Ivan was born on March 3rd, 1990 in The Royal Palace within the capital city of Truvaria. He is thirty one years old and heterosexual, though unmarried. He is the firstborn son of King Alvor Bjork and Queen Charlotte Bjork and is the reigning King of The Frozen Forest. His pedigree is extensive and can be traced back almost seven hundred years, following every King from the founding of the Kingdom to the current day. He is the older brother to Prince Ari and Queen Freja Krueger of Camelone. He is the uncle of Prince Ludwig and Princess Ailish of Camelone.
King Ivan is a practicing Forestrian Catholic and is a military veteran, having served in The Frozen Forestrian Navy and Army between the years of 2007 and 2012. He is an egalitarianist and believes that both males and females should have equal opportunity in The Frozen Forest and abroad to do well in their jobs. Additionally he is a Monarchist and believes in the concept of the Divine Right of Kings. He has been a strong enemy of The Frozen Forestrian Communist Party since the age of eight and has supported various pro-military and pro-monarchist policies since taking power. King Ivan has recently purged his Royal Guard on account of corruption and incompetence.
When he was younger he was involved in horseback riding, dueling and mountain climbing. He has competed in two horse races unofficially and did well in both. He has been fencing from a young age and is a protege of the late Bernoli Carzett, one of the most talented duelists in The Frozen Forest. Fencing has proven a stable hobby even with his duties as King keeping him busy.
King Ivan's younger brother Crown Prince Ari is a notable figure in The Frozen Forest. On account of Ivan's inability thus far to find a bride, Crown Prince Ari has exploited the situation in order to build political backing for himself as a claimant. King Ivan and Crown Prince Ari are engaged in a power struggle where neither side has managed to gain a foothold.

Norotunga Valley
Once upon a time there were two mice whose burrows stood across from one another. Every day the first mouse would wake up, collect his seeds and return home. Every night he would peer out of his burrow to the burrow across the way, hoping that the other mouse would come to see him. He thought to himself "I'm such a smart mouse, I would be a perfect husband so why doesn't she come to see me?"
The second mouse would wake up every evening and go out to collect her seeds before returning home. Every night she would peer out of her burrow to the burrow across the way, hoping that the other mouse would come to see her. She thought to herself "I'm such a pretty mouse, I would be a perfect wife so why doesn't he come to see me?" This went on for quite some time until one day the second mouse went a little too far from the burrow. She was lost until she found her way to the top of the mountain and realized that she had come so far. She looked up at the sky and across raced a star as bright as the day. The second mouse squeaked so loud that the first mouse heard the second. The first mouse was alarmed and so jolted out of his burrow and up the mountain as fast as he could go.
When he reached the top he saw the second mouse looking up and so looked up himself. "Wow, it's as bright as the sun" said the first mouse. "It's as bright as you are witty" said the second mouse absentmindedly before realizing what she had done. Embarrassed the second mouse pipped in "It's very pretty though!" The first mouse was surprised to hear that the second thought he was witty and twitched his whisker. The first mouse took a breath and summoned his courage "It's only half as pretty as you are" said the first mouse. The second mouse twitched her tail and looked at the first mouse surprised. "It's awfully cold, won't you join me?" And the first mouse did join her and together they watched the shining star in the sky.

The Norotunga Valley is located in the far north of The Frozen Forest in a region known as "The Northern Territories" or "The North." It was first inhabited by the local scraelings who worshiped a deity of beauty and fertility known as Minowis. These scraelings known as "Minowati" lived a life of hunting, gathering and reindeer herding which sustained them in the valley. Protected on all sides and with only a few known entrances into the sheltered land, the first Forestrian Norse did not enter the Norotunga Valley until 1380 and did not establish any permanent villages until 1470. The Forestrian-Minowati War drove the majority of the Minowati into the far eastern section of the valley where they remain to this day, separated from the Forestrian Norse by a frozen river. This area of land is known as the Minowati Reservation and is off-limits to non-authorized visitors.
The Norotunga Valley's climate is generally classified as subarctic with temperatures at the highest elevations reaching as low as -50°Fahrenheit. As one descends the mountain peaks temperatures grow gradually warmer and at the lowest point reach 75-80° Fahrenheit. The Norotunga Valley is notable for being completely surrounded by high, unclimable mountains that insulate the valley from the rest of the outside world. Snow is abundant and light snowstorms are common. There are several large forests within the valley which are made up of different varieties of trees. Beneath the Norotunga Valley is an expansive cave system only recently discovered by Frozen Forestrian cave divers.
The local fauna of the Norotunga Valley consists of many species which are believed to have entered the valley at a time when some mountain passes were not closed by snowfall. These species include Forestrian Reindeer, Forestrian Whitetail Deer, Minowati Snow Hare, Forestrian Moose, Forestrian Polar Bears, Forestrian Brown Bears, Arctic lemmings, Arctic shrews, Forestrian Arctic Camels, Forestrian Arctic Snow Lions and more.
The Norotunga Valley is regarded as one of the most romantic locations in The Frozen Forest on account of it's hospitable population, relatively non-severe but beautiful snowstorms, pristine nature, isolation from the outside world and traditions and legends dating back centuries. Three prior Kings fell in love while visiting the Norotunga Valley and so it has earned the nickname "The Valley of Roses" despite the lack of roses present in the valley.
