Skills:
Thuggish Rouge
Over the course of his Intrepid career as a criminal youth Solomon has acquired a number of skills and habits, some useful other less so, that he found to both necessary and needed in the situations that confronted him over the course of his education in the "School of Hard Knocks". From the mundane like hotwiring a car and picking a lock(petty thief), all the way to the far more brutish including a broad knowledge of intimidation and a fondness for weapons and occasional random violence. Bred from a violent and hateful childhood defined by endemic poverty from which the only the certain guarantee was pain being inflicted upon him of some sorts; Since the quarantine he has been able to put many of these skills to use with varying results.
Vehicle Maintenance/Use
Knows his way around a vehicle whether that be cars, bicycles or his favorite motorcycles. Whether it be stealing, hotwiring, fixing, or simply driving them around town them fucking around with his toys as he calls them is both a passion and one of Solomon's few pleasures in this world.
Construction Skills
Since being provided legitimate employment via a relative Solomon has acquired a number of basic skills as a construction worker. Knowing his way around a hammer or a protractor he's gained a reasonable knowledge in building and maintaining structures. Whether that be in the form of making barricades, or destroying stairs these skills have blossomed in the hard times since.
Criminal Intuition
While relatively lacking in a proper education Solomon has what one might call "street smarts". In addition to his roughish skills he also a natural knowledge and understanding of what it takes to survive under less than ideal circumstances. Hunger, pain, poverty, raw violence and terror have all been feelings and sensations that he has both experienced and come to know intimately and as such has had to learn to endure from a young age. And with that has come an almost uncanny knack to not only know, sense, but also have a basic understanding of what to do in difficult circumstances not if but when they come. Whether that be in the form of old habits like knowing what house to rob or when the police might be near or more newer ones like when's the best time to leave before a horde of infected arrives is irrelevant.
Physically Fitness
Along with cars/vehicles and gambling up until he learn to read at the age of 12 Solomon had an almost zealous dedication to crafting the temple that was his body into a state of martial "perfection" or at the very least doing his damn hardest to try. This was not just some plain hobby taken up by him but a necessity to survive the absolute savage challenges of his childhood. While a gun might be not, it isn't always there. The fist in contrast is always presents and always reliable. Though not as fixated since his youth due to his former occupation combined with regularly working out Solomon has been able to maintain a reasonable degree of physical fitness compared to most. This has come in form of various benefits namely physical fitness and endurance to name the most obvious.
Avid Book Reader
Despite the aforementioned lack of education Solomon is a surprisingly well read individual upon learning to read from a chaplain while incarcerated he has found a tremendous amount of solace via literature. Due to this he has made for himself a rather nice book collection and has developed a rather strong predilection for journaling. On the road one will never find him without atleast one book, along with said journal of course.
Weaknesses:
Paranoia
His difficult upbringing bought with it not only physical scars but mental ones too. The line between "productive" criminal intuition and a crippling social dysfunctional is a narrow one, Solomon is no better proof of that. Fear isn't just emotional but a state of being in the mind of Solomon. Though he goes to bed with a gun under his pillow and a razor blade under his tongue the fixation that someone is going to betray or hurt him means there are nights he can't even rest.
Poor Social Skills
Said Paranoia and other issues lead to the secondary issue of poor social skills retarded not only by his dysfunctional family life defined by a mix of abandonment, a constant shifting array of foster homes, and issues that come with falling through the cracks of a broken system; but also by his repeated incarcerations. Being stuck in a hall full of absolute barbarians and surrounded by maniacs engaged in constant psychological warfare and occasional bouts of short but intense violence has led to an expected outcome in an impressionable youth. At the minimum this young man is a jaded individual with a propensity to responding to negative stimuli with sometimes extreme violence makes it difficult to form proper close connections with others. With that has come a weak social network largely comprised of many of the same aforementioned who have shaped him into the man he has come to be and has in many ways held him back from realizing any true potential outside his bleak circumstances.
Outlook of Despair
"Misery is all I see, it's my mind state" No truer words have been spoken that speak to the state of mind and being that is Solomon. From the moment he wakes up till the time he goes to sleep he has to pray thanks that he made it another 24, because the next aren't guaranteed. This is beyond a simple feeling of sadness of a mild case of melancholy. Solomon's mental state has gone far beyond that into a much darker place. From his earliest memories this is a boy who has in some ways gone through life with a death wish living on borrowed time and the worst part about it... he knows it too. At only age 10 when asked where he expects to be in the next 10 years he said plainly "I'll probably die". The fact that that seems to be delayed for the time being is only a small solace, will he make it past his teens? Only god knows, because this boy from the ghetto certainly doesn't.
Old War Wounds
His rough childhood followed by regular injuries from constant conflict ranging from gunshots to stabbings and old broken bones has led to a number of war wounds which occasionally cause issues. Though not as sever as they could be occasional bought of pain and stiffness of joins are not uncommon for the young man. This can make it difficult for him to push himself when he needs it the most and cause general discomfort and unwelcome irritation at inopportune times.
Minimal Formal Education
Despite his love for reading and general street knowledge as mentioned Solomon is of limited means in a more formal sense of the word. With schooling interrupted by a mix of regular truancies and being in and out of prison from a young age this has led to poor academic outcomes as one might expect. The streets and the experiences of his life were his primary schooling. While versed in the basics like the three Rs(Reading, Writing, Arithmetic) his knowledge in even basic schooling matters could at best be described as... rough to say the least. He learned what he needed and worked with what he had. Though one shouldn't underestimate him, though seemingly crude and lacking in intelligence many have learned the hard way that what he lacks in schooling he makes up for in raw cunning and an almost razor like shrewdness that has caught many of guard.

