NSSCRA 12- Everything Thread

Postby Newmanistan » Mon Feb 07, 2022 7:11 pm

Welcome to the 12th season of NSSCRA!

Once again, we are going to attempt to run two different series. The main series (Multiversal Cup Series) and the second tier series (EverLong Series). The main series will be scorinated in the manner in which you are accustomed too, or in the same way that seasons 6-11 have been. The second series has all drivers, regardless of their nation, start with a skill level of zero. This puts all nations on a level playing period to begin with for that series. The second tier series only has one scorination of data, there are not five segments that are averaged.

Every "race weekend" will have two days in which information is scorinated. Day 1 will be the qualifying for the main series and the official race results (with qualifying) for the second tier series. Day 2 will be the day in which main series results are scorinated. Day 2 will be the only day where there is an official RP cutoff. Day 1 will not have an official cutoff for RP as the results will be posted at a time similar to what cutoff time typically is, but will be done without a cutoff associated with it.

Ex: In the main series, a race's information reads like this:
Exhibition- (Feb 15/16)- Exhibition at The Proving Grounds Presented by Rocket Automotive

This means that the cutoff date for this race is February 16.
On February 15, qualifying for this race will be posted without a cutoff. It will also be the day that the corresponding second tier series race has it's results posted (as long as with the qualifying).

The next post will contain the full schedule.

THE TEAM

Image

Gale Force Racing, formerly Glorious Free Republic Motorsports, was founded six seasons ago and was originally St. Kanye's official entry in the Electric Grand Prix (eGP). However, that series never took off, and so the team refocused their efforts into stock car racing, debuting in the sixth season of the Nationstates Stock Car Racing Association (NSSCRA). Today GFR have over twenty wins, consistent playoff performances, and a Cup championship. The current team president is Lucas "Luke" Brown, a former driver and champion in KURT (Kanyean Unified Racing Tournament), the country's top series, and the vice president is Eunice Radetsky.

THE CAR

Image

The Chadwick Infinite, the next step in the evolution of St. Kanye's most popular sedan model, is the car of choice not only for GFR, but also their technical allies, New Northwesteros-based Direwolf Auto Team and Esmerel's Team ZR. Tires and fuel are provided by Tropicorp Racing Supply and Argo Petrol, respectively.

THE DRIVERS

Image

#18 Jeremiah Brooke

Twii.tur: @Jeremiah_B
NSSCRA 6 Championship Four
NSSCRA 7 Regular Season Champion
NSSCRA 8 Regular Season Runner-Up
NSSCRA 9 Regular Season Runner-Up
NSSCRA 9 Champion
NSSCRA 10 Championship Four
1-Time Vilaye Energy Drink 314 Winner

Crew Chief: Ben Warwick
Spotter: Raymond Goldfarb

Jeremiah, 31, made his debut in the Cup Series' sixth season, and won the championship in its ninth season. He is known for being one of the nicest, most approachable drivers in the series, getting along well with fans and competitors alike, as well as his chill, laid back personality. Despite missing several races due to injury in two different seasons, he is still one of the winningest drivers in the field, and is in fact one of only three drivers in the NSSCRA's Chase era to win back-to-back races in two consecutive weeks, the others being Anastasia Aye of Valentine Z's Valkyrie Racing Team and Taylor Henderson of Hapilopper's Team Blue.

At the end of the tenth season, Jeremiah married his girlfriend and fellow driver and champion, Stacie Houston of Cassadaigua. They have a son, Jericho Houston-Brooke (Stacie decided to keep her surname, and the pair decided all future offspring will have theirs hyphenated), who is staying with Jeremiah's parents at his house in Bompton, St. Kanye.

#27 Stacie Houston (OOC: Big thanks to Cassadaigua for allowing me to use her driver on my team)

Twii.tur: @StacieHouston27
NSSCRA 6 Championship Four
NSSCRA 7 Championship Four
NSSCRA 7 Champion
NSSCRA 8 Championship Four
NSSCRA 9 Championship Four

Crew Chief: Marinette Harbaugh
Spotter: Roger Fenty

After noticing her brilliant performance as a replacement for her injured husband Jeremiah late in the previous season, which included a win in Valentine Z just a few months after giving birth to Jericho, GFR decided to take on the 34-year-old Stacie full-time. This proved to be a very popular move with fans, not only in St. Kanye and Cassadaigua but around the world, since it unites two past champions under the same garage, and a husband and wife at that. Stacie herself was excited, having already felt comfortable behind the wheel of a Chad as well as working with the Yeezie crew assigned to her (her usual 'Dagan crew have all moved over to Maddie Alexander). When asked if she and Jeremiah will be going easy on each other on the track, Stacie said: "No way. We both agreed that we won't. That's one thing about our relationship - we always try to push each other to do better."

Somewhere, Kev Schorebrook must be kicking himself hard right now.

#46 Thea Alvarez

Twii.tur: @Luna_Althea
NSSCRA 6 Championship Four
NSSCRA 7 Championship Four
NSSCRA 8 Championship Four
NSSCRA 10 Championship Four
NSSCRA 11 Championship Four

Crew Chief: Kaley Curtis
Spotter: Naomi Hoff

Thea is a shy, sensitive girl who enjoys fantasy books and movies, stuffed animals and shoes, and would rather dress cute than sexy. At 24, she is the youngest member of the team. But behind the innocent exterior lies a very tough challenger who has mastered the art of last-second wins ("Yeezie magic", as the media calls it). She draws support and inspiration from the many young fans who look up to her as a positive female role model - and it seems to be working wonders, as evidenced by her record five Championship Four appearances.

As a good luck charm of sorts, Thea keeps a stuffed Cocoabo toy beside her during races. Its name, "Cocoabo #46", even appears above the passenger side window of her cars.

THE SPONSORS

Vylet: A tech giant which operates throughout Atlantian Oceania. With their distinctively colored uniforms and vehicles, it's easy to see if someone is having their internet installed or fixed. They have paid a large, undisclosed amount in order to move up from secondary to primary sponsor for Jeremiah Brooke and the #18 team.

Hyde Medical Group: The biggest healthcare company and seventh biggest private company overall in St. Kanye, Hyde operates hospitals, manufactures medicines and medical equipment, does research, works with medical schools and charities, and gives secondary sponsorship to Brooke. Recently, they have also taken their sponsorship into other forms of motorsport, making a deal with Schkeska-VSK Viska Racing, an Aurunan WGPC team.

GGtech: Pencurve Electronics' brand of gaming accessories like mice, keyboards and controllers, as well as gadgets such as laptops. They also manufacture the track simulators used by both GFR and Skip Stiller's racing school, and will be back as the title sponsor for the regular season finale in the Everlong series, the GGtech 450.

Five Star Mobile: The Cassadagan carrier has a long and fruitful partnership with Stacie Houston, and as such follows her to GFR.

Charisma Cosmetics: Since paint company Multiversal now sponsors the top tier series, they have left GFR and Thea Alvarez's camp due to it being a conflict of interest. Taking over primary sponsorship for the #46 will be this Jalton-based cosmetics company, which Alvarez not only is an endorser of, but is also a part owner.

Girls Will Code: A movement that started in Filindostan, promoting the teaching of computer programming among females. (OOC: Girls Will Code logo used with permission from Filindostan.)

Coleman & Thorne: The biggest banking company and fifth biggest private company overall in St. Kanye. Long known for being traditional and old-fashioned, C&T has recently undergone a complete rebrand, hoping to attract the growing number of young professionals in the country (as well as the rest of the Atlantian Oceania region).

Eon Energy: The Esmerelian energy drink company will not only sponsor their countryman Ezekiel Rodger, but also the Yeezies, whom Rodger has a technical alliance with. (OOC: Name by Esmerel, logos by me.)

Despite Team Cassadaigua continuing their non-participation in the NSSCRA Multiversal Cup Series, the upcoming twelfth season will see no less than four Dagans on the track at any given Sunday. Chelsea Taylor has accepted an offer from Newmanistan's Rocket Motorsports; Jenna Logan and reigning Rookie of the Year Maddie Alexander enter their second season at Team Tropicorp; while multiple race winner and seventh season champ Stacie Houston joins an already star-studded lineup at St. Kanye's Gale Force Racing, teaming up with her husband and fellow titleholder Jeremiah Brooke and perennial Chase contender Thea Alvarez. This meant that the winless Sage Caldwell would be the odd driver out, and so he was loaned to the returning Direwolf Auto Team.

#13 Sage Caldwell

Twii.tur: @SageTheRacer

Crew Chief: Jackson Cohen
Spotter: Bart Easton

Direwolf were more than happy to take Sage on, promising him a guaranteed charter, with the second car going to a local. Problem was, they just couldn't find anyone to fill that seat. The AOCAR guys wanted to stay in AOCAR, where there's far less pressure; Paul Nystrom was content with his semi-retirement; Tyler Linde had become an IRACT powerhouse, gaining a huge following both in New Northwesteros and in Sherpaland, and didn't want to leave that life behind to return to being a field filler. Hence, Direwolf turned to their neighbors once again, becoming a second Yeezie team of sorts with the arrival of Ricky Lee from the Beiyang Factory Team, which had folded during the offseason.

#99 Ricky Lee

Crew Chief: Jared Vaughan
Spotter: Jimbo Cornell

Sage was a little disappointed at first, but being the least accomplished member of GFR, he was in no position to argue. Eventually he came to embrace the move as his chance to make a name for himself. As for the number, Sage was iffy on retaining #3, as that was just inherited from Skip Stiller when he retired. But then he stuck a 1 in front of it, and felt it looked good. "I don't really mind the bad connotations from the superstitions. Remember, lucky 13 is a thing too," he said. "I'm definitely making #13 mine, and if GFR decide to recall me, I'll make sure to keep it there."

#13 Sage Caldwell - Blood Moon Beer (12 Races: TF500, Wollongmatta Bay, Oontaz, Chieujeau, Esmerel, TJUN 600, both Hapilopper races, Kannap, Guilin, Sajnur, PG500)
Image

#13 Sage Caldwell - QED Car Rentals (8 Races: Exhibition, Qzvarkian Qaz, Brisbane, Lonngeylin, Tropicoast, Fredericksburg, Val Z, Abanhfleft)
Image

#13 Sage Caldwell - Rich Discount Stores (5 Races: Ramba, G6MR, Kimi-Suomi, Vilaye 314, Delano)
Image

It also would have been a good partner to Ricky's #12, which he used last season. But Kannap's Clengin Motorsports came and requested that number for Daniel Wynfor, paying Ricky to give it up. Ricky considered #23, #11, #60 (his first number at Beiyang) and #19 (suggested by Sage, who used it before as an R&D driver for GFR) before settling on #99. "It's the biggest possible. It repeats. It even has history with Direwolf. What's not to love?" Ricky said.

#99 Ricky Lee - AutoRealm (13 Races: Road Courses and Superspeedways, except Jalton)

#99 Ricky Lee - Axis Hyper Clean (12 Races: Short Tracks and Speedways, except Kardashia)

The Royal Racing team was established to participate in the Krbustanian National Tournaments, its participation in the NSSCRA 12 is the first international participation, after the federation decided to host one of the NSSCRA races.

The owner of the team is Gamal Gawdat, a Krbustanian businessman who owns a chain of fast food restaurants called Royal Restaurants, Gamal sought to sign a sponsor contract for the team. He tried to convince his team’s sponsor in the local tournaments, Petrol Al Khaleej Company from Coral Bay, but they refused on the pretext that the tournament was not popular on the Island Of Union and among their clients, He tried with several sponsors, but failed to contract with them, until he decided to try with the food, beverage and cigarette companies that he deals with in his restaurants, Here he had two main sponsors, Royal Cigarette Company and SharqCola, and several secondary sponsors, Krbustan Automotive, Jbeil Farms and Sun Tea.

Gamal decided to contract with two drivers from the Petrol Al Khaleej Racing Academy, who are young men, Amr Tarif and Gerges Shenouda, all of their experience in karting through the academy, and he also contracted with a group of technicians from the academy as well.

The team will use a KAC-Eagle G1 produced by Krbustan Automotive Company, which has been modified by company technicians to match the specifications of the NSSCRA cars, as part of the sponsorship contract.

GOOD TEAM BLUE

Gauges, Phoenix Insurance Brokers, UltraValue Master Mechanic Stores, Romlin Spark Plugs

TEAM PERSONNEL YOU SHOULD PROBABLY KNOW ABOUT.

Team Owner: Amanda McAlister (twii.tur: @Amanda_TeamBlue)
Image

The daughter of Ken Henson, who ran Team Blue from the 1970s until 2019, Amanda McAlister is the calm, mild-mannered leader of Team Blue, running the team through the turbulent times, the high moments and the times where she just wants to strangle Drake Stevenson or Taylor Henderson for doing something stupid. Originally someone with little-to-no interest in racing, McAlister rarely traveled to races until two years ago. Currently, Amanda has guided Team Blue through quite the storm and into one of the top teams in international stock car racing. The team has evolved into a solid unit, working together, winning together and losing together. McAlister, like the rest of Team Blue, is highly optimistic for the coming season.

