    Powers : Teleportation: Pearl can teleport to any location within 15 miles of her position. However, this only works for her.
    She can't teleport inside of people. At all. Or inside of a solid object (For example, she can't teleport into a giant cube of concrete if there is not enough space for her to fit.)
    . Pinpoint targeting: If someone maintains eye contact with her for over five seconds, then she knows where they are at all times, but only for an hour. She can only use this ability one person at a time, though.
    Abilities: She has amazing accuracy, and she can go really fast. It's not superhuman speed, but it's still enough to outrun a normal person.
    Equipment: None.
    Weaknesses: Pearl can only teleport herself and any non-living entities with her. she has bad communication skills too.

    Background:
      Job: She's still in college, and works as a part-time waiter.
      Legal Status: Citizen of the US
      Backstory: Pearl led a normal life and studied hard to get into college. She made friends and had a happy life. But that changed when she was 18 and her scholarship ran dry.

      Pearl was between a rock and a lot of debt, so she signed up for testing experimental cures. However, she received two different shots/doses of cure and blacked out. She woke up in the hospital and called her best friend to pick her up.

      After her friend got there and drove her home- At least, that's what pearl wished had happened. in reality, they drove straight into a battle. They were used as hostages, and that's when pearl's powers kicked in and she teleported to safety. However, The villain was so surprised that she escaped that he killed her best friend. after the funeral and everything else, she began training herself.

      she currently lives in a college dorm by herself.

    She can appear to be made of flesh and blood, complete with appropriate textures of hair and skin, however she is actually entirely composed of dirt, though she has displayed molten insides though as demonstrated by the occassional transition of her eyes turning molten, or her spewing a molten attack. However, scientifically speaking, this does not line up with conventional knowledge, as she has been seen to complete disperse into dirt. It is agreed that the Molten aspects must be a magical feature rather than a physical one. When not in dirt form, she appears to a young woman in her early twenties, with brown hair, gentle blue eyes, and either pale or tanned skin depending on whim. She is of average height and weight, though is noted for a voluptuous form. Her clothing is always light, but not anything too revealing or noticeable.



Motivations
    Goals: She searches for her creators, she has wandered countless years in search of those that made her.
    She likes helping people in need, and will protect others from harm.

    Fears: She fears there may be a darker purpose to her creation, and fears that she may accidentally hurt others. She also fears that she may never find what she seeks, and may be doomed to search for eternity. She also feara robbing souls of their afterlife.


Strengths and Weaknesses
    Source of Power: Vyvia is a Golem. She is made of dirt, and was brought into being by an unknown dark ritual. This ritual and it's details are lost, but whatever it was, it left a scar on the very fabric of creation.

    Powers : Magic and Spellcasting. She knows a plethora of spells, each of which are usually elemental or plant based, such as manipulating earth, water, or plants with various spells. She is resistant to physical damage, as her body is made of dirt, so attacking her is just as effective as striking dirt. She can reconstitute herself using whatever dirt is around her, provided that is is dirt, and not mud or ash, or of the like. She also possesses a knowledge of many medieval weapon styles, and can utilize things like swords, bows, spears, and etc. But is not knowledgeable in things like guns, explosives, or vehicles and of the like. Her skill though, seems to stem from magic, rather than any sort of training. She can utilize a molten attack as a last resort, spewing a large amount of molten material from herself. However, doing so usually completely drains her magic reserves, and can even render her temporarily inert until her reserves recharge to acceptable levels. She recharges by absorbing the souls or spiritual energy of the dead around her in a half-mile radius. This is compulsory, and she has no control over it whatsoever. She prefers drawing from deceased animals and such, and is horrified by the prospect of absorbing human souls. (Again, no choice in the matter, but she makes an active effort to avoid areas where humans have died recently. Though, as you can imagine that is a lot harder said than done.) the souls absorbed are not "contained" in her. They are processed and turned into pure magical energy. Literally like coal, ceasing to be what they once were, and cannot be retrieved or reconstituted, effectively robbing them of an afterlife.

    Abilities: She can read and write in 127 languages, this is not by magic, but rather her taking the time to pick up and learn them. She also has incredible knowledge in both architecture and construction, and plethora of magical secrets she has gained from reading numerous books.

    Equipment: She has a series of journals that she writes in. She also has a steel sword and a titanium pick-axe.

    Weaknesses: She cannot speak. She has no vocal cords and cannot utter any sound. (She can see and hear though). She is vulnerable to any anti-magical weaponry or attacks. And while being submerged in water won't cause her any harm, it will slow her down considerably. She is not very physically strong, often using her magic to make up for her lack of strength. If her magic reserves deplete, she will become inert, and effectively is removed from the fight. Explosives, (not counting nuclear or anything near that) can disperse her body and temporarily disorient her, though she will reconstitute. A nuclear strike would outright destroy her, but that would be overkill and there are much more manageable means of dealing with her. Non-physical attacks are better at depleting her magical reserves than physical ones. And for a side note, absorbing human souls traumatizes her. Even if she isn't the one doing the absorbing.

She was created to serve a mysterious group of cultists who delved into a plethora of forbidden magics. They tore from the fabric of creation Thrice, each time worsening the wound. They made three golems to guard their hidden library: One of Dirt, One of Stone, and One of Iron. They made the Golem of Dirt first, shaped her in their desired image, brought her to life with their dark magics. The golem was obedient, happy to do whatever chore or task set upon her by masters. She was also very observant and eager to learn new things. However, they found this golem to be weak, unable to prerform the more demanding labors, and though the golem would protect them with her life, they desired a more sturdier minion.

      The Golem of Stone was next, a more brutish form, crafted for physical labor. His fists could shatter bone, and could lift many tons with ease. It was proud of it's strength and disliked the Golem of Dirt, which seemed weak and fragile. It cared not for the many books that lined the library as the Golem of Dirt did, instead relishing in the feats of it's physical labor. However, the cultists found this minion to be lacking as well. Though much sturdier than dirt, stone still had it's limits. And a minion that was less reckless was deemed ideal.

      Finally, The Golem of Iron was created. Sturdier than stone but less rigid. Levelheaded, Strong, yet gentle, it quickly gained the respect and admiration of it's peers. Not as studious or clever as the Golem of Dirt, and not as energetic as the Golem of Stone, but it did learn to read, and it's strength was respected by all.

      Each were made to guard their hidden library of magical knowledge, each given a steady supply of souls both animal and human to keep their magic reserves filled. Each did their jobs dutifully, satisfied in their purpose, blissfully unaware of the darker implications of their own existences, and the Dark Machinations of their Creators. All was well for many years, even almost idyllic, but as the years went by, the One of Iron rusted away until it was unable to move, until a day came when it could do no more. This devastated the other two golems, ironically bringing them closer together. The cultists could not fix the Golem of Iron, for the secrets had been lost in the generations. The One of Stone and the One of Dirt mourned the lost of their companion and grew closer together, almost a romance, if such a thing could happen, but sadly while it did last for several decades, it too was brought to an end. The One of Stone was eventually destroyed in a bandit raid, the bandits failed to enter the library, but managed to kill several cultists and detonated a magical bomb that destroyed the One of Stone. This devastated the Golem of Dirt, and only further drove the cultists to darker deeds. The One of Dirt kept it's vigil though, until one day both the library and the cultists all suddenly vanished, leaving the Dirt Golem to wander the earth, eternally searching for them.

      Despite the dark magics used to create her, she has always been a being of kindness and joy. As she wondered the world, the One of Dirt continued searching and learning new things. She learned of the concept of an "Afterlife" and learned what it meant for the souls she absorbed, which brought her great sadness. Because of this, she strove to avoid human settlements, and civilization in general, unless her help was needed. She continued to help people she met through out the ages, building homes, terraforming desolate landscapes into bountiful and stunning lands. Though she has learned many things through out the countless centuries, it's often mind boggling how naïve she can be concerning human culture. Two Centuries ago, she saved a young man from a group of thugs. After thanking her and learning she had no name, he gave her the name "Vyvia" which she has used ever since. She received her Hero License after helping stop a villain who was ravaging the country side in Nevada. She keeps it, though doesn't seem to have any notion of it's importance. Currently, she continues to wander the world, seemingly without aim, and helping those she can along the way.

Okay, where should Vyvia start out? It can't be New York or of the like, that's way too populated for her to risk traveling to. She will likely stick to Rural areas that are sparsely populated, or as such. With that in mind, where should she start at?

  • Dreams of nothing than bringing the innocent, the suffering, and the noble and righteous to a better world. By mercilessly slaughtering them, of course! The world is doomed to fall further and further into an eternal and unending Kingdom of Ashes and Apocalypse, and with that in mind, isn't death now the greatest kindness of all, even if it comes from a driving force of this cataclysmic tide?
  • Ensuring the world does, to the best of her ability, indeed, become an apocalyptic hellscape. Humanity does not deserve the mercy of salvation.
    Fears: Losing her voice, the only thing which sets her apart from the little lambs entering the massacre of her serenade.


Strengths and Weaknesses
    Source of Power: Supernatural Voice
    Powers :
    Song Augmentation: Through the power of song, her emotion, imagination can augment and change the world around, to a point. From small changes which may take as little as hummed notes, say, a small flame in your hand, to powerful ballads and choruses which grant temporary but incredible power. With a range of around 150m/500ft, the mundane world around her may become subject to her bag of tricks and illusions, gaslighting on a whole new level, and this powerless girl may yet into a rampaging monster, sometimes literally. Powers, abilities, experiences, skills, outright transformations and weapons and equipment - buffs, statuses, conditions, amplifications/upgrading and abilities for allies - debuffs, statuses, conditions, downgrading/dilution and environmental effects for enemies. The possibilities are an endless toolkit to any assassin, provided they wisely choose their tools, too many and even the greatest of artisans will break themselves. Even then, some natural barriers incur themselves, range being just one - but also physical limitations. The laws of physics while highly bendable and borderline ignored in some cases, still exist, and she can't simply augment herself into godhood. Even her most powerful transformations could lob *only* a bus or two at you (busses weigh 12.5-20 tons each! I googled.), but not a tank. Could almost keep up with your car on the county road, but not the freeway. Fly fast, beyond your airliners, but never your jet fighters, not the modern ones anyway. Hits that may destroy a large house but never an underground a bunker, so on and so forth. Other limits include: Instant death or revival, she is once again, not a god. While the ability to up herself from normal human to low-mid level superhuman is impressive, it is still only that. Similar logic can be applied to everything that doesn't affect her directly, buffing and debuffing can only go so far, and even her illusions and maluses are not immutable. Even if they were there's only so many you can use at once, no amount of swiftness in changing them out will make up for that. If 20 options simply won't get the job done, you've done a bad job anyway and cooked yourself.

