ConLangs

Postby Myyrha » Wed Dec 08, 2021 8:38 am

I have been so obsessed with linguistics for as long as I can even remember, I am a super nerd over it and when I'm out of high school I want to pursue a career in the field. I made a conlang for my country and was interested to see who else has and maybe talk to people about their conlang and make friends!

ConLang = Constructed language (language you made up) if you don't know but if you've made a language then you probably do know what this means.

(Dear mods, if this is the wrong place to post this or it already exists I'm sorry, I couldn't find it.)

I have a Conlang as well. Known as Ashtraan'a, and it is explained about in my factbooks. However, I'm not that much well-versed in linguistics - so not really that much complex stuff explained.

I just took a quick look since I'm in class. It is SO aesthetically pleasing to read! I haven't finished my Myyrian fact book yet but I'm hoping to finish soon.

Emnian is an a posteriori conlang based on the Cannanite languages (i.e. Phoenician, Hebrew, and their closest relatives)

I made a conlang as well, the fact that it is an artificial language is a bit too obvious (it doesn't look very natural) as I created it initially when bored one day but it's a work in progress. There are a few very messy factbooks (not all are entirely current).

My country doesn't has a structured conlang, but if it had, it might be something like this:

"Anorgar azornimor nirigavor agorinior onirigon"

It uses only the vowels A, O, and I, and uses predominantly the consonants N,M,Z,G and R. It's words usually end with the consonants R and N, and is inspired in the RPG's place names.

Just wanted to say that if anyone is interested in developing a language for their nation, there are tools on the internet that allow for you to specify parameters to generate languages.

i.e. https://www.vulgarlang.com/