Driver Coach: Frank Bronson (twii.tur: @Frank_Bronson)
Image

You know this guy. Frank Bronson, retired from the world of racing, is still with Team Blue, serving as the team's driver consultant. Bronson, who won a couple of NSSCRA races with Team Blue, has remained a vital part of the team, working to help the team through all its ups and downs, and is said to be one of the smartest auto racing minds in all of Hapilopper and, if he's able to, will be able to help the team compete for victory. Bronson is still quite close to each of Team Blue's three drivers, and the three drivers highly respect him. It is said that Bronson will also serve as a substitute driver for any of the three, should something happen that would necessitate their absence from the wheel. Chances are this could happen with Chris Holmes, whose fiancee, Angela, is expecting their first child.

THE DRIVERS.

Image
#81 - DRAKE STEVENSON | Hometown: Hapilopper City | Age: 34 | Twii.tur: @HapiDrake81
HASCAR Starts: 309 | Wins: 54 | HASCAR Challenge Cups: 4 (2011, 2013, 2014, 2018)
NSSCRA Starts: 69* | Wins: 2 | NSSCRA Championships: 0 | Super Skychief 500 Wins: 1 (Season 10)
Crew Chief: John Malloy (twii.tur: @j_malloy) | Spotter: Banjo Williams (twii.tur: @BanjoHap)
Driving Style: Somewhat (expletive) aggressive | Demeanor: Team Leader | Retaliation?: Unlikely
* - Nice.

For the first time in years, Drake Stevenson truly feels comfortable in his seat, preparing to start his third season driving the #81 Super Skychief for Team Blue. The oldest driver on the team, Stevenson is one of the most decorated drivers in all of Hapiloppian stock car racing, scoring four HASCAR Challenge Cups in the last decade and, as of now, is the lone Hapiloppian driver to hold a victory in the crown jewel of motor racing events in the country, the Super Skychief 500. Last season was Stevenson's best in the NSSCRA, finishing second to Taylor Henderson in the final points and winning the regular season championship. At least he can see what the NSSCRA Multiversal Cup trophy looks like in his home, as Taylor, his girlfriend, has moved in with him.

These days, Stevenson is unfortunately known for having one of the filthiest mouths in racing when he's on track. Stevenson's profanity-laced radio tirades can be heard on NSSCRA Radioactive, a very popular show seen on the H-Sports cable TV network. Those radio transmissions found their way onto a CD set up by teammate Chris Holmes and circulated to the entire NSSCRA paddock, a situation that led to a physical altercation in the Team Blue Center last year when Tsering Chu punched Holmes out. We'll keep track of how angry Stevenson gets over the radio this year.

Image
#73 - TAYLOR HENDERSON | Hometown: West Hampton | Age: 23 | Twii.tur: @THendo73
HASCAR Starts: 32 | Wins: 2 | HASCAR Challenge Cups: 0
NSSCRA Starts: 88 | Wins: 4 | NSSCRA Championships: 1 (NSSCRA 11)
Crew Chief: Pat Howard (twii.tur: @PitBoxChief) | Spotter: Will Stanton (twii.tur: @HendosEyes)
Driving Style: Extremely aggressive | Demeanor: Sweet but tough | Retaliation?: Oh hell yes

Taylor Marie Henderson comes into this NSSCRA season as the defending champion of the entire series. The youngest driver on Team Blue, its most aggressive and poentially its most volatile, Henderson surprised everyone with her tremendous showing during the last 11 races of the season, winning both the regular season finale and the Chase opener, as well as the start of the second round. Her late-season form wowed Hapiloppians and scared the rest of the field, which just might be the way she likes it. After all, Henderson came up from the roughest and wildest school of racing in Hapilopper - that of short track racing in the Hampton Cities, where the predominant philosophy for racing was "destroy or be destroyed."

And that school of thought has gotten her into trouble in the past. Two years ago, she was involved in some of the biggest controversies in the NSSCRA, when her Hampton Cities aggression come out in a bad way that year, taking out Sage Caldwell and then mouthing off about how it was his fault. It was likely the work of Drake Stevenson, trying to get her to relax, that kept the Hendo-Caldwell situation from getting any worse. But her fans like that kind of aggression. They like someone that won't take any baloney from her fellow drivers. She wants to win races and she doesn't give a damn how she does it. Those close to her say they wouldn't be surprised if she pulled off more moves like that this season in an effort to defend her championship.

Image
#8 - CHRIS HOLMES | Hometown: Buckridge | Age: 28 | Twii.tur: @CHolmes
HASCAR Starts: 30 | Wins: 1 | HASCAR Challenge Cups: 0
NSSCRA Starts: 82 | Wins: 1 | NSSCRA Championships: 0
Crew Chief: Lawrence Malloy (twii.tur: @larry_m8) | Spotter: Sharp-Eyes Glover (no twii.tur)
Driving Style: Patient | Demeanor: Relaxed | Retaliation?: No

These days, Chris Holmes is a calm, collected and slightly nervy racing driver, looking for his first win in several years, a win that would most likely be well-received by everyone in the NSSCRA garage - well, almost everyone. Kai Qiang and Tsering Chu would probably disagree, but that shouldn't surprise you. Chris Holmes is far removed from the Chris Holmes of old, who was a drunk, a hyper-aggressive driver, and a manchild that people didn't really like associating themselves with. The new Chris Holmes, however, is not any of those things. He sobered himself up. He's much more mellow out on the race track. He's developed a much more positive outlook on life, and he and fiancee Angela are welcoming their first child into the world sometime this season.

Holmes, these days, drives with sponsorship from Mel's Ultra-Mart, the largest chain of hypermarkets in Hapilopper. After being fired from Hawking-Byrd Motorsports early in NSSCRA 10, Holmes took a job as a forklift driver for a Mel's distribution center, a job that he said helped him to grow as an adult. Holmes acts as Mel's top spokesperson and appears in commercials for the store all over Hapiloppian television.

THE ROCKFORD REPORT

Local news for a city of millions

LOCAL TUNER STEPS UP TO THE PLATE- THE RESTRICTOR PLATE
Authored by Ben Bragg - 12 Feb 2022

I’m not sure how well that title worked, seeing as I don’t think the NSSCRA runs restrictor plates. But we’ve still got exciting news to listen to. Local chop shop owner Zeke Rodger has leapt on up to the front by declaring his intentions to run the NSSCRA’s 12th season, a 26-race romp of stock car driving across the Verse in every different way of turning left, as well as right sometimes.

At 515 West Anglia Boulevard, ironically on the east end of town, sits Rodger’s First Gear Auto Shop, a small-time business with 36 employees, all of whom love the work they do, and in tradition with Esmerel, follow generous labor practices. Pulling your car into the garage there will see them give you the rundown of everything you can do with it, from just tuning it up, to buffing out wrecked parts and replacing what’s broken, to giving it the old First Gear once-over and making it run like new with all sorts of tunes, ranging from the cheapest but best results to complete overhauls.

Zeke started the business a few years back, and by now many in Rockford and beyond too have had a chance to get some service done, all for a fair price and a phenomenal result. He did so after scavenging a solid amount of winnings earned from tuning cars in Esmerel’s well-cultivated weekly and local racing scenes, both for other drivers and the occasional self-entry.

While everyone’s had their share of respect given to the guy, almost no one has seen this coming- but to be fair, few saw coming what made it happen. Over in the WGPC, after another year to forget for national hero Jean Mercer-Daly, not necessarily out of a lack of trying but a lack of communication, a rushed schedule due to the pandemic, and plenty of other misfortunes, he’s decided to unceremoniously hang up the gloves, leaving the nation as a whole without representation out in the greater Verse. And, to be frank, most people have been fine with that. But not Zeke.

While jumping right to the top division, the Multiversal Cup Series, puts Zeke at a disadvantage, he was still able to get a charter to be guaranteed to start all the races. At first, it was all he desired, since he said he just wanted to be out there rather than not. Good luck’s met with him, though, as he’s secured full sponsorships from the tech giant Atlas, the we’ll-do-it logisticians at Winters Corporate, and the ever-popular Eon Energy Drink, whose taste won’t ever let the memory of drinking it fade. For good reason, not bad. Alongside that, he’s gained a technical and minor sponsorship alliance with Kanyean mega-team Gale Force Racing (formerly Glorious Free Republic Motorsports), with a 4-race deal with Axis Hyper Clean to be a sponsor, and the same parts as the big boys and girls use, with the powerful Chadwick Infinite and all its specs ready to drive.

While no one’s seen the car in action yet, Zeke has promised he won’t be bringing it to the exhibition in Newmanistan without some testing first. Thanks to GFR, though, we do have renders of the #0 car which will be running, in its 3 paint schemes:

-
#0 Eon Energy Chadwick - 14 Races (0, 1, 3, 4, 8, 9, 10, 13, 14, 17, 20, 21, 22, 26)

Image

-
#0 Winters Corporate Chadwick - 9 Races (2, 5, 6, 7, 15, 18, 19, 23, 25)

Image

-
#0 Axis Hyper Clean Chadwick - 4 Races (11, 12, 16, 24)

Image

-

We’ll be seeing the #0 running in practice and qualifying for the Rocket Automotive Exhibition at the Proving Grounds in just a couple of days, and while Zeke’s got a mountain to climb ahead of him, if anyone’s going to be pushing for his support, it’ll be his friends back at the shop, and all of us at home.

Go and have a good time, Zeke!

THE OTHER TEAM

Image

Skip Stiller Speedworks with Max Gannon, as its name implies, is owned by former NSSCRA driver Skip Stiller and local racing legend and journalist Max Gannon. The team, which competes in NSSCRA's second tier Everlong Contenders' Series, has a technical alliance with Gale Force Racing of the Multiversal Cup Series. The previous season saw SSS ("triple S") rack up six victories (seven counting the Prospect Showcase) and the overall title, and they will hope to continue their form with the help of new recruit and one-time Cup Series winner Lexi Patterson.

THE CAR

As with GFR, they use the Chadwick Infinite car model, Tropicorp brand tires, and Argo Petrol.

THE DRIVERS

Image

#20 Daryl Calhoun

Twii.tur: @iamdcalhoun

NSSCRA 10 Runner-Up
NSSCRA 11 Champion

Crew Chief: Liuyong Xu
Spotter: Duncan Payne

Daryl improved on what was already a fantastic rookie campaign - after winning four points races and earning season runner-up honors, he won another four, plus the non-points Prospect Showcase, and then held off teammate Pyotr Lavrentiev and a couple of Hapiloppian challengers in the season finale to be crowned the new Everlong champion. The Yeezie driver wasn't the only one screaming as the #20 Chadwick crossed the start/finish line at the Tundra Falls Proving Grounds in first place, though - crew chief Liuyong Xu was also happy at being able to achieve what he had never done so as a driver, so happy in fact that he signed a contract extension with SSS that very night. Most of the crew followed suit in the days that followed, while Valentian arms manufacturer Voor & Baptiste and New Northwesteros' Apocalypse Pest Control also extended their sponsorship deals.

Image

#22 Pyotr Lavrentiev

Twii.tur: @CeroatLav

NSSCRA 11 Championship Four

Crew Chief: James Fellows
Spotter: Ethan Petrov

The Ceroat-born driver continued his friendly rivalry with former teammate Rustam Ilyich Yudin, both of them visiting victory lane twice and reaching the Round of Eight. But even though "Lav" would advance to the title race (ultimately losing to Daryl and the Haps) and Rustam would be eliminated, it was the latter who got a chance to move up to the Cup Series as UrGa saw both Guillermo Archer and Dinggu Wang hang their helmets. This started some speculation that Lav may have to jump ship to another team if he wants to follow Rustam to the top tier, since none of the current GFR trio looks like they'd be going anywhere else. "Let's not think about that, and focus on the season," Lav told reporters. "I'll just do my best here, and hope Rustam does the same there, with the Multiversal guys and gals."

Image

#30 Lexi Patterson

Crew Chief: Aleena McGraw
Spotter: Peter Plummer

Lexi joins her third team and first in the Everlong series, after spending her Multiversal career with her native Hampton Island Racing and then moving to Jebslunden Motorenwerken. "In my career, I've been through up, down, up, then down again," said the newest SSS member, referring to her getting her shot at the big time with her countrymen, then having her relationship with them turn sour causing her to leave, then winning a race and making the Chase with the Jebslunders, and sticking with them even as they faltered performance-wise, even losing her charter in the process. "Hoping that things look up once more with the Yeezies. Having observed them and even raced against them, they seem like they know their stuff, and I'm grateful they gave me another chance to go out there and prove myself."

THE SPONSORS

Chadwick Dealers: Lav will be factory-sponsored for the entirety of the season; his car will be the signature Chadwick silver, with a red and white Ceroatian checkered pattern. Less a "political statement", due to the lack of any actual cause advertised, and more of a "country pride" scheme.

Voor & Baptiste Defense Systems: Before deciding to sponsor Daryl, V&B made appearances on their local team's open charter ride, the #63 driven by Marcus Reynolds (now in the #77) and later Jamie Izabella Eirian.

