Tizilna Extracts VilBev Deal for NSSCRA Season 12

Image

Holly's True Delights 500, The Garden of Radiance, 12 km South-East of Reykjavík, Iceland, Victoriaans Nederlands, Valentine Z, Garden at 6th Mile Road :: The pressure on the young Islago Tizilna was palpable. As the first Vilita and Turori Motorsports driver eligible for the Coleman and Thorne Rookie of the Season since NSSCRA Season 6, there were high expectations for the driver competing in their first full season in the NSSCRA Multiversal Cup Series despite having completed just a single season in the Everlong Contenders Series. Tizilna and team unveiled the nearly all-black #4 Dart at the start of Speedweeks in Newmanistan, announcing that the Vilisorma Beverage Company would be the primary sponsor of the #4 Dart in no fewer than 20 of the 26 Races of the NSSCRA Season 12 campaign. The remaining Six Races will be events where Vilaye Energy Drink is serving as the primary sponsor of Tizilna's teammate #4 River 'Shark' Suzgar II. In those events, Tizilna's car will carry a slew of one off sponsors which have not yet been confirmed. However it is expected that at least two events will see the Parra Kala Mountain Gear company (PaKaMo Gear) take on the primary sponsorship of the #4 Dart for the Rookie Driver.

Tizilna's first ever Tundra Falls 500 race weekend started strong with the rookie qualifying 11th for the season opener. On race day, however, the inexperience as the laps wound down ended up costing not only Tizilna but the entire Vilita and Turori Motorsports trio as the #4 slipped back into the pack and left the Shark hung out to dry with no help in the closing laps, both drivers falling down into the 20's.

Tizilna would have another decent qualifying run at a very different style track one week later in the Sherpa Empire. Their first time in competition at the 0.7 mile oval, Tizilna would put in the 18th fastest time though teammate River 'Shark' Suzgar II would start from the pole. Tizilna would struggle once again over the 500 lap distance falling back from their starting position down to the 26th position. After two races, Tizilna was second amongst rookie drivers just two points behind #39 Rustam Ilyich Yudin of UrGa Motorsports. Yet another discipline in the very diverse NSSCRA Multiversal Cup Series schedule would come on the Road Course in TJUN-ia at the Race of Oceania. Tizilna would for the first time out qualify both of their teammates with the 13th fastest lap time. As the highest qualifying Vilita and Turori Motorsports driver, many expectations were on Tizilna to record a strong finish - And Tizilna would do just that. The Rookie driver would last the distance at the Adelaide Park Circuit and even out pace teammate and NSSCRA Season 6 Champion River 'Shark' Suzgar II to post their best career NSSCRA Multiversal Cup Series Finish: 16th place. With fellow rookie driver Rustam Ilyich Yudin failing to finish the Race of Oceania, it would also allow Tizilna to move up into the top spot in the Coleman and Thorne Rookie of the Season standings.

The Holly's True Delight's 500 at the Garden at 6th Mile Road will be the last of a stretch of 4 races to start the season where Tizilna's #4 will carry the Vilaye Energy Drink logos after the #14 of River 'Shark' Suzgar II had been sponsored by Toys '4' All and the Dart Group in the first two races of the season and will be sponsored by the Vilitan National Tourism Board in the Garden at 6th Mile Road. A Summary of Tizilna's Primary Sponsors for the NSSCRA 12 Season was distributed with the teams press kit for the season:

:: Vilaye Energy Drink

Vilaye Energy Drink, supposedly made from natural extracts and minimal artificial processing - but always reluctant to reveal the true ingredients - has long been a supporter of Vilitan sporting ventures. Vilaye stepped up their involvement in Vilitan sport after the restart of the Vilitan league by taking a place as sponsors of the seasonal Tropical Trophy matchup as well as kit sponsorships. Vilaye funded much of the development work for the stand up of the Vilita & Turori Motorsports team prior to WGPC 11 and has been a personal services sponsor for Vilitan drivers R.L. Cruisin and Jama'obo Pegasii throughout their racing careers. The Vilisorma Beverage Company has expanded their influence particularly in motorsports during recent seasons, backing NSSCRA Season 6 Champion River 'Shark' Suzgar II and taking the brand new Vilaye EnergySport moniker to the track with Jama'obo Pegasii and Skiia Vialiv, first at standalone special events and then into full time competition on the World Grand Prix 2 and the AOCAR Stock Car Series with Vilaye EnergySport. Vilaye Energy Drink will serve as a the primary sponsor on Islago Tizilna's #4 Vilita and Turori Motorsports Dart in most events when it is not serving as the advertised primary sponsor on River 'Shark' Suzgar II's #14 Dart.

:: Inura Extracts

Perhaps looking to build off the success of the addictive Cocoa-bo product line, one grassroots trend amongst Turorians has begun to package itself in a way to take advantage of the craze through Inura Extracts, LLC. Claiming to specialize in all natural plant extracts source directly from the Inura Forest region of Turori, Inura Extracts has begun distributing everything from Aromatics and Spices to Dietary Supplements under the Inura Extracts moniker. While Cocoa-bo has claimed no direct relationship with the company, Inura Extracts have certainly not made any attempts to distance themselves from rumors that they are sourcing their extracts from the same sources the local beverage and delectable phenoms Cocoa-bo and the Vilisorma Beverage Company, makers of Vilaye Energy Drink, collect the raw material for their own product lines. Others, however, have suggested that the Inura Extracts company and its product line are just a hoax looking to make a quick buck off trendy nutritional swings throughout the Vilitan Cove region.

Looking to legitimize their brand and separate them from those who doubt the authenticity of their products, the Inura Extracts company have signed an agreement with the Vilisorma Beverage Company to assist in the extraction of the raw ingredients used in some of VilBev's top products including Vilaye Energy Drink. In the Business-to-Business deal, Inura Extracts will receive payment for services in the form of appearing on the hood of Islago Tizilna's #4 Vilita and Turori Motorsports Dart in all events where the Vilisorma Beverage Company has secured the primary sponsorship.

:: PaKaMo Gear

Based in the Parra Kala Mountains, PaKaMo is the choice provider of Winter Gear from outerwear to sport equipment for many of the Vilitan Union individual Olympians. While Tropicorp Sports is the official supplier for casual attire and athletic gear for Team and Indoor sports, PaKaMo Gear is outfitting all of the Vilitan Union's ski sport athletes in Neverend as well as being the ski and snowboard equipment provider for a number of the Vilitan athletes. PaKaMo got its start in a cabin in the Parra Kala Mountains and has expanded as demand for Winter Athletic Gear and Equipment has risen in the Vilitan Cove region, particularly following the unexpected success of Vilita's performance in the Arcon Olympic Games in Saugeais. PaKaMo maintains its presence in the mountains they have two locations in downtown Yeaddin in addition to the company offices. Fans in the area for the Olympic Games can visit the nearby PaKaMo build house to view the process involved in creating PaKaMo's handcrafted Snowboards.

While PaKaMo is the major sponsor of the Parra Kala Overnight, A Ski-Sports competition traditionally held in Vilita after the first major snowfall (If it occurs) in the Mountainous region in a given season, the XIV Winter Olympic Games were the first time PaKaMo has been affiliated with a major Internationstatal Sporting Event. The brand was a small scale sponsor on Vilitan and Turorian driver Skiia Vialiv attempt to qualify for the Rumble in the Rice Fields event on the IRACT Circuit in the Sherpa Empire and have continued their relationship with the driver into the World Grand Prix 2 Vilaye EnergySport Grand Prix. That partnership between Pakamo Gear and the Vilisorma Beverage Company has now extended into the NSSCRA with driver Islago Tizilna who is expected to drive two races with PaKaMo in the primary sponsor role during NSSCRA Season 12.

AOCAR Stock Car Series Season Set to Kick off in Lopinka

Image
Lopinka National Speedway, Lopinka, Vilita :: For the second consecutive season, the Lopinka National Speedway will serve as the opening round for the AOCAR Stock Car Series. The regional-level series was a welcome addition to the schedule for many fans of Stock Car Racing in Vilita and Turori as it also meant the refurbishment of a track that for many was a fan favorite in Vilita. It has also been a welcome injection into the local economy in Lopinka as the track, which had been largely shuttered other than having been used as a qualification venue for the XIII Olympic Games demonstration events, has seen a resurgence of late with both the AOCAR Stock Car Series and Atlantian Oceania Grand Prix circuit racing at the complex in the previous season thanks to the efforts of Atlantian Oceania Competitive Auto Racing (AOCAR) Stock Car Series and local officials who endured a campaign to clean up the racing surface, repairing defects and re-painting the outside walls.

Officials have decided that the Dart Dash will return for AOCAR Season 2, a race which was won during Season 1 by Super Speedway specialist Yasir Nasri of the Sultanate of Oontaz. Local driver Anavella Ariiki of Team Tropicorp was the first pole sitter for the Lopinka 303 presented by Racing Collectibles but was taken out of contention late in the race after an incident with another local driver, Juracai Klianiota. Team Blue's Devin Whitaker from Hapilopper would ultimately take the win over the rookie driver from Turori- Umbalu Trisirala.

While during its inaugural season the AOCAR Stock Car Series would move from Lopinka on to back-to-back races in Aji No Moto, during AOCAR Season 2 the series will instead transition from Lopinka to the Sultante of Oontaz for back to back events which will also see the first combination event alongside the NSSCRA Circuit with a triple header weekend at the Rowell Salcedo Commemorative Racing Circuit featuring the AOCAR Stock Car Series, Everlong Contender's Series and Multiversal Cup Series events on successive days in Kota Nibabalu.

Not good enough.

Ezekiel Rodger sat in his #0, in the garage after finishing 38th in the Holly’s True Delights 500. The frigid Icelandic- or would it be Valentinian? Gardener? Victorian Dutch? He didn’t know, honestly, but he preferred getting it correct if he could. The frigid air had settled into the garage, as the sun started to set and the teams hurriedly packed up for the trip to Qzvarkian Qaz.

Zeke hadn’t yet done that. All he seemed to want to do was contemplate how things had been so far. Four races, at four different kinds of tracks. The unstoppable speed of Tundra Falls, the beating and banging tight action of Ramba, the city streets of Adelaide, and the frozen triangle of the Garden of Radiance- all had their own kind of style, and all of them had shown Zeke the same thing.

