Name: Apaiciah
Gender: female
Age: 200, but effectively is six-years-old.
Appearance: Personality:
  • The Negotiator
  • The Poet
Pantheon: Greek, Japanese
Divine Parent(s): Cupid, Kannon
Domain: Nonviolence, Diplomacy, Compliments, and Kittens
Abilities:
  • Charm - anytime a war (or even an arguement) breaks out, and she's nearby, the belligerents (or interlocutors) immediately drop their weapons (or forget what they were argueing about/on) and hug eachother.
  • Lovetap - when she's attacked, the weapon becomes three-times ineffective and the attack becomes the equivalent to being hit with pillows.
  • Correspondence - effectively a Cupidian form of telepathy, except all of the "negative thoughts" get filtered-out, or replaced with random things that Apaiciah likes (like, say, bananas)
  • The Light Of A Thousand Suns - the bow-summon that she'd inherited from being Cupid's Daughter.
  • In Her Heart - Mastery of Archery and Sharpshooting/Trickshotting.
  • Drowning in Love - Any and all monsters or artificial entities are turned into kittens or slowly become Mortal/Human.
Classes:
  • Fighting (main)
  • Creation (main)
  • Magic (main)
  • Power Management (main)

  • Home EQ (elective)
  • Artistic Expression (elective)
Background:

Born fairly-recently (as she is very young, the War-in-Heaven happened when she was 50), Apaiciah abhors violence and fighting of any kind; taking more from her father than her mother in most respects, but her mother does indeed show at-times. Imagining "The Cutest Thing Ever" and stopping all conflict was essentially her "building herself," but it's unknown what steps she'll take now. The world around her seems to be very warlike and dangerous, and she plans on fixing it all!

Her personalities are starting to develop, with the first being The Negotiator, a staunch diplomat and lightningrod and The Poet, an ultravisionary who simply seeks Happiness and Love. She has no true "main personality" as of yet.

Second char is UP

Name: Eivor “Eve” Bragisdottir
Gender: Female
Age: 90, but appearing around 23
Appearance: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-R9zwDXTmr94/V ... b6509e.jpg
Personality: Eve is a quiet and reserved individual who has an appreciation for all things beautiful, she likes to surround herself with beautiful things to provide inspiration as she is used to strolling through her mother's pristine apple groves. She's very much the "art is life" type and is often seen with her pen and notepad scribbling thoughts for poetry 90 percent of the time...although she has a small group of friends that she likes to spend time with and is reservedly polite when it comes to meeting new people, she can get REALLY cloistered if her head is flooded with ideas. Sometimes she'll lock herself away for days, even weeks at a time on a composition binge and not even Odin will save you if you dare interrupt her, even to eat. Her friends often quip that she has two looks, elegant fairy princess in a field or feral ink-stained goblin that lives in the library, there is no in-between. Eve is also a staunch perfectionist when it comes to her writing, often scrapping whole stanza and rewriting it from scratch if it's less than perfect.
Pantheon: Norse
Divine Parent(s): Bragi, Idunn
Domain: Poetry, storytelling, time
Abilities:
Reality Rewriting: Eve can warp reality around her to a small extent and cast spells by prose and poetic verse (say she writes a poem about raining, it'll start raining), she can also cause physical injury with a scathing enough poem. Her stories also serve as mini-portals and she can trap someone in the realm of a book she's written (though if one survives to the ending of the story, they can escape)

Rejuvenation Because her mother is the goddess of youth, Eve can heal, fix or restore people and objects by "resetting the clock" as it were. For example, if somebody broke their leg then Eve could heal them by restoring the bone to a more "youthful" point before the break happened, or fix an old TV by reversing its age to when it was brand new. This power cannot be used to resurrect the dead, only on injuries or to repair objects.

Shapeshifting (Age-Related): Eve can change her shape through all sorts of ages, appearing as a young girl or an old woman or any age in between, though she prefers the young and beautiful lady mold.

Background: Eve is the daughter of Bragi, Norse god of poetry and storytelling and his wife Idunn, the goddess of youth and guardian of the golden apples that the Aesir eat to keep themselves youthful. She grew up in her parents' estate in Asgard, enjoying her childhood among the gods...her parents tried to keep her out of the conflicts and machinations of the gods as much as they could, but being such a curious child and studying under her father who kept record of such important events, she was witness to them anyway. As a younger goddess, she traveled around the other lands such as Midgard and was fascinated by what she saw, the sights and things she experienced amongst the other worlds fueling her already hyperactive imagination and becoming the source of many a poem or story. Sometimes her parents wouldn't see her for weeks on end, they had to pull her out of wherever she'd holed herself up during a month-long composition binge.
When she grew old enough, Odin had his granddaughter summoned to his halls and had her made a skald, or epic poet to compose sweeping verse about her godly family and their accomplishments in an official capacity...things were normal, until the war in heaven began to break out.
Looking for some sense of normality after things were shaken up, Eve decided to enroll herself into Holy High in order to both mingle with other gods and find a sense of community again, as well as find new things to write about. Her parents often joke that she better have a volume thicker than Yggdrasil's trunk by the time she returns.

