Offensive: 7
Defensive: 9
Goalkeepers: Owen Harvey, Sam Dixon
Defenders: Anthony Butler, William Therrien, Peter Reynolds, Melvin Morin, Jason Manchester
Midfielders: James Loera, Charles Levesque, Johnnie Sparks, Robert Baumgardner, James Murrell
Forwards: Terry Riley, Jessie Reyes, Frank Clark, Warren Ballard
Formations: 4-3-3, 4-2-4
Origin: The most popular sport in Coldwoods is American football by far, followed by hockey and baseball. Rich multi-billionaire, Jack McKinely, is a big fan of football and found it baffling that there was no soccer at any level past high schools in Coldwoods and formed the Coldwoods Men's National Football Team on December 24th, 2021. McKinely had to make many improvisions to get a team together in time for the 2022 WIC. Most notably, McKinely had to scrape together a team of high school students from across Coldwoods. With little interest among the populace for football, lack of talent, and the fact that high school teams are the highest level football was played at, this forced McKinely to find players among teenagers. Second, the team holds no permanent home because of its late founding. McKinely is in negotiations to purchase the Northern Goldstar Airlines Morganstown Stadium but has only managed to negotiate temporary usage. Other stadiums across Coldwoods have agreed to temporarily let the team use it. Lastly, McKinely had no takers to coach the boys, forcing him to use his own son, Michael McKinely, to coach the team. Twenty-six-year-old McKinely played football in high school and spent time overseas working as an aide to another team. Despite the odds being stacked against the team, the boys are jubilated and going to give their all.

Strategy:Laeden's team adopts a 4-4-2 tactical scheme, which allows for a greater volume of play in the middle of the field and gives mobility to midfielders, who can quickly support an offensive and rebuild the defense. The characteristics of the wings Remillard (14) and Papineau (31), two young and very fast players, make the team naturally prone to counterattack plays. The tactical scheme allows the team to play comfortably on defense with a high density of players, waiting for some flaw in the rival team's play to exploit opportunities for speedy counterattacks from the sides. The solidity of the 4-4-2 scheme also allows the team to work the exchange of passes, using triangulations to beat the rival marking. However, as the team is mostly young, speed plays are generally the preferred form of play. In general, Laeden's national team plays very effectively against teams that are slower and adopt a strategy of field dominance and possession of the ball. Among the weaknesses of Laeden's team are the aerial play and, to a lesser extent, the long-kicks.

I was busy with other stuff and then spent a while looking stuff up because I don't know much about football. Oh well, gonna submit it anyway because I spent too much time to just delete it
Nicknames: Tēnāfear ōfeo tā (The Emperor's Choice)
Offensive: 9
Defensive: 5
Goalkeepers: Limo Peme Mbalimbera (L.N Sāmāto Sāndēko)
Defenders: Kshírdáq Agxashlúm (Ã́ma Qũmgũksh SH), Lēfe Rōʻi Mbemo (L.N Hirā) Amba Fili Ngāme (L.N Lāpami-Teme), Hika Pōkō Mbangā (L.N Foleta)
Midfielders: Rekā Nepi Ngekā (Pēfōposao Ngoohāo) Harry Wilkins-Smith (New East Anglia FC), Jō Jinēj (L.N Sāmāto Sāndēko)
Forwards: Dauts-ve Tetsi (P.H Thudh Rǎmǎ) Hohā Ninesā Mbomba (multiple, currently L.N Lāpami-Teme), Lēse Onga Ndire (L.N Ngaʻe Ndo)
Formations: 4-3-3

Notable Players: Mbomba is considered the ace of the team, arguably the best Mbokandan footballer of all time, an incredibly skilled striker who has scored 547 goals and had a long career playing for L.N Foleta, L.N Hirā and L.N Lāpami-Teme. However, he has a reputation for being arrogant and abrasive, and could lead to internal strife within the team.
Harry Wilkins-Smith (New East Anglia FC) was a very controversial pick in Mbokeando due to being a Georgelander, and gets along very poorly with Rekā Nepi Ngekā, of Pēfōposao Ngoohāo, a team whose feud with NEA FC is as politically motivated as professionally.
Amba Fili Ngāme is a very good defender, but getting rather old and suffers from occasional bouts of chronic leg pain.

There’s always the Gael championship of national teams - forget what it is called though or when it is. Ayem could probably shed more light on that.