He was in as deep as everyone said he would be.

While he’d kept it out of the wall on every occasion, he’d consistently finished in the 30th-39th places. Usually slower than some of the go-or-go-homer qualifiers, he’d line up on the grid, stay near his fellow competitors new to the circuit, avoid an early DNF and keep the car in one piece, bringing it home unceremoniously.

So was this what he wanted? To represent his nation like… this? Well, it was why he even showed up. Why he ignored trying out the Everlong series first. He had to go big. Except now, he saw where it was getting him. Nowhere. The prize payouts were enough to justify coming to qualify, but every race was already becoming the same mediocre showing he had desperately hoped wouldn’t be the case.

He paused, trying to take a sip of the can of Eon Energy he had. A quick gulp, and he grimaced at the feel. It wasn’t a bad taste, he really adored it- it was just very intense in his opinion. But at least at the moment, they didn’t have anything milder than the baseline. Alongside the base and its flavors, there was Eon Keystone, an even more powerful variant marked with purple stripes; even just 100 mL in the morning could get anyone out of bed. What they needed was the opposite, Zeke thought, barely caring as his thoughts drifted off topic. Something you drank for the flavor, not for the jolt.

As he was originally thinking, though, was racing in the back what he wanted? He thought briefly about the Coleman&Thorne Rookie of the Year Award, which seemed a bit more appropriate for him to reach for, but other competitors, those with seemingly more energy and availability to go for it, were already leaving him behind. If he recalled correctly, after this race, the rookie leader had about double his points, and at the pace things were going, it’d only get larger.

The NSSCRA was odd to him in a few ways. Winning the championship didn’t come down to just holding onto your car for 26 races, it meant making a breakout run at some race in the first 16, after which everything else lost its meaning, and then holding on through standings reset after standings reset as drivers too far back were slowly eliminated until just 4 were left. It felt discouraging, that for 30 drivers in the field, their championship runs were automatically over after 16 races, whether or not they could mathematically make it. Unlike the WGPC, in which wins meant a lot of points, but not everyone got them, and doing poorly meant your gaps could be cut into, though at least it wasn’t just an invalidation of your hard work. It was a penalty to you for not keeping up the work you’d earlier had done. That world was where things seemed to make more sense- at least, back when Jean Mercer-Daly was in his brief prime.

Whoever was going to follow him had a tough act and a giant hill to climb. At that moment, one of his crew members came up to him, asking how things were. Zeke only said he was fine, just discouraged slightly at how tough it was at the start. The crewman agreed, but smiled, saying he was just happy to be here, working on Zeke’s team. Zeke asked more to the crewman, wishing to understand the ramshackle crew he’d put together. He said his name was Floyd, and that he was the fuelman for Zeke’s pit stops, plugging in the can of Argo Petrol to keep the car going. He’d come from a small town in Rainier Province, not too far from the spectacular Forest Cross Raceway, which hosted the 2018 Esmerelian Grand Prix before being repeatedly shafted by the WGPO and stuck as a preseason testing venue, up until 2021 where it wasn’t even that. Moving on, though, Floyd was as much a car enthusiast as Zeke, but was always too big to reasonably drive in the weeklys. The next best thing, he said, was to work on a team helping another driver, and using his strength to do so properly. He indeed seemed to be strong, so Zeke asked for Floyd to help him out of his car door, which he did, after which, Zeke smiled back at Floyd. It seemed to give him repose- or, rather, them both.

Zeke told Floyd to gather some of the other crew members and get everything packed up for the next round. If Zeke was to be anything else this season, he’d need to work at it, and he couldn't just be alone. Three of the next four rounds would be on road courses, after which, Esmerel had somehow snookered in a race. While the car might have been nothing like an open-wheeler, driving the same kinds of tracks Zeke watched Esmerel’s hero, Jean Mercer-Daly, tear up in the WGPC, gave him a few more ideas how maybe to improve.

Not good enough.

It wasn’t wrong to say that was how things had been so far.

But it didn’t have to stay that way, and if anything, Zeke would have a go at just that.

Gongming Gao still called home now and then to talk to his parents, but he had not seen them for several months, and he could not go home now even if he wanted to. There were no flights. And if he did get home somehow, he would not be able to leave again.

Sometimes his mother still railed against him for dating Alice and going overseas. Other times she said she forgave him, but only because she was scared and she did not want to die estranged from her son.

When they talked about the virus, she veered from one conspiracy theory to another. One day she said the virus was a hoax. The next time Gao talked to her, she would blame the Sherpas for allowing the epidemic to happen. On bad days, she said the virus was a Sherpa bioweapon. (In her defense, the Sherpa Empire really did have a biological weapons program.)

All the while, the stories Gao saw on the news kept getting worse. Lanzhou ran out of hospital beds. They ran out of ventilators. They built funeral pyres because the demand for cremations outstripped the capacity of the city's crematoria. The same story played out in other cities too, and a lot of people refused to take the steps that were needed to stop all the death and misery because they did not want to admit they were wrong. Early on, when the virus was ripping through northern Pharak, they had blamed socialized medicine and Sherpa authoritarianism. Now that the tables were turned and it was the North getting clobbered, people did not want to change their tune. It was hard to watch.

Gongming Gao knew that his calls home sometimes made him emotional, so he never called the night before a race. He would call after the race, or a couple of days before. He always gave himself some time to calm down.

After the Krbustan Automotive 125 Gao called home to tell his parents how things went. He started talking about the race, but then he noticed that his mother was coughing more than usual. "Are you sick?" he asked.

"Oh, it's nothing," said his mother. "It's just the dust bothering me."

"Did you get tested?" Gao asked, now more concerned about his mother's health than he was about the race.

"I don't have Wuchang coronavirus," his mother said. "It's just the dust."

The Holly's True Delights 500 was set in The Garden of Radiance. Today, someone would certainly gain its graces...but who would it be? As it would turn out, this day here in Iceland - in a race classified for the Garden at 6th Mile Road - would be one to remember for us all...like that day in Bolgano long ago.

Firstly, some things we need to get out of the way. This race was certainly kinder to us all with only 2 cars, that of Chris Holmes and Wilma von Cärinthen, failed to make the end. Those two big names being the only two to fall is certainly a good sign for everyone else, who actually managed some generally clean racing across most of the field. Aurélia Karvonen did well enough for herself today, getting as high as P5 at one point on route to a finish in 35th. Lam Chow-Chueng, on the other hand, was more consistent in the midfield but some late running in the Top 30 pushed them to 31st by the line in what was certainly HM's best race by far.

Now then, onto our guys and this one would certainly be interesting. Let's start with Maddison Riley-Jones (@MaddyRJ03) from 3rd who compared to her teammates would be off the pace overall. Sure, 26th isn't the worst place to be in a race with 46 drivers in it but considering where she was in standings heading into today, this was an off performance by Maddy today. Now 11th in the points standings, she will have some work to do...but that didn't matter for today, considering everything that happened up ahead.

Michael Stefan (@Stefan07) started from 18th and Alfonso Mercado (@AM64) from 10th, but both of them had brilliant races out there in the Icelandic sunshine. It seemed that towards the 2nd half of the race, the crew chiefs of both #07 and #64 told them to coordinate their efforts...and you knew the boyfriends wouldn't say no to that at all. They would consistently be in the top 10 from here on out and when the white flag came out, it would turn into a 5-way battle for that spot in the Chase - Rinzi Aogar Zakhilwal, the Shark of River Suzgar, Sage Caldwell, Micky and Alfie. Sage and Micky would be out of the picture by the final corner, finishing 4th and 5th respectively, but the battle between the other three would do down to the line, all three of them wanting that win above all else. The wait for the official results felt like forever but in the end, the unofficial results were goddamn correct. The Shark was 3rd, Rinzi was 2nd...and #64 was 1st by literal millimetres. Alfonso Mercado, the one who hadn't tasted glory out of last season's 5, the one who was forced out of the closet long ago, the one who had been fighting for an opportunity to be considered an equal to his boyfriend...had finally done it. Alfonso Mercado was an NSSCRA race winner after more than 3 years and you better believe that the entire country, still mourning our IBC Final loss, woke the fuck up and celebrated like mad.

AM: VAMOS! Is it time for the doughnuts?
HG: Certainly, Alfonso! FIRE AWAY, AMIGO!

He certainly did do that out there and my word, he bloody deserved every second he got to spin in that blue #64 car for the very first time, waving that rainbow TJUN-ian flag he had waited a very long time to pull out of his Dart. He was certainly excited out on track, but the tears were certainly flowing when he got to Victory Lane and everyone could understand why. He and Stefan would share a moment out there we would all never forget, a moment of pure bliss between two guys who've been through a hell of a lot together. This time, The Rivers and Seas would be played for car #64 and my word, it was glorious.

We're all in Qzvarkian Qaz next week but before I go, I had to get Mercado to pick his song. He quickly wrote it down before he and Stefan ran off to do...whatever. What song was it? Well, uh...let's just say the video may not be something you want to show your kids. Let's just say that, uh...they may be busy. See you soon!

一个梦 (A Dream/Unelma)

Postby Kimi-Suomi » Tue Mar 08, 2022 2:30 am

They float among a sea of stars.
他们漂浮在星辰大海中。
(Tāmen piāofú zài xīngchén dàhǎi zhōng.)
Ne kelluvat tähtien meressä.

They are defended by seven angels, four in blue and three in purple.
他们由七位天使保卫,四位蓝色,三位紫色。
(Tāmen yóu qī wèi tiānshǐ bǎowèi, sì wèi lán sè, sān wèi zǐsè.)
Heitä puolustaa seitsemän enkeliä, neljä sinisessä ja kolme purppurassa.

These angels allow them to float along, spreading peace and love throughout the sea of stars.
这些天使让他们随波逐流,在星海中传播和平与爱。
(Zhèxiē tiānshǐ ràng tāmen suíbōzhúliú, zài xīnghǎi zhōng chuánbò hépíng yǔ ài.)
Nämä enkelit antavat heidän kellua mukana levittäen rauhaa ja rakkautta tähtien merelle.

But then the sky cracked and crumbled, sending them falling towards the darkness.

