"You don't want to waste the better stuff on something like an old Mig-17 or a Lim-6 jet so what do you do? send in the same jets to counter them or use older Anti-Air systems"
The Internal government body has been brewing real hot lately with various disagreements and arguments about how Oceania should be run these range from one group wanting to cease support and aid to KTO and members and going into isolation and focusing on the homefront and the economy while a second group wanted to keep things the way they are as why fix something that isn't broken this evolved into both groups arming themselves and taking up position in various important and strategic places this includes but not limited to a fuel depot in Papa New guinea which supplies a good amount of fuel and other supplies to units performing operations in the Pacific, a radio communication center, TAC-COM bases and so on with these in hands the 2 groups have an advantage over one depending on the theatre of war.
"Every corner you turn there is a guy that looks like you and is equipped with the same weapons just like you and you only have seconds to determine if he is hostile or not"
now you might be thinking "fighting broke out quickly" well no it didn't as both sides had to gather military-grade weaponry and convince their troops that they were fighting against an opponet what they consider traitors to Oceania so this took quite some time. The first to shoot was the New Party of Oceania their first battle taking place in District 78 an Urban district located in the American territories. the first to counter them were soldiers from the Homeland Guard who were loyal to the Old Party as of now fighting is still currently happening with some of it spreading outside to the countryside and forests.
"God damn it's hot here"
The fighting wasn't confined to the Urban city of District 78 in fact the New Party was spread out across every part of Oceania including South Africa this time The Old Party struck first however with sandy conditions, low humidity, and extreme cold and hot temperatures alongside a lack of obstacles provide problems to both sides. With proper uniform and helmet cover, any side can blend in with the surrounding areas. With the nature of warfare in this area, both sides take up positions in their TAC-COM bases these combat bases house airfields, barracks and etc, and were used for moving troops and supplies from one place to another or preparation of a campaign because sieges are most likely to happen on the bases both sides try to quickly capture essential cities to keep themselves supplied preparing a defense immediately as the moment they captured it.
Besides enemy combatants, there are also other threats that both sides face these range from the heat causing soldiers to suffer heat strokes, dehydration, and fatigue can quickly cause a bad day for anyone, and on top of that almost everyone wears tinted goggles or sunglasses due to glare can irritate the eyes and reduce visibility.
"It's wet, hot, full of malaria and other disease and we're walking in knee-high water filled with god knows what"
Again the New Party is spread all over Oceania soil and the pacific territories aren't safe either the fighting here is taking place in Papua New Guinea over here not only is the fighting brutal and intense as a result of trying to capture a very important and strategic fuel depot but also the condition are not great either being in the pacific theater both sides fall prey to killers such as local wildlife, Malaria, other jungle diseases, heavy rains that result in muddy conditions, heavy forests to the point where light tanks and tankettes can transverse the area and larger would have issues.
Rules
1. No godmodding, metagaming, and power gaming money word is law
2. All posts must be 2 paragraphs long (one for character dialogue) any one-liners are banned and will result in me giving out warnings
3. you may not bring anything over 10,000 troops
4. keep fighter jet assets to a minimum (for real no one uses 1,000 jets in a single battle)
5. keep blue navy assets to a minimum (except for transport) most of the fighting will be done inland I will allow Brown-water naval assets to be used
6. you will be given an option to choose which front to fight in and I expect to see you reacting and fighting in that environment and no conventional invasion on any Oceanian territory or surrounding areas so Remember and keep track of where you are fighting
7.No you can't put your ideology on my nation or influence the people to favor you both groups have the same ideology but fighting for different policies
8. Keep OOC in the OOC and be civil OOC
9. And be realistic you don't have super soldiers, your vehicles can't easily get across a swamp environment, and no one brings just 10k troops and no support of any kind along with just 4 ships and no other naval ships and/or aircraft
10. Don't bother making any demands if you haven't participated
11. No WMDs including chemical and biological weapons
Factions
These aren't the typical poorly trained and underequipped soldiers you'll see in either Africa or the Middle East both sides have access to high-quality small arms, armored fighting vehicles, and other military equipment and supplies including drugs such as amphetamine to keep them fighting for longer periods of time. Each side has veterans that had fought in the disputed zones and/or in a war with a different nation because of this both sides have to play it smart to achieve victory over one and another.
The Old Party
As its name suggests they are the original party who are loyal to the original policies that have been in place for quite some time why remove something that hasn't been causing any issue to the nation? This group considers themselves loyal members to the nation's and leader's interest and considers the New Party as nothing but traitors to the Oceanian cause
The New Party of Oceania
The newly formed party that split from the Old Party the members were sick and tired of how the country was being run and want the removal of certain policies examples are ceasing support for every and all KTO allies both militarily and economically, wanting the Nation to isolate itself from the world, and the disbandment of the OSDRT and let's say that last part got certain people angry

District 78:
type of fighting: Urban Warfare
an urban city where a good amount of fighting is taking place here, both sides fight each other in the streets and in the various buildings around them however they aren't limited to just above the ground for they have also been fighting below in the sewer tunnels also using to get around the city much quicker.
Because of various buildings being used by specialized troops any ground vehicle whether it being a tank, APC, or an IFV will need to be extremely careful as the fighters with Anti-Tank weapons prefer the higher levels and rooftops as they are out of reach of the vehicle's gun elevation. Snipers are more likely to be encountered as just like Anti-Tank soldiers they prefer the high levels and rooftops for the reason stated earlier.
besides snipers and dudes with rocket launchers, you got machine guns, field guns, old Assault guns, and dudes with flamethrowers waiting behind every corner to put someone in a bodybag and possibly make someone's kid fatherless or motherless while fighting in the snow.
Grey: City or in this case District 78
Black: Supply depot
Blue: Airfield
Green X: Forest and where fighting is also taking place
South Africa:
type of fighting: Desert Warfare
A hot and sandy area in Africa in this environment where both sides are holed up in TAC-COM bases only venturing out to try and quickly capture essential cities and depots to keep themselves supply because in this hot environment both sides are targetted by threats such as lack of obstacles, extreme hot and cold temperatures, heat strokes, dehydration, and fatigue along with the sun glare causing irritated eyes, and reducing visibility you also got water scarcity and attacks on supply lines
Now besides those "problems" since it is a desert there some Pros such as mobility since it's a flat terrain make it easier on vehicles traveling the area however because a lack of obstacles and the possibility of sand dunes they are still a target by the enemy, and also camouflage with the right uniform, gear and helmet cover you could practically blend in with the environment however they are still some issue with this if FLIR and thermal equipment are used especially at night.
Green dot: TAC-COM base under Old Party control
Orange: TAC-COM base under New Party control
Cyan: Cities
Cyan with Grey: Cities under New Party control
Black: Supply Depot
Papua New Guinea
type of fighting: Jungle warfare
literal hell anyone fighting here will have to deal with the local wildlife the list containing a bunch of animals that will want to kill you, Malaria, and other tropical diseases, the weather here is not so great heavy rains cause muddy conditions and will result in vehicles being bogged down and dry and hot weather can cause heat-related problems such as fatigue and dehydration. Besides weather, local wildlife, and diseases the jungle presents its own set of problems first one being a great area for booby traps and ambushes, and also they are not big enough to allow the more modern and larger tanks to pass through resulting in smaller light tanks being used on top of that some areas can only be transverse by foot here people are fighting both conventional and unconventional warfare all while the Old Party struggles to defend an important fuel depot.
Yellow: Strategic Fuel Depot
Black: Supply depot
Blue: Airfield
Pink: Areas fighting is being conducted
