What is Emerald Dreams?

Emerald Dreams is a military space opera role play centered around a unit of pilots operating Armored Mechanized Infantry Suits or more colloquially known as Mobile Suits. The key to military dominance. The players will all belong to the same unit, the 99th Combat Suit Team, as newly minted pilots. The story will be character driven and follow the pilots of the 99th in their service with the Royal Armed Space Forces of the United Constitutional Star Kingdom of Virgon (RASF) as it struggles against the tyrannical Earth Sphere Federation and the Imperial League of Arkona. The two other principle great powers of the setting. While also dealing with insurrections, rebellious new extra-solar settlements, religious conflict, and all manner of strife plaguing the war torn, divided, Humanity of the late 24th Century.

Thematically, the Role play is at heart a space opera, focusing on the characterizations of the individual player's creations. It is also a military RP and therefore the risk to character's lives is to be expected. So typical genre rules don't apply of your character bulldozing through battalions of enemy forces without a scratch.

The State of Mankind

Mankind in the late 24th Century is primarily divided between three major great powers along with numerous small planetary polities and space colonies spread throughout the Orion Arm. The Earth Sphere Federation is the oldest of the two and while founded on Earth is primarily based out of old colonies of Luna and Mars. The Earth itself having become a wartorn battleground between Federation forces, breakaway states, and resurgent insurrectionist movements in the wake of the Seven Year's War.

The Federation was born from the evolution of the United Nations, Corporatist Interests, and various surviving national governments in the closing years of the 21st Century. Its power and territory growing over time to at least during much of the 22nd and 23rd Centuries encompass the entirety of Earth, Luna, Mars, the Belt and Outer Solar Colonies, and briefly all the Extra-Solar Colonies of Earth in a Sphere spanning nearly one hundred light years in diameter. Originally, the Federation operated as a Parliamentarian, Elective Presidential, Democracy in which all the colonies whether planetary or space based had a voice. However, by the mid-22nd Century the Federation began to favor Earth and to a lesser extent, the colonies within Sol, at the expense of the Extra-Solar colonies which many born in the Solar System saw as mere economic assets. Gradually, and accelerating following the failed Martian Revolution of 2212 and victory in the First Intrasolar Wars of 2212-2224, the Federation became more oppressive and oligarchic. Regulating the Extra-Solar worlds to that of master and servant. Their political voice diluted through successive Federal administrations. Eventually, this came to ahead in the Ark Reach Incident on the Extra-Solar world of Ark Reach. Whereby in protest of their food shipments being sent back to Earth at unfair prices favoring the buyers in the Solar system over the local producers, Federation security forces gunned down innocent civilians. Sparking the flame of sedition on numerous worlds and culminating in the independence of Arkona, Virgon, several other planets and space colonies.

Military: The Earth Federation Space Forces (EFSF) is the armed forces of the Federation. Divided into the Federation Army, Federation Marine Corps, Federation Maritime Navy Corps, and the Federation Space Navy. The Army is responsible for terrestrial armed conflict. The Marine Corps having evolved to space borne infantry and expeditionary operations. The Federation Maritime Navy Corps is responsible for patrolling the oceans of Earth and new seas of Mars and other colonies. While the Space Navy is the void based fleet and primary operators of void capable Mecha formations.


The Imperial League of Arkona, formed in 2307 in the wake of the Ark Reach Incident, was spawned as a direct counter to the Federation's increasingly oligarchic and nepotic rule of the burgeoning Human Diaspora. The world of Arkona, settled in 2202 and fifty light years from Earth, is a rich 'Super-Earth like planet'. Quickly utilizing its vast resources and mobilized by the beliefs in its own Manifest Destiny the Imperial League of Arkona was formed with several other likeminded terrestrial and space colonies. Ruled by an elected Emperor and a Senate representing its various holdings. The Imperial League of Arkona is the second great power as of the late 24th Century.

Military: The Imperial Armed Forces or His Imperial Majesties Armed Forces, is divided into the Imperial Army, The Imperial Navy, and the Imperial Guard. The Imperial Army is responsible for ground-based warfare with the Navy responsible for maritime and voidship engagements while also operating the Imperial Space Assault Force which is the combined arms Mecha Corps for ground and void rated Combat Suits. The Imperial Guard is its own self-contained formation possessing starships, maritime vessels, ground units, and mecha squadrons.


