Abortion in Mervay has been legal since 1971 and was also followed by an comprehensive and through sex education curriculum for students and campaigns were the use of anticonceptives, condoms and other tools to evade an unwanted pregnancy and STD's. Giving birth to a life and continuing the pregnancy is a choice as much as making an abortion due to the same fear of death should something happen and is discovered in the early stages of the pregnancy.

As most of us around the world are aware, three days ago the Supreme Court of the United States issued a legal decision (Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization), stating that abortion isn't a fundamental right under law, and that individual states can criminalize it as they see fit. This rolls back a decision (Roe v. Wade) made in 1973, which guaranteed on a national level the sacred and inviolable right to bodily autonomy and self-determination for all Americans—not only half of them. As such, this is truly a dark day in history, not just for women and girls in the United States, but for all of humankind, who once hailed America as a shining beacon of liberty and enlightenment.

On behalf of His Imperial Majesty the Emperor, Her Imperial Majesty the Princess-Consort, and Her Imperial Highness the Princess of Asturias, we condemn this edict to the fullest extent, and urge the wayward Court to retract its reckless and irresponsible decision—one that will endanger the lives and health of countless Americans, just as the failed policies of the Prohibition and War on Drugs have done, by criminalizing safe and easy access to treatment, incentivizing unregulated black markets and organized crime, and misusing law-enforcement resources on a matter that's best addressed by the medical rather than legal system.

Despite what the Court claims, this decision has little to do with the will of the American nation, and much to do with the will of unelected corporations and special-interest organizations that have hijacked all levels of government to advance their own agendas at the expense of the people. Thanks to them, pregnant women have been all but reduced to subservient baby-making machines for their husbands, thus furthering the stranglehold of patriarchy in the American household.

Our loyal subjects, whether of Spain herself or of her overseas territories, can rest assured in the knowledge that such a basic human right shall never be curtailed in the Empire, nor shall we bow down to foreign interests or demands. Quite the opposite, in fact: as the world's leading superpower, the Spanish Empire is determined to make use of all her political and economic might to pressure the US administration into repealing this impulsive and unjust edict from the nation's highest court. Whatever happened to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness? Can't have that if you're chained inside your home and forced to carry a baby you don't want.

What if you didn't choose to get pregnant, or got pregnant by accident?
What if you have a medical condition that causes complications during birth?
What if you found out that your baby would have serious health problems—would it really be worse to end their suffering earlier rather than later?
What if you realized that you wouldn't be a good parent, or that you couldn't afford having children?

What if you didn't need a justification at all? Because it's your body, and what you do with it is nobody's business, but yours. Not your husband's, and most definitely not the state's. For that reason, I'm all for having the right to choose for yourself, and strongly denounce this decision of the United States Supreme Court as backwards and motivated by knee-jerk reactionism and demagoguery. What's next, making same-sex and interracial marriages illegal again? Totally unacceptable in the XXI century.

@Reese, Hacker Man: Well on the river cruise, some man with a cage for a head was on a canoe he was rowing the canoe along with some sentient horses that look like the ponies from the Hasbro series 'My Little Pony' I assume the 4th Generation up part of the series. Anyways, this man with a caged head embarked on one of the boats for the river cruise and engaged in conversation with its occupants. Afterwards, he made a perilous jump from that boat to ours and from there he conversed with the occupants of our boat. I actually got to converse with this man with the cage head along with my twin brother, Felix. I will be honest, I was a tad bit scared by this man's presence (I mean how could such a man exist?); Felix was a tad bit scared by this man's presence; practically everyone on the boat was slightly bothered by this man's presence. My baby sister started crying (I bet that she was a bit traumatized). But anyways, fright aside, the cage headed man was otherwise a fine man and he had a lot of cool interests. After I put my initial feelings aside, he was a great guy to talk to, we conversed for a bit until he jumped back into the canoe with his sentient horse friend.

I had an interesting experience yesterday: Little 90yo me was driven to an army training area to be introduced to the newest BG-BB (or Land Striker Unit for those, who are unfamiliar with the terminology of the Muster). Mind you, I stem from a time, when the norm was a two tons unit with a 50mm gun, wearing a flak jacket and a helmet.
They introduced me to the Marcach XIII, a five ton monster with a 120mm gun, networked electronics, integrated systems, body armour straight out of a science fiction movie and so on. Getting that blasted thing to move was an act and a half, but once I got it that far and cruised along with 70 km/h, nearly twice the speed of the BB-BG I was trained on all those years ago, it was awe-inspiring. Not to mention plinking with a 120mm gun while on the move. ; )
I also got to spend the afternoon with young Bebinni, share stories and laughs. A fun day. Thanks to the Armoured Regiment 222 for this opportunity.

The event happened over 1000 years ago. The Isles was split into four major kingdoms; Vestrad, Jegrar, Ashos, and Guire. There were other smaller kingdoms, duchies, and earldoms, but they were all under the influence on the main four. In the year 921, the four kingdoms joined together as a loose confederation, they were still basically independent, but there was universal laws being passed within all four kingdoms. About a hundred years later, the Kingdom of Guire rose up against the other three, because they felt like they weren't being listened to.

After the civil war ended, the three remaining kingdoms, under the 1030 Acts of Union, officially joined together as one entity, while keeping autonomy within their own realms. The autonomy of the kingdoms and the power of the central government has fluctuated over the years, it's a bit complicated to get into. Like, there were times where each kingdom was basically fully independent and there were times where the central government basically ruled everything. Nowadays, there's an equilibrium between the autonomy of the kingdoms and the power of the central government, with a slight emphasis on the central government, hence the semi-autonomy of the kingdoms.

One more thing, the Kingdom of Guire, after it's collapse, was eventually reorganized as the Territory of Adrines. Adrines, especially in the last 200 years or so, was treated as almost on par with the three kingdoms. It was basically a kingdom in everything but name. A few years ago, it was granted kingdom-ship and an ancestor of the last king was put on the throne.