Apocalypse Pest Control: Despite Direwolf Auto Team's return to competition, Apocalypse did not come back on board with them, instead staying with Daryl as his secondary sponsor. They do make their presence known in IRACT though, being the primary for star driver and former Direwolf member Tyler Linde, who happens to be the company founder's son.

Panther Jeans: This clothing company, popular with Yeezie teens and young adults, will be the primary for the newcomer Lexi. They are also one of the sponsors for GFR's AOCAR operation.

Shellshock Batteries: The battery of choice for GFR, SSS, Direwolf and Esmerel's Team ZR (so, all Chadwick entries across both series), sponsoring Lexi is a no-brainer since they hail from the same country as her.

Part 0 – Back and better than ever.

Exuberant Superintendent T-2000/2904-3 Surveillant Clarissa Alanis Star Breya « La Amoureux Chéri » Millie Taissa Butterfly Mélody Coraline Jolijn Trini Clementine Hollie Samantha Zeta Harumi

Colloquially referred by the folks outside of Valentine Z as "The Big Blue", Clarissa is back into NSSCRA 12 with her #7, majorly sponsored by Lhotse Love, along with the likes of Isalov Industries, Harumi Robotics, followed by Flux Semicapacitors. After her forced departure from her own world, the Valentians have taken an interest in the adorable robot with the innocence of a child, with Valentijn eventually marrying her in what was perhaps the first human-robot relationship that went official with the ceremony and everything (the Valentians have always been open with the idea of marriage as long as it's between two adults, but it was still quite a topic of fascination). That aside, she came back to NSSCRA after some encouragement and coaxing, since she was also involved in the international football with World Cup 90, leading her team known as the "Valentian Kittens". Whilst they made strides of their own, they would still be playing in Cup of Harmony, making as far as post-Qualifications and playoffs recently. Above all, for NSSCRA, she still hopes that her robotic and computational mind and expertise will help her win.

Anastasia “De Sierlijke en Vrij High Valkyrie ov Valentine Z” Freya Valentina Ada. Jolin Annelijn Caitlin Trijntje Crystal Clarice Constance Judy Voi. D. Nexitros Annile Teresa Thida Myat Yadana Aye

Image
Image

Proving to everyone that even the magical girls can drive, Anastasia proved herself by winning the championship way back in NSSCRA 10. Of course, that was two seasons ago counting this one, and Anastasia in turn hoped that she will be able to fight for the championship this time around, after NSSCRA 11 proving to be a little too difficult for her. Relying purely on her instinct and going mainly by the book initially, Anastasia has picked up a lot of new and tried methods along the way, giving her the edge that she needed to survive on the tracks without being dirty. Her #15 is more or less the same from the previous season, except with minor sponsorship changes from Val Z.

-----

Chief Aviator Gwen Tracer Hepburn “Fate of Existence and the Omniverse” Ellen Trixie Caitlin Foxworthy Avril Verlene Eveline Celinda Sammy Doris T-Rev Oxton Arielle Lindall Leslie Vitesse Allison

Image
Image

Just like Clarissa, Gwen Tracer Allison Oxton also got herself involved in the other parts of international sports, specifically the IBC – International Basketball Championship. Leading a team known as Gwen's Angels for 2 seasons, it was soon time for her to bid her team farewell for the season as she made her way to Valentine Z to sign up for yet another NSSCRA season. Her #31 is still the bright green and blue car that everyone can see from a mile away, except with major sponsorship differences. For one, the major sponsor has changed to T. Rev Memory Lane, which is spearheaded by Gwen as the only staff of the company in order to provide visitors (only Valentians for now) with the unforgettable experience of being able to travel back in time to act as tourists. She plans to expand this those outside of Valentine Z, but for now, Butterfly Effect and potential timelines botching up are holding her back. Gwen is also sponsored by the Valentian Department of Physics, which owes quite a fair deal to her thanks to the time and space bending powers that opened many doors to the research and perspectives of Valentian science.

-----

Valentijn “De Sierlijke en Vrij Valkyrie General ov Valentine Z” Samantha Maxwell Delta Weston Stijn Angelus Tracey Mitchell Tristian Marnix Basilisk Lewis Hyatt X. Constantine Sein Lin Zaw Naing

Image
Image

Proudly sponsored by the Valentian Defense Forces which she leads, Valkyrie Valentijn Samantha Constantine is also back for another round of NSSCRA 12, perhaps hoping for a championship in the Everlong series. Along the way, she has also unveiled the creation and opening of the floating island course, which will debut as the road course for the Multiversal Series. That is, she is ironically not going to be racing on the floating course despite being the main organizer. Still, that was all according to plan, as she might have a surprise or two for the drivers in the way of a product reveal, or a prototype of a research that the Valentians are doing and perfecting at the moment.

-----

Foresittend Marcus Alan Ariel Maximillian “Unendlichkeit Jäger” Swifty Felix Maverick Prometheus Revlin Lynx Artyom Lichtenstein Baptiste C. Talon Haydn Lincoln Taal Reynolds Fang Wu Ying

Image

Standing 32 feet tall outside of the track, and with an equally big heart to boot, Marcus Alan Ariel Reynolds made quite an entrance with his living suit of armour, standing alongside Valentijn in order to get a go once again at Everlong. The two close friends have been nothing but cordial with one another, even in the heats of moments that might break other people and to start railing on whoever is closest to them. Marcus will be driving his #77, the number change being the one due to his generosity in giving #60 to the other teams that might want it. The #77 is heavily sponsored by the defense forces and companies in Valentine Z, most (if not all) of which are owned by the government, on the contrary to the belief that the Valentians have privatised defense. "It was just a coincidence that they appeared as so, but just like the police, firefighters, and the ambulance services, we still need logos and icons for these places. On top of that, any earnings they get from whatever sources are also spent efficiently and appropriately – to further strengthen the defences of Valentine Z and to give our departments the research funds."

Part 0 – Back and better than ever.

The newest member of the NSSCRA drivers in Valentine Z, Anna Joy Star Thanda Pwint Thinzar Nwe is designated as the Second Personification of Valentine Z, right beside Klarissa and Cyan who are deemed as First and Third Personifications respectively. It is difficult for people to wrap their head around that there are personifications of a nation who exists physically instead of just being imaginary propaganda tools, but lo and behold, they do exist. Klarissa represent the green nature of Valentine Z, Cyan represents the love of cats. As a result, Anna in turn then represents the sheer (non-drug-induced) happiness and cheerfulness that the Valentians have on their own. She will be trying out on the scenes of NSSCRA 12 on the second team of Val Z, right alongside Holly and Jolyn. Her car is mostly sponsored by Medical services and Foreign Aid organizations, reflecting her attitude of life in turn.

It's always difficult even for someone like Holly Starlight herself to wrap her head around as to why she love motorsports racing so much. For someone who spent a lot of time in her own dimension and away from pollution and fires (or places with excessive heat), Holly has quite a vested interest in the world of NSSCRA – at first a bit nervous, but eventually becoming one of the more unusual drivers and entities to grace the race track. Back in NSSCRA 11, she has also given almost everyone a set of exotic gifts, ranging from a leaf that can transcribe spoken words, to a pen that can write in lights and will not deplete for a long time. She is, for all intents and purposes, an enigma.

Head of the Valentian Ministry of Education, as well as having honed the futures and attitudes of several Valentian students, teachers, facilities, principals, and provosts alike, Jolyn Helen Maxine Caulfield Ceeta has been focusing on the education of many Valentians ever since she semi-retired from her espionage days – she still does it now and then, but more for the thrill of it and without going too far and killing anyone she sees like an action hero spy. And perhaps that was that for the best; anything more, and Jolyn will unfortunately have to give the people amnesia for what they have learned. Going back to her educational commitments, the whole of Valentine Z perhaps owed it all to her, for being the woman that drafted and rewrote the definition of education for the Valentian kids, as well as seeking to open as many potentials as possible instead of going for number grades. #76, Ministry of Education.

The French Army is commanded by Napoleon Bonaparte. He has appointed Louis-Alexandre Berthier to manage the army's NSSCRA teams.

Now let's meet the French drivers...

Image

Joachim Murat is a flamboyant cavalry commander who always looks dashing on the battlefield or the race track. As a boy, he ran away from seminary school to enlist in the cavalry -- and throughout his life, he has never lost that sense of adventure. He has a taste for feathers and furs and he probably spends more time doing his hair than a lot of the women in NSSCRA, but don't let that fool you: he is still a man among men. What he lacks in driving experience and technical expertise, he'll try to make up with courage, daring, and ambition. Even if he loses, he'll still do it with style.

It was his idea for the French Army to capture a race track and get into NSSCRA. He drives a Mouly and he has recruited some Jouoangquoirais engineers to help him with the technical aspects of maintaining an NSSCRA car.
Image

Image

Andre Massena is cynical, greedy, and lecherous -- but also smart, relentless, and tough as nails. Despite coming from humble beginnings and growing up in a world dominated by hereditary nobility, he was still able to climb the ranks and make a name for himself in the French Army. When Napoleon's marshals raced against each other to decide who would represent the French in NSSCRA, Massena climbed the field by putting anyone who got in his way into the wall. Berthier was the only one who pushed back, but after two laps of battling each other and swapping paint, Berthier lost his nerve, parked the car, and refused to finish the race. Afterward, Massena found Berthier sitting in the infield looking visibly shaken, as if he'd just returned from a harrowing battle. Massena said to him, "You would have beaten me if you hadn't chickened out!" but Berthier insisted that he didn't want to hear it and he was not going to get behind the wheel ever again.

Massena drives a Beiyang and he has enlisted the help of the Green brothers of Northwinds for technical assistance. When Massena and the Green brothers get through with it, the car probably won't bear much resemblance to the Beiyangs Gongming Gao and Ricky Lee were driving last year.
Image

Image

Jean Lannes believes in getting things done, even if he has to ruffle some feathers along the way. If he sees a problem, he will not let it go until it is fixed. He is outspoken, foul-tempered, and doesn't take no shit from no one. He punched Massena in the face for driving too aggressively when they raced against each other, he cussed out Napoleon for telling him not to beat up Massena, and his crew -- both the Frenchmen and the Jouoangquoirens -- are terrified of him.

He drives a Wamurra.

Postby The Sherpa Empire » Mon Feb 14, 2022 3:31 pm

The Sherpa Empire is represented in NSSCRA by three single-car teams. Although the teams are nominally independent, there is some cooperation between them -- especially between Lhakpa-TMW and Yulha Sherpa College, whose drivers are husband and wife. The Sherpa teams and their drivers are...

Image

IRACT is a domestic racing league in the Sherpa Empire. They are best known for stock car racing, and they own an NSSCRA charter -- but they also host a variety of other motorsports. IRACT and its predecessors have a history of lax safety standards, illegal street racing, and ties to more serious organized crime. (If you want to sell a kidney on the black market, ask around at your local IRACT track. You'll probably find a buyer.) However, they have taken steps to clean up their act, and they are becoming increasingly professional with every passing year.

IRACT has a complicated relationship with the Sherpa government. They are officially sanctioned by the Sherpa Ministry of Culture, but IRACT officials frequently butt heads with the Ministry. The league's headquarters are in Guilin, but it remains very decentralized. The individual teams and local track owners have a lot of autonomy, and there are many rivalries within IRACT.

At the beginning of every year, before NSSCRA and IRACT start their regular seasons, IRACT holds a short series to determine who will represent them in NSSCRA. For the last few years, it has been dominated by one man:

Image
Rinzi Aogar Zakhilwal

Age: 32
Hometown: Dali, Yunnan Territory
Car: AutoModi 378
Sponsors: AutoModi, Mayhem, Xianglian Sportswear, Coco Mart, Seven Peaks Tsampa, Highland Tire, Petrohan (fuel supplier), Wolf Totem Carpets (his mom's carpet store)

Background:

Rinzi started his career as one of IRACT's most notorious backmarkers, but it turned out this was mostly due to an underfunded team and an unreliable car. When AutoModi asked if he'd like to drive for them, Rinzi immediately agreed -- and immediately started getting better results. It was enough to make the jump to NSSCRA, where he's had a successful career over the last four seasons. Rinzi is undeniably talented, but his dominance in IRACT has also been reinforced by lucrative sponsorships. He has appeared in a series of humorously campy ads for the Kanyean men's care brand Mayhem. In markets where the ad campaign runs, both Rinzi and Mayhem have become household names.

Rinzi's rise from IRACT backmarker to NSSCRA star happened very quickly, and he attributes it to divine blessings from Allah. He attributes a lot of things to divine blessings from Allah, and he mostly tries to be a good Muslim, but he sometimes lets little things slide on the theory that he can have fun now and apologize to God later. Rinzi is a bit of a doofus, but he generally means well and likes people.

