It usually recruits children, as it far easier for children to become sorcerers (since it takes years of training) and it is easier to mold their mind and brainwash them. Though on rare occasions, they accept adults.

What age range of children, though? Elementary-aged, middle school aged, etc?

5-6. Young enough to sever emotional bonds from their families, but not so young that they would be good only for baby-sitting.

Name: Sister Euna Ingrid Tanamara
Race: Human(?)
Class: Sorcerer
Role: Order of the Thousand Suns, occasional contact with the Order of the Night
Gender: F
Age: 29(1,253)
Appearance:
]ImageOne particular thing of note that is not shown in this current iteration is that Euna has slightly pointed ears, although they always remain hidden beneath her hair. They definitely aren’t elven, but close inspection suggests they aren’t exactly normal for a human either.

Origins: Ecumenopolis Euna hails from the moon Nunyunuwi, a moon firmly outside the habitable zone of its star orbiting the gas giant Iris, which bears a properly magnificent set of rings and a deep purple hue to its atmosphere from an anomalously high concentration of atmospheric iodine. Nun’yunu’wi is so named because of its habitability. Although the moon itself possesses a native biosphere which is adapted to the environment, Earth life can only inhabit heights of the many extinct volcanoes that pierce the lower layer of the atmosphere. Volcanism is the primary mechanism for keeping the planet warm, though photosynthetic life keeps oxygen levels above the death line at habitable levels. The moon’s low gravity and scenery make it a frequent travel destination for the inhabitants of its sector of the Mid-rim, though the planet itself has a high level of mob violence, partially due to how easy it is to make deaths look like accidents.
Starting Location: Ecumenopolis
Strengths(Official): Euna is a capable magic user and is generally competent at assigned tasks. Largely politically unobtrusive, according to some who know her, she may be “an excellent choice for an elder or potential Council member if the Order needs to make a choice that leaves all outside parties relatively unconcerned.” She is fairly personable, if a bit of a wall flower in larger social situations. Euna is a hard worker and bears a genuine fascination with magic.
Strengths(Secret):
“Euna” is, at least as far as humans go, probably the single most experienced sorcerer in the galaxy. What use is power, after all, if one doesn’t know how to use it? What she may have once lacked in terms of innate prowess, she more than makes up for in sheer dedication to the craft. She is a fluent speaker of the elven tongue and would, were this knowledge public, be considered one of the foremost human experts on elven culture, not that anyone else would care. As a result of over a millennium of practice, she can certainly be considered a very powerful sorcerer, and has even managed to adapt a few elven spells for use on humans that are both banned and fall outside the bounds of the domains of both Orders. Her two most precious creations are the Face Changing Spell and a creation of her own, the Rejuvenation Spell. Both spells rely not on blood or souls, but on marrow. For use on humans, the spells require elven marrow and the marrow of the human who is to use the spell to be mixed into a paste. Beyond that, the process will differ wildly based on precise desired results, but the requirement of the marrow paste is always a constant. As an aside, her spare time is occupied by study of language as well. How many languages she knows is unclear even to her, but sometimes she’ll surprise herself by being able to read something in an archive that’s in a language that hasn’t been spoken in several hundred years. A point of caution, if nothing else.
Weaknesses: Officially speaking, Euna is rather meek and is something of a pushover. This simple trait exists to help cover up her several true weaknesses. She keeps her magic on a tight leash around the core worlds especially, as showing off around other members of the Order would be a surefire way to draw in attention. She further maintains a rather meek persona due to her enduring moral code. She is unwilling to engage in the brutal acts that characterise the Order of the Night, and cannot bring herself to fight an elf, so she takes intense caution to avoid an exceptional success rate. Her escape from aging comes with additional costs. Her precious stash of elven marrow, or, more accurately, stem cells, is spread across several stashes in the outer rim, each with its own deep-frozen hoard. She keeps a final emergency stash inside a ring that she wears on her left ring finger, and is one of the only belongings that transcends the many personas she’s adopted over the years. She has had so many faces that she doesn’t really recall her own name anymore, either. The human mind was not made to handle over a millennium of knowledge, and so, despite her best efforts, Euna can be scatterbrained and forgetful, even in spite of her workarounds.
Equipment: A necklace with a gem infused with her most important memories. Euna must periodically purge her mind in order to stay mentally competent. She possesses a ring with elven marrow magically preserved inside. Finally, she has a quintet of plush toys that are veritably irreplaceable, having gone out of production over a thousand years ago, though they aren’t particularly recognisable as such, being fairly generic-looking.
Biography: Euna was found as a young child at an orphanage on Nunyunuwi, of unknown parentage, as no persons with the surname “Tanamara” appear in relevant census records. Shortly after arrival, upon demonstration of preliminary magical capabilities, she was brought before the Order of the Thousand Suns to verify her potential. Under the guidance of her assigned Elders, Euna was educated in the orthodox methodology for magic. Among her peers, Euna was often found to be a teacher’s pet, although generally, she was not seen to be a particularly enthusiastic worshipper, which hindered her marks. Regardless, she was considered a competent sorcerer and received several accolades in her time for citizenship, as she was among the most frequent volunteers when it came to peer-to-peer tutoring. Despite this, she wasn’t particularly popular, being fairly puritanical as far as her peers went and highly reluctant to engage in any sort of unauthorised behaviour, other than occasional trespassing, as her curiosity would occasionally conquer her good behaviour.