The United Constitutional Star Kingdom of Virgon, or United Virgon for short, is a Constitutional Monarchy bound by a Republican style Government. The Articles of Self-Determination, signed in 2311, declared independence for the verdant paradise world of Virgon. Named the Emerald World. It was like the Earth that once was prior to rampant industrialization and devastating resource wars. Lush flora and fauna, including many migrated species from Earth, carefully kept with the Virgonese mindset of utilitarianism and elegance. United Virgon is the youngest of the great powers but is an emerging power and may soon rival the likes of Arkona and the Federation.

2026: Cosmonauts land on Mars.
2030s: Manned missions to Luna and Mars. Establishment of outposts on both. De-Globalization by recent events and Resource scarcity forges a space based race for resources off world.
2042: Manned craft reach the inner belt between Mars and Jupiter.
2047-2069: Increasing exploitation and limited settlement of the Belt. Bacteria and biological agents released on Mars to assist atmosphere maintenance. 2049-2055 initial Russo-Chinese and later Japanese construction of the first magnetosphere ring around Mars commences.
2070s: First wave of colonists to Luna and Mars.
2085-2098: First magnetosphere ring constructed. Martian atmosphere loss lessens dramatically. Establishment of proper stations at langrange points proposed by various UN and regional bloc bodies as a means of alleviating resource constraints on Earth.
2100-2130s: Construction of over thirty-six separate space orbitals. Many financed by individuals nations or blocks across Five langrange points and beyond in the Belt and as far as the Rings of Saturn. This is increased to Forty-two by 2148
2144-2150: Development of the Vasilov-Zhiang-Cornelius or VZC Drive. Allowing for space folding to leave the Solar system for nearby stars. However, computation limitations only allow jumps to within 5 Light Years.
2151-2194: First Diaspora to Alpha Centauri and other Star systems. Settlement of inhabitable worlds as a series of resource wars and political upheavals take their toll on Earth and the Intra-Solar colonies. Mars semi-terraformed.
2202: Settlement of the Super Earth-like planet of Arkona. Fifty light years from Earth.
2204: Settlement of Virgon. A verdant world much like Earth. Fifty-five light years from Earth.
2212-2224: Martian Revolution and the first Intrasolar conflicts.
2225-2275: Second Diaspora as Earth is unified under an originally idealistic Confederacy then the Earth Sphere Federation which includes over thirty orbitals and the Solar colonies. Mars and Luna are given autonomous status within the Federation. While secessionist sentiment spreads to the extra-Solar colonies far from Earth due to the increasing nepotism and oligarchic rule of the Federation.
2292: Ark Reach Incident when Federation forces open fire on food protestors on the agricultural colony of Ark Reach. Spawning the Ark Reach Insurrection which lasts to 2306.
2307: Arkona colonial officials in response to Ark Reach Insurrection publish the Articles of the League. Separating from Earth and establishing their own state. They’re joined by several worlds and a dozen space colonies throughout human territory. Forming the Imperial League of Arkona as a semi-constitutional monarchy.
2307-2309: Open conflict between the League and Federation forces. League apparently overwhelmed with atrocities committed on colonies by Federation forces. League responds by smuggling a biological agent to Earth in Operation Dark Dreams. Biological agent is a neurological infection that swept through half of Earths 9 billion population in a year. Turning them into mindless psychotic cannibals. Earth governance is devastated and the Treaty of Luna is signed. Third Diaspora from Earth commences.
2311: Formation of the United Constitutional Star Kingdom of Virgon under the Belleclaire family following their extensive patronage to the development of Virgon and just government in the capacity of Colonial Presidents.
The UCSK adopts a Republican government model under a President as Head of State, Prime Minister as Head of Government, and the Monarchy as the check and balance to both while presiding over the judicial system.
2311-2353: The Long Peace.
2354: Development in the Federation of the first piloted Mechanized warfare unit known as Armored Mechanized Infantry Suit or AMIS. Colloquially known as “Mobile Suits”. Due to needs of operating in space and on various environments that conventional vehicles would have trouble with. This is followed by the Versatile Aerospace General Purpose Fighter capable of configuring itself to fighter and mech in Virgon and later the Mobile Assault Suits in Arkona. All of which become various series of mech weapon platforms.
2366-2373: Seven Years War erupts between Federation and Arkona. Earth, already half abandoned by the Federation due to separatist conflicts and internal strife, becomes a battleground as both powers fight over control of the symbolic homeworld of humanity and its resources, but also for dominance over Human settled space. A revanchist Federation Government versus an expansionist Arkona sparking a powderkeg that lasted seven long years.
Virgon enters the conflict in 2370 when its own territorial integrity is violated by both parties in what is now known as 'Flashpoint Arcadia'. Where the Colony world of Arcadia, previously neutral, petitioned to become part of the United Kingdom. Arkona and the Federation, fearing that the worlds rich fuel and heavy metal deposits could become inaccessible to them for trade, invaded the world simultaneously.
Conflict stalemates with an armistice signed in 2373.

