Yesterday, 10 people were killed when an 18-year old man opened fire in a supermarket in Buffalo, New York. The attack was likely fueled by racism.

Completely unrelated, I had to reread the title because I first thought it meant Buffalo, like the bison animal ones, were the ones shot in New York. It took me a second to remember there is a city in New York State called Buffalo. My bad.

Other than that, very sad to see these things keep happening.

Sorry, I don't have a filter when it comes to such extreme cases of inhumanity to one's fellow man, my bad. Killer left behind loads of anguish for many, many people who lost their loved ones over skin pigmentation.

He took the lives of innocent people over skin pigmentation, as a Bernie supporter tried to do with Republican Congressmen over political ideology. Extremists can easily convince themselves they can solve all their problems with bloodshed, be they on the Left or the Right.

Most of the shooter's viewpoints are extreme and go against official dogma within the GOP. Many leading GOP Congressmen are African American, after all. Try squaring antisemitism with the pro-Israel stance of Evangelical Christians that are largely Trump supporters.

I'm just playing devil's advocate, as I'm apolitical by and large.

A great shame, maybe the feds will get involved as this should be classified as an act of domestic terrorism given his motivation. Timothy McVeigh was executed within 6 years of the OKC bombing, so that might play out here.

Yeah, I don't think black conservatives take kindly to being called "tokens". There's more to make someone vote for a political party than just their skin pigment.

It's shameful, but even individuals like this who cooperate with law enforcement will come off without a scratch. You can look at cam footage and note that certain individuals respond to law enforcement differently. The dudes who robbed those banks with AK-47s both wound up dead, even when given multiple chances to surrender and shooting multiple officers.

The anti-immigration is due to present laws on the books, with the notion of the GOP favoring the letter of the law. This is also economic, as wages can be driven down for citizens if there is increased competition from immigrants. You have many individuals who are Hispanic that support the enforcement of immigration law due to this factor. I'm pro-immigration as I regard immigration as beneficial, for the most part.

Welfare itself is based on whether or not you think the state should possess policies that assist x. You have issues with the welfare programs at present, notably abuse and certain aspects of welfare that impact all races.


You can lean towards one party and not share all of its views. Look at Blue Dog Democrats and those that are pro-Life that support social programs.

I just want to say I strongly condemn this attack and this person represents the kind of suicidal veneration and hopelessness that is the very most rotten part of this particular identity movement. I've read pieces of the shooter's manifesto and this is clearly someone without any character looking to attach to some kind of collective ideal to give himself some sense of self worth, as many often do in ideologies. He parrots popular authoritarian memes and seems to have very little personality on his own and most likely wants attention and appraise. I humbly implore everyone to exercise restraint on stereotyping large swaths of people based on the regrettable actions of a few. Just like the recent racially motivated attack committed by a Black Nationalist on a Brooklyn subway shows, there are people of every stripe of ideology that commit violence and we should be cautious about giving disproportionate attention to only 1 group, lest we wish to foster even greater resentment among the affected.

Condolences to the victims and I staunchly oppose this worthless expression of hostility.