Weapon: Eve has a pen made from one of Muninn's tail feathers, thus augmenting the power of her words. When she writes with this pen, she gains some of grandfather Odin's wisdom in lore (as the god of the alphabet and knowledge, among other things)

Classes: Artistic Expression, Magic, History. Diplomacy, Crafting, Home EQ

Name: Abaguabana (Ah-Bah-Gwah-Bah-Nah, The Great Sea)
Gender: Male
Age: Age is 130, but appears in his early 20s.
Appearance: Abaguabana takes the appearance of a rather tall individual of indigenous appearance; his skin is a somewhat brownish-tan color, tanned by what would otherwise be decades of living under the Caribbean sun, and his hair is long, smooth, and black. He wears his hair in a tied together ponytail style, rhesus macaque fur used to bind his hair together on the back of his head, and he has a notable lack of facial hair. He stands at a total of 6 feet, and 5 inches, and his physique is not particularly outstanding, but it is nothing short of healthy, either. He is well-muscled and toned, but by looking at him, you would guess that he wouldn't have been much of a dedicated sports player with the lack of weight and size within his muscles. His upper body is covered in symbolic, ritualistic white tattoos, starting at his wrists, and continuing down a sleeve-style pattern, over his pecs, down his abdomen, to his waist, and these tattoos are symbolic depictions of the Guey, the Kachi, the Coqui frog, the animals of the ocean and the winds and currents, and other such depictions of his station. Over his eyes is a single, red visor-like tattoo stretching from the corner of his eyes to the bridge of his nose. When fueled by the powers of Juracan as Abaguabana the Storm, he takes the appearance of a much larger, blue, naga-like individual. His fins become more pronounced, his back grows a pair of wings and spines, and his head grows various large fins as well, while his eyes change from that of a near-draconic look, to that of a cuttlefish.

His "divine form" takes the form of an extremely large blue whale-like creature, several feet large, and dwarfing even the largest natural blue whales themselves. This whale form is made of what seems to be cobbled together ocean stones bound together through wet sand, with the ocean waters bounded to his form and flowing over and through his body, his white tattoos enlargening and covering his body, though now colored blue and glowing like blue, flowing power over his now-stone skin. While Abaguabana prefers this form, as it is his "natural" form and was once the form he spent the most time in, it is difficult to utilize on land and thus, he simply retains his human form instead.

Personality: Abaguabana is a rather passive person, avoiding arguments and simply going where the wind takes him. This is not to say he is quiet, however; Abaguabana is quite friendly, and enjoys interacting with others, and he puts particular care and effort in not making any "enemies" of his. Centuries of feuding with his siblings has left Abaguabana with a rather dry and sarcastic sense of wit, and this tends to come out most whenever insulted or faced with a situation that's either embarrassing, confusing, or amusing. Despite his wit, and his rather gregarious outlook towards other deities, Abaguabana doesn't particularly put much value in romance, finding it awkward and confusing, and any sense of romantic interest directed towards him causes him to "freeze" and struggle putting words together.

Abaguabana loves to learn; had he more time, he would absolutely spend that time learning what he can of topics he does not know, technologies he does not understand, and magics he has yet to answer. He finds other deities particularly interesting for their pantheons. Abaguabana is not a particular fan of fighting, and even when forced to confront people, he will never enjoy it. This is not to say he will back down, or that his temper is infinite - his mother and his siblings are gods of hurricanes, destruction, and chaos, and while far, far more patient than they are, he still possesses a limited temper that can be broken if his patience is tried, and tried, and tried again. Despite the rage that he is capable of, Abaguabana is a notably empathetic person; his experience holding one of the three parts of Juracan has left Abaguabana with a rather thorough understanding of turmoil and conflict, though his empathy is not endless, and when angered, Abaguabana can be notably petty towards the subject of his wrath.

Pantheon: Taíno
Divine Parent(s): Guabancex, Cacique of the Winds and Weather (Mother)
Yúcahu, Sky Spirit of Masculine Fertility and Chief of the Gods (Grandfather)
Domain:
Fishing, good harvest, the sea, rain, ocean animals, whales, and water as Abaguabana the Sea
Tsunamis and floods as Abaguabana the Storm
Winds, lightning, and thunder as one of the three Hurricane Deities
Destruction, disorder, and chaos as Juracán
Abilities: (Aguamobagua, the Sea Trumpet)
Shapeshifting
As the God of the Sea, Abaguabana lays dominion over the ocean and all its creatures. Oceanic animals, ranging from the great such as whales, to even minor animals such as crabs, worms, and anemones, are all within Abaguabana's repertoire. He is incapable of shapeshifting into animals that primarily spend their time on land, but certain marine animals, such as iguanas, turtles, and frogs, are all fair game for him as well. It takes a fair bit of concentration and time for him to shapeshift within his own power, but using his spear as a focus, he's capable of doing it quite quickly, almost in a flash. Because of the physical detriments of ocean life on land, he avoids this almost entirely, though he is a big fan of transforming into iguanas and frogs. His particular favorite is that of a blue whale carved with the same tattoos as his body.