The darkness contained a single word: Freak!
黑暗中只有一个字:怪胎!
(Hēi'àn zhōng zhǐyǒu yīgè zì: Guài tāi!)
Pimeys sisälsi yhden sanan: Kummajainen!

The last thing they saw were two angels, one man in blue and one woman in purple, rushing to try and save them.

They woke up with a start. What did that mean? Is this omen a blessing or a curse? Or is it just something related to what they've already seen?
One thing was for certain - those angels they certainly knew...especially the two who tried to save them, a King of Owls and a Queen of Birds.

Rinzi felt lightheaded, happy, exhausted, and still high on adrenaline as he made his way to the podium. He ruffled Mercado's hair the same way he liked to do to Qiang and said in heavily accented English, "Way to go man!"

Sometimes finishing 2nd could be frustrating because it meant you had narrowly missed out on a win, but this time it did not bother Rinzi. He knew he had put up a good fight, and came close enough to make things exciting. Maybe next time they had a close race like this, it would go his way -- but this time God had smiled on one of His other children.

Qiang returned to his hauler and changed out of his firesuit. The race had not been anything special for him. He had been the slowest of the three Sherpa drivers -- not exactly living up to his reputation as the king of Sherpa stock car racing. As he set his helmet down, he paused and spent a moment peering at his own reflection in the glossy finish. He was finally starting to look like a normal functional adult. He still didn't always feel like one, but at least he was starting to look the part. It was weird... Maybe soon people would stop carding him when he ordered drinks?

Qiang went to see what his crew and his wives were up to. Houzhi Chang was nowhere to be found, probably talking to his Yeezie girlfriend again, and Mendok was using Qiang's tools to weld something. She had not bothered to ask permission. "Mendok, what are you doing?" he asked.

"I'm welding," Mendok said, smiling proudly.

"Yeah, you're welding something with my welding torch," said Qiang. "What are you welding?"

"It's going to be a ventilator when I'm done," Mendok explained. "I'm trying to design one that's quick to build so they can rush them to Northern hospitals when infections spike."

"Okay," said Qiang. "But why are you doing it at an NSSCRA track and why are you using my welding torch?"

Mendok shrugged and smiled sweetly. "I just had a flash of inspiration!"

"In the middle of a race?"

Mendok nodded enthusiastically.

It was late in the evening, and Rinzi and Tashi were snuggled in their big Valentian bed, having a quiet conversation about their future. Tashi was still hesitant to have kids because of how it would interfere with her career.

"Tashi, you will still be beautiful when you are pregnant," said Rinzi. "If you can't do runway shows, then you can find other kinds of work. I'm sure people who sell stuff for pregnant women or babies need to make ads for their products. Or you could report on NSSCRA or start your own modeling agency and help other women who are just starting out. If you find a translator, that pretty French girl could be your first client. You are smart enough to do lots of things besides runway shows and working the AutoModi booth."

(Rinzi assumes Leujouje is French because the Sherpa Empire's world has a modern racially diverse version of France.)

"Maybe," said Tashi. She had said maybe before, but there was something subtly different about the way she said it this time. Rinzi thought he had finally convinced her. He smiled. Things really were looking up.

The Valentians – Race 4 – Multiversal: Holly's True Delights 500, The Garden of Radiance, 12 km South-East of Reykjavík, Iceland, Victoriaans Nederlands, Valentine Z, Garden at 6th Mile Road (Speedway); Everlong: Krbustan Automotive 125, Arbea International Circuit, Krbustan (Road Course)

"6th and 15th, great job, you two!" Head Engineer Tiffany Violet Sunshine Charlotte Zelina “Duō Gōngnéng Jī” Alessandra Jennesa Cassandra Haley Hanneke Karlijn Gerrieke Roosmarijn Pnt Mollen Audrey Mariel Jeanette Smiley spoke and echoed through the headsets of Valkyrie Valentijn Samantha Constantine and Marcus Alan Ariel Reynolds as they crossed the finish line. It was not a bad performance by any means, and considering what they have went through in the first race, this was certainly welcome. Tiffany turned off both channels on her headset, happy of another job well done. Normally, a NSSCRA would be attached to one crew chief, but Tiffany did the unthinkable of that moment and volunteered to be in charge for both of the Valentian Everlong drivers. This is in part due to the fact that she is a robot just like Clarissa and Adriana, though historically, she was built a little differently from the other androids and robots, specializing in crowd control, search and rescue, and basically taking the blunt forces and to tank as much damage as she can as part of Hong Kong Police Force's asset in the days of the Pre-Valentian Eras. Found in her deactivated state, she was refurbished and reactivated, followed by having given a slew of upgrades upon her consent, eventually becoming yet another one of the valuable members of The Sixty as she helped in the day-to-day operations for Valentine Z, especially with the engineering and more infrastructure-based solutions. She also enjoys working with the other robots who operates in the likes of her, such as Clarissa and Adriana.

Going back to the NSSCRA race, with the Everlong race being wrapped up, it was time for Valentijn and Marcus, and the rest of the Valentians, to quickly go back home in order to cheer and physically spectate the race happening in Iceland. After all, this was going to be the very first race hosted by Holly Starlight, one that she holds quite a lot of pride and confidence to, as well as some anxiety from the fact that she might not be able to run it smoothly as the rest of the Valentians. "We will come back and visit Krbustan again some day," Valentijn commented as she walked her way to her dropship, reporters and journalists behind her, "For now, we really have somewhere to be, and we would like to go back to Valentine Z in order to support our friend there. Hey, see you guys there later!" and with that, they are off, just in time for the races. The qualifications were over, but nothing much has happened just yet.

Holly Starlight, as per the schedule, have only started off the ceremonies and the formalities just before the actual Multiversal race begins, on the race itself. With the Everlong Valentians having arriving, Holly was given a bit more reassurance, even if it was in the form of Valentijn, Marcus, Tiffany, and a few other Valentians. Nodding and giving Valentijn a small handshake, Holly walked up to the center of the race course, with all the cameras – both from the Valentians and the rest of the world and multiverse – aimed at her and capturing every detail. She began with a short speech, "Thank you very much to you all for coming, to my very first event ever that I have hosted for quite a lot of people! Normally, I am a little shy as you can all tell, hm hm! Ahh, anyway, with the qualifications looking great for many, I would like to wish you all the best, and I am sure that all of you will be able to get some amazing results out there! The race will begin in 30 minutes, so before that, here's a little performance from me! Before I begin, I would like to enforce the standard rules: Please stand behind the designated lines on the ground, and please, do not approach me let alone touch me! You all know that this is less to protect me from you all, and instead because I am a very cold being! I would hate to see you getting frostbitten on my very first organized event, you know?"

And the performance began. Isolating herself on the middle of the field as aforementioned, keeping a large distance from the nearest circles of photographers, reporters, and videographers, Holly nodded and has finally begun her performance – a series of dances and ballerina spins, followed by some twirling and creating holographic projections and lights using her own hands. At the 1:25 mark of the performance, Holly finished one part her dance moves, then producing a string in a color that is of lighter shade of blue, as well as glowing much more intensely compared to her. She did a couple of usual dances, followed by gravity-defying and a series of impossible moves that was only possible for her thanks to her nature of it all. The Valentians have been impressed by her, even after growing up alongside her as she made often-frequent-but-rare visits to Valentine Z to interact with the people around her.

After the breath-taking 15 minutes, the performance came to an end. With 15 minutes left, it was time for the Valentians and every other drivers to get onto their cars and to start racing around this mysterious and cold yet lovely and heart-warming track. The Valentine Z anthem was not played for this course, since it was technically Holly's organized and hosted race, and she did not have an anthem to begin with. On top of that, it was her event, not the Valentians who certainly did not want to shove themselves into the centre of attention. For once, Holly was happy with the attention and love she was getting, an interaction that she always worried because of how she has seen other worlds and countries being overdriven by greed, her nature and world simply ripe for their taking due to the excess and incomprehensibly large amount of energy that they contain. Holly increasingly was happy at NSSCRA.

-----

As for the race itself, it went relatively well, with both the main team Valentians and the Gardeners getting decent positions. Jolyn was a little lacking at the end, being unable to maintain the middle grounds of the pack, let alone the top 20 or the top 10. She finished with a rather mediocre 34th, perhaps vowing to do better and to train on the simulation many more times. "It happens now and then, I wouldn't be too worried about it, for now at least," she remarked, "This is only the 4th race after all, though truth be told, I will need to pick up the pace because goodness knows the points accumulate with each of the races a little too quickly." On the other hand, even Anna Star got into the race, not needing the safety net that is the guaranteed open charter since Holly hosted the race, and The Gardeners were able to use it for Anna should she fail. Still, with the comeback of the qualifications, she then went on to get the best finish for The Gardeners at the 20th position. Going back to the main team Valentians, with a placement of 19th, 8th, and 7th for Clarissa, Anastasia, and Gwen respectively, they too were able to get a bit of a home advantage. They were fine with the results for the most parts, with Valentijn and Gwen in particular taking note at the positions and the finishes of the other non-Valentian drivers. A certain pattern, perhaps, then the idea.

With all of the Valentians at the dropship, Valentijn pulled out the screen and projected the spreadsheet containing the finishes and rankings of the drivers for Holly's Delights. With her long arm and a slightly longer than usual finger to boot, she then pointed slowly at the three drivers in particular, "I have to tell you guys, this is quite impressive! Normally, we will only see two drivers at most being able to go bumper to bumper with their finishes. For example, Gwen and Anastasia today. Nice one, guys! And hey, Clarissa and Anna too, don't worry about it. You guys will do better! So- anyway, maybeee I have missed it before, but this is the first time, you know? Look – three drivers. #18 Jeremiah, #27 Stacie, and #46 Thea. It's amazing, yeah?" she then cleared her throat, as she called for another Valentian to come join her. Donning her pink hair and with a series of devices on her hand displaying the latest market prices and economic statuses of each of the Valentian states and autonomous regions, it was none other than Trade Representative Charmaine Marissa Hannah “Universal Börsenmakler en Verkäuferin” Katherine Vivian Hadriane Gwyneth Amy Emilia Margrit Vera Carina Ivanne Augusta D. Melny Teresa heading into the dropship. As her title suggests, when the Valentians needed some financing and logistics done, she is the one to do it. As for Valentijn, there was a purpose as to why she called Charmaine along for the meeting. As if on cue, Charmaine hopped onto Valentijn's palms, the former still punching numbers onto her wrist computer. "Hey, Charmaine! Glad to have you around." Both of them exchanged a smile and a nod, then went onto her idea, "All right, now you guys will be able to hear this too, and for the first time, of course! So, remember how the Hapilopperians have done the prize thingies at their courses? We are not here to one-up them, of course, they are our friends! I don't see any reason to do that. However, what IF, what if we host a big prize pool for the three lucky drivers to get a podium in any of the races during NSSCRA 12? It would be amazing!" as she cleared her throat, Valentijn waited for the rest of them to take it in and react back, to which the reactions were more than ideal. Everyone was on with the idea, just that Charmaine was here in order to ensure that the Valentians are not taking from their other funds in order to use it as a prize. She punched in a few more numbers, "So I have accounted for all of the proceedings from NSSCRA – from all of the seasons, and well, from the merchandise and other stuff as well. Taking out the amount that we have used for education, hospitals, public transport. Ah! This is the amount we have!" she said with pride in her voice.

