This roleplay, THE BLACK SUN RISES OVER THALBERG, officially begins on 4 January 2022.

The year is 2021. Political violence in Thalberg is at an all-time high.
The attempted assassination of Jakob Braun, head of the right-wing Forwards For Thalberg Party, opened the gates for much more than just heated debates. The right blamed the left and the left blamed the right, all while President Blomquist and his cabinet were rendered helpless. Radical ideas like fascism, communism, and anarchism, once only ever seen in small groups with no real power have become some of the most popular in the nation. Authority effectively collapsed as riots spread throughout city streets. The economy tanked, and millions were left without basic necessities. It was an anarchist's dream; but it wouldn't be forever. Four factions are trying to take control of the nation through whatever means necessary; the communist People's Vanguard, the fascist Ultranationalist Front, the anarchist Free Territory, and the remnants of the old government, known as the Federalists. Of course, this has attracted nations all over the globe who seek to exploit the situation and put in place their ideal Thalberg.

And that's where you come into place. You will mold the future of Thalberg.

The Federalists attempt to send troops to support their allies, but their troops are encircled by the Free Territory and face heavy losses.
The People's Vanguard is also attempting to intervene in the current fighting between Scottish and Czechoslovakian troops.

The war has truly begun. There is no going back. Burgundy Russia's message is intercepted by the People's Vanguard, who then send a forged message pretending to be from the Federalists. It reads:

"Assistance is not needed from the reds. Move along."

Cernogorians occupy the industrial regions of the country and begin to fortify them.

We meet our "burgundy" comrades, the suprime command of the five hundred thousandth Cernogorian army passes into the hands of Burgundy Russia

The Ultranationalists meets with the Czechoslovakians, aiding them against the Scots.
The Federalists attempt to send troops to support their allies, but their troops are encircled by the Free Territory and face heavy losses.
The People's Vanguard is also attempting to intervene in the current fighting between Scottish and Czechoslovakian troops.

The Free Territory has been pushed out of Hauptstadt, forcing them to retreat far into their lands.

The prime minister expresses his thoughts: "we will not give up, Bolsecevism will never win !!!!!! we will set fire to the leaders of those communist monsters !!!".

It is a rainy day at the border. 60 000 Erloanean railway troops sit in thier RIFVs and armored trains. They sit at the border, ready to crush the communists. Typhon-class 510mm railway guns send shells every minute up to 110 kilometers away.

Permians in Burgundist uniforms seize the forested coastal region, which they use as a base for not very active, but pretty professional strikes against the ultranationalists.

Nicola Rieger responds to this news on the People's Vanguard primary news network, the Stimme des Volkes:
"We thank the Burgundy Russians and the Cernagorians for their continued cooperation, and we especially thank those in Moscow for joining our pact. I promise that, together, we shall bring back the glorious Soviet Republic of Thalberg, minus the human rights violations of course. We request they send some of their men to advance upon the anarchist aggressors alongside us, for they are our first major obstacle.

The communist forces suffer heavy losses from Erloane's forces in the middle of their assault on the anarchists, slowly advancing back into their territory and leaving the Free Territory's troops to fight the foreigners on their own, leaving them in state of disarray.

The Czechoslovakians use their telecommunications safeguard units to attempt to disrupt communications between the federalists and the communists. Meanwhile, the Czechoslovakian troops continue their advance with the aid of mustard gas.

The combined force of the Ultranationalists and Czechoslovaks further encircle Scottish positions. The Führer offers the Scots a compromise:

"Surrender immediately and leave Ultranationalist territory. This is the only option."

The Anarchists now face a two-front war against the Federalists and the People's Vanguard. They call for support from fellow anarchists.

Soon a large airfield has been captured, meaning that heavy air assault corps will be on thier way soon. Erloanean soldiers set up trenches and spots for Typhons and armored trains, while they wait for reinforcements to be airlifted.
