True market value if you're the only owner of a card?

Postby Zouayne Shyce » Mon Aug 08, 2022 4:16 am

Hello,

the subject conveniently gives away already what I'm asking: Based on your experience, what would people pay for a card that exists only once in the game at the moment?

Kind regards,
ZS

Sounds like nothing for a unique card.

Even so, they are correct.

Depends on Season.

I'd pay up to around 10 bank for a single owner s1 card, but not more than 2-3 for a s2 card.

edit: it also depends on how many of the cards are actually in existence. If it's a single owner card but the person who owns it has multiple, that would drop the price.

Look at it this way.
If you are a collector of an entire GCR for example The Pacific, that's 7,839 cards across both seasons, many of them have only a few owners.
Now if the collector pays 5 bank for every low owner he has to collect to complete that collection, his collection is going to be hella expensive. Imagine having to pay 5 bank for each low owner card, let's say about 20% is a low owner that's hard to get, about 1560 cards or so. That would be 7800 bank, instead of a lot less bank of we follow the 1 bank divided by the amount of owners rule.
That's why many collectors of big collections just put lower bids on cards and are prepared to wait months or sometimes years for someone to match a lower bid. They don't need to hurry, but if you want to earn any bank in a short time on most low owners cards you're better off not pricing it too high.

There are of course always exceptions.

I´d say, 10 bank (or even more) for a single-owner-series-one-card is a fair price, because those are so much rarer than the occasional 'legendary (s 2), which pops up in hundreds and are the more or less as worthless as any other card, given the fact, that (Fauzia give-away lottery, for example) these are even gifted for free sometimes.
But most 'big farmers' are simply to stingy, imo, to pay good prices, even if they generate big ammounts of bank every day from their hundreds or even thousands of puppets and bid only meager sums for cards, regardless of their scarcity or (not inflated) MV.
What for, i have to ask, does one need hundreds or even thousands of bank, if one has no intention of spending it (not even for 'paying taxes', as the fee for expanding deck space could be seen, due to this goddamn loophole which allows every nation with overstocked card-space to further participate in the market) ?