Upon graduation, Euna was offered a chance at continuing studies under one of the most respected elders on the Ecumenopolis, which she accepted and continued her magical studies until finishing with honours four years thereafter. Due to this respectable educational history, she has since often been deployed for Order operations that require a more delicate touch. Though not in line for any promotions any time soon, Euna is considered to be a strong choice within her
“I was born on Mother’s Day over a millennium ago. I stopped celebrating the actual date probably around…oh, I can’t even remember when anymore. I just pick whatever date Mother’s Day is that year and say it’s my birthday for when I need to get a new identity sorted out. But yes, I was born on Mother’s Day a very, very long time ago. My childhood isn’t really important anymore. It’s been so long since then that I sometimes feel like I really am changing more than my face with these spells. When you have to become a new person every few decades, who you are starts to feel a lot less tied to things that can be put into words. Mom, Dad, home, today, all of these things start to take on a different meaning when you’ve made up so many of them. They generally circle around a grain of truth, because it’s easier for me that way, but none of it ultimately matters.

What you need to know about me is that, all those years ago, I was a student. A real student, not a fake one. I studied Linguistics, and, after a decade of many other fascinations, I came in touch with my true passion—magic. But not this memorisation nonsense that the Order fancied, no, I wanted to learn how the real masters learned it. This was back in the days where there were still elven worlds, you see…

Damnit. I don’t know what world it is. They renamed it a few times and I tried to learn the new name so the few I told about it would understand what I was on about and I eventually just gave up, and now, I suppose, I can’t think of a name at all. In any case, I managed to get myself transportation through illicit means, along with just a few others. I came as a student, pure and simple. I stripped down naked, underwent incredible screening, just to make sure I wasn’t lying through my teeth. In the end, after years, I gained their trust. There I was, a dumb human adult, in a body that was already beginning its path towards decay, sat among young elven children. Luckily for me, I actually was able to perform magic, or my entire journey would have been for nothing.

It took until I was old and decrepit to truly grasp magic. But once you understand the language, once you understand the heart of it all, then you can begin to play. I didn’t want to die—not that most people do—but I had come too far to pass from old age now that I had touched a new height of learning. So I gave it my all. I had friends there, after all. I was one of the good ones, a good human. Such a crazy thought, isn’t it? But I stopped being human after I managed to concoct my Rejuvenation spell. There I was, looking like an old woman, but as healthy as a young elf. My ears had started to look just a touch different though, you know. But then, I managed the Face Changing spell. I’m no longer that excited linguist, looking to the cosmos with bright eyes and sitting in a class for elven children to grasp at concepts that others plucked from the stars like fruits off of a tree.

These spells, my thousand years, carry with them a promise. I wore only two faces among the elves. The one I was born with, and the one I took among them after I finally learned how to change it. I was one of them, in a way. A human who had cheated death. A human who cheated herself out of humanity itself, in a way. But my promise is one that is as much made to myself as to my teachers. I will not share this knowledge with anyone else. The marrow was gifted to me, and I will not share it. For this wish I have been granted, I must wander through time alone. It gets boring, you know, especially when I lay low for a few years in the darkness of the gaps between the stars to cover my tracks. The years have stopped passing so fast as they used to, except during those times. You’d think to someone considered incredibly old, even to an elf, that time would appear like a blink, but those times are rare when one keeps busy. I keep busy because experiences, in my opinion, are the only real currency for someone who has to reinvent themselves scores of times anyway.