Likes: Guns, Cars, Fighting, Books, Quiet Solitude

That's not a revolver that exists.
Unless you mean Schofield, in which case, it doesn't use .44 Magnum. It uses one of: .44 S&W Russian, .44 S&W American, .38 S&W, .44 Henry, .44-40 Winchester, .45 S&W, .32 S&W. And of those, only .38 S&W and .44-40 is reliably found anywhere outside of niche sporting goods stores that cater to antique firearms.

A few minor things. It sounds like he's been in-and-out of prison several times but is only 18? Was probably in Juvenile then, or maybe bump up his age by a few years? He's also pretty heavy while also being very short, and while I know muscle is more dense than fat he's either overweight or jacked to a terrifying degree. Lastly, what gang is he involved in?Ragnox wrote:Name:Nick Karma
Few issues. Your nationality would technically be American. You were born in America and have never been to Australia despite having a father from overseas. As Anowa stated, do you mean the Schofield Revolver? Which is just a S&W Model 3. It's basically an antique. Formatting is also off since not everything should be bold (easy fix). Biography is also too short. Two paragraphs minimum. RP Example is basically any other RP's you may have been in and serves simply as a sample of your writing if there's any doubt. Lacking previous RP's I just look to your bio. Concerning the death of his family, the bombing injured a lot of people but surprisingly didn't kill that many and your family would account for 75% of the actual deaths as of now. If anything I'd prefer if the bio was fleshed out a bit more. Like, how did he get shot? Why does he have a katana when those aren't common? Why's he still in Chicago instead of leaving? etc.

