Ezis Turns in Career best Result at Kimi Circuit
Kimi-Suomen Kävely, Kimi Circuit, Kimi Kaupunki, Kimi-Suomi :: A Largely consistent but unexciting debut season in the Everlong Contenders Series for longtime NSSCRA driver Rockii Ezis got a real kick start at the Kimi Circuit in Atlantian Oceania as Ezis piloted the #60 CoCoCo Dart to a best career finish. Ezis has been an NSSCRA competitor since Season 6 when they made their debut driving for Vilita and Turori Motorsports in what is now the Multiversal Cup Series at the Li River Speedway in The Sherpa Empire. After initial expecting to run the full NSSCRA Schedule with financial backing from the CoCoCo Logistics and Holdings company, Ezis was the odd driver out when Vilita and Turori Motorsports was forced to contract from a four-car team back down to three cars similar to what they had run during NSSCRA Season 5. After finishing 24th in their debut event, Ezis would improve during each of their first five starts culminating in a first career Top 5 finish at the Vilitan Mountain Challenge Course in their home event, finishing 4th.
For NSSCRA Season 7, Vilita and Turori Motorsports once again was unable to get Ezis on track at the start of the season. Ezis would make their season debut utilizing the home charter in the third race of the season at the Lonngeylin Ring in Vilita and Ezis once again put in a strong performance finishing 11th. The impressive showing would result in Ezis being entered as a non-charter driver for the remainder of the NSSCRA 7 campaign. Over the next 3 events Ezis would finish 9th in the Blue Coast 400 in Vangaziland then improve on their career best finish by placing 3rd at the Ferret National Autrodrome. Ezis would qualify as required on time in all but one event through the remainder of the season and would post a second Top Five finish of the season at the Andromeda Univeral Speedway in One Jamaica.
For NSSCRA Season 8, Ezis once again could not compete at the start of the season being entered only as the open charter driver at the Leruse International Speedway in Sedile. Ezis' personal sponsor the CoCoCo was tired of sitting on the sidelines and was looking for other ways to get their name on the track. After sponsoring a slew of other drivers including Rinzi Aogar Zahilwal, CoCoCo found the full time deal they were looking for making a deal with Rocket Motorsports for Ezis to compete full time in the #48 Rocket. Ezis was released from their contract at Vilita and Turori Motorsports and joined the Newmanistan based outfit immediately, popping off a pair of top 5 finishes at the Hapilopper Speedway and in the Pencurve Electronics 500 to round out the Regular Season and match their career best Top 5 performance mark. Ezis would cloe out the season with two more Top 10 finishes and a 13th place in the season ending Proving Grounds 500.
Ezis would return as a full time Chartered driver for NSSCRA Season 9 and competed in the Tundra Falls 500 for the first time in their four-season long NSSCRA Career. With 36 races on the schedule it was the longest season of NSSCRA Competition in history and with a guaranteed charter Ezis would start every single one of them nearly doubling their all-time career starts in the NSSCRA Cup Series. Unfortunately, the success that Ezis had early on after taking over the #48 car would not be quickly repeated with just one Top 10 finish in thei first 10 races of the season. Ezis would finally break through with a strong showing at the Groleau Vitres d'auto 500 - A Short Track race held only one time in the nation of Terre Septentrionale. It would be Ezis' second career podium finish and second career 3rd place finish - a feat they would equal again later in the season during the Tropicorp 500 at the Tropicoast Beach course. The 3rd place run in Tropicoast set off a three-race stretch of Top 10 finishes for Ezis, the best such streak in their racing career. From there, however, things would fall apart for the Rocket Motorsports team which posted just a single Top 20 finish once the NSSCRA Playoff rounds began.
With a shortened schedule in NSSCRA Season 10, Ezis returned to Rocket Motorsports but was knocked out of the Guaranteed Charter seat after the team signed reigning NSSCRA Championship Four driver Liangmei Li. In a highly competitive field, Ezis would qualify for just one of the first nine events - the Argo Petrol 350 at the Lannisburg Complex in New Northwesteros - despite numerous Top 25 overall efforts in Vilaye Energy Drink Pole Qualifying. In what was undoubtedly the worst season of Ezis' career, it didn't take long for rumors of a change to take hold. Once it was confirmed that Liangmei Li would return to Rocket Motorsports for NSSCRA Season 11 and retain the teams lone Guaranteed Charter, Ezis and the CoCoCo sponsorship jumped ship and signed on with Badai Angin Tim Motorsport of Filindostan.