His wife Tashi is one of the most successful black fashion models in the Sherpa Empire, but that's not saying much. There is not a significant black community, and the demand for black models is a niche market. Rinzi met her at an AutoModi marketing event in Concord Heights, Cassadaigua -- so they'll be disappointed that Concord Heights has not returned to the NSSCRA calendar. Their parents have been pressuring them to have children, but Tashi does not want to rush into it.

Yulha Sherpa College is the Sherpa Empire's most prestigious school for the Deaf. They've had an NSSCRA charter since season 7 when some of their students put together a team. The people who were on that original team in season 7 have graduated by now, but the team is still going and it is still affiliated with the school. The current team is a mix of veterans and current students.

The school offers assorted internship opportunities both working for the team and reporting on NSSCRA.

Although Yulha Sherpa College is traditionally a school for the Deaf, its involvement in NSSCRA has attracted increased interest from people who are not Deaf. The school, students, and alumni have mixed feelings about this. It's nice to get lots of applications for admission, but some people worry that the school is losing its unique character as a sanctuary for Deaf culture. These are often the same people who worry that technological advances in hearing aids -- which have made deafness increasingly curable -- will undermine their community and culture.

On the flip side, non-Deaf people who are interested in the NSSCRA internships sometimes get frustrated that the school still requires all students to learn sign language.

Tsering Chu (楚色林)

Age: 24
Hometown: Nanjing, Jiangsu Territory (but now living in Guilin)
Car: TMW Phoenix
Sponsors: Yulha Sherpa College for the Deaf, Khamdo Electronics, Kinetik Energy Drinks, Prana, Srivatsa Solar, Highland Tire, Petrohan, TMW

Background:

Tsering Chu and her friend Mendok Sherpa started the Yulha Sherpa College NSSCRA team in season 7, but she took seasons 8 and 9 off to finish her degree and have a kid. When Tsering returned in season 10, she struggled to get back into the swing of things and did not make the Chase -- but she bounced back in season 11 and made it all the way to the final 4. She is coming off the best season of her career, and she is hoping to keep that momentum going into season 12.

Chu is nerdy and shy, and she has sometimes struggled to cope with her fame. She is Deaf, and her disability makes it more difficult to socialize. However, she is very appreciative when people do make the extra effort to get to know her. She is usually a kind and gentle person, but you might be in for a rude awakening if you mistake her gentleness for weakness. She's tougher than she looks -- both on and off the track.

She has a custom-made system to communicate with her crew during races, since the usual radio chatter would not work.

She is married to Kai Qiang, a fellow racer, and she chose the number #43 so she would be able to park next to his #44. She's very protective of him, even though Qiang is not the easiest person to deal with. They have two daughters named Kami and Sima.

Lhakpa-TMW, aka Wednesday Racing, is backed by wealthy industrialist Dawa Sherpa and car manufacturer TMW.

Wednesday Racing has existed as an open wheel racing team for several years, but only recently decided to team up with TMW and branch out into NSSCRA. Dawa Sherpa named the team after his daughter Lhakpa, but some media sources translate "Lhakpa" as if it was a word instead of a person's name. Lhakpa can be translated as "Mercury" or "Wednesday" -- and you may see both translations depending on what language you read your NSSCRA coverage in.

The combined Wednesday Racing and TMW team is called "Lhakpa-Tsang" in the original Sherpa, "水星藏" (Shuixing-Zang) or "水星藏队" in Beihua's Chinese-language NSSCRA coverage. Domestic English-language media will probably stick with "Wednesday Racing" or "Wednesday TMW" -- but international media may use other variations.

The team owner Dawa Sherpa made his fortune in the farm machinery business, and you might see Dawa Tractor Company offering hay rides as a fan activity or just a fun way to get around at NSSCRA tracks.

TMW is one of the Sherpa Empire's largest car companies, and they are known for making practical utilitarian cars.

Image
Kai Qiang (强凯)

Age: 30
Hometown: Guilin, Guangxi Territory
Car: TMW Phoenix
Sponsors: TMW, Dawa Tractor Company, Guangxi Telecom, Westlake Tea, Prana, Srivatsa Solar, Auntie Shang's Fish Cakes, Highland Tire, Petrohan

Background:

That's right, folks, Kai Qiang is 30! Maybe now he'll start acting like an adult instead of a moody teenager... Or maybe not.

Qiang is from a poor farming family, but caught a lucky break when he was able to compete in NSSCRA 6, with some financial help from his friend Lakpa Fang. (Fang is a mediocre IRACT driver, but he is better-known for his baseball career where he was a brilliant closer for the Guilin Pangolins and the Sherpa national team.)

Qiang is generally regarded as the best stock car driver in the Sherpa Empire, although there is room to debate whether that reputation is deserved. Tsering can certainly give him a run for his money. He thinks he got too cocky toward the end of season 11 and he needs to be more careful not to let his success and his fame go to his head.

He's erratic, moody, and not very well-adjusted because he went through a lot of traumatic experiences when he was younger. His mother died in childbirth giving birth to his sister, and his father was killed in a construction accident. After his parents died, Qiang dropped out of high school so he could work to support himself, his girlfriend left him, and he had a very difficult time adapting to adult responsibilities at such a young age. Even though he is successful now, he still has a lot of psychological baggage, a lot of impostor syndrome and survivor guilt and resentment.

Qiang is a member of the Maoist political party Qianhuadang, and he sometimes has a hard time reconciling his personal wealth and his left-wing political views.

He is married to Tsering Chu and Mendok Sherpa, the two friends who started the NSSCRA team at Yulha Sherpa College. Tsering is his favorite, but he already had a daughter with Mendok by the time he figured that out, so all three of them wound up settling down together. In the past, Mendok has mostly stayed home in Guilin rather than traveling around the NSSCRA circuit, but this season she will be traveling with Qiang. She is taking some time off from work to recuperate after suffering a miscarriage and being on the front lines of the coronavirus pandemic in Wuchang. Mendok is loud, pushy, and raunchy by nature -- but she has been in a more somber mood since she came back from Wuchang.

This blog was written by Derrick Carlisle, Jaguar Racing's Social Media Manager

A new season, the same old JR - or is it? We're up to six now and as we make our glorious return, with 2 weekends back home to enjoy, we look to try and claim the Cup Series crown for the very first time. Team Blue and HM will be our main targets this time around and I, Derrick Carlisle of the Zone of Chaos, hope that this season was just as good as the last...if not better! May the odds be ever in your favor and let the games begin!

"ÍSFRÚIN" HARPA GYLFISDÓTTIR

Age: 30
Place of Birth: Nýttheimili, NAU Zone
twii.tur @: @IsfruinJR
Managing Style: Straight And To The Point, Not Afraid To Make A Statement If Required
NSSCRA 11 Record: Certainly A Building Year, Lots Of Wins To Talk About!
Favourite TJUN Rep: Froslass (Faroe Islands/FRO)
Favourite TJUN-Tunes Song: Gorillaz - Charger (feat. Grace Jones)

Nýttheimili in the Island of Europa is quaint and small but has produced two siblings who have certainly represented the town and all of TJUN-ia with pride. The first is Harold Gylfisson, TJUN-ia's No.1 Goalkeeper and a name everyone knew. He's a wall in the net when he wants to be and has been through a lot in his journey to the top. At the beginning of NSSCRA 9, no one but a few knew of his sister - Harpa Gylfisdóttir, who was a supervisor on the MRO's Board of Directors at the time and one of the few people who helped greenlit the creation of JR itself. During the first half of our debut season, she just did her job and worked in Peninsula for the company she loved but after the race after TJUN-ia first home one, she got a phone call that would throw Ísfrúin into the spotlight.

Her predecessor, the man known as Daniel Marx, made a critical error. His great friend, now former Team Blue Manger Chet Byrd, had referred to a female driver (probably Liangmei Li) as a dumpling whilst under the influence (thanks in no part to TJUN-ia's Free Alcohol policy). In an attempt to heal the wounds the weekend after, in Jebslund, he sent a hamper of leftovers from Jungle Fever to Team Blue including the most shocking food item of all: dumplings. Happiloper's Taylor Henderson found them and unleashed a world of pain on twii.tur that would eventually catch the attention of the MRO and Marx would get the axe. The MRO wanted to find someone new for the position who could represent a JR who would never stoop that low again, and what better person than a woman?

Last season was all about trying to build upon what came before and you could certainly say that it was good for her and JR as a whole. Six different drivers took to the track for her in the Cup Series, with all 5 of her drivers joined by Rumble winner Batu Tüvshinbayar - who is now the WGP2 Champion, of course. JR found themselves on top of the podium six times across the season in both series, with all three of those winners getting involved in chance action. But now comes an interesting season with both Team Blue and the newly-formed HM, Daniel Marx and all, as the team's rivals this time around...and she will certainly hope to get JR further up the pecking order.

DERRICK CARLISLE

Age: 26
Place of Birth: Riverside, JagBase TJUN-ia
twii.tur @: @JagRacing (team) or @DCarJR (personal)
Blogging Style: Tries To Get As Much Down As Possible, Really Good (In My Opinion)
NSSCRA 11 Record: Got Into A Fight, The Usual With MemeWatch And MOTR As Well!
Favourite TJUN Rep: Bisharp (United Arab Emirates/UAE)
Favourite TJUN-Tunes Song: Disciples - On My Mind

Ah yes, me! The Derrick Carlisle, the man who writes all the blogs for JR (including this one right now) is back at it again for another season!

Riverside is only known for two things in the eyes of TJUN-ia: the AstroCourts, home of the TFT, and the Unity Center, Home of the BFT. Tennis and basketball - what a combination. I joined JR back at the beginning with limited experience in writing blogs and if think you can see that in my first few posts but as the season went on, I became more confident as a writer and more confident as a person. I certainly have shaped the history of this team, as anything I say was surely looked at by Gil Archer and it was my question that brought Alfonso's secret out of the closet.

I introduced myself to you all when Harpa came in as Manager and she has certainly changed a lot of things for me. She saw the full importance of having a good public image and encouraged me to fully express myself both on this blog and online, through JR's social channels and my own (which you can see a few lines up, by the way). That certainly helped me to become a more open personality during NSSCRA X, not shy about stating something important when required - even if that caused conflict with other personalities in this sport. For this upcoming season, I will continue to push JR's business in this series - while also trying to make you laugh! With both the MemeWatch list and Music Of The Round back for a second time, you can certainly expect me to try and entertain all of your senses here in NSSCRA 12...hopefully without another fight with Drake or someone like that, I don't need another fistfight, please? Please?

#07 MICHAEL STEFAN

Age: 23
Place of Birth: Studtgraff, NAU Zone
twii.tur @: @Stefan07
Driving Style: Consistent Aggression (A Mark From His Open-Wheel Days)
NSSCRA 11 Record: 9th (3247CPts/3 Wins/Chase Top 12)
Overall Win Count: 5
Favourite TJUN Rep: Ludwig von Koopa (Germany/GER)
Favourite TJUN-Tunes Song: Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody

The most famous son of Studtgraff and the German community as a whole, Michael Stefan would probably have gone to the WGPC if he hadn't made the switch to stock-car just before the formation of JR. He had a real talent in the open-wheel junior categories he took part in and might have joined Lane Carter in the hunt for a seat, but he decided the best move for him would be in stock cars and NSSRCA specifically. He felt back then that the vision of Jaguar Racing, then under the MRO and Daniel Marx, was something that he could build and turn into a powerhouse - he knew transitioning to stock cars would be a challenge, but he was willing to take it on. Michael Stefan did a Drake Stevenson but without any WGP experience and you could say he reaped the rewards, too.

That first season was one he would never forget, exceeding all expectations in every way. He started slow, as the team did as a whole, but once he got the ball rolling in that #00 car, he was certainly up there with the best of them. That win in Bolgano will be remembered by many for a long time, especially by Stefan. It was good all around and he never felt so happy before in his life. He could still remember the tears of joy he unleashed on the podium during the playing of "The Rivers and Seas". He may have not made the playoffs after that, but to even be in the conversation at all was considered by many to be a success. A pole came in one race and a podium on the last race, as Jeremiah Brooke celebrated his title. It was certainly a great season for the #00 and as he switched to #07 for this season, he hoped to continue the good vibes into the future.

The "Win And You're In" nature of the sport from NSSCRA X onwards has certainly been to Stefan's benefit thus far and after getting a win and Top 12 in X, NSSCRA 11 would be his greatest season so far as he took 3 wins, including a very special TJUN 600, on route to...Top 12 again. He certainly felt that elimination harder than he did last season, as we all know, but the guy took solace in the fact that he's only 23 now - he will have many chances to claim a higher seat in the order. This time, he will hope to keep fighting and keep winning to try and finally break Top 8.

