Holy High Is Open For Classes!

Day 1: Holy High has existed in many forms throughout the years, with many different teachers and many different adventures. So thus the school returns, in its former glory, but with new students. School has just opened, high in the Appalachian Mountains away from prying human eyes. Yet the humans are not in as large of a number as they once were. A war among the gods and the myths created new pages to a destructive story still untold to its ending, and the humans and animals of the mortal world hide and lie in wait for the new young gods to make their moves. But before they can make moves...

They have to make the grade.

Will the party of students be willing to rise to the challenge? What will become of the mortal world, and beyond? The story belongs to you, and the fate of untold worlds and lives.

Class is in session!

Lore and Legends
• The Heavens: The realm and abode of the Gods and divinity, corresponding to the concept of Above. This is where the many fonts of creation exist (usually due to the very presence of the deities), and where the Gods hold court. It is paradise, at least for the Gods in question. It is the spiritual slice of creation.

• The Earth: The physical and mortal realm where mortals and most of the creations of the Gods exist, corresponding to the concept of Below. Narratively, the universe revolves within the planet Earth... unless plot demands that we go further. It is the physical slice of creation.

• The Otherworlds: Not so heavenly and not so earthly, these are the mythical places that don't quite fit. This category is for the parallel and mirror worlds that exist throughout mythology such as the realm of dreams or the many Spirit Worlds. These realms correspond to the concept of Between.

• The Underworlds: These realms of rest are where the dead come to rest, either for eternal retirement, punishment, or simply as a stop for the next reincarnation. These realms correspond to the concept of Beneath.

• The Abyss Beyond: A place where creation perhaps sprung, or perhaps is not touched by it. The void of non-existence that is beyond creation, and is home to the oldest beings to ever live... if they even can be defined by time or life themselves. These correspond to the concepts of Beyond and Nothingness.

Important Events:
The Dying: Called “The Myth Wars” by some deities, “The Great Dying”, or “The Dying” by others. The name used depends on which side of the war a deity was in. Sometime in the near-distant future, the deities of various myths and legends summoned their pantheons to apocalyptic conflict. Nobody is quite sure what started The Dying. The running theory was that it was about the fate of humanity, but the story-as with many myths-is incomplete.
The Dying resulted in the deaths of an enormous chunk of humanity. Those who are alive remain in what existed of their cities and towns, or they remain hidden from the wrath of gods, monsters, and each other.
Not every city was affected equally by The Dying, not even in the same state or country.
The Dying also affected animals, plants, and other carbon-based organisms. Nobody has been able to calculate the loss of biodiversity worldwide, but the census among scientists who remain is that many formerly common species are endangered, critically endangered, or extinct.

2.) The Rebuild: The Great Dying was approximately 10-15 years ago, depending on who reads what calendar. To that end, humans have spent time rebuilding their towns, cities, and communities. Some cities resemble something of their old glory, while others have been rebuilt to reflect what materials remain.
The world population has been recovering very slowly, potentially with the help of deities or spirits who have lingered in some areas…
The recovery of animals, plants, and carbon-based life forms has been a part of the Rebuild, but progress has been harder to track.

On the Subject of the Beings that Call Themselves the Fae (Written by Finsternia)

These creatures, from the ugliest troll and goblin to the highest of their divine monarchs, are a subject of mystique. They wore many faces, titles, and names throughout history, wore the cloaks of Gods, kings, sorcerers, and tricksters, and have transformed from terrible horrors to adorable sprites that spreads glitter and cheer. Many mortals were more familiar with the face of Tinkerbell and the three Fairy Godmothers, benevolent Fae who granted blessings and happiness... but it was in recent times that they discovered that there are more Fae than what Walt Disney has shown on screen, and what he has shown were merely... the common citizens.

The Primal Lords and Wild Masters of Fantasy

To simplify the Fae is both easy and difficult. There is more to these infinite creatures whose names and titles both limit their potential and yet grant them the power to interact with the world. But their essence boils down quite easily, despite the infinitesmal forms and faces they may show or wear.

The Fae are creatures that thrive on fantasy and stories. They are the essence of fantasy and magic, which is to be told through story and song. Have you ever wondered why fairytales are called fairytales? To the Fae, Shakespeare's words that dictate that life is a stage is nothing but the truth. They are creatures of pure imagination, bound by the titles they bear and yet granted power by them. There is a reason why the Fae have transformed many times, for they cast aside their faces and masks for new tales to be told. They are the very embodiment of writer, play, and actor. For all their infinite power, there is nothing more dull than flaunting the capacity to overturn the skies and cause the oceans to turn to ash with no reason. Thus they tell tales with their existence, of myths of Gods and Goddesses, of knights and royalty, of heroes and monsters, of witches and wizards of catastrophic power.

The Fae are creatures of eternity and infinity. It is no surprise that their abode is called the Land of Youth and the Land of Eternity by the mortals. The Fae are eternal and everlasting and death, to them, is nothing but a continuation towards further infinity. Death is nothing but a short sleep, a small inconvenience and gap wherein they lose the individuality they had to return to infinity and rise again with a new life. With the end of a book comes the start of a new one, and when a Fae "dies" they simply return as a new book, a new actor, a new tale.

The Fae are ancient spirits, bound to the wilds and the very pulse of life. They are the lords and ladies of the forests, the Kings and Queens of the seasons, and the guardians of the cycle of life. It is in the wild, in the thickets and forests, would one find the stuff of legends. It is by their breath that new life flourish, and by their dancing does the wheel of the seasons and life turn.

The Laws that Bind the Unbindable

It is by the Fae's fancy that they are to be bound by the oddest of rules, and while myths have written quite a few of their laws there is much more that mortals have not seen or heard. Here are some of the laws that the Fae do abide in:

The Power of the Word: In many myths, the Fae wield the mystifying power of blessings and curses. There is power in both spoken and written word, in names and in promises. The Fae are bound by their name and their title, their promises and their words... and so too can they do the same with others.

Ruled by Passion: If there is one thing all Fae have in common is that they are creatures of pure passion. They derive joy in the exaltation of their wants and desires, and honor in the appreciation of their pursuit towards the fulfillment of their goals. But this is also a terrible curse upon them, for love for a Fae is nothing like that of a mortals.

The Law of Hospitality:The Fae are bound to grant guests upon their abode the grace of a host, no matter how miniscule it may be. Even the most inhospitable of domains and fiefdoms must have a way for survival, no matter how convoluted it could be. Even a Fae Royal whose lands are a sea of fire must have a way for "guests" to live, even if it meant a gruelling task to plead to the flames for some form of respite.

Gifts of Equal Measure: To accept the goodwill or the presents of a Fae merits one to return the gesture in equal measure. There are many Fae who tricked mortals to stay forever in their realms with an offering of food, for it is nourishment that would have saved their entire life. There are also some mortals who have tricked the Fae in return foe their own greater benefit... but most often do such exchanges still end terribly for the mortal in question.

The Great Bane of Iron: Iron is the greatest bane of the Fae, for it is the most non-magical thing to ever exist. It is the symbol of stagnancy, a direct opposition to the Lords of Fantasy. This metal causes great harm to the lesser Fae, and while the greater Lords and Ladies are not harmed by such things... iron is still loathed by the Royalty for what it could do to their brethren.

Rules and Procedures

1.) Please respect the OP and co-OPs (Finsternia and Danceria). We're not tough people, we work really hard, and we're always open to suggestions. But we're not doormats. We've done this now for a long time.
2.) OOC drama needs to be dealt with in a diplomatic manner, and if not, PLEASE come to a co-OP or myself for any concerns (we have a place for that in the Discord channel as well, if you have Discord).
3.) NO METAGAMING, NO GOD-MODDING. Unless I sanction it.
4.) PG-13 rule applies, please respect site rules regarding obscenity and whatnot. Ya'll old enough to know what all that means.
5.) Please be open to communication, we accept all skill levels when it comes to writing, I send messages to the RP frequently, and if you need help writing, PLEASE SAY SOMETHING.
6.) Please don't enter the Discord until your App has been accepted! We have to monitor traffic.
7.) We DO NOT normally give away characters who are NPCs. You need to ASK permission from me, from a co-OP if I'm not here, and from the player who owns the character. Those characters belong to THEIR PLAYERS with very specific exceptions.

Nantoraka wrote:
Name: Coatrisquie, Herald of Lightning
Pantheon: Taino
Gender: Male
Domain(s): Lightning, storms, hurricanes, flood waters, torrential downpours, warriors
Parents: Guabancex (mother), unknown Wind Spirit (father)
Age: ?????
Appearance: Coatrisquie, a much more physical-associated god than his two siblings, is rather tall even for a spirit (standing a full head taller than Abaguabana); his build is much more muscular than that of his siblings, and his hair is much longer as well, extending to his lower back, and unlike Abaguabana, Coatrisquie does not tie his hair into knots or buns to reduce their length, preferring to instead keep it long. Whereas Abaguabana's human avatar is decidedly human in appearance, Coatrisquie chooses to instead use an avatar that much more vividly reflect his nature as a spirit - his skin is not tanned, but bronze, metallic at that, using the same metallic skin colors that are endemic to all divine spirits. He possesses similar tattoos to his youngest brother, which start at his wrists, extend through his arms, and end upon his pectoral muscles. Whereas Abaguabana's ritual tattoos symbolize the sun and ocean, Coatrisquie's tattoos reflect his pride as one of the greatest of the wind spirits - depicting solely patterns of clouds, the Milky Way, the birds, and the wrath of the hurricane.

Much like other spirits, he is a shapeshifter, and his form is typically never reflective of his true form. His true form is that of a massive hawk spirit, wreathed in lightning and clouds, with a wingspan of several feet, and talons made from what seem to be solidified yet continuously arcing electricity. Though Coatrisquie very much prefers his true form as an enormous hawk spirit, he chooses to use a human avatar for ease of interacting with the environment and his followers.

