01
"Venus"

Rafaél Tunisi
translation:
tune: Daphne — Amir
odds: 6/1 (5th to win)

The first act is none other than Rafaél Tunisi, an artist who has yet to become a household name, but is already no stranger to these kinds of festivals. He competed in the World Hit Festival twice, and was in fact present in last year's FKK. His song tonight has been considered to be an upgrade from his last attempt, and compares a crush to the titular Roman goddess.

02
"Lë ventu a robatu ti"

Astrid Kalidia
translation: The wind took you away
tune: Miele — Giusy Ferreri
odds: 90/1 (14th and least favourite to win)

Astrid last competed in FKK in 2020 with "Animë persë". Her song tonight is a little more traditional, and has a bit of a bar vibe to it. She laments the loss of a lover, who was "taken away by the wind".

03
"No"

Klaravalë
translation: No
tune: Je remercie mon ex — Camille Lellouche
odds: 4/5 (2nd to win)

"No" is an upbeat pop track in which Klaravalë sings confidently about how fed up she has become with a past lover.

04
"Rožë di sangwo"

Lidianë Marino & Luiž Rikardi
translation: Blood rose
tune: Le jardin des larmes — Zaz ft Till Lindemann
odds: 50/1 (11th to win)

Lidianë and Luiž participated last year, and this year they have joined forces to present "Rožë di sangwo", a very melancholic ballad. In it, they sing that not all failing relationships can be saved. The titular 'blood rose' is a metaphor for romantic relationships in which romance is dead, and no longer is there a spark between the two halves, yet they still decide to be together for the sake of anyone but themselves.

05
"Mijel"

Zara X
translation: Honey
tune: Duecentomila ore — Ana Mena
odds: 13/2 (6th to win)

After a successful 4th place last year, Zara X is back! Her song, "Mijel", is a passionate summer track where she sings in praise of her lover, whose words are as sweet as honey.

06
"7:24"

Maurižžio
translation:
tune: Autobus di notte — Rkomi
odds: 75/1 (13th to win)

Pronounced "Setë ventekatru", this song is about the daily grind. The title refers to the time that Maurižžio set his alarm to in his younger years, and is also a play on '24/7' (i.e. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week).

07
"MeowMeow"

Eva Renati
translation:
tune: Ciao Ciao — La Rappresentante di Lista
odds: 10/1 (7th to win)

A quirky, catchy pop anthem. In it, Eva Renati encourages us to have fun and dance, learning upon the philosophy of cats. She may be known to international audiences for her participation in the 64th WorldVision Song Contest.

08
"Ti rëkordaru"

NEON
translation: I will remember you
tune: Tantissimo — Le Vibrazioni
odds: 60/1 (12th to win)

NEON last competed in FKK 2020 and may also be known to international audiences for their WorldVision 48 entry. "Ti rëkordaru" is a love song full of determination, in which the singer promises that he will remember his lover even long after the romance is over.

09
"Andarë (Pa-ra-ra)"

Luka di Venero
translation: Go
tune: Peter Pan — Antoine Delie
odds: 22/1 (9th to win)

"Andarë" is a song of finding oneself. Luka di Venero sweetly sings about how his life has begun, and his readiness to undergo this journey.

10
"Lë volu"

Simonë Florentinu
translation: The flight
tune: E jemja nuse — Rezarta Smaja
odds: 45/1 (10th to win)

An rapid-paced folk tune that makes many references to nature and animals. Sings about an animal taking flight, as a metaphor for achieving freedom.

11
"Në pošu eser' luj"

$TEFA
translation: I can't be him
tune: I remember — bbno$
odds: 5/1 (4th to win)

Although $TEFA (real name Stefanu Arnoldi) is largely a rapper, he submitted this 80s-style pop song to FKK. It is rather melancholic, admitting to a lover that he can't live up to the high expectations that have been set for him.

12
"La našenžë d'unë stelë"

Augusto Martes
translation: Birth of a star
tune: Storia del mio corpo — Michele Bravi
odds: 2/3 (Favourite to win)

FKK 2018 winner Augusto Martes is back, this time with a dramatic ballad centered about a person who finds themselves and goes on to achieve greatness.

