sonic Weapon, able to release a warp-infused scream, potentially able to burst the ears of opponents near-enough to Rudiosamente.
The Gemidos was supposedly constructed by Corazón, with Rudiosamente gaining inspiration from a battle with a xenos race in the Ghoul Stars and trading many favors for its construction.

Panoply Vanidad:
Multiple spikes attached to the back of Rudiosamente’s Power-Pack, containing the skulls of notable opponents (mainly fellow Chaos Lords) he has slain.
He also has the head of an Aeldari Farseer impaled upon the Panoply, their Spirit Stone placed slightly under it, occasionally tortured when he gets bored.

Pre-Heresy
Once the 6th Legion, then the Stellar Hunters, and then the Wild Hunt, the former-6th have always been a legion of changing nature.
Despite the many changes in alligence, favor, and luck they have experienced over the centuries, their geneseed is remarkably unremarkable, with only an increased tendency to loot items off of enemy corpses being noted.
Originating as the 6th Legion, informally known as the Far-Riders, they were originally created from the Children of the Steppe, who voluntarily swore loyalty to the Emperor.
Despite their nomadic blood, the 6th were originally used for Siege Warfare, attacking the enemies of the emperor in whatever Citadel they hid in, before forcing them out for honorable combat.
The Far-Riders were beloved by the common soldiery of the time, for they prevented many from dying with their mere presence.
After the Great Crusade began, they continued to fight in the manner they had attempted-to-perfect upon Terra, seeking the strongest of worlds to prove themselves worthy of being the Emperor’s Far-Riders.

The introduction of their Primarch (who despised siege warfare, and held no love for the common people) was a colossal culture shock, with those who had been present (Caballero had not called all of his children to assemble at Albion, for whatever reason) being some of the only members of the Legion to fully adopt the strategy and mindset of their Gene-Father, the rest either gradually attempting to combine Speed-and-Siege warfare, or rejecting the changes to doctrine entirely.
As Caballero’s corruption began, and he began instituting even more esoteric and strange tactics, those of the legion outside his personal-fleet drifted even further, either attempting to refine their regular Speed-Warfare, returning to Siege-Warfare, or continuing to partake in Siege Warfare.

The Heresy
When it came time for the Atrocity at Istvann III, it was only around 75% of the legion (around 50% Loyalists) that arrived, the rest either too busy in combat or simply uncaring of what they saw as an in-glorious pacification.
As news of the Betrayal escaped into the rest of the Galaxy, the Loyalists remaining were devastated.
Even with their dislike of his tactics, he was still their Gene-Father, and to hear the betrayal he had partaken in shook them to the core.
Many of these Loyalists evacuated to Terra after long and horrid battles with (what would later be known as) Daemons, while others defected to the side of their father (usually those who had attempted to keep up with his warfare strategies).
The Prateorian, knowing the worth of more soldiers but distrusting the members of a Traitor-Legion, sent them to fight in conflicts outside of Terra or it’s systems, the loyalists defending whatever they were assigned to defend with every drop of blood in their bodies.
These loyalists would eventually form chapters after the end of the Heresy and Scouring, becoming great siege engineers, constantly targeted by their deranged brothers (Although many of the chapters have no idea of the connection between their chapter and the Wild Hunt).
3 Marines were allowed onto Terra, although what happened to them afterwards is unknown.
The portions of the Legion that stood with their Gene-Father would divide even further, with only those directly connected to him remaining devoted to him specifically, the rest losing faith and either joining the Arch-Heretic’s forces, or joining the bands of Astartes gradually becoming devoted to a singular god.
These portions would only meet upon Terra, where the Arch-Heretic wounded the Emperor, but would be forced to flee.
Post-Heresy
Those who survived would either Rejoin their father in his exile to the Eye, join the bands of warriors who had become truly Devoted to the Gods, or, in the case of the Arch-Heretic’s supporters, join the band that would eventually become the Warmaster’s Army.

Huntsmen:
The Wild Hunt has always possessed a fondness for the Bike Squad, which has remained unchanged even with their exile to the Eye.
The former Bike/Jetbike squads of the Hunt, however, have changed greatly since their days in the Materium, their rider’s desires to become apex hunters causing them to fuse with both Bike and Daemon.
As a result of being so intimately connected to the Warp they are able to (when an area is filled with enough raw emotion to enflame the warp) create portals to specific areas of interest on the battlefield, using this skill to flank their enemies, or attempt to hit the backlines.
Huntsmen must constantly struggle to keep their personalities intact, and if they fail, they become creatures only concerned with the Hunt.

Soulhounds:
Creatures found, captured, and tamed upon the Daemon-World of Caza, Soulhounds act as companions for the marines of the Wild Hunt.
Generally Dog-Shaped creatures, the Soulhounds main ability is to smell the spiritual “scent” of an object or individual, leading their masters to it in exchange for rewards of flesh or souls.
They are able to catch and follow a scent from halfway across a planet, and members of the Wild Hunt will use this to make a game of giving an target a 39 minute head-start, before having the Hounds track them down.
Soulhounds are no slouches in combat, able to bite through Flak Armour, but they are generally ineffective against Astartes or creatures/individuals with similar defensive abilities to one.

Black Stag Terminators:
The former Honour-Guard of the notable lords in the Legion, the Black Stag now act as an elite force beholden to none but the Primarch/Warlord (of a specific warband).
Their armor is heavily mutated, commonly possessing antlers or horns atop their helmets, or a deformed and elongated Vox-Grille that shares more in common with a maw (including the ability to bite).
While some Huntlords of the Legion wear similar Terminator Armor, the Black Stag are specifically noted for their incredible loyalty (a rare characteristic in the Eye) and will.
Black Stag armor clashes constantly with its wearer, meaning that in combat a Terminator must fight both enemy and self to remain alive, although its incredible protection and strength means that many attempt the rituals to dominate the armor.

Druids:
The former-Librarians of the Legion, their psychic abilities now manifest in control over nature and beast.
Druids fulfill many roles in the Wild Hunt, acting as deranged Apothecaries, Preachers (of the dark gods), and Librarians depending upon the situation.
While the institution of the Librarium was slow to spread within the Stellar Hunters (Carabello not particularly fond of psykers due to negative experiences in the Ghoul Stars), upon the beginning of the Heresy, they were rapidly embraced due to their power and ability to counter the enemies own psychic abilities.
A notable Druid, Tonto the Knowing, is currently fighting in the Siege of Pelagos.

Hunt-Wraiths:
Serfs and Slaves who have had the souls drained from them by a Druid, acting as unfeeling, unrelenting attackers.
While not truly undead, Hunt-Wraiths are named for the lack of emotion caused by their souls being forcibly separated from their flesh.
The process to drain the soul is kept secret by a small coven of Druids, and it seemingly only works on baseline humans, but the ability to gain perfectly loyal and uncaring subordinates and soldiers is incredibly helpful for the Legion’s conflicts, both inside and outside the Eye.
Druids who create Hunt-Wraiths are known as Almas.

Pact-Wraiths:
A strange creation even amongst the strange things created by other experiments with the Hunt-Wraith ritual, the Pact-Wraiths are former human psykers who, while technically still alive, have lost all agency they once possessed.
Unlike their Hunt-Wraith brethren, the Pact-Wraiths posses the entirety of their souls, although their fate is no less horrid then the Hunt-Wraiths.
The “Pact” was created by the first individual to create a Pact-Wraith, the Druid Aglutinante, who, in a fit of “divinely-inspired-madness” found a way to bind a psyker under so many (sorcery-enforced) rules that they lost all sense of humanity.
Used as living batteries or minor battlefield support for their masters, the Pact-Wraiths are very rarely seen, the ritual for creating one passed down in a direct chain from the 10 individuals Agluinante taught, in a chain of Masters-to-Apprentices.
It is believed only 10 Druids capable of creating them are currently alive.

Wendigo Daemon-Engine:
A Daemon-Engine created during the Scouring, the Wendigo is one of the greatest achievements of the former-techmarines of the Wild Hunt.
Normally possessed by strange, flaming daemons (known as K’daii) dragged from the deepest portions of the warp, the Wendigo is constantly aflame with the Daemon’s power, striking with claws of molten warp-iron and expelling flame from their maws.
These Wendigos would prove devastating in the Legion Wars, their claws able to melt through Ceramite given a large enough amount of time, and their surprising fire breath burning away the flesh of the unwise fellows who’s blessings were not equivalent to a helmet.
The main downside of the Wendigo (aside from the struggle to acquire a K’daii) is their weakness to ranged attacks, the common Bolter able to impede (if not kill) them easily, and more heavy weapons being able to destroy or wound them easily.
Wendigos are about as tall as an Astarte, although far thinner.
Warpsmiths who create Wendigos are known as Flamesmiths.