Ezis would make just their second ever Tundra Falls 500 start in NSSCRA Season 11 but finished 40th in a disappointing debut for the new team. Things would improve slowly with Ezis consistently finishing between 18th-28th position throughout the regular season before finally posting a Top 15 run in the TJUN 600 at the Jungle Circuit. Ezis would round off the season with three more Top 15 finishes including at the Pencurve Electronics 500 where Ezis was looking at times to be a darkhorse candidate to win the race and steal a place in the NSSCRA playoffs. Ezis and team were expecting to return for NSSCRA Season 12 until it was announced that Badai Angin Tim would be ending their NSSCRA Stock Car operation to focus on their World Grand Prix Open wheel efforts. While the move would pay great dividends for Badai Angin Tim who would go on to win the WGPC 19 Constructors Title, it would unexpectedly leave Ezis without a ride once more for NSSCRA Season 12.
It is rumored that Ezis was working a deal with CoCoCo and the Race Eelandii Turorian AOCAR team to potentially run the Atlantian Oceania regional series but a series of musical chairs in the NSSCRA would eventually lead to a reunion with Vilita and Turori Motorsports. When former Vilita and Turori Motorsports driver Centur Tiones announced that he and the Tiones Lumber sponsorship would be switching over to Team Tropicorp for NSSCRA Season 12, it left an opening at Vilita and Turori Motorsports for the first time since NSSCRA Season 6. Ezis and CoCoCo immediately engaged in discussions with the team regarding the seat but it was ultimately determined that the full time drive would go to Everlong Contenders Series driver Islago Tizilna who had backing from major Vilita and Turori Motorsports partner the Vilisorma Beverage Company. Tizilna's promotion, however, would leave a seat open in the Contenders Series and with the prospect of finding a full time ride for NSSCRA Season 12 diminishing by the day, Ezis signed on to compete in the NSSCRA's second tier for the first time. The deal would result in more prominent placement for CoCoCo's CoCoGas brand and an agreement that CoCoLectric would not appear on the car outside of a contingency sized decal. While CoCoLectric and Arcticala Electric are not direct competitors in any market, with Arcticala Electric focusing more on modern, renewable electricity generation as well as infrastructure in the Vilitan Cove region, CoColectric is focused on Logistics and Distribution with minimal investment in future technology research. It is believed that Ezis' deal with the team also includes piloting the #60 at the NSSCRA Multiversal Cup Series events at the Lonngeylin Ring and the Vilitan Mountain Challenge Course as well as an entry into the Rumble in the Rice Fields with a view to a potential start at the Li River Speedway - one of Ezis' best statistical tracks on the Multiversal Cup Series circuit. Otherwise Ezis is expected to focus on the Everlong Contenders Series with a focus on finally winning an NSSCRA Sanctioned event for the first time in their career, and building a strong title challenge to attract a second chance ride in the Multiversal Cup Series for NSSCRA Season 13.
After a slew of Top 12 finishes to start the season as Ezis re-gained familiarity with the Dart Chassis and the slightly lower powered cars of the NSSCRA Everlong Contenders Series, the experience of the 7th-season driver really came to shine in the debut event at the Kimi Circuit in Kimi-Suomi. After qualifying in 14th position, Ezis would march methodically through the field - passing one car after another including series point leader Jixaka Motorai of Team Tropicorp to break into the Top 5. As the race neared its conclusion, Ezis was locked in a battle with the local driver Ilmari Pëkannen for the podium places. While Valkyrie Valentijn Samantha Constantine was too far in front to be caught for the Victory, Ezis would beat Pëkannen back to the line to finish in 2nd place - not only their best finish of the NSSCRA Everlong Contenders Series season but their best ever finish in an NSSCRA sanctioned event.
After the race, Ezis and the #60 CoCoCo team were visible thrilled with the performance. After a difficult two-season stretch without a Top 10 finish Ezis was in competitive equipment and proving they could still battle for victories - even if in the second tier of competition. The result would also move Ezis inside the Top 16 of the Everlong Contenders Series standings and ahead of teammates Lotara Novorali and Turakki Mayelli in 14th and 16th position respectively. In their post race interview, an excited Ezis checked off their 2nd place finish before exclaiming "Next Stop: Victory Lane!". If Ezis is able to find the winners circle at some point this season - regardless of which series they accomplish it in, they would set a new record for longest time passing between a first NSSCRA Sanctioned Race Start and first NSSCRA Sanctioned Race Victory.