#64 ALFONSO MERCADO

Age: 21
Place of Birth: San Pedro del Vasquez, UAC Zone
twii.tur @: @AM64
Driving Style: With Youthfulness and Ability (i.e. He's Pretty Good!)
NSSCRA 11 Record: 21st (768pts)
Overall Win Count: 0 (but hopeful...)
Favourite TJUN Rep: Miles "Tails" Prower (Spain/ESP)
Favourite TJUN-Tunes Song: Years & Years - Palo Santo

Alfonso Mercado was born to ride these sorts of cars. He had a fascination with stock-car racing as a child, always wanting to watch highlights of racing all around the world. As soon as NSSCRA came back for its 6th season, he wanted to be up there with the rest of them and competed in junior categories across TJUN-ia for the UAC. You don't get much out of the UAC in terms of sport, but Alfonso hoped to lead the charge as a boy-turn-man from the 2nd city of the region (behind only Carlandas). He produced good enough performances to get the nod to join JR for the new season, a dream realised in an instant, and you can say no one had a more eventful debut season without a win than the man from San Pedro del Vasquez.

Staring without a charter was hard at the beginning, always not doing enough to make the race and having to watch Michael drive on his own on Sundays. He had his first big break in Ruwani, Banija and you might say it was uphill from there. Once he got to grips with qualifying, his performances improved from race to race and he was certainly a master of getting into the race before he got the charter before that season's end. He might not have had the successes that Michael achieved, but Mercado's debut season was certainly good for someone with no charter from the off.

Of course, the most memorable moment for Alfonso happened off the track. Gil Archer had hated JR for unknown reasons and it was young Mercado who duelled with him the most on track. He felt that it would be just something to do during the racing, to defend JR's and TJUN-ia's honour on the track, but it got real once Mercado's personal life was thrown into the mix. You may all know the story by now, as he explained a lot to the Rainbow Jags a month or so after the season ended: Jungle Fever, the realisation, Stefan's win in Bolgano, the hug, the moment on live TV he stared at his teammate, the talk with Harpa in Hampton Island and, most importantly, Gil's twii that started a rumour and Mercado's response that confirmed it. Alfonso Mercado was gay and, most shockingly of all, he had feelings for Michael Stefan. It became headline news across the International Community, especially back in his home town. TJUN-ia was shocked but very supportive of him, cursing Gil Archer's name for dragging the young man out of the closet no matter how intentional it was. The outpour of support was so strong and the venom towards that Fleftic man so vile, that his name was etched into the TJUN-ian English Dictionary for all to see. Gil will forever be used as another word for "snitch", which he may take as a compliment, and TJUN-ia will never forget the actions of that man.

For Season X, Alfonso worked on his qualifying and was certainly consistent out there, qualifying for most of the races during the season and getting as many points as he could along the way. While his point tally wasn't as impressive, it was still brilliant enough to be considered the best non-charter driver over the entire season. Last season, he finally had the backing of a full charter for the first time and while he may have been disappointed to not be at the level his boyfriend was producing every week, 21st overall is certainly nothing to sniff at. As the only Cup Driver for JR without any win at all in the NSSCRA, Mercado will be hoping to break this curse and try to get closer to the Chase than ever before.

#03 MADDISON RILEY-JONES

Age: 22
Place of Birth: Wollongmatta Bay, UO Zone
twii.tur @: @MaddyRJ03
Driving Style: Fun On The Outside, Determination Within! (i.e. She's Fun To Talk To, But You Don't Want To Cross Her On The Track!)
NSSCRA 11 Record: 25th (684pts/2nd in ROTS)
Overall Win Count: 3 (T2)
Favourite TJUN Rep: Sticks the Badger (Australia/AUS)
Favourite TJUN-Tunes Song: Men At Work - Down Under

After NSSCRA 9 ended in Tundra Falls, with the confetti being swept from the floor and the many hangovers in Saint Kanye still strong, Ísfrúin produced an end-of-season statement with 2 simple facts for NSSRCA X: The 3rd car was coming and the rumours of a Tier 2 Series would be explored, just in case. As it would turn out, Tier 2 was indeed on the way and Harpa decided to make an executive decision about the matter: Michael and Alfonso would remain in Tier 1 no matter what, leaving the 3rd car to be deferred to Tier 2 to be used as development for one of TJUN-ia's rising stars. Thus, on a cold day at Peninsula's Jungle Circuit, JR invited a few faces to test drive the Darts and one name was the top dog: Maddison Riley-Jones.

Hailing from Wollongmatta Bay in the UO Zone (which is just the Manufano Islands), Maddy (as she prefers to be called) is from those same junior categories that Alfonso Mercado hailed from and she was pretty good at them, too. She may have felt forgotten about after JR chose the man from San Pedro del Vasquez over her, because she then produced one of the most dominant performances in the history of junior motorsports, winning 9 of the 18 races that season and cruising to the title with no remorse. It would be shocking if she didn't turn up to that test strong and it was that drive that caught Harpa's eye. She always wanted to have more female representation in TJUN-ian sports, whose current crop of talent, back then, you can name on one hand (though things have improved since with the introduction of the Equal Genders Act). Female drivers in particular were rare in this part of the world so to have one with the talent she had was certainly a plus for Ísfrúin.

Maddy has always been more of a shy person at heart. She may be loud and boisterous when she's racing but once she's out of the car, she shuts down and rarely talks to people she doesn't know. She's kind in heart and an absolute blast as a person, but she can be silent off track and a nuisance on it. She had many admirers on social media entering the debut campaign, with some seeing her as a weird mash-up between the determined Valentina Spetsova (2-time Grand Slam Champion in the NSTT) and the shy guy Lane Carter of WGPC fame. Many questioned how she'd get on in the first-ever Tier 2 season, but she's certainly felt up for the challenge back then.

To say she met the challenge head-on would be a huge understatement as Maddy got used to international racing pretty quickly with a win on the very first Saturday of the season. That secured her a spot in the Chase that followed and she would certainly take advantage of the format, winning two more races on route to the Final 4 in Tundra Falls. That weekend would turn out to be pretty historic for her as a 4th-placed finish was enough for her to become an instant star: the first-ever Everlong Contenders Champion, TJUN-ia's first-ever Champion in NSSCRA (and Motorsports in general) and an automatic entry into the TJUN-ian Hall of Fame, an honour she only shares with 3 players from the NSTT (Spetsova, Austin McDanielson and Jean van de Kloor). It certainly was beautiful to see her rise that quickly, especially with the help of two friends she made along the way: her idol in Thea Alvarez and someone I will mention in a bit.

Her debut campaign certainly had some highs and some lows from starting without a charter, but claiming 25th and 2nd in the Rookie of the Season battle was certainly a good stepping stone to build on for this upcoming season. With a confirmed charter in hand from the off this time, Maddy will hope to try and get as close to the two boys as possible here in the Cup - while, at the same time, getting as close as possible to outright supporting #97 from the sidelines.

#97 ROBIN DRAGONOVIC

Age: 24
Place of Birth: Trunskt, South Newlandia (now resides in Wollongmatta Bay, UO Zone)
twii.tur @: @RD97SNL
Driving Style: Certainly Has Talent, But Is Humble With A Capital H.
NSSCRA 11 Record: 5th (4106CPts/2 Wins/Everlong Chase Top 8 )/ 63rd in T1 (18pts)
Overall Win Count: 3
Favourite TJUN Rep: IDK If He Knows What This Is...
Favourite TJUN-Tunes Song: Same Here...

Robin Dragonovic is a relatively unassuming person from Trunkst on the northern coast of South Newlandia. He is smaller than average, has dark hair and green eyes, and is also the first South Newlandian NSSCRA driver. Robin grew up quite sheltered in the nicer parts of Trunkst. Throughout most of his life, he never really lacked anything at all, and his parents were able to afford everything the only child could ever want. His mother, a dentist, stayed at home to raise him, and he saw his father, a local politician, as often as he could. Throughout his childhood, Robin tried many different sports and even played for the U13-team of the Trunkst CFT at one point, but there was one thing he always wanted to do more than anything. Robin wanted to drive, he wanted to race, and he wanted to be good at it. And so, the talented young boy did. Eventually, he became better at things, while also keeping fairly high grades. After finishing the South Newlandian version of High School, he attended the Newport Politics Institute, hoping to build up a career in politics like his father.

While he continued to race cars in his free time, he found it more and more difficult to find any competition at all. There are typically no stock car races in South Newlandia, and there was not much else to do for him. It was his father, Greg, who gave him the contact to the Health Minister, also responsible for sports, and encouraged him to ask about potential participation in NSSCRA. When Robin arrived in Elephant Valley to speak to the minister, he was scared that he might be laughed out of the room. The opposite happened, and he was not only able to get a place in the second tier of NSSCRA, but the aide that took responsibility for the plan even managed to get Sun City Speedway, all the way across the country for Robin, to get a place in the racing schedule for that season. Robin would later find out that that particular aide was a big fan of stock car racing.

Most people agree that Robin is one of the most polite and friendly people they’d ever met, but he entered NSSCRA X quite shy and certainly humble about his prospects for NSSCRA X. His most famous quote from this time came in an interview about the new series: “Mostly, I am just planning to have some fun. Maybe meet some interesting people or something”.

That quote certainly looks interesting now looking back. The South Newlandian had an interesting season overall with the main highlight being a wacky win at the wet Roval race in the Appalachian Nation. While he just about missed the cut for the Top 12 in the end, he was certainly up there throughout the season a good representative for his people in the inaugural Contenders Series, despite the hospitalisation of his mother mid-season bringing him tons of sympathy. So why on earth are we talking about this guy in the first place then? Maddison Riley-Jones. That is why we are talking about Robin Dragonovic.

You see, Maddy sought out Mr Dragonovic as a friend after seeing him in a bit of a distraught and lonely mood early on in the season. They got along pretty well, to the surprise of many, but I guess that is to be expected when two nervous souls engage in conversation. A sort of respect formed between the two of them and they would certainly share their experiences - so much so that fans in Saint Kanye started referring to them as the "Stacemiah of the Everlong". Their bond became so strong that, when he admitted that South Newlandia was pretty uninterested in this sport and his future may be at risk, Maddy threw a request to Harpa herself asking for support for him in some way.

The deal agreed between the parties was very simple: Robin's #97 team, including the personnel, would be bought out by JR, securing him a drive in the Contenders for next season, in exchange for Maddy's deserved promotion to the Cup Series. That move included him moving himself to an apartment in Wollongmatta Bay, where Maddy is based and where the Race of Oceania is held - the closest he'll now get to a "home race" for the South Newlandian. His debut season at JR was certainly a turn up for the books, defending our T2 crown with pride with 2 wins (including the NGADM 500 - that was an emotional day) and the first driver out before the Championship 4 in the Everlong Contenders. He also made it official with Maddy, so that's certainly something. This time around, he will hope to try and to get to the Championship 4 and reclaim Maddy's throne...while also knowing he will be pushed by his two teammates in the 2nd tier.

#96 ALICE JEPKOSGEI

Age: 19
Place of Birth: Jiji la Ngao (a.k.a. Shield City), AU Zone
twii.tur @: @AJ98
Driving Style: This Young Lady Has Pride On Her Side, As Well As A Bit Of Attitude!
NSSCRA 11 Record: 13th (2251CPts/1 Win/Everlong Chase Top 16)/76th (12pts)
Overall Win Count: 1
Favourite TJUN Rep: Sableye (Kenya/KEN)
Favourite TJUN-Tunes Song: Benny Cristo - omaga

Despite the unexpected arrival of Robin Dragonovic, the plan of JR was always to have two cars in the Contenders Series for its 2nd edition, boosting its commitment to developing the series and the next generation of TJUN-ian stars. But the question of who would become the 5th driver of JR in its current form was certainly up in the air heading into the offseason. Stefan and Mercado were non-negotiable in Season 9 while Maddie's inclusion was pretty much obvious after that trial day in Peninsula before Season X, but this decision felt tough for Harpa to make given how close everyone else appeared to be. So, with the feeling of history in the winter air, the 2nd Peninsula Trial was convened and, out of the 12 who attended, the winner of the day was someone seen as a rank outsider (though she wouldn't see herself as such): Alice Jepkosgei.

Hailing from Jiji la Ngao, or the Sheild City in English, Alice is the latest of athletes from the AU Zone looking to make a name for herself in TJUN-ian sports. From Kepo Ulawaya to Jean van de Kloor and everyone in between, this region is known for producing great sportsmen and women - but not really from Jiji la Ngao in particular, which is surprising considering the Kenyan influences of the whole city. Another favourite of the TJUN-ian junior categories, Alice may not have shined through the pack as much as Mercado and Riley-Jones did in their time, but many fans who follow the pipeline did believe she had the potential to succeed here at JR.

But who exactly is Alice Jepkosgei as a person? Well, you can think of her as TJUN-ia's answer to Taylor Henderson - brilliant on track, but not afraid to speak her mind on her opposition out there. If you're looking for a TJUN-ian most likely to be featured on the NSSCRA equivalent of "Radioactive", then Jepkosgei is the one to keep your ears pointed to in the Everlong this season. She's also known for having a bit of an attitude down in the junior category, seeing herself as having the talent to beat anyone on her day. She entered last season as defacto #2 to Dragonovic but certainly showed off her talents to a wider audience, sneaking into the Chase before winning her first race late on. Now, she'll be hoping to build upon her form to try and mount a better challenge towards the Everlong Chase - while also providing essential support to the driver with #70...someone she knows all too well by now.

