Bio:
Anna Biorkopoulina was born on her fathers estate in Níkaia, 2005; daughter of Arkoúda Biorkopoulos and Eleonóra Gianopoula, and born into a family who were a part of the Dynatoi; her father a Patrikios, serves as the Kephale of Nicaea, which he was allowed to inherit from his own father in 2004. The Biorkopoulos family had first emerged in the 12th century when Saxi Bjork had traveled along with the rest of the old Bjork clan to Rhomania to serve in the Varangian Guard. Saxi's efforts to take command of the Hetarai during the Battle of Beroia had allowed him to join the ranks of the Varangians, and the old Bjorks would cement themselves in their new homeland, eventually becoming the Biorkopoulos dynasty of the modern day.
The Biorkopoulos clan had a storied history throughout the ages, and would cement themselves into the Roman aristocracy in the 1260's under Torsted Biorkopoulos. Their family would be present for many future events in Roman history, such as Constantine's Anabasis against the Ottomans, or in the Civil War of the 1920's. The Biorkopoulos had shrunk from it's height of sixty to less than ten by the time of Torsted, but in the years following their numbers would flow up and down before steadily climbing under the Alexandrian Era (1850 - 1883). Initially based out of the Peloponnese, the family would extend all throughout the Empire, from Paphlagonia to Samos and even Constantinople; Anna's family having established themselves in Nicaea when her grandfather was elected and confirmed as the cities governor.
Her father had sought to maintain their families governorship and so would heavily involve himself in the bureaucracy, marrying and having children later than his peers, but it was well worth it as her father had shown himself capable and worthy enough to continue the families governorship in Nicaea. Anna has no interest in governing the land, and while she is open to joining the bureaucracy, her focus was more on getting a good education. Anna's high grades had allowed her to progress through her secondary education faster than her peers, entering university a year earlier than most, she would attend the University of Constantinople where she began pursuing an arts degree.
Very recently she started her testing for bureaucratic work, akin to an internship but with the government, it was necessary for everyone who attended to the University of Constantinople. It was here that she found herself selected and tested by the Parakoimomenos, and then made Helena's Mystikos and member of her akolouthía (retinue). Because she will be attending Helena on her visit to the Frozen Forest, what remains of her study load has been altered during the occasion. Anna is nervous about meeting King Ivan and the rest of the Bjork's, although they are separated by centuries she still considers them distant kin, and the stories she had heard of the current situation in the Frozen Forest concerns her dearly, either way she hopes to leave a good impression upon Ivan and not only aid Helena in her chances to win his heart, but link the two families together in a revived kinship.
What will you be bringing with you: She brought her essential's, like a toothbrush and self care stuff. She also is left in charge of things like maps, info packets, anything like that as her duty demands. She is also bringing with her a tablet which is mostly for any important work while she is visiting, as well as her schoolwork, but she also has a ton of anime and manga on it.
What gift will you be presenting to the King: She presents to King Ivan a sword used by Saxi "Black Flower" Bjork, founder of her branch of the family, during his time in the Varangian Guard, well preserved despite centuries between then and now. It is with her hope that this shall symbolically show that Ivan has the full support of his distant kin.
Lodging: Inn, alongside Helena.
Miscellaneous Information: Anna isn't here as a suitor... but I mean hey, whats a "few" centuries between kin right, and she turns 18 in a month soooo....
