Stork Rifle (SM92-R)

Image
Image

Price: 1,780.20 (second-hand / used) / 2,100.00 (refurbished / brand new) NSD

The Stork Rifle or SM92-R (Stork Model 92 - Rifle), was a bolt-action rifle made by the Stork Hunting Company, intended as a sporting rifle for the elite and noble classes. It was a popular hunting rifle mainly due to its straight-pull action, making it fast to reload the cartridge into the chamber. This, along with the company's customary wooden choices, made it popular among the nobles and elite who often used the Janpian maple wood as the body of the rifle. The Stork rifle was also presented to the Emperor, who was delighted after shooting down a stork at Helgo Bay from his balcony at the Darlinburg Imperial Palace. Following the presentation, the Stork Rifle was adopted as the standard issue rifle of the Janpian Imperial Forces. The primary wooden frame of the rifle is made of walnut or birch wood, which was plentiful around the Balhore region where the Stork Company was used to operate.

The Stork Rifle was used in various conflicts from the 4th era Janpian civil war and was used in many conflicts until the introduction of the SKR-7 Assault Rifle. With the company overlords replaced by a worker's union, the Stork's industrial means, along with its products, were manufactured by a labor union, producing armaments for the Janpian Union of Government Worker's Party. During this era, the Stork Rifle did not undergo many changes or modifications other than slight adjustments to the barrel cleaner, the type of wood used, and the rifle's stock.
Image
Stork Rifle with bayonet attachment

The rifle shoots a powerful 7.92x57mm cartridge, which was plentiful at that time thanks to the colonizers' leftovers. The said ammo also has high versatility and performance, having an improved maximum effective range and a smoother trajectory, compared to the formerly issued ammunition. It is perfect as a marksman rifle since it provides an efficient range of over a kilometer, making it deadly and efficient on medium to long ranges. Being the universal main battle rifle of the Janpian Imperial Army, the rifle features a birch or a walnut and beech laminate finish, along with customizable sights for the user. The rifle uses a solid one-piece laminated plywood stock, which is much more durable and stronger while also being cheap and fast to produce. The steel and cupped buttplate were added by the Stork Worker's Union, adding comfort and better recoil control for the user. The Stork rifle also comes with a bayonet accessory that is easy to attach or remove at the end of the rifle, along with a telescopic sight for sniping purposes. The older issued rifles have an imperial symbol stamped at the receiver, along with the serial number which indicates when the rifle was manufactured. However, these are different compared to the Revolutionary-issued rifles, with the afternoon sun symbol, the serial number indicating the date it was produced, and the rifle's factory line.

In modern times, the rifle is still being produced for public ranges, or reserve stockpiling. The type of wood remains the same, though the end-user can specify which wood shall be used for the rifle's body frame.

Stork Rifle (Modernized)

Postby Janpia » Wed Apr 06, 2022 7:53 pm

Stork Rifle (Modernized) / SM92-M

Image

Price: 1,900.00 NSD

The Stork Model 92 - Modernized (SM92-M) is an improved variant of the Stork straight-pull action rifle (SM92-R), adding new features such as a magazine well, a modern picatinny rail, and an improved ejection system, all in a new polymer body. This was made to further prolong the service life of the SM92-R, which was known for its reliability, accuracy, and proficiency, making it a favorite rifle of the revolutionaries. However, with the introduction of the SKR-7 Assault Rifles during the 14th year of the 5th era, the old SM92-R rifles were phased out in favor of the new rifles.

Given the lack of an SKR-7 production line at the time, Stork workers collaborated with the Revolutionary Council to develop and modernized SM92-M rifle to extend its service and conform it to newer standards, thereby serving as a temporary weapon for the revolutionary forces. The SM-92M kept the straight-pull action but added a new firing mechanism assembly and a magazine well, which allowed the rifle to load a 7.92x57 cartridge magazine. Given the availability of 7.92x57 at the time, the rifle was feasible and used for many decades before being restricted to reserve forces. Nowadays, the SM92-M is used as a marksman sniper rifle and for recreational or sporting activities such as shooting or hunting. It is also used in limited numbers by marksman squads, training, or reserves. The rifle kept its bayonet lug and cleaning rod, making it capable of being cleaned on the field and prepared for close-quarters combat. The rifle is slightly modified, improving the ejection port, and adding a cover to the upper and lower band which protects the barrel and makes it uniformed. Picatinny rails were also added, making it capable to fit in various accessories such as modern scopes, laser sights, flashlights, and among others. This also made the rifle capable to fit in a bipod, making it perfect for marksman purposes. A polymer piece is also added at the stock's comb, adding comfort to the user when aiming down its sights.