#70 GONGMING GAO

Age: 26-ish
Place of Birth: Lanzhou, The Northern Chinese Republic (now resides in Tiankong, CEA Zone with weekends in Jiji la Ngao, AU Zone)
twii.tur @: @GG70
Driving Style: Was Just About There For Beiyang, Now Has To Fight Despite Everything Around Him
NSSCRA 11 Record: 32nd in T1 (510pts/Seemed Unlucky At Most Points)
Overall Win Count: 0
Favourite TJUN Rep: I Don't Think He Cares About This.
Favourite TJUN-Tunes Song: Or This TBH.

Now then, I can already here the many different feelings of all of our audience as we arrive at this point in the preview. You may feel conflicted in a way. On one hand, Gongming Gao is a driver who should be in this sport and certainly has the talent to compete here - but how did he end up at JR? Why isn't here with Beiyang...or in North China at all? What even happened to Beiyang? And, better yet..is he even OK?

OK, let's all slow down first and talk about Gao Gongming as a person before we get into everything else - you know, the usual procedure of a post like this. Gao originally hails from Lanzhou in The Northern Chinese Republic, a city known for some great noodle soup and poor air quality, and while he wasn't exactly setting the Chinese racing scene on fire, he had the ambition that caught Baiyang's eye and sent him on his way to NSSCRA. His time at Beiyang was...up and down, to say the least, as he had moments of brilliance, but always found himself either having his car break down in him or his efforts being outshone by teammates or by the Sherpa drivers. It certainly felt like no matter what he did, he would always end up in the shadows...and then AJ, and the situation back home, happened.

You see, AJ and Gao ended up getting close...like, real close, during the course of last season - bonding through anti-racism messages and The Wandering Dragon in Peninsula. They just seemed to gravitate towards each other, one way or another, and they planned on taking a road trip to Jiji la Ngao to see the sights of where AJ grew up. They certainly saw all of the sights, including the Circle of the Earth and all that...but then came news from afar. The North Chinese government had entered a very hard lockdown due to a virus. Suddenly, Gao was now trapped in TJUN-ia with no way of getting home to his family - a family who certainly didn't like him hanging out with a black Muslim woman.

Immediately, the gears were put into motion for an unexpected scenario to play out. Gao would race for JR now, under the TJUN-ian flag after receiving a Humanitarian Visa from the Secretary-General himself, with a new team of mechanics mostly hailing from the Chinese Cities of the CEA. He was officially given an apartment in Tiankong, the CEA Capital, to find his feet, but he's also well known now for taking the train to the Shield City to spend his non-racing weekends with AJ. Now, he will return to the NSSCRA as a T2 driver unable to return to his homeland - everyone here certainly sympathises with him about that. He will have to carry on with only his phone as a link to his homeland but no matter what (and with everyone by his side), Gao will look to keep calm and carry on no matter what...

Rinzi was getting suited up for practice when he was interrupted by a kerfuffle in the garage. He could hear Tashi talking to someone in English, and the other person seemed to be agitated about something.

Rinzi went to see what the fuss was about and he found a Mayhem representative gesticulating at the car and saying something about the paintjob. He tried listening for a moment, but the Mayhem rep was talking too quickly and Rinzi's English was not good enough to follow the conversation.

"He says there is a problem with the paintjob," Tashi explained in Sherpa. She pointed to a round shape near the bottom edge of Mayhem's logo. "This is not supposed to be on the car."

"So why did they put it there?" Rinzi asked.

"Because they told us to," said the crewmember who had painted the car. He picked up his laptop and pointed to an image on the screen. "You see this? This is the logo they told us to use."

Tashi pointed to a dot on the screen and explained, "They are saying this is not supposed to be part of the logo."

"So why is it there?"

"Those are color swatches!" the Mayhem rep interjected in English.

There was some additional fussing, and Rinzi's team assured the Mayhem people that it would be corrected in time for the Tundra Falls 500. Rinzi was very embarrassed about the whole thing and he hoped it wouldn't damage his relationship with Mayhem. They were one of his best sponsorships, along with AutoModi. They paid reliably and he enjoyed appearing in their ads.

Tashi tried to reassure him before he went out on the track. "I'm sure it will be fine," she said. "Mistakes happen."

Napoleon Bonaparte was walking down the line of haulers accompanied by his marshals Berthier, Murat, Massena, and Lannes. They were all decked out in their best dress uniforms, with swords and medals clanking as they walked. They saw some people pointing and gawking, visibly impressed by their appearance. Other people scrunched up their faces in disgust, impressed by the Frenchmen's 19th century hygiene (and the resulting smell).

The five men looked around, sizing up their competition. "These people would not last five minutes on a battlefield," Lannes opined.

"We are not on a battlefield," said Berthier. "Racing cars takes a different kind of courage."

"Courage is courage," said Murat. "It does not matter what challenge you are facing!"

Lannes noticed Ashley Matthews getting ready to hit the track and said, "Is this a joke? We are racing against women?"

"Murat, you did not tell us you wanted to race against women and Chinamen," Napoleon said.

Meanwhile, Massena had caught a glimpse of Thea Alvarez's fiery red hair and immediately lost all interest in whatever the others were talking about. He walked over to the #46 hauler to introduce himself with a formal bow and his best seductive smile. "Bonjour Mademoiselle..." He explained who he was, complimented Thea on her looks, and said he was delighted to meet her -- all in French without thinking to ask if she knew the language.

The Raceway in Buckridge, Buckridge, Hapilopper
Two weeks before leaving for Newmanistan
Preston Autos had set up a test session for their HASCAR and NSSCRA teams a few weeks before the NSSCRA Multiversal Cup Series started their season in Tundra Falls, at a track very similar to this track, the old three-mile, high-banked tri-oval in Buckridge. A cynical eye would consider this an excuse to get Team Blue some extra test time with other cars on a track, just to see how well the new Super Skychief drafted. But Preston was concerned about the Super Skychief’s superspeedway package and wanted to see just how well it could work.

For much of the day, somewhere between 20-30 cars were on track, running in a huge snarling pack throughout the three-mile oval, as Team Blue’s drivers, Preston HASCAR drivers as well as some local short track drivers all jockeyed for position on the track. Many of the drivers logged hundreds of miles running in a large pack, allowing themselves and Preston Autos the opportunity to figure out how the Super Skychief would work on these huge speedways.

For Drake Stevenson, Taylor Henderson and Chris Holmes, it was the first time in several months that the three had driven on a superspeedway. The three had taken to the Hapilopper City Raceway, the one-mile banked oval, and a number of short tracks around Hapilopper City in an effort to get ready for the season, but they had not run a lot of laps on the superspeedways. At first, as the morning broke, the three were uncomfortable running in the huge pack of cars. But familiarity cast discomfort aside, and before long, the three felt like they could make moves among the pack of cars.

The three started in the back of the pack, with their cars sounding a little bit different from the others. Team Blue, along with Preston’s R&D department, had decided to try out a different style of headers on the engines, which produced a different sound. The cars still had the same small-block, 355-cubic inch V8 engines, but the sound coming from them resembled a four-cylinder hornet. The sound resembled the way some HASCAR cars sounded like back in the early-80s. Team Blue staffers figured it could give the team some extra horsepower, which they figured they badly needed coming into the coming season.

Besides, they reasoned, they weren’t living in a bubble. Teams like Gale Force, the Valentians, Vilita and Turori, Jaguar, Team Tropicorp and the Sherpa teams had to have been working overtime in the shop during the offseason trying to find some extra horsepower to get past Team Blue. They had to find an advantage that the other teams weren’t counting on. The new headers made the Team Blue V8s sound like angry farting hornets, but the drivers could get used to the sound if it meant extra horsepower.

With this extra power, the Team Blue three found moving through the pack to be quite easy, and by the midway point of the session, the three Team Blue drivers led the pack, turning some ridiculously quick speeds in the process. Team Blue and Preston staffers looked excited at what was going on, as the buzzing Team Blue Super Skychiefs led the group. It seemed like the team was going to be tough to beat when they got to Tundra Falls in advance of the season.

But then, something went wrong. Badly wrong. Drake Stevenson was leading the pack, Taylor Henderson was 2nd, and Chris Holmes was third. Chris later said he was a little bit nervous about the way Taylor was closing in to give Drake a bump-draft. He figured something was about to go badly wrong, and it did, coming out of turn two and onto the backstraight. Taylor hit Drake at exactly the wrong angle, as the leading cars were well above that 200 mph barrier.

Drake didn’t realize what was going on until it was too late. The car lost control, and then before he knew it, he could hear the engine cut out. The sound of the wind passing the car was all that he could hear, and when he looked to the left, he could see the cars seemingly traveling down. When he looked straight, all he saw was grass. His eyes went wide, realizing that was about to happen was going to suck.

He looked to the left just in time to see the grass coming in really quick. The car was about to land on the driver’s side, and the worst was yet to come. The car slammed down on the ground hard, before rolling over, side-over-side, in one of the most sickening displays of an automobile destroying itself witnessed in Hapiloppian sport. It seemed like forever, but it took about 25 seconds from the car taking flight to it stopping on the middle of the backstraight.

When it was over, it seemed like nothing was left. The bodywork had sheared itself away. The field of debris leading up to what used to be a race car made the scene resemble a plane crash. And sitting in the middle of the mess was Drake Stevenson, breathing heavily as he tried to calm himself down from what had been the worst accident of his career. The car was pointed at turn two, which let Drake see just the scope of the violence of the crash. Dirt and grass was everywhere, mixed in with the immense amount of debris produced from the Super Skychief disintegrating with the impacts on the crash.

Drake unbuckled and started to climb out from the car around the time safety crews arrived, but as he got there, he realized he needed to take a second to catch his breath. He leaned against the exposed rollbars of the car and took a breath as the emergency crews started to ask him the standard post-crash questions – what was your name, what day was it, where were you, and what just happened?

Drake looked at a safety crew member with a glassy look and gave his best answer.

“My name is Drake Stevenson, it’s a Wednesday afternoon in Buckridge and god damn it, my girlfriend just wrecked me.”

As Drake got into an ambulance, he thought about what he was going to say to Taylor when he got back, checked and released from the infield care center. A small part of him wanted to tell Taylor to go to hell and never come back. But that might not have been the right course of action.

That’s because Taylor had gone inside her hauler and refused to speak to anyone, visibly upset by what had happened. It was obvious she didn’t mean to wreck Drake. That was blindingly obvious, based on her reaction. She was scared to death that she had just killed her boyfriend, or at least badly injured him. There was no malicious intent, just a bump draft gone wrong, and as a result, Drake went for the ride of his life, the worst accident of his career.

When Drake got out of the infield care center, he was greeted by members of his crew, who informed him that Taylor wanted to speak to him privately, and that, yes, she was an absolute basket case having seen the accident. Drake walked over and saw her in tears. Any bit of anger he had went away, and he sat next to her, reassuring her that, yes, that was racing, and sometimes, shit happens.

Everyone was OK, but that was not the way Team Blue wanted to start the season, with a demolished superspeedway car and everyone’s nerves frayed.

UrGa Motorsports Division
Stock Car Department

Well, they tried, and they failed. Things looked like they had finally fallen into place for both Dinggu Wang and Urotovsky-Gatutin Motorsports when the former had won a race in the 11th season of the NationStates Stock Car Racing Association. However, despite the win securing Wang's place in the Chase and the Pharak driver being a consistent top 10 driver throughout the second half of the regular season, once the Chase actually came around, Wang lost most of the pace that he had shown previously and could not make it into the next round. Unsurprisingly, the board of the UrGa Motorsports Division decided that time was up for Wang, and he was unceremoniously let go despite the protestations of team principal Olga Semyonovna Gatutina, whose idea it was to hire Wang and make him the oldest NSSCRA champion on record.

Things also didn't turn out so well for one Guillermo Archer, who despite his own admitted attempts to stay out of the spotlight this time around just couldn't help but let his mouth run away from him once again and thus embroiled himself in yet another scandal that earned him even more contempt from the people who already didn't like him. Despite all this though, Archer had the gall to win another race, specifically the race right after his "racist incident," and he progressed to the next round of the Chase, where he would stay up until the last race of the Round of 8, when he was eliminated from the running by a poor finish at the Yoggy Oval. However, just as the race had ended, Archer collapsed in the garage area, necessitating a trip to the hospital where it was subsequently revealed by his family that he was suffering from a potentially career-ending and life-threatening undisclosed ailment. Archer is back in his hometown of Effelenendro City safe and sound now, but he has also made the momentous announcement that he is retiring from stock car racing effective this season, and although he may still make appearances in the NSSCRA circuit as a technical adviser to UrGa Stock Cars, fans will no longer be able to see him behind the wheel.

