As someone who is very passionate about horse racing, and even ran a competition here probably over 10 years ago now, I would love to see the sport take off here. There have been solid attempts, but it's never been a consistent feature. This is constructive criticism/advice.

You are missing some very key components to run a horse racing competition:
1) What is the age range of the races: is it for 2 year olds? 3 year olds? 3 year olds and up? Will there be different divisions for each age group?
2) Are the races "open" in terms of allowing fillies to run against colts or geldings, or will there be a separate division for fillies?
3) What is the distance of the races? Six furlongs? A Mile and an Eighth? (Or if you are not American, the distance in meters).
4) Are the races run on dirt or the turf?
5) What are the field sizes per race?

"Breed of the horse" makes no sense. That makes me think you want to know the horses sire and dam. If you just want the horse's name, just say "name of the horse".

Next, horse racing is not typically "a tournament held on XX day". A horse does not race multiple times in a day, or even in a week. A cheap claimer might run every 10 days, better horses run once every three weeks, or every month. ICly, then, you should say that the races are held over a longer period of time, even if you want to run it all in one day.

Finally, I would highly suggest that you find a better way to scorinate this. If you want to run it on September 1st, then you have two months to learn a better way to scorinate the races then just generating things randomly. With the way you have it, you will get some people throwing in information, but it will be a rather flat and uninspired competition. If you want some of the regulars on this forum to sign up, scorination must be better. Maybe I would even consider actually signing up. But, please consider scorinating better and providing much more detail in regards to the five questions asked above.

Hello. I have accepted your corrections. I'll try to bring it to perfection.
Such a question then: how would you determine the winner? By written text? How did the player describe his game? I would still vote for a random selection of the winner through a special site. In the leaderboard, I gave the numbers of the players from 001 to 100. By a randomly generated number, I could determine the winner. It may seem boring, but here I really see the luck and luck on the part of the runner's country.

Not a sign-up, maybe later, depending on further development of this.

For now I have some suggestions. They are based on my idea of "quality game". In my view, "quality game" includes a lot of roleplaying.

First, the information you ask is quite confuse. I must imply that you don't understand horse racing that well. It's okay, I don't know that much either. But it would be better to understand a bit more, to make something really believable.

But if you want this competition to be successful and people to come and write, you need to give us something for it. Those interested in Horse Racing have much more to say than merely the name of the horse. You need to make this event seem as realistic as possible.

I would start by broadening the range of information requested. When it comes to horse racing, at least to me, it seems that the focus is more on the horses (and their owners, usually an elite of the rich and noble, who are responsible for funding the entire spectacle) than on the jockeys. And thinking further, in an event like this, full of nobles and important people from their countries, I would think of the idea as something similar to the Royal Ascot races, making it something more elegance-oriented.

With that in mind, I would take the focus off the jockeys. Sure, you can't write in first person as a horse (unless he's a sentient pony, but that's another universe), however there are plenty of possibilities when it comes to talking about the humans and the structure around thoroughbred racing. So I would ask questions like How old is your horse? Who does the horse belong to? Is the horse's owner a nobleman or woman? Who are the Sire and Dam? Where was the horse trained? How long has the jockey been racing the horse? Things like this help to set up a background, which can be useful for players to start roleplaying about.

Other really useful set of information would be about the venue. Where it is? Is it flat or obstacles? Dirt or Turf? If it's an event like Royal Ascot, does it have a mandatory dresscode? What is the structure like that will host stables from 100 nations? There's a lot to consider for an owner to send its horses for an event like that.

About the simulation and the presentation of results, I'd really point you to set some way to generate more complex results than merely saying who wins or loses. It's functional, indeed, but it's not how it works here in NS Sports. If you are not able to follow what is done here, the way is to settle for low participation, at least from the most frequent users around here.