Aftermath of The Seven Year's War

The Seven Year's War was a devastating and protracted conflict fought on over a dozen planets and numerous space colonies. Virgon, either by luck or diligence of its government, remained out of the conflict until 2370 when it mobilized to intervene in the invasion of the neutral colony world of Arcadia by both the Federation and Imperial League. The Virgonese military, smallest of the three great powers, came to rely heavily on its Combat Suit teams and mobile carrier strike group doctrine. Basing its smaller Navy around dedicated Carrier Groups that would move Army and Navy assets together to conduct decisive strikes against numerically superior forces. Allowing the out numbered but not necessarily outgunned Virgonese soldiery to hold its own and score impressive victories till the Armistice of 2373.

The Military of Virgon, as reflected in the Character Application, is the smallest of the three Great Powers and relies extensively on its dedicated Combat Suit teams to amplify its Army, Marine, and Naval assets. As such Combat Suit pilots are allowed greater customization and variance to help ensure the survivability of its pilots and create specialized units to deal with variable battlefield situations.

Technology Guide

Combat Suits are known by various names but can be categorized across five distinct generations. Generation 1 are machines that appeared in 2354 as essentially oversized Exo-Skeletons. Standing about four to six meters in height and powered by a miniaturized industrial battery allowing several hours of operation, and ability to be refueled by solar panels capable of being deployed form its back, the Generation 1 mecha were basic, comparatively fragile, but provided the basis for Combat Suit warfare. Operating as part of Federation Project: AMIS (Armored Mechanized Infantry Suits) the Generation 1 suits managed to show their superiority in engagements throughout Federation Space throughout the 2350s. Yet, their shortcomings were very apparent by 2360 and before even that year was reached engineers and scientists were working on the next phase.

Generation 2 are machines that were truly autonomous. Utilizing Miniaturized Nuclear Fusion packs, the Generation 2 suits were the first real Mecha. Standing 7-10 Meters tall the generation 2 machines were less fragile, sporting defenses capable of matching conventional tanks in head-to-head confrontations, and more streamlined to kit out entire companies with less logistic support. Another characteristic invention of the Generation 2 and later used in more advanced forms for the later generations, was the use of Muscylmar. An artificial muscle that when electrical power was run through its fibers it would operate much like biological muscle. Allowing a high degree of dexterity, strength, and cost-effective power to weight ratio.

Generation 3 was a breakthrough in Virgon. The Versatile Aerospace General Purpose Fighter or Variable Fighter were essentially the hybrid of a conventional aerospace fighter and that of a mech. Able to configure itself between both mods, hence the 'versatile' nature of its design, the Generation 3 broke out onto the scene in 2364. Soon copied by Arkona and the Federation into their own series of weapon systems. With the Federation managing to marry the design with a miniature Nuclear Fusion Reactor essentially negating the need for refueling or a clunky 'backpack'-style power plant. It was the Gen 2 and Gen 3 mechas that entered the first few years of the Seven Year's War in their hundreds.

Generation 4 were invented on Arkona as 'Mobile Suits'. Larger, quick yet even less fragile than the previous three generations, less expensive than the variable designs, and operating Deuterion-Fusion Reactors, the Generation 4 mecha were primarily designed by the Arkonans for mass production. As such while several designs were put into service, with some models reaching over a thousand units produced during the course of the war, they never varied much from the 20 to 60 tonne range and usually two to five stories in height. The Generation 4 designs also incorporated better Muscylmar designs, some even utilizing simple heat to increase functionality, and allowing heat sinks to serve as boosting speed and mobility.

While not an official generation, the last years of the Seven Year's War and the rest of the 2370s saw the emergence of what some engineers call the 4.5 Generation. Larger, weapon platform oriented, models; advanced recon and stealth designs; long range aerospace marks; and even suits fully capable of operating in aquatic environments for extended durations of time.