This is the first time I have decided to attempt truly messing with my age. In order to quench my curiosity for what happens within the Order of the Thousand Suns, I must make myself look young again, very young. This will be the most difficult bit of magic I hope to ever be faced with, because now I’m not only cheating death what it’s owed, but I’m trying to walk further in the opposite direction. Wish me luck when I go ahead and try it. I’ll need it.”

Psychological Profile: Contrary to what would be expected of a thousand-year old who lives by many names, Euna lacks a strong poker face. Call it method acting, or call it forgetting, but Euna is as much the person she claims to be as she is an ancient sorceress. She doesn’t lie about her curiosity or about her genuine friendliness. It is her belief that the best way to lie is to tell many truths, so she avoids suspicion largely by acting like a normal person. She has confided in more than a few people the true nature of herself, but she is indeed generally more careful than her persona would lend on. She’s borderline neurotic when it comes to preparations that truly matter, best exemplified by having a secret catalogue of approximately 1,500 secret marrow stashes across the galaxy, both in case she forgets where she hid one and in case something destroys one. She has a strong internal moral compass, but it is not immune to malleability, nor is it immune to cowardice. When push comes to shove, she prefers a fighting retreat to standing ground, and this is a fact that the Order can observe as well, which compels them to avoid sending her alone on missions which may require lethal force.

Name:Mezei István
Race: Human
Class: Professional
Role: Leader of the Fallen Suns Mercenary Group, a large sized force.
Gender: Male
Age: 30
Appearance: Mezei
Origins: Paerus, a cold backwater world in the outer rim. Where Mezei's parents stopped at after a job in order to have ensure a healthy birth of Mezei. Present-day it has been abandoned by its baron due to the threat of the orcs and is now occupied by them.
Starting Location: Ileron, an arid moon orbiting the temperate world of Athea near the border between the mid and outer rim. The system Belongs to Duke Maeloc Pascow and currently serves as the headquarters of the Fallen Suns.
Strengths: Marksmen, Skilled Tactician, Expect at CQC, Good Pilot
Weaknesses: Bad at politics, Trust problems, Stubborn and Lingering pain from his scars can cause great pain if hit.
Equipment: Personal suit of power armor, plasma rifle, plasma pistol, combat knife, three frag grenades, A old necklace that bears his family's old sigil, The Revenant - a cruiser that serves as the flagship of the Fallen Sun's fleet.
Biography: Mezei never had a normal childhood growing up. Being the son of two mercenaries makes for an interesting childhood. But, just any mercenaries, for Mezei's father was the son and heir of the Fallen Suns. A growing mercenary group that was founded by Karel István, Mezei's grandfather. But, because he had few options in the matter. For the István family used to be the duke of the Ikaus, Zrauzlu, and Avaoth systems. Ruling from the world of Anov and had ruled from centuries before a coup ousted them from their thone. They would try to retake their territory from the usurpers but, would fail in the attempt. Now forced from their holdings and with few options. Karel being a skilled soldier, used what funds he had to form a mercenary group called the Fallen Suns in order to support themselves. Though Karel planned on building up the Fallen Suns enough to take back their holdings but, it would not happen in his lifetime.

Like his father before him, Mezei grew up around mercenaries and was groomed as the heir to the group. That and being taught the ways of the nobility, though his grandfather failed to retake their holdings and status. Mezei's father shared the same dream that his father did. A dream that his father would instill in Mezei. So Mezei was taught the same as his father. Like how to fight, court etiquette, how to fly a spaceship, and more. Skills that would help him in running the Fallen Suns and by the time he was twenty. Mezei showed he was a capable soldier and good with tactics. Though, he did struggle with politics and other skills expected of nobles.

By the time Mezei was twenty-nine, he had been serving under his father as his third. The second in command being his mother, and he had gone on many missions. Earning the respect of his troops in the process and it seemed that the Fallen Suns were doing fine. That was until Mezei's family was betrayed by one of their commanders, who sought to control the Fallen Suns. Staging a coup, and ended up killing both of Mezei's parents. Along with nearly killing Mezei but, Mezei was able to kill the usurpers and the mutineers. Though it would make a lasting impression on him that one of their skilled and loyal commanders ended up betraying them. At that point, Mezei started to think who he could trust among his crew of hired guns. Leaving only a select number that he knew he could trust.

