It still befuddles me to this day that people are actually flying over and signing up to fight. It’s not even your own country.

Some people, especially in Europe, realize its not just a fight for Ukraine, its a fight for the future of Europe and keeping an imperialist power out of their influence and also making said power collapse further. It makes sense to me. And not everyone is self-centered about their country being the only one that matters.

The fight against imperialism is transnational. The more people willing to stand against wars of aggression through direct, militant opposition is a net positive for humanity as a whole. Let empires bleed for every victory they achieve.

Which is why you don't go fight in a Forign country

American history is filled with examples of foreigners who came and fought in the American military or militias, especially in the Revolution. There's risks but sometimes for some people they've got a reason to fight that's greater than that.

The Brits captured in Mariupol both lived in Ukraine and at least one had a Ukrainian fiancé. Telling them not to fight for Ukraine would be like saying the millions of American soldiers who were immigrants through our history shouldn't have fought for the Untied States.

It was actually fairly common in 1800s Europe for military officers to switch allegiance between the various empires. German officers joining the Continental Army, British officers joining the Russian Imperial Army, etc.

Eh the main difference is that pay in the American military was shit. Foreigners who joined the continental army generally did it ore out of revolutionary fervor or sense of adventure, or both. Although a fair number of Hessians were persuaded to come over with offers of land as pay for service.

Mad props to anyone hoing over to help out Ukraine even after reports of atrocities like Mariupol and Bucha. Absolutely fearless. God be with them.

Can't do that though, I'm stuck with only undesirable options.

No one cares about your personal circumstances, they're only telling you to go fight in Ukraine yourself to call out your armchair general bullshit.

Ifreann, this has been a war where armchair generals and OSINT seems to be more competent than actual Russian generals/commanders and the FSB in the field. Frankly IDK why Putin isn't offering Saiwania millions of dollars to lead his armies - it'd be a clear improvement to the current leadership of Russia, if only because there doesn't seem to be a standard to pass.

Wait, let me guess; there is only liberation when Ukraine "eventually" repels the Russian operation, right?

The invasion and liberation are one in the same.

Also, Zelensky's promise of ten year resistance sounds awfully similar to an a thousand year promise...

We still on the whole "Judeo-Ukro-Nazi" bullshit?

Literally just saw someone doing that on YouTube actually. Guess since there was atrocities in the civil war committed by the Ukrainians before hand that means that the Russians are now the good guys. Just ignore all the war crimes committed by the Separatist and Russians.

Its the same bullshit people do to point at the excesses of Sherman's march to the sea as evidence that the Union was the bad guys or something.

Sai would probably mess it up worse than the Russian army tbh, he's a NEET with some weird unrealistic ideas about war. If I were to lead a conquest of the second-largest country in Europe, I'd start with at least 500,000 troops.

It feels like they don't have any other arguments to justify the Russian invasion, so they masked it as a liberation. When clearly it isn't, and despite all of it they keep repeating the same old speech over and over again.

They don't add anything to Russia's pros. (Assuming they have any)

Also my question. Now I'll preface it by saying I'm not an AK guy and that I'm not very experienced with them so I could be wrong, but that rifle sure as hell looks like it's missing a bolt to me.

If true the guy seems more like a spokesman or publicity stunt for the Legion then someone they actually want on the field.

Are we looking at the same picture? The bolt is in the rifle in the video I saw of him with an AK.

If Russia were to open up another front in this war by invading Finland and Sweden because one or both join NATO, I do suggest that this is when Japan should invade and try to annex the Kuril islands they want to grab in that island chain, just to make this war more interesting. I believe Russia's ability to fight on multiple fronts is stretched thin or to breaking point.

Japan has an upcoming 6th generation fighter jet that is going to be awesome.

As much as I'd love to see the Russian military collapse, I'd hate to see Finland and Sweden be dragged directly into the war too.