Skills:
The Moral Conscience: Views everything in complex moral terms he refuses to watch as humanity engages in the basest of barbarism and degenerates into tribalism. His faith drives him forward.
Amateur Medical Expert: In the early days of the pandemic as people began to be infected and come to the medical center Koji had to get basic first aid training to help supplement the nurses and doctors who were being taken to deal with the more severe cases.
Moral Support: Being a Hospital Chaplain means he is able to listen to people's traumas, their skills to cope, and is able to help the dying face peace in a world of chaos.
Weaknesses:
Delusional: Currently the grief riddles his mind to the point he experiences full hallucinations at times of previous events, memories, and scenes of his family life.
Epileptic: Suffers from a form of epilepsy that leaves him riddled, but able to experience intense religious euphoria and visions.
Hearing Voices: Be they some supernatural force (in his mind), voices representing his guilt, or something else they come in spurts leaving his mind frazzled, and memories clouded. His conscience guilts him over the actions he took in the hospital to make sure that the people didn't suffer....they didn't suffer, but now Kijo suffers.
Pacifist: Doesn't believe in killing the infected or the "others" suffering from an infection. As it wasn't their fault they became infected. This translates to humans, and animals as well.
Personality: Somber, despairing, and currently grieving the loss of his entire family. A man of faith he spends his time endlessly praying, and arguing
Likes: Generosity, Charity, Religious Discussions, and Kindness.
Dislikes: Cruelty, Cowardice, Misanthropy, and Sadism.
Biography: Adopted by an American Army Officer and Japanese Diplomat he spent much of his childhood in Camp ZAMA. While learning English he was ingrained in Japanese society, religion, and philosophy. He was in Japan until the age of fifteen when his mother got a job working in the Japanese consular office in Chicago. Moving to the United States was a major culture shock in many ways. He found his home in the Japanese community within Chicago attending Buddhist services of the Shin Buddhist Temple in Chicago while holding on to the Shinto beliefs he was raised in.
Eventually, after graduating he would get a bachelor's degree in Religious Studies as well as a Masters's of Divinity at Loyola University. An opportunity arose to be trained in the clinical pastoral services at the university medical center. Koji spent special time helping the families of the dying especially children go through the process of grief. In times of doubt, he often found himself attending one of the many churches nearby leading to a confusing syncretism of practices. Over time he'd marry, and the newlywed couple would have a daughter. She would turn three, and Koji and his wife were in discussions about whether to have her baptized or go into the local Buddhist Temple. This conversation and many more with St Andrews Episcopal Church would grind to a halt on the day the attacks at O'Hare occurred.
The hospital would be slammed with victims hurt during the riots, and people would be forced into an all-hands-on-deck situation. The victims of the riots weren't the only ones as eventually the hospital locked down following a horrific incident in the maternity ward where an infected woman bit her husband's throat out. When supplies stopped being delivered the hospital staff realized they were truly alone. The most critical patients had been allowed to die in hopes other patients would be able to be saved. Eventually, a meeting in the hospital cafeteria concluded help wasn't coming, and the staff chose to poison the last days meal in hopes that a quick death would be faster and more painless than a brutal one at the hands of the infected. Koji looked at his daughter, and wife realizing all of them had no future in this world, but something happened.
Koji ate the food, but unlike everyone else woke up. In a cafeteria of 90 people...one woke up, and the realization hit Koji hard. He didn't die, and the food was wasted so there was no attempt to join his wife and daughter. While suicide violates his religious beliefs he understood why it was the only choice as he climbed to the roof witnessing the carnage below. Thoughts encouraged him to jump, but the guilt held him back. Now he is held out in the Chaplain's office with the food from the cafeteria that wasn't poisoned. The dead are buried in the best way possible, and now Koji waits for an opportunity to leave.

Like I can give you a god damn encyclopedia of gangs in Chicago. Just find something there and modify it for petes sake. Doesn't even make sense in the context of Chicago where gangs are almost never named after locations(like say in California) unlike sets. Compare names like the following:
Mickey Cobras(Orginally Cobra Stones, and before that the Egyptian King Cobras), Named after their fallen Leader Mickey "The Cobra" Cogwell.
Almighty Vice Lord Nation(the early leaders liked to read the dictionary)
Gangster Disciples(Derived from King Hoovers High Supreme Gangsters)
Black Disciples(derived from King David's Devil's Disciples, named after reading the bible)
New Breeds
Almighty Black P Stone Nation(aka the El Rukns or their older name The Blackstone Rangers)
Almighty Latin Kings
Latin Eagles
Spanish Cobras
Almighty Gaylord Nation(ya... it makes sense in context plus different time period)
C Notes
North/South Side Popes
Chicago Outfit(the Mob)
Four Corner Hustlers
etc etc etc. It ain't that hard man.
I'm sticking with the Ranger portion, referencing the Black Stone Rangers of old, but I can probably fix it up. The Unknown Rangers, Almighty Iron Rangers, The Hillside Rangers, The Terrorville Rangers? Got any you like or should I keep going?

Plus with how big "smokin' pack", "smokin' opp pack", "smokin' Tooka pack" etc. is in Chicago gang lexicon and drill music, no gang would dare call themselves anything with pack in the name. They'd be the butt of a joke every time they lose a member.

HEY
Atleast Mine sounds original. Plus The Black Stone Rangers, the name that I more or less derived my name from, were one of the largest and most respected gangs in the city at one point. Jeff Fort and his boys number in the 10s of thousands. That's not even counting the Wolf Pack by James Carr which the name also references so shut your mouth.