With the clear declining state of the empire and the large size of the Fallen Suns. Mezei started to realize that now is the time to enact his grandfather's dream and retake their lost holdings. Forming a plan to strike at the current rulers of the lost holdings, House Minnema. Time will tell if these plans bore fruit but, Mezei will give it his all if it means reclaiming what was taken from his family.

Psychological Profile: Mezei can be described as a stoic individual. Cool under pressure and calm during a firefight. It takes something special to make him angry, like politics or betrayal. Which he is on the lookout for in his troops. Tries to be diplomacy in some cases when it is needed. Also, despite being a seasoned mercenary, Mezei has a somewhat code of honor. Ultimately, being picky to what jobs the Fallen Suns take up. A trait that he got from his father.

Here's my second app, a side character that may become a second main character.

Name: Kai'Tsu'Shael, shortened to Kai
Race: Is'in
Class: Professional
Role: Imperial Senior Technologist, Special Projects Detachment Director
Gender: Male
Age: 20 (Is'in years)
Appearance: Kai, the Prospector, and the Confessor
Origins: Is'Ara, homeworld of the Is'in race. Is'Ara is a habitable planet with vast, continent-sized rainforests and massive mountain ranges, separated by large seas. The planet's gravity is significantly lighter than the Ecumenopolis and other habitable worlds, meaning that while Is'in have adapted to this with hollow bones and agility, they are much weaker on planets outside of their own. Huge cityscapes crisscross the planet, mostly near large bodies of water, and the orbit possesses several large space stations built by the Is'in to help mitigate overpopulation. Is'Ara is actually somewhat close to the Ecumenopolis, being about three systems away from the planet, and is considered a core world that is heavily defended and prized by the Empire.
Starting Location: The Imperial research vessel Confessor, docked on the Ecumenopolis.
Strengths:
  • Intellectual: Although a somewhat young Is'in, Kai was predisposed to the sciences, technology, and engineering, and possesses an almost savant-level understanding in many of these topics. Schooling through Imperial universities has exposed him to almost a decade worth of education in biochemistry, philosophy, psychology, engineering, and more esoteric fields. His accolades have led his scientific career to a high-end position within the Imperial science community, a position he never would've imagined himself achieving.
  • Dilligent: When his mind is set upon a task, it's extremely difficult to get Kai distracted, and most obstacles can be overcome in mere days through constant experimentation and the scientific process. This obviously has its drawbacks, but it means Kai is a very hard and productive worker overall.
  • Photographic Memory: Kai has a photographic memory, allowing him to visually remember many things almost perfectly, including equations, locations, and faces.

Weaknesses: Along with being physically frail like most Is'in, Kai is obsessed with prolonging his age through technological or scientific means, and also has an almost addictive desire to learn as much information as possible. He also has a habit of dangerously questioning authority, mostly because he doubts their intellectual capacity. He also is not a frontline combatant, and constantly relies upon others to fight for him.
Equipment:
  • Heavy Laser Pistol: A heavy laser pistol that is commonly used by the Imperial Guard and other security forces throughout the galaxy. Its sights are smart-linked to a heads up display on Kai's eyepiece.
  • Eyepiece: A personal invention which, along with being linked to most Imperial IFF networks, can identify and scan specimens of interest, or function as a communication device.
  • Multitool: Another personal invention carried around the waist, which possesses a utility blade, laser measuring tool, level, and a cutting/welding torch.
  • The Prospector: Kai's personal fighter craft, armed with two repeating laser cannons, improved engines, and an upgraded sensor suite. It is held inside a hangar on the Confessor.
  • The Confessor: A frigate and research vessel serving as Kai's starship, which holds a small hangar to hold the Prospector and other smaller research ships. Although mostly a research vessel, it possesses a complex suite of countermeasures and hidden turrets, as well as sophisticated jamming technology and long range sensors.

Biography: Kai'Tsu'Shael was born on Is'Ara, homeworld of the Is'in, and an Imperial core world. He was exposed to education at a fairly early age given how quickly the Is'in matured, and was noteworthy among his peers for an almost savant-level of intelligence, but was often bullied due to his small and frail stature and speech impediments. Despite this, Kai persisted in his studies, often inventing small yet impressive machinations to improve his productivity or impress his parents and peers. Many of these instruments, though, would be weaponized against his bullies as a deterrent, to an almost frighteningly effective degree.