    Furthermore, the type of song and even its lyrics can add further restrictions to what exactly it can do, and no matter what, Conditions or Transformations will always count as 10, no matter if they're a fraction of the maximum strength she could push them, or at the maximum. Something like straight, simple air manipulation is 1 - air manipulation plus say, electricity immunity and pressure manipulation is 3, weapons no more complex than small arms are 1 each. If they have some form of enhanced ammo or affect, 1 per effect/weapon. Conditions or transformations for allies also cost 10, and doing two doubles the strain of just augmenting herself, slashing time limits. Other gifts to allies count for 1:1, while negative affects directly on enemies count as 2:1 (Abilities/Targets). Environmental effects all count for 1 standard, including illusions and such, and all options of this value in any use can be strengthened at higher cost.

    Innocence Inducement: There is a natural air of unshakable innocence to the daytime pop star, nighttime murderer. Her mere presence carries with it the subtle connotation of purity and innocence, as if she could do no wrong, and hurt not a fly. When she speaks, her voice can magnify this passive effect into a potent, gently corrupting force, convincing you of more than her mere innocence and other lies. Her ability to induce an impossible innocence upon herself naturally lends itself further to being able to convince most people of near anything she wants to them to believe, provided its not completely detached from reality, and gently pull out the emotions and reactions she's looking for. The dream power for any Social Engineer, and a necessary saving throw for someone who can only be truly strong for the duration of a Billboards Top 100 track.


    Peak Human Condition: Being one of the more dangerous assassins in the world today, she has naturally been trained and even aided slightly by some substances not allowed in any proper competition, to achieve and maintain the peak of standard human ability. Though she is barely average in stature, she is far heavier and stronger than would be expected, deadlifting up to 475lbs. While impressive, her athletic ability as it broadly applies to speed, agility, endurance and such is where the real shine exists - reaching a running speed of 34mph and able to perform advanced acrobatics and parkour while doing so, and keep this up to disappear across a city from many pursuers. In the event she makes a mistake, with the aid of her athleticism breaking the impact, even survive most falls she's likely to encounter with minor injuries, from as high as 15 stories, or take low-caliber bullets to the few non-lethal areas for one to hit a body and still be able to push through the injury.
    Abilities:
    Cloak and Dagger: As comes naturally to a spy, she is gifted in the skills of the trade, powers just made it easy. She is a masterful social engineer and in crafting disguise. Highly trained and experienced in close quarters across multiple forms and arts, and multiple languages; English, French, German, Russian, Chinese, Turkish, Spanish and Hindi. Stealth and evasion as well as a dash of ballistics and a helping of chemistry and biology for everything from poison to torture, and where to press and the angle at which best to stab. And of course lastly, with firearms, some things powers just can't replace.

    Equipment:
    2x SR-1 Vektor 9x21mm handguns
    8x 18-round 9x21mm magazines
    1x Modified NRS-2 to fire needles/darts, typically with poison on them
    Weaknesses:
    The Show Must Go On: Somewhat unideally, her real power only lasts the duration of a song, most of which are 3-5 minutes at the longest. She can of course like any good musician perform encores. Like any concert though, even a high-speed adrenaline fueled murder concert, it takes time to switch. That time may only be a second or two in the case of possibly the greatest in the world, but that's 1 or 2 seconds of vulnerability, something many of her enhanced opponents could take advantage of. Furthermore, as a performer, she must in some way or another announce the song she's using. An act that could tip off an opponent who knows about her to take what few seconds they may have left to end it.

    Still Human, of course: While a very strong and impressive human, it turns out being one means bullets still hurt and kill, bones still break, and fighting the superhuman lifting cars is a bad idea. Against opponents beyond this, there is little hope but surviving long enough to start the encore.

    Vocal Strain: Singing normally is something she could do until the universe itself ends without trouble. Singing while augmenting herself to become a temporary badass? Hurts like this job does for normal people. More than that, actually! The more abilities she uses the more difficult and strenuous the song becomes. If she's in perfect vocal health, 12-15 minutes per day at maximum strain. Though with the clever usage of a passive healing ability while doing so, this can be increased to 20 or even 30 minutes, at the cost of other using other abilities of course. Past this point, the options are either tone it down, or accept that you're going to be severely weakened for a few days, if not outright rendered powerless while it heals. Desperate situations may even force her into the risk of losing her voice for weeks to permanently, an obvious career ender.

    Silence For the Lambs: An easy way to avoid all this is to just not let her sing. Gags are extremely effective, as is anything else that would otherwise mute her. It will be more difficult to do this midsong, as her voice will become part of the environment along with the song itself, but will stop whatever murderous machinations she's in the middle of dead in their tracks. Similarly, being deaf makes any attempts to directly affect you completely useless, as well as heavily cutting into her ability to get away with literal murder by inexplicably making people think she's innocent. Ability to deafen could also prevent your allies from being affected, or hers from being boosted. Lastly, traits like sociopathy/psychopathy, apathy, or anything else with affects emotions (even including ADHD, Depression and others to varying extents) can inhibit her ability to pull out and use certain emotions even with her voice, or are outright immune in the case of emotionlessness.

    Fear of The Unknown: Excellent research doesn't always cut it, sometimes you don't know what your opponents ability or condition is going into a fight. This can result in some abilities she may use being marginalized or outright countered, or even being weaknesses. It may prevent her from even being able to really resist, if their unknown abilities include silencing her.

    Makeshift Augmentation: Manifestations made in her warped augmented world are more brittle and easy to break than their real counterparts. Hit a real shield with enough force to put a large crack in it, and that’s what you get. Do the same to a manifested one, and it will begin crumbling apart. Use ammo in a manifested gun that breaches its ability to safely fire? It’ll explode and turn into nothing. This is also true of any manifested creatures. Furthermore, being outside her zone of affect means you won’t experience any environmental affects and it will be impossible to directly affect you with debuffs or anything else.

    Sophia Ainsworth: Legal citizen of the UK, daughter of the now passed well-off Ainsworth's, lives in a modest estate to the East of Liverpool, United Kingdom, where she lives off her parents inheritance and performs as a rising Indie music star on multiple social media platforms.
    Backstory:
    Avery Stevens was born in 1997 to poor working class parents in Plymouth, UK. There wasn't much to tell here, she had the typical life of a child born to parents of her class in this time. Both worked and were often absent the home, dad in particular had gambling and drinking problems that weren't exactly a rarity in the area. Nothing eventful or notable really occured.

    Until 2002, when Plymouth police received a report from the Stevens that their daughter Avery had gone missing. A massive operation searching for her was underwent, and lasted for nearly two weeks. No body was ever recovered, nor any trace of her whereabouts seen. Avery Stevens had simply, it seemed, fell off the face of the earth, without a trace. Or, so was the official police report. The reality was much simpler, and darker.

    Avery's father in his drunkard gambling had, as drunk gamblers of poor strata oft do, gotten himself into some money problems. No matter, he'd simply take a loan and win the next pot. Or the next. Or... you know the drill. He never did win, but his money was still due, and he had no assets of any value with which to pay. So naturally, he did the only thing he could think to do. Sell his own daughter to them, of course. A rising star in the European underworld to whom he owed his debt, would also be the trafficker of Avery to her fate. Little Lucifer, is all they called him.

    Just a few weeks later, a buyer would be found, one who took an odd interest in her. Something about this child was off, her mere presence had this ineffable aura of purity and innocence. When she spoke, it was with a flawless beauty and perfection beyond humanity, more akin to an angels song than a humans cry. It would turn out a few months later, shortly after her sixth birthday, that her voice could do so much more than soothe and amaze. For when she sung, reality itself shook in spectacular awe of the performance, and would dance kindly to her melodious whim.

    The Sokolov family, a struggling mafia in Western Russia, would learn of her power the hard way. Though she was barely a toddler, she did not show the fear or timidity of the other children. When given power, even when she did not know what exactly it was or would do, nor its consequences, she cared for none of them. She had been given power, she had a will to achieve with it, and that's all that went through her mind. Many good men would never see their families after this day. On the orders of the head of the family, she was apprehended alive, and unharmed, one of the metas working for the family possessing an ability to shut her mouth long enough to see consciousness removed peacefully.

    From this day onward, Avery Stevens would be trained as an assassin, spy, and one of the most valuable assets of the Sokolov family. Her power was kept a secret, and to this day remains unknown even after her death. It is unclear how many lives she is responsible for taking, but it is known that she was a key piece - a kingmaker - to the Sokolov rise to power during the 2000s. It is known her talents proved so valuable, that the relationship with the man known as Little Lucifer remained strong with the family during their side-by-side rise to dominate their spheres. By the 2010s the Sokolov family had come to subjugate all of Russia and Eastern Europe, those who did not submit willingly, were often known to vanish in a series of mass killings. The exact methodology of these attacks is unknown to this day, but urban legends suggest that the mysterious Avery Stevens was the responsible party in most of these instances.

    In 2015, the Sokolov's joined with their now longtime and close ally in the west, known as Little Lucifer, in an operation to totally subjugate the European underworld under their combined force - The Syndicate. They are known to have provided, quote, "Significant and impressive assistance" in the destruction of the Ordinariate of Azrael, an ancient organization of assassins which once dominated Europe, and whose destruction cemented unified criminal rule over Europe for the next 3 years. Avery Stevens once more comes up as a suspected but unconfirmed member of the operation.

    After the Syndicate's fall in 2018, the Sokolov family came under massive organized investigation from numerous Governments, including two major powers - Russia and China. Backed by Eastern Europe, Central Asia and Caucuses countries, the mafia family was assaulted on all sides and slowly dismantled piece by piece for 3 years in a bloody struggle between Law and Chaos, that at times would border on civil conflict. Russian and Eastern European Heroes and metahumans suffered extremely during this campaign, the Sokolov's seeming to often find ability, even in their death throes, to secure massive and cataclysmic ambushes resulting in massive casualties time and time again.

    Avery Stevens, now Avery Sokolov since 2015, believed to be a major component of these attacks. She was cornered and killed alone in Archangelsk, Russia, in July 2021. She was the last of the Sokolov name, not one of whom had been taken alive in the investigation. Fighting between government forces and Sokolov remnants continued for several weeks after, though their scope and severity had overwhelmingly diminished overnight since the death of Avery. The ace assassin is suspected of being involved in hundreds of murders according to word of mouth sources - the only sources left.

    Since then, a rising entity by the name of ViVi has begun operating in the Eastern underworld, though she is currently under the radar of federal governments, and is as mysterious as the recently passed Avery Stevens-Sokolov.

    In the UK, the wealthy family of the Ainsworth's recently passed away quietly in their estate outside Liverpool. They were succeeded by their only child, Sophia, aged 25. She currently lives comfortably in the estate off inheritance, and slowly builds a career online as an Indie singer. She is incredibly skilled, seeming never to miss a note, and to inspire her fans into unimaginable devotion. Their near cult-like reverence of her is off-putting to most, yet seemingly all who give in to curiosity find themselves among the rabble in no time at all.

    The Sokolov family is officially dismantled as of July 2021, and their operations have fragmented into tiny fiefdoms struggling to survive. The Sokolov name is rid from history, the last to bear the name, and to die with it, their adopted daughter from a human trafficking deal. Eastern Europe is now safe to recover from its brutal wounds, and China now enjoys a more orderly northern territory, having bore a low personal cost for the bounty. There is no belief at all that any major players of the Sokolov operation are still alive or at-large.