And the following morning after the victory and with Holly presenting a gift prize of her own to the winner (Alfonso Mercado of TJUN-ia), Valentijn sent this email after they have went through the editing and vetting processes.

After crunching the numbers and accounting for every single ethical calculation and spendings, we would like to announce that we have the surplus money from NSSCRA proceedings – both from ticket sales and from merchandise – to host what is possibly the once in a rare while and blue moon prize – The Treesome Team! All of you are automatically legible for this race, as long as you are all from the same nation and team (for example, Clarissa, Anastasia, Gwen; Jeremiah, Stacie, Thea; Drake, Taylor, Chris; etc). What do you need to do, you ask? Oh, it's simple! In any of the races, get a podium finish consisting of ALL of your team! What is the prize? A few guesses? Thousands? Hundreds of thousands? Maybeeee a million? 2 million? 2.5 million? Okay, I will stop toying with you guys…

600 MILLION DOLLARS (NSD). No, your eyes are not deceiving. That's right! Each of you have a chance to walk away with 200 million dollars each! And before you guys ask, don't worry! In short, money from our NSSCRA sales, then a bit of our savings…

Well, what else?

Good luck! May the best triple driver win!

The journey to NSSCRA was often a long and grueling one, and for one Ganglie Zhe, he never thought that he was actually going to go on such a journey himself.

Ganglie liked racing, and he liked to watch other people race each other around, but he never thought that he was going to be one of those people. Not that he didn't have the desire, but opportunities didn't really come readily to a Pridnestrovian-born Chinese like him. For all of its claims of being a nation where all individuals are equal under the formerly socialist government, the Pridnestrovian people still held a few racist views and opinions on those who were not Slavic like them. The Chinese Pridnestrovians were among those considered the lowest of the low on the societal hierarchy, lower than even the Turkic Hatayese that were usually considered the biggest victims of systemic racism in Pridnestrovia. Despite getting a degree in mechanical engineering at the Bender Academy of Sciences, one of the most prestigious institutions in the country, Ganglie was not able to get any decent or respectable engineering jobs within Pridnestrovia. He was then forced to lower his expectations and applied for any job thay he could find before eventually settling into a job with a CGPRA team based in the country, where he was trained to work as a tire changer in the pit stop crew. Zhe wouldn't have minded working there at all had it not been for the way that a certain Osip Pinchuk treated him, and when Pinchuk outright blamed Zhe for a mistake in the pit stop and called him names that would make even Guillermo Archer blush, Ganglie knew that he had no future in Pridnestrovia.

Things weren't much better when Zhe moved to Abanhfleft, but at least he wasn't as discriminated as he was back in Pridnestrovia. The problem with Abanhfleft though was that the market was just saturated with mechanical engineers. Vacancies were hard to come by, and when they did open up, almost everyone wanted to apply for them. Zhe ended up applying for any and every conceivable job opening under the sun, and that was what led him back to the world of racing, and to one Leonidas Baxter.

While Leo Baxter was most famous for his basketball exploits, he was also known to be an avid fan of racing and fast cars. In his twilight years with the Fleftic Basketball Association (FBA), Leo started dabbling in the Abanhfleft Racing Truck Series, first as a guest driver filling in for random teams before he eventually formed his own team, 142 Racing. His results were unremarkable, but at least he was actually a decent driver who could finish races and was not a threat to the rest of the grid. Ganglie had been hired by 142 Racing as a spotter for Leo, and when Leo was recruited by Urotovsky-Gatutin to become part of their new NSSCRA team, Leo brought Zhe along with him. And then Leo noticed that Zhe liked to spend some time in the simulator rig, which gave Leo the idea to put Zhe behind the wheel of a racing car in a few open races, and it was from there that Ganglie realized that maybe he actually liked racing after all.

And now here he was, having just pulled off the race of his life in the NSSCRA Everlong Series. It was fair to say that Ganglie Zhe’s start to the current season was ignominious at best, with him starting near the back of the field in the Prospect Showcase at the Tundra Falls Proving Grounds before being among those who were collected by Daryl Calhoun’s incident at the actual Tundra Falls 400. But Zhe’s results had been improving since then, even if his qualifying results still left a lot to be desired. And now, here in Krbustan, it looked like Zhe had just done the impossible. He had qualified dead last out of all the runners in the Everlong Series, and Zhe knew that he had his work cut out for him if he wanted to continue his record of improving his race results with every race that went by.

Zhe couldn’t explain it. To this day, he still couldn’t. But on that day in Krbustan, he just felt unstoppable. He was going through traffic like nobody’s business. He was also helped by the fact that his pit crew were firing on all cylinders that day, allowing him to keep or even gain positions during the pit stop cycles, and soon he was right in the mix against two of the Skip Stiller Speedworks cars, driven by defending Everlong champion Daryl Calhoun and newcomer Lexi Patterson. Calhoun had endured a tough start to the season as well (notably sparked off by that crash in the Tundra Falls 400) before he finally got back into his rhythm and started his campaign to defend his crown in earnest. But there was no way that Ganglie could have known all that, and he merely paid attention to his own race. “Keep it steady, guy, they’re trying to squeeze you between themselves,” Zhe’s own spotter reported.

“I can see that!” Zhe responded.

“White flag! One more to go!” his spotter informed him.

“”I need more power, man! I’m right on the edge and they’re still keeping up with me!”

"That's all we got, man! But keep at it! One of them's bound to slip up before the checkered!"

"So you tell me, so you tell me," Zhe muttered.

The two SSS cars continued to run and rub alongside the #42 Luxur in Mykopi colors (Zhe was running his alternative scheme once again because selling and advertising marijuana was illegal in Krbustan) for the rest of the lap. As they approached the final turn, Zhe was actually beginning to lose hope that he was going to be able to beat these cars, these drivers, to the checkered flag. And he wouldn't even blame them. Both Calhoun and Patterson already had proven racing pedigrees (Daryl was the reigning Everlong champion and Lexi had been running in the Multiversal series for a long time before signing with SSS), while Ganglie only got into the sport by virtue of his connections with someone else. In any other circumstance, Zhe wouldn't even come this close to fighting for the lead, let alone the actual race win. But these were special circumstances, and against all odds, Ganglie managed to find the one last burst of speed that he needed to get away from both Calhoun and Patterson, and he beat them to the checkered flag by a nose and a bit.

"Congratulations, pal! That's your first ever race win!" Zhe's crew chief congratulated. "And that's both UrGa cars now in the Chase for this season. Good job, fella!"

"Yes! Yes! I can't believe it! It's actually happened! It's actually true!" Zhe cried out over the radio. "Who'd have thought this former spotter would be winning a race just three years after I first got into this sport?"

"Hang on, Lie, I got the boss man on the line," the crew chief said. In this case, the boss man was not anybody actually working for or affiliated with Urotovsky-Gatutin but the man in charge of the team that Zhe was actually racing for, RouBax Racing.

"How's my new race winner doing, huh?" asked the one and only Leonidas Baxter.

"Amazing, Leo, sir," Zhe replied. "I think I'm still in shock, sir! I still can't believe I actually won a race!"

"Well, you better believe it, Lie! I'm joining you in victory lane so I can watch you lift that trophy yourself!"

Suzgar Thrills, Comes up Short in the Garden

Image

Holly's True Delights 500, The Garden of Radiance, 12 km South-East of Reykjavík, Iceland, Victoriaans Nederlands, Valentine Z, Garden at 6th Mile Road :: After an underwhelming kick off to the 12th NSSCRA Season, Vilita and Turori Motorsports finally had the speed that many expected them to have when the circuit got to the Garden of Radiance with two Vilita and Turori Motorsports drivers qualifying inside the Top 10. That speed would also carry over onto race day particularly in the #14 of River 'Shark' Suzgar II. After qualifying in 6th position, 'The Shark' quickly established themselves as one of the fastest cars on the track and would lead for long stretches of the race - though always under tight watch from drivers including pole sitter Rinzi Aogar Zahilwal of the Sherpa Empire who was never far behind - or ahead - as the situation may have called. Suzgar's team did have one issue on a pit stop midway throug the race that set the #14 Dart back deeper into the field but with the way the car was handling it wouldn't be long before Suzgar would find themselves back to the front. As the race came to the conclusion Suzgar was in the thick of the battle and leading late on until a yellow flag was displayed for an incident involving Wilma von Cärinthen. As the #98 headed back to the garage area, the field reset for the final shootout and Suzgar was jostled aside, ultimately beaten to the flag by Jaguar Racing driver Alfonso Mercado and pole sitter Zakhilwal by the narrowest of margins.

Despite missing out on the victory it was an important race weekend to restore some confidence and optimism within the Vilita and Turori Motorsports camp. With the third place finish, River 'Shark' Suzgar II has moved into the Top 16 of the NSSCRA point standings despite remaining a full race worth of points behind current standings leader and Garden at 6th Mile Road race winner Alfonso Mercado. Vilita and Turori Motorsports other two cars, the #41 of Yraaga Gilli'i and #4 of Islago Tizilna finished 14th and 15th respectively in the Holly's True Delights 500 and now find themselves 19th and 21st in the overall season standings having now bypassed former teammate #2 Centur Tiones who left Vilita and Turori Motorsports at the end of NSSCRA Season 11 to become the lead driver at Team Tropicorp. Tiones is currently lowest in the standings among Team Tropicorp drivers in 23rd. The NSSCRA will now head to the Qzvarkian Qaz for a double header with both the Multiversal Cup Series and Everlong Contenders Series taking part.