SKR-7 Rifle

SKR-7 Rifle

SKR-7 / SKR-7M1 Price: 800 NSD
SKR-7M2 / SKR-7M2A Price: 1,200.00 NSD
DPR: 4 Million NSD

Sturdy, Reliable, and Ergonomic – these are the words that perfectly describes the SKR-7 Assault Rifle, a Janpian variation of the infamous Kalashnikov series of rifles. Also known as the Stork Kalashnikov Rifle-7.62, this automatic rifle fires a 7.62x39mm round similarly to the AK-47s, being accurate and deadly for up to 350 meters with enough stopping power, thanks to the ammunition's energy and superior velocity. The rifle's development began in the early years of the 5th era, with the intent of replacing the standard issue rifles of the Revolutionaries from SM92-R straight-pull rifles, to a fully automatic rifle that also has a semi-automatic option. During this period, the SM92-R has passed its zenith as a standard-issued rifle design, and there was a need for a cheap and reliable automatic rifle that could be mass-produced; one that is easy for the users to operate, clean, and maintain. This was also seen necessary as a way to modernize the arsenal of the Revolutionary Branches and to take advantage of the new intermediate cartridge designs. At that time, the effects of the civil war was still fresh and the following years was unstable for the newly established Party. Furthermore, the Revolutionary Council was also seeking to evolve their squad doctrines by trying to lessen the burden of machine gunners and equalize the rapid fire duties to the rest of the squad, taking their lessons from the recent civil war. This was also based on their study that around 70% of combat engagements during the civil war occured at around 300 meters, making it necessary for the rifleman to have a high rate of fire, rather than just providing cover for the machinegunners who mainly deals the damage.

The Revolutionary Council and its branches at that time were utilizing 7.92x57mm rounds, and during the design stages, they were presented with two intermediate cartridges: the .223 Remington, and the 7.62x39mm. Both of which are perfect at balancing recoil and firepower, and the two of them have passed the minimum standard range requirement. In the end, the 7.62x39mm was chosen over the .223 ammunition, mainly due to it's high-powered performance and strong stopping power in the Revolutionary Council's required range.

Taking inspiration from the Kalashnikov Rifle, the workers of Stork Armaments Union drafted a similar short stroke gas piston design from the VZ. 58 rifle, slightly altering the rod to fit in the gas tube length, along with utilizing a modified AK-47 receiver and selector mechanism. The same goes for the magazine release, taking the signature AK lever to lock the 7.62x39mm banana magazine in place, making the rifle capable to utilize all Kalashnikov style magazines. Due to the Revolutionary Council's recent ambidextrous design philosophies, a top case extractor was also used for the rifle, allowing it to remove the spent casing upwards, giving comfort or assurance to both left and right handed users. Furthermore, the charging handle and the selector were also made available for both sides, allowing the users to operate and achieve similar performance in terms of shooting, aiming, or reloading, making it ergonomic and reliable for all kinds of users. All the specifications makes the rifle capable of firing and cycling up to 800 rounds per minute, with an effective range of 300 to 1,000 thanks to its sight adjustment. At a loaded weight of 3.7 kilograms, this rifle is nearly similar, albeit slightly better than the SM92-R straight-pull rifle, which has a weight of 3.7 to 4.1 kilograms.

In total, there are 4 variations of the SKR-7 Assault Rifle developed in the past decades before being retired or put on reserves:

SKR-7 Assault Rifle: The original standard design, this variant features a Janpian laminated wooden maple furniture for the handguard, stock, and handgrips, making it cheap, easy to produce, and easier to maintain as intended. The original design uses a milled bolt and receiver, but was exchanged for a stamped one to lessen the weight and to ease the production.