13
"N'abandonal mi kosi"

Sator
translation: Don't abandon me like this
tune: Me 'nnamoravo de te — Fabrizio Moro
odds: 18/1 (8th to win)

Sator last participated in FKK 2020. This time he's back with a song that is more sociopolitical commentary, and ends the performance with a fiery, motivating speech encouraging Kalosians to rise and rediscover themselves.

14
"Eškonfinatamentë"

Mariella Kasanu & Žankarlu Fra
translation: Boundlessly
tune: Nuestra canción — Monsieur Perine
odds: 7/2 (3rd to win)

After last competing in 2020, Mariella Kasanu is back and this time she has brought with her Žankarlu Fraterni (under the stage name Žankarlu Fra). "Eškonfinatamentë" is a cheerful love letter in which they promise that they will love each other boundlessly. after all they have went through together.

Interval Act
"Sia prehiérë oltimë"

Lucia Edin
translation: His final prayer
tune: Si j'etais un homme — Camélia Jordana

Lucia Edin won the 60th edition of the Kalosian Song Festival (Festival dëla Kanžu Kalosianë) with the song 'Sia prehiérë oltimë', and accepted the opportunity to perform her winning entry on the international competitive stage. She had to turn down an immediate ticket (to the 91st WorldVision) due to scheduling issues, but this allowed her to treat her participation as the golden celebration of her unforgettable moment.

At the national festival, her song was found to be not particularly popular among juries. She only came 7th (out of 12) in the semifinal and was placed 9th out of 14 in the final. However, the audience loved her, placing her 2nd in the semifinal and making her the televoting winner in the final. Overall, she came third in the semis, where she performed back-to-back with fellow WorldVision winners Zlato, and subsequently qualified and eventually won the competition.

The song is a very emotional ballad lasting almost 6 minutes long. Despite the duration, the pace of the song does not make it feel excessively long. The song is about the prayers of a dying man who laments the life he is leaving behind, expressing the regrets he has. Although the song doesn't explicitly mention the pandemic, the song does feel relevant in that context, and serves as a reminder that all life comes to an end.

And tonight, here she is to perform her winning entry once again, right before we find out once and for all who will succeed her on the FKK hall of fame.

Note: She performs in Kalosian but the English lyrics are provided below.

What has he become?
The man who went away
The blessings that he had
Were like leaves in the wind

Now he sits in his frame
With skin as pale as paper
Not a thing to his name
But I hear as he says:

Ah...
Is this what I deserve?
Let me say a word
I want to be heard

If I still had time
I would leave behind
The doubts in my mind
To live my best life

Laying in the dark
In defense of his pain
He could not move at all
Past the weight of his shame

In the tears of his silence
He tries to push away
The breaths that he wasted
The regrets of yesterday

Ah...
Is this what I deserve?
Let me say a word
I want to be heard

If I still had time
I would leave behind
The doubts in my mind
To live my best life

"Just one moment more"
As he pleads for a chance
To look into the skies
And see one more sunrise

I'd say on his behalf
That it's worth fighting for
But the pain is too much
To go through any more

Ah...
Is this what I deserve?
Let me say a word
I want to be heard

If I still had time
I would leave behind
The doubts in my mind
To live my best life

Ah...
Is this what I deserve?
Let me say a word
I want to be heard

If I still had time
I would leave behind
The doubts in my mind
To live my best life

What have I become?
Is this what I deserve?
Hmm...
Let me say a word

Hmm...

Hmm...

Hmm...

Hmm...

How to Vote

Image

You will need to provide a top 8 ranking of your songs in order to vote.

By necessity you will need to listen to all the songs. You can do this in as little as 5 minutes by ranking the songs as you watch the recap above. You are also welcome to listen to the songs one by one through the playlist linked at the top of this page.

Also for your consideration, for the grand final I have provided betting odds (added to the title card of each entry). These are semi-arbitrarily decided made to give you an idea of what the televote result may look like, although the odds are not necessarily the same as the eventual televote ranking.

To submit your vote, copy and paste the form below and fill it in in a new post:
