SULTANATE OF OONTAZ DERT LI NG
NATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL TEAM

This is the thirteenth time that Oontaz Dert Li Ng will be participating in the AOCAF. Oontaz got through undefeated in the group stage of the Baptism of Fire 61 but was knocked out in the round of 16 by Arioslavia. The nation is a mix of Muslims and Catholics, with the Mohammedans concentrated in the northern part of the country and the Christians living mostly in the southern islands. Despite a turbulent early history which saw both religious groups fighting constant wars and rebellions, by the time Abanhfleft came and established diplomatic relations with the nation in 1921, a general "peace" had settled between the two groups, and today both are content to consider each other as Oontazniks. Despite being a sultanate, the freedom of religion is valued by the nation, although it would be good advice to say that while the Catholics and Christians might be welcoming, even accommodating, to foreigners of strange new religions, the Muslims might not be so welcoming.

BASIC INFORMATION
Name of nation: Sultanate of Oontaz Dert Li Ng
Demonym: Oontaznik
Nickname: Lions of Sand and Sea
Team colors: Green and white
Style modifier: -2.0 (Defensive this time around)
Formation: 4-2-3-1
Head coach: Faris Feraoun (56 y/o, Oontaz Dert Li Ng)

STARTERS
GK: Usamah ROBERTS-INGLES 38 y/o, Botafogo de Maranao Image (captain)
Finally, after many long years of waiting, Usamah is finally the starting goalkeeper for the Lions of Sand and Sea. And just in time too, as it appears that he has finally reached the age of maturity where goalkeepers actually become a great force between the sticks and a guiding light to the rest of the team.

RB: Burhaan SIAHAYA 32 y/o, Vay Deg Eels A.F.C. Image (Copper Cuprum)

RCB: Halim GUEROUABI 32 y/o, Atletico Bed Deg Image (Copper Cuprum)
Guerouabi's main role is simply to sit in front of the goalkeeper and stop balls from getting through. Long legs and a large body help him achieve this objective easily enough for a defensive-minded team like Atletico Bed Deg and the Sultanate national football team. He can also head balls away in defense or score headers from corner kicks in offense. Also has a history of handballs, so that is one thing an opponent can use to their advantage.

LCB: Ghazi SALEM 32 y/o, General Santos FC Image

LB: Ibrahim JELASSI 30 y/o, Pasargad Manitogoro Image

DM: Dov BUVLIL 33 y/o, Gryphons Nubalochi Image

CM: MURIEL Nigeriano 20 y/o, Botafogo de Maranao Image

RW: Kurnia SETIAWAN HANDOKO 32 y/o, Botafogo de Maranao Image

CAM: Mubarak ZIDANE 30 y/o, Rotor Dnistrosh Image (Pridnestrovia)

LW: Stephen MARBUN 28 y/o, Esteghlal Omidinabad Image

FW: Eduardo "TRES" Ximenes Kimura 30 y/o, Athletic Dorfdifving Image (Abanhfleft)

RESERVES
GK: Rashiddo EL HAROUN 22 y/o, Esteghlal Omidinabad Image on loan from Pasargad Manitogoro Image

GK: Aziz MEKHLOUFI 27 y/o, Gryphons Nubalochi Image

DEF: William Darnell "Willie" ARABEJO 27 y/o, Esteghlal Omidinabad Image

DEF: Tirto "BUDI" Dharmawijaya 31 y/o, Etazig Petroleum SC Image

DEF: ANAS IMAM 20 y/o, Gryphons Nubalochi Image

DEF: Djet ARIYADI 21 y/o, Ludogorets Markovsky Image (Abanhfleft)

MID: Burhan BOUTEFLIKA 35 y/o, Hapoel Nineveh Image
Marauder best describes Bouteflika's role in the midfield, both for NIneveh and the Sultanate. He roams around the middle of the pitch, watching and waiting for the ball to arrive anywhere near him so he can steal it off of the opposing player or at the very least allow a fellow defender to cut out the chance before it becomes dangerous. But it's easy to counter this by just playing the ball at the part of the midfield where Bouteflika is farthest away. This could open up gaps in the Sultanate's defenses.

MID: Seif DAHER 34 y/o, Gryphons Nubalochi Image
From the middle of the park, Daher can ping a pass to a flea sitting on a blade of grass somewhere inside the opposition's third. Unfortunately he has the turning radius of an oil tanker and the acceleration of a fully loaded freight train. His best use is sitting in the middle of the field, receiving the ball there and moving it on quickly. Any attempt to use him in a defensive capacity will only result in tears, cards, and penalties.

MID: Sandro "TONTO" Albuquerque Lopes 27 y/o, General Santos FC Image

FW: Abram TUMANGGOR 33 y/o, Botafogo de Maranao Image

FW: Arthur SUPRATNO 34 y/o, Malabon SC Image (Abanhfleft) (vice-captain)
Supratno has had a rollercoaster of a season. He scored the goal that won Malabon SC the Globe Cup against Schottia's Port Sebastian, but the season immediately after that he was unable to help the Ravens retain their FPL status. Despite his relegation though, Supratno has remained loyal to Malabon, and with his status as a 20-goal-per-season striker now cemented, it's only a matter of when and not if Malabon will be promoted back to the Fleftic top flight.

FW: WEYVERLEY Lopes da Costa 35 y/o, Tarbayog Aguilas Image
Weyverley was supposed to be one of the Sultanate's biggest footballing stars by now. Everyone's eyes were on him when he started tearing up the Fleftic Unang Liga and Premier League with Antslinngs Islands. Weyverley was too good to be playing in the second tier of Abanhfleft, and CSKA Tiraspol swiftly scooped him up in their bid to return to relevance in Pridnestrovia. Unfortunately, this was where Weyverley's attitude problems started to surface, and after getting into fights with both his teammates and the bouncers of the clubs he frequented in Tiraspol, Weyverley was soon shown the door. He's been trying to recover some of the form that he showed in Antslinngs back home in the Sultanate only to end up bouncing around from club to club.

AO Bowl 5 & 2nd AO Rugby 7's Championship Preliminary Information

Image

Professional football in the Commonwealth is not as deeply rooted in sporting culture as the collegiate version, but it still draws huge crowds and television ratings.
The Professional Football Division is organizing this edition of AO Bowl, and will have the reigning champion Shirley Dragons as the representative team for Baker Park's entry.

Games will be played at four venues in relatively close proximity to one another, and the Final will take place at Jacob F Gleason Field on the campus of the University of the Commonwealth, well known to fans across the region and the multiverse from broadcasts of NSCF games.

Two groups of five teams each will play their opponents in their group, with the top two finishers in each group advancing to the semi-finals. Games will be played under the WBXXXI standards with IFAF overtime for all games. Tie-breaking will consist of head to head results and point differential.

Groups
A--Turori, Sarzonia, Delaclava, Baker Park, Busoga Islands, Gyatso-kai
B--Banija, Saint Kanye, Milchama, The Cordian Isles, Schima Bas, Geisenfried

MacIlwaine Park Stadium, St Warren (23,000)
Image

will host group games and one semi-final. Located adjacent to the campus of St Warren State University and serving as the home field of the Bulldogs, it is actually a municipally owned venue. Named after David MacIlwaine, considered the "Father" of the nation's Constitution, the Commonwealth of Baker Park Act (CBPA)

Riverside City Stadium, Riverside (18,000)
Image

will be the site of the other semi-final and also group round contests. Accessible from Belle Haven via CARTA's (Capital Area Rapid Transit Authority) Black Line, the stadium gets plenty of gridiron action from the city's high school league, and Riverside City JC.

Hillsborough Stadium, Belle Haven (17,500)
Image

There's been sport played on the site of "The Hill" for over 115 years; home of Hillsborough FC, the University of Belle Haven, and high school football, scene of countless memorable moments. On the Blue Line, just one stop east from the Ellis Park Station junction with the Gold Line.

Olympic Ground, Mansfield (19,800)
Image

The only stadium being used that is actually the home of a PFD club, Mansfield Marauders, seven times league champions; the city has been the heart of the automotive industry in Baker Park from the earliest development of self-propelled vehicles. Has become the center of the Banijan/Busogan diaspora to Baker Park, making it the fastest growing metro area of the Commonwealth's 'second wave" group of cities (which includes St Warren and Riverside).

Gleason Field, College Hill, Asbury Park (47,306)
Image

Prior to the opening of the BBP National Stadium, Gleason was the second largest stadium in the Commonwealth, with just slightly more capacity (300 persons) than Collins Park in Oceana. With the BBP in use for the AOCAF, the decision was made to have the AO Bowl Championship at the largest venue available.

The tournament will be scored on the three bye days of the AOCAF.

Following on from the success of the debut edition of the AO Rugby Championship, the event will once again be hosted in Middletown, Ezra. A smaller field will bring a change in format as the tournament fixtures will be contested at Barnitz Stadium over two days rather than three.

With eleven nations entered, there will be one group of 6 nations and one group of 5; the schedule has been designed to not put any nation in either group at a disadvantage. The knockout rounds for the Championship Cup, Bowl consolation and the Linus Inniscragthie Memorial Plate will take place under the lights on the second day of the event. The top two finishers in each group will advance to the Cup semi-final, the third and fourth place sides will go to the Bowl semis, and the bottom two nations from Group A and the fifth placed team from Group B will play a round robin to determine the Plate winner.

Barnitz Stadium, Middletown (21,000)

home to the University of Middletown Greyhounds as well as Middletown RFC--the most successful club in number of trophies won all time--is the spiritual home of the oval ball code in the Commonwealth. Tropicor AOCAF Roster

Postby Tropicorp » Sun Dec 05, 2021 1:15 am

Image

Tropicorp began their competitive Footsport program during AOCAF 49 with their first ever match a respectable 0-3 defeat to regional super powers Valanora. The purpose of their participation was to determine if the regional footsport tournament would be a suitable environment for the testing of products such as athletic gear produced by Tropicorp Sports. During AOCAF 50, Tropicorp put out a call amongst a subset of its scientists, researchers and engineers for support on an ongoing project. The project saw Tropicorp scientists, researchers, engineers and other such guinea pigs wearing special fabrics with electronic measuring devices sewn into them in order to aid in their measurements and calculations. The data collected during AOCAF 50 was absolutely invaluable to the project. The experiments were a success and Tropicorp Engineers have been putting the data to the test at Tropicorp locations in Tropicoast and also at a new facility at an undisclosed location, also on Calania. During AOCAF 51, the scientists, researchers and engineers returned to collect some final data points to push them towards the final phase of the project. However, a strange thing happened during AOCAF 51 - the Tropicorp Scientists - perhaps a result of their own detailed research of the game, began not only to be competitive, but to win matches. The Techies actually qualified for the Knockout Rounds and stunned many with their performances until ultimately being knocked out by host and eventual champion nation Valanora.

From there, Tropicorp became a testing ground for the joint Tropicorp-Cocoabo Park led Cocoabo Enrichment and Enhancement Project. The Cocoabo proved to hold their own on the pitch and proved that they were ready for action, seeing action during World Cup 78 Qualifying for Turori and during the XII Olympiad in Novanaya and Vekaiyu - with the Cocoabo team making it all the way to the Olympic final before losing to Darmen and earning the Silver Medal. Until the Cocoabo lift the NS World Cup trophy, however, the work for the scientists and researchers from Tropicorp and Cocoabo Park will not be done. They will continue tweaking, continue training, and continue CEEPing. Now, the focus for the Tropicorp Team is not to perfect the Cocoabo Squad, but to study the makeup of the 'optimum' team - a hybrid Citizen-Cocoabo Roster that could one way or another shape the future of footsport in the Vilitan Cove. This experiment is expected to continue through an entire generation of Cocoabo. While the current generation have made improvements in collaborating on field with Citizen players, they were bred to function as a singular unit. Only with the next generation of Cocoabo is it believed that full, seamless integration between Citizen and Cocoabo players will be possible.

Tropicorp is expected to leverage its citizen players more heavily during AOCAF LXIV due to the fact that the Cocoabo have been exhausted participating in other competitions recently and will soon be off again to participate in the 15th Summer Olympic Games. However, the Cocoabo are still available for selection if required and may look for more action after missing their opportunity to play other regional competitions during this cycle.

Eligibility to compete on Team Tropicorp is defined as follows:
 • Currently Employed by Tropicorp or in Retiree status with Tropicorp
 • Has resided 3+ Years in Vilita, Turori or Tropicoast

Vilitan Defender Moumouni Verre'elali is eligible for Team Tropicorp as a citizen of Vilita and employee of Tropicorp through Tropicorp FC, however the defender has once again been chosen for the Vilita and Turori AOCAF Squad preventing their participation with Team Tropicorp.

Der Geisenfried Königlich Fußball-Verband Präsentieren:
(the Geisenfried Royal Football Association presents)

DIE OFFIZIELLE GEISENFRIED NATIONALMANNSCHAFT FÜR AOCAF FÜNFUNDSECHSZIG
(the Official Roster of the Geisenfried National Team for AOCAF 65)

Team Nickname: Die Steinadler / The Golden Eagles
Style Modifier: -1.8
Base Formation: 4-5-1
Manager: Gerhard Brückner

Brückner made his name as the head of 1. FSV Dözel in the Geisenliga, and was renowned for tough defensive sides. He's brought that reputation in spades to this Geisen national side, which has performed above expectations in their return to play largely thanks to a solid back-half. His preference is a cautiously-minded but flexible 4-5-1, with the wing midfielders pressing forward as needed into a pseudo 4-3-3 for more offensive output. It's worked well so far - Geri's strong performance in the previous AOCAF and World Cup 89 qualifying have won him considerable job security, though a middling Cup of Harmony performance has soured expectations somewhat. Following that up with an unimpressive AOCAF may start deflating confidence.

Primary kit has a red and black checkered front, with black sleeves. Back is red with black numbering and lettering, and the shorts are also black. Socks are red with black tops.
Secondary kit has a white and red checkered front, with red sleeves. Back is white with red numbering and lettering, and the shorts are also red. Socks are white with red tops.
Goalies wear a gold jacket with long black sleeves and black numbering and lettering. Shorts are also black. Socks are black with gold tops.

GOALKEEPERS:
GK 1 Loewen JUERGENSEN - Darnesmark FC (34)
GK 12 Niko SAUBER - VfS Königseifert (26)
GK 23 Adam WEXLER - Königs FC (23)

Likely a last hurrah cycle for the veteran netminder Juergensen. Still, he's maintained his form, both as a national team member, with nearly a dozen clean sheets to his name since the team's return - roughly half their matches - as well as with his domestic performances at Darnesmark. But Father Time awaits for no man, and Sauber has developed into one of the strongest keepers in the domestic league. If things start looking shaky, there might be a quicker than expected hook to see what exactly Sauber has for the national side.

DEFENDERS:
RWB 22 Kevan ROSBERG - Gryphons FC (24)
LWB 3 Kaspar EBERHARDT - Königs FC (22)
RCB 4 Dominik SCHROEDER - 1. FSV Dözel (27)
LCB 6 Bastian THÄLMANN - SV Silbern Sileväl (31)

LDF 13 Olivier LUDOVIC - Darnesmark FC (24)
CDF 14 Yakouba AGYENIM - Eintracht Rödis (23)
RDF 2 Dierk MESSER - 1. FSV Dözel (28)

Perhaps the biggest revelation of the previous cycle was the breakout of Kaspar Eberhardt. Yes, he'd been the promising young wing back who oozed potential, one of Königs' bright young stars that they seem to have an endless supply of to help keep them at the top of the league. But few expected him to take such a commanding role for the national team from the start, becoming the team's primary creator from the back. In fact, this reliance on Eberhardt's production was made painfully obvious during the Cup of Harmony, when a ill-advised challenge left him off the field for a game and a half wherein the Geisen team struggled mightily. To try and alleviate that weakness, it appears Geri Brückner has decided to put old loyalties aside, benching Dierk Messer and calling up Kevan Rosberg of the high scoring Gryphons FC out of Greifeläs. While possibly more of a liability on the back, he nonetheless should be more of a creator than the more defensively-minded Messer and take some of the pressure off Eberhardt when trying to create out of the wings, hopefully alleviating the one-sidedness of Geisenfried's attack. That said, Messer's still around in case Rosberg falters. It's not all bad for representatives of Brückner's old team though - Dözel has picked up Dominik Schroeder off Kalffe, and true to Brückner's preference for size in his center backs, he and Sileväl stalwart and captain Bastian Thälmann return as twin towers anchoring the backfield.

MIDFIELDERS:
DMF 5 Seth DRESCHNER - August Gründer (30)
RWM 7 Raffaele GRÜNEBERG - Kaiserstadt Altien (28)
RCM 18 Ekweume IHEJIRIKA - Lüthessien Sportlich (23)
LCM 10 Ferdinand ROESSLER - VfS Königseifert (25)
LWM 11 Djibril KAYODE - Heimüller SC (24)

DMF 15 Brandt SEIDEL - Club Kalffe (26)
LMF 16 Julien FALKENRATH - Gryphons FC (21)
RMF 8 Josef VOIGHT - Heimüller SC (25)
AMF 20 Matthias AMSEL - Königs FC (20)

If it wasn't for Eberhardt, the attention-grabber for the last cycle probably would have been Djibril Kayode, who turned from a promising winger on Rödis to one of the star scorers on the national team. Though the synergy between him and Eberhardt led to many rumors of a purchase by the top-ranked Königs, it would be Heimüller who would end up pulling the trigger, acquiring him for the highest transfer price of the season. He's continued to blossom for the top team of Geisenfried's second city, but it's come at the cost of Josef Voight, who has been somewhat slumping domestically and so finds himself on the second line. In his place comes Ekweume Ihejirika, who's been showing up for a feisty Sportlich squad over in Lüthessien, making it a pair of Banijan descendants on the starting squad. Roessler has continued to be the standout player on Königs' eternal rivals VfS and so returns in center mid, while Dreschner's steady presence as a holding defensive midfielder has been a key part of Geisenfried's success keeping opposing offenses at bay. He'll continue to hold the armband. There's been a lot of waves about Matthias Amsel, so don't be surprised if he starts getting more minutes, especially if Geisenfried needs more offensive spark power. While Falkenrath has also been promising, he remains somewhat stuck behind the loaded amount of talent on the Golden Eagles' left half.

STRIKERS:
CF 9 Mikkel CHRISTENSEN - Königs FC (28)
RS 17 Felix SCHNEIDER - VfS Königseifert (23)
CF 19 Clement HOLST - Gryphons FC (24)
LS 21 Olamilekan ADEBAYO - Kapetägien Verein (22)

Outside of the keepers, this position group has seen the least amount of change - perhaps surprisingly, given that it was Geisenfried's offense that was most often the struggle. But perhaps one's willing to attribute that to tactical preferences - Geisenfried's tendencies to overload the box does leave the lone striker to do a lot of work, even with the support of the wing midfielders. And in the role, Mikkel Christensen has performed admirably, even as questions concerning the Golden Eagles' scoring output mount. The continuing development of the high-flying Holst, who's waiting in the wings, is unlikely to quiet any of those whispers, especially if Geisenfried struggles to score again. Schneider and Adebayo are no slouches either, though a bit more raw. But for now, Brückner's putting his faith in the veteran striker. Time will tell if that ends up being well-advised.

Mostly, just be reasonable. Don't kill or maim anyone on or off the field, keep cards and injuries reasonable unless cleared with me first, and mostly just keep things within the realm of realism, and you should be good.

The Cordasfjord Post
AOCAF: Group D Preview

Cordasfjord, Cordia- Here comes the AOCAF... a steam train that's either about to run the Cordian national team over, or drag it along to glory. Likely the former. There will be no easy wins for Cordia in Group D, and the team is liable to experience a blowout (or four) if it can't keep up. Group D doesn't need power rankings, as anyone can look and establish the hierarchy, so instead we'll look at how each team has done in recent competitions, starting with ourselves.

Cordia: In its only football competition to date, this unranked team defeated Qasden en route to a 4th-place finish at Sarzonia's Mike Sarzo Memorial Trophy. This makes the group stage matchup intriguing; if the Cordians have done it before, who says they can't do it again? Other than that match, there's not much to say here other than that this could be a team to watch in the Baptism of Fire and future years.

Geisenfried: Geisenfried are the group's Pot 4 team and Cordia's best chance at a victory in this AOCAF. They went 1-0-2 in the last edition, but their one win came as a surprise - a shocking upset over Banija which put the then-top-ranked team in AO into a near-panic as they only advanced to the knockouts on GD. This loss probably put the team off, as they failed to qualify for the World Cup proper despite being ranked fifth in the world. But that's Banija, not Geisenfried. On their side of things, the victory shows that they play hard in big matches, and while they might be the easiest win, they're nowhere close to being an easy win.

Oontaz: The Sultanate of Oontaz has been around for a while, and is ranked 21st in AO. In the last AOCAF, they qualified for the knockouts with just a single win, making it on goal differential before going down 2-0 to the Busoga Islands in the Round of 16. Interestingly, they limited themselves to regional competition in the last cycle. This AOCAF they're running a more defensive playstyle and a draw could be possible if the Cordians can get points on the board.

Qasden: Qasden is a pot 2 team, ranked eleventh in AO. They went 2-0-1 in the last AOCAF before falling in the Round of 16. Two of the teams in the group have played Qasden recently. On MD 1 of the last AOCAF, Qasden scored a 1-0 win over Geisenfried. Then, in the Woodstock Regional Finals in Sarzonia, Cordia scored twice to take the victory over Qasden. Qasden runs a very defensive playstyle, scoring few goals but allowing even fewer. Cordia could take advantage of this to try and squeeze some points out of the pot 2 team.

Vilita and Turori: Where even to start. On their own, these teams are a hard draw. Together? That's just plain scary. In the last AOCAF, this combined team's only loss was in the semifinals, to second-place Valanora while they took third themselves. In the World Cup, the nations competed separately. While Vilita lost a World Cup playoff on penalties, Turori qualified and made the run all the way to fourth place. There are no expectations for the match against this team. Just keeping it close would be an accomplishment.

As a whole, this is a very defensive group, with Qasden, Oontaz, and Geisenfried all playing defensive football. Expect low scores and (perhaps hopefully for Cordians) plenty of draws. Don't expect Cordia to make the knockouts. While that would be great, it's highly unlikely and getting your hopes up would only serve to let you down. The good part of this tournament is that it will get the players used to elite football and the whole feel of international play in time for the Baptism of Fire; a big advantage if you ask me.

Mamma Mia
By Tomathan Hammerland

You can't make me do the report, yet, we haven't even started playing yet! A preview? The hell they need a preview for? They got the internet, they don't need *this* part of the internet. Wait, why am I typing this? What kind of self dialogue is this? Forget it, let's do a quickie so I don't have to go on the run again.

So, AOCAF 64. That was something, right? Emotional rollercoaster of a group stage that ended with a Round of 16 match scrumptiously glazed in a syrup of absolute despair. Sylvia Zimari, the first female manager that got all the milk and cookies back in 62, was about to be put out of a job. Despite having a tenure half as long as her predecessor, the painstaking inability to defeat Baker Park just became too much for QAFA and the overall national atmosphere. It was either her head or the street lamps, and my lord, we need street lamps. So it was decided among the big wigs that she needed to go; though when the biggest and wiggest of them all intervenes, things suddenly get a bit more newsworthy. Zachary Sedsten, Prime Minister of Qasden and former head of QAFA, put his political career on the line by proposing an immediate resignation from parliament, should the Vans not qualify for the World Cup in Tikariot and South Newlandia. The offer was quickly endorsed by the opposition, led by More Taxes Party leader, Borin Gname.

As expected, the Vans didn't qualify. Sedsten attempted to backtrack on his words, but a dramatic showing from earlier statements proved to make any escape from the situation impossible without divine retribution. For a good while, Qasden had no real leader, bar the figurehead in Prince Franz-Pierre. In the next election, the More Taxes Party would only win 15% of the national vote, but thanks to some negotiations with the Masochist Party, Gname would ultimately become PM.

Great, now I gotta pay more on my mansion for one. Why did I vote Masochist? No matter, it's that time of year to get distracted from these things, anyways, so I'm gonna do this instead.

AOCAF 65, one of the only regional tournaments left yet to start. In preparation for a World Cup bid, the nations of Vilita and Baker Park (with special guests, Turori and Tropicorp) organized the sole requirement needed to host, an unwillingness to by everyone else in the region. With Zimari's failure in qualifiers and no Sedsten to protect her, QAFA spun the wheel of fate once again to see if we'd get anyone cool. After letting it spin for, like, 5 seconds, the arrow was firmly stopped on Icarus Darsten. The former NT captain-turned-ass. manager was the popular successor choice from the get-go, what with him already being one of the most famous Qads in sports. After the waving of a metaphorically physical wad of cash in his face, Icarus agreed to be the public's muse for all things bad in our lives, tethering fellow teammate, Ryan Xandreas, down with him. The duo plan to manager with similar levels of power and drive, making them appear more-so like co-managers than anything else. Xandy's only real experience in this world was the Mike Sarzo Memorial Trophy, which he botched 2 games in. Still, we need someone and don't feel like searching the unmarked graveyards of Rushmore to find Gaston Rolf.

Unlike Zimari, Darsten plans to focus on offense, taking a more proper squint at who can score up front rather than who can keep the ball away from Waluigi the best. Will this work? Fduck if I know, fduck if I care. I'm just here to show you who we're trying to beat off the bat. The group consists of multiple nations that we've fought in previous tournies, starting with the big daddy (or, more properly, big eel-cat thing), Vilita and Turori. The dynamic duo last squared up against the NewVans way back in 62, becoming arguably the largest casualty of Zimari's trail to the sea. Turori decided to get juiced at some point, and now this team is bloody terrifying, just shy of blood mary terrifying, which is just the drink spiked with every alcohol in the universe. The game is the first of the Vilitan-hosted group stage, so we can't expect much support for the Vans when we're deep in the heart of Lonngeylin.

For match 2, Geisenfried gets the honor of rematching Qasden again following the hotly contested fiasco from last time's grudge match in Equestria. The Golden Eagles, despite our favorable history, are still pretty damn scary. Big birds bad and junk. While there hasn't been any wars or political tensions that had generated in the aftermath of 64, it'd be a lie to say there probably isn't some latent desire to whoop our asses in payback. Then again, we're already the biggest target, given our Pot 2 status. Match 3 is a bye for us, so snore let's move on to 4 against The Cordian Isles. A debut for the young national team, Cordia gave some pretty good trauma to Xandreas in Sarzonia after knocking the X-Squad out of the tournament early. Granted, we put up an academy team, but the defeat was still horrendous; and with Ryan now helping anchor the nationals, this one may be a bit more for his own ego than anything. Lastly, there's our friends in Oontaz, which is just a fun name to type. Last time we played them was in the first leg of 62 group stages, with things ending positively in our direction (yay promotion!). There's a lot more I can say here, but I gotta set my lineup for fantasy AOCAF, it's the office league and I can't let that bitch Harrison St. Almond win.

Anyways, that's all who we're up against for this tournament. Vilita and Turori are up first, and my Marlene, is this contest gonna be hard to watch. Stay tuned, stay updated, and stay alert for future reports from the teal, tortilla chip-shaped country of Vilita in AOCAF 65!

Now back to fantasy.

Dogsmouth is a curious backwater in the Glorious Southwest. A land that knows only overcast and rain, towns sparsely spread among the vast marshflats and forested swamps, and populated by the sort of people that are happy to call it home. The Dogi (pronounced similar to the Venetian title--or, yes, the meme) are easily spotted by their long, rough hair, toothy grins, and wild eyes.

Manager - Meredyth Shepherd - The most decorated Dogi manager of recent memory while leading Oakport. Known to be a taskmaster.

DM - Emma Tirrell - Omniscient (metaphorically).
LM - Shyla Benn - Strong left boot. Not much else.
CM - Frederick McKenzie - Energetic play, animated personality.
CM - Aureole Rivers - Fancy footwork and solid passing.

Derizi was trained in the the goalkeeper program at the Eelandii Academy. While in Eelandii, the Youth Team qualified for the IFCF Youth Cup after finishing as Top Turorian Youth side in the Tropicorp Youth Cup. Performances for the Academy resulted in a contract with Sporta Eelandii Senior Squad but the Senior Squad was relegated from the Declasse automatically triggering a release clause for the young goalkeeping prospect. Instead of staying local, Derizi opted to take their talents to Eura joining Revolutionaries as they look to take their career to the next level overseas. Amatopa’s first internationstatal tournament came with the Vilitan Union at the XIV Olympic Games and the youngster would earn a Gold Medal despite not appearing in any of the matches. It was a different situation during the 50th Di Bradini Cup when Amatopa started in three of Vilita & Turori’s 7 matches in route to the championship. Amatopa would also start the majority of matches for the Turori National Team during Eagle’s Cup X where Turori earned the Bronze Medal. On a Domestic level, Amatopa took over as starting goalkeeper for Revolutionaries at the age of 18 and earned Goalkeeper of the Season Honors during EuraLeague 45 after leading Revolutionaries to the Euraleague Title. Amatopa became a World Cup Champion when Turori defeated The Holy Empire to win World Cup 88. Amatopa led all Turori goalkeepers with seven starts in the Qualifying round as well as having started one match during the World Cup 88 Finals.

Milake's domestic career wouldn't go as smoothly, however, and after spending 2 seasons in the Declasse after Lonngeylin Coast's relegation, the World Cup winner returned to his roots, re-signing for high-flying Eastal Lunar in Season 46. Offspring of famed Vilitan netminder Zelkki Milake, one of the youngest Starting netminders in history to win the World Cup Final (World Cup 68), Milake has followed in their fathers footsteps by taking on the Goalkeepers Gloves and now trains under their father at Eastal Lunar FC. While not expected to compete for a place on the Vilitan National Team anytime soon, the sky is the limit for the Astronaut Trainee who is also, quite literally, an Astronaut Trainee attending school at the Astronaut Academy at the nearby Vilitan Space Outpost. Milake Jr.’s debut would come as a surprise starter against Delaclava on the second matchday of the 50th Di Bradini Cup. At just 16 years of age the younger Milake would make a name for themselves winning each of their four starts in the competition and helping to lead Vilita & Turori to their first Under-21 World Cup Title in over 60 cycles. Milake Jr. would make their first start for the Vilitan National Team in a 2-2 draw against Savojarna during the penaltimate matchday of World Cup 88 Qualifying before adding to their Medal Wall as the starting goalkeeper in the Quarter Final and Semi-Final rounds of the Vilitan Union’s XV Olympic Gold Medal Campaign.

TROPHIES :: [ : Olympic Gold Medal : ]
A local player in Kiiarana City, Talingri impressed with their shot-stopping abilities in front of scouts for the Vilitan National Team and was drafted into the Vilita and Turori Eel Cat Things Squad for the 51st Di Bradini Cup Competition as third string behind Derizi Amatopa and Zelkki Milake Jr. Talingri would lead Kiiarana City to the Tropicorp Youth Cup Title. Talingri Would also represent the Vilitan Union in the 15th Summer Olympiad starting two Group stage matches before serving as backup for the remainder of the tournament as the Vilitan Union earned the Gold Medal with a shootout victory over Chromatika. Talingri’s display of talent would earn them a transfer to Monmouth Park in the Commonwealth of Baker Park

It would be Edgeli’s only appearance of the tournament but the Vilita and Turori team would go on to win the remainder of their matches and the 50th Di Bradini Cup Championship. Scored first career International Goal during World Cup 88 Qualifying, Matchday 10 against Baggieland. At the age of 17 Sebapilo became an important member of the Makosile United squad participating in over 50% of the matches during the Makos runner-up campaign that earned promotion to the Vilitan Stellar Division for Season 65. At age 18 Sebapilo would make their internationstatal debut for the Vilita & Turori regional side in the 63rd AOCAF competition in the knockout round defeat to Valanora. Sebapilo would soon collect another first in Valanora starting all seven matches of Vilita & Turori’s 50th Di Bradini Cup campaign, earning their first internationstatal hardware and earning regard as one of the top players of the tournament. After suffering relegation with the Makos following Vilitan League 65, Sebapilo was recruited by IFCF contenders Mliona-Lpaka AFC of Turori.

Trained briefly at the Obaiobao Academy on Turoki Isle before returning to Tropicorp and joining Tropicorp FC. Scored 3 goals in Tropicorp's Season 54 Tropicorp Cup Championship campaign. Trikala's first season in the Vilitan League wasn't especially impressive but the defender provided solid performances as Tropicorp finished impressively in 4th place in the Declasse table. These performances caught the eye of the scouts at Jungle Strike FC who snapped up the young defender as part of their rebuilding project after two consecutive finishes outside the top 5. Trikala got their first taste of triumph with Strike FC during Season 57 as Vilitan Cup Champions. Scored the winning goal for Vilita & Turori in the AOCAF 56 final against Mriin. Was Vilita’s starting central defender in their World Cup 81 Final victory over South Covello. Trikala’s domestic career would take a turn however losing their starting place at Strike FC and making the switch to Cednia Beach AFC in Turori to maintain regular Champions League action.

Koranjo was a product of the Jlinal Cove Academy before relocating to the Under-21 Squad training ground in Tivali City. The impressive prospect became one of the youngest defenders to start a Vilitan NT matchup when they made their debut against Vartugia during World Cup 83 Qualifying and would score their first career goal for the NT later that cycle in a 5-1 victory over Mattijana. With Jlinal Cove FC mired in the Declasse Division as they had been for much of their existence, and with the club retaining Koranjo’s rights in the Vilitan League, the player decided to seek an international transfer during the 26th Transfer Window. Koranjo would ultimately sign with Cazadores Cathair after being impressed with the teams performance in the 6th Vilitan Cove Invitational tournament which Cazadores shared a training ground with the Vilita & Turori Under-21 Squad. Koranjo got their Audioslavia based career off to a flying start helping Cazadores Cathair to the National League Title during the 3rd IFCF Cycle and finishing runner up to Istria City in the Atlantian Oceania Champions League. Koranjo was a veteran player on the Vilita and Turori Under-21 Squad that won the 50th Di Bradini Cup and won the Gold Medal at the XIV Olympic Games with the Vilitan Union. After Colonial Sile failed to qualify for UICA competition in Season 56, the young athlete able to step in anywhere on the field made the switch to Eastal Lunar FC. Katarakhna made their international debut during AOCAF 45 for the Eel-Cat Things but did not commit immediately to playing for Vilita or Turori internationally. After the success of the Cocoabo Squad during World Cup 79 however, the highly touted prospect acceped an invitation to be apart of Vilita's World Cup 80 Qualifying playing pool. The decision would prove to be a good one as Katarakhna was part of Vilita’s World Cup 81 and World Cup 82 championship squads including their first career World Cup Finals goal during the World Cup 82 Quarter Final against Apox. On the domestic side, Katarakhna was a critical member of the squad that elevated Eastal Lunar to complete domestic trifecta over the course of 3 seasons winning the Vilitan Cup during Season 59, the Tropical Trophy for Season 60 and the teams first ever Stellar Division Title during Vilitan League Season 61.

With Jlinal Cove, Rokopolis helped lead the team to the Vilitan Cup Semi-Finals and scored their first career Stellar Division goal against the Kionao Locals. Rokopolis would get the call to the Vilitan National Team during the World Cup 87 Qualification Campaign and would make their debut against Tequilo. Rokopolis scored their first career goal for the National Team in just their second career appearance, netting the fifth goal in a 5-2 rout of Widaya. Sami Samii’i was brought up through the system at Mar Sara FC in Valanora but saw heavy competition for playing time on the left side of midfield. Eventually Mar Sara would loan out the left winger to Olympia Arkintoofle in the Squornshelan Remnant States with the hopes of seeing the youngster gain playing experience and potentially learn to play other positions on the field. Samii’i would make their debut for Vilita and Turori in the 51st Di Bradini Cup appearing twice for the squad. When the Vilita & Turori Under-21 Squad was eliminated by Adab in the Round of 16, it meant that Samii’i, who was not part of Vilita and Turori’s 50th Di Bradini Cup winning squad nor either of the XIV or XV Olympic Gold Medal squads, would be one of the only players of their generation without a major international youth competition medal. During World Cup 89 Qualifying, Samii’i famously missed a penalty kick against Squidroidia in the Playoff match against Squidroidia drawing the ire of the Vilitan Supporters.

A young prospect originally from Mavaloiao, Enzoril Alabonni moved with their family to the main Island to be trained by Marine Coast United at the Crosaibi Academy. The Mavaloier has height well above the others in their age group and as such often switches between a center-back role and a role as an aerial target in attack. Alabonni, playing mostly in defense, would help lead Marine Coast United to their first domestic silverware in over 40 seasons lifting the Vilitan Cup trophy during Season 62. Alabonni’s flexibility would also limit their opportunities as a regular started at the top level but would still get the opportunity to enjoy success both on a regional and international level. Alabonni won the AOCAF 56 title with Vilita & Turori and was a squad player on Vilita’s World Cup 81 and World Cup 82 championship teams.

As a trainee at the Venom Youth Academy, Makakio was invited to the Vilita and Turori squad for the 50th Di Bradini Cup. As an inexperienced academy trainee, Makakio served in a substitute role but made a handful of appearances en route to the side winning the Di Bradini Cup title. Makakio made their full debut for the Turori National Team at Eagle’s Cup X, starting the opening match against Zwangzug. Makakio would go on to make 6 appearances in the competition but was unable to secure their first international goal at the time. Makakio would play a part in Turori's World Cup 88 Triumph but once again did not find themselves on the scoresheet. It wasn't until Matchday 4 of the 51st Di Bradini Cup that Makakio finally netted their first career goal, scoring the second of two in a 2-0 Group Stage victory over Island of the Lost. Makakio would finally break through with their first goal for the Turori National Team during the Quarter Finals of Eagles Cup XI scoring the game winner against Banija.

Head Coach: Nabru RE'YEM
Age: 47 | Years as Head Coach: 1

The former Head Coach of two-time Avatarian Collegiate Sports Confederation National Champions, the Adirolf Gators, Nabru Re'yem was selected from a pool of fifteen collegiate and professional Coaches to command Gyatso-kai's first-ever National Gridiron team. Considered one of the most accomplished practitioners of the spread offence, Re'yem's teams at Bowling Blue, Hatu State, Adirolf, as well as his first professional team in Rev’ned all have run the spread, chiefly utilising a run-first variation, often tweaked to fit his offensive personnel; for example, Re'yem's first two years ad Adirolf skewed toward a drop-back passing attack lead by Risch Keal, while Alex Smith and Mit Wobet lead an option run-based spread. It would be under this offence that Re'yem would win twp ACSC titles, as well as becoming the first coach to lead a non-CBS conference team (Hatu State) to a CBS bowl and coaching a Shaoyin Trophy winner (Wobet) and graduating a player who became a number one overall pick in the Republic Gaan'shuk League (RGL) draft.

General Manager: SUZUKI Haru
Age: 67 | Years At Job: 1

The General Manger of the National Team, Suzuki Haru has had quite the experiences managing teams. First selected as the General Manager of FC Mando back in 1988, he has since bounced between two different sports in three nations; heading FC Mando from 1996-2001, then making the leap to RC United from 2001-2010, and since 2011, heading the Imami Dolphins organisation in the RGL. Announced as the National GM, Suzuki has been incredibly busy travelling around the Republics as well as abroad, seeking players from multiple gridiron leagues who possess Avatarian citizenship to play on the team.

Special Teams Cooridnator: NGUYEN Thomas
Age: 46 | Years At Job: 1

Not much is known is about Nguyen, save that he has been the secondary coach at Adirolf for the past two seasons, and the team has made a strong turn-around to have the #3 ranked secondary in the league when compared to their last-place position in the 2021.1 Season

Offensive Coordinator: YAMAHUCHI Qing
Age: 49 | Years At Job: 1

While most offensive coaches are out on the field during practices, giving players invaluable lessons thanks to years of experience, Yamahuchi is not given such a chance. With Re’yem’s almost-obsessive need to control everything at practice, Yamahuchi is left to call the plays during games and deal with the offensive lessons at team meeting... Poor guy...

Quaterbacks Coach: CHEN Takumi
Age: 49 | Years At Job: 1

Chen spent nearly fifteen years in Avatarian gridiron and gaan'shuk games as a spread quaterback, with all of the intangibles which made him great. The simple fact that he has such a wealth of knowledge at his disposal makes him probably one of the best QB coaches around to develop the still-young talents of Wobet and Notwen; both of whom are constantly criticized in the RGL for their ‘unique’ styles.

Running Backs Coach: SATO Yuudai
Age: 56 | Years At Job: 1

An impressive running back in the prime of his career, Sato has managed to piece together many prime combos in his years as Head Coach of Penoc State. By adding him to the national team, Re'yem hopes to bring the 'luck' Sato seems to naturally seep onto any team he has been a part of.

Receivers Coach: SHAO Liju
Age: 62 | Years At Job: 1

An old receiver who played in the days of the Pass Offence's prime, Shao has continued to impress the Management of the National Team in the three years as Receiver's Coach at the University of Imaim; given weak and less-than-average talented players, he has continued to develop a team which ranks in the Top 10 on Receiving throughout the RGL. Though, Receivers are only a part of the equation, and Shao has much work to be completed before the National Team is even considered a threat on the International stage...

Offensive Line Coach: YAMAHUCHI Qing
Age: 49 | Years At Job: 1

Taking a page from his college days, Re’yem assigned Yamahuchi has both Offensive Line Coach AND Offensive Coordinator. However, were has in the OffCo role Re’yem is constantly mucking around, Yamahuchi is more free to do his job at OLC; utilising the years of experience he has as being the Offensive Line Coach of three Supreme Bowl teams to help form a decent national team.

Defensive Coordinator: NAKAMURA Yoshi
Age: 42 | Years At Job: 1

Left to his own devices by Re'yem, Nakamura is in charge of all defensive play-calling. Having led the best defence in the RGL for the past seven years, Nakamura is the architect for the Boarcupine's flexible defence; one which the team hopes to not only slow down the momentum of any successful plays, but to outright stop them in their tracks.

Defensive Line Coach: KOIZUMI Hideyoshi
Age: 47 | Years At Job: 1

Having served on the defensive line of the RGL's top team for nearly fifteen years, Koizumi has accumulated much knowledge and experience when it comes to the defence for the Enceri Jets, which Re’yem hopes to bring to the Boarcupines.

Linebackers Coach: ALMEC Julien
Age: 37 | Years At Job: 1

Almec just recently retired from his record-setting career as a linebacker with the Yinduchengshi Maju; while he knows his position better than anyone in Gyatso-kai, he has yet to hold any real coaching job save Senior Lineback at Maju camps. Only time will tell us how great or how poor he is at passing on his knowledge.

Secondary Coach: NGUYEN Thomas
Age: 46 | Years At Job: 1

With so few players to handle, it would make little sense for the Boarcupines to hire an individual coach as opposed to simply utilising the available staff. As such, Nguyen pulls double-duty as both Secondary Coordinator and Secondary Coach.

Offence

Style: +3.0 out of +5.0
Primary Front: Spread Option
Overview: A team which showcases the speed and agility needed to effectively run a Spread Option style of play. Expect Wobet to pass the ball just as often as he runs it in. When under Notwen, you can expect just a bit more passing, but still, the offence will try and spread the defence wide and create perfect centre lanes for passing or rushing...

#15 - Mit WOBETTEAM CAPTAIN
Height: 191cm | Weight: 111kg | Age: 24 | College: University of Adirolf | Professional: Rev'ned Stallions

The starting quaterback and the Captain of the Boarcupines, Mit Wobet is one of the most prolific Avatarian players in the 21st Century. Holding multiple records in the ASCA's Southeastern Conference, Wobet eventually went on to lead the Adirolf Gators to back-to-back ACSC National Championships; 2017 and 2018. Wobet is known as a dual threat quaterback; one who as adept at rushing as he is at passing the football. With his unorthodox RGL skills, frequent demonstrations of his religious devotion, combined with his team's recent success, Wobet has attracted unprecedented praise, criticism, and attention from the sporting media and beyond.
Rating: A+ - Team Relationship: A+ - Morale: A+ - Form: A

#13 - Mac NOTWEN
Height: 196cm | Weight: 112kg | Age: 22 | College: University of Kibago | Professional: Linacaro Panthers

Much like his starting counterpart, Mac Notwen comes from a very prolific collegiate career; originally starting on the same team as Wobet in 2017, Notwen would end up transferring to Kibago so as to gain a starting position as opposed to back-up. He would lead Kibago to the 2020 Avatarian Collegiate Sports Confederation National Champions and then be drafted in the first round in the 2020 RGL Draft. Another double-threat, Notwen is more adept at passing, and is often brought in when the rush is not working out and Wobet is being shutdown on the run.
Rating: A - Team Relationship: A - Morale: B - Form: A

#23 - TACHIBANA Huang
Height: 182cm | Weight: 106kg | Age: 30 | College: University of Imaim | Professional: Rev'ned Stallions

In his very first professional run, Tachibana broke two defensive line tackles, six more running down the field for a 93-yard touchdown. Since then, he has continued to set multiple records season after season. Just last season, he set a team record for 180 yards in a game with ten carries and three touchdowns.
Rating: A - Team Relationship: B - Morale: A - Form: A

#35 - SHUI Jiamah
Height: 175cm | Weight: 97kg | Age: 26 | College: University of Omashu | Professional: Hitomori Hawks

Shui is a fragile speedster amongst full-sized trucks. Shui is only good in between the tackles so long as he has good blocks from the offensive lines. Running to the outside, or playing as more of a halfback, though, is a different tale. Shui is one of the fastest players on the offence, and if Shui gets free of the defence, few can catch him.
Rating: B - Team Relationship: B - Morale: B - Form: A

#37 - SATO Jirou
Height: 175cm | Weight: 90kg| Age: 25 | College: University of Kibago| Professional: Kamino Cloners

Another smaller running back, Sato lacks Tachibana's power through the middle of the field, however, he does possess enough speed to make it between the tackles. In addition, his strength is very respectable; which consider he spends his time at Kamino facing defensive men twice his size, yet he is still able to get the ball out is a feat on its own.
Rating: B- - Team Relationship: A - Morale: B - Form: C

#42 - LIN Shun
Height: 180cm | Weight: 102kg | Age: 25 | College: Penoc State University | Professional:Bralin Accipiters

Originally drafted to the Kyrimorut Troopers fresh out of Penoc State, Lin saw little success there. However, with the expansion of the RGL in 2019.3 , he soon found himself on the newest team in the league, the Bralin Accipiters. While his skills and morale leave much to be desired, his speed and form are incredibly strong; many suspect this is why he was brought onto the team. Given his size over Sato, expect to see Lin make more substitutions on the second line, while Larsen brings up front-line support.
Rating: B- - Team Relationship: B - Morale: C - Form: A

#46 - Re'spen LARSEN
Height: 188cm | Weight: 111kg | Age: 28| College: University of Omashu | Professional: Bralin Accipiters
**NOTE: Plays as Fullback**

Much like Lin, Larsen is much more the physical running back; with size, strength, and speed on his side, one can only imagine why Larsen was not on a higher line. It all comes down to morale and his relationship with the team; given his mentality, Larsen is a defeatist, one who is far more prone to lay down and give up then to get back up and fight... though with such a strong form, we can still expect to see him on the field at least twice a game. Also, given that he actually plays at the fullback position, anytime we see the Boarcupines shift from the Spread, expect to see Larsen right in the middle of it all.
Rating: C+ - Team Relationship: C - Morale: C - Form: B

#27 - HASHIMOTOIsamu
Height: 180cm| Weight: 91kg | Age: 24 | College: Roku Univesity | Professional: Kamino Cloners

Having only played two years of professional ball is not something uncommon on the Boarcupines. However, Hashimoto snuck onto the playing roster without anyone really noticing. While Hashimoto possesses some speed, some size, and decent hands, he is still a developing player out of college, though the signs point to a bright future.
Rating: C+ - Team Relationship: C - Morale: C - Form: A

#33 - YU Wei
Height: 180cm | Weight: 103kg| Age: 27 | College: Saigon City College | Professional: Yinuutki Jotuns

Having saved his chances with the national team thanks to a fantastic performance in the Supreme Bowl with the second-place Yinuutki Jotuns, Yu earns his place as a #4 running back held in reserve. Yu will rotate around with other running backs, or even may play inside-receiver on plays when his amazing speed can come into use. Many feel Yu should be placed into the Receiver Corps, yet Re'yem still keeps him in the Running Corps...
Rating: C+ - Team Relationship: C - Morale: B - Form: C

#40 - BAI Rikuto
Height: 184cm | Weight: 112kg | Age: 24 | College: Royal Earth University | Professional: Braslin Accipiters
**NOTE: Plays as Fullback**

After taking a year in-between college and his professional career to serve a tour of duty in Gaoling, Bai Rikuto makes the national team after just a single season of professional ball. Brought in mostly due to his experience running the spread at REU, Bai is not exactly a stand-out receiver, since his position at REU was first-line fullback. However, Re'yem hopes to see him develop as a strong running back in the national team in Michael VII.
Rating: C+ - Team Relationship: C - Morale: B - Form: C

#19 - Atin UTHAN
Height: 180cm | Weight: 83kg | Age: 24 | College: Hatsu State University | Professional: Rev'ned Stallions
***Note - First Choice Punt Returner, Second Choice Kick Returner ***

Drafted to the Stallions the season before the arrival of Webot, Atin Uthan was given just a year before the Stallions reverted back to his old college style. Since then, he has moved up the depth chart, finding himself in the first squad for the first time since his third season at Hatsu State. Coming in as a tremendously physical player, Uthan comes off of a close call in the Supreme Bowl for the RGL. Critical to the games he plays in due to his knack at making big plays and covering his zones, Uthan has made a habit in Rev'ned of making highlight-reel-worthy interceptions, or just ruining a perfect pass by knocking it into the ground.
Rating: A - Team Relationship: A - Morale: A - Form: A

#88 - A'den KATO
Height: 190cm | Weight: 107kg | Age: 24 | College: Hatsu State University | Professional: Itakawai Beroyas

A big-play receiver, Kato was a college teammate of Uthan, which is likely why he was picked for the national team opposite of him. While he has terrific hands, incredible speed and a kangaroo-like leaping prowess, Kato also is large enough and strong enough to be a true physical player, which you can see him from time-to-time excelling in pushing heavier defencemen back and back and back some more...
Rating: A - Team Relationship: A - Morale: A - Form: A

#87 - GANG Ru
Height: 190cm | Weight: 99kg | Age: 24 | College: Roku University | Professional: Kamino Cloners
***Note - Second Choice Punt Returner, Third Choice Kick Returner***

A player very similar to Kato in almost all areas, Gang Ru faces the challenges of size against the much larger defensive ends; the same height as Kato, Gang is about eight kilos lighter. He is somewhat quicker on the draw than Kato, which means he could end up with more time on the field. He stills needs to work on his form, which still leaves much to be desired, which surprises many as to his selection.
Rating: B - Team Relationship: B - Morale: A - Form: B

#18 - Arthit SOMCHAI
Height: 180cm | Weight: 85kg | Age: 24 | College: University of Omashu | Professional: Kamino Cloners

Another young receiver, Somchai was added to the team so as to provide depth to the veteran-filled reserves. With some big-play potential, Somchai made many pushes for the Cloners in the last half of the 202.1 Season, however, some argue his form leaves much to be desired....
Rating: B - Team Relationship: B - Morale: B - Form: C

#12 - GI Klahan Moon
Height: 182cm | Weight: 86kg | Age: 27 | College: University of Omashu | Professional: Itakawai Beroyas

A career wide receiver for the Beroyas, Gi is also the primary kick returner for the Boarcupines. Given his immense speed, few can stop him, let alone keep up with him. However, to gain such speed, he is not the biggest of men on the team. This lack of size has hampered his development through his career; as a result of a heavy hit in the RFC Playoffs, Gi missed the first half of the 2021.2 season.
Rating: B - Team Relationship: B - Morale: B - Form: A

#83 - QING Kikwan
Height: 187cm | Weight: 88kg | Age: 22 | College: University of the Southern Tribes | Professional: Kamino Cloners

The youngest player on the team, drafted in the first second round of the 2021.3 draft, Qing Kikwan comes in off of a stellar college career. However, this college career did not translate to a great professional career. Instead, it brought him from the first string of the UST Walruses to the third string of the Cloners. While his speed is impressive, his hands are just sub-par and his vision is not terrific. With time, Qing will develop into a great receiver... but that time is still to come.
Rating: C - Team Relationship: C - Morale: C - Form: B

#82 - PAM Shao
Height: 179cm | Weight: 84kg | Age: 27 | College: Penoc State University | Professional: Bralin Accipiters (2012.1-)

As a player who has moved around a bit, Pam has made the constant move from Mando teams to Mando teams to Mando teams. This continues to solidify his role as a quick runner with massive hands which make catching a silverbass look like picking up an ajai fruit. However, why he made it to the reserves of the Boarcupine no one can quite understand. Perhaps it is just a coincidence... perhaps it is to help develop the 24-years-old front two lines...
Rating: B - Team Relationship: B - Morale: C - Form: A

#14 - Bai'a ORTON
Height: 190cm | Weight: 90kg | Age: 25 | College:
Saigon City College | Professional: Outer Ring Riders

What does one expect from a man who has been out of college for two years and has already played for three teams? Nothing special here...
bRating: C - Team Relationship: C - Morale: C - Form: C

#86 - Leinard FELLS
Height: 192cm | Weight: 114kg | Age: 28 | College: University of Kibago | Professional: Itakawai Beroyas

The number one draft pick of 2020.3, Fells is still playing for the same team that drafted him. A classic tightend, who simply knows his job and gets it done without any questions.
Rating: A - Team Relationship: A - Morale: A - Form: A

#81 - OIR'ASOR Dante
Height: 193cm| Weight: 113kg | Age: 27 | College:
University of Adirolf | Professional: Rev'ned Stallions

Very similar to his first-line counterpart, Oir’asor is another classic tightend. He gets the job done each and every time, though, you can expect a few slips in his reading ability from time to time. Luckily, he has experience --- both professional and collegiate --- with Wobet, so the two are able to interact very well.
Rating: A- - Team Relationship: A - Morale: B - Form: A

#78 - Hakoda KUNAYAK
Height: 198cm | Weight: 142kg | Age: 25 | College: Roku University | Professional: Kyrimorut Troopers
**Note: Plays as Left Tackle**

Kunayak is a strong left tackle, who while at RU developed wonderfully in their run-first system. Drafted in the first round of the 2020.2 draft, he soon found himself in more of pass-protection role at Kyrimorut. Even with the Boarcupines, he is finding his niche; however, he is not finding it fast-enough. So, as always, rotation will see him swapped around with Clark when we see Notwen take the helm.
Rating: A- - Team Relationship: B - Morale: B - Form: A

#75 - Sir'ch CLARK
Height: 196cm | Weight: 139kg | Age: 26 | College: Royal Earth University | Professional: Kamino Cloners
**Note: Plays as Left Tackle**

Another solid left tackle on the Boarcupines offensive line. Clark is equally as great as Kunayak, though, he is slightly more adapted to the Spread Offence utilised by the team. Expect to see him rotated around with Kunayak whenever Wobet is at the head.
Rating: A - Team Relationship: A - Morale: B - Form: A

#67 – Ma’jau QIPA’LO
Height: 194cm | Weight: 140 kg | Age: 22 | College: University of Adirolf | Professional: Rev'ned Stallions
**Note: Plays as Left Tackle**

A young gun fresh from a championship season with the Gators, Qipa’los is as adept at running with the Spread as any of the left tackles on the team. However, while his knowledge is incomparable, his experience is lacking, which is why Re'yem has him in the third slot. With time, he will be magnificent, but for now, he is just good.
Rating: B+ - Team Relationship: B - Morale: A - Form: B

#68 - Beane ZALES
Height: 193cm | Weight: 138kg| Age: 25 | College: Penoc State University | Professional: Itakawai Beroyas
**Note: Plays as Left Guard**

Zales is a ferocious blocker, which is great, considering how important guards are in stalling the defence to allow the time needed for the Spread to work.
Rating: A+ - Team Relationship: A - Morale: A - Form: A

# 73- Kalin KUPER
Height: 193cm | Weight: 137kg | Age: 29 | College: Northern University | Professional: Rev'ned Stallions
**Note: Plays as Left Guard**

A fierce competitor, honed by several high-value contest at Northern University and at Rev'ned, Kuper is not to be underestimated. The most experience left guard on the team, Kuper imparts his time-earned wisdom to the younger men on the line. He is not the best at the position, though, his experience does outrank his lack of form.
Rating: B - Team Relationship: A - Morale: B - Form: C

#65 - Kiya MIR’IM
Height: 190cm | Weight: 143kg | Age: 29| College: University of Adirolf | Professional: Kamino Cloners
**Note: Plays as Centre**

After serving four years with the Grand Army of the Republic, Mir’im has become an impressive presence on the field. A massive man, who has maintained his form and shape since graduating from Adirolf, he was drafted by the Cloners and has since developed into one hell of a steady hand for the offence there. He plays with the same mentality as many guards; this equates to one fine blocker who tends to enjoy taking tackles head-on.
Rating: A - Team Relationship: A - Morale: A - Form: A

#50 - MONGOYAK Tiquuvit
Height: 190cm | Weight: 138kg | Age: 24 | College: Hatsu State University | Professional: Kyrimoruty Troopers
**Note: Plays as Centre**

Another very capable blocker for the Boarcupines, Mongoyak brings youth to support the experience of Mir’im. Another massive man on the line who enjoys hitting people just a little too much.
Rating: B - Team Relationship: A - Morale: B - Form: B

#71 - Russ HOCHSTEIN
Height: 193cm | Weight: 138kg | Age: 36 | College: Saigon City College | Professional:, Hitomori Hawks
**Note: Plays as Right Guard**

The veteran of the Boarcupines, Hochstein has still managed to keep a foot on his younger competition. Still a very capable and aggressive guard, Hochstein still resembles his prime when he helped lead three teams to championship seasons; Itakawai in 2018.4, Rev’ned in 2019.2, and Hitomori in 2020.1 Though he is getting a little long in the tooth, he is still a terrifying man to face on the field.
Rating: A - Team Relationship: A - Morale: B - Form: A

#74 - NOONGWOOK Kai
Height: 200cm | Weight: 150kg | Age: 24 | College: University of Imaim | Professional: Itakawai Beroyas
**Note: Plays as Right Tackle**

Noongwook is a right tackle who is as good at pass protection as he is at run blocking. He garnishes the favour of Re'yem due to his love of playing and the love of doing his job well. Extremely devoted to the team, he was ejected from a college game when the opposition gave an illegal hit to his quaterback... and Noongwook felt it best to take off his helmet and bash it upside the hitter when he got up. One of the ASCA's best remembered games.
Rating: A+ - Team Relationship: A - Morale: A - Form: A

#76 – Yi’no HILLS
Height: 196cm | Weight: 139kg | Age: 27 | College: University of the Southern Tribes | Professional: Braslin Accipiters
**Note: Plays as Right Tackle**

Hills is a solid all-around player, but is not at the same level of talent as his compatriots. He fills in when needed, and is known from time to time to deliver a terrific performance, however, do not expect to see him outperform Noongwook, and Hills will remain in the second line of the right tackle position.
Rating: B - Team Relationship: B - Morale: A - Form: C

#72 - Nayr RISHAR
Height: 196cm | Weight: 136kg | Age: 26 | College: University of Omashu | Professional: Rev'ned Stallions
**Note: Plays as Right Tackle:**

A younger player who has seen much growth since his days at Omashu, Rishar is a very strong and big tackle, though he just lacks the talent of Noongwook or Hills. He fills in the thrid spot well, and expect to see him play every other game or so, or even when Noongwook needs rest mid-game.
Rating: B- - Team Relationship: B - Morale: C+ - Form: C+

Defence

Style: -1.0 out of -5.0
Primary Front: 4-3 defence
Overview: This defence is designed with a blitz-heavy approach in mind. While it is filled with many great talents, it is not the best aspect of the Boarcupines, and many see the Baptism of Iron as a means to test the men on the line. The secondary is comprised of the best players in the league, and as such, is an integral part of the team.