SKR-7 Model 1 (SKR-7M1): The SKR-7M1 is a slightly modified iteration of the SKR-7 Assault Rifle, which uses an updated stock pin modification instead of the original fixed wooden stock. This enables the users to swap the stock of the rifle and make it available to be removed or modified, giving way for foldable or extendable stocks and making it flexible and modifiable for the users.

SKR-7 Model 2 (SKR-7M2): The SKR-7M2 is a "modified" variant of the SKR-7 rifle, albeit utilizing a full polymer furniture by replacing the stamped metal parts and wooden laminate in order to simplify and modernize the production. As a result, this lowers the weight of the rifle, making it weigh around 3.1 kilograms instead of the original 3.7 kg. The polymer furniture also extends the service life of the rifle if given with proper maintenance, rather than using cosmoline coating for the wood, and other preventive maintenance for the metal.

SKR-7 Model 2A (SKR-7M2A): The most latest SKR-7 variation, the Model 2A variant is based from the Model 2, although with new features such as a fixed gas tube to allow the placements of picatinny rails, new muzzle designs to efficiently dispel excess gases, new placements for the sights, and picatinny rails on the handguard and the sides to allow a wide variety of attachments.

SAR-5

Postby Janpia » Thu Jun 16, 2022 8:50 am

SAR-5

Image

Price: 2,800.00 NSD
DPR: 8.5 Million NSD

As part of the JURA modernization proposal, a new rifle has been developed to replace the older rifles used by the Revolutionary forces and their service branches. The SAR-5, or known as the Stork Assault Rifle - 5, is a next-generation rifle that uses 5.45x39mm ammunition, allowing less recoil and added range, making it suited for long-range gun fights. The gun is made and designed by the workers of Stork Union and Zelenny Union, with a collaborative design from Zhuiko Remenus and Yulavka Toryi.

The rifle itself is ambidextrous as seen from the rifle's charging handle, making it comfortable for both left-handed and right-handed users. The SAR-5 is a short-stroke piston, gas-operated, closed-rotating bolt action rifle, which makes it similar to western designs such as the scar rifle or the M4. As the firing pin charges the propellant and fires the bullet forwards, the gas from the launch goes into the angled chamber and into the gas tube, which then pushes the piston backwards. The mechanism of the piston then rotates and pushes the bolt backwards, ejecting the spent casing and loading another ammo into the chamber, all while maintaining the charging handle's position and does not push back from the recoil. As the bolt recoils in towards the stock, it pushes the hammer back, making it ready to hit the firing pin once again. With such mechanism, the recoil is focused on to the stock, allowing the users to effectively control its recoil away from their arms. Its overall weight is 7.3lb, or 3.29kg, with a rate of fire ranging from 600 to 800 rounds per minute. The SAR-5 utilizes 5.45x39mm rounds, which allow the gun to fire smoothly, provide a light recoil impulse, create a flat trajectory, and provide a good terminal performance. In terms of attachments, the Picatinny rail allows the users to carry a variety of attachments such as grenade launchers, flashlights, and advanced optics, all depending on the user's choice. It has 3 fire selectors, which are safe, burst, and auto, providing flexibility, and accuracy in different ranges. The SAR-5 features new and better ergonomics than the former predecessor rifles, taking the stock design of the SKR-7, and picatinny placements of the SAR-3. The SAR-5 is the main rifle of choice throughout the entire branch of the Revolutionary Forces.

SPR-F

Postby Janpia » Tue Jul 19, 2022 7:17 am

SPR-F

Image

Price: 1,230 NSD
DPR: 10 Million NSD

The SPR-F is a PDW made for the Revolutionary Forces as part of the JURA proposal, featuring accuracy and firepower nearly similar to that of the AK-47s, yet compact and small, allowing mobility and agility for the users. The SPR-F, or Stork Portable Rifle-F, is an upgrade of the former SPR-SMG that utilizes 9mm ammunition, by changing the size of the carrier and barrel to fit 7.5FK rounds. The SPR-F is made and designed by the workers' union of Stork, the same labor union that designed and produced the latest SP-7 Pistol. According to one of the workers, the SPR-F is a mixture of Janpian SPR-SMG, and Gonswanzan PDW-75, given that the design is based off the Gonswanzan model but utilizes the same aspects of the SPR-SMG. The SPR-F uses new ammunition, that being the 7.5 FK BRNO, which enhances inter-operation with the rest of the Janpian weaponry and allows the ease of logistics, providing a perfect combo between the SP-7 Pistol and the SPR-F. The SPR-F is capable of firing 800 rounds per minute and is good against enclosed or medium target ranges, no lower than 100 meters. This allows the user to unleash a dangerous hellfire against closed targets and secure the kill with ease.