    Even after extensive biological modifications, Ricardo still stands at 5'10 and weighs approximately 141 pounds, giving him a lean, athletic build that still cuts an imposing presence in any room. However, his facial and body structure has been altered to some degree in an attempt to enhance and transform his natural superpowers.

    The most notable transformation came in the structure of his mouth, which has been made wider in order to accommodate a reconstructed tongue. Instead of a normal human tongue, Ricardo has a thick, five-root elastic tongue that's anchored in his mouth through hyoid bones. In order to avoid breaking his teeth every time he extends his tongue, his pearly whites have been flattened and reduced in size, resembling a herbivore's jawline. Ricardo's eyes have also been radically altered, and as a result of the drastic cosmetic and biological changes, he wears sunglasses on a near-constant basis. The sockets of his eyes have been slightly pushed forward in order to give him a wider field of vision, and his top and bottom eyelids have been fused together to only permit a small gap in the middle of his pupils. Both eyes are able to move independently of one another, but this is difficult to see due to how narrow the openings of his eyes are. Additionally, the skin of his body, face, and scalp has a slightly scaly texture to it, and he tends to shed scales in small patches on a semi-frequent basis. These shedding cycles become more heavy and intense when he is experiencing deep emotional stress or anxiety.

    To preserve his ability to walk and use his hands, few modifications have been made to his torso and lower body. His hands and palms have been slightly altered, being larger in size with longer fingers than the average man. He also carries a 29-inch prehensile tail fixed to his tailbone, which matches his body's skin tone in color and is visibly muscular and corded appearance. This tail is usually folded down the inseam of his pants while moving about. Finally, his hands, palms, and chest all have a slightly waxy, shiny appearance as a result of adhesive substances that are secreted through his body's cells.

Strengths and Weaknesses

    Source of Power: A combination of genetic mutations and black-market medical operations.

    Powers:
    • Camouflage Field: Ricardo's original power, and the only one that wasn't obtained through a set of grueling, painful constructive surgeries. In essence, Ricardo is able to take a five-by-five-foot field and bend light around it, with light curving around the field and filling up the space behind. This allows him to make his body and clothes essentially invisible to the human eye, with little way of circumventing the field without a specific ability to bend light. As a result of his affiliations with chameleons, it's become something of a widely-circulating misconception that he can change the color of his skin like the lizards, when in actuality, the power is much closer to commonly-held perceptions of "invisibility".

    • Sensory Concealment: As an extension of the Camouflage Field, Ricardo holds a few more tricks to get around typical sensory devices and capabilities. For one, he has the ability to suppress and conceal the signature of his own body heat to outside receptors, preventing him from being tracked through thermal vision or thermal imaging equipment. As well, any footsteps or strides he makes are completely inaudible and are masked to both biological or man-made hearing systems. However, this power doesn't extend to all sounds produced by him, just his footsteps.

    • Chameleon Physiology: A long-standing "passion" for reptilian studies has led to Ricardo undergoing various experimental black-market procedures in order to adopt several qualities of wild chameleons into his own body. Listed below is a summary of the major changes to his body and their effects:
      • Chameleon Vision - Multi-Directional Sight: Through grueling operations and training, Ricardo has trained himself to master multi-directional vision and adapt to a chameleon's way of seeing the world. Unlike the human eyes, which move simultaneously, Ricardo can move each single eye independently of the others, allowing him to focus on targets while also monitoring his field of vision to take in additional information. This field of vision is slightly larger at the sides than the average human field of vision as a result of his eye sockets being pushed forward, allowing Ricardo to take in a massive amount of visual information at all times.
      • Chameleon Vision - Clear Focus: In addition to the overall direction and movement of his eyes, Ricardo's eyes themselves have been structurally altered to improve his vision resolution and focus. The lens of his eyes has been made concave and the cornea convex in order to magnify images created by the retina and allow for more precise visual focusing. Additionally, because the nodal points in his eyes are behind the axis in which they rotate, the image created by his retinas is the main method by which he judges distance and he can evaluate depth perception through the rotation of just one eye. The benefit of this is that he doesn't need to turn his head to focus and evaluate distance, he simply needs to spin his eye in place.
      • Prehensile Tongue: Much like a chameleon, Ricardo has an elastic tongue that can be projected out from his mouth. His tongue is a thick, pink cord about five feet in length, and although it lacks the ultra-sticky quality of a chameleon's tongue, he is able to flex and curl the end of it to wrap around and grab certain objects. It is anchored in his mouth through a system of hyoid bones and folded elastic muscles, and when he wishes to project the tongue, these elastic muscles let off their potential energy to snap the appendage forward. Retractor muscles are engaged to reel the tongue back in at a slower speed. The force of this strike outwards is very powerful; at its maximum speed and strength, the force of the snap is enough to shatter ribs and limb bones. Additionally, the tongue is muscled and strong; if coiled correctly around a fixture, it can sustain Ricardo's entire body weight without tearing.
      • Prehensile Tail: A strong, muscular 29-inch appendage fused to Ricardo's tailbone that is mostly used for climbing, balance, and offensive capabilities. He has control over the tail's movement and can use it to lash and strike others with moderate force similar to that of a human kick. When coiled correctly, it can also sustain his entire body weight.
      • Adhesives: Ricardo's fingertips, palms, and chest secrete a waxy, sticky adhesive in small quantities that allows for the reptilian man to stick and adhere to various surfaces. The adhesive is very powerful, with the ability to stick to most common surfaces and the ability to easily tear skin and hair if physical contact is made. However, it is less effective against highly smooth, slippery surfaces such as ice or surfaces covered in non-viscous liquid, as the liquid dilutes the power of the adhesive.

    Abilities:
    • How to Rob: When you stick-up and rob drug dealers for a living, you start to become something of an expert at it. Ricardo is street-smart, cunning, and organizationally-minded, able to conceive and execute countless well-planned robberies, heists, and murders. His visual enhancements and overall intelligence make him excellent at surveillance, scouting, disguise, and ambush, making it incredibly difficult to escape from him once you're caught in his tongue. He's far from he strongest metahuman in direct combat, but when you set traps as elegantly as he does, there's no need to fight head-on.

    • Physical Prowess: A former three-sport athlete in high school and a D1 college athlete on top of that, Ricardo spent most of his youth in top-tier shape. Since then, he has continued to keep himself in peak physical condition and supports his newfound physiological powers with an impressive amount of strength and endurance.

    Equipment:
    • Beretta 1301 Tactical Shotgun
    • Glock 19 Pistol
    • Multiple fake passports, including documents for France, Canada, and Australia
    • A set of bulletproof body armor that he wears underneath his usual shirts/garments
    • An small illusionary device that clips to his collar, uses holographic technology to mask his body and avoid drawing attention through his noticeable reptilian features.

    Weaknesses:
    • Optical Confusion: While Ricardo is largely able to see and effectively use his optical transformations, it isn't his natural system of vision and he's only able to navigate it through the benefit of strenuous practice. As a result, he can become confused or overwhelmed at times, especially if he is swarmed by different individual targets or attempts to overuse his multidirectional abilities. This can lead to incorrect depth perception, difficulty focusing on specific objects, or even total blurriness and loss of his vision as he struggles to coordinate his two eyes.

    • Sticky Fingers: Due to the sticky adhesives created by the skin on Ricardo's hands, he is forced to constantly keep his hands clean and must wipe or wash his hands clean on a regular basis. If he allows too much adhesive to build up on his hands, performing basic tasks with his hands such as shooting, writing, opening doors, or even grabbing and dropping objects becomes an infinitely more complex task.

    • Limited Field: Ricardo's concealment abilities only exist for very specific indicators of his presence. They can mask the visual appearance of his body and clothes, his body heat signature, and the sound of his footsteps. Nothing more, nothing less. They cannot mask his scent, the sounds made from objects he touches or uses (i.e, bumping into a table or loading a gun), or the sounds of other components/actions of his body aside from his footsteps. As a result, he can still be tracked by precise technology, metahumans with enhanced olfactory abilities, or by his own clumsy mistakes. The latter is rare, but rare isn't never.

    • Moral Code: Ricardo, despite his criminal ties, holds a strict moral code when committing crimes. The most notable facet of this code is that he will never lay a finger, a cut, or so much as a scratch against a child, and will often hold back or stop warring entirely if he's afraid that a child will get caught in the crossfire. It lets him sleep peacefully at the end of the day, but it can also lead to terse and complicated situations when shit hits the fan, and this can weakness can be very easily exploited against him.

    Legal Status: Holds both Jamaican and American passports. Is currently wanted in the United States for second-degree murder, armed robbery, and assault charges, and is believed to be hiding in Jamaica. Has fluctuated in and out of various most-wanted metahumans lists internationally.

    Backstory: Ricardo Blessing Palmer III was born on March 13th, 1981, in the Bronx borough of New York City, to Jamaican parents. He was largely raised by his grandmother and mother due to his father's imprisonment following a DEA sting and frequently moved around New York City, living in Melrose, Ozone Park, and Highbridge at various points throughout his early life. Despite his difficult upbringing, Ricardo was largely able to avoid the same pipelines that had trapped so many of his friends and peers growing up, largely thanks to his athletic talents. As a high-school athlete, he was three-sport, rotating between the soccer, rugby, and track teams for four years. After being named an All-American player in his last two years of high school, he made the cut for Duke University's Division I soccer team and attended the school to study psychology. However, following a series of injuries that limited his play-time for the team, he dropped out of college following his second year and was arrested for marijuana charges.

    Following a brief jail stint, he moved back home to Highbridge and moved back in with his grandmother following the death of his mother due to breast cancer. It was there that he reconnected with most of his old neighborhood and became affiliated with members of the Shower Posse, the infamous Jamaican gang with a massive footprint across the Northeastern United States. Impressed by his metahuman abilities, a unique attribute that he had been capable of wielding since childhood, he quickly rose through the gang's ranks and became a feared marksman in their arsenal. His smarts, combined with his ability to slip out of literal shadows and thin air, made him a highly successful robber and enforcer, and he was often tasked with sticking up drug dealers from rival gangs. For this, he was feared, but he was also respected. He was respected for his strict moral code, including his hatred of profanity, his adherence to Christianity, and his refusal to allow harm to befall children, which included refusing to target mothers. He was respected for the care he displayed towards his family, paying for his grandmother's medical bills before his own rent and often escorting her across the neighborhood. As well, he was respected for his thirst for knowledge, often voraciously reading, self-studying his unfinished college courses, and taking an interest in all things academic, particularly biology.