At his core, Kai was an intellectual whose mind was desired by many, so it was no surprise that by the time he was a teenager, he was approached by an Imperial Technologist, having heard stories of how his inventions and automatons were capable of fending off his bullies. The man offered him the opportunity to test his worth to the Imperial court in hopes of becoming a scientist, a position which not many Is'in even dreamed of achieving. Kai took the offer without hesitation and was promptly shipped to the Ecumenopolis, where he spent a large portion of his teenage years studying and experimenting in the Empire's illustrious labs and universities.

After almost half decade worth of education in biochemistry, philosophy, psychology, engineering, and more esoteric fields, Kai finally graduated and was appointed as the Empire's newest Technologist, a scientific position held by only a few of the most intelligent Is'in and Humans. His accolades had led his scientific career to a high-end position within the Imperial science community, a position he never would've imagined himself achieving. At his appointing ceremony, Kai chose to specialize in special projects for the Imperial Guard, and was promptly assigned to a contracted position within the Guard to help develop its next generation of weapons, vehicles, and guardsmen.

Things in the Special Projects Detachment were right up Kai's alley: pseudosciences, intrigue, developing ultra-violent technologies, genetic augmentation, etc. With a personal black budget to help him progress, it seemed that the only thing in his way was time and his superiors. It was no surprise that he fit in well... and began making connections. Taking up a position of power and influence in a well-paying job that disregarded morals and ethics for the sake of bettering the Empire was a desire that many, not just Kai, shared, and so he developed relationships with other scientists in the Empire's Special Projects Detachment, forming a sort of 'Shadow Cabal' to further their personal and scientific goals.

Kai's promotion to the Director of the Special Projects Detachment and his assignment to the Confessor almost coincidentally happened when word of the Emperor's failing health and influence reached the Imperial scientific community. With the Shadow Cabal backing him, Kai quickly realized that the days of the Emperor were limited, and it was up to them to figure out a way to either prolong the Emperor's lifespan to increase his influence, or take it upon themselves to enact their own will in a galaxy that the Empire's grip was slowly losing.

Psychological Profile: Kai is comparable to a force of nature, essentially unstoppable once he puts his mind towards a task. He has little patience for tomfoolery in his operations, and has frequently cited the incompetence of his superiors as being a detriment to his success. At some times appearing unhinged and at other times appearing as collected and competent as the most ruthless military leaders, its difficult to precisely pinpoint his psychological profile. A habit of questioning leadership and sometimes going against orders to produce more accurate results also has concluded that he is naturally untrustworthy of everyone, including his most trusted confidants.
Other Information: Commands the 'Shadow Cabal,' a top-secret think tank and organization within the Special Projects Detachment, comprised of Kai himself and his most loyal confidants.
The Confessor has a small Imperial Guard detachment onboard, though their loyalty to Kai as opposed to the Emperor is unclear.

Given the scope of this world, usually this would feel like a silly question, but since there are quite a number of folks on the Ecumenopolis now, I wonder if any characters might know one another prior to the start of the rp.

Couple of questions before I throw up an application.

Are there a limit on the number of characters you can run at one time?
Is there a skill check/dice system involved?
What is the status of the remaining elves in hiding? Are they militant, passive, or a mixture of both?

The character I was thinking about using was an Elven sorceress hailing from an elven hide out in a nebula similar to the Badlands from Star Trek, her human lover/smuggling sympathizer, and an Imperial Courtier who dreams of reforming the empire from the inside out.
There Darkness Dwells… FanT Roleplay!

NS stats are to be taken literally.

Equipment: A companion AI in a bipedal robot shell, a PDW, a trading AI
Biography: Taylor's mother, Adreli Misto who was born in an Asteroid base in the Ecumenopolis system had taken hold of one such opportunity, and was able to be sponsored passage on a long-term convoy leaving the system. After arriving in system, and receiving training at a number of locations, she was shuttled down to the surface of Zaphedrilon and was part of an in-atmosphere transport, which was collecting goods from a number of Factors on Bebodry. Suffering technical faults, it had to land at Cazin IV, but crash-landed some kilometeres from the outpost. After being rescued, she had to recover in the sick bay whilst arrangements were made to either repair or replace the aerial transporter. During her recovery, she met the charming colonist Ertram Razrado, who was a pharmacologist working on drug production utilizing the local flora.