Hydrokinesis
Abaguabana's existence revolves around water; as such, he exercises an extreme degree of control over water. With just the manipulation of his limbs, he can manipulate it, solidify it, or even create it with enough focus. This doesn't extend to just physical control either; chemical control of water is within his reach as well. He can evaporate, freeze, condensate, and boil water by focusing, and his ability to create clouds and rain stems from his capability to generate and evaporate water. The strength of his hydrokinesis comes from the distance to the sea; the closer he is physically to his domain, the greater his control. Even when confronted with dirty and polluted water, Abaguabana is capable of purifying it with his breath. His most notable capability is being able to turn himself into "sentient" water at will.

Ocean-Life Control
Abaguabana can speak to ocean life and put them under his control. This communication is rather alien to behold; despite fish not being particularly intelligent, Abaguabana is capable of drawing out conversations from said fish and other ocean-going life. This does have its limits, however; worms, sea cucumber, jellyfish, other such mindless animals are incapable of being communicated with.

Minor Aerokinesis and Electrokinesis
In keeping with his position as the third of the Hurricane Gods, Abaguabana possesses abilities to control the wind and electricity, though these are weak compared to his siblings, who actually have these parts under their dominion. Abaguabana can blow winds of up to 40 miles an hour, and is capable of generating small lightning storms with his rain, and generating small sparks of power from his fingers. As a storm deity as well, Abaguabana acts as a conductor; electricity has no effect on him, but it does have an effect on whatever is unfortunate enough to have physical contact with him the moment he's struck by lightning.

Fusion into Juracán
When called forth to act in his capacity as Abaguabana the Storm, he brings with him the waves and fury of the sea, while Coatrisquie brings the winds and rain, and Guataubá brings the lightning and the thunder. Though all three are capable of summoning great storms by each other, they have the ability to combine into Juracán, the six-armed spinning god of destruction and disorder who embodies the terrible power of the hurricane. Juracán has a separate consciousness than his components, who effectively lose their individuality while combined, and is chaotic and directionless, seeking only the destruction of everything in front of him and his hurricanes until he is forced to split into Abaguabana, Guataubá, and Coatrisquie once more. Of course, Abaguabana's adverseness to aimless destruction and danger to innocent lives at the hand of Juracán means that even when outright told by Guabancex or his siblings, Abaguabana still refuses to ever fuse into Juracán.

Background: The youngest son of the irritable Storm Cacique Guabancex, Abaguabana was relatively depowered in comparison to his siblings, the deities Guataubá and Coatrisquie, the twin gods of the hurricane. A rather passive person, even in his youth, Abaguabana lacked the short temper and wrathful disposition of his aggressive siblings, and especially of his infamous mother. His mother was the Cacique of the Wind, the ruler of the distant land of Aumatex, and in her short temper would often punish mortals who even barely slighted her with storms and hurricanes that would ravage the Caribbean. Her two children would herald these hurricanes; Guataubá would call forth the thunder, as Coatrisquie brought forth the winds and floods. The three were destructive deities, with only Moboyas, the god of death and fear, being more hated. Except, of course, for Abaguabana. As the Great War in Heaven raged on, and Guabancex ravaged the lands with hurricanes, Abaguabana sat at the bottom of the sea, content to spend his days with the fish and the many stories they told of the first men and the first moments of the world before the ocean was let loose by Deminan Caracaracol. Abaguabana bore witness to many of the conflicts of the War in Heaven, and these fed into his general disgust for violence, preferring to not be a god of the sea's deep wrath, but rather, a god of the sea's benefits. He grew closer to his uncle Boinayel, the Sun and Rain god, who helped Abaguabana learn to utilize his godhood for the good of his station.

It was these qualities that brought Abaguabana to the attention of his grandfather Yúcahu, the great god of the sky and his grandfather. The hurricanes of Guabancex and the machinations of Moboyas were simply far too destructive to ignore. Seeing Abaguabana's rather passive nature as a counterbalance to his close family's anger and temper, Yúcahu split the hurricane, and gave Abaguabana the power of the waves and floods, giving Abaguabana the power of Abaguabana the Storm and making him the third Nitaíno of the Wind alongside his siblings, denying Guabancex the tsunamis and floods of the storms she could call upon so easily. Yúcahu would have Abaguabana enroll in the newly enchristened "Holy High", in an effort so that he may further understand his importance as a god of the sea and a shepherd of the storms, and left him the enchanted sea shell Aguamobagua, the sea trumpet.