    Ricardo was entranced by the study of reptiles, particularly chameleons, to the point of near-obsession at points. He constantly marveled and spoke of the wonders of chameleons, compared himself to the chameleon, and even began requesting that gang members begin to refer to him as "Anolis" after a genus of lizards. As he climbed through the ranks of the Shower Posse and began to dictate a large number of their street-based operations, the names "Chameleon" and "Anolis" began to come dangerous callsigns, indicators that there was nowhere in New York City that you could be safe, not even inside your own bedroom. With this image came money, lots of it, and with his newfound riches, Ricardo began to invest in all the black market had to offer, going through multiple torturous surgeries and rehab processes in an attempt to enhance his own body and further replicate the chameleon. It started with just the adhesive on his hands, but within a few years, it extended to his tailbone, his tongue, his skin, and eventually, most prominently, his eyes. It took an entire year to recover from the eye surgery and its corresponding nervous operation, spending months in his house reteaching himself how to see, but it was worth it. It was worth it for the fear that was struck in every low-level pusher's heart every time he took his glasses off.

    Unfortunately, it didn't last. In 2019, he was summoned to an apartment in Queens, where he was ordered by top-ranking members of his gang to carry out a hit on a rival leader's pregnant girlfriend, an act which he refused due to his own morality. What happened next is somewhat unclear and has been distorted by rumors across New York City, but when the police showed up at the scene of the crime a few minutes later, they found three high-ranking lieutenants of the NYC Shower Posse, two dead from gunshot wounds, the third having been brutally beaten with a handgun. Anolis was the main suspect in all three incidents. The Posse attempted to take revenge for the murders by sending multiple teenage members of the gang to Anolis' grandmother's house to exploit his code and ambush him, but the kids were instead met by a vacated residence. When they broke inside, they found a list of their own family members and their addresses' on the kitchen counter, with a written plea to leave the house.

    Panicking, one of the teenagers brought the list to the police and confessed to the entire incident timeline, including the fact that Anolis was behind the murders. By the time the NYPD and DMA pieced together the details of the crime and ID'd Anolis through DNA from his past convictions, they were too late to stop him. Using a legal passport, he had boarded a flight out of JFK to Kingston, Jamaica, and went into hiding in the island nation.

    Extradition treaty issues with Jamaica, combined with local community members' resistance to police presence in their areas, have significantly delayed law enforcement's attempts to find Anolis, and they have been unable to find his place of hiding. In fact, nobody's quite sure where he is. His grandmother, having developed Alzheimer's disease, was placed in a nursing home shortly prior to Anolis' flight and was of little use to police efforts. Eyewitnesses and airport records show that he did in fact board a flight to Kingston, but given his access to false documents and glamour tech, it is entirely possible that he has left the country since then and is living elsewhere. Only two real footprints remain in the United States; a fluctuating entry on the DMA's list of Most Wanted Metahumans, and the rumors of a since-damaged West Indian gang, one that used to be run by a figure that was half-chameleon, half-man, and strange in whatever was left over.

    Hannah and Naomi are not natural born vampires, though their neural pathways have been overridden to encompass their reborn form's instincts. Primarily ambush predators, vampires are naturally stronger and more durable than normal humans for the most part. This strength is mostly used to capture, or pin struggling prey. This strength has largely been overridden by Project Golden Goose, however as Vampires there are a number of further advantages, namely biological immortality allowing for a natural lifespan ranging in to the multiple hundreds of years, regeneration (capable of healing most bullet wounds inside of a day and regenerating limbs inside of a month), Vomeronasal organ and an enlarged olfactory bulb giving an acute sense of smell on par with most bear species, fully functional tepetum lucidum, allowing them an acute level of natural night vision, small glands on the hands and feet that allow adherence to surfaces via Van der Waals force, and hyper-responsive immune system. Vampires also are capable of infecting other people with the same genetic disease that infects them, though hollow canines that link to sinus cavities in which the bacterial contagion breeds, once bitten, unless mass amounts of anti-biotics are given, they will turn in to a vampire within 40 hours. Though Hannah and Naomi have yet to pass their infection on to anyone else.

    Project Golden Goose was a Department of Defence program aimed at creating super-soldiers which had backpacked off of a similar Soviet program. While effects were notable in all it's subjects, the most glaring changes occurred to those with a notably fast form of cellular regeneration. DNA was altered in several ways to produce thicker myelin sheathes, produced more androgen receptors and androgens in general, bind consumed trace metals to bones and enamel, and introduce more fibrillin in ligaments and tendons, reducing long term wear of joints and preventing catastrophic hyperextensions. As a result, both Hannah and Naomi are stronger, faster, more nimble, and more durable than they would be naturally.

    Abilities:
    Polyglot: Having been alive for quite some time, both have picked up a number of languages. Both are fluent in German, English, Spanish and Hebrew. Hannah additionally is fluent in Norwegian, Finnish, and Polish, while Naomi is fluent in Russian, French and Mandarin.

    CQC: Years of travels and assistance from fellow veterans of the CIA and US Armed Forces, as well as basic classes of a variety of martial arts, and the twins have developed a proprietary martial art revolving heavily around the use of bladed weapons and firearms in hand to hand fighting. As expected, they are also experienced with said blades and firearms.

    Equipment:
    Both: Both twins have a set of full body self sealing aramid level III armor supplemented with rigid spall lined and laminated polycarbonate-ceramic composite plating, the soles of their boots and palms of their gloves are permeable.
    Hannah: Hannah's equipment varies depending on their deployment and whether she is granted a chance to prepare, but typically runs a modified M4A1 SOPMOD II rechambered for .350 Legend +P, and an MTR-8M Revolver as a sidearm. Alternatively she may run an FN P90 instead of her M4, but this is rare.
    Naomi: Naomi will typically run an Accuracy International AWM in .458 WinMag alongside a P90 on most operations, though may simply forgo the AWM.

    Weaknesses:
    Vampiric Aversions: As with all Vampires, Hannah and Naomi are deathly allergic not to garlic, the natural fungicide allicin within garlic. Eating cooked garlic -if done properly- isn't so much a problem, but eating raw garlic or being in the room as it's being cooked will very quickly result in a 911 call.

    Aside from this, the twins have a much less fatal reaction to raw nickel and UV light, the former causing rashes and sensitivity to the latter resulting in a much quicker sunburn.

    Physical Limits: The twins, as with much else in their life, share the same training regimen, and as such have much of the same physical limits, being an overhead lift of 23 tonnes, punching force on par with a .50 BMG at max, sprint speed of 56 km/h, and can react to stimuli within 56 milliseconds.

    Feed: Vampires, as the myths say, need blood, not so much out of any supernatural affiliation, but because blood is high in iron content. In order to maintain a healthy bone structure, a Vampire has to consume up to 70mg of iron a day (as opposed to a normal human's 17-20mg), most often this comes in the form of blood and iron dense foods. In many cases, the vampires gain an acquired taste for blood.


Background:
    Job: CIA SAC-SOG Operatives, currently operating under DMA Jurisdiction.
    Legal Status: US Citizens
    Backstory: The pair of identical twins, in Berlin in 1921 to tailors, a terrible timeframe to be born to an ethnic Jewish mother. A turbulent early life circled further and further in to a nightmare as time went on, their father, a Great War veteran, had managed to buy in to the propaganda despite all that it entailed. The badges of shame and diligent practices on avoiding attention no longer worked after Kristallnacht, when their father was taken. The two girls, their mother, and little brother fled to a farm outside Hanover to live with an old friend of their father's, also a Great War veteran.

    This tentative peace for the four would last until 1941, when the USSR was invaded. Then the Nazis came to their home, and the two twins were bitten by their caretaker. It was then they were rounded off and shipped to a transfer camp, and then they were transferred out on different trains, and to different camps. The twins never saw their mother again. Hannah was stuck alone, while Naomi was with her younger brother, Oscar. In Dachau and Buchenwald respectively.

    Hannah was subject to medical experiments time and time again, decompression, hypothermia and plethoras of painful injections. A favourite pick due to her inexplicable survival ability, it was suffering for the whole 4 years she was there. When Dachau was liberated, she was responsible for killing over half of the medical staff before being restrained by members of the US 42nd Infantry Division. Attempts to restrain Hannah for IV fluids resulted in several broken bones.

    Naomi and Oscar were soon separated within the same camp, and Naomi was forced to bribe guards with whatever she could in order to ensure her brother's well being while slowly and surely wasting away in order to do so. By the time the camp was liberated, she was catatonic and on the verge of death, holding her little brother's long deceased form.

    Despite efforts from all three survivors, they wouldn't be reunited until 1953. By pure chance, the two would reunite when they met in a firefight in an Argentinian village, hunting down Nazis. A brief catch up happened then and there before the two faded in to the South American jungle. Over the next 30 years, the two would become the closest thing to urban legend in the various intelligence communities, sometimes wading straight in to ongoing wars to kill singular targets and leaving. From Africa, to Southeast Asia, to South America again, to whole fringe communities in the US and a trio of individuals in the US government defected via Operation Paperclip, where they showed up, people died.

    At some point in the early 60s, they were recruited by the CIA and soon after participated in Project COLDFEET in several non-publicised drops in to Soviet Arctic stations. During which they retrieved information on the Soviet meta-human program which was brought back to the US. Details on genetic modification and precursors to ongoing programs resulted in the US running tests with said information. Though after some surface inspection, it was realised the Soviet Supersoldier program were in most cases lethal unless the subject had a non-marginal level of regeneration. Learning of this, the twins, having long since been privy of their special circumstances, would volunteer to be live subjects. It would serve to reinforce their fear of needles and hospitals, the pain of the augmentation resulting in long buried trauma resurfacing in Hannah, but their already impressive physical prowess was improved, and their stature became notably abnormal.

    The two would be a somewhat sterotypical 'mavericks'. While the skills they accumulated over the years were valuable, there were times their actions nearly resulted in dismissal. These included several civillian deaths during the Bay of Pigs invasion, the murder of an advisor in the Congo Crisis who was formerly of the Waffen-SS, several unauthorized operations in Laos, Cambodia, and North Vietnam, and a period of three months where the two went AWOL in to East Germany in search of evidence of Dietrich Haegler's continued survival.

    As time moved on, so did they, and their unrelenting hatred calmed as fewer and fewer Nazis continued to survive in to the 80s and 90s. By the time the War on Terror rolled around, their involvement in US military affairs waned, and soon after the masquarade was broken, they ended up stuck in a legal limbo for some time, bouncing back and forth between the clandestine DMA and CIA until 2019, when they once again became staff of the CIA.

    Most recently, they've become part of a CIA-DMA cooperative effort to circumvent legal restrictions, allowing the CIA to operate on US soil, while allowing the DMA to operate on foreign soil.

Character Description


Motivations
    Goals: Blood. A neverending desire for blood. Other than that though...she delights in collecting things and does intend to have a grand collection of art and artifacts before she will assume the throne of Bohemia which is hers by right. The throne of Vampires too, it's been too long with that poser Dracula.
    Fears: Being weak and powerless and death. Like most magical vampire's she's developed an incredible fear of perishing and all the souls she has consumed, all her sins catching up to her. Her fear of weakness and helplessness stems from her helplessness in the past. She couldn't defend herself against her brother. She couldn't stand up to the Nazis. Never again.