With the 7.5FK ammunition, it has the capability to penetrate light or medium armored targets, making it effective against well-equipped targets. The picatinny rail allows the user to fit in BUIS sights, flashlights, lasers, handgrips, and a wide range of compatible attachments. The select fire is also ambidextrous in design, enabling both left-handed and right-handed users to switch fire rates in a quick manner. The SPR-F is a roller-delayed blowback, closed bolt action PDW, which lessens recoil velocity and increases reliability. The bolt and the charging handle makes the PDW ergonomic and easy to use.

SP-7 Pistol

Postby Janpia » Wed Jul 27, 2022 6:54 am

SP-7 Pistol

Image

Price: 1,100.00 NSD
DPR: 11.1 Million NSD

The SP-7 is a pistol designed and manufactured by the workers of Stork Industries Union, made in service for all Revolutionary branches as part of the JURA advancement proposal. It fires a 7.5 FK BRNO round, which is much stronger, faster, accurate, and more powerful than a 9.19mm parabellum round. The SP-7 has much more stopping power than the usual 9mm ammo that the Revolutionary formerly used, and has an effective range of 75–150 meters, all while retaining more kinetic energy at that range than a 9×19mm can generate at the muzzle/point blank range. It has been noted by some workers that it has the same recoil power as the .45 ACP pistols and is terminally effective as the 7.62 x 39 Russian/5.56 NATO cartridges, making it deadly and powerful. Based on the test, the SP-7 is accurate out to 100 meters with a flat trajectory and was able to consistently hit a 100×100 mm (3.93-sq.in.) target at 100 meters. The SP-7 is an all-steel, short-recoil operated, semi-automatic pistol that is the service pistol for all Revolutionary forces, giving them the firepower and reliability that they always need. It is rumored that the decision to use the 7.5 FK ammunition came from the Revolutionary Council, with the purpose of having an interoperability capability with the Gonswanzan forces, simplifying the KTO military logistics, and having a pistol with enough stopping power against an enemy target.

SMR-5

Image

Price: 7,200 NSD

The Stork Marksman Rifle - 5, known as SMR-5, was developed by the workers of Stork Armament Union in response to Revolutionary Council demands to replace the outdated SSR-40 Rifle in designated marksman duties. Plans were conceptualized to utilize an existing yet reliable platform, all while chambering 7.62x51 ammunition in compliance with the KTO STANAG. Other requirements also state that the rifle has to be 2 feet at a minimum and ambidextrous for left and right-handed users. The design was finalized and submitted by Sir Ominaschi Satsakov, which then gained the worker's council's approval. The SMR-5 is a semi-automatic, short-stroke piston, gas-operated, rotating bolt rifle to be used by all Revolutionary Force branches. The design is based on the SAR-5 Assault rifle, with the barrel length and chamber configured to match the needed 7.62x51mm ammunition, which was chosen in accordance with the KTO STANAG. The rifle's firing box was also slightly modified, enabling it to fire in single or 3-round bursts, making it ready for any mission involving medium to long range.

The SMR-5 has a total length of 36 inches, which increases the barrel length from the SAR-5's initial 14.4 inch barrel to 18". Because of its shared design with the SAR-5, the SMR-5 has the same ambidextrous charging handle, making it suitable for both left and right-handed users. It also utilizes the same feed system, which can pull the piston backwards, all while maintaining the charging handle's position when firing. The rifle also features an extendable stock and Picatinny rails, which can fit various accessories such as a bipod on the lower receiver or telescopic sights based on the user's choice. Made out of polymer, the SMR-5's effective range is over 800 meters, which is enough to enclose the range between assault rifles and sniper rifles.