Generation 5 did not appear until after the Seven Year's War in the 2380s. The invention of the Chernenkov Mass Reactor on Virgon allowed for superb speed to weight ratio, better thrust, strength, and endurance. While also sporting better AI, with some prototypes operating under a Singularity system to merge pilot and machine via neurological connections (requiring a pretty unethical surgery and training regimen starting before teenage puberty). Generation 5 machines on a performance basis will outstrip all previous generations by a significant magnitude once they mature. But for now, remain as prototype systems.

Virgon

Virgon is a world of Nine Continents and Eight Oceans. Possessing polar ice caps and four seasons similar to Earth. Virgon was originally settled by French, Slavic, and Japanese colonists which initially shaped its culture and traditions. When the second wave of colonists arrived nearly a century later it was primarily North American, Brazilian, German, and Native English-speaking populations (Britain, Ireland, and Commonwealth). Finally, in the Post-Seven Year's War Era there is a smaller but prolonged third wave of migrants coming from primarily Luna, Mars, and other extra-solar or space colonies negatively affected by the war.

Virgon architecture is known as Belle Kremskaya and is a blend of French Baroque and Russian Revival aesthetics. Cuisine is a strong blend of Japanese and sauce-based entrees in the Francophone world fashion. While clothing and dress is an eclectic mixture of traditional Japanese for formal wear, western style suits and casual clothing, and Russian country clothing for colder regions (furs, Ushankas, and so forth).

The world is a mixture of languages in its cities, which the major ones have cosmopolitan districts, but also home to an official language. Virgon Creole. Virgon Creole is written in either Cyrillic or Kanji but able, with some difficulty depending on word or expression, being transliterated into Latin Alphabet for usage in the Terran borne languages of English, Spanish, French, and so forth still popular on many colonies. Virgon Creole is a gendered language like French but bears a more flexible structure for verbal expression like Japanese while possessing grammatical and patronymic similarities to the Slavic languages (namely Russian). Phonetically, it can be described as a melodic language mixing the best of French and Russian while possessing the authoritative austerity of Japanese linguistic discipline. As such, mastery of Virgon Creole, is often used as the true sign of one being considered 'Virgonese'. An often necessary demarcation in a nation which extends citizenship to colonies which voluntarily joined with the Emerald World.

The capital of Virgon is known as Lyonskva with other major cities including: Sankt Bonnedieu, Osakaseille, Normanshima, Le Virgon Raion, and Vostokyo.

Character Biography:

Zhirina was orphaned early on in Virgon's entry into the Seven Year's War. Father and Mother both killed in the war during the battles near Neptune against Federation forces. As such she carries a certain animosity to Federation born Humans. Taken in by the military as part of the 'Military Wards Act' she was quickly examined and earmarked for the 'Neurological Pilots Training Program' or NPT Program. A potentially un-ethical program of inducting orphans of the Seven Year's War as candidates for piloting neurological implant equipped Combat Suits. Attending Carthag-Mountbatten Military Academy for Girls she graduated at the age of 16 and immediately went into the Youth Military Academy of Virgon. Graduating at 18 from its two year course of stringent physical and cognitive standards. From there she was tracked to the Virgon Combat Suit Pilots Training School after a six month stint in military boot and infantry training. While at the Combat Suit Training School she would meet many of her soon to be Team mates as upon graduation they would be earmarked for the 99th Combat Suit Team. A novice team formed in 2387 as part of the fresh wave of Combat Suit graduates needed for the protracted Post-Seven Year War proxy conflicts plaguing Virgon.

Zhirina, by virtue of her graduation marks would be commissioned as a Lieutenant in the new unit as its first leader.

I'm finally on summer break and hey, mecha RPs are always fun. Do I have to use a Gundamu MS as my MS or can I use, say, a TSF from Muv Luv? (specifically thinking of the F-15J Kagero; mainly for image purposes, I'll play around with the in-canon description to make it more "MS-iy" like adding the head CIWS etc)

Thinking of apping either a Space Samurai type HONOUR veteran Marine pilot or some kind of shady guy with ulterior motives who is rumoured to be an internal affairs agent (but may be something else). Or both if I can merge the concepts lmao. Probably gonna be in a specced-up Gen 4.5 specced up specifically for anti-MS combat (as opposed to anti-ship or general purpose stuff)

The range of Combat Suit inspiration ranges from Battletech to Macross to MS and well I guess Muv Luv could also fit with some effort.

As for the character, keep in mind that the 99th Combat Suit Team is meant to be rookie outfit of newly minted pilots. There won't be veterans among them.