Weapon: Abaguabana's only proper "weapon" is that of a pronged wooden fishing spear, which is unnaturally durable despite being made out of what seems to be simple polished wood. Hanging from the bottom is a collection of turtle shells and cone shells tied to the handle of the fishing spear through knotted grey rhesus macaque hair, while the handles are patterned with an artisan-designed with a pattern of a boa's snakeskin underneath undulating fish-scale coverings. Despite being a spear, it is not a weapon, and is mainly a "staff" who's main powers are to facilitate Abaguabana's own abilities. It can be thrown, and will return to Abaguabana when called.

His tool, the symbol of office over his domain of the sea, is the Aguamobagua. Aguamobagua takes the appearance of a horse conch shell, which is always slightly wet, and smells vaguely of an ocean wind when put up to the face. Abaguabana can play Aguamobagua like a horn instrument, and when blown by him, does actually sound like a vague horn. Blowing Aguamobagua allows Abaguabana to summon rains ranging from slight drizzles, to torrential downpours, and fruit-bearing plants underneath the rains of Aguamobagua find themselves developing fruit much faster, and much larger. Aguamobagua is incapable of being used to its fullest potential by anyone who isn't Abaguabana, with non-ocean gods blowing it finding that they cannot make a sound through it, and ocean gods capable of summoning small rains through it, but nothing more than that.[/spoiler]

Name: Yet to choose one for themselves, referred to externally as "The Factory", " The Titan", and "The New God"
Gender: Non-binary/undecided, pronouns We/They
Age: 2 years, born at the height of the War.
Appearance: In basal form, an armored humanoid comprised of Telluric Iron(pure, unalloyed Iron, basically), with a molten light peering through the seams where plates and joints meet. Beyond that, their appearance is wildly fluid, but their initial form(and often considered a "true form"), was a massive, crawling mass of industrial machinery and weapons, with vaguely skeletal features-a massive ribcage running along most of its length, etc.
Personality: The Factory is closed off, reserved, restrained. yet undeniably...sad. Beneath an exterior of uncaring metal lies a spirit bound by the tragedy of its conception, born of pain and fear, yet rather than seeking to spread that fear...prevent it. Gentle, hesitant compassion, and an urge to understand itself and what place it possesses in this world. As it was born from the pain of Humanity, The Factory considers Humanity to be its people, not the Gods, and strives to protect and be able to stand for them at all cost to itself. On the other, it views the Old Gods with a somewhat scornful eye, for letting petty disputes and bitterness cause such suffering and pain. Yet, for now, the fellow New Gods walk the middle road, as it is evident that all of them are at this place of learning to be better than the mistakes of their forebears-but the Factory knows not if they are to be trusted, or turned away.
Pantheon: None.
Divine Parent(s): None. The Factory was born from the collective suffering of Humanity, and the unwavering resolve of Humanity's armies during the War.
Domain: Technology, Industry, Humanity
Abilities: The Factory is capable of modifying its physiology through the creation, manipulation, and attachment of various forms of hardware and material, and is also capable of assimilating external matter into its mass.
Classes:
-History
-Power Management
-Creation/Crafting
-Science/Alchemy

-Humanities
-Artistic Expression
Background:
Few truly comprehend Humanity's suffering in the time of the War in Heaven. Although many understand-untold millions died, entire cities and nations swept away in calamitous events-few truly comprehend the sheer volume of life lost.

But Humanity remembers. For many, faith in the Gods entirely was shattered by their War-so callous were they, to sweep aside Humanity for their own petty games of dominance. Perhaps that is why Humanity ceased to worship so long ago, lost to the ideals of all-knowing, singular Gods of unlimited benevolence, or even further, to the idea that no Gods truly existed at all. But some Gods are born of human ideals-the Hearth, the Arts, War-and it would be no different for the shattered Humans at the War's peak.

At first, it was thought to be a human weapon. Drones, walking tanks, steel soldiers-wherever beasts unleashed in the War were found, the army of steel would appear soon after like some demented mockery of the Wild Hunt, killing or driving off the monsters. But then they were spotted helping the humans independently-Great flying ships manifesting from thin air and evacuating civilians from drowning cities, armies of artillery batteries raining fire-retardant gel into the path of raging wildfires, hulking machines burrowing beneath the earth to grant shelter from category 10 hurricanes.

And then the New God revealed itself.

At first it was thought to just be a Factory. But it was not. A Hulking, vaguely human mass of machinery and weaponry, pulling itself between a charging army of the night and the ragged remnants of a dozen armies. It threw a titanic, steel-skulled head to the sky and let out a cry. Not of anger, not of challenge or victory or fear

A Cry of unending, burning, wrenching pain.

In the darkest hour of Humanity, the Humans had found a savior. The Factory, The Titan, The New God-the God of Technology, the God of Industry, the God of Humanity.