Personality: Compared to Abaguabana, Coatrisquie is a much more aggressive and hotheaded individual who does not willingly submit to others without a good reason. A warrior at heart, Coatrisque disdains the ideals of rulership and does not pay very much attention to those that follow him. He does not have particular patience for planning or strategy, and even through life, Coatrisquie prefers to simply "go with the flow" and move as life takes him. While it is charted to his nature as a wind spirit and likely inherited from his mother, who was even more capricious, it cannot be denied that Coatrisquie lacks the patience of other gods. Though where others would take offense at being called such, Coatrisquie does not deny his nature and knows what he is, leading for him to be perfectly happy with his lot in life and preferring to leave matters of importance to his brothers who he feels are much more better suited than he will ever be.

Though prideful to a fault and unwilling to back down, Coatrisquie does maintain some sort of friendly demeanor to others, though his attitude is certainly prone to bouts of sarcasm and he is unafraid to call out, or even insult, those greater than him - even (or especially) when they consider themselves "above" him, which is something Coatrisquie tends to take as a personal slight against his character. In comparison to his more pacifistic brother Abaguabana and his more compassionate (though still somewhat aggressive) twin Guatauba, Coatrisquie's true calling is battle - he finds himself bored easily when not "dealing" with the dark spirits of the spirit world, and thoroughly enjoys himself whenever crushing resistance. It was Coatrisquie's enjoyment of power that had him not only happily follow his mother during their hurricanes (compared to Abaguabana who strongly disliked the idea of creating a hurricane, and Guatauba who ensured to create warning signs for individuals to get away) but also what had him happily accept the shard of Juracan within him, seeing the elder destruction god's essence as a way to increase his power. It was these qualities that nearly had Coatrisquie locked within Soraya alongside his mother following the Dying, but his dedication to his family and his genuine love for the Spirit World saved him from such a fate.

Powers:
Shapeshifting
Much like his brother and the other spirits, Coatrisquie is a shapeshifter, and can freely change his human form into whatever appearance he wishes. Unlike Abaguabana's shapeshifting, who's domain over the sea enables to change him into anything within the bounds of the ocean, Coatrisquie lacks these abilities, though his status as a wind spirit and prince of the sky chiefdom Aumatex means that he is capable of transforming into birds, and his particularly two favored forms is that of a hawk, and that of a seagull.

Electrokinesis and Weather Control
First of the Hurricane Gods and the inheritor of his mother's powers over lightning, Coatrisquie's control over electricity and the weather is second only to his mother. Coatrisquie is capable of generating extremely powerful electrical currents, and capable of freely changing the local weather to what he desires - rain, clear skies, and stormy weather is all within his repertoire. And appropriately for his status as a channeler of storms, Coatrisquie is a conductor - electricity is all but harmless to him no matter the current, and passes through him as if he was a living wire.

Minor Hydrokinesis
Coatrisquie's control over water is middling at best. Though he can freely manipulate any source of water, it is far less versatile and far less powerful than anything Abaguabana can do - whereas Abaguabana can freely change the physical state of water and adjusting its properties to whatever he desires, Coatrisquie can only move it, and only in smaller portions at that.

Minor Aerokinesis
Also sharing a portion of his twin's powers over air, Coatrisquie retains strong, but comparatively minor, control of wind.

Fusion into Juracán
When called forth to act in his capacity as Coatrisquie the Storm, he brings with him lightning and rain, and Guataubá brings the wind and the thunder. Though all three are capable of summoning great storms by each other, they have the ability to combine into Juracán, the six-armed spinning god of destruction and disorder who embodies the terrible power of the hurricane. Juracán has a separate consciousness than his components, who effectively lose their individuality while combined, and is chaotic and directionless, seeking only the destruction of everything in front of him and his hurricanes until he is forced to split into Abaguabana, Guataubá, and Coatrisquie once more.

Background:

Coatrisquie was born as the oldest amongst twins during the great first age of the spirit world, when men and spirits lived amongst each other during the time of the First World, considered to be the great golden age of the spirits. Born to the young storm goddess Guabancex and a long-since-passed wind spirit, Coatrisquie and his brother were declared to be divinity by Yucahu in their youth, and declared to be the successors to the storms. Coatrisquie was a much more hot-headed youth than his brother, and desired to be a warrior, a powerful spirit that struck down the dark spirits wherever they appeared. As Guacar grew more powerful, and his influence began to seep into the Spirit World like a corrupting, evil oil, Coatrisquie was among the divine spirits to step forth to bring down divine wrath onto the dark spirits that spawned in the wake of Guacar's presence.

He bore witness to many events, and while never quite maturing to old age due to the peculiar nature of spirits, Coatrisquie never lost his sense of loyalty to his grandfather and his family. Coatrisquie was involved in the destruction of the human kingdom of Aumatex, helping his mother conjure a storm so powerful, it burned away the inhabitants and created winds so overwhelmingly powerful it tore the entire kingdom from the earth and cast it into the sky, which continues to linger in the remains of the storm that tore it away an eternity ago. Though Coatrisquie grew to become rather ambivalent to humankind at best, he was struck with despair when the end of the First World came and the birth of the destroyer god Juracan occured. Juracan, who was far too powerful for any spirit to truly destroy, rampaged throughout the First World, killing Lokuo, the first human, driving Maquetaurie into the underworld, nearly destroying Faraguvaol, and permanently scarring the twin gods of the moon and sun Boinayel and Marohu.

Unable to destroy the almighty god of destruction, Yucahu split Juracan into three equal shards, sealing him within Guabancex, Coatrisquie, and Guatuaba for good, keeping him from rising again as the elder god rebuilt the Spirit World and forced humanity into the primordial caves for their survival. Though Juracan's shard would eventually, unbeknownst to all but Yucahu, drive Guabancex into a rage-filled state, Coatrisquie retained his sanity and sense of self by diving deeper and deeper into his warrior spirit, keeping Juracan from influencing his mind and body through dedication to his true desires. During the Dying, Coatrisquie created multiple hurricanes with his siblings and mother to unleash upon the world, seemingly only for his own sake to help drive down the influence of Juracan, and using their horrifically destructive powers to wage war upon the evil deities that would seek to destroy the world of spirits and the world of men. Though ultimately one of the causes of misery of many people throughout the Western Hemisphere through his hurricanes, it was his usage of these very same hurricanes to drive away evil gods and his dedication to keeping the Spirit World safe that saved him from being locked away like his mother.

NPC Application
Name: Aodhan, Attendant to Prince Deaglan
Pantheon: Celtic
Gender: Male
Domain(s): Light, Fire, and Summer
Parents: Gifted by ????? to the Prince Deaglan as his lifelong attendant
Age: ?????
Appearance: It presents itself as a small firebird chick, with horns on its head. Other pantheons witness it as an appropariately remarkable firebird. If it wanted to present in a humanoid form, Aodhan presents itself in a male elfin avatar dressed in robes made with woven tangible light.
Powers:
Summer's Protector: Aodhan follows the Prince and protects him, and its presence amplifies the Prince's power as if a battery to the forces of his Summer Valley.
Sunlit Wrath: Aodhan freely commands the forces of fire and light, and their derivative symbols, and could use them in all sorts of ways.
Eternal Ember of Life: If a scenario that leads to Aodhan's death happens, the firebird can resurrect itself once at will and further resurrection leads it encased in an indestructible egg of fire. This resurrection then takes three days to a week to complete. Aodhan regains its power of instant resurrection by the end of the month.
Fragment of Magic: Aodhan is the sworn protector of the Prince's Magic and domains and the sanctity of magic and fantasy itself. It senses offenses to it, and could wield great magical powers himself.
Background:

Once upon a time, when the sun burned ninefold in the sky and the the moons danced thrice upon thrice the steps upon the twilight sky, a guest arrived during a most auspicious ceremony. Amidst cheers and trumpets and joyous shouts of celebration, this stranger waltz with nobility to stand before the Queen and her beloved son. Bearing a fond smile and greetings of prosperity, the stranger kneeled in front of the Prince to present a gift. An egg, shining like a gemstone of ruby and topaz, that burns within with the fire of the sun.

"Take this gift I grant you, Prince of the Summer Valley, for your name day... It is a gift of companionship, of friendship... and of trust. The world may stand against you... but know that you are not alone. Here is my promise... across many lifetimes... Happy birthday, Deaglan."

With a soft smile, leaving behind words that seem nonsensical to the Prince, the unknown personage left with polite and friendly courtesies to the Queen Mother. It seems foolish, perhaps, to think that a Prince would have any need for companionship. A Prince has no shortage for allies and sycophants to decorate their thrones and to gossip in their halls. A Prince certainly does not lack for servants and attendants, for knights and valets.

But as aeons pass, throughout the cycles of many eternities, ever since the sun forged egg hatched into a dazzling bird of fire... it never left the Prince of Summer's side. Through many trials of betrayals, political games, and hardships uncountable... that gifted bird never left and never faltered in its oaths. It stayed and not just as an attendant and a servant, but a genuine friend to the Prince.

Name: Eleos the Shepherd (Nymph of Retribution)
Pantheon: Greek (Formerly), [REDACTED]
Gender: Female
Domain(s): Redemption, Mercy, Freedom
Parents: Nemesis
Age: ?????
Appearance: Eleos takes the form of a humanoid woman, dressed in simple white robes that changes depending on the belief of those who looks at her. Her robes change into the appropriate dress of clergy depending on the person's faith. To a God, they see the clothing of their most faithful. She has her hair bald shaven, with four horns that curl and join together into two halo-like structures above her head. Two white heavenly wings sprout from her back.
Powers:
Release the Bindings: Eleos has the power to break shackles or any symbol of oppression and jailment. The containing seals and powers of Gods are beyond her power, but she can wear down such seals through intricate and time-consuming rituals

Grace of Mercy: Eleos has the power to grant miraculous healing to those she touches, healing even the most grievous of wounds.

Heart of Compassion, Soul of Guilt: Eleos' presence and aura exudes the power of an all-forgiving being, and moves the minds and hearts of those who have sinned or faulted against Divine Law. She has the unconscious power to affect believers, and those she frees from their bindings.
Background:

Eleos was once a faithful servant to the Primordial Nemesis. She once took her born duty with blind faith, understanding that she is born to punish those who break laws and oaths.