Units Devoted to Specific Gods:

Blooddrainer Knights:
Astarte devoted to Khorne who walk the Path of Bloodletting, retaining their sanity in exchange for the constant sacrifice of blood.

They eschew the wielding of two weapons at once, instead using Great-Shields and Blades similar to their founder.
They are much weaker in comparison to their frenzied cousins, not being granted the same strength or ferocity, but their ability to plan an encounter and restrain themselves in combat means they pose a similar threat to any servant of the Imperium.
Only 128 Blooddrainers exist, the path being difficult to maintain without spiraling into insanity.

Audilo Marines:
Slannesh-Worshipping Astarte who utilize Power-Spears and Sonic Weaponry to devastating effect, warping and deluding the minds of those they fight.

Inspired by Rudiosamente’s own tactics, they generally act as a bodyguard to him, or to those he deems interesting enough.
They are generally less-favored than their compatriots, their copying of another making them slightly boring in the eye of the Prince, and many of the Seekers are unable to handle the minuscule amount of discipline required, returning to their prior combat styles immediately.
There are more than 100, but only 100 have gathered around Rudiosamente.

Emplauged Chaos Spawn
A project by Enfermos, the Emplauged are Chaos Spawn who have been specifically altered and experimented on, their constant growth being pruned much like a tree, with only growths considered viable remaining.

The Pruning of the Spawn is a constant, endless process, entire families of Cultists (known as Wretches, for their thankless task) dedicated to ensuring that’s single one of the seven is properly able to join combat at a moment’s notice, the most devoted of the Wretches joining the field and actively pruning them even as they battle.

There were formerly 14 Emplauged, but conflict has whittled their numbers down to Seven.

Character Name: Caballero Cazador
Alias/Epithets: The Lord of the Wild Hunt.
The Hunter of the Gods.
The Beast of Pacifico.
Appearance:

Personality:
Once a pragmatic, ruthless man willing to sacrifice anything and anyone to achieve his goals, Caballero’s mind, unlike his flesh, did not change much.
He retained his fondness for prestige and finery, and thus, even with his deformed flesh, he continues to live the life of a nobleman when not crushing the upstarts within what remains of his legion.

Backstory:

Many of these groups only exist in the records of the Inquisition or the Hunters, for they were wiped out to the last.

The first to flee from Terra, he travelled to the Eye, randomly attacking and capturing civilians all along away, to replenish the chapter’s rapidly dying serfs.
His transformation into a Daemon Prince, unlike that of his brothers, was gradual, the sheer terror and blood he had forced to echo in the memory of mankind gradually fusing his body and his hides, eventually turning him to the beast he is today.

Albion, now irrelevant to the Hunt, settled on a Daemon Planet covered in a deep forest, constant fog, and horrid monsters.
Christening this world “Caza”, he built a great citadel, where he (to this day) intrigues against those daemon princes of his own legion, occasionally visited by warbands of his Legion seeking favor.

Although, with the call of the Gods echoing across the Galaxy once more, he has (for the first time in millennia) turned his eyes from his games of intrigue, looking upon the Galaxy and all of its new prey for him to hunt.

Patron God: Chaos Undivided
Daemonic Powers: Improved Speed, Strength, Durability.
Control over (Daemon-influenced) Nature.
Ability to Induce Terror (effecting even Astarte, if they are of weak enough constitution)
Teleportation between large areas of daemonic plant-life to other similar areas.

Domain in the Warp:
Caza
Primary servants:
1/4 of Wild Hunt CSM Legion.
2 Daemon Princes (former Wild Hunt Space Marines)
Character Biography: Already covered?

Character Application

Character Name: Lexico Arcanus Tavita (Rho-Phi 43)
Alias/Epithets:
    Lady of Brass
    Archmagos of the Ordo Apocatstasia
Archmagos Intendant of Astropa V (Former)
Appearance:
”Standing” at eleven feet in height, the monolith within which the consciousness of Lexico Arcanus Tavita resides is a great mass of steel and brass. Vaguely torso-shaped with the neck turning into three separate entities, each ending in a brass skull, a dozen cogitators within store and categorize information, much akin to a library, while her own brain remains separate. Multitudes of skeletal arms protrude from her torso, each ending in a claw. For locomotion, the Lexico Arcanus relies on a series of anti-grav engines for propulsion, moving her bulk at a walking pace.
Personality:
Stoutly independent and a devout follower to the principles of the Ordo Katastrophica, Tavita is among those who aspire to truly be separate from both the Imperium, for it is corrupt and stifling, and the Warp Gods, for they are an impediment to logical progress and the Omnissiah’s Will. To these ends, she maintains practical ties to the Traitor Legions, as they represent the bulk of power outside of the Imperium, which largely consist of material dealings, repairs of vessels, and actions of that nature. Her efforts to continue independence from Chaotic influences have continued to be largely successful, however a portion of paranoia has led to a degree of self-isolation by the Lexico Arcanus from her Ordo in their common operations.
Backstory:
Born into the Mechanicum before the Heresy and the Schism of Mars, Rho-Phi 43 would prove to be a rising star on the distant Forge World of Astropa V. A capable priest, her diagnostic skills would prove to further her career as assignment to the Divisio Linguistica, the branch of the Mechanicum assigned to xenos languages and interpretation. Rho-Phi 43 would be detached, along with seven other members of the Divisio Linguistica, to the Wild Hunt. During her tenure among that Legion, Rho-Phi 43 would gain somewhat of a reputation as a capable translator, at times being called by the very Primarch himself for identification of major artifacts, translator of xenos records about such items, and things of that nature. While the majority of the Legion, as well as her other colleagues, followed the appointed Equerry Ultimo Lealtad she would continue to accompany the Primarch on his incursion into the Ghoul Stars. The battle against the beast which Caballero hunted would not be one which Rho-Phi 43 took part in, however, as she awaited the return of the Primarch aboard his vessel in orbit.

Soon after the return of the Primarch, which bore no threat to the linguist, she would be recalled to Astropha V for further training into the secrets of the Mechanicum. There, she would be inducted into the Holy Order of the Logis, a data analyst for the ongoing campaigns of the Forge World, for their many expenditures. Continuing to be exceptionally capable, Rho-Phi 43 would become increasingly interested in the developments of more capable technologies, more capable weapons, better ways, and so would eventually come into contact with the Ordo Katastrophica. An organization dedicated to discovery and innovation, they comprised a great many of the Mechanicum priesthood aboard the Explorator Fleets which often moored at Astropha V. As time passed and the schism began to become increasingly apparent, Rho-Phi 43 would take it upon herself to begin preparations to establish herself as the dominant authority in the area, ensuring that the planet and its population remained safe from the strife which would inevitably come if they were found to be divided.

She would call on the services of several Tech-Priests of Astropha V, Secutors drawn from a nearby Explorator Fleet who shared her concerns, and with that force ordered a decapitating strike which left her as the ruling authority of the Forge World. While such a thing would prove to have consequences under normal circumstances, the rapid encroachment of the Schism of Mars provided ample distraction and her communications with Mars would clear any investigation by the authority of Kelbor-Hal. When the Schism began, Astropha V rapidly gathered and dispensed a war fleet to aid in the Heretic efforts, beginning to outwardly produce massive amounts of war materials. She soon began preparations for the inevitable assault, however, drawing Explorator Fleets back and evacuating useful materials and equipment onto the massive vessels. Rho-Phi 43 herself took command of the Ark Mechanicus vessel Ters Auglat, which had suffered recent heavy damage to a xenos counterattack and so had lost her bridge and commanding Magos. Exterminatus would be declared on an empty Astropha V some decades later.

