I don’t believe it is a choice. I’ve had same-sex attraction with as so long as I can remember. I cannot tell if this was a result of my upbringing or past trauma or whatever. What I do know is that I can never fulfill these desires because of my religious faith.

There is no evidence whatsoever that homosexuality is linked to upbringing or trauma, so you can't write off homosexuality as originating in that manner.

Grades K-10

Basic sex education on average starts at 5-6th grades. I don’t know what kinders, 1st and 2nd graders are always brought up in “OMG they want to teach homosexuality!?!?!?!!?”

Kinders? Seriously. They could talk about it forever and they would basically be “ok!” And not understand what was discussed.

Puberty is a good time for such talks as in general they are starting to wonder about it anyway.

Much as many many religious people think; if the amount of homosexuals increases; it’s only because they feel comfortable admitting to being one.

Science simply because LGBT topics are critical parts of psychology and sociology, among other scientific fields.

As Kannap said, that's not the only kind of hate. Someone who would shield their kids' eyes and hurry them along from a visibly queer person on the street is not not hateful just because the Nazis put us in camps.

I also chose one time in my life to embrace a gay identity. It didn’t really bring me any peace. I even went to a church that caters to LGBT people at all that really resulting in is perverted old men talking sexually to me when I was a teenager. I’ve never felt at peace within the LGBT community and the culture. I’m also glad that I have never engaged in any physical activity either because that saved me a lot of heartache and possible STI‘s.
