Orwell-Soveinien War

Introduction

The year is 2024, and trouble is brewing between the Orwel Society and Soveiniesburg. The Orwell Society has reached its peak strength, now taking up most of Asia. The economy has reached its highest, and due to recent events in world trade, the Orwellian government is taking in hundreds of trillions of dollars. The Orwellian military takes up approximately 25% of the country's budget, and it has never been so large.

Meanwhile, the self-proclaimed nation of Soveiniesburg is in quite the dilemma. Located west of the Ural Mountains in Russia (right off the border of the Society), the Soveinien government has recently released an official condemnation of its neighbor, citing its recent involvement in slave trade and assisting the notorious Soveinien Mafia in its reign of terror. Sanctums were imposed, leading to the accidental collapse of the Soveinien economy. In the time of weakness, Orwellian special operatives attempted a coup, failing and resulting in a decloration of war.

Twelve Panther-class stealth bombers flew silently towards the eastern Orwell-Soveinien border, filled with HY-002 "dumb" bombs. The bombers were at a mile altitude and on full cloaking mode - virtually undetectable to the eye and other methods like radar.

At a couple miles out, they rapidly slowed and six of them broke off from the formation. The other six dropped their payloads and turned around. The bombs would glide, slowly descending until they silently hit ground, causing all hell to break loose. Their targets: military outposts and government buildings. A total of twelve bombs, two from each bomber, were dropped.

The other six were escorted by twelve prototype stealth fighter jets - so new that they don't even have a name yet. They were sent to accompany the remaining six bombers to patrol the border and take out any military movement whatsoever.

The invasion has begun…

A Hetzer drove down the street, Karl sitting atop of it. "YOU! YOU ARE NOT READY FOR THIS! ALL OF YOU ARE NOT READY FOR THIS!" He laughed, loading something into the SPG-9 recoilless rifle atop the Hetzer. Down the street, Toyota pickup trucks with ad-hoc steel plating were on the sides and front of it, and on the top. The trucks would speed towards the Hetzer, and Karl would laugh manically. The Hetzer would fire; it had a Soviet M-30 howitzer as its gun, instead of the normal German gun. The shell would fly through the air, exploding a Toyota. Of course, Karl laughed even more now. The Soveinian Militia Army''s fleet of Toyota trucks would all flip down their front windows, lifting PKBMs out of the passenger side of the car. They now all fired, Karl would scramble and run off, leaving the Hetzer to beat the Toyota's by themselves. Suddenly, a Su-25 would arrive, dropping a single guided bomb to explode the Hetzer. The Hetzer would explode, the armor plates flying off the chassis. The Toyota's would spread out now, patrolling the streets still...

OOC: You do know that my biggest military base, airstrip, and naval port is at Gulf of China, right? The majority of my navy and a decent portion of my army and air force are stationed there. I have hinted at it in previous RP, it's called Fort Marx.

Now all the current action is happening in Northwest Russia, near the Ural Mountains were Soveiniesburg resides. That is the place where I wil gather a fleet and close off the only naval passage to Sov, as well as halting trade. That way, the only way to get to Sov is to go through me first, since I surround him both east, west, and south.

The best way to help is get there before I do (which I am coming from a port in Northern central Russia and will get there just two days after the bombs hit and the war begins). That will be a very slim margin, and you must get there through the Arctic Sea above Europe unless you want to be caught by one of my naval ports near Japan.

| Two Days Later

Coming straight from Fort Linell, the fourth largest Naval Port in all of Orwell, a fleet of freshly-commissioned naval vessels entered the area off the coast of Soveiniesburg-controlled territory. A total of 24 destroyers, 18 frigates, 10 warships, 5 aircraft carriers, 2 guided missile cruisers, and 16 submarines (10 fast attack and 6 ballistic) were gathered near that coast, cutting off the Soveinien's only large access to the rest of the world. From there on out, any non-allied vessels caught within a fifty mile radius of the area will be destroyed.

Back at the border, thousands of troops were being collected and moved to start the invasion. Hundreds of vehicles, including tanks, sped towards the invisible line that designated the end of Orwell's territory and the start of Soveinien land.

Many may wonder, why so much? Well, Soveiniesburg will undoubtedly call for help. And it just so happens that several very large and influencial nations will come to the aid, potentially giving Soveiniesburg a fighting chance. And the Orwellian government does not want that.

"Aight, we gonna' be here for a bit, alrighty?" The man in grey cargo shorts said, standing on the street corner. He wore a navy blue plate carrier and had on a black windbreaker, his outfit didn't really match. He seemed American, but there was something off about him. "Yeah, sounds good, hopefully nothing outta' the ordinary occurs, cos' we should get out of here as soon as they want us back." Said the man in the old U.S. Army fatigues, with the Tonkin Gulf Yacht Club patch on his sleeve, which was a bit faded. They pulled the charging handles on their rifles, and began to walk east, seeing a few Soveinian Mafia members holding AK rifles.