Since that point, she has taken on the name of Tavita after an ancient Martian legend whose precise origins have been lost, moving about the Ghoul Stars in self-isolation to offer her services to both the Wild Hunt and other occasional renegade factions. The Legion had proved to be somewhat stable compared to a great many others, had a large void fleet, and did not have large numbers of the requisite support vessels needed to maintain such a large fleet and, as such, were a logical choice for the newfound self-made Archmagos. The Legion Wars between the various Traitor Legions would reap a heavy toll on all involved, shattering most of the Legions into different factions and moving most of the Primarchs into some form of hiding. The Ordo Apocatstasia, however, would remain largely intact throughout the Wars, acting in many ways as a neutral party far enough from the warfare in the Eye of Terror that no Legion was capable of mustering a large enough force to assault them while leaving their other concerns properly guarded. Many of the scattered vessels which came to the Ordo would become salvage, however, as their crews proved unable to defend them. As such, in some ways it even grew in strength.
War Gear:
    Personal Housing
As the pseudo-dreadnought within which Tavita has interred herself, her throne is equipped with a number of technologies to enable both common operation and self defense. Powered by a number of anti-grav engines, it is able to hover a foot above the ground and enables her to fall from high altitudes without sustaining damage, while she is protected by both Atomantic Shielding, of the same type as the Legio Cybernetica, and a Flare Shield. While a number of articulated claw arms are present about the front of her chassis, several Mechadendrites are also mounted, modified with Shock Chargers.
    Dagan
Seeming to be a noticeably larger variant of a Heldrake in physical format and characteristics and developed by the Ordo Apocatstasia, the favored pet of Tavita differs from these by virtue that he did not originate as a Space Marine craft in any way, nor is he under the control of any Daemon. Instead, Dagan is a product of the Magos among the Ordo, his frame housing a number of cogitators and Machine Spirits which are constantly cleansed, praised, and inspected for any signs of faults. As a result of this treatment, Dagan’s Machine Spirit hovers suspiciously close to being considered Silica Animus, though struggles to cross the line into true speech, instead communicating via an oversized Vox array mounted in the neck which also serves as an acoustic weapon. The frame is mounted with a Conversion Beam Projector in the “mouth” while the optical sensors are aided by an Omnispex scan device. Hydraulic claws are fitted at the end of Dagan’s legs, as well as integrated Irrad-Cleaners. Dagan is largely unpainted, with steel and brass trim.
    Silent Choir
Ten Vultarax Stratos-Automata who act as Tavita’s personal guard, these automata are modified to be fitted with Construct Shields. In addition to this, their maneuverability has been augmented with several retro-thrusters and anti-grav systems to allow for far superior maneuverability while their flight profile coding has been modified for far more erratic, juking types of flight.

Organization Application

Organization Name: Ordo Apocatstasia
Loyalist/Traitor/Renegade: Renegade Mechanicum Enclave
Affiliation if Traitor/Renegade: N/A
Organization Sigil/Symbol:
Other Heraldry:
Heraldry for Ordo Apocatstasia troops and Thallax primarily consists of a primary dirty white with blackened trim, a representation of the Ordo’s confinement in the Ghoul Stars. For warships, however, these vessels are largely left painted black, in part to spite enemy vessels forced into optical targeting and in part due to logistical reasons. A simple Cog Mechanicum inscribes all which fight under the banner of the Ordo.
Homeworld(s)/Home Ship(s): Ters Auglat, Ark Mechanicus
Measuring at 19 kilometers in length, the Ters Auglat is an artifact of the Pre-Heresy Mechanicum and of Explorator Fleet Gamma-Aquilae 993. Heavily armored and triple-shielded, the vessel’s length is subdivided into over five hundred individual compartments, each with limited capabilities to provide power, oxygen, and to be fully habitable even in the case of a full hull breach elsewhere on the ship. Her primary armaments come in the form of a unique, developmental superheavy lance mounted in a semi-traversable barbette which is emplaced where the Nova Cannon normally is mounted, two Godsbane lance batteries, two superheavy missile batteries, and a large hangar bay in the place of the two macrocannon batteries. The interior of the vessel contains massive manufactories, refineries, a comprehensive power grid, laboratories for the testing of xenos biologies as well as chemical interactions, storage facilities for the large stocks of biological and chemical agents which the Ordo keeps for planetary assault purposes, and gene-bays for vat-growth purposes.

      480 Thallax
    XXVIII Thallax Cohort
      480 Thallax

Organization Structure:
Largely drawing on the organizational doctrine of the Pre-Heresy Mechanicum, the Ordo Apocatstasia does differentiate in some notable ways. With Tavita appointed as the Archmagos of the organization as a whole, those Magos Dominus in command of the individual vessels are subordinated to her overall authority in all matters. These Magos are self-organized into unofficial clades, which can be considered equal to civilian political bodies in how they wish to influence the overall direction of the Ordo, how it deals with other polities, and so on. Those in command of the ground forces are subordinated to the Archmagos completely, with little authority other than in those areas of vessels assigned to them.

Character Application

Character Name: 92-Saseum
Alias/Epithets: Mechasapient of the Ordo Apocatstasia
Appearance:
Standing at 5’4”, 92-Saseum’s physical stature is by no means impressive. With a shaved skull, several sets of wires jutting from cranial implants, and a missing jaw after a choice encounter with an Astartes strike team, it would prove difficult to describe the priest as normal. Optical implants are also present, enabling 92-Saseum to examine artifacts with far greater clarity and information. His arms and legs are likewise augmentations, designed with strength and robustness in mind. A reactor is housed, supplying the priest with his power necessities. Charcoal robes, a dozen Mechadendrites projecting from his back, and a servo-arm complete the nominal image of the dedicated Tech-Priest.
Personality:
Professional, succinct, and timely, the Mechasapient 92-Saseum prefers to keep his interactions with both fellow priests and those outside the Ordo to a minimum, save for the brief data-bursts of Lingua-technis between colleagues. Viewing it as a burden to perform such interactions, he keeps to the point with a remarkable dedication. Coldly calculating, 92-Saseum practices logical analysis in all, including the rare combat. Outside of such extremes, however, he maintains a technical expertise and interest, having several personal projects.
Backstory:
Vat-grown aboard the Ters Auglat, 92-Saseum would prove to be generally standard among the masses as a Tech-Priest. One of hundreds, he developed as standard, surviving the culls and trials which sent many other aspiring prospects into the Servitor shops, and would quickly develop a natural sense of discipline, analytical ability, and problem-solving. Identified as having a capable understanding of technology and the mysteries of the Machine God, 92-Saseum would be assigned to Transmechanic work aboard the cruiser Ces Lares.

In this role he would gradually acquire more augmentations, aiding his troubleshooting of problems aboard the vessel as well as with communications in the Skitarii Legions assigned to the vessel. While there, 92-Saseum would be exposed to information regarding the Cult of the Micro-Omnisiah when the cruiser scoured a destroyed Adeptus Mechanicus site on the world of Presia Laures. As a result of this new information, he found a new drive to begin perfecting smaller and smaller communications equipment, a perfection of the Machine God’s intention. After several decades at this work, while also performing his duties as a Transmechanic, 92-Saseum would be accepted into the Artisan priesthood as a Technoarcheologist.

In this role, he would spend nearly half a century among his ilk in pursuit of archeological sites among the Ghoul Stars. While success would be sparse, technology discovered in two instances would prove vital to efforts in restoring degraded life support systems across several vessels. As a result, 92-Saseum would be recognized for his efforts. Stationed aboard the Yhs Khara, one of the twin Goliath class Foundry vessels of the Ordo Apocatstasia, he would be among those developing manufacturing techniques and systems in various efforts and pushes. The main drive of such things would involve the development of lighter, more accurate weaponry through the use of various newly found techniques. In addition to this, 92-Saseum would become a notable figure in relations between the Ordo Apocatstasia and various Renegade and Heretic Legion organizations, negotiating trade deals and enforcing the independence of the Ordo. While not of the Logi, which would have afforded the priest with a hyper-accurate knowledge of the interior logistics of the Ordo and others, he nevertheless possessed an attuned sense for such things superior to the warlords which came to be standard. What aided the Mechasapient far more, however, would be his discretion in making references to the Omnissiah and to other such deifications, maintaining an honest professionalism.
War Gear:
    Personal Gear
Armored with a composite chassis underneath his robes, 92-Saseum keeps on his person several items for the purposes of defense. A Refractor field is always worn, implanted in a slot about the back, while a number of Mechadendrites project from the shoulder blades and lower back area. While often not encumbered, these can be seen holding Transonic Razors when combat is expected. In addition to this, the Servo-Arm can be equipped with a Hellgun.

Character Name: Clausewitz Parsarian
Alias/Epithets: The Imperial Scholar, Emperor's Scholar, Warrior Monk, Scourge of the Dhrukari

Appearance: Clause has aged much since his entrance into the warp. His once flowing blond hair is now a dulled gray, with streaks of platinum framing eyes that now glow in a dark violet and now rimmed with wrinkles that, while mostly skindeep, show his years. His armor, once golden and opulent, is a dark grayish black, showing an everlasting state of mourning for the sons lost, his helmet, fashioned similar to that of his sons, now has a pair of glowing green eyes.

Personality: All primarchs are by nature of their creation, beautiful in their own ways. Clause was not among the more physically attractive among his siblings, but what he lacked in undergarment soiling beauty he made up for in personality. He was known to be jovial, friendly, welcoming and warm. To his sons he was Father, to his mortal companions, a true friend, and to their children, “Uncle Clause”.

When alone or at work, he was studious, meticulous, so detail oriented even a tech priest would think him just a bit obsessed. He craved knowledge and information more so then just about everything sans his always penitent goal to further advance mankind towards what he saw to be his dream.