The stock version of the rifle weighs 3.12 kg and utilizes a 20-round box magazine. As for the firing process, once the trigger has been pulled, the firing pin charges the propellant and fires the bullet forward, causing the gas to go into an angled chamber and into the gas tube, pushing the piston backwards. The mechanism of the piston then rotates and pushes the bolt backwards, ejecting the spent casing and loading another ammo into the chamber, all while maintaining the charging handle's position and does not push back from the recoil. With such system, the recoil is focused on the stock, making it easy to control for the users. With its chosen 7.62×51mm ammunition, the rifle's accuracy is remarkable due to its higher ballistic coefficient, which indicates a lower negative acceleration or drag.

Stork Carbine Rifle

Postby Janpia » Sat Oct 29, 2022 9:53 pm

Stork Carbine Rifle

Image

Price: 2,000 NSD
Brand new: 1,400 NSD

The Stork Carbine Rifle is a derivative variant of the SM92 rifle, having a shortened 26-inch barrel to save resources and make mass production more cost-effective. The early version of the Stork Carbine was produced in lower numbers due to the surplus of birch wood and materials, but over time, the rifle was produced in great quantities as demand for SM92 rose, especially during the 4th era civil war when it was used significantly. As it seems, the war demanded the rifles to be produced in a quick manner, all while keeping the rifle's acclaimed quality. Over 14 million Stork Carbines were produced at the conclusion of the war, with an extra million produced prior to it. This is in contrast to the 8 million SM92-R made during the war, with an additional 20 million before the war. The Stork Carbine Rifle and the SM92-R were still used by the Revolutionaries until the introduction of the SKR-7 Assault Rifle, prompting the retirement of the said rifles as Janpian main battle rifles. In the meantime, both rifles were still seen in high regard for their smooth action, and the accuracy it offers.

Like the original SM92-R, the Stork Carbine uses a straight-pull action, which shortens the cycle, making it fast and efficient to reload the ammunition into the chamber. The rifle uses 7.92x57mm ammunition, which provides a flat trajectory and an effective range of over a kilometer, making it deadly and versatile. Its magazine can fit up to, 5x ammunition, which can be loaded via stripper clip. Like the SM92, the Stork Carbine uses a durable one-piece laminated plywood stock, topped with steel and cupped buttplate added by the Stork Worker's Union. It can also be attached with a bayonet accessory that can be annexed or removed at the end of the rifle, along with a telescopic sight for sniping purposes.

Early variants of the Stork Carbine have the imperial symbol and serial number stamped at the receiver, while the later variants have the afternoon sun symbol (the one on Janpian revolutionary flag), along with the factory line number. Given that the early variants are produced in lower numbers, the imperial era stork carbines are much rarer and more expensive than the later revolutionary variants. The difference between the early variants (3rd Imperial era) and the later variants (4th Revolution era) is that the latter variants have the complete set, unlike the later variants which utilize a simplified system, cheaper firing pin and spring, removed bolt stop spring, and a modified bolt knob set. This was done to cut the budget for the production of the carbine and to prioritize the better materials for the SM92-R. In modern times, the rifle is still being produced in its complete form, which is now used as a recreational gun for public use, or for reserve armory.

Stowel Rifle

Postby Janpia » Sat Jan 14, 2023 11:50 pm

Stowel Rifle (Export)

Image

Price: 542.22 NSD

The Stowel Rifle, a shortened term for Stork Armaments Union and the WelManufacturing LTD, is a semi-automatic rifle that fires 5.56x45mm rounds. It is made as part of the agreement between the Ministry of Economy and Trade (MEAT) and WelManufacturing LTD, being a collaborative design between the workers of Stork Armaments Union and WelManufacturing LTD. The rifle was designed to be cheap, widely available, simple to manufacture, and easy to maintain in order to be sold on international or domestic markets. The 5.56x45mm rounds were chosen for the rifle, mainly due to their worldwide availability and usage, along with being cheaper than the 7.62x39mm rounds. Based on the design request of WelManufacturing LTD, the rifle was designed to be as cheap as possible, utilizing the same mechanism of the SKS rifle in the design while adding components such as a safety selector switch and a magazine holder at the front of the trigger guard. Since it utilizes the SKS mechanism, the Stowel rifle is a top short-stroke gas piston, tilting bolt, and self-reloading rifle, with an effective range of about 300 meters.