Ah, I meant a veteran non-MS pilot, as in like a former Space Helicopter pilot or such (I didn't think there would be MSes in the Marines since there's a specific Royal Combat Suit Division). Character Biography:

Mathius Bigsby was born on the near direct opposite end of Human space out in an area of the fringes known as the "Deep Periphery" in a small spattering of extra solar colonies known as the "Van Zandt Freehold" a barely recognized and seldom thought up free haven and wildcat colony situated far outside of the purview of the three larger powers of Human space. Having grown up in what amounted to a frontier outpost with little in the way of traditional infrastructure and facilities outside of the singular large city of Coronet, located on Van Zandt it self, he spent his youth on the Bigsby family sheep farm that doubled as a service depot for various mechanized and automotive vehicles found on the largely agricultural based colony world.

Being the eldest and only son (he has 5 sisters) of a pair of surprisingly well educated engineers turned farmers, he applied for and was accepted for a short 2 year computer science and software engineering degree at the Virgon Institute of Science in exchange for a short stint in his military cadet program and later entry in to the Military it self, eventually applying for and being accepting in to its Mechanized Suit combat school after completing the grueling 6 month long Infantry combat course. After receiving supplemental training at the Virgon Royal Signals school in EWAR and cyber warfare, he was issued and quickly took to tuning his RX-5A Raven II mech to his needs. It is notable that he had tuned his controls to mimic that of the P-5000 Power loader suit commonly seen as a general purpose cargo and work loader found on many colony worlds across Human space.

He now serves with the newly minted Unit #99 as its designated battlefield recon, EWAR, and light fire support pilot.

Standardized testing at age ten revealed that the young boy had the sort of mind to support a direct neural link to a Mech suit, and that his reflexes and coordination were in line with the profile the recruiters had in mind for a Mech Pilot. His parents, Danika and Elis, were approached by representatives of the Royal Combat Suit division, who offered their son a place at the Royal Virgonian Institute of Mech Studies. Included with the scholarship would be a monthly stipend which would be sent home for the family to spend how they liked, with a portion placed off to the side for their young son.

Though hesitant, the Alexios' agreed after explaining to Petros what it all meant and allowing him a few days to come to his own conclusion- If he passed his studies, he would be enrolled into the RCSD as a Mech pilot, and odds are see combat. Petros needed no time at all to make up his own mind- his family wasn't well off and they struggled from time to time. He could help them and get closer to those fascinating battlemechs at the same time. Petros took to the academy both well and poorly at the same time. Academically the boy did well, particularly in the field of engineering. However in the simulator it became very apparent that Petros was less gifted than some of his peers, and he began to fall behind. This kept up for about three years, with the young man only managing just well enough to keep from flunking. His third year might have been his last if not for a curious twist of fate. One of Petros' peers, Bertrand LaFleur, had taken to tormenting the greek boy during their first year at the Academy. One day in the Mech Bays, while shadowing a work crew, the boys got into a fight. The Academy records state that Petros took the blame for the fight, despite it ending when his left hand was caught and crushed in a piece of machinery, necessitating a cybernetic replacement. When Petros recovered from the incident, he found a contrite LaFleur amongst those eagerly awaiting his return. To make up for the accident Bertrand had took it upon himself to take Petros under his wing.

A skilled pilot in his own right, Bertrand managed to tutor Petros and slowly but surely help the young man climb the ranks in the simulator. The two became fast friends; Bertrand fiery and full of panache, Petros quiet and dependable. In return for Bertrand's assistance, Petros began to help his friend understand the deeper, more technical aspects to Mech engineering. How exactly you could push certain aspects of hardware to perform as optimally as possible under different sets of conditions. Soon the two were seen everywhere together; studying, in the mech bay, or running in simulated combat drills on their own time. Petros even authored a Thesis paper regarding a refit of the aging Gen 3 'Vikingr' Mech suit after spending hundreds of hours in the simulator running one against Bertrand. Petros' ideas were implemented in a prototype model that was assigned to him once he was certified to actually train in a real Mech.

It was no surprise that Bertrand graduated from the top of their class, however looking back several years no one would have expected Petros to finish 12th overall in a class of a little over 200. The two were split up and assigned different units, but still keep in touch to this day. Initially Petros was assigned to a security detail at a logistics base on the ass end of the planet, however with the formation of the 99th Combat Suit team, Petros managed to secure a transfer. His squadmates likely haven't seen much of Petros outside of the Mechbay in the few days he's been with the team and when they do it's usually with music blaring out of a set of speakers or into a pair of earphones. Reserved, a little socially stiff, and perpetually tinkering with something, Petros doesn't seem to be a model young officer, but only time will tell if combat molds him into one or not.