On the battlefield he leads with a calm, calculating, cold mind. Warfare is not about honor, or glory, or wealth or fame. War is war and war is hell and Clause wages it as efficiently as possible. While his sons were known for their commonality of advanced technology they were known for their tactically flexible and efficiency minded maneuvers and actions. He prioritized minimizing casualties while maximizing the combat effectiveness of his troops.

In more personal terms, he was known for being exceptionally cold, ruthless, and brutal. Mixing various fighting styles and techniques to end a fight as quickly and effectively as possible.

Backstory:
Clausewitz can be tracked back to the forested world of Brunhild. A back water even by imperial standards, Brunhild lay in a smal, localized warp squall that kept it veiled from the imperium for centuries. It did how ever, posses a webway portal in a concealed mountain cave that was frequently used by Druhkari as egress to raid the world of it's humans for untold thousands of years.

Clause landed on this world after spending the in his capsule and was found by a village alderman and his wife. Being one of the few able to read and write in the archaic script used by the distant ancestors of the world's inhabitants, he was often hidden and hunted by the Druhkari as they had made it a goal to stop the humans from ever organizing by keeping all traces of their past few them by periodically destroying remnants of their culture.

Clause would change this. Quickly growing to his towering 13 feet and sporting alarming strength, speed, and grace, his adoptive father would teach the boy everything he knew.

The Druhkari would learn of him soon and set about a hunt for the Nascent Primarch, who would flee in to the endless mountain forests and dark woods known as the "Osining" we're he would employ his own form of Guerilla warfare while recruiting those able body enough to fight alongside him.

This war would bring the Druhkari's wrath down upon his allies full force. His adoptive mother and sisters subjected to violations and horrors unimaginable, his adoptive father merely being flayed alive, shurikans placed on his major nerve bundles and thrown down a rocky hill, and his home burned.

This would ignite a burning hatred for the Druhkari in his heart while so sparking a dark Fascination with the Aeldari in general.

He slowly started to loose his war, though he did make ample times and opportunity to experiment and develope weapons and tactics based on prices of information and interrogations when possible, the forces stacked against him were just too much.

On the eve of his defeat, a miracle would appear. A strange golden man with strange, humanoid soldiers in great armor defended from the heavens and began driving the Druhkari back.

Upon their meeting Clause did not challenge the man, rather invited him in to a secluded spot in the Ossining where they sat for two weeks straight, talking, discussing all manner of things, though the exact nature of the topics are still only known to Clause and the Emperor.

Upon joining the Great Crusade Clause took command of the 12th Legio Astartes and led them as their primarch. While having been found late in the crusade, he was among the last found actually, he would use the resources and men at his command to further the imperium and it's people.

Among his side projects was the first draft of would become the standard educational curriculum used by the Imperial Education system, several theoretical papers on warp travel and more infamously, the first prototype of the Kraken bolt shell.

On the battlefields he would further pursue the Druhkari and often came to blows with other Aeldari.

Upon the eve of the Great Betrayal Clausewitz and most of the 12th Legio were deployed thinly across the eastern fringes, participating in several smaller campaigns and actions. When the traitors fell upon them it was too late. On a dozen different worlds in a dozen different systems the scattered fleets and companies were set upon by traitor fleets and forces many times their number and slaughtered to the man. Despite their best efforts and valient stands, the 12th Legio was nearly exterminated entirely. Clausewitz's flag ship, the Arethusa's Wrath vanished and the Primarch was lost with it.

Upon the 2nd Founding, a bare minimum of the Burning Scrolls Gene seed survived the battle of terra and even fewer Burning Scrolls Astartes survived to train them. A decision was made to honor the 12th Legio as heroes and allow the new Marines to build their own identity. This first Chapter came to be known as the Raptors, named in honor of the Primarchs personal Companion and it's heritage as a Bird of prey.

Many years later, during the cursed 21st founding, a recovered stock of Gene seed from a formerly abandoned section of Luna was used to create two more chapters, the Reclusive and ruthless Retributors, known for their kill teams and proficiency in putting down rebellions and Chaos Cults, and the supposedly Cursed Lamenters, known for their selfless actions and horrible luck.

Clausewitz has been canonized as a saint, known for his caring personality and selfless actions and it remains a matter of great pride that he and and his sons have never fallen to the great enemy.

War Gear:
Archlight
An Ancient relic with origins dating back to Old Night. This rifle is sleek, well designed with a conventional design made up of an unknown metal alloy. Since it’s rebirth in his hands, the rifle has been tinkered with and upgraded from its original Coulgun configuration to a linear rail system that optimizes sheer projectile velocity and impact force at the cost of recharge speed.

The Last word
Using the frame of his long beloved plasma pistol after it burnt out, Clause has rebuilt the gun into a hybridized version of his Rifle and a bolt gun. Using a simple Revolver mechanism and incorporating a magnetized barrel. It holds 8 tailored bolt rounds upscaled to fit the primarch and he is known to use specialized and experimental rounds.

Will and Compassion
A pair of bladed weapons, Will is a large, basket hilted sword in nature to the old claymore swords of Terra’s distant past, while Compassion is a smaller fighting knife with a wider, reinforced grip, used for close quarters fighting and to act as a guard and parrying dagger.

Archimedes
Less a piece of wargear and more a companion, the bird is a large example of the last lineage of gene tailored hunting birds native to his homeworld. Taking the form of the largest breed of ancient Terran Eagle Owl scaled to nearly the size of a normal man. Seemingly nearly on par with human children in intelligence, the bird is functionally immortal as it will undergo a biological rebirth process in which it will shrink in size into a prepared nest of its own feathers before emerging from them as if fresh from an egg. Beyond its size, the beast is known to possess talons strong enough to damage thinner pieces of cerimite, and claws strong enough to fracture the bones of Astartes and outright pulverize those of lesser mortals.

Astartes/CSM
Chapter Name: The Raptors
Loyalist/Traitor/Renegade: Loyalist/Renegade it depends on who you ask.
Affiliation if Traitor/Renegade: To the Imperium, ostensibly, though many decry the actions of tainted Raptors as their own.
Chapter Sigil/Symbol: A white Raptor’s head upon whatever background the chapter chooses
Other Heraldry: N/A
Homeworld(s)/Home Ship(s) if fleet based: Various have been claimed, only known for certain to inhabit the Sutter Spiral nebula
Chapter Fleet Forces:
War Talon - A Fairly Standard Astartes Battle Barge, known to be its mobile headquarters.
Shadow Stalker - Standard Astartes Strike Cruiser
Zenobia’s Lament - A much older Strike cruiser dating to M32
Coatal - Gladius light frigate
Fairweather - Gladius Light frigate
Orb Weaver - Widowmaker class Corvette on loan from the Imperial Navy

Chapter Manpower: 980 Marines
Chapter Organization: 9 Companies, with the 80 officers spread evenly. Beyond that they fallow a fairly traditional chapter layout.
Chapter History:

They were made in the second founding, with what few remaining 12th Legio Burning Scrolls Gene-seed could be found among the ruins of Terra and trained by the few Burning Scroll’s Marines scattered across the Galaxy.

Character Name: Lord Johan Tyrad
Alias/Epithets: The Dark Harbringer
Appearance:
Personality: Tyrad is an angry soul tormented by the past glories he won as a Loyal servant of the False Emperor, before his fall to chaos. This makes him prone to violent outbursts and he keeps a collection of slaves nearby for the sheer purpose of killing them to sate his hunger for blood and death when the rage overtakes him.
Backstory: Johan Tyrad was once a loyal son of the Imperium of Man. He was selected to be an aspirant in the Silver Talons Space Marine Chapter over 3 centuries ago and for 200 years he served with distinction and pride. But then he began to experience the weakness of his Gene Seed. The Silver Talons had a dark secret of an inprinted rage that burned bright during particularly bloody combat that could only be extingiushed by the spilling of more blood. This fault, known as the Dark Lust, led Tyrad to fall to darkness and soon he led his Veteran Company into rebellion against the Chapter Master Acson Marius and the rest of the Chapter. After 5 bloody years of Civil War the Silver Talons were exhausted and defeated by Tyrad. The remaining marines joined him and his new Chaos Chapter as he led them to feed on the blood of their new enemies the Imperium.
War Gear: His scarred and sigil inscribed power armour that is now painted black to represent the mourning the fallen Silver Talons feel for their corruption, or at least once did.
His Bolt pistol and Chain axe are the only weapons Tyrad will use to bring death to his enemies.