Strengths and Weaknesses
    Source of Power: Ancient Vampire Ritual and the blood and souls of literally around 2 million people.
    Powers :
    • Magical Vampire including all the powers and quirks.
    • Master Blood Magician:
      Like all Magical Vampires, the Scarlet Baroness is very well attuned to the power of the blood and has spent centuries with the study of magic and the like, silently amassing wealth, power, influence and knowledge in her hiding place below Prague. With her traumatic experiences during the 2nd World War, the Scarlet Baroness has found herself with an extreme excess of magical power at her fingertips and an evern greater reason to use that power well, deepening her studies of the magical arts and truly establishing herself as a well versed master across many schools of magic and one of the primary authorities on the topic of Blood Magic.
    Abilities:
    Equipment: While they have a great store of artifacts and other things at home, for now only one of these matters, even if she does not carry it with her. That being the Book of Souls, an ancient tome filled to the brim with necromantic knowledge and power.
    Weaknesses:


    Background:
      Job: Socialite and Collector.
      Legal Status: Last time she had herself registered as a citizen was in the Czechoslovak Republic, after that no more and as such her status in Europe is generally not legal...alas, authorities have yet to find her again. Not a wanted criminal per se but she is certainly on the morally utterly bankrupt side of things and has ordered and done things that go against the law and human morals. Alas, few were ever traced back to her.
      Backstory:
      Hmm. Ah nice background. Let`s get to this right from the start then. She was born as the third child to Wenzel I. of Bohemia in the year 1237. Back then she was happy because her father loved her very very much. But this was also her downfall as her elder brother, Ottokar II. Premysl envied her and believed that his father would give the throne to her. He had already killed the eldest child, his brother Vladislav to get the throne and he didn`t want to see all his hard work go up in smoke. And so he murdered her in 1247 and started his revolution right after. His father however managed to retrieve Antonia`s dying body and and together with his wife he sought out a satanic cult. His wife, Kunigunde of Swabia, sacrificed herself in order to complete a ritual, a bargain with a foul being, a dark deity, to return life to the body of their daughter.

      However, it was not really his child that he got back. The ritual had transformed Antonia into a bloodthirsty creature with immense powers. Loving father that he was he fed her with criminals and whatever she desired whenever she desired it, not realizing that he made her more powerful with every drop of blood she took. Antonia herself was disgusted by what she had become but her urges were just too strong for her. And ever since the ritual her heart seemed to be made of stone as she knew no compassion or mercy anymore. Only when her father died she cried a single tear of blood. After that she simply vanished. She seemed to have lived a long life in Prague, feeding on the human population and growing her power and influence.

      But that couldn't continue forever, And it didn't. 1939, the year when the Nazis took Czechoslovakia. Nobody today knows how, but it seemed that the SS Paranormal Division, the SSAfP had managed to capture her, using some kind of trick. Probably one out of the arsenal of the Old Teutonic Order which had been hunting down Witches, Magicians, Vampires and all other monsters and creatures for centuries. During the war she was first held in a secret facility of the SSAfP in Brno on Reinhardt Heydrich's order, where they ran countless grueling experiments on her, fully using the opportunity they had on hand with her. She was then later transferred to Treblinka in May 1942, being quite literally built into the camp itself, so secure was her prison. And there they continued conducting their experiments, this time on a much grander scale and with a much different purpose, experiments that the Scarlet Baroness would never forgive the Nazis for. She was quite literally force fed the blood and souls of the people perishing in the camps of Treblinka...untill the Nazis had to close the camp as her powers were growing too strong and the countless dead buried around the camp continued to rise again and again. The Nazis were forced to stop, cremate the dead and move her elsewhere where she couldn't find puppets to manipulate for her escape. She was then instead transferred to Ausschwitz-Birkenau in August 1943, where the usual, cruel force feeding and many years and months of torment under the merciless eyes of one Dr. Josef Mengele, a man called the Angel of Death, continued.

      The Scarlet Baroness managed to make her escape in mid December of 1944, escaping heavily wounded and with little more than some rags on her body in the SS general deconstruction of the extermination camp. Spending some time to recuperate and heal her injuries with blood magic, the Baroness then continued westwards, making her way back to Bohemia and then from there starting her own, personal war on the Nazis, striking what facilities she knew off, aiding local resistance and getting into contact with the Allied Forces in order to see her one and only burning desire to completion. The elimination of the SS Paranormal Division that had caused her so much woe and the destruction of their plans. She was instrumental in stopping the execution of Hitler's final order, the Nero order, aiding Allied Commandos in the battle for the Kyffhäuser Mountain in mid April 1945 which ended with the decapitation of the SS Paranormal Division and the stopping of their plans.

      Her lust for vengeance nearly satisfied, the Scarlet Baroness returned to Prague from where she followed the proceedings concerning the Nazi War Criminals with great interest as she intended to get the SSAfP's head, Standartenführer Haegler, after the trials and torment him in return for all the torment he had caused her during the war. With his execution at Nuremberg, she intended to gather his body and torment his soul for all eternity yet her helpers found that they came too late. Nazi loyalists had already stolen the body, causing the Scarlet Baroness much outrage and a manhunt across Europe for a body she could not find, causing her to not notice the Stalinist noose tightening around her.

      During the Stalinist purges in Czechoslovakia which started in 1948, the Scarlet Baroness once again escaped barely with her life, fleeing to Liechteinstein instead where she would set up her new base of operations. Having been robbed of much of her influence, wealth, power and her collection twice within such very short time, the Scarlet Baroness decided that perhaps she had meddled too much in the world of the mortals. That perhaps she should go undercover once again and wait out a new age.

      And so she waited, remained still during the cold war and when the Iron Curtain fell and the Warsaw Pact broke apart, when the haunting specter of communism left her lands, she once again returned to Prague, nestling once again deep below the Prague Castle, reclaiming her hideout and her collection and quickly going about following some rumours and news which had come to her ears during the Cold War but she had decided not to follow any further out of fear of exposing herself once more and then getting hunted by KGB or CIA. However, now, with the world growing more peaceful, she saw the opportunity to finally carefully begin inserting herself into society again, little by little, through thralls and familiars and agents. She followed rumours about the re-emergence of the Nazis, about their networks and the like. About OdeSSA, HIAG, the Last Battalion and so many other names and organisations which were rumoured to exist or to have nefarious purposes. She wondered...could she still get a hold of that bastard Haegler and give him what he deserved?

      Decades later and many rumours and facts later, she finally had a lead in 2017, one that she of course followed. However, it appeared she was far from the only one who got the lead as the League of 12 had also rocked up there and stole her vengeance from her, eliminating the nazi leader once and for all...much to the Baroness' dismay as she would return to Prague thereafter and now turn her plots and schemes towards new goals. Or old goals that merely returned to the forefront of her mind now that her vendetta was seemingly over.

Strengths and Weaknesses
    Source of Power: Mutation through exposition to a large amount of interdimensional energy caused by the collapse of an unstable interdimensional gateway.
    Powers :
    • Capable of transferring objects into and out of another dimension he calls "pocket". Said objects must not be wider than 50 cm in diameter.
    • Objects who came in contact with this other dimension become invisible to the eye.
    • Capable of seeing a wider array of lights and colours, allowing him to also see the objects he has placed in the pocket.
    • Jaws have fused together, creating a fairly tough construction of bones in much of his face.
    Abilities:
    • Trained former member of the GIGN Paranormal Affairs Section
    • Trained in the handling of a variety of firearms
    • Trained in close quarters combat
    • Trained in the handling of explosives
    • Trained in breaking and entering
    • Trained in handling dangerous metahumans
    • Fast typer
    Equipment:
    • A wide array of handheld firearms
    • A good number of bayonets, army knives and throwing knives
    • Several Tomahawks and at least one crowbar
    • A bunch of military grade explosives
    • Several syringes with a highly nutritious food replacement liquid
    • A text-to-speech device
    Weaknesses:
    • Incapable of consuming food or drink via regular means, being relegated to an IV or his syringes.
    • The Nose. Extreme weakness. With him being only capable of breathing through his nose, the Mime makes extra sure that it is always cleared and protects it at all cost. Getting a runny nose can be fatal to him. Getting his nose broken is almost a death sentence.
    • Despite the objects having become invisible, they continue to throw a shadow. Heat signatures also still exist.


Background:
    Job: Contract Killer
    Legal Status: Wanted Criminal/French Citizen
    Backstory:
    Hubert was born in Metz in 1982 to an unassuming household consisting of a father in the police force and a mother working at the mayoral office. Of course Hubert grew up looking up to his father, despite or perhaps because of the regular beatings he received. He graduated with above average grades from his school and immediately entered the police force, serving with the Gendarmerie for 5 years before deciding that he needed to do his father even more proud and signing up with the GIGN. The training was grueling but Hubert persevered and eventually managed to become part of GIGN, being one of the top recruits he was assigned to the GIGN subsection that had to deal with metahumans.

    His first proper mission with the GIGN was to also be his last. In 2007 the GIGN was sent to take care of what appeared to be a cult to some godforsaken entity from another reality. The cultists had taken hostages and holed themselves up in the ruins of an old Templar Castle. The operation was going smoothly up untill they got eyes on the proceedings in the Central Stronghold. About a dozen or so cultists were chanting in an otherworldly language while dragging hostages into a circle carved into the stone, slitting their throats and letting them bleed out. The air above the circle was flirring, taking on a great many colours and shapes, some of which hurt to look at with the eyes.

    With the lives of the hostages at stake, GIGN was ordered to intervene. The cultists were killed within the blink of an eye and what few hostages remained were saved...or so everyone thought. Turns out that interrupting whatever spell they had been weaving to summon whatever ungodly messiah onto this world was a bad idea as the created tear within the fabric of reality began collapsing. In the process of this a large amount of interdimensional energy was released within one single shockwave, killing most of the hostages and GIGN present. Hubert was one of the few who survived, though he fell into a coma.

    He would wake up weeks later in a hospital and be confronted with the results of their mission. Not only were most of his comrades dead...he had been cursed with certain limitations. His ability to speak was gone. As was his ability to eat and drink. His jaws, bones, flesh and skin had fused together, creating nothing but a perfectly smooth surface on the lower half of his face. Hubert was horrified. And he was only going to become more horrified as he was suspended from the GIGN due to, in their opinion, not being capable of fulfilling their missions anymore. He had become a hideous freak without a job and was even on trial for potentially having fucked up the mission, together with all the other surviving GIGN members involved in the operation.

    Of course the case had to be dropped but it still left a sour taste in Hubert's forever closed mouth. What was he to do now? Become some clerk? Hah! Not without half his face! Maybe some other, better paying job? Well, he had wasted precious years of his life getting into the GIGN, he had no skills he could truly market and even then...he was a freak. At the very least he still had his parents, both of which lovingly cared for him...but he couldn't bear to stay with them, see the pain in their eyes whenever they had to look at his face, drain what little money they earned by not contributing to the household. Instead he did what he knew how to do. He kept himself in shape. Learned to type, quickly.