Seeing the Orwellian vehicles off in the distance, The SMA would be deployed to place mines at one of the major highways leading into the city, and blockade the road until Orwell decided to strike upon them. "TM-46s, and we'll get surplus ones too. Anti-tank and Anti-personnel mines will do. Aye?" The SMA man would say, loading up crates of mines onto Toyota trucks.

For this reason, those who go to war seek knowledge of their foes – and hide, as much as they can, their own military secrets. Some, however, are impossible to hide. The movements of ships and men, the large war preparations, can be seen from orbit. True, one cannot track the movement of a plane or truck in real-time, but one can know the enemy's bombers have left their base, and one can know they returned.

Overhead, satellites pass like stars – satellites from every country and corporation, cameras and radar, infrared and radio espionage satellites, watching and listening. Information is collected.

This information is packaged, and sent out to the government of Soveiniesberg through satellite comms.

Orders were given, also, in secret – and twelve vessels moved out of their ports – one group, moving out to the Arctic, passing under the polar ice unseen, and the other, to the Pacific. They moved swiftly and quietly, four hundred meters below the waves.

The SMA soldiers began to unpack mines, PROM-1, PMA-3, TMRP-6 mines, TMA-2 mines, most were Yugoslav surplus, but there were some soviet mines in the crates. They began to lay mines on and around the highway, in the snow beside it too, One of the prongs of the mines stuck out, but it was not obvious. A final crate of TM-72 mines arrived, and the mines were laid. Of course, the Orwellians were as close as a mile to the minefield.

The Triumvirate has received word that the Orwell-Soveinien War has commenced, and though this will become a conflict of immense proportions, the Triumvirate will be sending an observe force to observe the situation at hand. At the same time, anti-nuclear missile units will be mobilized in conjunction with air and space assets in order to ensure that a nuclear war will not engulf the Triumvirate.

Please, do not be alarmed by the Triumvirate's deployment of military forces; we have to make sure that everyone is safe. We do not intend to cause an alarm. And we would humbly ask all parties to respect our neutrality.

The Soveinian Mafia's Kraljevica-class patrol boat sat atop the ice-cold ocean, waves licking against its hull. Karl sat atop one of the three-inch guns, enjoying an iced tea. Men scrambled to-and-fro, managing boxes and ammunition. The naval cannons were loaded, and ready to go. The radars would be checked regularly, along with the strangely installed AQS-13 dipping sonar, attached to a boom on the front of the ship. It could be swung out and unreeled, acting as a submarine detector. The boat patrolled for any submarines at all, and it sloshed onwards.

Lkandria begins moving troops to Soveiniesberg under air cover. They are ordered to immediately go to where they are most needed

A Sikorsky UH-60MD "Black Hawk" helicopter flew overhead, it had charcoal gray paint, and the seal of some United States government organization. Quite strange. It would land somewhere out of sight.

The SMA would wait for the advancing Orwellian tanks, frightened by how many of them there were, but, there were a lot of landmines too, enough to take out an entire tank division.

The Soveinian Mafia's Kraljevica-class patrol boat would float closer to shore, the icy waves licking at its hull. Again, Karl sat on the three-inch gun, waiting for the right time to strike.

[Bendicion]

Off the coast, a Bendian Navy Northcott class destroyer traversing through international waters make a detour in the Mediterranean Sea towards the Adriatic. The ships sails at a slow 13 knots. The captain tells the ship's transmission officer to send out signals to any nearby foreign ships to declare its presence.

Seeing that Lkandria had just beginning to move troops into Soveiniesburg, the Altmelian Government has also began sending Infantry and Russian T-14 Armata tanks into Orwellian territory for extra defense. Some Mikoyan MiG-31 bombers from Altmelia have also began bombing Soveiniesburg military supplies. The Altmelian Military had also started developing missiles in case of strong counterattacks by Soveiniesburg. The military in Altmelia had never been used in foreign countries before, until now.

The Altmelian MiG-31s would be spotted on radar, and six Grumman F-14 "Tomcats" would take off, with the traditional white paint job that blended in with the snow. All six of the F-14s had at least 4 Aim-120s missiles, and some Aim-9 Sidewinder missiles, and two of them had the rest of their hardpoints occupied by JDAMs. "Aye, Shturmovik-3, we're gonna shoot down any enemy aircraft while protecting important targets, and they're getting an airborne radar up, something like a Beriev." Two aircraft now peeled off from the six aircraft, and they fired Aim-9s at the Altmelian MiG-31s

Tanks and other armoured vehicles rolled along the front of the moving army towards the border. As they approached the highway, a mine, placed by the Soveiniens, went off, completely destroyer a MBT. All of the army halted.