CSM

Chapter Name: The Steel Breakers (Formerly the Silver Talons)
Renegade
Affiliation if Traitor/Renegade: a mix of Khorne and Chaos Undivided amongst the Steel Breakers
Chapter Sigil/Symbol: Either a bloody axe for the Khorne dedicated or the Chaos undivided star with the crossed axes in the middle
Other Heraldry: Skulls and limbs of former opponents.
Homeworld(s)/Home Ship(s) if fleet based: Home Ship is the Infernal Ruination. A large space hulk immovable on the edge of the Great Rift.
Chapter Fleet Forces: 3 Battle Barges which travel together raiding and burning as they go.
Chapter Manpower: 300 Chaos Space Marines and 6000 Slave soldiers
Chapter Organization: Lord Tyrad is the Chapter Master and he has 2 Captains to command 150 of his marines each. The Slave Soldiers are commanded by Tyrad himself who dedicates them to only the most brutal sieges.
Chapter History: The Steel Breakers were formerly the Silver Talons Chapter. As the Silver Talons they experienced a large number of siege battles that soon became their Chapter speciality. After the Civil War in the Chapter, started by Johan Tyrad, the Chapter fell to their Dark Lust (as their Gene seed flaw was known) and became a chapter of cutthroats and raiders. Whilst the number of marines who survived the Civil War is low the 300 or so who remain continue to look for the grandest fortresses to destroy and sack. Their heavy bombardment guns make them indispensible to many sieges across the galaxy. In the Thirteenth Black Crusade the Steel Breakers guns laid low many fortresses across the Imperium as the Black Crusade spread further than any before. But, this depleted the number of Chaos Space Marines in the Renegade Chapter from a 1000 to 300. The chapter now licks its wounds on the Infernal Ruination a space hulk made of all the Silver Talons former ships crushed and mashed together in a mockery of their former glory.

Patron God
: Khorne
Daemonic Powers: Berserker Rage. When the Dark Lust takes Tyrad feels a Daemonic fury fill his muscles with strength so immense he has been known to tear a Land Raider in two with his axe and fists alone.
Domain in the Warp: Their Space Hulk Infernal Ruination was once in the Eye of Terror travelling and raiding but now it sits within striking distance of the Nachmund Gauntlet.
Primary servants: The remaining 6000 slaves of Darkness used as cannon fodder in their sieges and also as practice and sacrifices. The 300 remaining Marines of the Chapter and the 50 members of the Fell Hammers.
Character Biography: Tyrad was born 400 years before the 13th Black Crusade. For 200 of those years he served with distinction in the Silver Talons. He led sieges as a Sergeant in the Veteran 5th Company finally becoming its Captain in his 200th year of service. But, it was then that the Dark Lust took him and he slew a meeting of Captains in a fit of rage and bloodlust as the memory of his Chapters founding Legions sire death flooded his memory. He fled covered in blood as the Chapter Master Acson Marius appeared in the room to see the meaning of the noise. His 5th Company fled with him their own minds corrupted as their Captains had been. Tyrad find a peaceful world, the world of Maxom, he fell upon the world with great abandon and destroyed cities, fortresses and many lives with his now renegade company. It was here he first dedicated his soul to Khorne, building a mighty pile of skulls in the Capital Hive City of Maxom of all the 10 million inhabitants. When his former chapter brothers found him and his company upon Maxom they found it a blasted landscape. It would be here the 5 year civil war would be fought between Tyrad and Marius. The chapter, wanting to keep their gene seed failing secret, asked for no help from the wider Imperium and at the end of 5 years of constant fighting and sieges Tyrad slew Marius. As Marius fell the remaining loyalists of the chapter fell to the Dark Lust and became the Fell Hammers, an elite group of Berserkers under the personal command of Tyrad. For the next 195 years Tyrad led his forces raiding and pillaging. Every world he raided he built a pile of skulls upon and took slaves to feed his relentless war effort. Some worlds he took hopefuls from and raised them to become corrupted Space Marines growing his Chapter again, before its heavy casulities in the Thirteenth Black Crusade.

Character Name: Akritus Ketos
Alias/Epithets: Archon of Epistilia, The Epistllean, Lord of the Third, Void Kraken, Palatine
Appearance:
Image

Personality: Sardonic to a fault, Akritus maintains a degree of self-confidence and snark in personal conversations. He harbours little respect to those that he believes underdeserving of it, only maintaining a cordial attitude when dealing with those that might take offense to his attitude. That said, Akritus is stil an honourable soul and displays it to those that have earned it, whilst maintaining a healthy degree of self-confidence in both himself and his authority. His greatest weapon, however, is his sharp intellect, being a master of administration and organisation, a fact that his attitude consistently has his foes underestimate.
Backstory: Akritus crashed upon the world of Epistilia, a planet that sat at the heart of the Epistillean Archonate. First discovered by agri-slaves, he spent his youth amongst them and devised more effective ways of agriculture and earning a sympathetic view for the lower classes of his world. Increased yields and the rapid growth of the child soon earned the attention of the ruling classes, he was confiscated and forcibly adopted by the Phaeton Dynasty.

It was here he discovered the ins and outs of politics, but insular and in the maintance of a stellar empire. Though despising the hedonistic lifestyle displayed by the rich, he bided his time in expectation to succeed his adoptive father and reform the autocratic state. However, an attempt to put down a minor rebellion led to the death of his adoptive father and necessitated him to take the reins of his dynasty and fight off the growing rebellion. He poured much of his skill in doing this task, first forcing the rebellion off the homeworld before systematically retaking worlds that had declared for the rebels, learning key skills in both void combat but in leadership and logistics. It was when he had fully destroyed the rebellion that he set to the far greater task of reorganising.

He shattered the old dynastic power structure, instead instituting a meritorious promotion system and eliminating the class restrictions, never having forgotten his origins amongst the poorest of society. These reforms were not wholly accepted, of course, and when rhetoric would not work he would show his enemies what it meant to trifle with Akritus. It was then that the Archonate encountered the Imperium, initial confrontations led to the Imperium displaying its full military might, likewise the presence of the Emperor cowed many that would have stood against them.

Recognising the unlikelihood of victory, Akritus allowed the Archonate to be absorbed into the Imperium, however the Emperor came to Epistilia and found Akritus. Recognising the similarity immediately, the two went off and discussed a great many things. When they returned, Akritus announced he was departing Epistilia to help lead the Great Crusade and his Legion. Finding them, he spoke with them before awarding the current Legion Master, Aguria Mestatine, to rule as Pagos in his stead, informing him to maintain the system and ensure the steady recruitment of aspirants for the legion.

Unleashed upon the Great Crusade, he led his sons in a number of conquests and crusades, quickly assembling an impressive list of victories and a steady reputation as honourable warriors. He encouraged his sons to diversify themselves, under the belief that they would be needed elsewhere at the terminus of the Great Crusade. The Rangdan Xenocides, however, provided a noticeable shift in the legion. Having fought in all three wars, the Emperor honoured his son for his services, granting him and his sons the right to wear the Palatine Aquila.

Though many would celebrate this, Akritus became concerned for the threats that might exist beyond the Imperium’s borders and resolved to meet them first. He dispatched a portion of his legion to defend the Archonate and assist other Expeditionary Fleets before moving to the Outer Dark. News of the legion began to be less frequent, fleets returning every few decades for repair and resupply before returning to the war in the Dark, though news often involved a list of worlds conquered and threats encountered.

It was in this manner that the Legion was absent for the opening stages of the Heresy, returning after sides had already been decided. With the Archonate under attack by the forces of the Arch-Traitor, he returned to battle them. However, he began to recognise it as a ploy to keep him and his legion away from the primary battlelines and made the ultimate decision to withdraw from the Archonate and redeploy his forces to more vital grounds, however he was not present at Terra until the aftermath of the battle.

Shamed that he had been absent from such a pivotal battle, he took to the Scouring with a burning fury never experienced before, dueling numerous siblings as he made haste to banish them from the material realm. The end of the Scouring saw him recognise the Great Crusade was at an end and the Imperium needed to change to survive. He formulated his thoughts in the Codex Astartes and used his standing to influence the legions to accept their separation, though its full acceptance differed from legion to legion.

Recognising his absence from the Imperium had meant he could not have played an active role in the key early stages, he swore to remain in the Imperium borders and fight defensively, however he did not lose his sight at the dangers that lay in the Outer Dark. He dispatched a portion of his legion there in Honourable Exile, so that they might maintain their vigilance there and defeat nascent threats to the Imperium. He later dissolved the Archonate, having deemed it a distraction that could be used against them, diving up planets amongst successor chapters.

Akritus was mortally wounded in the First Black Crusade, stabbed through by his sibling BLANK, however his life was sustained by implanting him within the stasis field. Unwilling to let their Lord be viewed as injured, he was taken to the secretive Fortress-Monastery Vitalus, built in the Outer Dark and away from the prying eyes of the Imperium, where apothecarions spent centuries attempting to heal their Lord. They have succesfully discovered how to repair the damage done to him, however the ages took their toll and none alive know how to deactivate the stasis field to allow them to heal him. So far as the Imperium and the majority of his chapter is aware, he perished at his brother's hand at the climax of the First Black Crusade.