    The breakthrough then finally came when he, almost on accident, unlocked his new power. He was just trying to put the milk back into the fridge when...the milk instead vanished. He was confused and...and just put his hand where he had just put the milk...and voila, it was back in his hand! Slightly confused he put it back into the fridge and left...only to be called later by his mother, asking him where the milk was. He directed her to the fridge just for her to maintain that there was no milk. He went to the fridge and pulled the milk out, waving it before her face...just for her to ask him to stop playing such pranks on her, it wasn't funny. It was at this point that Hubert realized he had powers. It was at this point he realized that he had joined the ranks of his enemies...yet this also offered him new possibilities.

    He left his parents' house later that day. From his time in the Gendarmerie he had some knowledge of the criminal underworld, knowledge he used to put himself out on the job market, marketing his skills. At first he tried theft...but he did not like the idea of being some common thief and...well...the fact that everything he stole also turned invisible kind of lowered the value of the things he stole by a lot. So...he decided to become a contract killer instead. From 2010 onward he was taking hits from a variety of people against targets all over Europe and North Africa. A few times he even ventured into the new world. He took an alias for his activities, calling himself the Mime.

    From 2017 onward, the Mime took a long term contract from the RIG, taking care of various...problematic targets for the corporation. The contract paid very well so he had little reason to complain.

    Even after extensive biological modifications, Ricardo still stands at 5'10 and weighs approximately 141 pounds, giving him a lean, athletic build that still cuts an imposing presence in any room. However, his facial and body structure has been altered to some degree in an attempt to enhance and transform his natural superpowers.

    The most notable transformation came in the structure of his mouth, which has been made wider in order to accommodate a reconstructed tongue. Instead of a normal human tongue, Ricardo has a thick, five-root elastic tongue that's anchored in his mouth through hyoid bones. In order to avoid breaking his teeth every time he extends his tongue, his pearly whites have been flattened and reduced in size, resembling a herbivore's jawline. Ricardo's eyes have also been radically altered, and as a result of the drastic cosmetic and biological changes, he wears sunglasses on a near-constant basis. The sockets of his eyes have been slightly pushed forward in order to give him a wider field of vision, and his top and bottom eyelids have been fused together to only permit a small gap in the middle of his pupils. Both eyes are able to move independently of one another, but this is difficult to see due to how narrow the openings of his eyes are. Additionally, the skin of his body, face, and scalp has a slightly scaly texture to it, and he tends to shed scales in small patches on a semi-frequent basis. These shedding cycles become more heavy and intense when he is experiencing deep emotional stress or anxiety.

    To preserve his ability to walk and use his hands, few modifications have been made to his torso and lower body. His hands and palms have been slightly altered, being larger in size with longer fingers than the average man. He also carries a 29-inch prehensile tail fixed to his tailbone, which matches his body's skin tone in color and is visibly muscular and corded appearance. This tail is usually folded down the inseam of his pants while moving about. Finally, his hands, palms, and chest all have a slightly waxy, shiny appearance as a result of adhesive substances that are secreted through his body's cells.

Strengths and Weaknesses

    Source of Power: A combination of genetic mutations and black-market medical operations.

    Powers:
    • Camouflage Field: Ricardo's original power, and the only one that wasn't obtained through a set of grueling, painful constructive surgeries. In essence, Ricardo is able to take a five-by-five-foot field and bend light around it, with light curving around the field and filling up the space behind. This allows him to make his body and clothes essentially invisible to the human eye, with little way of circumventing the field without a specific ability to bend light. As a result of his affiliations with chameleons, it's become something of a widely-circulating misconception that he can change the color of his skin like the lizards, when in actuality, the power is much closer to commonly-held perceptions of "invisibility".

    • Sensory Concealment: As an extension of the Camouflage Field, Ricardo holds a few more tricks to get around typical sensory devices and capabilities. For one, he has the ability to suppress and conceal the signature of his own body heat to outside receptors, preventing him from being tracked through thermal vision or thermal imaging equipment. As well, any footsteps or strides he makes are completely inaudible and are masked to both biological or man-made hearing systems. However, this power doesn't extend to all sounds produced by him, just his footsteps.

    • Chameleon Physiology: A long-standing "passion" for reptilian studies has led to Ricardo undergoing various experimental black-market procedures in order to adopt several qualities of wild chameleons into his own body. Listed below is a summary of the major changes to his body and their effects:
      • Chameleon Vision - Multi-Directional Sight: Through grueling operations and training, Ricardo has trained himself to master multi-directional vision and adapt to a chameleon's way of seeing the world. Unlike the human eyes, which move simultaneously, Ricardo can move each single eye independently of the others, allowing him to focus on targets while also monitoring his field of vision to take in additional information. This field of vision is slightly larger at the sides than the average human field of vision as a result of his eye sockets being pushed forward, allowing Ricardo to take in a massive amount of visual information at all times.
      • Chameleon Vision - Clear Focus: In addition to the overall direction and movement of his eyes, Ricardo's eyes themselves have been structurally altered to improve his vision resolution and focus. The lens of his eyes has been made concave and the cornea convex in order to magnify images created by the retina and allow for more precise visual focusing. Additionally, because the nodal points in his eyes are behind the axis in which they rotate, the image created by his retinas is the main method by which he judges distance and he can evaluate depth perception through the rotation of just one eye. The benefit of this is that he doesn't need to turn his head to focus and evaluate distance, he simply needs to spin his eye in place.
      • Prehensile Tongue: Much like a chameleon, Ricardo has an elastic tongue that can be projected out from his mouth. His tongue is a thick, pink cord about five feet in length, and although it lacks the ultra-sticky quality of a chameleon's tongue, he is able to flex and curl the end of it to wrap around and grab certain objects. It is anchored in his mouth through a system of hyoid bones and folded elastic muscles, and when he wishes to project the tongue, these elastic muscles let off their potential energy to snap the appendage forward. Retractor muscles are engaged to reel the tongue back in at a slower speed. The force of this strike outwards is very powerful; at its maximum speed and strength, the force of the snap is enough to shatter ribs and limb bones. Additionally, the tongue is muscled and strong; if coiled correctly around a fixture, it can sustain Ricardo's entire body weight without tearing.
      • Prehensile Tail: A strong, muscular 29-inch appendage fused to Ricardo's tailbone that is mostly used for climbing, balance, and offensive capabilities. He has control over the tail's movement and can use it to lash and strike others with moderate force similar to that of a human kick. When coiled correctly, it can also sustain his entire body weight.
      • Adhesives: Ricardo's fingertips, palms, and chest secrete a waxy, sticky adhesive in small quantities that allows for the reptilian man to stick and adhere to various surfaces. The adhesive is very powerful, with the ability to stick to most common surfaces and the ability to easily tear skin and hair if physical contact is made. However, it is less effective against highly smooth, slippery surfaces such as ice or surfaces covered in non-viscous liquid, as the liquid dilutes the power of the adhesive.

    Abilities:
    • How to Rob: When you stick-up and rob drug dealers for a living, you start to become something of an expert at it. Ricardo is street-smart, cunning, and organizationally-minded, able to conceive and execute countless well-planned robberies, heists, and murders. His visual enhancements and overall intelligence make him excellent at surveillance, scouting, disguise, and ambush, making it incredibly difficult to escape from him once you're caught in his tongue. He's far from he strongest metahuman in direct combat, but when you set traps as elegantly as he does, there's no need to fight head-on.

    • Physical Prowess: A former three-sport athlete in high school and a D1 college athlete on top of that, Ricardo spent most of his youth in top-tier shape. Since then, he has continued to keep himself in peak physical condition and supports his newfound physiological powers with an impressive amount of strength and endurance.

    Equipment:

    • Multiple fake passports, including documents for France, Canada, and Australia
    • A set of bulletproof body armor that he wears underneath his usual shirts/garments
    • An small illusionary device that clips to his collar, uses holographic technology to mask his body and avoid drawing attention through his noticeable reptilian features.

    Weaknesses:
    • Optical Confusion: While Ricardo is largely able to see and effectively use his optical transformations, it isn't his natural system of vision and he's only able to navigate it through the benefit of strenuous practice. As a result, he can become confused or overwhelmed at times, especially if he is swarmed by different individual targets or attempts to overuse his multidirectional abilities. This can lead to incorrect depth perception, difficulty focusing on specific objects, or even total blurriness and loss of his vision as he struggles to coordinate his two eyes.

    • Sticky Fingers: Due to the sticky adhesives created by the skin on Ricardo's hands, he is forced to constantly keep his hands clean and must wipe or wash his hands clean on a regular basis. If he allows too much adhesive to build up on his hands, performing basic tasks with his hands such as shooting, writing, opening doors, or even grabbing and dropping objects becomes an infinitely more complex task.

    • Limited Field: Ricardo's concealment abilities only exist for very specific indicators of his presence. They can mask the visual appearance of his body and clothes, his body heat signature, and the sound of his footsteps. Nothing more, nothing less. They cannot mask his scent, the sounds made from objects he touches or uses (i.e, bumping into a table or loading a gun), or the sounds of other components/actions of his body aside from his footsteps. As a result, he can still be tracked by precise technology, metahumans with enhanced olfactory abilities, or by his own clumsy mistakes. The latter is rare, but rare isn't never.

    • Moral Code: Ricardo, despite his criminal ties, holds a strict moral code when committing crimes. The most notable facet of this code is that he will never lay a finger, a cut, or so much as a scratch against a child, and will often hold back or stop warring entirely if he's afraid that a child will get caught in the crossfire. It lets him sleep peacefully at the end of the day, but it can also lead to terse and complicated situations when shit hits the fan, and this can weakness can be very easily exploited against him.


Background:
    Job: Hitman, stick-up man, and robber. Former member of the New York Shower Posse gang.
    Legal Status: Holds both Jamaican and American passports. Is currently wanted in the United States for second-degree murder, armed robbery, and assault charges, and is believed to be hiding in Jamaica. Has fluctuated in and out of various most-wanted metahumans lists internationally.

    Backstory: Ricardo Blessing Palmer III was born on March 13th, 1981, in the Bronx borough of New York City, to Jamaican parents. He was largely raised by his grandmother and mother due to his father's imprisonment following a DEA sting and frequently moved around New York City, living in Melrose, Ozone Park, and Highbridge at various points throughout his early life. Despite his difficult upbringing, Ricardo was largely able to avoid the same pipelines that had trapped so many of his friends and peers growing up, largely thanks to his athletic talents. As a high-school athlete, he was three-sport, rotating between the soccer, rugby, and track teams for four years. After being named an All-American player in his last two years of high school, he made the cut for Duke University's Division I soccer team and attended the school to study psychology. However, following a series of injuries that limited his play-time for the team, he dropped out of college following his second year and was arrested for marijuana charges.