The Factory had been born too late to help all of Humanity, but it embarked on saving the ones it could with nigh fanaticism. Great earthmoving machines sundered the Earth, forcing the raging seas back to within their shores and creating great barriers against whatever monsters appeared. Legions of machines hunted down rogue parties of monsters and spirits and drove them away from human settlements, while great caravans journeyed across the planet, seeking and providing aid to smaller human communities.

With the war's end, the more diplomatic Gods would approach The Factory, and convinced it to calm from its previous hostile footing and to join the other New Gods at a place called Holy High. Acquiescing, The Factory-who, to the shock of those that communicated it, was little more than a child-took on a form closer to that of its creators(well, as close as it could get) and went forth to Holy High, where it would attempt to understand the nature of its people and itself, and see what it could become.

Zei-Aeiytenia wrote:So i did this "system" for the abilities the basic idea is that the link is like "Maximum potential indicator" and the description i put next to it is "Where we rn tho". My brain likes this better because it more easily connects how growth and progression will look like to what currently is.

Anyway, very dangerous, if you don't take her seriously! If you do, she's a delusional asshole who has worked for nothing and celebrates herself ontop a house of cards. Please do the second, my favorite current designed character arc relies on the second being done :(

Name: Astrid
Gender: Female
Age: 20
Appearance: Just a human form always hidden but very present: multiple rings of cutting scars from some delightful barbed chains for restraining gods in Niflheim.
Personality: Astrid has lived a life of near endless victory, freedom and lack of hardship. She is arrogant as they come, and violent as could be imagined. Her entire worldview is a self centered, power-tripping delusion, frailly based on a cult-like worship of strength and power which she herself dominates, and which all other things, and all other concerns, and all other entities, are secondary and inferior. Humans are little more than ants, and other divine beings are playthings and weaklings who deserve no respect. To put it shortly, a delusional, narcissistic, lackadaisical, arrogant bitch, with no experience or concept of the world beyond herself.
Divine Parent(s): Freyja
Domain: Hunting, War, Storms
Abilities:
Supernatural Combat: Simply being of supernatural physique as gods are is a mere beginning. As a war goddess, Astrid grew up with a natural talent for using it in unique ways. Primarily through combination with Storm Manipulation on her physical body directly, using a rather blatantly amateurish form of Atmokinetic fighting styles and lacking the total grace, precision and control that she seems to think she otherwise has.

Storm Manipulation: Controlling storms already there, or using current conditions to make her own. While the potential applications of this are as wide as the sky itself, her current ability creates or controls storms in the area surrounding her to create a localized chaotic environment where the senses of the opponent are impaired to varying degrees. She's not very good at controlling them beyond this, and, if left to it long enough, will accidentally create a superstorm and pretend it was intended all along.

Predator Instinct: Looks are deceiving, this daughter of a Goddess of a Beauty, for example, secretly holds the natural instincts of a Supernatural Apex Predator. Accuracy, Senses, Stealth, Tracking, and Pursuit abilities are not merely impressive - but terrifying - even to gods. Though she is not always running on this instinct, it will be very clear when she does, as a total demeanor shift will occur, accompanied with a feeling of malaise and sense of impending doom. Her fighting style also changes, primarily in that she isn't usually trying to kill people, but now very clearly is, and knows how to do it. Out of her 3 abilities, this is by far the least controlled, aside from the innate skills with accuracy and such, having minimal control, focused on maintaining lucidity and therefore memory. When confronted with a dangerous opponent or notably injured, she may well lose control and fly into a state of feral aggression. Or not, roll for luck i suppose.

Classes: History, Power Management, Gym, Magic, Humanities, Stargazing
Background: Astrid was born to the easiest life a semi-delusional delinquent with arrogant dreams of grandeur could ever hope for. As the 3rd daughter of Freyja, she was paid little heed to by her mother, the War in Heaven was raging, and then ended with Freyja one of the most severely weakened Norse deities. Her elder sisters were nothing of note, no great of significant power, nothing truly divine to them but the name of their mother. The youngest sister by far, she was the only one born with power.

To accompany it she was blessed twice, power an almost prodigal innate talent. A young Astrid had little trouble recognizing and acclimating to the fact she was unlike her sisters in every way imaginable. From here, she was blessed thrice, or as some would say - born to the wrong clan of the gods. A Vanir descended from Freyja, with the potential for rampaging war power to rival the mighty Aesir.

As a young child, Astrid would frequently throw herself into the Hjaðningavíg, the endless-battle of heroes in her home of Fólkvangr, paralleling those held by Odin in Valhalla. Despite her youth, lack of experience, and indeed, any real training, she never did lose. At times a particularly skilled and powerful opponent would come close to besting her, but always in the last moment, would a bestial look awaken in her eyes, and the nigh-victorious man would be thrown into a sudden fearful shock before his unexpected demise.

