GENA-KTO Trade Summit (Founders/Invite Only) IC

OOC: This thread is only between the players of Southeast Marajarbia, Janpia, Islamic Holy Sites, The Military State of the Galapagos, and anyone who has been invited by the OP and/or co-OP. Janpia is the co-OP.

IC: After a series of closed door negotiations through diplomatic backchannels, the leadership of two of the most powerful and most modern alliances, the Global Entente of Nations and Alliances and the Kalisight Treaty Organization, have agreed to hold bilateral trade talks in an attempt to open up trade with one another. There are at least 4 founders, with 2 out of 3 GENA founders attending as well. It is expected that a trade agreement or two will be signed or considered between at least two of the present founders from either alliance.

1) These are trade talks, so please do not take the thread off topic.

2) This is a founders/invite only thread, so unless one of the OPs invited you, any unwelcome posts may be voided.

3) No insults and no fights are welcome in this thread. No one wants a trade summit to ever go off the rails when it is a summit of importance.

4) Have fun! That's what everybody is here to do to begin with, after all.

Like every member of the Janpian Diplomatic Corps, he is wearing a suit, a red tie, and a badge with the Janpian symbol. As accustomed, he takes a deep bow before the doors, before entering. He takes a seat on to his designated place

"Now that everyone is here, we should begin. Now, the Marajarbian Government wishes to sign a trade agreement between the Marajarbian Federation as well as the nation that is Janpia. With this trade deal, we will give agriculture and industrial goods in exchange for weapons. Not powerful weapons, but weapons which have been manufactured on Janpian soil. The Marajarbian Construction and Shipping Group, one of the Federation's largest companies with a widespread international influence would also like to set up shop in Kalingrad."

Rep. Korin:"There are a huge variety of weapons being manufactured in Janpia, from tanks, guns, armored vehicles, and even ships. But of course, we need the specifics. The ultimate decision to allow such exports relies on to the Worker's Union who are producing it themselves. As for the Marajarbian Construction and Shipping Group, I believe it would be a bit impossible to set up a shop in Kalingrad, for one, we are a socialist state owned by the Workers and Kolshaks."

We can give them docking and trading rights for their cargo ships on Darlinburg Harbor, Port of Agribov, or Maricha City, if cargo and trade is part of their scope of work. As for the Marajarbian trading demands, what else?"

“Well, the MCSG is simply dedicated to creating trade routes, and helping facilitate trade between Marajarbia and many other nations, no matter the political or economic ideology. As for Marajarbian demands, we would also like to sign a similar agreement with the Galapagos, but instead of getting weapons, we would give a variety of agricultural and industrial products in exchange for products such as clothing, or crops which do not grow in Marajarbian soil.”

While having the Marajarbian Federation as a trade partner might encourage cooperation with GENA nations and perhaps ease the current tension between the GENA and the KTO, President Grinberryall still stated it will not be accepted due to Marajarbia's long-existed hostility to the Aquaria, and being a disturbance of several human right organisations, for example, the United Liberation Organisation, the Advocates For Abolition And Against Slavery, and the recently-swallowed International Humanitarian Coalition. We refuse to cooperate with nations tending to become imperialist and Nazi.

"Well that's certainly a little concerning. If the Aquarians can trade with the close Marajarbian ally that is Muqaddasia, and truly believe that the Marajarbian Government is hostile to them for no legitimate reason, I don't see why they do not wish to open up trade, especially with the acknowledgment of the good it would do in that letter of theirs."

“That is fairly concerning due to the recent unstable peace that we have signed. We must ask that they dock in the falklands for inspection before being permitted to enter mainland Galapagosian ports. We have done a similar tactic before and we won’t be fooled just in case you try to pull it on us.”