But the heft and gravity of her duty has worn down on her soul for many, many eons. Many are punished not for true sin, but the sin of aggravating Gods. The War in Heaven destroyed many countries and many lands, and many lives have fallen under the wrath of Gods. By the end of the war, the poor Punisher was broken at the state of the world. She tried to save those who rightfully needs, and punished those who rightfully deserves, but too many died and too many were punished for nothing.

One day, as she travels through the broken lands, she finds an idol wrapped in chains. It spoke to her, saying it was a forgotten God imprisoned unfairly. It spoke that it was a God whose heart of kindness became its downfall, and those who hated its kindness sealed it away. It said it was called the Bound Weeper, and it weeps for the world and those slain and imprisoned.

It granted her a blessing, a promise and grace with its "remaining" power. It freed her from service of the Primordial, but asked for her service in saving those bound such as it. To save those unjustly imprisoned, and to save the Bound Weeper itself.

Name: Patriah (Title Unknown)

Gender: Male

Age: 19

Appearance:

Personality: Patriah’s best skill is fighting. He has a keen eye, excellent focus in combat, and enjoys the banter that comes with a good fight. Outside of combat, however, he struggles socially. Romance and friendships are more complicated, and so he tends to be quiet when asked about things that are not related to combat and swords. However, he is willing to learn. He loves to eat, and the easiest way to a conversation with him is to present him with a lot of food. When alone, sometimes he does contemplate his ability to rule as a god, given his lack of social skills. He is prone to rudeness and banter when he is pushed or aggravated, and he does not mind settling a dispute with a duel.

Pantheon: Greek

Divine Parent(s): Thanatos, Hecate

Domain: Wind/Lightning

Abilities:
1.) Master swordsman - Patriah’s sword, the Dragonwing Blade, is his constant companion. However, he can handle most swords with ease.
2.) Weapons expert - He can pick-up most weapons, especially heavy weapons, and can learn how to use them very quickly.
3.) Wind Manipulation - Patriah can use the wind to help him to float, to fly, to push things around, and to create small tornadoes and straight-line winds.
4.) Lightning Manipulation - Patriah can turn lighting against opponents within - 200 foot diameter, and can also turn lightning into swords or armor.
5.) Dragon form - Once per day, he can take the form of a large Adult Emerald Dragon, which can control the weather of a particular region and has razor-sharp wings.

Classes:
Main: Power Management, Gym/Fighting, Diplomacy, Magic
Humanities: Home Ec, Stargazing, Art

Background:
Even death has a desire to share his knowledge with a child, with someone who can understand the gravity of immortality, of power, of knowledge. Thanatos, spending much of his time alone, found that the mighty wind and the lightning had been taken much by Zeus’s own strength. After all, no soul would dare stand to the strongest god of the Greeks, Save perhaps Hecate, Persephone, or Hades. Yet this child would not stand to Zeus, not now. Rather, he would be born a disciple of death, a curator of the wind and its sharpness.

Using some of his own blood, and Hecate’s powerful Magic expertise, Patriah was born to be a powerful warrior. His name is not Greek, and in fact seems to perhaps be a title from a forgotten language. Yet Thanatos has raised him carefully, as both a parent and a teacher. While Patriah grew-up knowing he was loved and had high expectations, his “father” was more of an introvert and so the young god learned to copy his behavior.

Yet as a wind deity, Patriah had a thirst for life, for fighting, for wild adventures. With his “son” being young to fight in the God Wars as they happened, however, Thanatos managed to secure him a weapon which would become his signature weapon as he became old enough: The Dragonwing Blade. His child was overjoyed to have this beautiful weapon with which he could train. Yet he was always curious about the ways that other gods interacted so easily, whereas Thanatos remained mostly hidden or busy.

Other denizens of the Underworld did take an interest in him, particularly Hades. He saw Patriah’s dedication to learning to fight and learning to recognize the frailty of humans. He thus taught him to be a more observant fighter, one who waits to strike rather than attacking relentlessly. Yet Hades was also not a social character, and young Patriah feared Persephone’s iron fist underneath her sweet exterior. And so he continued to wonder about social relationships. Thanatos, seeing that he had neglected this need, thus sent his child to Holy High, in which he could focus not only on his godly nature but also on interacting with other young deities.

Name: Vix
Gender: Female
Age: 28 (physically)
Personality: As her name suggests, she's very fierce and argumentative at times, and often picked fights with the village council before they banished her, although her exile softened the rough edges, she'll still lash out occasionally. She can be a little shy at times.
Appearance:
Image

Pantheon: Greek
Divine Parent(s): Artemis, (Surrogate parent is the Teumessian fox.)
Domain: Foxes, agility, and stealth.
Abilities:

Affinity of the fox
Vix can turn into an adult red fox at will. During this time, she can still understand humans and retains her memories and thoughts. This transformation wears her out though, and staying in fox form drains energy. This means she has to increase her stamina in order to keep that form.
She has the enhanced smell and hearing of a fox, as well as retractable claws. Her longest time in fox form is twenty minutes.

Peircing Shriek
Now, I know what you're wondering; what DOES the fox say? And I have an answer! They don't. Instead, they scream as a way to communicate. Vix can do something similar, emitting a high-pitched screech that will bring all foxes within a 5-mile radius to her location. using this power she can also talk to foxes.

Immortality
Like all gods, Vix is immortal.

Swift
she can run really, really fast for a short period of time.

Sharp Spikes
Vix can make her teeth and nails incredibly sharp like a paper shredder. She can make her teeth return to normal, but she has to trim her nails back down, so she's become adept at giving herself manicures.

Ears diminish fears
This... isn't really a power, but her fox ears contain much floof, and petting them can calm people and gods down. However, she rarely lets people touch them without permission. If you manage to do so without permission... Well, let's just say that her nails won't be the only thing she's trimming.

Sneaky Pounce
She can sneak up behind her enemy while holding her breath. Once she is where she wants to be, Vix can propel herself into the air; effectively launching a surprise attack on the victim's head.

Classes: History, Power management, Diplomacy, Gym/Fighting, Stargazing, Artistic expression.

Background: Before she was turned to stone and became a constellation, the Teumessian fox was nine months pregnant with Vix. All throughout her time as a rock, and then a constellation, Vix was still growing; just at a much slower pace. However, The power used to change her into a rock was partially absorbed by Vix, making her appear half-human. This also changed her into a god.

Vix was finally born during the middle of the war and fell to earth, where she was found by some villagers on a hunting trip. Despite her ears, tail, and eyes, they took her to the village and raised her, giving her the name Vix-a shortened version of the name for a female fox, Vixen.

As years passed, earthquakes and tornadoes ravaged the land around the village, and the game was scarce. even the small mammals, like mice, had fled. It was around this time when an earthquake went straight through the village, and a small child fell in. Vix saw this; screaming bloody murder, she ran to the gap with a burst of inhuman speed, catching her.

After this incident, both the villagers and Vix realized there was something more to her inhuman appearance, something...godlike. When the council heard they banished her, blaming her for the village's misfortune and the large number of foxes that had shown up after the incident.

For years, she wandered from place to place, learning from philosophers and craftsmen, but never staying in one place. It was at one of these towns where she met a strange old man who spoke of a godly war causing destruction. While many ignored him, she sat and listened, learning of alliances, betrayals, victories, and defeats. Approaching the man, she asked him how he knew. He simply smiled, saying, "Listen to yourself, young one. There's a reason for those ears. Listen and discover your power."
Then, he disappeared.

After that, Vix did a lot of thinking, trying all sorts of things to understand what he meant. A year before the war ended, she found out-By turning into a fox during a storm. She spent only five seconds like that but during that time, she realized what he meant. She realized she was a god.

She continued to roam the world, helping out where she could with her newfound abilities. When Vix heard about holy high from a particularly sneaky fox, she had to go.

She wondered who she would meet. After all, a fox needs its skulk...

I'm excited! am I allowed to ake the same opening post? and use this char, since Vix just joined and therefore has no backstory/interactions to rebuild?

Reposties

Name: Astrid
Gender: Female
Age: 20
Appearance: Just a human form always hidden but very present: multiple rings of cutting scars from some delightful barbed chains for restraining gods in Niflheim. Added 05/13/2023: Astrid Alter, Armored, Gym bod time!
Personality: Astrid has lived a life of near endless victory, freedom and lack of hardship. She is arrogant as they come, and violent as could be imagined. Her entire worldview is a self centered, power-tripping delusion, frailly based on a cult-like worship of strength and power which she herself dominates, and which all other things, and all other concerns, and all other entities, are secondary and inferior. Humans are little more than ants, and other divine beings are playthings and weaklings who deserve no respect. To put it shortly, a delusional, narcissistic, lackadaisical, arrogant bitch, with no experience or concept of the world beyond herself.
Divine Parent(s): Freyja
Domain: Hunting, War, Storms
Abilities:
Supernatural Combat: Simply being of supernatural physique as gods are is a mere beginning. As a war goddess, Astrid grew up with a natural talent for using it in unique ways. Primarily through combination with Storm Manipulation on her physical body directly, using a rather blatantly amateurish form of Atmokinetic fighting styles and lacking the total grace, precision and control that she seems to think she otherwise has.

Storm Manipulation: Controlling storms already there, or using current conditions to make her own. While the potential applications of this are as wide as the sky itself, her current ability creates or controls storms in the area surrounding her to create a localized chaotic environment where the senses of the opponent are impaired to varying degrees. She's not very good at controlling them beyond this, and, if left to it long enough, will accidentally create a superstorm and pretend it was intended all along.