As for the Everlong Contenders series drivers, it was also a strong showing for the three Novorali Enterprises prepared Vilita and Turori Motorsports affiliated entries. After a slow start to the season Turakki Mayelli tackled the Krbustan Road Course with great ease and sailed to a comfortable Top 5 finish, the first of the season for the #41 Visit Turoki Island sponsored Dart. Teammates Rockii Ezis and Lotara Novorali also had a strong day finishing 11th and 12th respectively. Like in the Multiversal Cup Series, the Vilita and Turori Motorsport contingent have not been able to collect a large amount of points in the opening races and only Lotara Novorali (14th) finds herself inside the projected playoff zone at this time. However, it is widely believed that as the schedule continues it will play into the team strengths as well as to their preparedness with an increasing number of tracks they have raced on previously at the latter part of the schedule as they look to re-gain momentum and challenge for a first Contenders Series Title.

Pegasii, Ogden Star in AOCAR Lopinka Openers

Image
Lopinka National Speedway, Lopinka, Vilita :: For the second consecutive season the AOCAR Stock Car Series opened their season at the Lopinka National Speedway in Vilita though it was a very different atmosphere as Season 2 kicked off than it was one season prior. The Dart Dash, an event that was originally created as a way to test the legitimacy of the restored racing surface at the Lopinka National Speedway prior to committing to run a 150+ lap race at the facility returned once again not as a test event but as a shakedown for the drivers and teams to get ready for the new season. By the team the checkered flag fell it was clear that there were at least two teams well prepared for the season: Vilaye EnergySport and Gale Force Motorsports AOCAR. Though it was the reigning Dart Dash champion Yasir Nasri who led the field to the green in Oontaz was quickly tracked down by Gale Force's Gavin Ogden and Vilaye EnergySport's Jama'obo Pegasii with support from their teammates Glen Reid and Kizara Mo'aaki. Along with the Team Tropicorp duo of Anavella Ariiki and Cocoabo #78 this group made up the lead pack for much of the race. Nasri was left to fight for themselves when Benedicto Baluarte dropped out of the race and that gave the advantage to Ogden and Pegasii, with Gavin Ogden eventually taking over and holding onto the top spot until the Checkered Flag.

It would be a very similar story on the big day for the Lopinka National 303 and once again Yasir Nasri would lead the field to the green flag. The Lopinka 303 would be slowed numerous times for on track incidents which took out a number of drivers including Turorian Juracai Klianiota returning for a second season of AOCAR competition, and one of the pre-season title favorites. With the absence of the Katana Racing by KISMO team that provided AOCAR Season 1 Champion driver Kyoko Fujisaki, it left Ogden and Klianiota, 2nd and 3rd in the inaugural season point standings, as favorites to lift the title. With Klianiota behind the wall it was Ogden who shined leading the most laps and picking up right where they had left off from the Dart Dash. However, when it came time for the finish the veteran journeyman Jama'obo Pegasii pounced at the right time to take home one of the most prestigious race victories of their career to date.

A Thrilling finish to the @AOCAR season opener as @Pegasii37 gets back at GFR's Ogden to take the checkered flag in the #Lopinka303

Season Preview: #98 Jixaka Motorai

Holly's True Delights 500, The Garden of Radiance, 12 km South-East of Reykjavík, Iceland, Victoriaans Nederlands, Valentine Z, Garden at 6th Mile Road :: With the celebrations over following Team Tropicorp's first team win of the season during the Everlong Contenders Series event at the Memorial Speedway in the National Sports Complex in Kharao, it was time to get back to action with the two circuits continuing on their separate ways. Jixaka Motorai and the Team Tropicorp Everlong Series contingent would be heading Road Racing in Krbustan at the Arbea International Circuit while the Multiversal Cup Series would be running in the Gardens of Radiance in the Garden at 6th Mile Road. Jixaka Motorai would have another strong run in the #98 @CocoaboPark / twii.tur Dart for Team Tropicorp in the Everlong Contenders Series taking home her second Top 5 Finish in a row coming home in 5th place. The result would allow Motorai to move into 4th position in the Contenders Series Standings as she chased Alice Jepkosgei of TJUN-ia for the regular season points lead. For the third time this season it was a driver from Abanhfleft taking the checkers in the NSSCRA's Tier 2 series leaving Motorai the only non-Fleftic supported driver to taste victory this season. Motorai's teammate Cocoabo #37 would also have a strong run in 10th place though it was struggles all around for Bryan Harrison in the #5 who failed to finish after an off track excursion midway through the event.

While it was a good day for the team in Kharao the same could not be said in the Multiversal Cup Series event in the Garden at 6th Mile Road. For the first time this season Team Tropicorp really appeared to miss the setup on the day and none of the Team Tropicorp drivers were ever in contention throughout the course of the day. After having built a strong foundation over the seasons first three events none of Team Tropicorp's cars could crack the Top 20 in the Holly's True Delights 500 - though if it was any consolation they spent much of the event battling with Holly Aurora Lapia Starlight who, in her own event, also was unable to keep pace with the fastest cars on the track.

It was an exceptionally painful day for Team Tropicorp's Jenna Logan who was piloting the Blue and Orange Dagan Airways / Tropicorp #3 for the first time on the season. Logan was caught speeding on pit road on two separate occasions including once under green flag. Trying to perfect the entry to serve the pass through penalty and not go a lap down, Logan cut it too close and ran over the cone marking the pit entry commitment and the cone wedged itself underneath the #3 Dart. Logan had to make another lap but the Cone would not dislodge itself forcing Logan to make a third pitstop, finally getting the cone removed and back on the track. There was no way to recover and Logan would finish the race in 37th position. Despite the poor showing in the Garden at 6th Mile Road, there was some good news for Logan and the #3 team as it appeared rumored they may be picking up additional sponsorship from Dagan eatery SubHouse as the Multiversal Cup Series heads down into Dagan territory in the region of Rushmore for the race weekend in the Qzvarkian Qaz. In an event expected to see many Dagan fans in the stands it is rumored that their may be even more changes to the car on race day. With the #28 Dart equipment having survived in good shape, Team Tropicorp plan to apply for the open charter in Qazvarkian Qaz for Cocoabo #28 in the twii.tur Dart, which, if granted, would free up Jenn Logan to be free of the twii.tur branding and run a scheme filled with Dagan sponsors such as Dagan Airways and Subhouse for the next race with a traditional flair of Dagan pink highlighting the design.

Valentine Z wrote:As she walked around and looked at the navigational posts and signs, Clarissa took only a few seconds to make her way around Jean Lannes' lounge. "French guys," she thought to herself, "Well, good thing I am quite fluent in it!" referencing the fact that she came pre-loaded with French and Japanese as her secondary languages. She does have thousands of other languages (both from Valentine Z's Earth, as well as from other worlds), but for the most parts, Clarissa has always been comfortable with English and French, as well as Japanese now and then. With an envelope in one hand, she knocked on the door of the lounge of The French Army, to which she then spoke in a very perfected and not-machine-translated French, "Hello to you, my friends! Hmm, is Monsieur Jean around? I would like to apologise him wholeheartedly for the accident that I caused today, along with the monetary compensation that I would like to offer as a form of an apology. I know money isn't exactly the most kindly-looked at, seeing how it's like a bribe, but I can assure you all – I mean this wholeheartedly without strings attached. NSD 400,000."

Jean Lannes was puzzled by Clarissa's apology, but $400,000 was $400,000. Maintaining an army was expensive and none of the French officers knew when they would be able to return to France. They could use the money.

Lannes had been a little shaken up, but he was not injured, and he did not expect anyone to apologize. Qiang and Massena had not apologized when they were the ones knocking him around. "That's very kind of you," he said to Clarissa. "Thank you very much for the money, and rest assured, there are no hard feelings of any kind." He gave her a friendly smile. If she had been an ordinary human woman, he probably would have asked her to dinner, but he was not sure if she liked to eat the same things the French did.

When the French NSSCRA teams heard that the Garden of Radiance was in another dimension, and they heard familiar place names like Reykjavik and Nederlands, they briefly hoped it might be in their home world -- but as soon as they got their first glimpse of the place, they knew it was not their world. Their home had never been so clean and luxurious, and they had never seen such tall majestic-looking people. They speculated among themselves about how the Valentians grew so tall. They could not make up their minds whether it was just a result of the excellent living conditions and rich diet, or if the Valentians were something other than human.

Lannes was so impressed by the bathroom at his lodging in Valentine Z, he finally took a bath for once. The drivers' meeting in Iceland was the best-smelling drivers' meeting so far this year.

That probably wasn't what Derrick Carlisle meant when he wrote about "clean" racing, but there may have been some people in the NSSCRA garage who intentionally misinterpreted it that way.

While most people watching Holly's dance and light show were captivated by her beauty, Andre Massena had something else in mind. If she could move that fast, and if she could give people frostbite just by touching them, think what she could do on a battlefield... He didn't fully understand her powers, but he had seen enough to start the mental wheels turning. In his mind's eye, he pictured her darting across the battlefields of Europe, freezing the Austrians into wretched human icicles. He didn't think too hard about the human cost. The violence of the French Revolution, the Terror, and the Napoleonic Wars had left him jaded and insensitive.

He didn't have time to talk to Holly right away because the race was starting soon after her show ended, and he needed to get into his car. It was probably a good idea to think about what he wanted to say anyway. He didn't want to piss her off and get turned into an ice cube.

He decided he needed to get a feel for Holly's political views. Pretty tricks and frosty magic were all well and good, but Holly's powers would not be any use to the French if she was politically opposed to Napoleon. After the race when some of the teams had started packing up their stuff, Massena went over to Holly's hauler to introduce himself and try striking up a conversation. He brought an English-speaking translator in case Holly did not know French. He knew Holly was shy, so he would need to approach her gently and put her at ease a bit. He also had to remind himself not to try any physical displays of affection like kissing her hand or putting his arm around her. After exchanging greetings and bowing respectfully, Massena explained, "I was very impressed with your show before the race, but I know almost nothing about you. Do you think we could go for a stroll and you could tell me a little about yourself? Perhaps you could show me more of this garden you've created around the track?"