Thus begins the next chapter of UrGa's journey through the multiverse's premier stock car racing competition. UrGa has now been reduced to running two charters after the team's board of directors sold what was supposed to be Dinggu Wang's charter to UrGa's manufacturer rivals in the Abanhfleft Racing Truck Series, Duisdorf Motorworks. Two faces familiar to both NSSCRA and UrGa fans will drive for the team this season: Wilma von Cärinthen and Rustam Yudin. Cärinthen keeps her drive with the Multiversal team from last season, while Yudin has been promoted from the Everlong series up to the big boys to fill the seat of his manager-slash-mentor Archer. And speaking of the Everlong Series, Agata Kosaryova has been confirmed to stay there alongside yet another familiar face. Ganglie Zhe returns from a one-season break from NSSCRA, once again behind the wheel of a Luxur Byzant, but this time his drive is supported and partially funded by RouBax Racing Enterprises, owned by the Fleftic sporting power couple Leonidas Baxter and Alexandra Rousseau.

Secondary Sponsor: Belleza
Crew Chief: Deckard "Dec" Sullivan

Driving style: You go this way, and I go that way
Retaliation: Not right away, but if you're on course for a win in the last few laps and she's around you, don't expect to actually win unless you're really lucky

She's the only active driver in this UrGa Multiversal team left still searching for a win after Dinggu Wang claimed the checkered flag at Sankyoku, but it's really not for a lack of trying. Her fans will be quick to point out that Wilma has both the speed and the ability to grab a race win, if only the cards would fall in the right place. That seems to be the running theme for UrGa drivers this season, though: just one thing changed here or there and they would have won the race. But everyone knows that luck isn't everything in motorsports. Sure, luck is necessary for a few things to go her way, but Wilma knows that she also has to work hard and race hard to be in a position to take advantage of the opportunity should it finally come to her.

"This season is going to a very massive shake-up for the whole team. We've sold one of our charters to our rivals so there's only two of us left to fly the flag of Urotovsky-Gatutin here in NSSCRA, and we've also lost both our primary championship contender and one of the fastest drivers I've ever had the privilege of knowing. But I'm still hungry for that first win, and I'm also hungry for that title. I've got my eyes on you, Hendo. You can interpret that any way you like."

#39 - RUSTAM ILYICH "RUSTAM" YUDIN
Series: Multiversal Cup Series
Main Sponsor: Signbridge Industries
Secondary Sponsor: Mazetainment Games
Crew Chief: Oscar Abcede
Spotter: Paxton Ilishevsky
twii.tur: @39YudinRustamIlyich
Driving style: Fast and aggressive but mostly clean
Retaliation: Will never hit you intentionally but will defend his position to the death

There were rumors that a rift had developed between Rustam Yudin and his manager-slash-mentor Guillermo Archer when the former had lost ground in the previous season's Everlong Chase, and when Rustam had been eliminated from the Chase, it seemed as if the rift was complete. However, when Archer collapsed at the end of the Night Race at the Yoggy Oval, Rustam was one of the first to express their concern and well wishes to one of NSSCRA's most polarizing figures. Rustam was approached by UrGa to fill in for Archer for last year's Proving Grounds 500, and though he performed poorly in the final race of the season, once Archer announced his retirement from racing, UrGa approached Rustam with an offer to take over his boss's former ride. Rustam accepted even though he knew that he would have extremely big shoes to fill.

"I won't deny that Mr. Archer and I didn't get to see eye to eye about certain matters in the latter half of last season. We even got into an actual fight about it, but I regretted getting into that fight as soon as I had heard the news about him collapsing in Filindostan. So when the offer from UrGa to take over his ride came, I just had to accept it. It's a way for me to make up for what I had said to Mr. Archer last season. I just hope that it will be enough."

twii.tur: @G4shaKosary0
Driving style: Slow and steady wins the race (doesn't apply in real life though)
Retaliation: Not likely

She will never admit it, of course, but there seems to be some sort of pressure situation building up behind the scenes for Agata Kosaryova. It's no secret that she feels that she finally got the package that she deserved when Urotovsky-Gatutin officially entered a team into the Everlong Series, but despite that, that first NSSCRA win still eluded her. Even when she was being helped out by her now-former teammate Rustam Yudin, Gasha just couldn't find a way to cross the finish line before everyone else. Some of the more sharp-minded fans might have connected the downturn of Yudin's fortunes in the Chase and subsequent falling out with Guillermo Archer with his attempts to help Gasha get her first win, but of course nobody will say anything definitive. Better to keep it a mystery rather than admit or deny and spoil the fun for everyone else.

"New season, new teammate. I want to say that I'm looking forward to finally winning a race this season, but once again, it's going to be harder now that Rustam is competing in the Multversal series. But that doesn't mean that I don't like my new teammate Ganglie [Zhe]. In fact, I'm looking forward to driving with him this season. Hopefully, the two of us will be able to achieve what this team couldn't last season and get us both into the Chase."

Secondary Sponsor: Mykopi
Crew Chief: Samuel Villafort

twii.tur: @00gangliezhe
Driving style: Literally a beginner driver still finding his feet in this series
Retaliation: What does that mean?

Now here's a guy who's making a return to the multiverse's top stock car racing competition after a one-season absence. Ganglie Zhe's first season in NSSCRA was meh, to say the least. Then again, what else can you expect from a guy who's literally in his first ever season as a professional racing driver? It also didn't help that Ganglie also had racing commitments in the Abanhfleft Racing Truck Series for 142 Racing, Leo Baxter's ARTS team, and that Ganglie was expected to help Dinggu Wang alongside Hossem Nasri, another quintessential "pay driver" who thankfully has seemingly found his proper level in AOCAR. Now though, Ganglie is part of the UrGa-affiliated RouBax Racing Enterprises team competing in the Everlong Contenders' Series, and he does not have any other commitments in any other racing series. Perhaps this time Ganglie can finally show us all what he's got.

"The first time I was in NSSCRA, I was a rookie in literally every sense of the word. Now, I've got some experience with ARTS and some other series as well. Hopefully, I can call on that to help me out here. At least here in the Everlong series, I've got some elbow room to push myself and find my boundaries. I don't think I could have done that if I went straight into the Multiversal series. And I want to keep alive the legacy of Leo Baxter in this series."

Just because the checkered flag had already flown on the Proving Grounds 500 doesn't mean that racing is over for one Jeremiah Brooke, who spent those few short months between the eleventh and twelfth seasons of the NSSCRA Multiversal Cup Series mostly on the go. From the short tracks of his native St. Kanye, the dirt tracks of Hapilooper, the ice tracks of Aboveland and even the virtual tracks of the internet, Jeremiah found himself trying anything with an engine (and some without - yak racing in Sherpaland, anyone?) just to satisfy his need for speed. Sometimes he won, other times he didn't, but the important thing for him was that he was having fun and feeling alive and in his element.

Stacie Houston, Jeremiah's wife, was a little concerned, seeing as he had already missed several races in two separate seasons due to being involved in horrific crashes. "Don't worry about me, Stace - I'm doing my best to take care of myself," he said one day before leaving for a lawnmower race in Bishop Valley (which he would eventually finish fourth in). Jeremiah may be nice - every NSSCRA fan and their grandmother knows that - but he can also be stubborn, especially in matters like this, and Stacie knows it all too well. When she looked after him in the hospital following the crash in Sword Island, she found that the feeling of being sidelined hurt him way more than any broken bone ever did.

Admittedly, Stacie felt the same way, having missed the majority of last season due to pregnancy and only returning midway through the Chase to take her injured husband's place on the grid. Which is why when Gale Force Racing, the team formerly known as Glorious Free Republic Motorsports, offered to elevate her from replacement driver to full-timer, she didn't even think twice before putting paper to pen. GFR was one of the bigger teams in Multiversal, with lots of funding, topnotch equipment, crew members that were as competent as they were friendly, a racing philosophy that matched hers (hard but clean) .... not to mention, that dude in the #18 car looks rather cute, maybe she could tame him if they ever became teammates.

"Last one to the garage is a rotten Cocoabo!"

Jeremiah shouted at Stacie as they finished their early morning walk around the Proving Grounds in Newmanistan. The offseason came and went quickly, and once again it's qualifying day for the Exhibition, the unofficial start of the NSSCRA calendar.

"You're on!" Stacie yelled back. She too seemed like she was being possessed by the spirit of competition (what some people have personified and given the name "Margaret"), overcome with excitement of once again driving an advertisement in circles for twenty-seven Sundays in a row. But before that, before she could go setting her eyes on a shiny trophy or a wad of cash, there's one more challenge laid out for her, a footrace against her significant other for the simple glory of not being referred to as a decomposed tropical fowl. Stacie started to run, but she had not gone even a dozen feet when Jeremiah called out again, "Hey, is that Meghan Sharpe?"

Stacie turned to look, hoping to give her former Team Cassadaigua teammate a friendly wave and maybe invite her over later to catch up on things.

But there was no one there. It was just a distraction. By the time she realized she had fallen for one of the classic blunders, Jeremiah was nowhere to be found.

"Argh! You bastard! You.... handsome bastard!"

Jeremiah changed his pace from a mad dash to a leisurely stroll as he crossed the huge open door of the garage. "Morning, Thea," he said to his and Stacie's other teammate before grabbing a chair to sit on. "Morning," reciprocated Thea Alvarez, not looking up from painting her nails seafoam green (her favorite color, and also the color of her new sponsor Charisma Cosmetics, which she is part owner of). While the presence of the "Stacemiah" power couple turned GFR into the teams to watch out for, their third member is not to be overlooked either. Yes, Thea has never won a title, but she was in contention until the final race five times. And she's only 24 - there's still a lot in store for this young woman.

"Excited?" Jeremiah asked, hoping to strike up a conversation.

"Kinda. Little sad, but overall, I'm ready. You?"

"Yeah, I'm stoked. New season, new team name, new teammate, new competitors.... wait, sad? What's bothering you? If you don't mind me asking, that is."

"You know.... while I think it's nice to see new faces to race against, it sucks that some of the old faces won't be there as well. Not really sure what happened in the Filindo camp, but I'm gonna miss Hana and Fiona." Thea had formed a sort of "sisterhood" with Hana Bhe and Fiona Sunarya of Filindostan. They were supposed to be making their debut with their new teams, but unexpectedly had pulled out.

"Oh yeah, those two. I agree, they were nice. I'll miss Gil, too." Guillermo Archer was another no-show this season, as he saw his short but controversy-marked NSSCRA career come to an unexpected end due to illness. While hated by many for his antics, the Fleftic had a softer spot for those he trusted and/or held close, including fellow drivers. Jeremiah himself had no beef with the guy. Heck, they even played basketball together, and Gil was one of the first to congratulate him and Stacie on the birth of their son Jericho. "And Wang, even though never really talked to him much." Aside from Gil, UrGa also gave Dinggu Wang the boot after he once again failed on his quest to become the oldest champion ever.

Just then Stacie stormed into the garage. "That was a dirty move you pulled on me, Jeremiah Brooke!" She grabbed her husband from behind and started playfully punching his arm. "Cheat! Cheat! Cheat!" Thea, having finished her manicure, looked up and got confused at what was going on between the couple. "How dare you use Meghan Sharpe's name for your stupid little ruse?"

"Hey now, Meg actually is here, you know? She said on Twii.tur yesterday saying that she will come and watch the race, and especially you, curious to see how GFR will treat you. Alright?"

"Yeah, but she wasn't at the grounds earlier when we were having a walk, was she?"

"No, but..." Stacie punched Jeremiah's arm again. "Hey! HEY! This doesn't change the fact that you fell for it and lost, okay?"

"You still cheated though!"

"Listen, Stace, we'll be racing cars tomorrow, and the NSSCRA rules will start to apply then. Better get all the cheating out of your system before that happens."

"Looks like Bart Wheeler never got that memo," Thea said.

"There's one thing I swear I will never cheat on, though," Jeremiah told Stacie.

"What's that, Brooky?"

"You."

As the two former champions pulled each other into an embrace, Thea stood up and left for her own morning walk, hoping to ask the famed spirits of Tundra Falls for advice.

As the sun rose and the morning went on, more and more teams and drivers started arriving at the track. Jeremiah high fived Alfonso Mercado, fist bumped Gwen Oxton, and gave Taylor Henderson a "What up, champ?" Stacie visited her fellow Dagans Maddie Alexander and Jenna Logan, still with Team Tropicorp, and Ashley Matthews, picked up from AOCAR by Rocket Motorsports. Thea's spotter Naomi Hoff was deep in conversation with Kai Qiang's crew chief Houzhi Chang; Thea herself was just about to go finding her remaining gal pals when a strange man started to approach her.

The look on Thea's face was a mixture of amazement and disgust. The man, who looked old enough to be her dad, was wearing what appeared to be a very accurate cosplay of an army officer from centuries past (which she appreciated), but had an aroma so satanic that people were giving him a wide berth when he walked (which she surely didn't). And then, he started to speak.

"Bonjour Mademoiselle..."

"Um, hi...." Thea waved back. "Anything you need from me?" She wanted the encounter to be over quickly so she can go to her friends and hopefully breathe fresher air." The man continued talking, but it was all in French, which she didn't quite understand (except for when talking about desserts like creme brulee or mille-feuille). She had a translator app, but her phone was charging back at the garage. Eventually, after a couple of minutes of standing there blankly and trying not to throw up, Thea gestured that she really had to leave, and did so, backing away slowly. The man left too. Thankfully.

