Good day,

the recipient of this letter is cordially invited by the Cult of Lodan Lir and the City of Cuan

to Seomrasuí House in Cuan to spend the day of the Spring Festival with us. We have food, we have drink, we have entertainment in the form of the competition for the Cuan City Trophy being held within our view – and we have many guests, notabilities from culture, industry and politics, who might be of interest to you.

You will find the travelling details down below.

Hello and welcome to Celebrating Spring in Style, this year's Spring Festival RP!
This year, as you can see above, I have decided to switch the formula up a bit and instead of all of us running around the hosting city (in this case Cuan) like headless chicken, we will have a sort-of informal gathering of high society – the ideal chance to meet the economic and political elites of the country or to hang out with some of their greatest and most renown artists. And, of course, to make the corresponding ties to said elites.
As the backdrop, and as an opportunity for friendly betting, we will have the competition for the Cuan City Trophy, a trophy of horsearchery happening down below – cheering for your favourite competitor is of course allowed. If anyone wants a list of who participates, here you go.
    EDIT: A little something I was made aware of in the process of this OOC (thank you, Seleucid Pergamon) - sadly, your characters won't be able to participate in the competition for the Cuan City Trophy, the Cuan City Youth Trophy and the River's Crossing Trophy (the three main competitions held on the day). Please include something about being a member of the Marcach-Guild, insurances and so on here. However, if wished, the Iascasi Rallye, a mounted orienteering competition, is open.

Sadly, however, we need...
    1. No Godmodding, Meta-Gaming or similar stuff. No exceptions.
      1.1. If you believe, that such an instance, or a breach of any other rule, is occurring, bring it to attention here on this OOC in a calm manner.
      1.2. ALL NPCs are controlled by me, mostly due to cultural particularities. No exceptions.
      1.3. For convenience, I will play all characters from my nations from this account. For those needing a list...
      1.4. Be polite, at least on the OOC.
    2. I am the OP, my word is the law. I reserve the right to add to this list of rules or to amend rules if necessary. I also reserve the right to deny any application.
    3. IC on the IC-thread, OOC on the OOC-thread.
    4. Permitted Characters:
      4.1. This is a high society party hosted by the high society. This is not a diplomatic summit or a royal wedding, so I would prefer, if you would keep the number of Heads of State, Heads of Government and high-ranking ministers low, but I will not make a rule against them. However, if there are too many of them, I will amend this rule.
      4.2. Keep in mind, that your characters are under the right and law of the Free Lands of the Selkie. That includes a ban on all firearms in private hands (and your people will be there as private persons, end of discussion). If I catch anyone posting anything contradicting this rule, his or her character will be mauled to death by Blue Mudskippers. And there will be no escape. No exception.
      4.3. Appearance of your character, a.k.a. Valid Passport Photo. Please choose pictures, that are SFW and where your character is easily identifiable. Anime-Pictures are allowed, but are under the same restrictions. You can also write a description of him or her. And it does not have to be a passport photo. Please use a maximum size of 550 by 550 pixels or hotlink and please do not spoiler.
      4.4. Non-Humans: Non-Human Humanoids are permitted, the rest is not. No magic (and no, I don't care, what you call it). Please also note, that this RP is firmly in the realm of Modern Tech.
        Two exceptions: Shipgirls/Kanmusu/Kansen and Witches of the Strike Witches kind.
      4.5. Original characters only. You can use the pictures of whoever you like (God knows, I do), but the characters themselves need to be your own. No exceptions.
      4.6. One character, one app. No exceptions.
      4.7. If you have a number of characters, do not play them as an amorphous blob. No exceptions.
    5. No murders. Violence only if all involved agree to it. No exceptions.
      5.1. Security will be provided by the Free Lands, if needed by Blue Mudskippers. You do not need bodyguards. No exceptions.
      5.2. Please answer the question “Have you read and understood the rules?” with “I have a Champion, my friends!” No exceptions.
      5.3. Please provide a RP-Sample from the account you are applying with. If you are a member of the region The Strategic and Economic Alliance, you do not have to do so, but for the rest, it's no exception.
    6. No military actions, declarations of war or similar stuff. No exceptions.
    7. Try to avoid oneliners. I know, that it can't be avoided sometimes, but please put a bit of effort into this RP.
    8. If you have questions for me or other players, ask. That's what this OOC is for!
    9. The IC will start on the 20th of March. At that point, all of your characters and so, and so on will already be in Cuan and at Seomrasuí House (amendment 2022-03-20: Preferably already at the VIP-Lounge, but that is not mandatory). We don't need to go through the entire rounds of arrival in the Free Lands and transporting everything and so on and so on. No exceptions, unless your characters are, by the end of the post, at Seomrasuí House.
    10. COVID: COVID is a thing, that exists. Many people in the Free Lands are either vaccinated or recovered, there is already a herd immunity. You characters will either be vaccinated or recovered. They will not bring a new variant. Wearing of face masks is not mandatory. No exceptions.

My policy in regards to puppets is, that your RP-sample must be from the nation you are applying with. Other then that, it would be nice to know, which is who's puppet (though not mandatory) and that you don't puppetwank. If you have characters from multiple accounts, you can, if you want, play them all from one account (as long as you tell me beforehand on this OOC, otherwise it might be confusing for everyone involved ; )).
It's a bit of a paragraph... I would have imagined, that it would be a bit less...

So, two singers and a manager... considering, that many of the Ambassadors of the Selkie (the cultural representatives as opposed to the politcal Ambassadors of the Free Lands) are musicians of various descriptions and that some of them will make an appearance, I am sure, that there is a lot to talk about - and maybe even to jam later! ; )