The Stowel Rifle has 2 variants, with one being made for Welephilostophian domestic markets, and the other for international exports (currently on sale). The domestic variant utilizes a full polymer and aluminum-alloy body, while the barrel, buttstock, handguard, steel-bolt carrier, and grip are made out of synthetic plastics. As for the export variant, a wooden laminate was used for the rifle's handguard, stock, and grip, reducing the cost and making it a bit lighter than the domestic variant. Both variants utilize an adjustable sight and hard-chromed steel billet for the bolt. As for the mechanism, the firing selectors only have 2 options; which are safe, or semi-auto. As the trigger pushes the firing pin, the ignitor launches the bullet forwards into the barrel, leaving behind some pressurized gas. This pressurized gas would then propel the piston backwards, thrusting over the bolt-carrier to eject the used casing and reloading the chamber with a new round. The cycle repeats with an ammunition ready to be fired once again. As for the recoil system, the spring responsible for returning the bolt carrier is protected with a metal dust cover, hiding it as the bolt pulls the hammer back into place.

Regarding its ergonomics, the rifle has a similar length placement to the battle rifles, as the original design was intended to be one. Furthermore, it can also be modified easily thanks to its easy maintenance access, allowing customizations such as adding picatinny rail over its dust cover, or by modifying the trigger box. With its SKS-style bolt carrier, the Stowel Rifle can also be reloaded with a stripper clip, yet it is advisable to use 5.56x45mm magazines instead.

SAR-5M2

Postby Janpia » Thu Apr 20, 2023 9:42 am

SAR-5M2

Price: 2,000.00 NSD
DPR: 9 Million NSD

Despite the successes of the SAR-5 Rifle in both combat and self-defense roles, the workers of Stork Armaments Union seeks to rectify the recent drawbacks or problems experienced by various users. Taking note of the complaints about the SAR-5 Rifle, such as excessive weight, bulkiness for some users, limited modularity, and poor ergonomics, the Stork Armaments Union has addressed them all with the introduction of the SAR-5M2 rifle. The rifle features a gas-operated, piston-driven, rotating bolt action, making it durable and requiring less maintenance. Like its predecessor, the SAR-5M2 utilizes 5.45x39mm rounds, the standard of the Revolutionary Army. The ammo allows the rifle to have less recoil and an added range, which could be beneficial in long-range gunfights. Furthermore, the ammo has good penetration and expansion upon impact, along with an effective range of 300 to 800 meters, truly making it a proper choice for the Revolutionary Army.

Like the SAR-5 rifle, the SAR-5M2 still retains its original stock, though it has been downsized to make it lighter and more ergonomic for the users. The stock is also adjustable, making it comfortable when firing and allowing the user to effectively manage its recoil. Among other traits inherited from the SAR-5 is its ambidextrous design, which allows both left or right-handed users to comfortably operate the rifle. This includes the magazine release, fire selector switch, and a charging handle. Just like its predecessors, the SAR-5M2 has 3 firing selections, which is safe, semi, and auto, giving it flexibility in ranges and handling. The SAR-5M2 also features a new case-ejection selector that enables users to direct spent casings to either the left or right, providing greater comfort and ergonomics when firing. This system allows the user to charge the rifle from either the left or right side, depending on the handle's location, in the style of the Kalashnikov rifle. Additionally, the handle can be easily switched to either side, making it both reliable and easy to use. Among other new features is a longer picatinny rail on the sides, allowing the users to fit more attachments or customizations on their rifles. In response to the complaints, the SAR-5M2 body has also been downsized, resulting in a lighter and more compact rifle than its predecessor. Additionally, the magwell has been updated to reduce weight. All these changes makes the rifle into a total weight of 3.07 kg, all while retaining the rate of fire of 700 to 800 rounds per minute.

As for its mechanism, the rifle uses a gas piston mechanism to load ammunition into the chamber, making it similar on to a few AR rifles such as the ARX-160. As the firing pin ignites the ammunition, the bullet propels itself forward, leaving behind an excess gas inside. These gas then goes on to a tube, which then pushes the piston backwards. This piston then rotates and pushes the bolt backwards, ejecting the spent casing and loading another ammo into the chamber. The process repeats itself until the firing pin blocks the hammer or when the magazine is empty.