Predator Instinct: Looks are deceiving, this daughter of a Goddess of a Beauty, for example, secretly holds the natural instincts of a Supernatural Apex Predator. Accuracy, Senses, Stealth, Tracking, and Pursuit abilities are not merely impressive - but terrifying - even to gods. Though she is not always running on this instinct, it will be very clear when she does, as a total demeanor shift will occur, accompanied with a feeling of malaise and sense of impending doom. Her fighting style also changes, primarily in that she isn't usually trying to kill people, but now very clearly is, and knows how to do it. Out of her 3 abilities, this is by far the least controlled, aside from the innate skills with accuracy and such, having minimal control, focused on maintaining lucidity and therefore memory. When confronted with a dangerous opponent or notably injured, she may well lose control and fly into a state of feral aggression. Or not, roll for luck i suppose.

Classes: History, Power Management, Gym, Science/Alchemy, Humanities, Stargazing
Background: Astrid was born to the easiest life a semi-delusional delinquent with arrogant dreams of grandeur could ever hope for. As the 3rd daughter of Freyja, she was paid little heed to by her mother, the War in Heaven was raging, and then ended with Freyja one of the most severely weakened Norse deities. Her elder sisters were nothing of note, no great of significant power, nothing truly divine to them but the name of their mother. The youngest sister by far, she was the only one born with power.

To accompany it she was blessed twice, power an almost prodigal innate talent. A young Astrid had little trouble recognizing and acclimating to the fact she was unlike her sisters in every way imaginable. From here, she was blessed thrice, or as some would say - born to the wrong clan of the gods. A Vanir descended from Freyja, with the potential for rampaging war power to rival the mighty Aesir.

As a young child, Astrid would frequently throw herself into the Hjaðningavíg, the endless-battle of heroes in her home of Fólkvangr, paralleling those held by Odin in Valhalla. Despite her youth, lack of experience, and indeed, any real training, she never did lose. At times a particularly skilled and powerful opponent would come close to besting her, but always in the last moment, would a bestial look awaken in her eyes, and the nigh-victorious man would be thrown into a sudden fearful shock before his unexpected demise.

At the age of 14, Astrid became more absent from the Hjaðningavíg, preferring instead to roam the vast fields of Fólkvangr. She was alone at first, and it was unclear what she was doing, but none would dare to bother her. Over time the younger children of Fólkvangr began to journey with her, and after many years, one could spot a hero or two going across the endless plains to the brewing clouds afar. None asked where the clouds had come from, why or how they had and continue to grow, nor why they are ever in place, spinning without motion. After 3 years, now 17, Astrid returned to the Hjaðningavíg, with an entirely new strain of ruthless brutality the innocent, though cocky child of yesteryear had never shown. Never once did she lose a fight. Never once, this time, did anyone even come close. Those who had followed her in years prior, the other children in particular, would follow to watch her in the battle, always praising her, the beginning of her very own cult.

After an altercation outside the Hjaðningavíg, the young godling began choosing her fights wherever, whenever, and with whomever she pleased. For a time, Freyja's presence and mere disapproval was enough to stop her, but this time was succeeded with her targets simply disappearing into the misty plains under the storm clouds, now known as the Stormlands. Few returned.

Astrid's behavior and delusions merely intensified henceforth, the year after, and she began to speak to her followers of the coming dawn of the new wars, just as the curtains closed on the last. First she would rectify the disgrace of her ancestors in the Aesir-Vanir War, and take Odin's throne for herself. Second, she would shatter the heavens twice, and cleanse with the blood of the divine the cowardice of the Norse pantheon in their acquiescence to peace in the Great War in Heaven. Or so she said, as her rhetoric intensified, so too did the disappearances.

For all these years, Freyja had largely ignored the problem. She was not a completely absent parent from the childs life, rather that choice was made by Astrid, and by the Great War. Rather, by the time Astrid had shown herself to be a problem, it was beyond Freyja's ability to contain. Only when rumor of the goddesses grandiose plans to rend the heavens with new wars began to spread did she act, too little and too late.

Freyja journeyed, herself and a handful of companions, into the Stormlands which Astrid spent most her time in. By now it had become known that the young goddess' way with storms was the source of the anomaly. It is now mentioned, with endless stress to Freyja, the extremity of the mistake made here, with all given hindsight. Freyja confronted Astrid in the Stormlands, and the younger, now 18, was unwilling to budge. It came to blows, as Astrid challenged her mother directly in head-to-head combat the way she had so many in the Hjaðningavíg. However, unlike the heroes of legend she faces, Freyja, even severely weakened as she was, kept up with the healthy rising deity in close arms, and even began to take advantage in the situation.

Before Freyja could use the foolish arrogance of her daughter to end the contest, Astrid darted away, into the mists of the rising ferocity of the Stormlands. Unfortunate for Freyja, though, she did not run. An endless stream of arrows came from infront, from above, from behind, and from each every side, as the Elder Goddess struggled to keep up against an endless string of ambushes. In the Stormlands, you could only see if Astrid wanted you to, only hear if Astrid desired for you to, only sense if Astrid wished for you to. With her senses gone, the onslaught prevailed.

Freyja was narrowly saved by the entrance of her companions, and by defectors who had watched from the mists who drug her from the Stormlands. The sounds of battle continued as they grew distant, and none would return to Freyja's side.

Ten days later, after the elder goddess had made request of their assistance, a half dozen gods and their hunting parties descended upon the Stormlands of Fólkvangr to take the rebellious Goddess by force. The hunt continued for a week straight, and though the many youth who had followed Astrid surrendered quietly, Astrid herself, emboldened by victory over Freyja, refused to yield, and ensured there was never a moment of quiet among the hunters. At last, she was cornered and surrounded, but true to her endless tirades on cowards and honor in battle, Astrid refused to surrender, and was finally pacified through force of arms and taken alive - as Freyja had wanted.

Upon return to Freyja in her hall, the gods present agreed on the fate of Astrid. She could not remain unwatched and unguarded, nor could she be permitted to spread her violent ideations of new wars among the gods. It was clear, though stopped before a full escalation, this situation would need spoken to about with the other pantheons, for Astrid may not be the only one in the heavens. One day, they would find a solution of course, for the young godlings.

This, however, was still two years away, and not known to Astrid or her captors. Until then, Astrid was cast into Niflheim, imprisoned by barbed chains made special just to tame the ravenous predator she had become, where the cold and slicing teeth have left many scars across her. The hope was that this alone may break her of her rebellion, however, throughout it all, Astrid remained as confidently unshaken as ever. To her, that an elder goddess like Freyja nearly died to her, and that a party containing a half dozen Deities of their own right was sent to take her, was all the proof she could ever have dreamed, to prove herself right.

Two years in Niflheim she was chained, two years of endless cold, of endless thought, of endless loneliness, of endless bleeding and suffering. Two years, until the icy gates finally opened. The cowards were to set her free. They did not frame it as such, a school was not freedom but to her, a different kind of prison, or so they weakly insisted.

Nonetheless, she is forbidden to return until graduating, and school soon begins...

Name: Aemilia
Gender: F
Age: 19
Appearance: Pictured: Aemilia to the left, and very nervous and terrified friend Claudia who got roped into Legionary shenanigans Added 05/13/2023: Annihilation Dominant, Rebirth Dominant
Personality: Aemilia is a very jovial soul, many of her home even insist upon the word "Enlightened" despite her youth. A radiant charisma and confidence is all around her, and almost always she wears a smile or smirk, or is simply just laughing. She seems almost carefree, but shows incredible depth and understanding when the time for laughter and feasts has ended. Feasts, and festivals, her favorite parts of her favorite thing to study and talk about - Anthropology, particularly, cultural anthropology! Warning: may jump around a bit in conversation due to parallel processing.
Pantheon: Roman
Divine Parent(s): Janus, Minerva
Domains: Destruction, Rebirth, Wisdom
Abilities:
Destruction: Aemilia wields power over... Destruction itself. Spontaneous explosions, Anti-energy manipulation, and Destructive energy manipulation. These energies can be sensed, infused into objects, used in an aura, used in attacks directly or to enhance them, as well as constructs out of destructive energy, most specifically... copies of herself! Which she totally, definitely, does not ever use to make her own little cohort. Never. Not once. That would just be silly. Probably.

Rebirth: The power of Rebirth applies not only to life, but as with Destruction, to concepts and ideas as well. Just as light could be destroyed, it can be reborn. As the forest is annihilated, it too shall have a Rebirth. Life-force manipulation is the core of this, with its soothing healing, and ability to sense life itself, to empower it and convert it, and, of course, to make more copies of herself! No, she doesn't use them to form a legionary cohort, stop being ridiculous! You can't make a cohort out of 5 temporary constructs a day. Life-Force, too, can be used to attack, if one were so inclined, working much like Destruction does but it makes flowers and stuff appear instead of ashes and desolation!

Enlightened Wisdom: Youth has not stopped the young Goddess from her Enlightenment. Her mind is calm, and perfectly balanced internally. She knows when lies are told... Usually (emotional intelligence seems to correlate to defense, and some things are so high they're unreadable!), and can vaguely sense the general direction of truth, though its full uncovering yet evades her. Illusions are of minimal use against her, and her love of dealing with people has made her exceptionally skilled at using psychology and her own sense of balance and enlightenment to gently guide others toward epiphany. She has a tendency to be a bit "jumpy" however, as the parallel processing she partakes in to advance her quest for knowledge and learning will result in suddenly switching tracks without warning.

Classes: Power management/Diplo, Gym, Magic, Crafting, Humanities and Artistic Expression
Background: Born to tow divine parents, the very nature of Duality and Wisdom would seem to have been a mere inevitably for Aemilia. In the sprawling Plains of Elysium she grew up, all around her was family. Not merely her parents, nor even the other gods, but even the community of the ascended mortals themselves became indistinguishable to her.

Her journey began very young, when upon one summers morning, the denizens of the fields awoke to a massive plane of desolation, just off in the near distance. Among a field, now of destitution and ash, remained a single entity, she had fallen to her knees and cried many tears. Her family, all her family, all the souls of the mortal watched, unsure of what to do. One man, though, stepped calmly forward to console her, and told the girl of the unavoidable cycle of life and death, of Destruction and Rebirth. Slowly, an end approached to her tears, and she nodded solemnly. As the people returned to their lives, Aemilia remained in her spot the whole day, in silent contemplation.

