Overview
Primus Theatres, is an Arpasian movie theater chain headquartered in Saveaux, Northeast Coast Region, and is ranked as the third largest movie theater chain corporation in all of Arpasia, with it's current CEO being Augustin Vigouroux. Established in 1956 by brothers Léopold and Gautier Vigouroux, who were the sons of the business conglomerate Fabien Vigouroux, the corporation began as a single drive-in theater in their hometown of Saveaux, initially, Gautier and his father came up with the idea of building the theater, after seeing that their hometown didn't have any cinemas back in the day.
Shortly after the completion of what would later be known as The Vigouroux Theater, the citizens of Saveaux begin flocking in to watch movies at the theater, at this time, there were only 4 movies played per week, but this quickly changed to daily operations due to the increasing demand from local citizens. Eventually, after building a second theater in the city, the brothers eventually establish the Léopold-Gautier Theater Company, this company helped boost the local economy and after gaining sufficient money, the brothers decided to expand the company beyond the boundaries of Saveaux.
The first branch to be built outside of Saveaux is in the capital of the Northeast Coast Region of Belle-Côté, and since theaters are generally a new thing in Arpasia, it became an instant success, with the mayors of several major cities in the Northeast Coast region requesting that theaters be built in their cities, however, the brothers plan to build their fourth and fifth branches in Philippeaux and eventually fulfill the requests of the city mayors. It is also in this time that the chief director of commerce propose that the company be renamed as Primus, meaning first, referencing to the company being one of the first movie theater chains to be established in Arpasia, and in 1964, this proposal is accepted by the brothers, and from that point onwards, the company is now known as Primus Theater Company.
As of now, there are 35 branches in all of Mainland Arpasia, with most of those branches being located in major cities or regional capitals.