War Gear: Charybidis - His mighty power trident, crafted by his brother Titus Ironborn, rests upon before his stasis chamber, its body has a scrimshaw appearance from thousands of Master Apothecarions leaving their mark in memory of their duty.

Ephesian’s Bite - Ornately designed bolt pistol

Aquila Palatine - The greatest award of Akritus, the eagle adorns his chest plate.

Following, they are present at a number of vital battles throughout the galaxy, ranging from the three battles of Armageddon to most recently the defeat at Cadia. Realising the threat posed to Epistilia, many units away from the home world have been recalled to help defend, in addition to a number of successor chapters volunteering.

Character Name: Napoli Morel
Alias/Epithets: The Emperor’s Dwarf, the Imp, Little Lion
Appearance:
Image

Personality: Hot-headed and aggressive, Napoli is the smallest, weakest, and youngest of the Primarchs. He constantly yearns for approval from the Emperor and makes it no secret that he is envious of the melee prowess of his brothers and sisters. Yet, post heresy, his anger has faded into grief and exhaustion after witnessing the fracturing of the Imperium and eons of constant fighting against traitors. But he never lost his love for the Emperor, his father.

Backstory: Pre-Heresy - After his birth, the Primarch Napoli was taken and scattered among the stars, separated and away from the rest of his siblings by the Chaos Gods. He landed in the middle of a war-torn planet of Gallia, a lost human colony suffering from numerous civil wars caused by a global wide collapse in the world economy. As soon as he was able, Napoli crowned himself the ruler of Gallia and led a decade-long series of coalition wars to subdue the planet and unite with the rest of the Imperium.

When the Imperial Fleet arrived, he personally ventured out to greet the emissaries and felt a great sense of achievement when he met with the Emperor in person. Napoli did most of the talking as he proudly boasted of all of his governance and military victories that transformed Gallia from one of ruination to one of stability. The people were unified, the law was restored, and the word of the Emperor has finally reached their ears.

However, the Emperor said little to Napoli’s grandeur, much to his mild disappointment, and said even less of his plans. The Little Lion was told that he was the last Primarch to be found which was why everything felt less grandeur in comparison with the achievements of his older siblings. The next words that came out of the Emperor’s mouth ended up with Napoli in charge of the 4th Legion, one that he will create from his own image and lead to the frontlines. For such a legion, Napoli called it the “Emperor's Eagles”, the largest army of supersoldiers that he has ever assembled.

For controlling a legion so vast to assist in conquerable the galaxy, Napoli resorted to splitting his legion into smaller, autonomous armies capable of independent movement. In theory, this would allow for his legion to conquer more planets and stars quickly and converge onto a single point more efficiently. Additionally, the patience Napoli had for his space marines earned them the moniker “The Grumblers” for having the privilege to speak openly.

Heresy: Being the largest legion meant that it experienced the most fracturing out of all the legions, much to the horror and dismay of Napoli. The Chaos Gods had taken over many of the autonomous warbands of the Emperor’s Eagles by seducing the leading commanders into delusions of usurping Napoli’s status. With communications severed, Napoli can only depend on the space marines under his direct command to sweep through the Imperium to search and destroy the traitors and hopefully, reconnect with the remaining loyalists.

Post-Heresy: Napoli and his twelve champions went missing, save for the remainder of his loyal Space Marines, having disappeared into the warp to pursue the traitors.

War Gear:

Triumph: A two-handed relic power whose blade is taller than Napoli himself and an absurdly sharp one too. Perfectly balanced and capable of carving through armor and flesh with terrifying ease.

Davout: A simple but dependable bolt pistol that had severed Napoli ever since he was given command of the 4th Legion.

The Eagle’s Banner: A banner crafted by Napoli, portraying the fearsome glory of the Emperor, to carry into battle to both inspire the soldiers and strike fear into the enemies.

(Delete below category if not applicable)
Astartes/CSM
Chapter Name: The Emperor's Templars
Loyalist/Traitor/Renegade: Loyalist
Affiliation if Traitor/Renegade: N/A
Chapter Sigil/Symbol: A Golden Eagle on a Blue Background
Other Heraldry: A white Sword flanked by wings on a red background
Homeworld(s)/Home Ship(s) if fleet based: Gallia was the homeworld before adopting Glorious as the Home ship for the Emperor's Eagles
Chapter Fleet Forces:
Glorious - Battle Barge
Absolution - Battle Barge
Foe-Hammer - Battle Barge

Vengeance and Wrath - two strike cruisers

Hope and Avenger - two Vanguard Light Crusiers

Chapter Manpower: 1000
Chapter Organization: Organized as per the Codex, though not without some resistance from the traditionalists. There has been compromises to ensure a smooth transition into the Codex. In the absence of Napoli, the command structure of the chapter has decentralized in which the 12 Marshals debate and collaborate on battle plans and strategies with the High Marshal as the final authority in all discourse. Questing and vows have become a common tradition for both recruits and veterans alike as Librarians assign missions based on the visions they have seen based on precognition. Rather than training in a Scout Company, Neophytes are apprenticed to an Initiate to be taught the ways of the Emperor's Templars, fighting alongside them in mixed Crusader Squads on the battlefield while acting as the Initiate's servant between campaigns. The final Initiation involves drinking from a golden chalice that is believed to be Napoli's personal cup. A holy relic that grants protection against the xenos and demonic forces.

Chapter History: Formerly the core of the 4th Legion, comprised of the oldest, most experienced, and most loyal of the Space Marines under Napoli. The destruction brought on by the Heresy brought immense shame and scorn for the traitor legions, forcing the loyalist remnants to reorganize in the First Founding. In penance, they took up worship of the Emperor, believing in his divinity and sought out to purge all evils in his name.

Although the Emperor's Templars claims to have spawned the most successors in Astartes history, the exact number remains disputed.

Character Name: Titus Ironborn
Alias/Epithets: The Warden, The Hammer, The Stalwart, The Lord Commander of the Imperium, the Lord Regent
Appearance:
Image

Personality: Outwardly stoic, Titus is a logical and plain speaking person, never one for flattery. He possesses a sarcastic sense of humor that is hard to gauge even by those who know him. He is humble for a primarch.
Backstory: Titus, like most Primarchs, has a notable backstory or a soaring rise to power on the world he ended up calling home, of feats or arms and intelligence that is the stuff of legend, and like legend most of it is over-inflated.

He joined the Great Crusade upon reunification with his Father and creator, the Emperor, joining his siblings and the Imperium of Man in their glorious future. His record was much like his siblings, victory after victory, civilizations conquered, razed, or peacefully brought into the fold. Unlike his siblings, he also suffered a terrible defeat, so bad as to cripple his legion and earn him a censure from the Emperor. While there had been little he could have done to change the outcome of that terrible campaign, failure of such magnitude was simply unacceptable in the eyes of the Emperor, and though it clearly pained him to do so, Titus was to be made an example of.

Titus, and the Imperial Wardens, took their Censure to heart, never complaining as they were relegated to rear-line work, cleaning up after other Legions had moved on, rebuilding worlds, and other menial tasks. They were builders, engineers, and logisticians after all, and they built a great many wonderful works.

This relegation and censure would ironically see the Imperial Wardens being in a strong position once the Heresy began. The only mostly unaffected Legion, the Wardens and Titus were the front line of the Imperiums defense over the many years of the Heresy, suffering terrible losses but also inflicting them.

At the Battle of Terra, Titus would defend the Palace viciously, he and his forces never ceding an inch of ground so long as they lived. At the end, as their Father was striked, he would carry the Emperor, along with Vasilisa, to the Golden Throne, earning his redemption there at the end.

After the Heresy, Titus and the Wardens set about rebuilding the Imperium, as well as hunting down the traitors during The Scouring. He would assist Akritus write the Codex, mostly offering his own thoughts on his brother's project, and would help to sway a few Legions over to accepting it.

Near the end of the Scouring, he would join battle with one of his fallen siblings, becoming grievously injured as a result. He would be taken to Voln, and put into stasis to avoid death. There he sat for thousands of years, some said slowly dying, some said slowly healing. He would be awoken near the end of M.41, a miracle some would say, though the truth of the matter was that the Eldar were involved in some fashion, the details have remained unexplained for any who were not there.

Upon his awakening he made his way to Terra to confer with the Emperor. None know what was said, but Titus was appointed as Lord Commander of the Imperium of Man directly by the Emperor.

At once he set about stabilizing the Imperium, shoring up its defenses, reinforcing its armies, directing its war efforts, and calling for a massive military campaign to reconquer many lost worlds and systems, which would come to be names the Indomitus Crusade.