#96 - REIN’UN Ch’tim
Height: 193cm | Weight: 132kg | Age: 24 | College: University of Adiolf | Professional: Rev’ned Stallions
**Note: Plays as Right Tackle**

Slightly smaller than Leybunk on the left, Rein’un is the best defensive lineman playing for the Boarcupines. With his professional years spent running the 4-3, not to mention his entire college career under the same front, Rein’un knows what he is doing, and he does it very well. While he is no speed-demon, he is quick enough on his feet so as to pose a threat to inside-rushers, and he has more than once laid out a quarterback who underestimated him.
Rating: A - Team Relationship: A - Morale: B - Form: A

#77 - LEYBUNK Ri’bro
Height: 188cm | Weight: 139kg | Age: 28 | College: Adirolf State University | Professional: Enceri Jets
**Note: Plays as Left Tackle**

A terrific nose for passers and ball-carriers, Leybunk is a very capable tackle who fills the role of a run-stopper for the Boarcupines. With decent explosiveness off the line and having a knack for mucking the offensive line up just enough to stop any progress, Leybunk brings experience and charisma to any team he is on.
Rating: A - Team Relationship: A - Morale: A - Form: A

#98 - NAY’R Nemac
Height: 196cm | Weight: 138kg | Age: 27 | College: HAtsu State University | Professional: Taishen Tigers (2010.2-2011.3)
**Note: Plays as Left Tackle**

Nay’r is very efficient as a tackle, able to read the offence from the other side and know exactly who it is he needs to block and stall. Not really that terrific of a player, though his form is impeccable; likely the result of his collegiate days under a head coach who would drill the basics for hours...
Rating: B - Team Relationship: B - Morale: B - Form: A

#79 - MASTHO Cusmar
Height: 190cm | Weight: 143kg | Age: 26 | College: University of Adirolf | Professional: Kyrimorut Troopers
**Note: Plays as Right Tackle**

An explosive tackle, Mastho is someone who can cause serious damage on the inside. Though his form needs work, he is under the tutelage of his college coach, and as such, we can be sure to see him improve with time.
Rating: B - Team Relationship: A - Morale: B - Form: C

#91 - SREYA Ro’er
Height: 190cm | Weight: 124kg | Age: 26 | College: Royal Earth University | Professional: Rev’ned Stallions
**Note: Plays as Right Defensive End**

A sharp contrast to the quiet and polite Vilmerud, Sreya Ro’er is a stereotypical Mando; boisterous, energetic and amazingly intelligent. Known for constantly shuffling about prior to the snap, Sreya serves as a huge distraction on the line, drawing attention to himself and away from the play. Usually works pretty well, considering the amount of mando’a profanities he shouts.
Rating: A - Team Relationship: A - Morale: A - Form: A

#92 - VILMERUD Vis’el
Height: 198 cm | Weight: 110kg | Age: 25 | College: Ba Sing Se State University | Professional: Enceri Jets
**Note: Plays as Left Defensive End**

Vilmerud is the star player of the defensive line. Incredibly fast and stong, with the ability to make idiots out of most of his offensive counterparts, Vilmerud is as flexible as player as they come. With an impressive work ethic and the manners of a reform school graduate, Vilmerud is a bag of contradictions compared to his first-line counterpart, Sreya Ro’er.
Rating: A+ - Team Relationship: A+ - Morale: A+ - Form: A

#90 - TERHUN Son’ja
Height: 193cm | Weight: 122kg | Age: 28| College: University of Omashu | Professional: Lolosi Camelephants
**Note: Plays as Right Defensive End**

Siliga’s partner on the end, Terhun is a good player, even though he is still in need of work. Whereas Siliga has only played professionally for two years, it has been five years since Terhun was at UO, and they both are on par for development. It may be sometime until Terhan finds himself on the first line, but until then, he seems perfectly content playing second fiddle.
Rating: B - Team Relationship: A - Morale: B - Form: B

#95 – Ver’leas SILIGA
Height: 196cm | Weight: 122kg | Age: 25 | College: University of Adirolf | Professional: Republic Guardians (2011.4)
**Note: Plays as Left Defensive End**

Siliga is a solid, all-around defensive end who can play the run and pass solidly. At 25 years-of-age, he is still developing, so expecting a good deal of playing time is not likely. However, he is talented, so you can expect him to show when the time comes...
Rating: B - Team Relationship: B - Morale: B - Form: B

#97 – Rem’jay LAEB
Height: 190cm | Weight: 125kg | Age: 24 | College: University of the Southern Tribes | Professional: Hitomori Hawks

Playing at both left and right defensive ends, Laeb has learned a great deal in his professional career. While still a pass-rusher first, his run-stopping skills have greatly improved since his debut in 2011 for Hitomori.
Rating: C+ - Team Relationship: B - Morale: C - Form: A+

#58 - RELLIM Von
Height: 190cm | Weight: 109kg | Age: 22 | College: Saigon City College | Professional: Taishen Tigers
**Note: Plays as Left Linebacker**

Recruited straight out of SCC, Rellim distinguished himself in college as someone who should never be underestimated. He is most suited for attacking, moving forward to stop the run or contribute to the pass-rush, as opposed to working in coverage. That is why Ganhan is on the team...
Rating: A - Team Relationship: A - Morale: A - Form: B

#55 – Rilc’e AMSILLI
Height: 184cm | Weight: 110kg | Age: 29 | College: University of Imaim | Professional: Enceri Jets
**Note: Plays as Right Linebacker**

Following a three season hiatus in which he volunteered to aid the southern regions following the Concordian dissent, Amsilli returned to Enceri a renewed man. He can blitz harder than any man on the line, considering his size when compared to the other monsters who make up the defensive line. He contributes greatly to the pass-rush, and is able to cover short-routes during zone defence.
Rating: A - Team Relationship: A - Morale: A - Form: A

#52 - OBIOZOR Ril
Height: 193cm | Weight: 113kg | Age: 25 | College: Hatsu State University | Professional: Futoshi Saints
**Note: Plays as Right Linebacker**

Having played for three teams, Obiozor has some very interesting knowledge to contribute to the linebackers. He is highly intelligent, and even graduated from Hastu State with a 3.98 GPA and a degree in Particle Sciences. Surprising he chose to play get’shuk instead of winning a Noble Prize...
Rating: B+ - Team Relationship: A - Morale: B - Form: B

#57 - GANHAN Ri’om
Height: 190cm | Weight: 124kg | Age: 32 | College: University of Omashu| Professional: Hitomori Hawks
**Note: Plays as Left Linebacker**

Having two championship rings in his possession from his years in Kamino, Ganhan is still at the peak of his form. With his main strength in guarding the middle, he is still quite capable of carrying out other responsibilities, such as pass rushing and stopping the run with equal efficiency.
Rating: B+ - Team Relationship: A - Morale: C - Form: A

#59 - IWUH Nair
Height: 182cm | Weight: 108kg | Age: 27 | College: Keldabe State University | Professional: Itakawai Beroyas
**Note: Plays as Right Linebacker**

Another player whose development continues to this day, Iwuh would have found himself higher in the depth chart had he not had to compete against the likes of Amsilli and Obiozor. He does everything that the two players above him can do just as well, but his speed and knowledge of the game still need to improve before he can place higher.
Rating: B- - Team Relationship: B - Morale: C - Form: B

#53 - MEDMOHA Keim
Height: 190cm | Weight: 111kg | Age: 23 | College: University of Adirolf | Professional: Rev’ned Stallions
**Note: Plays as Left Linebacker**

Drafted right after the completion of his college season, Medmoha found a home in Rev’ned under his former coach, which is perhaps how he found his way into the National team. He is an average linebacker, nothing fancy or stand-outish about him.
Rating: C - Team Relationship: C - Morale: C - Form: C

#51 - SYAM Eoj’ka
Height: 180cm | Weight: 113kg | Age: 26 | College: University of Omashu | Professional: Taishen Tigers

Syam is a beast of a player; unimaginably strong, incredibly intelligent, and quick on the draw. Still developing as a player, Syam is solid in all of the physical categories of a player, yet it is simply his intelligence which sets him miles apart from his teammates.
Rating: A+ - Team Relationship: A+ - Morale: A - Form: A

#56 – Tean INGIRV
Height: 184cm | Weight: 109kg | Age: 23 | College: University of Adirolf | Professional: Itakawai Beroyas

A very capable inside linebacker, Ingirv’s main strength is in covering the middle, however, he is still very capable of pass rushing as well as stopping the run.
Rating: B+ - Team Relationship: B - Morale: B - Form: A

#24 - LEYIAB Cyr’oDEFENSIVE CAPTAIN
Height: 182cm | Weight: 88kg | Age: 33 | College: University of Adirolf | Professional: Hitomori Hawks
**Note: Plays as Left Cornerback**

The most experienced play-making corner available in Gyatso-kai, Ley’iab has the distinction of playing for just a single team in his ten year professional career: Whereas most players end up spending five to six years with a team, Ley’iab beats the odds. Even though he is high in age, he is very fast and has an instinctive knack for placing himself between the airborne ball and the intended receiver. His talent and experience makes him the ranking NCO of the Defence Corps, which many see him as more of a general than as a NCO.
Rating: A - Team Relationship: A - Morale: A - Form: A

#21 - MADOOGN Rean
Height: 178cm | Weight: 87kg | Age: 33 | College: Keldabe State University | Professional: Kamino Cloners
**Note: Plays as Right Cornerback**

Another seasoned cornerback, Madoogn comes out of Adirolf’s biggest rival at Keldabe State and, given his age, he played plenty of games opposite of Leyiab. As such, he knows his partner’s style very well and the two cornerbacks complement each other vividly.
Rating: A - Team Relationship: B - Morale: A - Form: A

#25 - RISHA Ris’ch
Height: 177cm | Weight: 86kg | Age: 22 | College: Penoc State University | Professional: Braslin Accipiters
**Note: Plays as Left Cornerback**

The youngest member of the cornerbacks, Risha graduated from Penoc State a semester early so as to qualify for the 2020.3 RGL Draft; finding his home in Braslin in the second round. Risha differs than the first-line cornerbacks in that he is more speed-geared, placing himself easily between the ball and the receiver. While he is not very consistent in getting the interception, he is consistent in keeping the opponent from gaining the first down.
Rating: B - Team Relationship: A - Morale: B - Form: B

#29 - REMOO Shuajo
Height: 178cm | Weight: 84kg | Age: 23 | College: Hatsu State University | Professional: Kamino Cloners
**Note: Plays as Right Cornerback**

Much like Risha, Remoo is a young freshly-drafted player. Not having played in the professional scene long enough to make any big differences in the games he has played. Even faster than Risha, Remoo can keep pace with the fastest and most agile of receivers and this plays well into the hands of the Boarcupines. Expect to see Remoo come out whenever the defence needs a speed boost.
Rating: B - Team Relationship: A - Morale: B - Form: B

#32 - TERCAR Onty
Height: 175cm | Weight: 79kg | Age: 25 | College: Adirolf State University | Professional: Kamino Cloners
**Note: Plays as Right Cornerback**

A second-line corner back on the Kamino Cloners behind first-string Remoo Shuajo, Tercar is just another solid corner in the line of the Boarcupines. He does a very good job in the secondary, even though he is fairly unremarkable.
Rating: B- - Team Relationship: B - Morale: C - Form: B

#22 - SYD’QUAN
Height: 175cm | Weight: 86kg | Age: 25 | College: Royal Earth University | Professional: Itakawai Beroyas

A mostly speed-based corner, Syd’Quan is not as physical as his compatriots. Due to his flexibility, he is not listed as a left or a right corner back, and he will often fill the void left by fatigue regardless of what side of the field he is running.
Rating: B - Team Relationship: C - Morale: B - Form: A

#30 - Vid'da TONBRU
Height: 188cm | Weight: 98kg | Age: 24 | College: University of Adirolf | Professional: Rev'ned Stallions
**Note: Plays as Strong Safety**

Coming from the Gators two championships teams, Tonbru is an exceptional player. As exceptional as he is, he is still one of the most under-rated safeties of the RGL. This is due to the fact that he is on one of the most prolific teams in the National Conference. Tonbru excels at coverage, but working on the fly has improved his contributions to the team, and he makes for a solid last-ditch tackle against a lose running back.
Rating: A - Team Relationship: A - Morale: A - Form: A

#28 - TERRAC Tonqui
Height: 184cm | Weight: 90kg | Age: 23 | College: Royal Earth University | Professional: Itakawai Beroyas
**Note: Plays as Free Safety**

Drafted in the fifth round of the 2020.2 RGL Draft, Terrac comes out of one of the premier educational establishments in Gyatso-kai; earning a 3.88 GPA and a degree in Philosophy, Terrac chose to pursue his sports passion. A solid all-around safety who is at his best when playing a responsibility. Terrac is able to shut down receivers and/or entire sections of the field with the utmost in competence, leaving his backfield partner --- Tonbru --- free to make the big plays.
Rating: A - Team Relationship: A - Morale: A - Form: A

#36 - SHUB Fael
Height: 180cm | Weight: 91kg | Age: 24 | College: Penoc State University | Professional: Kyrimorut Troopers
**Note: Plays as Strong Safety**

Another young safety who will likely develop into a major force for the team in a few years, to support the ever-developing Tonbru. A very capable back-up.
Rating: A - Team Relationship: A - Morale: A - Form: A

