About Envoy
Envoy is a large international container shipping company headquarterd in Glendoorn, Varavel. Envoy, originally named Dufort Shipping Lines was founded in 1931 by Manuel Dufort. Mr. Dufort had already made a name for himself in the railway shipping industry due to his involvement with Varavelan military efforts in the western provinces of Waldental and Appingdaal in the late 1910s and early 1920s. By 1931, Mr. Dufort considered the possibilities of going into the liner trade business due to the growing need for faster and more reliable sea shipping options. He could forsee that liner trade was quickly becoming the way of the future for sea-shipping and he capitalized on the opportunity. By 1950, Dufort Shipping Lines were transporting 63.6% of containers in and out of Varavel. The company absorbed its biggest competition, Southrey Shipping in 1957 and became Southey-Dufort Shipping lines. The company continued to thrive over the next few decades cementing its reputation as the primary commercial name in Varavelan global trade. Following Mr. Dufort's death in 1974, Gabriel Dufort, took control of the company and continued to acquire smaller competitors throughout the 1980s. In 1993, VaraCorp, Varavel's largest holding company purchased 51% of Southrey-Dufort Shipping Lines shares from the Dufort family for approximately 500,000,000 NSD. The company was then renamed Envoy after the sale and has remained so ever since. The company operates 70 vessels, between owned and chartered. The fleet includes 65 container ships and 5 bunker barges.

Here you can access Envoy's applications. Use the below forms for assistance. Well written correspondence with the information from the form included are welcomed. There are two applications. The first is a port application. Envoy is always looking to grow its number of port calls and expand its footprint across the globe. If your country is interested in having Envoy cargo ships in your ports, please complete the below form with all attached information. The second application is to become a Flag State for a Tradava container ship (or a few). Your nation must have a port application filed in order to become a Flag State for a ship. You may fill out the required information below and select no more than 5 container ships from the list below. (OOC: If a Flag State CTE, that ship will become available on the list to be claimed by another country).

OOC Information/Rules
1. Everything in this thread should be IC unless it is necessary. Telegrams are encouraged for any OOC discussion on anything. If you have any questions, TGs are the way to go but I will not discourage honest questions here - IC or OOC if they are necessary.
2. Applications are to be filled out with the needed information. No one-line requests please.
3. No trolling or uncalled for OOC posting.

The largest port in Europe has a TEU of 14.35 million while the largest in the U.S. is 9.2 million TEU. Feel free to take a look at my factbook here: https://www.nationstates.net/nation=var ... id=1726757 as another tool.
5. As the creator of this thread, I reserve the right to deny an application for any reason at all.
6. Be patient. I will respond to applications as quickly as I can, but also work a very demanding job and won't be glued to this thread all day.