After several years, the Crusade would conclude with a general Imperial victory, though even now the situation is precarious on many fronts. Beyond the military fronts, Titus has tried to push through some reforms across the Imperium, seeking to make it more efficient, and a slightly better place to live for his trillions of inhabitants, but he has not sought to radically change it, knowing that such a course would cause great discourse, and perhaps weaken the Imperium further than it already is.

War Gear:
Ork Bane: A massive thunder-hammer crafted by Titus' own hands

The Emperors Sword: Gifted to Titus upon being declared the Lord Commander of the Imperium

Master Crafted Artificer Power Armor

Astartes/CSM
Chapter Name: The Imperial Wardens
Loyalist/Traitor/Renegade: Loyalist
Chapter Sigil/Symbol: A shield with a sword and war-hammer crossed, in dark red and off-white colors
Other Heraldry:
Homeworld(s)/Home Ship(s) if fleet based: Voln, also the mobile battle-station, The Bulwark (The Phalanx)
Chapter Fleet Forces: The Bulwark
1 Apocalypse class Battleship
1 Retribution class Battleships
2 Battle Barges
4 Dominator class Cruisers
10 Lunar class Cruisers
3 Tyrant class Cruisers
5 Strike Cruisers
Dozens of Escort class ships and support ships

Chapter Manpower: 1,000 Astartes
Chapter Organization: The Chapter follows its own version of the Codex, which mostly follows the organizational structure of the Codex itself, but is far less rigid. It also includes several secret changes, such as the Black Wall Protocol, which when used would bind all Imperial Warden successor chapters under a supreme commander, in the event of great need. This was used once during the War of the Beast.

Chapter History: After the Heresy and the Scouring, the Imperial Wardens remained one of the premiere formations of Astartes in the Imperium. They broke their legion down into a multitude of Chapters, following the Codex Astartes. They would help establish Imperial control on hundreds of worlds, rebuilding sectors as needed, and generally setting about their new task of defending the Imperium, rather than expanding it.

The Imperial Wardens themselves would establish a small dominion, with approval, around their home world of Voln, ensuring there was always a bulwark for them to call upon in need, along with their successor Chapters.

During the War of the Beast, the Black Wall Protocol was initiated, bringing together a force unseen since the Scouring. This was essential in fighting back the Orks and eventually winning the war. Many fears were alleviated as after the war the Protocol was rescinded, rather than there being an attempted overthrow of the High Lords, as many feared.

The Imperial Wardens would continue to serve impeccably, remaining one of the premiere Chapters for the long millennia, the only mark against them being their ancient Censure and the rumors of occasional cooperation with an Eldar Corsair, though these remain rumors to all those but the Wardens and their closest allies.

Character Name: Coracus Isserec

Alias/Epithets: The Desert Jester, Father Of Sands, The Laughing Conqueror

Appearance:
Pre-Heresy.
Post-Heresy

Personality: Before and after the Heresy, Coracus is largely the same. A jovial, joking man. Only now his jabs and japes are mean-spirited and cruel, often the punctuation after a good slaughter.

Backstory:
Whisked away by the forces of Chaos, the future Primarch of the 13th Legion was dumped on the out-of-the-way planet of Necro Solus. A world with two suns, 22 hours days and almost entirely covered in a brutal, unforgiving desert and mountains. Life on Necro Solus, like many death worlds, could be short and end brutally. If not killed in the fighting over the planet's few sources of water, then by the hellish creatures who evolved to call such a planet their home.

Coracus was a wild child during his early years. Surviving off the easier to prey on creatures of the planet like insects and the less poisonous snakes and desert rodents who populated the cave systems he slept in during the cold nights. But eventually, the youngster wandered from the isolated cave he called home, coming upon a passing caravan using the mountain pass as relatively safe travel to their next destination.

Young Coracus had never seen other people before, and his curiosity got the better of him. Sneaking down to the caravan during the night, he found his way into their food stores and decided to help himself to their food and water. Stealing of such a nature on Necro Solus was a transgression usually met with instant death as such resources were few and far between. And when the caravan guards found a filthy child poking at their supplies, he was hauled out and brought before their leader, a man named Paradine Isserec. But he could see the boy was no brazen thief. Just an ignorant wildling who was looking for food. Always a softhearted type, Paradine allowed the boy to leave with just enough supplies to survive the night and warned him to not attempt such thievery again, as even Paradine was not so merciful to forgive it a second time. Coracus took off into the night with his reward. But like a stray cat fed by a stranger, he knew there was food there. So he left his cave and followed the caravan.

Over the next few days, he trailed the clan...not very well, as he wasn't the most stealthy of urchins. Paradine let him be, as the amusing lad was a welcome respite from their normally bleak and brutal days. Such a choice would save all their lives when a beast known as a Moisture Sucker attacked the caravan. Seeing his meal ticket attacked, the boy leaped in from seemingly nowhere with a sharp rock and stabbed the beast in one of its 4 eyes. Rallied by his bravery, clan Isserec slew the Moisture Sucker together with him. Earning a bounty of meat and the drained water the creature kept inside its body. Clearly this wildling had promise. Paradine adopted the boy into the clan then and there, dubbing him Coracus, a Necro Solian term meaning 'Brave one'. Paradine taught the boy as they traveled, teaching him how to speak and fight. Over the next several years, the scraggly urchin grew into a lean but powerful lad, tempered by the sands into a fearsome protector for his tiny but prosperous clan. But the good times were soon to end. For even on Necro Solus, there were those who trampled on those smaller than themselves.

The largest body of water on Necro Solus, known as the Savior Sea (Even though it was just a particularly large lake) was hoarded by the vicious Clan Maraston. A clan which was little more than a collection of bandits and thieves who had constructed the outpost known as Maraston City around the lake. Even with the biggest source of water their's and their's alone, they continued brutalizing other outposts and clans. Come one fateful day, they happened upon Clan Isserec. Coracus fought them off easily of course. But in his overconfidence, he made a lapse. One of the bandits, an archer, was only wounded. And his last arrow found its target in Paradine's heart. The man he'd known as a father was struck down before him. Howling with fury, he reduced the archer to a red smear on the sands before his dying father called out to him. With his final words, he told his adopted son to lead Clan Isserec. Keep them safe and happy. And never lose the sense of humor that made him who he was. Coracus took his words to heart. There was a surefire way to keep them safe.

Over the next several years, whispers and rumors of a mighty warrior gathering an army drifted among the sands. Well, they weren't rumors. Coracus arrived on the steps of Maraston City 10 years after his father's murder, every clan of Necro Solus gathered at his back. Maraston City was taken within the night. And their leader was flayed alive by Coracus himself in front of his vanquished collection of thugs. Maraston City was renamed Paradine Prime, and Coracus was unanimously elected leader of this new singular and global clan. Coracus was perfectly content to watch over and guide the now relatively stable Necro Solus. But he had a destiny beyond the bounds of his adopted homeworld.

That destiny arrived when a stranger, adorned in golden armor, came to Paradine Prime and asked to meet their leader. Assuming it was an upstart bandit looking for a fight, Coracus met his biological father by strolling up, kicking sand at his feet and pointing his weapon at his throat. Of course, within a few seconds, Coracus very quickly realized this was no bandit. He'd leveled his blade at his father, The Emperor of Mankind. One very hearty apology later, and Coracus was informed of his origins. Feeling he'd done all he could for Necro Solus, Coracus accepted the offer of his father and proudly accepted his role as Primarch of the 13th Legion.

Coracus was tired. To be a smiling, hopeful man in a galaxy spanning war without end had long begun to wear him down mentally. Once, he was king of an entire planet. Having fought with sticks and rocks for control of Necro Solus. He often found his mind wandering back to the brief time he ruled, happily lounging and watching over his grateful citizens. Now? He was a cog in the Imperium machine, just another tool for his preening father to order here and there. He simply wanted this war to end and to return to his home to relax. Such a mindset made him easy pickings for the Prince Of Pleasure. It only took one Astartes warrior to lure him to the side of Chaos. His trusted second-in-command, Tarax Gadriel. For years, Gadriel had been luring members of the Blades Of Solus to Chaos veneration. Coracus' fall came when Gadriel presented him with an odd blade found during a raid on a heretical rebel sector. When Coracus took the blade, he heard the first sweet whispers of Slaanesh. Promising and cooing to him how if he simply followed the will of She Who Thirsts, the war would end that much quicker and Coracus could return to where he was king. No, not king. God of all he surveyed. He liked the sound of that. He liked it a lot.

By the time of Istvaan, Coracus was well and truly a servant of Slaanesh. When the Blade Of Solus arrived, his normally warm smile was now a horrifying rictus grin. The taint of corruption beginning to twist his body as it had been twisting his mind for years. The Blade were a terror during the massacre. Their penchant for up close waves of blade and claw slaughtering scores of loyalist soldiers and Astartes. Much to his annoyance, Coracus missed out on the Siege Of Terra. Too busy terrorizing outlying sectors and planets, his Legion arrived to Terra when the battle was already lost. They retreated almost as quickly as they arrived, earning Coracus the mocking nickname of "The Late Coracus Isserec" among his fellow traitor Primarchs.

