I think attack helicopters and modern fighter jets would be able to inflict serious damage on any forces. All a fighter jet has to do is fly high enough that the modern fighter jets can't reach them, and then start bombing I guess.

Why do you insist on talking about war like its a video game? There's no "kill-death ratio" in reality. it doesn't take 50 bullets to take down a guy in a PvP match. This is war, it's terrifying, deadly, and you hope you never have to be in the middle of one. There's nothing glorifying about it, no fun statistics you get to see on a leaderboard representing your performance when it's over, it's not a game. If you die, then you die, and there was nothing noble or glorious about it, you gave your one life in this universe because some rich fucks in a corporate tower somewhere wanted to profit off of selling more guns or lowering the price of oil or something.

As aforementioned, the modern tech would be able to inflict serious damage for a bit. When it runs out of ammunition or fuel? Then its a useless decoration.

My understanding of the OP is we're placing modern day Greece in the middle of WW2 and setting all sides onto them. In this understanding, Greece doesn't have unlimited supplies or weapons - just the quantities modern Greece has. Their weapons would kill lots of enemies, certainly, but when those weapons run out they'll be overrun easily.

The only way Greece would last more than a week in this scenario is if Zeus himself came down from his home in Mount Olympus to fuck shit up. If it was modern Greece vs, say, the Ancient World? Maybe. But not every WW2 nation except the United States.

Therefore, I choose not to fight directly and instead become a priest. Because Divine Intervention is the only way Greece would survive.

Good idea, maybe I should edit in some Greek gods. I'll think on it.

Turkey: Germany didn't invade Turkey primarily because they needed to focus on the Soviet Union and didn't need to open another front in the war. If Turkey is on the side of Greece against the Allies and the Axis both, it's going to be easily invaded from all sides.

Yugoslavia and Hungary: Both were invaded and occupied by Germany in WW2, add in extra enemies and their doom is sealed likewise.

Albania: Conquered by Italy. Fucking Italy

Bulgaria: Would've been invaded by Germany if it didn't join the Axis to prevent it, they're probably boned if they choose not to join the Axis.

Romania: Allied itself with Germany to prevent an invasion and was invaded anyway lol

China: China gets invaded by Japan as normal but now has fronts open to their south (British India and other British + French possessions in southeast Asia) and the north (Soviet Union), you've surrounded them.

United States: Pearl Harbor but make it two years earlier, maybe even the Japanese conquer the Hawaii Islands before launching an invasion of the west coast. British and French soldiers could stage in Canada and invade southward. At this point in time, the Japanese and British navies are both stronger than the U.S. navy - which is kinda obsolete and doesn't start undergoing modernization + ramping up production of new ships until about the time France is invaded and occupied IRL.

The only way the United States was able to land soldiers in Europe to fight was by using Britain as a launch point. With us losing Britain as an ally, how are we going to launch a naval invasion from across the entire Atlantic Ocean?

I went to Greece many years and it was a very beautiful place. The mountains could give the defenders a big advantage. Also, Greece having so many islands would seem to encourage combat from all branches (air, land, and sea), giving everyone something to do in the campaigns.

Maybe, maybe not. War isn't a video game. You don't just get to run out like it's Call of Duty and take 20 bullets before running to cover and finding a health pack that regenerates your health. It doesn't matter how good your gun is when somebody else gets a shot on you. A bullet is a bullet.

It really depends on the person using the gun as well. I cant even aim that good. (Well, with a gun, at least, a bow, pretty good in the 10 meter range (unrealistic, i know))
