Due to market instability, the Airden Cartel has decided to take matters into its own hands and address it's interests on its own terms. Unable to acquire its desired assets through conventional means, the Airden Cartel is expanding its horizons to new markets abroad by gaining a foothold in various countries, so the cartel may provide its services directly. To protect these ventures, which will almost certainly gain the ire of some of the more zealous, interventionist elements in the international community, the Airden Cartel is hiring. These hired assets will serve two purposes - protecting Airden investments, and attacking Airden enemies.
The Airden Cartel is an international
The Airden Cartel has been in business since the 8th Era, and successfully conducts trade all over the planes. As a result of this international commerce, the Airden Cartel has amassed a massive fortune over the millennia, from many corners of the multiverse, especially from our beloved allies and business partners. These trade alliances the Airden Cartel has established are of vital importance to the Airden Cartel, and as a result, the Airden Cartel is willing to pay extremely handsomely to protect it's business interests abroad. Our pay simply does not compare, and we have the resources to shell out for any who will work for us.
Currently, the Airden Cartel is hiring for three important positions to protect it's business interests: pirates, assassins, and mercenaries. Each of these are detailed below.
Pirates
To protect Airden businesses abroad, the Airden Cartel is hiring pirates to disrupt the naval operations of states and organizations which are interfering with Airden expansion prospects. The Airden Cartel has great need for international trade, and it knows this will attract attention from various militarized states and organizations, operating as a sort of "multiverse police".
Of particular note, the Airden Cartel asks pirates to attack the ships of any nation or organization that attempts to interfere with Airden expansion abroad. While the ships actively blockading or interfering with trade are high priority targets, pirates are free to attack any naval craft from such hostile nations and organizations, including civilian craft.
Rules for Pirates
- Pirates sign a contract with the Airden Cartel, which lay out the following rules.
- Pirates should attack the naval craft of any nation or organization which attempts to disrupt Airden business interests. A list of hostile nations and organizations will be produced at a later date.
- Pirates are allowed to keep any booty, including hostages and hijacked craft. We will not take a cut of your profits.
- Pirates are not to attack the Airden Cartel, or our allies.
- Pirates who sign onto our contract will be paid a comission per ship they successfully attack, whether the result is sinking the enemy ship, hijacking it, or rendering it inoperable. The amount paid is determined by what kind of enemy ship it is:
- $2M NSD worth of uncut diamonds for each civilian ship.
- $3.5M NSD worth of uncut diamonds for each warship.
- $6M NSD worth of uncut diamonds for each ship of the line (battleships, dreadnoughts, etc.)
- $7M NSD worth of uncut diamonds for each carrier ship.
Assassins
The Airden Cartel recognizes the need to hire assassins against its enemies, against those who would make threats against it and its business interests. To that end, the Airden Cartel is hiring assassins to kill high priority targets in nations which threaten the Airden Cartel.
Rules for Assassins
- Assassins are on an open bounty system - bounties are posted for particular individuals or groups and anyone can claim these bounties. Bounties are paid on proof of death - usually the severed head of the individual so they can be properly identified.
- Anyone can be an assassin for the Airden Cartel - assassinations are freelance, non-contract - all you need to do is look over our bounty list posted below, get some gear, and make an attempt on the life of one of our targets. If multiple people succeed in killing a target, the bounty is paid in full to each party who turns in the kill - we don't want our assassins fighting each other over payment and are willing to pay extra to prevent that.
- Currently, the Airden Cartel is keeping assassins on retainer. Bounties will be issued at a later date for key figures in enemy nations.
- Not all bounties are worth the same. Some targets are considered more high priority than others. Payment is listed below:
- $30K NSD worth of uncut diamonds for the direct relative of a general, admiral, or politician.
- $1M NSD worth of uncut diamonds for the child of a general, admiral, or politician, if brought in alive. (If dead, paid as any other relative.)
- $50K NSD worth of uncut diamonds for an active duty general or admiral.
- $1M NSD worth of uncut diamonds for a politician.
- $20M NSD worth of uncut diamonds for a leader.
Mercenaries
To protect the Airden Cartel from attacks by these warmongers and their ilk, the Airden Cartel is hiring mercenaries to defend it's operations and leadership, as well as conduct attacks on hostile nations. These mercenaries thus can be divided into two roles: assault, and defense. These roles are not mutually exclusive, a mercenary can apply for both.
Assault mercenaries conduct covert missions against enemies of the Airden Cartel to protect it's business interests. These missions are issued secretly to mercenaries who have been accepted for the role.
Defense mercenaries are employed around the clock to protect Airden leaders and important personnel of our business partners. They are also contracted to aid with security of such personnel and leaders as well.
Rules for Mercenaries in General
- You are professionals. Obviously, do not attack us, our allies, or otherwise interfere with our business.
- Bring your own gear. If you do not have any, we will provide some basic equipment.
- Promotions are available to mercenaries who show exceptional skill and company loyalty.
- If you die on the mission, your payment will be issued to any relatives or friends you list in your contract.
Rules for Assault Mercenaries
- Assault mercenaries are employed on a per-mission basis. Assault mercenaries are contracted out, but when not working for the Airden Cartel, they may do as they please, as long as it does not interfere with Airden business.
- Payment is on a per-mission basis, with a retainer of $15K NSD worth of uncut diamonds per month. Payment per mission varies depending on the nature and threat of the mission, but starting rates are at $15K NSD worth of uncut diamonds. Payment is half up front, and half when you return with a completed mission.
Rules for Defense Mercenaries
- Defense mercenaries are employed on a salary of $30K NSD worth of uncut diamonds per month.
- For every security flaw discovered, you will earn an additional $40K NSD worth of uncut diamonds.
All sign ups are to be done in secret, to avoid any unwanted attention it may bring to you. The appropriate forms may be found here.

This thread was originally made somewhat in anticipation of Airden involvement in the AUTO-ULIBOR war... sort of (we made this thread in anticipation of a war, found the war was already happening elsewhere, and tried to join...), but we were informed we were not allowed to join.
However, this thread's original intent, in a sense, remains entirely intact, though the exact details are somewhat repurposed. The Airden Cartel is still ICly interested in ever-increasing its profits, thus being unable to purchase requisite goods to resell to IC allies would not cause their desires to falter. Having found new RPing partners, a new war is beginning, one of Airden expansion and attempt to corrupt local governments abroad.

IC link will be up later.