Coracus retreated into the Eye like most of the vanquished traitors did. At present, he rules over the pleasure planet of Coracus Alpha. Where the now Deamon Primarch spends his days indulging in all the sick and twisted pleasures a follower of Slaanesh is known to enjoy. He rarely ventures off world, only leaving his endless hedonistic days if something truly interesting grabs his attention.

War Gear:
The Claws of Ecstasy: A Chaos tainted set of Lighting Claws, soaked in a chemical concoction that supercharges one nerves. Making even a tiny cut on the cheek feel like the unlucky victim is having the skin peeled from their face.

Slaanesh's Whisper: The corrupted blade that drove Coracus to Chaos. An blade sharp enough to slice through even Astartes armor like it was made of cloth.

Astartes/CSM
Chapter Name: The Blades of Solus
Loyalist/Traitor/Renegade: Tratior
Chapter Sigil/Symbol: The Twin Suns of Solus.
Homeworld(s)/Home Ship(s) if fleet based: Formerly Necro Solus, presently Coracus Alpha.
Chapter Fleet Forces:
Desert Scimitar: Battleship and personal flagship.
6 battle barges, 70 heavy cruisers, and 400 odd escort ships
Chapter Manpower: 8100
Chapter Organization: Very little. The Blades are little more than wandering bands of marauders at present, only unfying together when Coracus orders them to. Otherwise, they are loose contingents of usually 200 or so Marines.
Chapter History: Formerly the Terra Sabers, the rechristened Blades Of Solus and their Primarch didn't get off to a great start. Many were already displeased that the legion name, which had the rare honor of bearing Holy Terra's name, was changed to honor a remote sandpit in a backwater system. When one Astarte voiced this complaint, Coracus laughed and invited a challenge: If any Marine could defeat Coracus in a fight, he'd leave the name intact. What followed was a 4-day long brawl between him and his new Legion. Single challengers and entire groups proving incapable of felling this laughing man from some desert world. The closest any of them came was an Astarte who landed a slash across his other cheek. The Legion realized there was no beating this formidable fool, and bent knee to their Primarch. Over the next few years and numerous battles, The Blade of Solus were reshaped from a fairly standard Legion into a brutal wave of blade and claw, their arrival heeding a brutal end for the enemies of mankind.

Now, they are a menace to the galaxy. A Slaanesh fueled group of bandits and murderers, the tactics that once made them valued to mankind now used to rend innocents and their protectors to ribbons.

Patron God: Slaanesh
Daemonic Powers: Astounding speed and agility.
Domain in the Warp: Coracus Alpha.
Primary servants: The usual contingent of Slaanesh daemons. Daemonettes, Fiends of Slaanesh, Seekers of Slaanesh and the occasional Keeper Of Secrets.

Character Name: Cheops Ahmose (kee-ahps ah-mow-say)
Alias/Epithets: The Pha'raat, The Hawk of the Sands, Avatar of Ra, The Sword of Tzeentch
Appearance:
Image

Personality: Cheops was once a kind, is prideful man. His intelligence led to an air of narcissism, often making backhanded comments that would insult the intelligence of almost anyone he spoke to. But in the wake of his transformation into a Daemon Primarch, his pride and over indulgence into his intelligence has only deepened. His kindness has soured into a petty and bitter paternalism. He speaks as though he is burdened to speak with people, as non of them provide intellectually stimulating conversation worthy of his time. Yet he loves to hear himself talk that he converses regardless.
Backstory: Pre-Heresy
Cheops, when separated from his kin by the ruinous powers, landed on a world named TaMere. A world coated in over 80% desert, with significant artificial oasis cities scattered across the surface. The planet's cities are hive like, though not nearly as expansive, where the vast majority of the population works deep underground, mining ground water for the opulent surface spires. Cheops came into the care of the planets leader, their Pha'raat Khonshua III, being raised as his adoptive child. He was given a great education, and had access to much of the knowledge the galaxy could offer a young inquisitive boy. Knowledge that would be invaluable to him when the Pha'raat Died and Cheops stepped forth to take his place. Although, his younger adoptive sibling Nonsa staked a claim on the crown as well. Being Khonshua's eldest son by blood, he and many others believed he should be the rightful heir. The resulting Civil war destroyed much of TaMere, resulting in the ascension Cheops I to the throne. Though, it was somewhat short lived, as soon after Expeditionary forces of the Emperor's arrived at TaMere. The Emperor himself arrived soon after, reclaiming the Primarch he lost in Cheops. Making him the Primarch of the 20th legion.

His time during the Great Crusade was filled with bringing Human colonies and planets into compliance within the Imperium of Man. But his own purposes for doing this often overrode the ones imposed upon him by the Emperor. Cheops adores knowledge. The history of Humanity and the galaxy being his chief interest. Something he would bond with his fellow Primarch Clausewitz over. He would prioritize the collection of books, knowledge, and relics above destroying those that oppose the Imperium. And yet, he never left a campaign unfinished. Although this came at an eventually grand cost.

Heresy
Cheops was scantly involved in the wider civil war that occurred between the Imperium and the legions corrupted by the forces of chaos. He had instead become obsessed with preservation of the knowledge and relics he had procured during the great crusade. An obsession that let to his own corruption at the hands of the Architect of Fate, Tzeentch. He was preyed upon, and was promised the power to keep all knowledge of humanity protected forever. But as with all things involving the Great Deceiver, this was a untruth. He was reforged in the fires of eternity, not as a defender of history but instead as an avatar of Tzeentch's power to act within the void. A Daemon Prince who would go on to spread falsehoods of Humanities history. As Tzeentches promise to him that he would defend history was warped into him having the compulsion to destroy every trace of it. So that it cannot be warped by false interpretations of the past by people of the future.

Post Heresy
Cheops now acts in favor of what he refers to rather simple as "The final shape." Life, thought, memories, power, history, to him these are all factors of existence that do nothing but corrupt the truth and shroud it in illusions birthed from perception. Elimination of these things will hone perception until one the one truth can remain. And thus, the universe for take it's final shape. That which is immutable and true, free of distortion, perception, and obfuscation. He has destroyed worlds in his wake, starting with hostile alien worlds. But now as time progresses he is beginning to take aim at Imperial worlds as well.

War Gear:

Sword of Set
An Adamantium blade with a unique serrated pattern where the teeth are forged in the shape of flames. After his ascension to Daemon Primarch, Tzeentch bestowed upon him the power to heat the sword to temperatures of cataclysmic degrees. Leaving irradiated scorch marks wherever the blade slices through.

Harbinger's wings
Massive pitch black wings, granted to him by Tzeentch that allow for drastically increased movement speeds as well as atmospheric flight. The feather tips are sharp as a power sword.

Cannon of Finality
A powerful plasma cannon, etched with Tzeentchian runes imbuing it with immense power and warp energy. Making the already potent plasma bolts even more destructively powerful.

Helm of cleansing flame
Cheops' helm emits a continuous aura of solar flame, powered by tzeentchian energy, protecting him from having any will imposed upon him that does not come from his godly master himself.

Astartes/CSM
Chapter Name: The Obsidian Medjay
Loyalist/Traitor/Renegade: Traitor
Affiliation if Traitor/Renegade: Tzeentch
Chapter Sigil/Symbol: A black image of Horus emiting blue lightening on a deep yellow standard.
Other Heraldry: Blue feathers on shoulders and hips, Obsidian gems inlaid on the helms of most astartes.
Homeworld(s)/Home Ship(s) if fleet based: TaMere
Chapter Fleet Forces:
Battle Barge - Eternatus
Battle Barge - Isis
Battle Barge - Horus
Battle Barge - Anubis
Strike Cruiser - Set
Strike Cruiser - Amun
Strike Cruiser - Kek
Strike Cruiser - Nepthys
Strike Cruiser - Hathor
Chapter Manpower: 850 marines
Chapter Organization: The chapter has strict configuration based around four battalions, each led by Daemon Possessed astartes.
Chapter History: Created during the first founding, this Chapter was one held closest to Cheops himself during the time of the great crusade. And it was because of this that they too were corrupted by Tzeentch's influence at the same time as their primarch. In fact, they are the only chapter of the Twentieth legion to succumb to the temptations of the ruinous powers.

Patron God: Tzeentch
Daemonic Powers: Super heating his sword to immense temperatures while keeping it stable and solid. Winged flight and immense speed. Nearly immune to flame and heat. Protected against most psychic attacks on his mind.
Primary servants: Heralds, screamer, Horrors, and Flamers, all granted to Cheops' control by Tzeentch.