Mod.4 patch allows continued operation in conjunction with an active "Angel" series active jamming and masking system to allow the pilot continued use of both systems in the field while also hardening the FCS against outside jamming.


Operating system: Eaglemoss v2.5 revision 2 - An "Open Source" mech operating system for use in mechanized units requiring advanced system support for more sophisticated FCS and control systems, the software package is designed to be easily patched and reversed both in refit and the field, with accessibility for the pilot to fine tune the system for their needs. While standard operation is designed with a HOTASS stick and throttle pair with pedals, Neural link system capability is offered with pilot training and a moderate system patch.

X6 Textron-VJPL R39D "Stove Burner" reactor plasma shunt thrusters, 4 located on the rear of the torso and 2 on each leg. These thrusters are designed to provide continued thrust in the vacuum with limited directional control provided by limited vector gimballing. Said thrusters are also designed to provide limited atmospheric flight through jumping bursts. The system can sustain reaction bursts of 13 seconds in both atmosphere and void based on feeding mechanism from onboard reactor plant. Full sustained burns can both overheat the mech itself and induce the rare "Reactor flame out", where the core runs out of sufficient mass in it's chamber to sustain reaction.

Peterson Flight Systems Mech-grade Pilot ejection seat fitted to allow for quick escape from a downed mech in the event of combat loss of the suit in combat, rated for both atmospheric and void launch that will take the pilot out of the cockpit and roughly 1000 feet in to the air. The Seat contains a standard survival kit including rations, medical supplies, an automated SOS beacon and mounting for Pilot issued Rifle and combat vest.


The RX5-A(HK) used by WO-2 Bigsby features a standard Military paint job and two examples of personalized decals.

Character Biography:

Mathius Bigsby was born on the near direct opposite end of Human space out in an area of the fringes known as the "Deep Periphery" in a small spattering of extra solar colonies known as the "Van Zandt Freehold" a barely recognized and seldom thought up free haven and wildcat colony situated far outside of the purview of the three larger powers of Human space. Having grown up in what amounted to a frontier outpost with little in the way of traditional infrastructure and facilities outside of the singular large city of Coronet, located on Van Zandt it self, he spent his youth on the Bigsby family sheep farm that doubled as a service depot for various mechanized and automotive vehicles found on the largely agricultural based colony world.

Being the eldest and only son (he has 5 sisters) of a pair of surprisingly well educated engineers turned farmers, he applied for and was accepted for a short 2 year computer science and software engineering degree at the Virgon Institute of Science in exchange for a short stint in his military cadet program and later entry in to the Military it self, eventually applying for and being accepting in to its Mechanized Suit combat school after completing the grueling 6 month long Infantry combat course. After receiving supplemental training at the Virgon Royal Signals school in EWAR and cyber warfare, he was issued and quickly took to tuning his RX-5A Raven II mech to his needs. It is notable that he had tuned his controls to mimic that of the P-5000 Power loader suit commonly seen as a general purpose cargo and work loader found on many colony worlds across Human space.

He now serves with the newly minted Unit #99 as its designated battlefield recon, EWAR, and light fire support pilot.

Character Biography:

Alexia was born in Virgon itself to a family which prided itself on being remote and self sustaining for the most part. She grew up with limited human contact which was not her own family deep in the forests of one of Virgons eight continents. As such she helped to provide for her family in the form of hunting.

From a young age Alexia, the eldest girl (her twin brother Aiden had her by just a little bit) of 4 siblings, hunted with her father to put meat on the table. During this time she became an expert marksman and hunter, capable of hitting animals from far distances or sneaking up close to them to deliver the killing blow as is often required when not hunting with a fire arm.

Though living remotely and far from many other humans, this did not mean the family was uninformed or out of touch. Alexia herself grew to be deeply patriotic for her homeland through hearing of war stories on the news or reading of the Royal Army and Navy’s (especially the combat suit divisions) exploits far and near to home.

So it was with little hesitation that when the call for pilots went out, Alexia left home (in the able hands of her now older siblings and father) to volunteer for crown and country. Perhaps not the most social or intelligent among her class, she was by far the best shot in both mech warfare and infantry combat. Earning near perfect scores in marksmanship tests. Though she had been both upset and outraged to find her twin had somehow managed to follow her to the Combat Suit Division.

With these high marks she was able to graduate and was assigned to the 99th combat unit where she now performs as the units sniper.