At the age of 14, Astrid became more absent from the Hjaðningavíg, preferring instead to roam the vast fields of Fólkvangr. She was alone at first, and it was unclear what she was doing, but none would dare to bother her. Over time the younger children of Fólkvangr began to journey with her, and after many years, one could spot a hero or two going across the endless plains to the brewing clouds afar. None asked where the clouds had come from, why or how they had and continue to grow, nor why they are ever in place, spinning without motion. After 3 years, now 17, Astrid returned to the Hjaðningavíg, with an entirely new strain of ruthless brutality the innocent, though cocky child of yesteryear had never shown. Never once did she lose a fight. Never once, this time, did anyone even come close. Those who had followed her in years prior, the other children in particular, would follow to watch her in the battle, always praising her, the beginning of her very own cult.

After an altercation outside the Hjaðningavíg, the young godling began choosing her fights wherever, whenever, and with whomever she pleased. For a time, Freyja's presence and mere disapproval was enough to stop her, but this time was succeeded with her targets simply disappearing into the misty plains under the storm clouds, now known as the Stormlands. Few returned.

Astrid's behavior and delusions merely intensified henceforth, the year after, and she began to speak to her followers of the coming dawn of the new wars, just as the curtains closed on the last. First she would rectify the disgrace of her ancestors in the Aesir-Vanir War, and take Odin's throne for herself. Second, she would shatter the heavens twice, and cleanse with the blood of the divine the cowardice of the Norse pantheon in their acquiescence to peace in the Great War in Heaven. Or so she said, as her rhetoric intensified, so too did the disappearances.

For all these years, Freyja had largely ignored the problem. She was not a completely absent parent from the childs life, rather that choice was made by Astrid, and by the Great War. Rather, by the time Astrid had shown herself to be a problem, it was beyond Freyja's ability to contain. Only when rumor of the goddesses grandiose plans to rend the heavens with new wars began to spread did she act, too little and too late.

Freyja journeyed, herself and a handful of companions, into the Stormlands which Astrid spent most her time in. By now it had become known that the young goddess' way with storms was the source of the anomaly. It is now mentioned, with endless stress to Freyja, the extremity of the mistake made here, with all given hindsight. Freyja confronted Astrid in the Stormlands, and the younger, now 18, was unwilling to budge. It came to blows, as Astrid challenged her mother directly in head-to-head combat the way she had so many in the Hjaðningavíg. However, unlike the heroes of legend she faces, Freyja, even severely weakened as she was, kept up with the healthy rising deity in close arms, and even began to take advantage in the situation.

Before Freyja could use the foolish arrogance of her daughter to end the contest, Astrid darted away, into the mists of the rising ferocity of the Stormlands. Unfortunate for Freyja, though, she did not run. An endless stream of arrows came from infront, from above, from behind, and from each every side, as the Elder Goddess struggled to keep up against an endless string of ambushes. In the Stormlands, you could only see if Astrid wanted you to, only hear if Astrid desired for you to, only sense if Astrid wished for you to. With her senses gone, the onslaught prevailed.

Freyja was narrowly saved by the entrance of her companions, and by defectors who had watched from the mists who drug her from the Stormlands. The sounds of battle continued as they grew distant, and none would return to Freyja's side.

Ten days later, after the elder goddess had made request of their assistance, a half dozen gods and their hunting parties descended upon the Stormlands of Fólkvangr to take the rebellious Goddess by force. The hunt continued for a week straight, and though the many youth who had followed Astrid surrendered quietly, Astrid herself, emboldened by victory over Freyja, refused to yield, and ensured there was never a moment of quiet among the hunters. At last, she was cornered and surrounded, but true to her endless tirades on cowards and honor in battle, Astrid refused to surrender, and was finally pacified through force of arms and taken alive - as Freyja had wanted.

Upon return to Freyja in her hall, the gods present agreed on the fate of Astrid. She could not remain unwatched and unguarded, nor could she be permitted to spread her violent ideations of new wars among the gods. It was clear, though stopped before a full escalation, this situation would need spoken to about with the other pantheons, for Astrid may not be the only one in the heavens. One day, they would find a solution of course, for the young godlings.

This, however, was still two years away, and not known to Astrid or her captors. Until then, Astrid was cast into Niflheim, imprisoned by barbed chains made special just to tame the ravenous predator she had become, where the cold and slicing teeth have left many scars across her. The hope was that this alone may break her of her rebellion, however, throughout it all, Astrid remained as confidently unshaken as ever. To her, that an elder goddess like Freyja nearly died to her, and that a party containing a half dozen Deities of their own right was sent to take her, was all the proof she could ever have dreamed, to prove herself right.

Two years in Niflheim she was chained, two years of endless cold, of endless thought, of endless loneliness, of endless bleeding and suffering. Two years, until the icy gates finally opened. The cowards were to set her free. They did not frame it as such, a school was not freedom but to her, a different kind of prison, or so they weakly insisted.

Nonetheless, she is forbidden to return until graduating, and school soon begins...