Postby Garden at 6th Mile Road » Wed Mar 09, 2022 10:08 am

The Gardeners – Race 4 – Multiversal: Holly's True Delights 500, The Garden of Radiance, 12 km South-East of Reykjavík, Iceland, Victoriaans Nederlands, Valentine Z, Garden at 6th Mile Road (Speedway); Everlong: Krbustan Automotive 125, Arbea International Circuit, Krbustan (Road Course)

Today was a special and fantastic day for me! With the Valentians on my side, and with every single things being prepared and everyone looking at me through a thousand cameras and millions of pairs of eyes, I was more than prepared to do my short little performance and of course, the race itself. "Please welcomeeeee, Holly Aceline “De Stralend en Wonderbaarlijk Licht Koningin Van Haar Mooie Universum” Aurora Symantha Vreugde Astrid Lavender Lexis Lilac Harmony Tsi. Marlie Nova Radiant Lapia Starlight!" Clarissa said excitingly on the loudspeakers, and out I go as the platform moved upwards and very soon I was facing a lot of these folks! Well, this would be the time when I would be very, very shocked and perhaps simply fly away at several times the speed of light. Crowds are scary! People sometimes can be a little scary, you know? However, I have changed for the better! I have a lot more confidence in these folks, and with the Valentians having a lot of trust on me, I would have to run this event. No, I want to run this event! I am often a little aloof when it comes to showing others about my world, lest they enslaved me and got drunk on all the energy inside me and in the world. The NSSCRA folks, and those in sports, however – there is something incredibly pure about them. Something wonderful, not driven by greed (for the most parts), and they were simply there to have fun and do their sports, not particularly that interested in politics and attacking other nations. I mean yes, a few other nations do, but even then it's not that chaotic and catastrophic. And they do follow a lot of codes and conducts! Anyway, my monologue aside, I then did my usual performance, one that has been modified from the days of earlier NSSCRA seasons whereby I did the same thing under the water fountain. For this time, there are no water fountains! The ballerina dance, moving around without mighty forces of the Earth being able to hold me around. It feels fantastic every time I do it, and I will never get tired of it, hm hm! Ah, that's that.

As for the race itself, well, I certainly didn't get the home advantage, which was a bit of a shame! The Valentians have told me that there is always a chance that I might get a better finish. After all, this is my race course, and I am the one who is the most familiar with it. I even set my own record, after all! This also means that there are a lot of people out there who are more than capable of doing what I do. In other words, while I may have set the record, it is still possible for everyone else to do better than me when it comes to racing with other cars around. Plus, I got a little distracted this time, still giddy from the performance I have done and shown to the people around me. I sure do hope they like it! Going back to the race, a person by the name of Alfonso Mercado finished 1st on this track! I have heard of him a little bit here and there, even going as far as to reading about his bio. He too had a bit of problem with that Flectic man, but I am definitely not going into details for this one. Whatever business is theirs, and I don't think I should get involved in it, for goodness knows I might make it worse, or they will push me onto that person.

Anyway, with Alfonso winning the race and holding the trophy up high, I safely parked the car and got out of it as fast as I could, followed by flying towards the podium. It can be a bit difficult to run the entire event like this, but I suppose I will get used to it! If worse comes to worst, then I will simply conjure up a few clones of my own, just like I did for those nice people in Sherpa. He held the trophy up high, clearly very happy and exuberant. I think I even saw a single tear of joy coming down his right eye, but then again, that could simply be sweat or water, I am not going to judge someone like that! As he stepped down from the podium, I bowed down while he did the same, then I offered a handshake to him. "Congratulations, my friend!" I said, also being happy for the man, "You have won on Holly's Delights, hosted by me, and set in the wonderful world of Valentine Z! On top of the usual trophy and all of the points, I too would like to present to you with a gift of my own!" What do I have in mind for him? I didn't think of it as much at first until at the very end when I was at the podium. Luckily for me, I was able to conjure it up right there and then. It came in a somewhat large box, though something that Alfonso should be able to carry back to the lounge and to home, though that's provided they knew what it is. For winning at Holly's Delights, I got him the gift of eating! It's not targeted at him, or at anyone else; I simply thought that they as persons and humans would appreciate not having to cook a meal sometime. It's a dark blue magical box, weighing around 20 kg. It has a panel on one of its sides, and with the simple flick of a switch, the user can then choose from a large variety of foods available! I have been looking through the recipes and cookbooks of the humans for many years, and this was the fantastic result that I got! While the magic is all mine, the screen and the electronics were done by Clarissa and the rest of the Valentians. "Think of it like one of those microwaves you have at home, except that you don't need to put food inside! Simply choose from the screen, wait 4 minutes, and out pops the food! Isn't that amazing for you and your friends and your family? Good for dispensing 40,000 meals before it disintegrates harmlessly on itself!"

-----

And that was with Alfonso, to whom I can trust a little. Not as much as the Valentians, but considering the magical gifts I have given to all of these people, I would say they are at least a little closer to me now. Maybe closer than those guys that present themselves as The French Army. Right after the gift ceremony along with the outro and me wishing everyone all the best, people were starting to pack up to move to the next destination. Then came along this man – A relatively charming man, dressed like what one would expect coming from that era. Very fancy, too! In fact, all of them are fancy, if a little intimidating due to the way they are dressed in army fatigues. For Valentians, think of Valentijn wearing her army outfit all the time. It looks nice on her, that I won't deny. However, there were moments when you still have to present yourself in something else other than military gear and wear. Hmm, ah well.

Going back, I think that was Andre Massena who approached me after the ceremony, with a translator in tow. I don't mind a bit of French, but I will admit that I have always defaulted to English. Perhaps a different way on how I write languages, but still. "I was very impressed with your show before the race, but I know almost nothing about you. Do you think we could go for a stroll and you could tell me a little about yourself? Perhaps you could show me more of this garden you've created around the track?" Hmm, very well, I thought to myself. See, that is why I am very shy and reserved, and truth be told, I have a bit of a bad feeling already. He seems a little too interested about myself. Ahh, maybe I am just overly worried again, from the days of old, from eternities ago. Maybe it was because of the army uniform, but even an army personnel would show interest in someone as unusual as me. Besides, he simply wanted to know more about me and my… garden. I can perhaps only tell him the basics, and will hold back a little. If it was someone like Rinzi or Kai Qiang, I would not have any problems. For Massena, I am keeping guard.

"Hello there! Well, of course!" I started off, introducing myself by saying my full name and a little bit about myself. I made sure to tell him about who or what I exactly am, while leaving intricate details like the exact coordinates of my garden. I am hoping they won't push me that far, but you will never know. Anyway, I told him quite a handful of it as I closed the tracks and made sure that no cars are going to run us- them over. I told him about the garden, details like how they are made out of cold lights, and how everything was something that I could fully control, demonstrating by uprooting one of the light-based trees and then absorbing it back into my body. Maybe I should not have shown them that, but I reckoned it would not be that harmful. At least, not for now. "Most of the things around here are adjusted just so that you guys can breathe and all of that. Often times, it's very, very cold. Like, colder than cold, as you people might say." The tour around the track, at those walking speeds, lasted for half an hour. I cut through the road course here and there, and I can tell those two are getting a bit tired, at least from their faces. I cut it short and told them that was that. As much as I don't mind sharing about my world and myself to those around me, these guys are someone I need to take a mental note of. After all, I have just met them, they don't know me.

I always have this feeling with new people I meet, but this time, it might be a little grounded. I fear that they might have something else in their mind.

"Awww.... look at those two together."

The Holly's True Delights 500 in Reykjavik is one of, if not the coldest race in the Multiversal Cup Series schedule. Not enough to turn people into frozen statues like the race's namesake's touch can, but definitely enough to cause Jeremiah Brooke and Stacie Houston to cuddle more than they usually did. Thea Alvarez caught them at one such moment, noting one of the perks of being in a relationship with a fellow driver, before herself feeling a sudden burst of warmth. No, new teammate Ilya Tsunopin did not give her an embrace, but he did offer the heavy coat that he'd frequently been wearing whenever he wasn't on track.

"Thank you Ilya, but you really didn't have to."

"No, no, I insist. You looked like you could use it."

"But what about yourself? Won't you be cold?"

"I'll be fine. As long as you are, I'll be."

Truth be told, Thea is warming up (heh) to Gale Force Racing's new R&D driver. To some, the 69Xer seemed nothing more than the carefree, pleasure-seeking playboy type, but as a colleague she knows that there's more to him than that. He's determined, hardworking, caring.... wait, what kind of feeling is this?

"Tell them for me, okay?"

"W-wha?!" Thea had completely zoned out and missed everything that Ilya had been telling her for the past minute. so she asked him to repeat.

"I said, I'll need to fly back to St. Kanye after this race because I have some business with my sponsor to take care of. It's gonna take a week, so I won't be there at Qzvarkian Qaz. Please tell Stacie and Jeremiah for me."

"No problem."

On to the race. Thea started 17th, far away from the Stacemiah pair, who immediately battled for the early lead after occupying the front row. It was a rather slow process, but she would get to the front eventually and spend some time in the lead. The last couple dozen of laps saw the GFR trio all run together in the top twenty after a position shuffle; they would all work together and gain several spots in the end. Jeremiah, Stacie and Thea took the tenth to twelfth positions, in that order, finishing between the Tsering Chu/Kai Qiang couple, ahead of the VilTur duo of Yraaga Gilli'i and Islago Tizilna, and behind the Valentian pair of Gwen Oxton and Anastasia Aye.

Image

The Holly's 500 was comparatively tamer than the chaos that had been the Race of Oceania, with only two retirements to last week's fourteen. Despite that, the race was by no means boring, as Alfonso Mercado pulled off what he fell short of doing at home and took the dub in incredible fashion. He edged Rinzi Aogar Zakhilwal by 0.003 second and River Suzgar by 0.004; the GFR trio wasted no time in congratulating the young Jag on his first career victory. "If you take a look at the standings thus far, it seems a bunch of the newer drivers could have a breakout season," Jeremiah told reporters. "You love to see it. However that also means that we, the veterans, would need to step up."