After a whirlwind romance, she decided to stay and work for the Agrocorp local office at Cazin IV, suspending her internship and becoming a junior employee. After a year, they had Taylor, who grew up to be locally educated and work alongside her father and other colonists in exploration and exploitation of the local environs. She also learnt about logistics, trade, and economics from her mother. By the age of 16, she had taken a keen interest in star system economics (SSE), and left with a scholarship for Zaphedrilon's most prestigious educational institution, the Ush'Meledia University of Macrosociety. Getting involved in investments, dodgy loans, gambling, and networking, she graduated at 18 years, 7 months with a ICSE (Imperial Certificate of Senior Education) in SSE, with a minor in Shipping Management. Taylor undertook a variety of other educational courses, internships, and sidejobs, and learned new skills. By 21, she was working as an junior charterer for Favenris' renowned Gracious Commerce Co-Operative, and at 23, was already taking management courses.

By this time however, Cazin IV had stagnated, and money was getting tighter, and more colonists began to emigrate. Ertram had been involved in illegal drug production and smuggling for five years, and ended up being killed during a honeytrap setup with local authorities in Bebodry's largest city, Trelick. Soon after, Adreli found that she could not stay for a combination of emotional reasons and suspicions that she had been assisting her father (which she had to some extent). She took what money she could, and sold many possessions, before joining as a junior crewmember on an orbital in-system trader for a couple of years before she met her daughter again- who was 24. After their reunion, she rejoined Equadrilos Agrocorp Adreli ended up returning to the Ecumeniopolis system alongside a raft of Equadrilos Agrocorp workers as it expanded its operations in the capital system. Working for a few more years, she ended up taking her money, and a loan, and ended up establishing a restaurant on the moon of Keyto II, a moon of the planet Grezdi in the Ecumenopolis system.

At the age of 25, Taylor was heavily involved in investing in, betting on, and chartering in-system trade, and ended up becoming a trading advisor for a major independent Free Trader, learning, managing, and observing whilst continuing financial side hustles. By 27, with good academic qualifications, a variety of experiences, favorable contacts, some lucky gambling, and a pretty clean financial and criminal record, Taylor was able to get a junior captain's license with the sponsorship of her employer. At an auction of a confiscated DMY OT-0345 C freighter, which ended up selling well-below the expected, and moderately below the anticipated market price, Taylor struck lucky, pulling in favours, a slice of blackmail she had on a would-be buyer, and a five-minute loan contract with her employer, and was able to acquire the ship, as well as some high-value contraband which had been hidden by the previous smuggling owner and was revealed to her by the ship AI. She has since worked as a contract trader, whilst working to pay off her debts to her previous employer.

Psychological Profile: Taylor is a moderately extroverted person, who thrives in a happy company, but is uncomfortable with silence. She thrives on banterous friendships and story-telling, but is somewhat cynical of trusting other people, given her experiences in the world o trade and rumour.
Other Information: N/A for now.

I'll post on the IC later today when I get home. Planning on Miata plotting an ambush on some Orcs escaping with gold on their ships, and Kai planning what he's going to do with the Emperor's failing health becoming known.

Apologies for delay in replying. :)

Hinzland wrote:Couple of questions before I throw up an application.

1. No, you can app as many characters as you want. Have to warn though that unless you either have ample free time or are experienced RPer, then trying to handle too many characters at once can be daunting.
2. No. There are no mechanics, aside from OP (me) occasionally handing out quests. This RP is primarily narrative-driven.
3. Most Elves are hiding, either on their own or in small communities. Despite its decline, the Empire remains the most powerful institution in the Galaxy and is hunting them down. On the other hand, a few Elves do fight back against the Empire, though it is more strike-and-run type of warfare than an actual war.

Finally updated the Players' Lore section with all the planets and moons mentioned in the players' apps. If I missed anything, notify me. Soon will be doing the same for battleships and noble houses mentioned in the apps. My hope is that this will allow players to easily access lore established by other players without having to scroll through the OOC again and again. :)