Need to think more about it

Okay, some problems with the app, one is a time issue. If she was 50 during the War in Heaven then she would be 52 when the ic starts since Holy High was formed two years after the War in Heaven. And not sure a god who is essentially six would work or make sense. Since we got gods younger than that and are fully grown and matured. That and you should explain how your char's parents got together since they are from different pantheons. Along with just adding a bit more to the bio.

Just one problem I have, it is with rejuvenation since it can bring back the dead and and I am guessing gods too. Tone that back a bit or have it not be able to restore someone when they are dead and you are good to go.

Aguamobagua is incapable of being used to its fullest potential by anyone who isn't Abaguabana, with non-ocean gods blowing it finding that they cannot make a sound through it, and ocean gods capable of summoning small rains through it, but nothing more than that.

If people apply as Pantheonless after seeing yours got accepted. Since I want to keep it to real Pantheons instead of fictional or none ones.

Rejuvenation can't resurrect the dead, just turn back time enough to heal (most) injuries...but you're right, I need to clarify that in the app.

Personality: A warmed hearted god, Belamek is easy going and tries his best to get along with others when he can. He has a calm stoic outlook and seems to approach the world from a "steady as she goes" attitude.
Pantheon: Canaanite
Divine Parent(s): Moloch and Liluri
Domain: Stone, Fire and Sacrifice
Abilities:
Stone Manipulation: Can manipulate solid stone/rocks and of course stone like armored skin
Fire: Flame Manipulation, can breath fire, throw fireballs
Sacrifice: Anyone who gives him a gift will receive a small amount luck
Classes: History, Gym/Fighting, Diplomacy, Magic
Background: Belamek was born during the war in heaven when the greatest gods of the Earth, as the world raged around him he was too weak to do much but be a witness. His father Moloch and mother Liluri was destroyed in the ensuing divine chaos and the rest of his relatives cast into an unknown status. Belamek was under the care of an Egyptian god until he was dropped off at Holy High. Now he wants to start a new life, a new path into an new future where he can mingle and become friends with other gods and hopefully, salvage what he can of his own people. He does not let the past hold him down, only looking forwards. What mortal followers still align themselves with the Caananite Gods now speak in secret, uttering prayers and sacrifices to him in small circles, sometimes these are actually towards his father, but it matters not. He understands his fathers "reputation" but he does not care what others think, only what he knows.

I have only one problem with your app. If your char was born during the War in Heaven. Then he would be two since Holy High was founded two years after the War in Heaven. So either age him down or just have him be born earlier. Clear that up and you are good to go.

After thinking about it and talking with the co-ops. Your app is accepted, due to your chars history, she will be watched by someone just in case she tries anything.

Quick question just to confirm because I am getting interested in this RP

Do the abilities of the young god have to be related to their divine parents as well as their personalities? Or are we allowed to go a little bit creative with their abilities? And another question, is can I do some Aztec god as their divine parents? If yes then I already have an idea for the app and stuff, if not then, I will think of something else, its fine really

Nope, yes, and yes :)

No limits on the pantheon, the only caveat is that it has to be a pantheon from a mythology in real life.

Welcome fellow nationalist pantheon creator :)

Can do with the rest, but I wanted Apaieah to be the youngest - that was the vibe I was going for (though I guess every deity here is "the youngest" compared to the elder gods, so idk how that'd work out)

I was thinking the War-in-Heaven was a long time ago - so I guess I'll have to scale her back. I wanted to go with a fairly-young god who doesn't fit in with the rest, and is essentially a stickler due to "things before her," which is why she's effectively Six - that, and I was trying to avoid time issues anyways. (I, while avoiding explosions walked happily into ANOTHER explosion behind me)

Name: Anup
Gender: Male
Age: Physically ins his 20s, actual age is around 150 years old.
Appearance:
Image

Personality:

Contemplative and inquisitive about the nature - and end - of the other Gods, Anup can be silent and obsessed with the rites he inherited as responsibility. However, he is quite understanding of the human (and divine) fear of death, but is quite steady when it comes to those who actively try to cheat on death.
Pantheon: Egyptian
Divine Parent: Anubis, Anput
Domain: The Dead; Mummification and Funeral Rites; Judgement and Afterlife (shared with Osiris)
Abilities:
  • More than a Hound Dog: Anup can take upon his father's representative animal form, fully or partly. Fully, he becomes a particular type of pitch-black, giant jackal-dog hybrid, as depicted in the old Egyptian stories.
  • Medicine: As the son and apprentice of the God who presided over the domain of Embalming, Anup is a considerably skilled doctor, who can properly perform these rites and observe the causes of the deaths. He can also recommend means to avoid death itself, yet might not act on it given his judgement.
  • Magic: As the Egyptians understood magic through words, be it spoken or written, Anup is also skilled at the use of magic, often using it to trap his enemies with the gauzes of the mummification process, or powerful offensive displays using the energy of the dead. He can also use it passively, opening portals into the Duat or summoning the Scales to weigh one's heart. He's also known to use it along the ankh and flail to enhance his offensive capabilities.
Classes:
History
Magic
Creation/Crafting
Power Management
Humanities
Stargazing
Background:

Death is hardly a debate, even for the Gods and Goddesses who long for their immortal existence. One of many tales of divine rebirth hail from the Ancient Egypt, when Osiris, betrayed by brother and sliced apart in many pieces, was brought back to life by the joint effort of the other Gods... one of which was Anubis. The jackal-headed God, meticulous and precise in his matters, executed the divine mummification who allowed the God to rise once again, properly kept by the rites he knew and somehow shared with the mankind.

