A major religion in Meadowfields includes ancestor reverence, especially those who helped to found the nation, and it's known as "Bigeng." About 50 ancestors are worshipped, and whoever they worship varies from region to region, though the main deity worshipped is Borough, the Raven of Time. It emerged in 1129 as a movement that advocated for the worship of the forefounders of the nation, whom many considered to be legends, and from there the religion gradually began to grow, and it has had some many changes throughout its existence.

Associated with them, respectively, are the Tome Keepers, Strand Lords, Skylords, and Windshears. The Rising Clans, some clans that are gaining more influence, include the Iron Tigers, Night Wolves, Deep Krakens, and Plainsriders.

Their military policy is rather pacifist in certain ways. For example, rather than having a standing army their army is a purely reserve army, although they do employ a fleet of privateers and corsairs, and even they are regulated in that if they do any sorts of egregiously cruel acts or if they are of any sort of concern, they will lose a big privilege of their "Letters of Marque." Speaking of regulations, there are many of these on what the army can do. For instance, their networks of espionage and sabotage are closely regulated to prevent them from attempting to tear down any democracies or committing human rights violations, and WMDs and conscription is banned, and in international conflicts they shall remain neutral unless human rights are violated, in which case they will intervene albeit in a way meant to be as bloodless and quick as possible.