"Ooh, someone got flowers."

"Ooh, someone likes Thea."

"Would you two stop?!" Thea looked at both Jeremiah and Stacie with an annoyed expression as she clutched the bouquet of flowers that Ilya had sent her from St. Kanye. "Ilya and I are just friends, okay? Really good ones. That's all there is to these."

"For now, maybe," said Jeremiah. "You never know - you and I were 'just friends' too, weren't we, Stace?" He made quotation marks with his fingers.

"Oh yeah, I remember that," was Stacie's response. "Good times. But not as good as today, obviously."

"Hold up - Ilya said he wanted #45 to get close to his idol #44 [Qiang], right? What if the real reason was to get close to #46?"

"Why not both, though?"

"Shut up!"

"You know, Thea, you should totally get Ilya something in return. Maybe a stuffed Cocoabo? It would be great for Cocoabo #46 to have a new friend."

"A couple of birds? Like, lovebirds?"

"Never thought of that. Good one, Stace."

"Ugh!" Thea walked out of the garage. Her teammates were good people, but their teasing could sometimes get to her. Especially Jeremiah, who was an only child. and thus treated Thea like the little sister he never had.

Fortunately she had other people to vent to. "Ash, what do I do?" she asked her other hauler neighbor, explaining her current situation.

If the Qariq 175 was anything to go by, the Holly's 500 was just a temporary calm in between two huge storms. Seven drivers failed to finish the Everlong Series race at Pryzsenko Autodrome, including two Kannapian entries and all three from Kharao. The Skip Stiller Speedworks trio had a mixed bag of results: Daryl Calhoun wasted a great start at the pole, finishing just 21st and still far from the Chase cut line. Pyotr Lavrentiev helped his own playoff campaign with a tenth place result, while Lexi Patterson did an Alfonso Mercado, rebounding from a runner-up finish in the previous race by taking home the win in this one.

Patterson leading, a pack of Darts at her heels. Motorai overtakes Mayelli, now working on the Cocoabo. Dragonovic tries to make a pass on Patterson, Patterson throws the block, Cocoabo closing the gap..... and here they come to the line. Dragonovic on the outside, Patterson on the inside, who's it gonna be? ..... And it's Patterson! Lexi Patterson wins the Qariq 175, her first in the Everlong Series!

Now Lexi's in the Chase, and she has her eyes set on the championship. Being a journeyman driver, she'll need all the support she can get from the fans from the three countries she's raced in so far - Hampton Island, where she learned her craft; Jebslund, where she developed it further; and St. Kanye, where she was able to feel what she had sorely been missing for almost three seasons now - the joy that only winning a race can bring.

Welcome to Pryzsenko

The Pryzsenko track near the capital of Qariq is a notorious track. While Auto Racing is a fairly popular sport in the recently emerging post-communist world of Qzvarkian Qaz, there are many questions to be had about this tracks inclusion. The track is built on an old military base in Pryzsenko. A simple triangle formation made from the support roads around an old airfield. Simple track no? It should be but when you ask anyone in the paddock of any one race in Qzvarkian Qaz, you won't hear anything good about Pryzsenko.

Many tracks in Qzvarkian Qaz are notorious for a lack of barriers around the track. Nothing bad as most even, Pryzsenko are located in large grass field. But again, no one likes this track.

There are no trees near the circuit like some of the tracks cut out from public streets or tank testing facilities like a couple of tracks in Qzvarkian Qaz have been. but again no one likes Pyrzsenko.

Why is Pyrzsenko so hated?

You ever drive down the road after a storm? You ever have to doge potholes a person could fit themselves into? you ever just straight mess up your car? Well thats why people hate Pryzsenko. Heavy rains in and around the Qariq area have been known to mess with the track and races have frequently been run around this time of the year with metaphorical bomb craters in the middle of the track. So not only do you get an NSSCRA race here, but both the Xannerian and QQZ Domestic leagues will run a race here.

Oh and if the potholes don't get you, there's always the chicane before turn one. It's a mess, with tires buries into the dirt, you make a mistake here and you could be easily saying good bye to your suspension.

All in All, this is a tough race at a track no one wanted to races at. So how did it get on the schedule?

Well it's because of the most popular hobby in Qzvarkian Qaz that this race happened. That hobby is of course rampant corruption and bribing!

Well...last week was certainly interesting, wasn't it? Welcome to Qzvarkian Qaz, where both T1 and T2 converge to try and figure out what in god's name happened last weekend. Tier 2 had a driver go from last to first, while Tier 1 had a driver finally break the duck and get himself in Winner's Circle for the very first time. How do you even top that? Well, that was the job of both the NationalAirways.qqz Stock Car Grand Priz of Qariq and the Qariq 175 to try and attempt - so let's see how good they did, huh?

Let's begin with Multiversal Cup Series Qualifying and our drivers certainly did alright today. Maddison Riley-Jones (@MaddyRJ03) was now hungry for her first win now and MIchael Stefan (@Stefan07) certainly didn't want to let his boyfriend be in the Chase all by himself for too long...they will start 13th and 14th respectively, sharing Row 7. As for Alfonso Mercado (@AM64) himself, being the first JR in the Chase was certainly a new feeling for him...as was using his new 40,000 meal creation device the wonderful Holly Aurora Lapia Starlight gave him as a gift for winning her race. Still, he had a job to do and will start his first race as a Chaser in 19th, not that far off Holly in 16th.

Kai Qiang took pole over Thea Alvarez and Centur Tiones with Ricky Lee (26th) beat to the top non-charter spot by...20th-placed Andre Massena? Who's ahead of the Shark?! Sacre Bleu! Jean Lannes (27th), Anna Star Joy Thanda Pwint Thinzar Nwe (34th) and Aurélia Karvonen (37th) all qualified normally, with Timo Szaba using the open charter slot to make it in for tomorrow in 38th. What about Lam Chow-Cheung? Well, they did really well by getting up to 30th for tomorrow, their best position in Qualy by far and beating some big names like Jeremiah Brooke (33rd), Liangmei Li (36th), Taylor Henderson (42nd) and Rinzi Aogar Zakhilwal (46th).

Meanwhile, in Tier 2, things were certainly alright for our JRT2 gang. Seven drivers would fail to make the end of a chaotic race which saw Alice Jepkosgei (@AJ96) lose the overall points lead in 19th, Gongming Gao (@GG70) put in a consistent performance to take 6th and Robin Dragonovic (@RD97SNL) battle it out for JR's first T2 win of the season. He would beat out Cocoabo #37 to 2nd but was pipped to the flag by Lexi Patterson - formerly of Hampton Island and Jebslund, now racing for SSS in Saint Kanye. To be fair, her winning a race this season was seen as more of an eventuality than Ilmari Pëkannen beating Kaarina Salo - which he did again, him in 12th and her in 16th.

After the chaos of last week in the Icelandic gardens, what will Pryzenko bring tomorrow? Let's wait and see, as always...but we do hope we can claim that 600 MILLION NSD prize pot Valkyrie Valentijn Samantha Constantine is going to give out to the team that gets all three of their drivers on the podium at the same race. Unlikely? Certainly. Impossible? Certainly not!

Everything was going so fine... Lam Chow-Cheung's time in Qzvarkian Qaz was actually going...alright. Marx was happy with everything, T2 was just getting better and better, Karvonen was now becoming a consistent qualifier and...even Lam themselves was doing a good job in that #38 car. They were leaving that crash behind them and by Qualifying in 30th, had set themselves up for a potentially competitive race tomorrow - and the 18-year-old could certainly feel his fortunes changing. Things were looking up for the masked-up enby.

That is until they saw the flowers. Flowers Thea Alvarez had in her hand. Flowers that looked...pretty. Flowers that sent a message, a message of...feeling.

Now usually, a bouquet would be the least of LCC's concerns...but these flowers got to them for no reason at all. They would spend the T2 race with those damned flowers within the mind, haunting them like spirits throughout that race's running and even throughout the final HM meeting before shuteye. Marx, bless him, could sense something was wrong and tried to ask them before they left, but Lam just said they were "focused on tomorrow" and left it at that.

It was only alone in their quarters, mask off and thoughts open, that they could comprehend everything inside their mind. One of the angels in the dream had found their calling...and it was the one in purple that tried to save them from the darkness. Of course, they would be happy for them, but Lam was feeling a new feeling inside of them. It wasn't too far off the envy they felt for people who wore no mask, for people who weren't a disgrace in the eyes of those who raised them, for people who could actually live their damned lives without being called a freak. No, this was...jealousy. They were jealous that someone had found a potential soulmate and not them. It was something that Lam held in their wildest dreams, finding someone who actually cared about them and didn't think they were a monster just because of them not conforming to a gender. But as the tears came just in time for a fall into sleep, Lam thought about that question again...a question their father told them when they came out long ago, a question that still haunts them to this very day.

THE ROCKET REPORT

A CHAT WITH CHELSEA TAYLOR

By Taylor Larson,

RR: I am here this afternoon with Chelsea Taylor, the driver of the #24 SubHouse Rocket. Chelsea, thank you for your time.

Chelsea: Thank you for having me.

RR: We are a few races into the season now, and up to this point, you have not had a lot of success. How has the adjustment been for you?

Chelsea: I don’t think there has been a problem with the adjustment. I felt ready to race, and have felt good with the people that are working with me. They seem to know what I want in a race car, they just haven’t been able to give it to me as of yet.

RR: For those who might not know much about Rocket Motorsports, that might seem to be a harsh comment. But it is the common sentiment with the team.

Chelsea: We have to find a way here to get our cars to run better. You look in the EverLong, and Ryan Carroll is 11th in points and Dwight Webster is 12th. There are a few drivers behind them who you expect to come up eventually, but I like the way they are running. We’re getting here, as a team, but we need to get that translated into the Multiversal series. The drivers here are obviously much better, and that goes into it, a lot too. Look at Lexi Patterson. Didn’t do much of anything last year, but goes into the EverLong and wins a race and leads the points. She’s driving for a better team, but still, there is a big difference between the two series.

RR: You come from Cassadaigua, so what is it that you are seeing that Rocket Motorsports is missing, that Team Cassadaigua had?