No procession in Egypt could be done without his presence, as a symbol that death - and judgement - would come. The rituals reserved for the worthy, the necessary process with their bodies before their souls would be taken to the Duat were represented by the masks that represented Anubis, along with his ankh and flail. As centuries progressed and he saw his name merged with the names of Roman Gods and his image turned into something he never wished to be, he longed for something different. Someone different.

Centuries took him to a decision: he needed a son. Kebechet, the deification of the embalming liquid played her role through the centuries, yet he needed someone else to keep his work. The Egyptian God who took so many to the land of the dead envied their everlasting peace, progressively training his newly formed son to keep up his work for the few that kept their faith in his works.

The War in Heaven, forcibly clashing Pantheon against Pantheon, only strengthened his belief in the need of a successor. Once again trusted with the task of protecting the bodies of those who fell by his side, Anubis took his son as an apprentice, giving him one of his own names to appoint him as his successor. Years of war developed a permanent sense of contemplation and determination into the young god, as his personality drastically changed along his father's lessons.

With the peace efforts made, he was sent to Holy High, hoping to learn more about the other Pantheons (and obviously, their views on death).
Nothing to see here, move along.

It can be but it is really what you want with your char in terms of abilities and domain. And yes Aztec gods is fine. As Nantoraka has said, your char's parents are be anything as long as they are gods from a real mythology.

Well, its going to be hard to be the youngest since we have a two year old god and that is a special case. So not really sure about her being the youngest can work really.

Name: Azcóatl (Short name: Az)
Gender: Male
Age: 19
Appearance:
Image

Personality: Azcóatl is known for his calm and peaceful way of handling ways, despite being the son of one of the most venerated gods of its pantheon, and most importantly, he lives a humble life to find the true meaning of inner peace. He is patient with those around him but is very distant lacking social skills of his own making him a very shy person and a more introverted being.
Pantheon: Aztec
Divine Parent(s): Coatlicue, Tlaloc
Domain: Thunder, Water, and Nature
Abilities:
Lighting Strike: As a gift from his father he was given the power to control the lighting of a storm and use it to take down a big line of enemies close to the lighting, it can be really powerful depending on the user. The downside to it is that there needs to be at least one cloud above the user of this power in order to work, otherwise the ability won't work

Diluvio: Rain is important for the crops to grow and feed an entire village, but a little too much might do a lot of harm. The ability would create clouds above the enemy in front and let it rain a deluge with freezing water that will freeze you if you are exposed for a long time to it, strong winds that push the enemy to a considerable distance, only used for self-defense or to escape a really powerful enemy. The downside is that the user needs to stay hydrated to use it, you can't make it rain if you are a desert yourself

Healing Flowers: Thanks to her mother, he was given the ability to spawn flowers around the user or any ally, that will illuminate the user, or ally and will slowly heal its wounds. Depending on the mastering of the ability, the healing will be faster and can cure even the worst diseases or wounds. The downside is that it uses a lot of vital energy of the user, and its side effects are feeling tired and exhausted, and what does the body do when tired and exhausted? Sleep, though its side effects can be reduced depending on how much the user masters this ability

Power of Nature: Az doesn't get angry too often, and it is very rare that he does, legend says that one day he was so angry he awoken a new ability. The power of thunder, water, and nature would start to flow around the user and combine them into one single-shot beam that destroyed everything in its path. Depending on the mastering of it, the power of the ability is, and the downside is that not only is it a one-time-use ability, but the user also needs to be angry enough to activate the skill. The refreshing of the ability makes it used only once after a month.
Classes: Power Management
Gym/Fighting
Magic
Diplomacy
Stargazing
Artistic Expression

Background:

The War of the gods was devastating and horrifying for Az, who believed that problems should be solved with words instead of fighting, but due to being young at the time he was not taken seriously and the result of it became clear with many innocent lives being lost in the process. So when the idea about making a school to unite the new generations and bring peace for the future to come, he was quite excited and his mother would let him assist for as long as he could bring every pantheon together but also advise him to be careful, who knows what type of dangers a teenager like him would get him into. Aside from all that he was ready to meet new people! And looking forward to this experience.

Two things
1) Freyr as a character is already taken up by Zei-Sakura
2) Can't app as an existing god mate, gotta app as a *child* of an existing god

Name: Azcóatl (Short name: Az)
Gender: Male
Age: 19
Appearance:

Forgot to add the appearance part xd. I fixed that
