Idk if this question fits here or "Got Issues?" and I certainly am asking a question where I know the answer but don't wanna accept.

your best chance is getting it by opening packs, cuz it would be physically impossible to trade

Is it possible to still find S1 cards from packs?

It would probably be insanely long shot since it's last found

"3 years 109 days ago: Found by Lazarene Cows United" and its trade history is only 1 with a person gifting it to card's player.

Thanks for replies.

It is totally random. CTE cards and S1 cards have very low probability.

You better set up a bid for the card, so if it´s found, the finder might know, that there´s someone maybe interested in buying it.
You can expect an ask for 10 - 20 or more for such a card, single-owners seldom go for less...

Or you wait for someone to resurrect their puppet and suddenly flood the market with a card you’ve now inexplicably forked over five bank on.

…not speaking from personal experience or anything

...which is not very likely to happen, since the card (nation) in question is as good as out of the game for more than three years; and even if, it still would be a series one very-low-owner-card for a long time, till more copies might be found. Maybe that works on series two copies, but definitely not for series one copies.
I´d say, it´s better to chain up a ten or even more bank on a bid just in case, than to safe them `cause of the incredibly slim one-in-a million chance to draw said card on a puppet of your own and therefore miss the (already) incredibly slim chance to be offered the card, if someone else is lucky enough to draw and also stupid enough to sell it (regarding all the ridiculous penny-bids on very-low-owner-season-one-cards) for a few pennies. Which I wouldn´t call a sign of 'clever trading', but a sign of simple stinginess.
But, of course, everyone is free to play as everyone likes to play this game...

I was venting about something that had just happened to me - highly specific, anecdotal, and yeah - not very likely.

But the penny bids - I often place penny bids in order to keep an eye on cards. Simpler than bookmarking and there’s always the chance you get lucky.

I wasn´t referring about 'marking cards for watching them more easyly' (as the game doesn´t offer any other solution for this but placing a bid - usually .01 or .02 on a card), what I was/am talking about are bids below JV, or (often multiple) bids of a few pennies for very rare or highly searched after cards without any intention to buy said cards for an adaequate price ever; same goes for ridiculous asks for random cards, like ten, twenty or even more for (not cted) cards with dozens of owners; such behaviour is, imo, simply annoying, even if no one is forced to trade at such offers/bids though.
