Whilst General Assembly Resolution #2, "Rights and Duties of WA States", served its purpose in the early days of the World Assembly, making order out of the cooling remains of that colossal fireball that wiped out our predecessor organisation,
The Assembly of Worlds now, however,
Recognizes that this esteemed resolution has now become a hindrance to the further domination of all member states' petty affairs,
Regrets that the target resolution's lack of creative inspiration was not noticed upon its initial passage, and has since served as a permanent stain upon the otherwise completely perfect and blemishless record of this Assembly,
Argues that the original context of the resolution in question has been lost to time, and the world the Assembly now finds itself in is very different from that which GAR#2 sought to tame,
Takes Particular Grievance with the rather absurd definition of war, which blatantly disregards all plain understanding of actual armed conflict, and which stands among many other textual flaws the members of this Assembly can no doubt find for themselves,
Enumerates, nevertheless, just a small handful of these flaws, including but not limited to:
- The annoyingly repeated use of the compound word "NationState", instead of any number of perfectly acceptable alternatives like "nation-state" or "member nations", which besides looking quite terrible, also invites ambiguity as to whether the resolution is addressing only the World Assembly or any nations at all,
- The extraneous use of the symbol §, which, owing to the use of numbered Articles throughout the resolution, serves absolutely no purpose other than to make the resolution look grander than it actually is, and
- The lack of definition of any terms which could possibly be misconstrued by signatory nations, which has led to years of incessant arguing among the delegations of member states,
And Therefore,