    Following a brief jail stint, he moved back home to Highbridge and moved back in with his grandmother following the death of his mother due to breast cancer. It was there that he reconnected with most of his old neighborhood and became affiliated with members of the Shower Posse, the infamous Jamaican gang with a massive footprint across the Northeastern United States. Impressed by his metahuman abilities, a unique attribute that he had been capable of wielding since childhood, he quickly rose through the gang's ranks and became a feared marksman in their arsenal. His smarts, combined with his ability to slip out of literal shadows and thin air, made him a highly successful robber and enforcer, and he was often tasked with sticking up drug dealers from rival gangs. For this, he was feared, but he was also respected. He was respected for his strict moral code, including his hatred of profanity, his adherence to Christianity, and his refusal to allow harm to befall children, which included refusing to target mothers. He was respected for the care he displayed towards his family, paying for his grandmother's medical bills before his own rent and often escorting her across the neighborhood. As well, he was respected for his thirst for knowledge, often voraciously reading, self-studying his unfinished college courses, and taking an interest in all things academic, particularly biology.

    Ricardo was entranced by the study of reptiles, particularly chameleons, to the point of near-obsession at points. He constantly marveled and spoke of the wonders of chameleons, compared himself to the chameleon, and even began requesting that gang members begin to refer to him as "Anolis" after a genus of lizards. As he climbed through the ranks of the Shower Posse and began to dictate a large number of their street-based operations, the names "Chameleon" and "Anolis" began to come dangerous callsigns, indicators that there was nowhere in New York City that you could be safe, not even inside your own bedroom. With this image came money, lots of it, and with his newfound riches, Ricardo began to invest in all the black market had to offer, going through multiple torturous surgeries and rehab processes in an attempt to enhance his own body and further replicate the chameleon. It started with just the adhesive on his hands, but within a few years, it extended to his tailbone, his tongue, his skin, and eventually, most prominently, his eyes. It took an entire year to recover from the eye surgery and its corresponding nervous operation, spending months in his house reteaching himself how to see, but it was worth it. It was worth it for the fear that was struck in every low-level pusher's heart every time he took his glasses off.

    Unfortunately, it didn't last. In 2019, he was summoned to an apartment in Queens, where he was ordered by top-ranking members of his gang to carry out a hit on a rival leader's pregnant girlfriend, an act which he refused due to his own morality. What happened next is somewhat unclear and has been distorted by rumors across New York City, but when the police showed up at the scene of the crime a few minutes later, they found three high-ranking lieutenants of the NYC Shower Posse, two dead from gunshot wounds, the third having been brutally beaten with a handgun. Anolis was the main suspect in all three incidents. The Posse attempted to take revenge for the murders by sending multiple teenage members of the gang to Anolis' grandmother's house to exploit his code and ambush him, but the kids were instead met by a vacated residence. When they broke inside, they found a list of their own family members and their addresses' on the kitchen counter, with a written plea to leave the house.

    Panicking, one of the teenagers brought the list to the police and confessed to the entire incident timeline, including the fact that Anolis was behind the murders. By the time the NYPD and DMA pieced together the details of the crime and ID'd Anolis through DNA from his past convictions, they were too late to stop him. Using a legal passport, he had boarded a flight out of JFK to Kingston, Jamaica, and went into hiding in the island nation.

    Extradition treaty issues with Jamaica, combined with local community members' resistance to police presence in their areas, have significantly delayed law enforcement's attempts to find Anolis, and they have been unable to find his place of hiding. In fact, nobody's quite sure where he is. His grandmother, having developed Alzheimer's disease, was placed in a nursing home shortly prior to Anolis' flight and was of little use to police efforts. Eyewitnesses and airport records show that he did in fact board a flight to Kingston, but given his access to false documents and glamour tech, it is entirely possible that he has left the country since then and is living elsewhere. Only two real footprints remain in the United States; a fluctuating entry on the DMA's list of Most Wanted Metahumans, and the rumors of a since-damaged West Indian gang, one that used to be run by a figure that was half-chameleon, half-man, and strange in whatever was left over.

Strengths and Weaknesses

    Powers :
    Song Augmentation: Through the power of song, her emotion, imagination can augment and change the world around, to a point. From small changes which may take as little as hummed notes, say, a small flame in your hand, to powerful ballads and choruses which grant temporary but incredible power. With a range of around 150m/500ft, the mundane world around her may become subject to her bag of tricks and illusions, gaslighting on a whole new level, and this powerless girl may yet into a rampaging monster, sometimes literally. Powers, abilities, experiences, skills, outright transformations and weapons and equipment - buffs, statuses, conditions, amplifications/upgrading and abilities for allies - debuffs, statuses, conditions, downgrading/dilution and environmental effects for enemies. The possibilities are an endless toolkit to any assassin, provided they wisely choose their tools, too many and even the greatest of artisans will break themselves. Even then, some natural barriers incur themselves, range being just one - but also physical limitations. The laws of physics while highly bendable and borderline ignored in some cases, still exist, and she can't simply augment herself into godhood. Even her most powerful transformations could lob *only* a bus or two at you (busses weigh 12.5-20 tons each! I googled.), but not a tank. Could almost keep up with your car on the county road, but not the freeway. Fly fast, beyond your airliners, but never your jet fighters, not the modern ones anyway. Hits that may destroy a large house but never an underground a bunker, so on and so forth. Other limits include: Instant death or revival, she is once again, not a god. While the ability to up herself from normal human to low-mid level superhuman is impressive, it is still only that. Similar logic can be applied to everything that doesn't affect her directly, buffing and debuffing can only go so far, and even her illusions and maluses are not immutable. Even if they were there's only so many you can use at once, no amount of swiftness in changing them out will make up for that. If 20 options simply won't get the job done, you've done a bad job anyway and cooked yourself.

    Furthermore, the type of song and even its lyrics can add further restrictions to what exactly it can do, and no matter what, Conditions or Transformations will always count as 10, no matter if they're a fraction of the maximum strength she could push them, or at the maximum. Something like straight, simple air manipulation is 1 - air manipulation plus say, electricity immunity and pressure manipulation is 3, weapons no more complex than small arms are 1 each. If they have some form of enhanced ammo or affect, 1 per effect/weapon. Conditions or transformations for allies also cost 10, and doing two doubles the strain of just augmenting herself, slashing time limits. Other gifts to allies count for 1:1, while negative affects directly on enemies count as 2:1 (Abilities/Targets). Environmental effects all count for 1 standard, including illusions and such, and all options of this value in any use can be strengthened at higher cost.

    Innocence Inducement: There is a natural air of unshakable innocence to the daytime pop star, nighttime murderer. Her mere presence carries with it the subtle connotation of purity and innocence, as if she could do no wrong, and hurt not a fly. When she speaks, her voice can magnify this passive effect into a potent, gently corrupting force, convincing you of more than her mere innocence and other lies. Her ability to induce an impossible innocence upon herself naturally lends itself further to being able to convince most people of near anything she wants to them to believe, provided its not completely detached from reality, and gently pull out the emotions and reactions she's looking for. The dream power for any Social Engineer, and a necessary saving throw for someone who can only be truly strong for the duration of a Billboards Top 100 track.


    Peak Human Condition: Being one of the more dangerous assassins in the world today, she has naturally been trained and even aided slightly by some substances not allowed in any proper competition, to achieve and maintain the peak of standard human ability. Though she is barely average in stature, she is far heavier and stronger than would be expected, deadlifting up to 475lbs. While impressive, her athletic ability as it broadly applies to speed, agility, endurance and such is where the real shine exists - reaching a running speed of 34mph and able to perform advanced acrobatics and parkour while doing so, and keep this up to disappear across a city from many pursuers. In the event she makes a mistake, with the aid of her athleticism breaking the impact, even survive most falls she's likely to encounter with minor injuries, from as high as 15 stories, or take low-caliber bullets to the few non-lethal areas for one to hit a body and still be able to push through the injury.
    Abilities:
    Cloak and Dagger: As comes naturally to a spy, she is gifted in the skills of the trade, powers just made it easy. She is a masterful social engineer and in crafting disguise. Highly trained and experienced in close quarters across multiple forms and arts, and multiple languages; English, French, German, Russian, Chinese, Turkish, Spanish and Hindi. Stealth and evasion as well as a dash of ballistics and a helping of chemistry and biology for everything from poison to torture, and where to press and the angle at which best to stab. And of course lastly, with firearms, some things powers just can't replace.

    Weaknesses:
    The Show Must Go On: Somewhat unideally, her real power only lasts the duration of a song, most of which are 3-5 minutes at the longest. She can of course like any good musician perform encores. Like any concert though, even a high-speed adrenaline fueled murder concert, it takes time to switch. That time may only be a second or two in the case of possibly the greatest in the world, but that's 1 or 2 seconds of vulnerability, something many of her enhanced opponents could take advantage of. Furthermore, as a performer, she must in some way or another announce the song she's using. An act that could tip off an opponent who knows about her to take what few seconds they may have left to end it.

    Still Human, of course: While a very strong and impressive human, it turns out being one means bullets still hurt and kill, bones still break, and fighting the superhuman lifting cars is a bad idea. Against opponents beyond this, there is little hope but surviving long enough to start the encore.

    Vocal Strain: Singing normally is something she could do until the universe itself ends without trouble. Singing while augmenting herself to become a temporary badass? Hurts like this job does for normal people. More than that, actually! The more abilities she uses the more difficult and strenuous the song becomes. If she's in perfect vocal health, 12-15 minutes per day at maximum strain. Though with the clever usage of a passive healing ability while doing so, this can be increased to 20 or even 30 minutes, at the cost of other using other abilities of course. Past this point, the options are either tone it down, or accept that you're going to be severely weakened for a few days, if not outright rendered powerless while it heals. Desperate situations may even force her into the risk of losing her voice for weeks to permanently, an obvious career ender.

    Silence For the Lambs: An easy way to avoid all this is to just not let her sing. Gags are extremely effective, as is anything else that would otherwise mute her. It will be more difficult to do this midsong, as her voice will become part of the environment along with the song itself, but will stop whatever murderous machinations she's in the middle of dead in their tracks. Similarly, being deaf makes any attempts to directly affect you completely useless, as well as heavily cutting into her ability to get away with literal murder by inexplicably making people think she's innocent. Ability to deafen could also prevent your allies from being affected, or hers from being boosted. Lastly, traits like sociopathy/psychopathy, apathy, or anything else with affects emotions (even including ADHD, Depression and others to varying extents) can inhibit her ability to pull out and use certain emotions even with her voice, or are outright immune in the case of emotionlessness.

    Fear of The Unknown: Excellent research doesn't always cut it, sometimes you don't know what your opponents ability or condition is going into a fight. This can result in some abilities she may use being marginalized or outright countered, or even being weaknesses. It may prevent her from even being able to really resist, if their unknown abilities include silencing her.

    Makeshift Augmentation: Manifestations made in her warped augmented world are more brittle and easy to break than their real counterparts. Hit a real shield with enough force to put a large crack in it, and that’s what you get. Do the same to a manifested one, and it will begin crumbling apart. Use ammo in a manifested gun that breaches its ability to safely fire? It’ll explode and turn into nothing. This is also true of any manifested creatures. Furthermore, being outside her zone of affect means you won’t experience any environmental affects and it will be impossible to directly affect you with debuffs or anything else.