The next morning, when Elysium woke once more, desolation had left their world. In it's place now, was a new and thriving grove of trees and streams, among a vast and renewed field of wheats taller than any had ever laid eyes upon. There still sat Aemilia, now under the trees, as the common people gathered. She explained to them, but in particular to the man from the day prior, what had happened. Such a small thing, simple trip over a rock, she had scraped her knee, and for just a moment her anger flashed... in that moment, death overtook all around her.

So she remained in the fields after their talk, and she came to think; if her anger could bring Destruction, could her love and care bring Rebirth? And so returned the fields, and so sprouted the trees, and ran the streams. It was all so simple, or so it was now, yet she could not shake the uneasy feeling, the feeling of knowing it was unavoidable destiny to destroy all which she made, all which she loved, all in which she saw beauty.

For that day, and for many after it, the wise man would join her under the trees, to talk of many things, both great and small. As days became weeks, and weeks became months, the grove continued to grow, and more and more people would find themselves basking in its majesty, from festivals and feasts, to quiet nights with the skies above. Years would go by, and the young Aemilia would slowly come to terms with the paradoxical feeling of being both the Beginning, and the End.

Soon a decade had passed, and the great tree, the largest of them all which sat principle among the grove, had begun to wilt and die. Though it was young, disease had taken to its roots. On the day of the new year's passing, the End of one cycle, to the Beginning of another, Aemilia would decline to heal the tree, knowing well that she could. It was not her place to meddle needlessly in the world and nature, she was meant merely to guide it, to observe it, to ensure the cycle of Destruction and Rebirth ebbed and flowed seamlessly across time. With a gentle hand against it's trunk, she laid it forever to rest, with all the goodbyes and well wishes reserved for a close friend. In its final throes fell a seed, and in it's wake the seed was planted, and with a graceful brush of the soil over its top, did it begin to grow once more.

The war in Heaven ended that year, and but a mere two later, when the subject came of the treaty and its binds, it was put upon the Romans to send one of their own to a new domain among the gods. A hall not merely for learning, but for the creation of unity and harmony between Pantheons. For this, it was thought, there could be only correct choice... and indeed, she was all too happy to volunteer, to leave a world of knowledge among books, to a world of knowledge through life - the way it was meant to be.

Name: Lanuru
Gender: Male
Age: Physically in his 20s, relatively in the same societal age for his kind
Appearance:
Physical Form
Another Physical Form
True Form in the Dreamlands
Draconic Form
Personality: Lanuru is a polite young man as tutored in the ways of the Court. He is prone to acts of scathing honesty, and he is rather derisive of mortals and citing them as playthings and dinner for their delicious dreams. However he can be fiercely protective and loyal, but he is a bit distant until he warms up to people he chooses to be.
Pantheon: The Tuatha Dé Danann, the Unseelie Court
Divine Parent: Mab, the Queen of Air and Darkness
Domain: Dreams and Nightmares, the New Moon, Eclipses
Abilities:
  • Prince of the Dreamlands: Most of Lanuru's powers come from his domain over dreams, both the fantastical and horrific aspects. He can shape fantasy and horror within the Dreamlands, casting mortals into labyrinthe enchantments and terrible nightmares.
  • Eclipsing New Moon: Lanuru draws power from the New Moon phase, and the occurences of eclipses. His power over dreams and nightmares grow considerably during these periods, but his capacity to herald such celestial phenomena is still within development. This apparent connection allows him to command and direct the powers of shadow and moonlight to a certain extent. However, this same connection weakens him during daylight and puts him in a lethargic state that can only be countered during nightfall or be lessened by a retreat to either Tír na nÓg or the Dreamlands.
  • Enchantments of the Aos Si: The Fae and their divine nobility are known to have the magic to bless and curse mortals, and exert control over the natural world. Lanuru's magics draw into the wilder and grimmer aspects such as thorny brambles and twisted dark woods, and is more proficient with curses than with blessings.
Classes:
Main Classes: Power Management, Gym, Diplomacy, Magic
Electives: Stargazing, Artistic Expression
Background:
The Tuatha Dé Danann were once the olden gods of Albion, the lands of Great Britain and the rest of its isles. They were alien gods, residing within an otherworld they call the Tír na nÓg as its realms and occupants are everlasting and time flows differently from that of Earth's. They were deities of great beauty and splendor, born from ideals of fantasy and aesthetics, who cross the boundaries between their world and those of mortals to find enjoyment and merriment. But they were also deities of great malice and scorned hearts; breaking oaths or offending one of the Tuatha Dé Danann or their lesser servants bring ill fortunes upon their heads. They ruled the isles with both delight and cruelty, until new religions came from overseas. The Fair Folk retreated with their royal gods back to their lands of immortality, forgotten as gods but feared for their power.

The pantheon of great gods that rule the otherworld of joy and fortune are split between two Courts: the Seelie and Unseelie Courts. Mortals see the Court of the Seelie as the "good" folk, while the Unseelie as the "bad" folk. The Courts of the Tuatha Dé Danann are less distinctions of morality and more of allegiance to two Elder Goddesses and rival sisters: Queen Titania of the Seelie and Queen Mab of the Unseelie. They partitioned their lands between the seasons as Titania ruled Spring and Summer as goddess, and Mab ruling the less joyous seasons of Autumn and Winter. The spat between the two Courts are simply the bitter rivalry of two bitter sisters, and for the royal deities and their lesser servants it is the entertainment of eternity within their eternal lands.

Lanuru was born to the Queen of Air and Darkness, his father unknown but whispered to be born from the dreams of the Unseelie Queen. Perhaps her courtiers took his inheritance of her providence over dreams to be of such nature. Lanuru was crowned Prince of the Unseelie Fae once the Queen has presented him before her court of Tuatha Dé Danann and her Aos Si citizens. Tensions between the two Courts continue to ignite at that moment as the Unseelie now had a godly prince to rule over the Dreamlands and challenge the Seelie's monopoly of its glamours of fantasy. The true conflict and war between the two Courts arose when the Great War in Heaven began. The two Courts have been displeased by mortal innovation for centuries, their technologies and steel forested cities disgust them as the wildnerness were cut down for new concrete mazes. It was the Unseelie who struck first, riding out from the Lands of Eternal Youth in their steeds of smoke and snow. The Seelie strode forth in a "noble cause" to stop the Unseelie Host, but it was simply a desire not to be outdone by their brethren.

The Lands of Albion were struck by the full force of their Old Gods' wrath, and their Fae minions galloped not far behind. The climate raged visibly as exagerrated expressions of the seasons fought in the Heavens, burning Summer and deathly Winter bringing cities to ruin as suffocating Spring and rotting Autumn followed closely. Plagues, beasts of legend, and horrifying nightmares swept the lands as the two Courts battled. This conflict would spread beyond the sea as the other wars touch upon theirs. At times the courts would fight each other, at times they'd unify as one great host, but the Fair Folk brought misfortune and calamity with their battles until the war was over.

The Queen of Air and Darkness was exhausted from the ordeal; so too is her sister. They both retreated back to their Courts, their gods tired and weary and their servants fallen and in tatters. When the draft of the peace agreements were brought to the Queen's throne, the Unseelie Court made a decision. For the sake of having a foothold upon Albion once again, they will send their Prince as ward and student to this new divine establishment. He will be a hostage in all but name, but the profits would be a slice of their former kingdoms in the mortal world.

Name: Azcóatl (Short name: Az)
Gender: Male
Age: 19
Appearance:

Personality: Azcóatl is known for his calm and peaceful way of handling ways, despite being the son of one of the most venerated gods of its pantheon, and most importantly, he lives a humble life to find the true meaning of inner peace. He is patient with those around him but is very distant lacking social skills of his own making him a very shy person and a more introverted being.
Pantheon: Aztec
Divine Parent(s): Coatlicue, Tlaloc
Domain: Thunder, Water, and Nature
Abilities:
Lighting Strike: As a gift from his father he was given the power to control the lighting of a storm and use it to take down a big line of enemies close to the lighting, it can be really powerful depending on the user. The downside to it is that there needs to be at least one cloud above the user of this power in order to work, otherwise the ability won't work

Diluvio: Rain is important for the crops to grow and feed an entire village, but a little too much might do a lot of harm. The ability would create clouds above the enemy in front and let it rain a deluge with freezing water that will freeze you if you are exposed for a long time to it, strong winds that push the enemy to a considerable distance, only used for self-defense or to escape a really powerful enemy. The downside is that the user needs to stay hydrated to use it, you can't make it rain if you are a desert yourself

Healing Flowers: Thanks to her mother, he was given the ability to spawn flowers around the user or any ally, that will illuminate the user, or ally and will slowly heal its wounds. Depending on the mastering of the ability, the healing will be faster and can cure even the worst diseases or wounds. The downside is that it uses a lot of vital energy of the user, and its side effects are feeling tired and exhausted, and what does the body do when tired and exhausted? Sleep, though its side effects can be reduced depending on how much the user masters this ability

Power of Nature: Az doesn't get angry too often, and it is very rare that he does, legend says that one day he was so angry he awoken a new ability. The power of thunder, water, and nature would start to flow around the user and combine them into one single-shot beam that destroyed everything in its path. Depending on the mastering of it, the power of the ability is, and the downside is that not only is it a one-time-use ability, but the user also needs to be angry enough to activate the skill. The refreshing of the ability makes it used only once after a month.

Background:

The War of the gods was devastating and horrifying for Az, who believed that problems should be solved with words instead of fighting, but due to being young at the time he was not taken seriously and the result of it became clear with many innocent lives being lost in the process. So when the idea about making a school to unite the new generations and bring peace for the future to come, he was quite excited and his mother would let him assist for as long as he could bring every pantheon together but also advise him to be careful, who knows what type of dangers a teenager like him would get him into. Aside from all that he was ready to meet new people! And looking forward to this experience.