#26 - RE’OM Rahim
Height: 184cm | Weight: 88kg| Age: 22 | College: Saigon City| Professional: Braslin Accipiters
**Note: Plays as Strong Safety**

Signed to the Braslin Accipiters without even being drafted, Re’om is a remarkable player. However, he is still too young to be able to play consistently, though his form is well defined.
Rating: B - Team Relationship: A - Morale: B - Form: B

#20 - KINSDAW Nai’r
Height: 182cm | Weight: 95kg | Age: 38| College: Saigon City College |
Professional: Beijing Ironclaws

**Note: Plays as Strong Safety**

The ‘old wolf’ on the line, brought in as an elder to educate the younger members of the defence. He is still a great player, though to aid the youth in development, Kinsdaw has taken a place on the third line. Quite a difference when compared to his ‘Golden Years’ with the Enceri Jets; winning four championships in five years in the early 2000s
Rating: B - Team Relationship: A - Morale: B - Form: B

#54 - BINN Di'vad
Height: 190cm | Weight: 130kg | Age: 30 | College: Keldabe State University | Professional: Imaim Dolphins

A long snapper who took a break in his career to re-focus on his religion, Binn is a very consistent snapper. Accurate as any one else... Not sure what else needs to be said.
Rating: A+ - Team Relationship: A - Morale: A - Form: A+

#66 - TONPAX Nielo – SPECIAL TEAMS CAPTAIN
Height: 188cm | Weight: 122kg | Age: 34 | College: Northern University | Professional: Republic Guardians

The back-up long snapper, who was signed to the Guardians fresh out of college and undrafted. Since then, he joined the Guardians on two Supreme Bowl championships and then has helped the Stallions pull into contention before being traded back to the Guardians in 2020.1. Not much else to say... Accurate and consistent. Only second due to his age.
Rating: A - Team Relationship: A - Morale: A - Form: A

#5 - Tam PRATER
Height: 180cm | Weight: 82kg | Age: 27 | College: University of South Adirolf | Professional: Kosu PlatypusBears

The most accurate kicker in the Republic Gaat'shuk League, Prater manages to make nearly 85% of his field goals from 45 yards or more. He has an impressive leg, which is in no doubt due to his time playing summer meshgeroya in a professional league. The coaches never mind, just so long as he doesn't let it interfere with his RGL duties.
Rating: A+ - Team Relationship: A - Morale: A - Form: A+

#4 - QUITTCOL Nottrib
Height: 191cm | Weight: 93kg | Age: 27 | College: University of Omashu| Professional: Kyrimorut Troopers

An impressive punter who averages 46.2 yards a kick, Quittcol has been a player with some controversy around him since he first stepped onto a field; dealing with spousal issues when first drafted out of UO, and then his off-the-field antics which left many wondering if Quittcol would mature. It took a late-season trade from Imami to the more-structured Troopers of Kyrimorut for the ‘Untamed Beast of the Waterways’ to finally find his place.

AOCAF Matchday 1: Scores and Previews

Leemus Valley, Vilita- Qasden beat Vilita & Turori.

Let that sink in for a moment.

Group D's gone mad, and it's just the first day. It wasn't even a low-scoring game. Have you seen Qasden football? It's defensive as hell. But they managed four goals against AO's second-ranked national team. The best part? If there's one thing Cordia needs in this tournament, it's chaos. With a bit of luck and chaos elsewhere, even an unranked team like ours can make the knockouts. As for how the Cordian team played? Not bad, not bad at all, a scoreless draw against the Sultanate of Oontaz that puts Cordia tied for second.

The match wasn't without its chances and close calls, though. Redvin Chase's physical playstyle showed itself on the pitch just minutes into the match, as he was given a yellow card after a particularly excessive tackle against Mubarak Zidane. The offense occurred inside the box, and Oontaz had an early opportunity to take the lead on a penalty for Stephen Marbun. It was not to be; Kristin Bergstrin dove right and read the shot perfectly. Saved. Cordia now took the momentum, a quick pass out from Bergstrin to Sebastian Voll sending the latter sprinting upfield and into the attacking zone, but Halim Guerouabi made his move at the right time and blocked a potentially dangerous shot from Voll.

The early rush seemed to get some of the nervousness out for the Cordians, and the rest of the first half saw long shots and few chances. Halftime changed something though, and Oontaz came back onto the field with a vengeance. A desperate first five saw three Oontaz shots on goal; two were saved by Bergstrin, who played admirably, and another went off the crossbar and out. In the end, momentum can't score goals on its own, and the match did even out. Around the half's midpoint, Cordia received a corner. Bee Karjalainen took it, sending it well over the line, to Eric Johnson on the far sideline. Johnson's quick chip shot sent the ball bouncing into the box, but a timely catch from Usamah Roberts-Ingles prevented a serious chance. The match's final big chance came at the start of stoppage time. Anton Osterholt did some fancy dribbling on a rush, giving Voll time to get into a shooting position. Osterholt's pass was perfect, and Voll blasted the shot past Roberts-Ingles. 1-0 Cordia with mere minutes to go. But upon review, Voll was found to be offside. No goal, and a scoreless draw for Cordia's first AOCAF match.

Elsewhere at the AOCAF, Schima Bas, a pot 5 side, managed a draw with pot 2 Busoga Islands, while another pot 5 side, Kimi-Suomi, actually defeated pot 2 team Aji No Moto. Oh, and Qasden defeated Vilita and Turori. We'll get a better idea of how Group D is looking after the next matchday, where Cordia's MD 3 and 4 opponents will play. Also on the second matchday? Cordia playing Vilita and Turori. Just gaining points in this match would be something special, though it's decidedly unlikely against (we reiterate) AO's second-ranked team. Anyone betting on a drop in form because of the loss can expect to lose their money. V&T didn't get this good by sitting back and crying every time they lost.

AYO, HUH?! WHAT?!

Postby Kimi-Suomi » Mon Dec 06, 2021 2:35 pm

KImi-Suomi is in the Commonwealth of Baker Park for AOCAF LXV...and no one saw that coming. We're here to try and make ourselves more "serious" in the international sporting world before our guest Daniel Marx tries to take on the NSSCRA world for us not long from now, but AO is a beast filled with great teams that seriously know what they are doing. We have to play two of the biggest teams in the group first before our bye, so at least our swift exit debut can be just like that - swift. Up first was Aji No Moto, Pot 2, so let's see how many goals we lost by this ti-

FT: Kimi-Suomi 2-0 Aji No Moto
Airo (34'), Koivu (89')

I'm sorry, WHAT?! WE BEAT AJI NO MOTO?! ON DEBUT?! WE BEAT A POT 2 TEAM ON DEBUT?! WHAT?! WHAT THE FUCK?!

Yes, Kimi-Suomi did beat Aji No Moto in the AO debut for Kimin Armeija. The Huuhkajat came into this contest with nothing lose and I guess that helped here, with Kimi Airo's free kick in the 34th giving us the shock lead. Many expected the experience of ANM to overhaul our resolve in the end, but we held firm no matter what and Hannu Koivu broke away in the 89th to seal this upset for us, the celebrations and shock permeated the air - even from those at the KSJ itself. Marx was having a good time, the game showcasing our resolve in plain view, and so were our players after that!

So...not bad start then, eh? Next up is Valanora though, the big boi in this group, so we expect defeat now. At least we now know Esko Laaksonen can win games in this tournament so...that is all good! NOSTA KUIN HUUHKAJAT!

Techies Take Opening Match Victory over Crystal Empire

Tropicorp Park, Tropicoast, Tropicorp :: A Mixed Team of Tropicorp Engineers, Scientists, Researchers, Family members and Cocoa-bo put together a strong performance in the opening match of AOCAF LXV defeating the Crystal Empire by a 2-1 scoreline. The Techies were opening up the AOCAF competition at home in Tropicorp Park for just the third time in their history and were looking for a big performance in front of friends and family in Tropicoast. The draw was favorable against a Crystal Empire side with minimal recent competition experience though the depleted Tropicorp side at times looked as if they may not pull out the win. Ultimately, however, the home fans got what they came for as Tropicorp look to avoid embarrassment on home soil. The Techies will temporarily depart Tropicoast for their Matchday 2 Fixture against Mlima Kijani which will take place at the Bear Claw Stadium in Mavaloiao on Turoki Island. The stadium sits on the other end of the widely used Tropicorp Ferry and many Tropicorp employees live in Mavaloiao or commute between Turoki Island and Tropicoast during the Work Week.

While much of the Tropicorp Staff was on hand for the AOCAF Competition being held at Tropicorp Park, a handful of Tropicoast Representatives were off to the Dannin Transport and Innovation Expo in Mertagne. In Collaboration with deployed team members from the other side of the Troportal in Tropania, the Tropicorp representatives arrived in Dannin to set up a booth with information on their progress in reverse engineering both the Troportal and the Cocoportal and leveraging the fundamentals of both systems for the creation of the proposed Uberportal at Calania Landing.

In the wake of the foxchester event, Tropicorp Scientists, Researchers and Engineers were keen to study the immediate zones on either side of their portals and had previously measured similar levels of undetermined unquanitified measurable sources at a location south of Legalese on mainland Calania on the Bekk Side of the Portal. While Tropicorp's primary interest is the technology they have also been working with a number of firms with proposals on how to leverage the uberportal with the proposal gaining the most momentum based on the latest size projections from Tropicorp Engineers is the large Free Area Trade Zone and Atlantian/Anian Regional Shared Embassies. If successful, the Uberportal could also vastly reduce common travel times from one Calanian heritage landmass to another while also providing great economic benefits to nations on both sides.

Tropicorp Representatives planned to be on hand throughout the Dannin Transport Expo to answer any questions regarding their current research surrounding the smaller portals in Tropania and the Cocoabo Forest as well as how what they have learned can be applied to the uberportal opening up new transportation routes into and out of the region.

Scott Gaines was the mastermind behind the rise of the Dynamo two tournaments ago, when the side full of semi-professionals found a way to best two of the best teams in the region and wedge themselves firmly into the knockout stages at their expense. Expense is a funny word to toss around though, as that performance by the Dynamo in that tournament spurned on massive investments from foreigners into the domestic league in the Demot, letting the top flight of the pyramid slowly transition into a fully professional tier once more, rather than only the legendary club of Likewell Kirk having preserved its professional status through the years. At the expense of both regional neighbors, in the form of Banija as well as Siovanija & Teusland, as well as at least a few rather fervent and dedicated supporters from Vilita, sponsorship income delivered a ray of hope and sunshine to the beleaguered Pride League and all those who played in it as well as those who supported the teams in it.

However most of that momentum seemed to have disappeared in the last tournament, where the Dynamo were undone in the group stage despite the extra training and conditioning that the national team players were now receiving with their domestic sides, having gotten contracts that allowed them to transition to professional footballers for the most part. However being drawn into a group with the aforementioned Siovanija & Teusland, as well as the Oceanic Territories of Eura, made the group rather more difficult to try and navigate and any mistakes made where that much more meaningful in how they impacted the team. Though the Dynamo did their best to try and capitalize on all the momentum that they had garnered in the previous edition of the tournament, it was not meant to be as the team faltered in the group stages and were sent back home to rethink what had gone wrong during their two week stay in the Equestrian lands, with only the defeat of Côte d'Saphir giving any solace to the manager or the players at his charge.

Most managers would have torn up the script and completely reshuffled the team and perhaps even the entire national pool of players that they were picking the team from after such a bitterly disappointing tournament. After all, if the team had been so weak in a tournament where it had been expected not just by those back at home to do well but by other, foreign media outlets and fans, then surely it was time to make some changes. However Gaines believed in the players that had been chosen in the previous tournament and knew that it was not really a matter of their skill not being what had been expected of them, but rather a bit of unfortunate luck. The political climate had given the EOT side a reason to spring their best efforts against the entirety of the group and as far into the tournament as they could possibly make it, as well as the absolutely buzzsaw that was the S&T will to win on the last matchday in order to ensure their own progression into the knockouts. While there was some skill difference, it alone did not cause the Dynamo's downfall in Equestria.

An unchanged national team then made its way to the Commonwealth of Baker Park, to try and rectify a few wrong and attempt to reestablish itself in the regional competition. In a bit of twist of fate, the Equestrians and the Expats were two of the four teams drawn into the group with the Dynamo, with the side taking on Equestria in the first game. Perhaps with the bad memories of the tournament that had taken place in Equestria still on their minds, the Dynamo put forth a show that would end up being the best performance of any team on the first matchday. With goals from Baldwin, Méndez, and Henderson, the Dynamo were up three nothing before the half hour mark in a superb display of attacking thrust. Baldwin would grab the second of their brace in the fifty-third, before the Equestrians would get a consolation goal in the seventy-second, but far too late to mount a real comeback. A four to one victory over one of the regional powers was a great tonic for a team that had question marks heading into the tournament but the road ahead still had many challenges to overcome and Gaines was already making his plans for the next match.

Vanorian dominance was not what it once was, despite some renewed efforts in the last few years to try and strengthen both the perception and reality of that dominance. It all looked like it had been working well to since the appointment of Didrik Gjedrem to the manager of the national team, having been the architect in reviving Raynor City United's spot in the domestic scene after the elves departure and the general perceived weakening of the Premiership as a result of that. As it has been well documented, Didrik was able to turn the Marauders fortunes around quick, having won a surprising Eagles' Cup, before getting the team deep into the knockouts and even having the Marauders be in the top five of the WCC rankings once more after a prolonged departure from the very elite echelon of those particular rankings. It seemed that there was nothing that could go wrong for the Raynor City born man and everything that he touched would eventually come good, that it would just be a matter of time until once more the Marauders would be both regional as well as world champions.

Then the previous World Cup happened and all that good seemed to come to a screeching halt, with a difficult qualifying campaign that continued on into a troublesome group stage, before at last the Marauders were made to pay the penalty to the spot kick challenge and were dumped out at least one round before most in the Eternal Empire would have been able to make peace with. The quarterfinals are where Vanorians typically start to feel okay with the team coming up on the wrong end of the engagement, perhaps due to the completely mesmerizing and ludicrous record of seventeen straight quarterfinal or beyond appearances by the the Marauders stretching from the late thirty editions of the World Cup and into the fifties. There are many nations that would give anything to have a single quarterfinal appearance at all (yes, we're looking at you Eastfield Lodge), much less seventeen or in a row. It was, it is a testament to the dominance that the side once had and why the expectations for the Marauders are always so elevated, even when they are not at their best. The Marauders own history demands that they go into every tournament with the belief that it is theirs to win, no matter how good or long the odds actually are.