Chelsea: We have the drivers here. Li almost won a championship. The fact that she is not running at that level shows that there is a big difference in the cars from each nation. Ashley Matthews races hard, and is a great team player. We need to improve the cars. Also, we average slower pit stops than Team Cassadaigua did. That needs to improve. I don’t want to say the drivers are off the hook, either. Because we are obviously not giving our teams the right information to be more competitive out there.

RR: What went into the decision to come here from Cassadaigua?

Chelsea: The fact that Rocket Motorsports were the only team to offer me a ride. Look, I didn’t race at this level last year and that was pretty difficult for me. I want to, and need to be, out there in a race car. People forgot who I was when I put my name out there, but now I am here to try and prove that I can be a star at this level.

RR: Are you following the Rookie of the Year battle at all? Do you think you can win?

Chelsea: Yes, I am definitely following it and I want to win it. I think we will need to improve our cars in order for me to win it, but there is always a chance.

RR: You are the only driver who has a hauler parked between Jeremiah Brooke and Stacie Houston. What is that like?

Chelsea: Stacie is my idol, so it rocks. I am between what I consider the best two drivers in modern NSSCRA history, how could I not love it?

RR: Leaving out Kai Qiang, or the Shark?

Chelsea: The Shark is great. I like him alot, actually. Li has told me some things about Kai Qiang, so I have to put him below Stacemiah. I mean of course I don’t to forget the Haps, or Jaguar Racing, or the Valentinans, but the 18 and 27 have more races under their belts then them, and are champions.

RR: That’s going to wrap this up for now. Thank you, and good luck Chelsea.

Chelsea: Thank you.

Qualifying at Pryzsenko Autodrome: Rinzi Zakhilwal was accelerating down the back straight when he heard something go WOMP and felt something give way under his car. "God damn!" he said, as he scrambled to keep the car out of the grass. "Dammit, dammit, dammit!" He winced as he realized he was not going to be able to stop the car from going off the track, and soon his wheels were tearing up the turf, splattering grass and mud this way and that. He pulled back onto the pavement and drove the car around to finish the lap, but the damage was already done. He was going to be starting at the back of the field and his crew would need to check the car over for damage and most likely replace some parts.

Kai Qiang's qualifying went much better. Rinzi would not have beaten him out for the pole even if he hadn't hit a pothole and ran off the track. Qiang found himself sharing the front row with Thea Alvarez, and asking her if she wanted to work together. He thought Thea's brand of "girl power" was obnoxious, but that was no reason why they couldn't work together on the track when it was in both their best interests.

Qiang went back to the garage after qualifying and found to his dismay that Mendok was tinkering with her ventilator again. "Argh, Mendok, what did I tell you about using my tools?" he said. "You're supposed to be watching the kids. Kami, don't play with that!" He snatched a hose out of Kami's hands and put it back where it belonged. Qiang was about to yell at Mendok and really let her have it, but out of the corner he noticed Sima looking up at them with sweet wondering eyes. He didn't want to upset her by yelling, so he took a deep breath, and explained to Mendok as calmly as he could that she was not allowed to come in the garage and borrow his tools.

He also went around to all the men on his crew and told them not to let Mendok in next time.

"Remind me again why you married her?" one of the crewmen quipped sarcastically.

And now, some news from Hapilopper. (Primarily because I’m sick and I can’t figure out how to advance any storylines right now)

HAP CITY RACEWAY TO UNDERGO MAJOR FACELIFT
By Darius Buford and Patty Roberts, the Hapilopper Television Network

HAPILOPPER CITY – The old Hapilopper City Raceway, the one-mile oval on the grounds of the Hapilopper National Exhibition, will undergo a massive, $600 million renovation after the conclusion of the Super Skychief 500 this year.

The project, called “Exhibition Rising,” will include the construction of new garages, suites and grandstands. The project is expect to take around two years to complete, but officials with the Hapilopper National Exhibition expect enough work will be done before next year’s race to hold a race.

“The only thing that isn’t changing is the track itself,” said Rod Hargrove, executive director of the Hapilopper National Exhibition. “There’s a general consensus among the Hapiloppian motorsport community that this track has become our showcase venue for the sport, and as a result, it is our responsibility to present it to those standards.”

Currently, the Hapilopper City Raceway has 175,000 permanent seats, with another 25,000 temporary seats on the backstraight for the Super Skychief 500. Hargrove said grandstand capacity will approach 250,000 when the Exhibition Rising project is over.

Hargrove said the project was conceived in the immediate aftermath of last year’s Super Skychief 500, when numerous fan complaints were raised concerning the experience at the track, including an unfortunate missile-throwing incident after the race, when a handful of fans threw beer cans at the track after the race.

“Unfortunately, the issues we had went beyond just those fans,” he explained. “Fans were concerned about inadequate restrooms and insufficient concession stands. We received complaints over fans missing large portions of the race because they were in line to get a burger or because they had to use the restroom.”

Hargrove said he understood the complaints, and he hoped the “Exhibition Rising” project would address them.

Since the circuit sits on the Hapilopper National Exhibition grounds, and as a result receives funding from both the Hapilopper City and the Hapilopper federal government, HapEx officials were required to publicly advertise the project, and the project was required to face a public hearing at Tuesday’s Hapilopper City Council meeting.

Many spoke both in favor and against the project at Tuesday’s meeting. Supporters argued about the circuit’s multiversal prestige, while opponents expressed concern over the price tag of the upgrades, and just how much that price could increase.

“$600 million?” asked Hapilopper City resident Mike Darnell. “First of all, I don’t understand this whole idea behind spending our taxpayer funds on something like a race track. But spending $600 million for it? We could build schools or give our teachers a huge pay raise for $600 million, and by the time it’s done, I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s more like $1 billion. I wish I had that kind of money to throw around.”

“There are billions of people that watch the NSSCRA every week on television,” said Marjorie Randle, another Hapilopper City resident. “There are people that come here every year from all sorts of nations, and we need to show the rest of the multiverse that we’re more than capable of building a top-of-the-line facility that can host one of the biggest motor races around. I say pay them what they need.”

The Hapilopper City Raceway is one of several new construction projects that are set to begin on the Hapilopper National Exhibition grounds. The HapEx team annexed land on the east end of the grounds that will be used for a 115,000-seat stadium. That stadium, expected to replace Capital Stadium as Hapilopper’s National Stadium, will reportedly be used by Hapilopper’s national football and baseball teams.

The stadium is a part of what the Hapilopper Football Association calls “Operation Promised Land,” a program designed to construct larger stadiums in all of Hapilopper’s major cities, in an attempt to attract a future football tournament, be it a World Cup, a Cup of Harmony, a Baptism of Fire, or an AOCAF to Hapilopper.

WHO IS TYSON HOYT?
By Darius Buford, the Hapilopper Television Network

HAPILOPPER CITY – At 32 years of age, Tyson Hoyt is concerned that his best days may have passed him by, and that he might have nobody to blame but himself.

Tyson Hoyt

Hoyt, who is in a contract year with Oliver Marlin Racing, made his international racing debut a few weeks ago in the IRACT-sanctioned TMW 400 in the Sherpa Empire. It was an international debut that many thought would have happened years ago, were it not for several factors in play.

For starters, the Marlin team expected to make its NSSCRA four years ago, either with Team Blue or instead of them. The team experienced issues with travel costs, however, and the team dropped their plans to compete in the multiversal series.

In addition, many were concerned over Hoyt’s attitude, something he readily acknowledges.

“I was a jerk,” Hoyt said. “I was a jerk on the track and I was a jerk off the track. I think, more than anything else, a lot of people were afraid of how I would represent Hapilopper on the international stage. It took me a while to realize why, but now I do. I wish that wake-up call would have come differently, though.”

Hoyt stared out into space as he thought about the worst accident of his career, four years ago in Pinkerton, an accident that nearly ended both his career and his life.

Starting on the pole, Hoyt blew a tire on the fifth lap of the 300-lapper that summer, in front of the entire field. He shot right up into the wall, then spun down and was hit in the driver’s side door by a backmarker.

“I don’t remember any of it,” Hoyt said. “Like, I remember waking up that morning. I remember breakfast, and I remember the driver’s meeting, but then the next thing I remember after that was waking up in the hospital, my parents sitting by my side.”

It was that accident that Hoyt said made him take a serious look at life.

“Like, I was angry all the time,” Hoyt said. “I drove angry, I was angry, I was just… mad. I laid there in a hospital bed and wondered if it was worth it to be mad, or if I was just wasting my time.”

Hoyt spent six weeks in a Pinkerton hospital, recovering from a slate of injuries from the accident. He missed the rest of the racing season and a good bit of the next. When he came back, it was clear he had changed and for the better. His reputation of having one of the worst personalities in racing slowly evaporated.

His abilities came back, too. Hoyt won five races last year en route to winning his first Challenge Cup, and he leads the HASCAR points after three races, including a win at the season-opening Westwood 500 in West Hampton. Those performances make him very valuable as his contract with Oliver Marlin Racing expires at the end of the season.

Marlin has expressed a desire to keep Hoyt for next season and beyond. Hoyt, meanwhile, has his eyes set on other things.

“I want to run NSSCRA,” Hoyt said. “I don’t know any other way to put it. I feel like that, if I don’t try my hand now, I’m never going to get another shot at it, and I don’t want to spend my entire career wondering what could have been.”

Hoyt doubts he’ll get a shot with Team Blue. Their driver lineup is most likely booked solid for next season and beyond, with Drake Stevenson, Taylor Henderson and Chris Holmes driving for the three-car team. In addition, Hoyt said he fears that Stevenson still harbors some animosity for him following repeated on-track accidents back in 2018.

“I think Drake has made it very clear that he doesn’t like me and he still doesn’t like me,” Hoyt said. “And I don’t think I can change that. It’s kind of the same thing that’s going on with Kai Qiang and Chris Holmes. It’s a shame, because other than that, that would be my best shot at getting in NSSCRA.”

Hoyt said with HASCAR on an off-week, he will be traveling to Qzvarkian Qaz to attend the NSSCRA race and to make himself available to other teams.

“My goal is to compete in NSSCRA next season,” he said. “Period. There’s no other way around it. Whether that’s with an international team or with a Hapiloppian team, I want in the series, for no other reason than to see how I could do.”