"God damnit! They placed mines! Send out a minesweeping team to find the end of them. Do not, I repeat, do not attempt to remove them. We will go around them, and proceed towards our target." General Dorian Knight, leader of the large scale operation, said on radio.

Meanwhile, at the coast of Soveiniesburg, the naval fleet had collected and started to patrol the area. FA/EO-007 Black Hawk Fighter Jets and various attack helicopters took off to patrol the skies. The submarines dropped and loaded their weapons, lurking in the sea floor. The entire area was being watched extensively with both radar and sonar.

The Soveinien Mafia's presence was detected and small defense vessels were sent to ensure their safety. As for the Bendian destroyer, the Orwellian navy agreed upon a no-attack policy as long as the Bendians stay out of the way. A diplomatic ship disguised as a fishing boat was sent to discuss the terms of the proposed agreement. The boat was unarmed to the untrained eye, but it contained several rotating heavy machine guns hidden in its hull just in case.

The Altmelian aid was welcomed, but with that welcome caim a warning to stay away from the Soveinien city center, as well as large military outposts near the edges.

OOC: I will respond to this soon, but only after your ships enter the area. My ships in the arctic got there just days after the bombings, which means the same amount of time has bpassed since the world found out about it. The declaration of war had not yet been announced to the world, it only did when the bombings began.

Of course, The SMA noticed the losses, and they chuckled as they watched. Although the Orwellians had to stop for a moment, the SMA knew that the Orwellians would continue down the way. Knowing this, the SMA set up some 9M133 Kornet ATGMs down the road, behind some sandbags.

The bombing run conducted by the Orwellian Panther bomber aircraft had destroyed many buildings, including SMA outposts, police stations, apartment complexes, embassies, and more. Six thousand men would be dead.

The man groaned. "Why the hell do we have to be doing this stuff!?" He said, sighing. Everyone looked at him and shook their heads, strolling onwards on the street. A small group of Soveinian Mafia members spotted the Americans, which were oddly out of place in this Slavic nation. A firefight ensued, with bullets and shrapnel being exchanged from both sides. Yelling and screaming could be heard, and finally the eight Soveinian Mafia members would be dead. Blood slowly flowed to the drains.

The Grumman F-14s loitered, watching and listening for any sign of enemy aircraft. Of course, they did not find anything to fire upon, but they silently waited.

After the end of mines were scouted (after much casualties), another scout team was sent to search the path in which the army was going to travel. The team consisted of 42 men, each armed with either OSI Assualt Rifles, OSI SMGs, OSI Shotguns, and a few even carried RPG launchers.

The team saw movement near the sandbags a couple hundred feet away. Using their assault rifles, they opened fire, hoping to get the enemy out of their hiding places. The RPGs were loaded and preped in case that didn't work.

As the Soveinien aircraft entered the area, twelve nearby O-7 Phoenix multirole, air superiority, interceptor fighter jets broke off their current formation and headed towards the enemy craft with their guns blazing. More were notified and ordered to follow.

The nearby ON Predator-class Naval Destroyer prepped its anti-aircraft weapons systems, pointing them towards the enemy jets.

The Fleet is informed that the strongest military base is in China,and in response,the Swiss Eternum Class ships heads alone,with its head admirals willing to test its power, the ship approaches slowly,until a gigantic harbour and airport is seen in the horizon amidst the fog,as for now,the ship goes unnoticed...

"Sir, sonar's picking up a large vessel making its way towards Fort Marx," Private Pile said to his commanding officer in the lead ship of a submarine fleet departing towards Soveiniesburg.

"Pull up satellite imagery," Commander Jake Fasterdsaid.

The resulting image showed what appears to be an American vessel cruising towards the base.

Fort Marx HQ was notified, and the following message was sent:

Unidentified vessel, please identify yourself and your purpose in Orwellian waters or face immediate destruction.

The subs were loaded with torpedoes as command awaited the ship's response.

Due to the SMA having small combat experience, they panic, firing ATGMs at the Orwellian soldiers. Of course, the Soveinian Army would arrive now, providing backup. The Grumman F-14s would loiter around this particular area, arming the JDAMs. "Call us if you need anything, We'll blow them out of the water if you want. We'll be here." A pilot would say, chuckling. The Soveinians were winning for now, as they did 100 years prior. Things were going smoothly.

The six front soldiers, weilding rifles, crumbled to the ground. The rest scrambled for cover, and the soldiers manning the RPGs (there were eight) fired their weapons at the fleeing SMA. Once the Soveinien military arrived, the Orwellians had regained their composure and took out most of the people. But they were unable to advance. A single surviving soldier evaded the chaos and ran to tell the others about the situation.