The Marauders side that has traveled to Baker Park on the heels of that early elimination is one that seems to be a bit of a transitional side and a lot of who we might be seeing starting a high number of games in the upcoming Qualifiers for the next World Cup. Outside a handful of players, it is a team that is mostly in their early to mid twenties who have seen some measure of success at their respective domestic teams and are now looking to translate into international success. Some of these players, Lothas Ludwig chief among them, are quite familiar to anyone who has been following the team for the last few years now and have had their time in and out of the lineup as Didrik has tinkered with various lineups to get the most out of his side, with success for the most part. If there is one constant though, one player that fans from across the entire empire and of all different eras can get behind, it is of course the legendary captain and attacking midfielder Laborious Hawk. The last remaining elf in the national team and whose talent is so undeniable and so profound that trying to describe it is an effort of futility for language can not adequately bequeath upon itself the right words to describe Hawk's talent and skill.

The Marauders have been gifted a group from which they should easily be able to finish in the top two and advance out of the group, though taking anything for granted has its own set of hazards that can present challenge for the Wanderers. However the first hurdle was cleared in relatively ease, thanks to the aforementioned Hawk and Ludwig, with the former grabbing the opening goal and the latter getting a brace on either side of the halftime whistle as the Marauders were en route to a three to one victory over the Pluvia-Saxean Isles team. The best players playing like the best players will go a long way towards rebounding off a disappointing exit in the World Cup, as well as the bitter taste that might still linger from the side's inability to capture the regional title in the last edition of the tournament. Like in many other sports at the moment, their nearby neighbors of Banija are there to deny them, which is a bit of irony for fans of the Premiership having seen the rise of Banija at the same time their players began to get significant playing time in the league's best teams, perhaps creating their own most difficult rival in the process. With the loss of -the rivalry- due to political machinations, it may be that Banija is lining themselves up to be that replacement as the Marauders try to assert that dominance once more.

After tough consultations, RBSA adopts 'minimum number of Banijans' rule that could have a major impact on the Shango-Fogoa Premier League

BUSUKUMA, NATIONAL CAPITOL REGION- The start of the 89th World Cup cycle literally could not have gone any better for the Kadongo Kamu. Starting off in their 10th edition in the AOCAFs, the group stages were rocky. Only one win and one draw from 3 games played for the tournament's top team. We wouldn't have made the knockout stages at all if it wasn't for Qasden downing the Freeport Isles on the final day of the group stage. But they did- and then, the grit of the team shown through. Considering the games, maybe we shouldn't have bought so deep into this time. But the end of the last cycle saw a World Cup semifinal run, and hey- why not us, right?

An easy 2-0 Round of 16 win put the national team in a quarterfinal with Busoga Islands, in a cold rivalry that was always waiting to get hot. Idai Uster scored an 117th minute winner to put us through to the semifinals. And then, back to back matches that went to shootouts. Downing Hapilopper in a penalty shootout, and then Valanora in the Final in a penalty shootout to win the whole damn thing. Going into World Cup 89 Qualifiers seemed to be a breeze. 9 straight World Cups qualified for, ranked 5th in the multiverse, had just won our first ever regional title. And then- disaster. We all witnessed it. We couldn't even make the World Cup Qualifying playoffs.

Of course, the most famous disaster was failing to make the World Cup. And in a way, yes- being the highest ranked nation ever to miss the Finals is a tough loss to take. But the Cup of Harmony was a disaster. 6 games played- just two total wins. Again, needing a bunch of other results to go our way on the final matchday to put us through to the knockout stages, an opportunity we immediately squandered. The rot was deeper than Pam Scott realized. She needed to throw everything out and then start over.

The debates were flying across the soccer scene in Banija. Why do the Kadongo Kamu suddenly suck at this sport? And while all sorts of reasons were thrown out, many people zeroed in on one reason- the lack of opportunity for Banijans to play in the top flight. Of course, we have plenty of Banijans playing abroad. But at home? Not so much. Out of the 9 returning Banijan S-FPL teams last season, only one had a majority Banijan starting XI, and that was Mynda Electra. Banija's biggest clubs are regularly throwing out lineups with just two, or even one, Banijan starter.

Pam Scott, the new national team manager, spoke about it diplomatically- not wanting to piss off the owners, but her desire for Banijans to see the pitch. "Look- obviously there's an eye for foreign talent here." She said. "But we need to recalibrate. Clubs don't want to put in the work of grabbing youngsters and developing them in this country, and would rather buy them from foreign sources, already developed. But that limits the opportunities for just as talented Banijans to see the pitch. We need to create more opportunities for Banijan players to see the field in the S-FPL, specifically."

Just remember. The Hoima Warriors? Two Banijan starters. Jinja City? Only one. Istria City and Herzegovina City? 3 each. Banija has never had a domestic player requirement, and with a joint league, one would never be easy to implement. And of course, there are arguments against, advanced by some clubs. That it will water down the talent in the league. That the market will play itself out. That missing the tournament entirely was a fluke, and that the national team would come back in World Cup 90 Qualifying, just as they have before.

And, of course, the realities of the situation. The window is long over. Squad's already built- what do you do? We almost got to the point where nothing could be implemented- until, of course, RBSA Executives and club owners reached an agreement, possibly close to the final moments before they could implement it. And the agreement itself was stunning.

"Today, club owners in the RBSA have agreed to support the development of the game, by creating a pathway to the multiverse's top domestic league, the Shango-Fogoa Premier League, for Banijan athletes. It has been difficult to recruit Banijans to this league, and that has made the national team suffer. Which means, going forward, among any Banijan clubs in the S-PFL, there will be a Banijan player quota. For this upcoming season, any Banijan club team will be required to have a minimum of 3 Banijan players in the starting XI. For any subsequent seasons, each Banijan club will be required to have 5 Banijan players in the starting XI- although the fifth slot could be filled by a Busogan or a Farf national." He explained that for Busogan teams, those numbers of course would apply to Busogan nationals, as opposed to Banijan nations.

While a few teams will have to adjust their starting XIs, hitting the 3 for this season shouldn't be too hard. But next season, when the quota moves to five, it will be much more difficult, especially for the big clubs. Look for some tension within clubs this season, as foreign players attempt to keep their place. As the quota moves from 3 to 5 over the course of the offseason, expect names to hit the window for these Banijan teams. But importantly- there's no age requirement of players on the quota. It could be an opportunity for Banijan veteran players, as well as youngsters.

An Earth-shattering change to domestic soccer in Banija- probably the biggest rule amendment to Banijan domestic sports, since the establishment of the Shango-Fogoa Premier League. How will people react? What will the fallout be? Only time will tell.

- Pam Scott chooses new entirely domestic based AOCAF squad, saying that after the disasters of World Cup 90 and the Cup of Harmony, senior squad members 'need a break'. It's her first chance to see many of the youngsters in action, as she looks to take a deep squad to World Cup Qualifying.
- The title defense got off to a good start, with a 4-2 win over Mlima Kijani showcasing Banija's skill and power going forward, towards goal.

AOCAF MD1 v. Qasden (L)

Postby Vilita and Turori » Mon Dec 06, 2021 11:28 pm

Vilita and Turori [3] - [4] Qasden

After rumors had spread rampant on twii.tur that the Vilita and Turori Eel Cat Things would open their AOCAF XLV campaign in Vilisorma at the behest of the Vilisorma Beverage Company, the match instead was sensibly held at the largest stadium in the Tropics, the Lonngeylin Coliseum home of Jungle Strike FC. With approximately double the seating capacity as Vilisorma's Malaveisa Stadium, the Lonngeylin Coliseum hosted the kick-off ceremony for what was just the fourth AOCAF Cup hosted or co-host in Vilita.

Unfortunately, a thrilling match ended with defeat for the home side as the Vilita and Turori Eel-Cat Things suffered another unfortunate result to the Cats of Qasden losing the match 4-3 after having earlier held a 3-1 lead in the match. Youngster Ukamai Talingri was replaced in the second half by goalkeeper Zelkki Milake Jr. who helped lead Vilita and Turori to the 50th Di Bradini Cup title but the second generation Eastal Lunar netminder couldn't do enough to stop the bleeding and ultimately conceded the goal that cost Vilita and Turori the game. Luckily for the Eel Cat Things, however, the format of the AOCAF XLV Group Stage insures that a single defeat would not specifically guarantee an early exit from the competition. With five teams in every group, Vilita and Turori would still get three more matches to attempt and claw back up atop the Group still holding a high probability chance of advancing to the knockout rounds.

The Olympic Committee of Banija presents their rosters for the Non-Soccer AO Regional Championship Events

General RP Permissions: No deaths, no pandemics, no injuries that last longer than the length of the tournament itself, and no godmodding the actual games(you can godmod any sort of surrounding events). Otherwise, everything's fair game. If you have a Q about anything, hit me up on Discord or TG me and I'll probably be accommodating.

Banija National Baseball Team

Coaching Staff
The current manager, Ousman Kakay, is in his 8th and final cycle as the team's manager. He has been wildly successful at the helm, leading the team to a bronze medal his first tournament(WBC 46), and a championship his second tournament(WBC 47), while getting to the quarterfinals in three straight classics before winning title #2 at WBC 51, and a victory at AO Baseball Series II.

He is an old school manager, less into analytics and more into traditional baseball thinking. He believes in the strength of this team, which are his starting pitchers- he is much more likely to leave a starting pitcher in too long rather than pull them out too quickly. He also strongly rejects the idea of a "bullpen game."

There are a number of changes to the coaching staff from WBC 52, which finished with the team's title defense going out in a whimper, as they got swept in the Round of 16 by Hapilopper. is returning for this cycle. This tournament is considered ICly to happened before WBC 53.

Manager- Ousman Kakay. 72 years old. Starting managing the team at the beginning of WBC 46.
Bench Coach- Baluta Colley. 62 years old. Eighth Cycle on staff. Spent five classics as hitting coach, but when the bench coach, Isaac Oladipo, took the promotion with Super Llamaland, he moved up to the bench coach role.
Hitting Coach- Theodosia Osano. 57 years old. Third Cycle on Staff. First ever female on the coaching staff.
Pitching Coach- Odongo Ondiek. 41 years old. First Cycle on Staff. Like his predecessors, he likes big, tall, hard throwing pitchers. Minor league manager for the past few seasons in Banija, then spent one season as a college manager before joining the WBC staff.
1st base Coach- Elijah Anoko. 47 years old. Third Cycle on Staff. Previous manager of University of Moravica baseball.
3rd base Coach- Joel Oluoch. 48 years old. First Cycle on Staff. Very aggressive. He's a nephew of Ousman Kakay, via the manager's older sister.

WBBL = Western Banijan Baseball League, Banija's top-flight professional baseball leauge.
If they have never played in a WBC and this is their first cycle, they are italicized.

Choose my runscorers: Yes
Choose my lineup: No(I have it all spelled out for you above! You can make in game substitutions for pinch runners/hitters or defensive subs as you see fit, but please follow the lineup as given above).
Follow my pitching rotation: Yes (I have it labeled game by game to prevent any confusion, so please follow! Make pitching changes of course during games as you please, but please do not have other starters coming into a game in relief)
Eject my players:Yes(My manager is a hothead, you can eject him too)
Godmod scoring events: No
RP injuries to my players: Yes (Please specify both the injury and the # of games that they will miss)
Godmod injuries to my players: Yes (Please specify both the injury and the # of games that they will miss)
Godmod other events: Yes (Whatever's fair game, but don't godmod scoring events, don't kill anyone w/o my permission, and no COVID/pandemics to effect Banija/any Banijans. Otherwise, have at it!)
Use DH at home: Yes
Other: When we are pitching, they induce a lot of ground balls. The strike out rates aren't terribly high for Banijan pitchers, but they play solid, fundamental defense, and they have strong arms all over the diamond. However, while Banija's rotation is one of the strongest in the multiverse, the bullpen leaves much to be desired, especially the middle relievers, who are well known to be the team's weakest link. For the knockout stages, we'll have one starter in the 4 man rotation available every game for an inning or two out of the bullpen. That is listed in the rotation. If those guys are brought in, it is for an absolute maximum of 35 pitches, however many outs that takes

With Isaka Jawara's retirement, it has launched one of the most entertaining QB competitions in living memory- Chineze v. Chibuzo. They both were on the roster at World Bowl XLI, but neither of them took a single snap- therefore continuing the anticipation. Chineze was the winner of the most intense position battle in recent memory for Banijan sports fans, and staked out his claim as the QB1 when he won the previous AO Bowl on home soil. He will look to re-establish Banija as AO's premier gridiron force at this tournament.

Izoka is considered a great deal worse than both Chineze and Chibuzo, but the veteran has been brought onto the roster to be the third string QB and a veteran presence in the locker room. He's the consummate professional- hard-working, first to practice and last to leave, and is functionally an extra QB coach for this roster.

Halfbacks
Kuenda Sello. #21. 23 years old. Graudate of Richardson University(Ranoria) in the NSCF. Team's feature back.
Alan Saba. #28. 34 years old. Plays for the Lwanga Rhinos. Specialty is short yardage carries.
Christopher Isto. #25. 26 years old. Plays for the Jinja City Springboks.
Okorie Chidey. #20. 29 years old. Plays for the Rukunbi Wizards.

Running backs are always the first position that are able to play at the professional level. And Sello is poised to take a step forward as the team's feature back, with his third cycle as the team's starting ball carrier. The offense is set to undergo significant transformation, as they look to spread it out more, but Sello will still be there to establish the ground game, and be an important safety valve for Banija's quarterback.

Wide Receivers.
Chinweuba Jelan. #84, 26 years old. Graduate of Raynor University(Valanora) in the NSCF.
Lamin Kah. #81, 25 years old. Graduate of the University of the Commonwealth of Baker Park in the NSCF.
Ikem Orjea. #11, 27 years old. 5'11, 198 pounds. Slot receiver. Plays for the Herzegovina City Cobras.
Chidi Chinweike. #17, 33 years old. 6'4, 220 pounds. #2 receiver at Loyola-Istria for NSCF XXI.
Hatabu Jagne. #87, 35 years old. 6'0, 188 pounds. Plays for Busukuma Suns.

Banija might have the most talented top 2 receiving duo in the entirety of international gridiron. While the rest of the receiving corps leaves something to be desired, Lamin Kah and Chinweuba Jelan are both bonafide superstars. They are both big, strong, and speedy players who excel against man coverage, and can play themselves open when a defense focuses themselves on them. Jelan especially is an absolute terror in the open field, and the offense will try to creatively get him the football in space, including with middle screens, reverse, and other gimmicky plays.

The other veteran receivers are solid receivers, but should not scare opponents. However, if opponents focus on shutting down Banija's superstars on the outside, it is one of the other receivers stepping up as an X-factor that could be the biggest difference between glory and and ceding this championship to somebody else.

Tight Ends.
Belonwu Akuchi. #81, 28 years old. Pass catching Tight End. Plays for the Sisonke Leopards.
Rada Menasse. #85, 24 years old. Balanced Tight End. Graduate of Northern Moravica University in the NSCF.
Oscar Baboto. #80, 30 years old. Blocking Tight End. Plays for the Busukuma Suns.