Name: Bozhidar Stirbogovitch Perkunov, Affectionately known as "Boris"
Gender: Male
Age: In his Late teens/Early Twenties Chronologically speaking, he's just over a century and some change old.
Appearance: With ruddy red hair and gleaming eyes, Bozhidar exudes sunnyness and a lively confidence. He seems most comfortable in a human form, an unassuming gopnik-adidas tracksuit, flat-cap and all.

His “divine form” is that of a falling, orichalcum-coloured star, as if a comet burning up had been granted legs, arms, and something vaguely resembling a head. Being a relatively young deity, he hasn’t quite gotten an adequate form. Due to his rather dramatic birth (see below), he is often associated with auroras, supernovas, and starlight. His Grandmother, the Slavic Goddess of Fate, deems his form "a blessed and good-omened star".
Personality: Mercurial, merciful, extroverted and unabashedly humanophilic, Bozhidar seemingly inverts the stereotypes of the dour Slavs. While inept and perhaps outdated in terms of information and social cues, he nevertheless flings himself into social situations with a zeal unseen by even the most gregarious of jocks. Preferring conversation over conflict, he tries to mediate as best he can, but he can be impulsive-especially when there’s an opportunity to throw a party, or a prank, or both! His rare anger will arise when someone threatens to hurt humans or besmirches his country despite his own xenophilia, and he shrinks to a quiet candle-flame whenever approached by the chthonic. Like many deities, his moods are changeable, but he seems for the most part to be more positive minded than surly.
Pantheon: Slavic Pantheon
Divine Parent(s):
Stribog the Slavic God of the Winds
Zvezda, Personification of the Morning Star, or the Planet Venus
Domain: Commerce, Health, Revelry and eventually Technology
Abilities:
Intuition - Being the scion of the God of the Winds and the Morning Star, Bozhidar has an innate knack for finding things out. Be it in terms of directions, locating items, or empathically picking up cues (something he relies on heavily in this strange new environment).
Photokenisis - Being associated with the morning star and grandson of the Sun-God, he is able to rip forth powerful blasts of light. This is his main form of damage.
Aerokenisis - The wind flows effortlessly in his hands, and he utilizes it as a stopgap telekenisis. This also enables him to fly.
Food Conjuration - Whenever needed, he is seemingly able to create an appropriate meal out of anything-even thin air.
Enhanced Physique - As expected of a being of divine nature, he is able to excel leaps and bounds above what can be considered superhuman.
Enhanced Hearing/Whisper on the Wind - Similar to intuition, but auditory. While exaggerated, it’s not implausible for Bozhidor to utilize the words spoken by the living and the dead to piece together what happened.
Fortunate Warding: Befitting a deity of hospitality, any area he deems "under his care" is considered protected, and hallowed.

Background:
Though with the waning days of the 19th century, the rise of interest in folkish practices was on the rise amidst the Slavic lands, though this was mostly a quiet affair-with the turn of the twentieth however, the birth of Gods is seldom a quiet thing. Afterwards, he was taken to the Island of Bunyan, the dwelling place of mighty Dhazbog, his god of the Sun and his grandfather, as well as the unofficial meeting place of the Slavic Gods. There, with the tutelage of his fellow deities and his grandmother Dola, Mistress of the Fates, he learned and was sheltered from the changing conditions of the world far below.

The twentieth century very much shaped the development of Bozhidar. The tumultuous nature of the times and the dramatic changes occurring impressed themselves on him, even so far and away from mortal lands. In his infancy, he cried not merely because of hunger, but on behalf of mortalkind. Because of this, in 1944 he departed to Belovodye, the idyllic land of the dead and realm of Svarog Rodovich Godsire, his great grandfather. Under the firstborn deity of the Slavic myth, Bozhidar dedicated himself to the betterment of mortals, peering over the edge of the cosmic firmament back unto the Earth to espy inspiration and knowledge. Early on in his apprenticeship, the Chernobyl Nuclear Facility underwent a nuclear meltdown, and his heart broke, before reforging itself under a dread vow to defend humanity. This reckless love and pity for mortalkind would eventually be Bozhidar’s undoing.

The late 1970s and early 80s brought the New Age to the USSR, where the preteen deity would be enthralled by tales of other lands beyond the Iron Curtain, and having desired to devour seemingly all information regarding them. During this time, he would eventually be moved to Iriy, the land of his paternal grandparents Perun and Zorya-God of thunder and Goddess of the daylight sky respectively, the very edge of the divine world where all souls must travel to. Here he assisted his grandmother, the Fates, in hearing what she no doubt already knew, and burgoing his own powers as a lord of the crossroads and spoken words, helping bring merriment in the lands of his youth in Belovodye. But Veles Chernebog, the old dragon and arch-nemesis of the gods, had not been idle these long years. He watched and waited, sending spirits, spies, and snoops to gauge the godling’s nature, concocting a plan to enwrap the young deity’s impressionable nature. Bozhidar was a sire of Perun, and his impulsive pride rose with every tale of woe befalling humans.

Shortly after the Iron Curtain fell in 1992, the young lad leapt at the chance to explore and see the world-but once more rebuked by his guardians, attempting to satiate his curiosity through books, media, news, and keeping him in Iriy for as long as possible. The renaissance of folk beliefs in the former Soviet bloc had brought tales of other deities like Ramha, Vyshen and Kryshen that enamored him even further, and perhaps inspired by both their deeds (and the machinations of Veles) he vowed to prove his guardians wrong and take his place as a deity of renown. He began to hatch his own plans, and prepare.

In 2013 Bozhidar enacted his plan to sneak into the underworld of Nav, hiding his presence under an oncoming asteroid, there he would wait a handful of months before departing when Yarilo made his yearly departure into the underworld. He was early by sixteen whole hours, and the trap would be sprung. Veles would coil and keep the hapless deity for eight whole years since Perun couldn’t barge in and rescue him since he went willingly into the realm of Nav. It would not be until an operation during the Year of Nature’s Fury that Veles’ hold over Bozhidar would be broken, and a begrudging debt owed to select members of differing pantheons by the Belebozhi.

During this time, Veles would pour chthonic knowledge into the impressionable godling’s ear, teaching him the ways of bardic magic, the use of kine and coin, having noted with envy a kindred spirit in Bozhidar, and sought to bring him over to his side as he had brought Niya, the son of Yarilo and Morana under his domain. While Bozhidar emerged unscathed, he was not unshaken, for all of the knowledge gained by Veles’ teachings, he was still repentant and begged forgiveness from his peers. He was welcomed back into his family, though everything had changed. Perhaps it was time for someone to be sent to study with their fellow peers, since the War had made many strange allies and enemies alike.

My horrible affronts to God

Postby Hallownest Eternal » Mon May 16, 2022 5:42 pm

Name: Yet to choose one for themselves, referred to externally as "The Factory", " The Titan", and "The New God"
Gender: Non-binary/undecided, pronouns We/They
Age: 2 years, born at the height of the War.
Appearance: In basal form, an armored humanoid comprised of Telluric Iron(pure, unalloyed Iron, basically), with a molten light peering through the seams where plates and joints meet. Beyond that, their appearance is wildly fluid, but their initial form(and often considered a "true form"), was a massive, crawling mass of industrial machinery and weapons, with vaguely skeletal features-a massive ribcage running along most of its length, etc.
Personality: The Factory is closed off, reserved, restrained. yet undeniably...sad. Beneath an exterior of uncaring metal lies a spirit bound by the tragedy of its conception, born of pain and fear, yet rather than seeking to spread that fear...prevent it. Gentle, hesitant compassion, and an urge to understand itself and what place it possesses in this world. As it was born from the pain of Humanity, The Factory considers Humanity to be its people, not the Gods, and strives to protect and be able to stand for them at all cost to itself. On the other, it views the Old Gods with a somewhat scornful eye, for letting petty disputes and bitterness cause such suffering and pain. Yet, for now, the fellow New Gods walk the middle road, as it is evident that all of them are at this place of learning to be better than the mistakes of their forebears-but the Factory knows not if they are to be trusted, or turned away.
Pantheon: None.
Divine Parent(s): None. The Factory was born from the collective suffering of Humanity, and the unwavering resolve of Humanity's armies during the War.
Domain: Technology, Industry, Humanity
Abilities: The Factory is capable of modifying its physiology through the creation, manipulation, and attachment of various forms of hardware and material, and is also capable of assimilating external matter into its mass.
Classes:
-History
-Power Management
-Creation/Crafting
-Science/Alchemy

-Humanities
-Artistic Expression
Background:
Few truly comprehend Humanity's suffering in the time of the War in Heaven. Although many understand-untold millions died, entire cities and nations swept away in calamitous events-few truly comprehend the sheer volume of life lost.

But Humanity remembers. For many, faith in the Gods entirely was shattered by their War-so callous were they, to sweep aside Humanity for their own petty games of dominance. Perhaps that is why Humanity ceased to worship so long ago, lost to the ideals of all-knowing, singular Gods of unlimited benevolence, or even further, to the idea that no Gods truly existed at all. But some Gods are born of human ideals-the Hearth, the Arts, War-and it would be no different for the shattered Humans at the War's peak.

At first, it was thought to be a human weapon. Drones, walking tanks, steel soldiers-wherever beasts unleashed in the War were found, the army of steel would appear soon after like some demented mockery of the Wild Hunt, killing or driving off the monsters. But then they were spotted helping the humans independently-Great flying ships manifesting from thin air and evacuating civilians from drowning cities, armies of artillery batteries raining fire-retardant gel into the path of raging wildfires, hulking machines burrowing beneath the earth to grant shelter from category 10 hurricanes.

And then the New God revealed itself.

At first it was thought to just be a Factory. But it was not. A Hulking, vaguely human mass of machinery and weaponry, pulling itself between a charging army of the night and the ragged remnants of a dozen armies. It threw a titanic, steel-skulled head to the sky and let out a cry. Not of anger, not of challenge or victory or fear

A Cry of unending, burning, wrenching pain.