Later, as the four dozen Cup drivers were summoned to the track for the start of quals, the new and improved GFR trio got to meet Esmerelian rookie Ezekiel "Zeke" Rodger, driving for one of their technical allies, the single-car operation called Team ZR. "You run your own chop shop at just nineteen? That's impressive as hell, bro," Jeremiah spoke to the newcomer. "Yeah, we're bros now. We're not just a bunch of people you share engines and stuff with, alright?" The conversation continued for quite a while, until Zeke was called for his turn to set his lap times. "Good luck out there Zeke, If ever you need help with something...."

At Thea's insistence, Jeremiah held his breath as another of the old-timey soldier cosplayers walked by, then started breathing again once he had gone.

".... feel free to ask. Damn, what was that all about?"

Hei! Olemme Huuhkajat Moottoriurheilu, Kimi-Suomen kilpajoukkue! It seems like only yesterday when Kimi-Suomi made its sporting debut at WC89 and since then, this Finnish Nation in northern Atlantian Oceania has been building itself up as a nation that, at the very least, people have heard of. That is certainly a start...but our great leader, Keisari Kimi-Matias Räikkönen, wants more recognition from across this world and in order to do that, he felt as though there was only one option: motorsports.

The recently-created Kimi-Suomen Auto- ja Kilpaliitto (KSAjK for short) has been preparing to join the NSSCRA for the last year now and it certainly has done some work, recruiting two young stars of the future for the 2nd Tier while getting the services of this nation's motorsports GOAT for Tier 1 while also building the new Kimi Circuit in Kimi Kaupunki. That was done with the help of a certain man from JYK-inen and with another prospect from that land falling into our laps, the first-ever season for Huuhkajat Moottoriurheilu, HM for short, is set to be very interesting indeed.

POMO (The Boss) - Daniel Marx
Daniel Marx, or DM for short, is a figure many in his homeland by birth in JYK-inen (TJUN-ia to everyone else) will know all too well. One of the key figures in the formation of the MRO over there, Marx (aged 30) was chosen by the governing body to be the first team manager at Jaguar Racing and many would say he was doing a good job, getting everyone used to taking part in the sport and getting the team up for the future. But the game the now-infamous "DumplingGate" - where Chet Byrd, now long gone from the sport, made a comment at Jungle Fever I referring to Liangmei Li as a dumpling. That caused a lot of controversy, but what also did was Marx's attempt to apologise to Taylor Henderson, the most vocal of critics, by sending her the leftovers from JF1 - including some dumplings.

He never intended to send those dumplings and if he could go back in time, they would've been left out - but you cannot change what happened in the past and the fury Hendo three in his direction gave the MRO no choice but to let Marx go, not wanting the new team to be tainted by sexism before they've even managed to complete a single season. After that day, he stayed in the shadows in Riverside and avoided the public eye at all costs, wondering what could've been if he hadn't made that stupid mistake...but the itch of motorsports never went away despite the way he was forced out and when KSAjK were looking for someone to get HM up and running, the MRO (surprisingly for him) pointed in Marx's direction. Now, he's here to try and complete the job he couldn't do at JR and he will certainly be hoping to beat a few teams here in the field. He hopes to give Harpa a run for her money while also hoping for a good fight with Taylor - who's now the defending Queen of the sport.

NAAMIOITUNUT (The Disguised) - #38 Lam Chow-Cheung (林周翔)
Lam Chow-Cheung was never supposed to fly the flag of Kimi-Suomi at the NSSCRA level, but their appearance here is the result of a situation out of their or our control. Lam (aged 18) hails from Hongxai over in TJUN-ia's CEA Zone and showed a passion for motorsports from a very young age, initially supported by their parents and extended family. However, that would all change when LCC came out as non-binary to the world (ei-binäärinen in our native tongue, 非二进制 (Fēi èrjìnzhì) in theirs) - which means that while their preferred sex is unclear, they themself doesn't see themself as either male or female. They started using they/them as their preferred pronouns and wearing clothing many would describe as "androgynous", exhibiting nothing that would indicate they were a specific gender. But that didn't go down well with the family, who still called them "our boy" and kept calling them a disgrace to everything they believed in. They were swiftly disowned by the only people they really knew - an event so traumatic, they opted to wear a white mask over their face for the rest of that season...an act they still continue to do to this very day, the supposed dishonour still heavy on the shoulders.

Even after that, Lam refused to give up and became a force so strong that the CEA-MRO were practically singing their praises on a daily basis. With that much pressure, the MRO finally relented and gave Lam some big domestic races in Abanhfleft, Hapilopper and The Sherpa Empire to showcase their talents to the world. The plan always was that they would go to JR as driver #6 and hone their talents over there...but then Gongming Gao ended up stuck in TJUN-ia for reasons out of everyone's control and JR was stuck in a pickle, wanting to give Gao a drive but also wanting to give Lam a chance...so they called Marx. A deal was reached that benefited everyone: Lam would go to HM as the charter driver in exchange for HM receiving Dart cars and technical information from last season from JR. So that's how LCC ended up here in the cold...but hopefully, this damaged soul can blossom onto the flower they are destined to become under our watch.
Image

VUOHI (The Goat) - #71 Aurélia Karvonen
The term "Greatest Of All Time" gets thrown around plenty of times in the world of sport, given to those that both deserve and don't deserve the 4-letter moniker, but in terms of the history of motorsports in Kimi-Suomi, there is only one GOAT to talk about: Aurélia Karvonen.
Karvonen (aged 30) has been a constant across racing in the part of the world ever since her karting days at aged 15, long before we even got the idea to start competing in international events across the universe. She's done a lot of winning during her long career across a wide range of sporting categories. Moto, Rally, Stock, Open-Wheel, Endurance, GT, Trucks - you name it, she's done it and won a few races at that.

Naturally, when she heard the chance to race internationally for her homeland was on the table, she jumped at the opportunity and one year of experience in the AOGP series was deemed as enough for her to try and get into NSSCRA races as a non-charter. She's certainly very passionate about the sport and won't take shit from anyone, so expect our GOAT to make her mark whenever she can.
Image

RAUHALLINEN (The Quiet) - #07 Kaarina Salo
In order to assure that local talent can have their opportunity to shine in this new frontier, HM and Marx decided to send two cars to the Everlong Contenders Series - NSSCRA's 2nd Tier that develops the stars of tomorrow and is a good base to develop your stock-car skills without the pressure of being in the Cup Series. HM hand-picked two drivers who they felt could be prospects of the future, with different driving styles that will fully show what works and what does not in this multiversal sport.

Car #07 will be driven by Kaarina Salo, an 18-year-old prodigy some may argue could become as great as Karvonen if she can pull her weight and show her class. Salo is known in the racing circles as "Rauhallinen" - "The Quiet", due to her quiet tone in interviews and how she glides so gracefully around a track, it feels like a whisper in the wind. Putting a driver known for grace and elegance in a rugged sport like NSSCRA may seem counterintuitive, but sometimes it's not all about the driving style - it's about how you race against those around you. She certainly has a good pace in that regard, but whether that will translate to success here remains to be seen.
Image

MYRSKY (The Storm) - #7 Ilmari Pëkannen
In contrast to Salo, Car #7 will be driven by 22-year-old Ilmari Pëkannen, a driver who certainly has a bit of a reputation back home. "Myrsky" - "The Storm" - could be seen by outside observers as a "Finnish Drake Stevenson" - someone who's not afraid to push and shove on track and let his voice heard on the radio. Basically, if anyone's gonna challenge Drake for the Radio Sweetheart crown, it might be Pëkannen - and he might take that as a compliment overall. This series should be a natural fit for him and his style, but will he get a wake-up call at all in his quest for racing domination?

Rocket Motorsports- Season 12

Will this be the year? Not win a championship, but that we actually win a race and have a driver in the chase? In the modern era of NSSCRA, Newmanistan has only managed one win, and unfortunately that came during the chase, so it didn’t help us all that much. The last five seasons have seen the lack of sky blue race cars (unless someone else’s paint scheme) in victory lane. You can’t say that the team has not tried to get the people, signing Rockii Ezis when he was still considered a hot up and coming driver from Vilita and Turori. Ezis never panned out with the team, and did not do that much better driving for Filindostan last year. He will now be driving in the EverLong Series for Vilita and Turori, once again. With Ezis gone, the team did not renew with Cocabo for this season. That could change, but the company likely does not see much interest in sponsoring any of our vehicles any longer. Here are the drivers for Rocket Motorsports this year, which interestingly ended up being all female:

#5- Liangmei Li
Colors- Sky Blue with flag image on hood. White diagonal stripes along side. Black numbers.
Sponsor- “Rocket” (For Rocket Motorsports) will appear on the back bumper as well as on the sides.

Li is a former Chase driver and finalist, and came to Rocket Motorsports with visions of turning this team around. However, the driver from The Sherpa Empire could not turn our vehicles into winners right away, showing that even the best drivers need good equipment. Li has led laps at times, and periodically has turned in a strong race. There were points last season where it looked like she could actually be on the verge of getting us a win, but that would never pan out for the team. For now, it does not seem as though Li is losing patience with the team, but that could change after this season if she has more middle of the pack finishes. Li is very aggressive driver on the track, and some suggest that while that might have worked in The Sherpa Empire, that Rocket Motorsports would benefit from her being more conservative.

#24- Chelsea Taylor
Colors- Predominantly sky blue with a large horizontal pink stripe along the bottom of the sides of the car. Small horizontal pink stripes are on the roof of the car. White numbers.
Sponsor- Per an arrangement with Cassadaigua, Taylor’s one time EverLong sponsor, SubHouse will sponsor the #24 and have its logo on the hood and the back bumper. “Rocket” will read on the sides.

Taylor is from Cassadaigua, and drove for them in the EverLong Series two seasons ago, and made the EverLong Chase. She did not have a ride in either series last season, but gets another chance to run in NSSCRA and is promoted to the Multiversal Series. With the way the haulers are arranged and the current number allotment, Taylor will have the unique distinction of being the only driver between Jeremiah Brooke and Stacie Houston. Rocket Motorsports can only hope that some of that can rub off on her. Taylor is not an aggressive driver with top drivers in the series, but lesser drivers annoy her and she will be sometimes. Of course, Taylor typically expects to be near the front.

#48- Ashley Matthews
Colors- Sky Blue with flag image on hood. White diagonal stripes along side. Gold numbers.
Sponsor- “Rocket” (For Rocket Motorsports) will appear on the back bumper as well as on the sides.

Ashley has been driving for this team since NSSCRA 6, so this means that she has the longest winless streak of any active driver. Matthews has often not had a charter, so she would miss a handful of races most years since the charter system began. Ashley will be in an unusual situation this year with a charter to begin the season. This has her extra excited about the season.

Derek Harwood will use the open charter in the #59.
The second open charter will be given to the winner of the Prospect Showcase.

For this race, the second open charter is awarded to the EverLong winner, so Dragonovic will race in the Multiversal series race. #97 is available, but TJUN-ia may choose any number. If you are new to NSSCRA, please note that the second open charter is not usually handled this way, but will be from time to time. They start at the rear of the field in the Multiversal Series. The home nation may determine that, and they will need to RP it in advance (or post in the discussion thread).

Official cutoff time will be in approximately 23 hours and 10 minutes from the time of the post.

Rinzi was meditating in silent prayer, waiting for the drivers' meeting to start, when Kai Qiang poked him in the back to get his attention.

"Hey Rinzi, did you bring the Mayhem?"

Rinzi chuckled and playfully ruffled Qiang's hair. "Of course! I always bring the Mayhem!"

Qiang swatted Rinzi's hand away. "No, I mean, did you bring the actual Mayhem? Like that deodorant that comes in a spray can?"

"Why? Did you forget to pack deodorant?"

"It's not for me," said Qiang. He pointed toward Murat, who was fluffing his hair a couple of meters away.

"I don't think those guys use deodorant," said Rinzi.

"Yeah, that's the problem," said Qiang.

Rinzi looked around the room and saw what Qiang meant. Thea and Tsering were both holding their noses, and Liangmei Li was waving her hand in front of her nose like she was trying to wave away a bad smell. Jean Lannes was cleaning his boots and getting mud all over the floor, and Andre Massena was staring at Stacie Houston like he was undressing her with his eyes.

"My Mayhem samples are in my hauler," Rinzi said. "I will get them after the meeting."

Lannes thwacked his sheathed sword against the side of his boot to knock more mud loose, and Rinzi glanced at him uneasily. The Sherpalander hoped the French drivers would not take it the wrong way when he recommended deodorant to them.

On the track, the season got off to a promising start.

The Sherpa drivers had had a rough offseason, with Hankou coronavirus dominating the news, Rinzi's parents nagging him to have kids, and Qiang's wife suffering a miscarriage -- but now they were back at the race track and all of that seemed far away. Tsering took the pole for the season-opening exhibition race, and Rinzi and Qiang also had respectable qualifying sessions.