The tight ends in the Serpent Eagle's offense, historically, simply do not get much attention in the passing game. The Banijans use 11 personnel- which is 1 running back, 1 tight end, 3 wide receivers. Like many teams in the modern game, we do not carry a fullback. These tight ends are generally expected to block. And they do their job well. Muhumuza has brick hands, but is aggressive in blocking, and will often be used to help a tackle double team talented EDGE players.

But with the offense opening up, tight ends are expected to be more valuable. Cue the retirement of a blocking tight end tank, Muhumuza, and the emergence of Akuchi as the team's preferred tight end. It's unclear how many targets he can get- but the big man is capable of running, and is a great middle of the field target for Banija's QB.

Left Tackle.
Hassan Sesay. #65, 30 years old. Plays for Umbazi Metropolitan Sporting Club.
Chioma Obyke. #69, 24 years old. NSCF XXII & XXIII starter for Northern Moravica. Plays for the Dukuma Dragons.

Left Guard.
Olefile Dithapelo. #64, 27 years old. Plays for Askatasuna Wildcats. NSCF XXII starter for Northern Moravica.
Addo Kargbo. #60, 24 years old. Plays for the Lwanga Rhinos. Three year starter at U of Moravica, NSCF XXIII starter at Northern Moravica.

Center.
Tabia Anasa. #50. 28 years old. Plays for the Istria Black Mambas.
Jamaal Afiri. #57. 24 years old. Plays for the Busembe Timberwolves.

Right Guard.
Bayou Awash. #68. 24 years old. NSCF 22 & 23 Starter for Loyola-Istria. Plays for the Istria Black Mambas.
Jordan Karamba. #61. 25 years old. NSCF 22 & 23 for Northern Moravica.
Lamin Jobateh. #63, 34 years old. NSCF XX Starter for Northern Moravica.

Right Tackle.
Kutubo Nyang. #73, starter for Busukuma Suns. 28 years old. Captain. Fourth cycle as a starter. Only returning starter on the Offensive Line.
Landing Sillah. #71, starter for Busukuma Athletic Club. 30 years old.

From World Bowl XL to XLI, continuity was the name of the game. The exact same 5 guys started every single World Bowl game across those tow tournaments, and low and behold, it went fairly well. A combined record of 21-3, with a championship game appearance, between those two tournaments. But you can't run the same O-Line out in every international tournament forever- the fact that these happen once every three years simply prevent that from happening.

And that's exactly what happened, with right tackle Kutubo Nyang being the only returning starter. There's no shortage of talent, but these are dudes who have never really played together. They didn't play all that well in World Bowl XLII, so their improvement as a unit is what many observers will be looking to.

Defense 3-4.

Left Defensive End.
Hatabu Kodo. #96, 30 years old. NSCF XX Starter for the Université du Saguenay(Royal Kingdom of Quebec).
Antouman Diene. #91, 30 years old. Plays for the Busembe Timberwolves.

Right Defensive End.
Suma Jawara. #93, 27 years old. Plays for the Mynda Gorillas.
Thomamo Bontsi. #90, 36 years old. NSCF XX Starter for Northern Moravica. Former starter, is now a backup because of his age.

Nose Tackle.
Charles Bbumba. #95, 30 years old. Graduate from Université du Saguenay(Royal Kingdom of Quebec), a NSCF school. Plays for Busukuma Suns.
Wasa Jassey.#99, 29 years old. Starter for the Istria Black Mambas.
Chydea Ndulu. #98, 27 years old. Plays for the Hoima Zebras.

Left Outside Linebacker. (Typically a pash rusher in passing situations- both players at this position are EDGE guys)
Boto Hairte.[ #55, 33 years old. Starter for the Herzegovina Cobras.
Kiggwe Joof. #40, 35 years old. Starter for the Istria Black Mambas.

This team is built around its front 7, and it starts with the front 4. Even with a 3-4 defense, this is a team that wants to attack and dominate the line of scrimmage, and get into the backfield quickly to get after the quarterback. Of course, everyone likes to do that- there's no bigger advantage in football than getting pressure. But this team is capable of doing that. Boto Hairte is a terror on the edge. While he's smaller, he's quick and has good technique. He's the person in the front four who is most in need of a double team.

This team will substitute often on their defensive line, valuing keeping guys fresh. Hairte is a game-changing talent, but across the rest of the defensive line, each player is capable of doing some serious damage- although none are what you'd consider the sort of talents the opposing offense spends hours game-planning around. But their depth along the D-Line and ability to control the line of scrimmage is definitely considered an asset. While the front 4 is aging, they should still do enough damage to help ensure this team is a force at this tournament.

Middle Linebacker.
Isaiah Bryce. #56, 31 years old. NSCF 18, 19, and 20 starter for Richardson University(Ranoria). Captain.
Baluta Kujabi. #47, 31 years old. Starter for Busukuma Athletic Club.
Baturou Jagne. #59, 26 years old. Starter for the Herzegovina City Cobras.
Ensa Jagne. #57, 26 years old. Starter for the Jinja City Springboks.

Strong Side Outside Linebacker. (Usually drops into coverage in passing situations)
Cyrano Kalivas. #41, 34 years old. NSCF XX starter for Northern Moravica.
Malik Sey. #52, 32 years old. Starter for the Dukuma Dragons.

It is a talented linebacking core that the Banijans have. Isaiah Bryce, particularly, is a game breaking player. He is a true ballhawking defender. The Richardson grad is everywhere- he's got the ability to keep up with tight ends in coverage, he's always got a nose for the football, and is a hard-hitting force in the middle. He'll make people fear getting into the middle of the field on shallow crossing routes, as it's going to hurt like hell if you meet Isaiah Bryce there.

Kujabi and Kalivas are both good linebackers too, in their own right. But Bryce is the leader and heart and soul of this defense. But with Bryce at 31, why is the Banijan defense expected to take a step back? That's right- Bryce missed the last GFLB season. Coming off of a torn ACL, he will be healthy for week 1, but what kind of player will return? Expect him to play well, but not quite at the level we're used to.

Cornerbacks.
Saihou Fadika. #22, 31 years old. NSCF XXI starter and graduate of Northern Moravica. Starter for the Lwanga Rhinos.
Ensa Faye. #39, 26 years old. NSCF XXI and XXII starter and graduate of Northern Moravica. Starter for the Aissa Crocodiles.
Birom Danso. #25, 31 years old. NSCF XXI starter and graduate of Loyola-Istria. Primary nickel back. Starter for the Hoima Zebra.
Baturu Sanneh. #24, 31 years old. NSCF XXI starter and graduate of Northern Moravica. Starter for Bunyoro RSC.
Madue Uzoma. #31, 24 years old. NSCF 22 & 23 starter and graduate for Loyola-Istria. Starter for the Askatasuna Wildcats.

Strong Safety.
Fakebba Niang. #26, 30 years old. Starter for the Dukuma Dragons
Fara Danso. #27, 29 years old. Starter for the Istria Black Mambas

Free Safety.
Muña Guissé. #19, 30 years old. Starter for the Askatasuna Wildcats.
Isaka Kakay. #20, 31 years old. Starter for the Sisonke Leopards.

And now, for the secondary. Saihou Fadika is the unquestioned, #1 cornerback for this team at this point. He has had a great last few years, and had 9 interceptions in the GFLB this past season. This team doesn't do left and right corner- Fadika will find the opposing team's #1 wide receiver, and will trail him all game. Thomas Hall, for the better or for the worse, has told reporters he has an immense amount of trust in Fadika. So expect a lot of one on one situations on his side of the field. Can he remain a #1 corner, especially in a man heavy scheme, now that he's crossed 30? The coaches have expressed confidence in him, but in what is the defense's weakness, Banijans expect the cornerbacks to be attacked a lot.

Behind him, we've got a veteran player in Ensa Faye. Startign now his third cycle, he will look to take a step forward here at the AO Bowl. Biram Danso will stay in the nickel back slot, covering slot and interior receivers. Dembo Guissé will be interesting. He's got the ability to play safety as well. The team is bringing back both of their starting safeties as well.

Special Teams.

My punter is the holder for field goals, just to be clear. My punter does normal kickoffs while my kicker does onside kicks. Lastly, my kicker is my backup punter and my punter is my backup kicker, just in case you RP an injury to one.

Long Snapper
Richard Kondana. #61. 30 years old.

Kick/Punt Returner.
Chinweuba Jelan. #84, 26 years old. Graduate of Raynor University(Valanora) in the NSCF.
Isaka Kakay. #20, 31 years old. Starter for the Sisonke Leopards. He is the team's backup free safety.

Kicker.
Komani Achaje. #3, 28 years old. Maximum range is somewhere between 50 and 63 yards. Starter for the Istria Black Mambas.

Punter.
Travis Galubasi #2. 27 years old. Starter for the Sisonke Leopards.

There are no changes to the special teams unit, as these will be the primary players for that unit for the second straight tournament. Let's start with the exciting stuff. Jelan is a superstar athlete. He had four touchdowns in a NSCF playoff game last season, a 35-17 win for Raynor University of Valanora. He can beat you any number of ways, and is a terror in the open field. He's exactly the kind of guy that Banijans want returning the ball, and opponents would be at their best to kick the ball away from him.

Now, as for kicker and punter. As a fan, you never want to think about these positions. But we have new players at both positions. First natural thought is worry. Both guys are talented- but can they handle the pressure of the regional championships? Achaje was shaky at World Bowl XLII, so we'll see if he can fix those issues here at the AO Bowl. It'll be a mental game for him, and the question is- can he survive it?

And then we have the punter, Travis Galubasi. He can boom the ball. There's really not much to say- he's a good punter. Galubasi will be the holder on field goals, instead of backup quarterbacks like usually happens in this country. Thomas Hall told reporters that "in practice, you want your QBs throwing the ball and your special teams units together. So instead of pulling backups from other positions, we simply specialize at those positions. It'll be better for our special teams efficiency, and better prepare our backup QBs and center to prepare for game situations." We'll have to take his word for it, right?

Coaching Staff

Head Coach: Thomas Hall(Ranoria). 56 years old. The Olympic Committee of Banija, frustrated with failure after failure of Alastair Jobs, the legendary Loyola coach, after his World Bowl 37 semifinal run, has finally forced Jobs out. The Banijans believe that they have the talent to get into the knockout stages of major tournaments, prepping to make deep WB runs within a tournament or two- whether they should or not, is another question entirely. They also felt they needed a culture change- a coach with a record at the professional level, rather than a college coach.

After searching long and wide, they looked to Ranoria, one of their football rivals, to find a coach. The opposite of Alastair Jobs. As a player, Hall was the career leader in the Ranorian Football League with 62 career interceptions. He had immediately success. The Banijan national team didn't make the knockout stages at either World Bowl 38 or 39, and it was the group stage elimination at the Istria Olympiad that got his predecessor fired. Thomas Hall, however, hit the ground running. Changing the team's focus from a spread 'em out speed team to more of a power team, he went 10-0 in the group stages of World Bowl XL, and took the Serpent Eagles to their first ever World Bowl final.

After a quarterfinal appearance last tournament, he said it's time to revamp the team's offense. "We've got stars on the outside with Lamin Kah and Chinweuba Jelan on the outside- we can't let that go to waste." Whereas Banija has been ground and pound for the last two tournaments, expect them to lean more towards spreading around the football and lighting up the scoreboard, to take advantage of the star players they have at the skill positions on offense.

Offensive Coordinator & Assistant Head Coach: Adhama Khalfani. 62 years old. Known as one of Banija's chief offensive innovators, he is a former offensive coordinator for the Istria Black Mambas professionally here in Banija. With Mamadi Diene's retirement and Hall looking for a change of philosophy, he wanted to hire a coach that he felt would fit his play style. And boy, did he ever. The complete opposite of what you'd expect from a defensive minded coach. But Khalfani said he's excited for the opportunity.

"This is how the game is going." He told reporters. "Is it an experiment? Yes. And we're going to get tested- we've got to play Delaclava, Bongo Johnson, and Sarzonia in our group. At minimum one of us will miss the knockout stages- and in all likelihood, two of us will. We're simply going to be aggressive about getting the ball to our playmakers in positions where they can do something with it." We'll see if Thomas Hall can stick to the strategy, as we're sure his insides will hate all that offensive football that's incoming.

Other notable Offensive Staff: Former NSCF 14 and NSCF 17 champion, Loyola alum running back Justice Greenspan is the running backs coach. He is 44 years old. 47 year old Ugonna Chioma is the Quarterbacks Coach. 55 year old Uchey Akachi is the Wide Receivers Coach. 54 year old Beluchi Chika is the Offensive Line Coach. And 36 year old Mamadi Diene Jr.(the former offensive coordinator's youngest son) is the Tight Ends Coach.

Defensive Coordinator: David Franklin. 50 years old. David Franklin was a starting middle linebacker on Loyola-Istria's NSCF 14 title team, and he was a defensive captain on Banija's run to the World Bowl XXXVI semifinals. With the defensive coordinator from the last two tournaments taking his talents to South Newlandia to become head coach at Elephant Valley University, Franklin got the promotion. Having a stellar playing career domestically and being a longtime national team assistant, it is seen as his turn. He's never called plays at any level, however. How will he handle his first season ever running a defense at any level?

Other notable defensive staff: Faraji MOyo is the linebackers coach. He is 41 years old. 44 year old Diji Jel is the Defensive Line Coach. 57 year old Chizoba Izuchukwu is the Safeties Coach. And 51 year old Fodazi Manqoba is the Cornerbacks Coach.

Special Teams Coordinator/Strength & Conditioning Coach: Iyoas Motuma. 52 years old.

The Busoga Islanders run a 4-3 defense. The front 7 is the core of this defense. The front 7 is big, fast, and aggressive, being great against the run. Coaching Staff

Head Coach: Goktug Pamuk, 56 years old and the head coach of the Dukuma Dragons in the GFLB, is the head coach for this squad at this tournament. He is leading a more old school squad- one with lots of big players, one that focuses on ground & pound philosophy, and one that gets after their opponents. They are built around their running game, tight ends, and front seven on defense. They are not so great at passing the ball, and almost inept at defending against the pass.

Still, the scrappy, not so talented team will set out to not embarass themselves here at the AO Bowl, with the goal being qualification for the Quarterfinals. Which shouldn't be too hard with 2/3s of team making it to the next round- but can they be one of those teams? We will see.

Offensive Coordinator & Assistant Head Coach: Ugurol Polat. 50 years old.

Defensive Coordinator: Erdil Ozel, 74 years old.

Special Teams Coordinator: Yolbul Dink, 47 years old.

Head Coach: Ozak Konca. 49 years old.

Wing- Yahya Ozgur. 23 years old.

Reserves
Hizir Tayfur. 22 years old.