In the darkest hour of Humanity, the Humans had found a savior. The Factory, The Titan, The New God-the God of Technology, the God of Industry, the God of Humanity.

The Factory had been born too late to help all of Humanity, but it embarked on saving the ones it could with nigh fanaticism. Great earthmoving machines sundered the Earth, forcing the raging seas back to within their shores and creating great barriers against whatever monsters appeared. Legions of machines hunted down rogue parties of monsters and spirits and drove them away from human settlements, while great caravans journeyed across the planet, seeking and providing aid to smaller human communities.

With the war's end, the more diplomatic Gods would approach The Factory, and convinced it to calm from its previous hostile footing and to join the other New Gods at a place called Holy High. Acquiescing, The Factory-who, to the shock of those that communicated it, was little more than a child-took on a form closer to that of its creators(well, as close as it could get) and went forth to Holy High, where it would attempt to understand the nature of its people and itself, and see what it could become.

Name: Unknown, goes by...many, Aliases.
Gender: Unknown
Age: Time is relative in the realm of Tartarus, and the void beyond it. However, it has existed within consistent timeflow for roughly 18 human years.
Appearance: It is formless in appearance, possibly. The nature of The Forgotten actively obfuscates attempts at perceiving its true form, leaving most to discern it merely as a shadow. Defining/Semi-constant features include: Antlers, Branches, Leaves, Wings, Scales, Claws, And Eyes
Personality: The God is a reserved, quiet being, preferring to observe benignly from a distance rather than actually interact, as per its nature. That being said, it is a rather pleasant presence to be around, with a possible passion for singing and storytelling.
Pantheon: Greek
Divine Parent(s): Tartarus, the River Lethe, Adopted by Gaia.
Domain: Superstition, Forgotten Things, Hidden Things
Abilities:
Information Manipulation: The Cryptid is capable of manipulating information in any format. This primarily manifests as a passive effect that causes beings observing it to be incapable of perceiving its true form, as the memories and sensory input are "consumed" as rapidly as they are generated. This extends into a passive ability to "consume" information around it, absorbing knowledge at the cost of obfuscating the medium it draws from. Books wear down and become hard to read, memories fog over, stone tablets erode, etc. If it were to be channeled as an active effort, it is likely that Secrets could become devastatingly powerful, but such endeavors have failed and severely drained it in the past. With proper training, though, this ability could grow incredibly useful.
Classes:
History, Power Management, Magic, Gym, Humanities, and Stargazing
Background:
The Creature was born of a festering wound. The waters of the River Lethe overflowing, the groundwater slowly seeping through bedrock and magma to come to rest in the void bounding Tartarus, the prison of the Titans. There, the amnesiac waters and unknowable void interacted, mingling and combining over an unknowable timespan as the presence within festered, feeding on forgotten memories, hidden truths, and the madness of the imprisoned, mutilated Titans.

During the War, the Titans attempted to escape their prison, shattering the barriers between Tartarus and the greater realms. Here The Keeper was able to metamorphose and escape, slipping quietly through a fissure in the barrier and finding itself in a much greater place. Within this wider plane, It eventually encountered Gaia, the primordial embodiment of The Earth, who recognized it as a child of Tartarus and took it in. Hiding its presence from Gods that may seek to weaponize its properties, she nurtured its ravenous appetite by feeding it stories and ancient wisdom, and even briefly let it wander the earth at times-until the war subsided, through some...very, old strings to be pulled upon, Gaia arranged for Blank to attend the new "Holy High", to help curb the strange godling's appetite and learn to channel it into new forms.
The Last and Only Civilization, an Eternal Kingdom at the edge of the World.
A Land where no mask is to be borne, a land where all beings may walk in equal stature.
Welcome, Traveler, to Hallownest.

Name: Illari / Killari
Gender: Female
Age: 21
Appearance:
Image

Personality: Illari/Killari suffers from DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder) whenever the sun rises or sets, making her personality shift between Illari and Killari, while Illari is very outgoing and very friendly with everyone, Killari is more quiet and resentful being the most problematic. Illari is present when the Sun rises and Killari is present when the Moon rises.
Pantheon: Incan
Divine Parent(s): Mamaquilla, Inti
Domain: Fire, Earth, Water, Necromancy
Abilities:
Illari:

Arrow Rain: Illari has the power of her father the Sun, she has the ability to create a bow and arrows of pure fire, and the user gets the ability to make it rain arrows of fire to the enemies, perfect for attacks from distance. The downside of it is that it only works for long distances, if the enemy is close enough to the user they could easily disarm them plus using the arrow requires a very good eye and practice to become a sharpshooter, plus a little bit of close combat training in case the situation requires it.

Earth Wall: Illari's uncle Pachamac before getting DID, gifted her the ability to control the Earth being able to make walls as shields and move them around as she pleases, though because it is mostly a defensive ability it is not effective to hurt anyone unless you squish them between two walls but because the movement of the walls is slow you will have to knock out the enemy first, plus the ability requires a lot of concentration and energy to be able to use it properly.

Killari:

Octopus: Killari had a very cool affinity with water, she would sometimes explore the waters and investigate more about them, she later discovered the octopus and she tried to imitate the having the tentacles of the octopus. The ability provides the user with tentacles of water, able to grab things, and used mostly for attacks rather than defense, which makes it useless to defend the user, plus the user is limited to use whatever water they have on its surroundings, making the ability useless in a desert for example where there is no water.

Undead Trio: Killari used to be alone most of the night since everyone was either asleep or ignoring her existence, so she found company with the bones of the deceased. The user is provided with the ability to summon skeleton guardians that will fight alongside the user, depending of the ability of the user is the power of the weapons and the armor they carry, but as the name says the user is only able to summon three and once the ability is used you cannot summon another three even if the guardians are destroyed, the user has to wait a week or two to summon another three, the duration of the ability is limited for one day or when the user puts the skeletons back to sleep.

Classes:
Diplomacy/Power Management
PE
Magic
Art
Stargazing
Dance

Background:

Illari/Killari is the child of both the sun and the moon, being the child of the Sun and the Moon she had high expectations to become the strongest god of the Incan Pantheon, her training was very harsh and went to extremes that there was a point where she developed DID at a very young age. Illari kept the abilities of Fire and Earth while Killari kept the abilities of Water and Necromancy both personalities are aware of each other and both fight between each other to discover who is the alter, and that is why no one knows which is the real personality and which is the alter, and because of her disorder, she was treated as if she never existed during quite a long time, until now. During the War of the Gods, she was hidden by her pantheon, and later with the proposal of Holy High her own pantheon thought this was an opportunity to use her as a pawn for their own survival, they have notified the teachers about her disorder so they could help with her disorder liberating them from that responsibility.

Here's my revised application. I slightly changed her background, and added some more information about her abilities. Hope this works! :)
Name: Cepha
Gender: Female
Age: Late Teens/Early 20s (physically)
Appearance: She has a tall, muscular build, with strong, well defined features. She has short, fluffy dark hair and warm gray skin, with gold ore-like veins running across her body. She wears simple, earth toned robes and sandals.
Personality: Cepha is amiable and down-to-earth, placing more value on personal connections rather than titles or status. Ever the optimist, she tries to see the good in everyone, giving others the benefit of the doubt. If you ever need someone to lend a hand, Cepha’s your gal.
Pantheon: Greek
Divine Parent(s): The Ourea, adopted by Gaia
Domain: Mountains, Earth, Stone
Abilities:
For a deity descended from primordials, Cepha’s abilities are…shall we say, a bit underwhelming. That’s not to say that she is lacking in inherent power; it just so happens that she hasn’t used her abilities often, nor has she used them to their full extent. Here are some examples of her abilities:

Earth/Stone Manipulation: She can shape and manipulate earth and other “earth-adjacent” elements (i.e. clay, sand), using them to form basic shapes, simple structures, and projectiles. Creating said elements from thin air, or transforming them from one type to another, is something that she struggles with, with one exception:

Gem Manipulation: Theoretically, this could mean creating long, thin gem spikes or clusters of gem shards that could be used as weapons, or synthesizing masterful gems of an impressive size and quality. In practice, she’s only really used it in the past to create small cabochons as gifts.

Terrain Alteration: Cepha can alter the shape of certain terrain, making it easier (or more difficult) to pass through. This ability also encompasses actions such as sending short tremors through the ground.

Enhanced Strength: Probably the ability she uses most frequently, Cepha has impressive physical strength. Need to move some furniture? Cepha’s got you covered. This, combined with her impressive endurance, makes her a force to be reckoned with.
Enhanced Resilience: She’s a rock. You could probably throw her off a cliff, and she'll only be slightly inconvenienced, albeit confused.

Classes: History, Fighting, Creation/Crafting, Magic (main); Humanities and Artistic Expression (electives)
Background:
The Great War in Heaven was devastating. Even the Ourea, sons of Gaea, the great mountain Gods and pillars of divine strength, were not spared from the conflict. Many were killed, their mountainous bodies shattered and soaked in blood and ichor.

From this unholy mixture, Cepha was born. Emerging from deep within the earth mere days after the war’s end, she was lucky enough to have escaped the worst of the fighting. Wandering a nearly godless surface, she found inspiration in the ones who were affected by the war the most: humans.

Despite everything they had gone through, humanity remained as resilient as ever. They rebuilt their communities, keeping their cultures and spirit alive with songs and stories. Cepha moved from place to place, rebuilding towns and living alongside humans.

It didn't take long for her to be discovered by Gaia. The Primordial recognized Cepha, taking her under her wing and teaching her all about her family's, shall we say, interesting legacy. But stories of the Titans and the Giants held little interest for the young Godling. In Gaia's mind, Cepha has yet to understand her place in the cosmos and fully embrace her family's legacy. But Gaia is patient, and family sticks together.

Additional Info:
•Cepha has an affinity for music, especially stringed instruments. Her personal favorite is the Cithara.
•Cepha has a pet mole named Alexandros, but she usually refers to him as "little guy" or "little buddy".