    Avery Stevens: Assassin and adopted daughter of the Sokolov Crime family, powers unknown, killed in Archangelsk in July 2021 after a firefight with authorities, legally deceased.
    Violet Villin: Currently known only as "ViVi", wanted as a suspect in dozens of murders, unknown powers and abilities, last reported (unconfirmed) sighting near Perm, Russia.
    Sophia Ainsworth: Legal citizen of the UK, daughter of the now passed well-off Ainsworth's, lives in a modest estate to the East of Liverpool, United Kingdom, where she lives off her parents inheritance and performs as a rising Indie music star on multiple social media platforms.
    Backstory:
    Avery Stevens was born in 1997 to poor working class parents in Plymouth, UK. There wasn't much to tell here, she had the typical life of a child born to parents of her class in this time. Both worked and were often absent the home, dad in particular had gambling and drinking problems that weren't exactly a rarity in the area. Nothing eventful or notable really occured.

    Until 2002, when Plymouth police received a report from the Stevens that their daughter Avery had gone missing. A massive operation searching for her was underwent, and lasted for nearly two weeks. No body was ever recovered, nor any trace of her whereabouts seen. Avery Stevens had simply, it seemed, fell off the face of the earth, without a trace. Or, so was the official police report. The reality was much simpler, and darker.

    Avery's father in his drunkard gambling had, as drunk gamblers of poor strata oft do, gotten himself into some money problems. No matter, he'd simply take a loan and win the next pot. Or the next. Or... you know the drill. He never did win, but his money was still due, and he had no assets of any value with which to pay. So naturally, he did the only thing he could think to do. Sell his own daughter to them, of course. A rising star in the European underworld to whom he owed his debt, would also be the trafficker of Avery to her fate. Little Lucifer, is all they called him.

    Just a few weeks later, a buyer would be found, one who took an odd interest in her. Something about this child was off, her mere presence had this ineffable aura of purity and innocence. When she spoke, it was with a flawless beauty and perfection beyond humanity, more akin to an angels song than a humans cry. It would turn out a few months later, shortly after her sixth birthday, that her voice could do so much more than soothe and amaze. For when she sung, reality itself shook in spectacular awe of the performance, and would dance kindly to her melodious whim.

    The Sokolov family, a struggling mafia in Western Russia, would learn of her power the hard way. Though she was barely a toddler, she did not show the fear or timidity of the other children. When given power, even when she did not know what exactly it was or would do, nor its consequences, she cared for none of them. She had been given power, she had a will to achieve with it, and that's all that went through her mind. Many good men would never see their families after this day. On the orders of the head of the family, she was apprehended alive, and unharmed, one of the metas working for the family possessing an ability to shut her mouth long enough to see consciousness removed peacefully.

    From this day onward, Avery Stevens would be trained as an assassin, spy, and one of the most valuable assets of the Sokolov family. Her power was kept a secret, and to this day remains unknown even after her death. It is unclear how many lives she is responsible for taking, but it is known that she was a key piece - a kingmaker - to the Sokolov rise to power during the 2000s. It is known her talents proved so valuable, that the relationship with the man known as Little Lucifer remained strong with the family during their side-by-side rise to dominate their spheres. By the 2010s the Sokolov family had come to subjugate all of Russia and Eastern Europe, those who did not submit willingly, were often known to vanish in a series of mass killings. The exact methodology of these attacks is unknown to this day, but urban legends suggest that the mysterious Avery Stevens was the responsible party in most of these instances.

    In 2015, the Sokolov's joined with their now longtime and close ally in the west, known as Little Lucifer, in an operation to totally subjugate the European underworld under their combined force - The Syndicate. They are known to have provided, quote, "Significant and impressive assistance" in the destruction of the Ordinariate of Azrael, an ancient organization of assassins which once dominated Europe, and whose destruction cemented unified criminal rule over Europe for the next 3 years. Avery Stevens once more comes up as a suspected but unconfirmed member of the operation.

    After the Syndicate's fall in 2018, the Sokolov family came under massive organized investigation from numerous Governments, including two major powers - Russia and China. Backed by Eastern Europe, Central Asia and Caucuses countries, the mafia family was assaulted on all sides and slowly dismantled piece by piece for 3 years in a bloody struggle between Law and Chaos, that at times would border on civil conflict. Russian and Eastern European Heroes and metahumans suffered extremely during this campaign, the Sokolov's seeming to often find ability, even in their death throes, to secure massive and cataclysmic ambushes resulting in massive casualties time and time again.

    Avery Stevens, now Avery Sokolov since 2015, believed to be a major component of these attacks. She was cornered and killed alone in Archangelsk, Russia, in July 2021. She was the last of the Sokolov name, not one of whom had been taken alive in the investigation. Fighting between government forces and Sokolov remnants continued for several weeks after, though their scope and severity had overwhelmingly diminished overnight since the death of Avery. The ace assassin is suspected of being involved in hundreds of murders according to word of mouth sources - the only sources left.

    Since then, a rising entity by the name of ViVi has begun operating in the Eastern underworld, though she is currently under the radar of federal governments, and is as mysterious as the recently passed Avery Stevens-Sokolov.

    In the UK, the wealthy family of the Ainsworth's recently passed away quietly in their estate outside Liverpool. They were succeeded by their only child, Sophia, aged 25. She currently lives comfortably in the estate off inheritance, and slowly builds a career online as an Indie singer. She is incredibly skilled, seeming never to miss a note, and to inspire her fans into unimaginable devotion. Their near cult-like reverence of her is off-putting to most, yet seemingly all who give in to curiosity find themselves among the rabble in no time at all.

    The Sokolov family is officially dismantled as of July 2021, and their operations have fragmented into tiny fiefdoms struggling to survive. The Sokolov name is rid from history, the last to bear the name, and to die with it, their adopted daughter from a human trafficking deal. Eastern Europe is now safe to recover from its brutal wounds, and China now enjoys a more orderly northern territory, having bore a low personal cost for the bounty. There is no belief at all that any major players of the Sokolov operation are still alive or at-large.

He has messy black hair and brown eyes. He has a set of seemingly unhealing 3rd degree burns which form a circular pattern on his back. Looks perpetually sick.


Motivations
    Goals: Absorp all the electricity in the world, bring down modern civilization, have vengeance on Animist.
    Fears: His fear has already realized and he has survived it.


Strengths and Weaknesses
    Source of Power: A "symbiotic" relationship with an Amazonian nature spirit responsible for control over the thunder and lighting.
    Powers :
    Electricity Absoprtion
    He can absorb electricity into his body by touching the energy, or an active conductor. He can even extract electrical signals from one's nervous system if he can stick his hand into it. As such he is rather obviously also immune to electricity and electric attacks. Theoretically there is no limit to the amount of energy his body can store, but it is still a finite resource.

    Lighting
    He can shoot lighting out of his finger tips, and any other part of his body for that matter if he wished so. Simple as that.

    Electromagnetic Shield
    He can create a cage of electricity that stops any metal object from exiting or entering it around a 5 meter radius of himself. This unfortunately is a two way sword as he also cannot attack with anything made from metal while using this ability. Plastic and other non-metallic objects can still pass through.

    Healing
    While absorbing electricity in high enough proportions he can heal himself, provided the amount of electricity entering him is higher than that exiting him.

    An Attached God
    He has a nature spirit attached to himself. To a person who can see souls it would appear as a starved dark blue humanoid without the lower portion of the body, where that portion should be is instead attached to the wounds on Emilio's back. The arms are long, with hands looking like those of a horribly underweight person, unless they are touching the ground, at which they are shrouded in a mist. The head has no mouth or nose, but features two sunken black eyes with small dots of light in the middle, and two horns growing from its temple. The abdomen extends whenever the spirit is moving further from its host.

    Abilities:
    Brazilian Army Training.
    Survival Training.
    Hand-to-Hand Combat expertise.
    Buff.
    Equipment: a visibly used Machete.
    Weaknesses:
    Limited Capacity
    Emilio's body has within itself stored electricity that he absorped. In case it runs out, which is a real possibility no matter how much energy he stores inside himself, Emilio will be left powerless.

    Closed Circuit
    In case that Emilio is hurt to the point of drawing blood, from his wound will start violently spewing electricity, depleting his resources incredibly fast.

    Parasite's Host
    The God which attached itself to Emilio has actually duped him. In exchange for his powers, the spirit parasitized Emilio. Already in just its weakened, the spirit has made Emilio much more sickly and weaker than he should be. Additionally the spirit has a considerable negative effect on Emilio's psyche. In case he actually accomplishes his goal, the spirit will takeover Emilio's body fully, killing him.


Background:
    Job: Currently none.
    Legal Status: Brazilian Citizenship. Unregistered metahuman. Criminal.
    Backstory:
    Emilio was born to a poor family in a favela in Manaus and as such he had to deal with the organized crime since he was a child. These experiences have impacted young Emilio greatly, seeing his father extorted for 'protection', seeing his mother abused, and seeing his brother die in a shootout as a bystander. Emilio grew to resent the cartels which ruled the favelas, he grew to resent the government which couldn't help the people living in the slums. The only place in which he many times felt comfortable, were brief trips to the rainforest.

    But as he was growing up, he saw only one way out of poverty, in some ironic twist of fate, that was in the Brazilian Armed Forces. And for his exemplary service, as well as locality to the Amazon rainforest, he was transferred to a Jungle Infantry Brigade which was stationed in his native Manaus.

    And he was also one of the first responders during the Animist incident. And he was nearly killed, hurled many miles into the forest, impaled on vines, and poisoned by a hallucinogenic gas, he remembered staring at the Beast itself. He was lost and mortally wounded. And then, as he was lying in the mud dying, a being, a apirit, a forgotten God of a forgotten tribe, crawled out, which offered power, which offered revenge, which offered survival. He took it.

    Lighting struck Emlio's back several times, carving the pattern on it. It was painful, it was nearly as painful as everything the Animist has done. But it healed him, it gave him power. He rose and found the spirit attached to himself, clinging to his shoulder like a devil, whispering into his ear. Yet, with its help Emilio made it out of the rainforest.

    And since then he had carved a bloody path through both government representatives and forces, as through the criminal underworld of Latin America. With several major power outages linked to him. But in his treck he eventually assumed a northern trajectory. He was last spotted entering the wilderness, heading for the Nicaragua-Honduras border.

I'm sorry; I violated the rules of pt2m, post quality, and my own character's teleportation limit, as Anowa pointed out to me in a telegram. I'm new to this style of roleplay and I want to know if you want me to leave this roleplay, forever or for a certain amount of time/until certain conditions are met. I would like to know because I respect your roleplay and don't want to ruin it for anyone. If you do want me to leave then I will; I won't spam any of you or the roleplay. Again, I apologize.
