How to make a Custom Banner

So, I just reached the 50 million citizen threshold. I'd like to upload a custom banner, but the thing is, I'm not sure how to make an image fit the 4:1 aspect ratio without ending up weirdly stretched out of shape. Any ideas?

You need to use "crop" rather than "scale".

You just have to wait. Your population increases in a reasonably predictable manner (which averages out to, basically, around 2 billion per year) and when this passes each of the coded thresholds you gain the ability to upload a custom banner.
Also, once you've uploaded one you can change it whenever you want.

Are you using a computer or a mobile device? What I do is try and take a screenshot of the desired image, and then crop it onto Photos. NS allows anything from the Photos app to be a custom banner.