Name: Abaguabana (Ah-Bah-Gwah-Bah-Nah, The Great Sea)
Gender: Male
Age: Age is 130, but appears in his early 20s.
Appearance: Abaguabana takes the appearance of a rather tall individual of indigenous appearance; his skin is a somewhat brownish-tan color, tanned by what would otherwise be decades of living under the Caribbean sun, and his hair is long, smooth, and black. He wears his hair in a tied together ponytail style, rhesus macaque fur used to bind his hair together on the back of his head, and he has a notable lack of facial hair. He stands at a total of 6 feet, and 5 inches, and his physique is not particularly outstanding, but it is nothing short of healthy, either. He is well-muscled and toned, but by looking at him, you would guess that he wouldn't have been much of a dedicated sports player with the lack of weight and size within his muscles. His upper body is covered in symbolic, ritualistic white tattoos, starting at his wrists, and continuing down a sleeve-style pattern, over his pecs, down his abdomen, to his waist, and these tattoos are symbolic depictions of the Guey, the Kachi, the Coqui frog, the animals of the ocean and the winds and currents, and other such depictions of his station. Over his eyes is a single, red visor-like tattoo stretching from the corner of his eyes to the bridge of his nose. When fueled by the powers of Juracan as Abaguabana the Storm, he takes the appearance of a much larger, blue, naga-like individual. His fins become more pronounced, his back grows a pair of wings and spines, and his head grows various large fins as well, while his eyes change from that of a near-draconic look, to that of a cuttlefish.

His "divine form" takes the form of an extremely large blue whale-like creature, several feet large, and dwarfing even the largest natural blue whales themselves. This whale form is made of what seems to be cobbled together ocean stones bound together through wet sand, with the ocean waters bounded to his form and flowing over and through his body, his white tattoos enlargening and covering his body, though now colored blue and glowing like blue, flowing power over his now-stone skin. While Abaguabana prefers this form, as it is his "natural" form and was once the form he spent the most time in, it is difficult to utilize on land and thus, he simply retains his human form instead.

Personality: Abaguabana is a rather passive person, avoiding arguments and simply going where the wind takes him. This is not to say he is quiet, however; Abaguabana is quite friendly, and enjoys interacting with others, and he puts particular care and effort in not making any "enemies" of his. Centuries of feuding with his siblings has left Abaguabana with a rather dry and sarcastic sense of wit, and this tends to come out most whenever insulted or faced with a situation that's either embarrassing, confusing, or amusing. Despite his wit, and his rather gregarious outlook towards other deities, Abaguabana doesn't particularly put much value in romance, finding it awkward and confusing, and any sense of romantic interest directed towards him causes him to "freeze" and struggle putting words together.

Abaguabana loves to learn; had he more time, he would absolutely spend that time learning what he can of topics he does not know, technologies he does not understand, and magics he has yet to answer. He finds other deities particularly interesting for their pantheons. Abaguabana is not a particular fan of fighting, and even when forced to confront people, he will never enjoy it. This is not to say he will back down, or that his temper is infinite - his mother and his siblings are gods of hurricanes, destruction, and chaos, and while far, far more patient than they are, he still possesses a limited temper that can be broken if his patience is tried, and tried, and tried again. Despite the rage that he is capable of, Abaguabana is a notably empathetic person; his experience holding one of the three parts of Juracan has left Abaguabana with a rather thorough understanding of turmoil and conflict, though his empathy is not endless, and when angered, Abaguabana can be notably petty towards the subject of his wrath.

Pantheon: Taíno
Divine Parent(s): Guabancex, Cacique of the Winds and Weather (Mother)
Yúcahu, Sky Spirit of Masculine Fertility and Chief of the Gods (Grandfather)
Domain:
Fishing, good harvest, the sea, rain, ocean animals, whales, and water as Abaguabana the Sea
Tsunamis and floods as Abaguabana the Storm
Winds, lightning, and thunder as one of the three Hurricane Deities
Destruction, disorder, and chaos as Juracán
Abilities: (Aguamobagua, the Sea Trumpet)
Shapeshifting
As the God of the Sea, Abaguabana lays dominion over the ocean and all its creatures. Oceanic animals, ranging from the great such as whales, to even minor animals such as crabs, worms, and anemones, are all within Abaguabana's repertoire. He is incapable of shapeshifting into animals that primarily spend their time on land, but certain marine animals, such as iguanas, turtles, and frogs, are all fair game for him as well. It takes a fair bit of concentration and time for him to shapeshift within his own power, but using his spear as a focus, he's capable of doing it quite quickly, almost in a flash. Because of the physical detriments of ocean life on land, he avoids this almost entirely, though he is a big fan of transforming into iguanas and frogs. His particular favorite is that of a blue whale carved with the same tattoos as his body.

Hydrokinesis
Abaguabana's existence revolves around water; as such, he exercises an extreme degree of control over water. With just the manipulation of his limbs, he can manipulate it, solidify it, or even create it with enough focus. This doesn't extend to just physical control either; chemical control of water is within his reach as well. He can evaporate, freeze, condensate, and boil water by focusing, and his ability to create clouds and rain stems from his capability to generate and evaporate water. The strength of his hydrokinesis comes from the distance to the sea; the closer he is physically to his domain, the greater his control. Even when confronted with dirty and polluted water, Abaguabana is capable of purifying it with his breath. His most notable capability is being able to turn himself into "sentient" water at will.

Ocean-Life Control
Abaguabana can speak to ocean life and put them under his control. This communication is rather alien to behold; despite fish not being particularly intelligent, Abaguabana is capable of drawing out conversations from said fish and other ocean-going life. This does have its limits, however; worms, sea cucumber, jellyfish, other such mindless animals are incapable of being communicated with.

Minor Aerokinesis and Electrokinesis
In keeping with his position as the third of the Hurricane Gods, Abaguabana possesses abilities to control the wind and electricity, though these are weak compared to his siblings, who actually have these parts under their dominion. Abaguabana can blow winds of up to 40 miles an hour, and is capable of generating small lightning storms with his rain, and generating small sparks of power from his fingers. As a storm deity as well, Abaguabana acts as a conductor; electricity has no effect on him, but it does have an effect on whatever is unfortunate enough to have physical contact with him the moment he's struck by lightning.

Fusion into Juracán
When called forth to act in his capacity as Abaguabana the Storm, he brings with him the waves and fury of the sea, while Coatrisquie brings the winds and rain, and Guataubá brings the lightning and the thunder. Of course, Abaguabana's adverseness to aimless destruction and danger to innocent lives at the hand of Juracán means that even when outright told by Guabancex or his siblings, Abaguabana still refuses to ever fuse into Juracán.

Background: The youngest son of the irritable Storm Cacique Guabancex, Abaguabana was relatively depowered in comparison to his siblings, the deities Guataubá and Coatrisquie, the twin gods of the hurricane. A rather passive person, even in his youth, Abaguabana lacked the short temper and wrathful disposition of his aggressive siblings, and especially of his infamous mother. His mother was the Cacique of the Wind, the ruler of the distant land of Aumatex, and in her short temper would often punish mortals who even barely slighted her with storms and hurricanes that would ravage the Caribbean. Her two children would herald these hurricanes; Guataubá would call forth the thunder, as Coatrisquie brought forth the winds and floods. The three were destructive deities, with only Moboyas, the god of death and fear, being more hated. Except, of course, for Abaguabana. As the Great War in Heaven raged on, and Guabancex ravaged the lands with hurricanes, Abaguabana sat at the bottom of the sea, content to spend his days with the fish and the many stories they told of the first men and the first moments of the world before the ocean was let loose by Deminan Caracaracol. Abaguabana bore witness to many of the conflicts of the War in Heaven, and these fed into his general disgust for violence, preferring to not be a god of the sea's deep wrath, but rather, a god of the sea's benefits. He grew closer to his uncle Boinayel, the Sun and Rain god, who helped Abaguabana learn to utilize his godhood for the good of his station.

It was these qualities that brought Abaguabana to the attention of his grandfather Yúcahu, the great god of the sky and his grandfather. The hurricanes of Guabancex and the machinations of Moboyas were simply far too destructive to ignore. Seeing Abaguabana's rather passive nature as a counterbalance to his close family's anger and temper, Yúcahu split the hurricane, and gave Abaguabana the power of the waves and floods, giving Abaguabana the power of Abaguabana the Storm and making him the third Nitaíno of the Wind alongside his siblings, denying Guabancex the tsunamis and floods of the storms she could call upon so easily. Yúcahu would have Abaguabana enroll in the newly enchristened "Holy High", in an effort so that he may further understand his importance as a god of the sea and a shepherd of the storms, and left him the enchanted sea shell Aguamobagua, the sea trumpet.

Weapon: Abaguabana's only proper "weapon" is that of a pronged wooden fishing spear, which is unnaturally durable despite being made out of what seems to be simple polished wood. Hanging from the bottom is a collection of turtle shells and cone shells tied to the handle of the fishing spear through knotted grey rhesus macaque hair, while the handles are patterned with an artisan-designed with a pattern of a boa's snakeskin underneath undulating fish-scale coverings. Despite being a spear, it is not a weapon, and is mainly a "staff" who's main powers are to facilitate Abaguabana's own abilities. It can be thrown, and will return to Abaguabana when called.

His tool, the symbol of office over his domain of the sea, is the Aguamobagua. Aguamobagua takes the appearance of a horse conch shell, which is always slightly wet, and smells vaguely of an ocean wind when put up to the face. Abaguabana can play Aguamobagua like a horn instrument, and when blown by him, does actually sound like a vague horn. Blowing Aguamobagua allows Abaguabana to summon rains ranging from slight drizzles, to torrential downpours, and fruit-bearing plants underneath the rains of Aguamobagua find themselves developing fruit much faster, and much larger. Aguamobagua is incapable of being used to its fullest potential by anyone who isn't Abaguabana, with non-ocean gods blowing it finding that they cannot make a sound through it, and ocean gods capable of summoning small rains through it, but nothing more than that.[/spoiler]
