Now with South Olpen troops disembarking in South America it would only be a matter of time before tensions would flair as the cultural differences could provide a staging point for Galapagos exiles to radicalize the population to retake their lost country. However that is only what could be. Now Galapagos generals and politicians in charge of the nuking of South Olpen face justice by those they hoped to destroy.

Most of the government is focused on Law and Order, taxes, and developing cultural and economic ties. The government is worried, however, as Constitution CIty is beginning to ask for the preparation of 150 million as demanded in the treaty.

They are put into a military base near New Oversight while both sides of the case gather evidence. They are kept under constant supervision, with each of the prisoners being guarded by 2 armed guards each. The prosecutors are ready to get them to pay for the crimes they committed with their life.

With the rising searches of monasteries many break out into firefights as the survivors would prefer to be dead on their feet rather then execution as they see it as dishonorable. The wider people however began to grumble about underrepresentation they recognize the government doing something now and stay mostly silent.

The New Oversight Trials are completed 22 weeks after the execution of Johnny Scott. In the climax of the main trial, known as the Galapagos Nuclear Strikes Trial, the President is found guilty and sentenced to death. He, with the other 18 defendants found guilty, are shot in the head in October. Their remains are all cremated. Many of the general's and high-ranking leaders' remains are kept in South Olpen.

In New Oversight, a Civilian Government Advisory Council is created under the strict supervision of the New Oversight Commission. They are also only an advisory committee, but it is understood that their concerns will be taken into account.

As a way to combat joblessness now that several industries (ie weapons production, bureaucracy, and the military) are outsourced or eliminated, a new project is made. It will create a new port and city to be the new capital of the Galapagos or at least a very lucrative new port. Workers are sourced from the Galopagosian population. First to be built is the port, and over the course of several years, a large metropolitan city will be built. The name is purchased from landowners via imminent domain, but all landowners are given above-adequate payment and a guaranteed job. The city is to be under the direct control of Constitution CIty for the time being. It is to be named Flor de la Ciudad (Blossom City).