Name: Kuvira
Race: Elf
Class: Sorceress
Role: (Here you specify your profession. If you are a sorcerer, do you belong to the Thousand Suns Order or the Night Order? If you are an Imperial Guard, what rank do you hold? If you are pirate, what part do you play in the crew? If you are a noble, are you Duke or Baron or Courtier? If you are Barbarian, are you a Chief or a warrior?) Leader of an Elven community in the Nostrom Badlands
Gender: Female
Age: (Be reasonable; there won't be any twenty years old Captains in the Imperial Navy. You can have a pirate captain be that young, but they also would not have a large crew) ~400 years
Appearance: (Either description [paragraph long] or photo/image) Kuvira is a beautiful woman, even by Elven standards. She is tall, about 6 and a half feet tall, with blonde hair that reaches her feet that she usually wraps up into an ornate bun or into a single braid. She is pale, and refuses to wear make up, and moves with the natural grace of the Elves. She is thin, but do to Elven physiology has the strength of several men. Frequently seen wearing traditional Elven clothes amongst her own people, but amongst humans will typically wear something like Sheik from Legend of Zelda, hiding her appearance from hostile people, feigning religious reasons.
Origins: (Where is your character from? Unless your character comes from Ecumenopolis, aside from naming your planet, you will also have to describe it. The description does not need to be long. Two or three sentences suffice) Kuvira's original home was a small moon orbiting a gas giant on the outer rim of the galaxy, before it was destroyed by the local Barons' forces. It is of no consequence. The survivors of the massacre searched for decades for a new home, one where the Imperium would either never find, or never be able to effectively attack. When all hope seemed lost, and under swift pursuit by Imperial Guard battleships, Kuvira's father ordered the convoy into the Nostrom Badlands (located on the Border of the Mid Rim and Outer Rim of the Galaxy), an area of space assailed by interstellar anomalies and interdimensional storms. The battleships, knowing they wouldn't survive, sent in several smaller fighters, who returned and reported no sign of the Elven fugitives. The Imperial Guard vessels left, assuming the ships had been destroyed. The Nostrom Badlands are nearly impassable, only diminutive Fighters can reliably navigate its treacherous waters, while smaller Freighters can make their way through with the help of a map of the safe harbors of real space within the storms. In some of these harbors, often referred to as Enclaves, lie habitat stations populated by Elves, the largest and most influential of which known as The Sanctuary.
Starting Location: (Where is your character now? If they are not on a starship or in the Ecumenopolis, then you have to name and describe the planet they are on) The Sanctuary, the largest habitat station within the Nostrom Badlands. Home to about 3000 Elves, it suffers from constant shortages of even the most basic necessities. Only the bravest smugglers from the Imperium dare to make supply runs to the Enclaves of the Badlands, but there are usually high paying sympathizers in the Imperium to reward their risk.
Strengths: (Any modifications should be mentioned here)
  • Elven Martial Artist - Taught from an early age advanced hand to hand combat. Also an expert at traditional Elven weaponry (No idea what kind of weapons that would be. Help!)
  • Nature Magic Adept - Can communicate with animals, encourage plant growth, manipulate plants.
  • Natural Leader - The Enclaves of the Nostrom Badlands don't any centralized command structure, with the members each adding their own skills and abilities to aid the existence of the whole. With that being said, the de facto leadership of the Enclaves lies in the hands of the most able to lead, with one of them being Kuvira. She is empathetic, wise, patient, and a skilled negotiator.
Weaknesses: (You must have as many weaknesses as strengths. Exceptions are allowed if your strengths are underwhelming or your weaknesses overbearing. But try to ensure that your character is balanced. You are not the strongest character in the Galaxy)
  • Aversion to Violence - Kuvira believes violence is the last option.
  • Traditional Magic - Kuvira has been taught magic by the members of her Sect, and as such it isn't combat oriented like many of the sorcerers of the Imperium. Although it could theoretically be used in an offensive role, her magic is mostly limited by the moral compass ingrained in her training of using it: To grow, create, and enhance life. (It would take intense emotional and physical distress for Kuvira to use her magic to attack another living being.)
Equipment: Various clothing (Elven hand made), small Fighter Ship (minimal weaponry, designed to run from engagements rather than fight).
Biography: (Must be at least three paragraphs long - it should mention family, childhood and your character's career before the start of the RP) Kuvira's family belongs to a nonviolent sect of Elves (The Wind Path), who believe that a drawn out war with the Imperium to be a lost cause. She was born on an Elf colony long since destroyed by the Imperium, and spent her first century alive as a spacer refugee, fleeing the inevitable massacre of her people. After her father discovered the first Enclave and built the Sanctuary habitat station, she devoted herself to building a viable home for her people, dedicating her magical skills to building Hydroponic farms on the various Enclaves. Food production is still a problem, with each farm requiring its own individual Sorcerer.
In recent years, with the Imperium losing stability,
