Capping MV would do nothing but resulting in the amassing of more cards (without closing the loophole of "overstocking"), while removing the badge and the "top list" as well as "deck value" would.

you know very well that won't happen
and if we remove the deck value, inflation will just have no effect, no goal other then itself. will be pointless, just as pointless as endless decks.

Thats like solving the problems with issue stats by removing issues. you can't fix a problem by removing features that only causes less people to play

except that issues do not face problems such artificial manipulation of their value.
you can't answer 1 issues, and increase the value of your pizza by more then 10 000. it takes times to reach 10 000 units.

but in cards, its possible to do that.

still the same premise, removing something entirely to solve a problem is exactly solving it, its just getting rid of it

Besides, ever asked yourself, to whom you want to be "competitive" and why ? And why you decided to "become competitive" in the beginning ? Ever heared the term "circulus vitiosus" ? I`ve to tell you the harsh and brutal truth about : there´s only one way to break this circle, and that´s to begin on yourself and own and stop acting "competitive" (that´s, how you call it, I would give it an other, more precise and unpretty name...)

Competition is part and parcel of most games. I'm confident Tech can eliminate the cheats, hacks, etc., without turning the mini-game into the goofy Solitaire you appear to crave.

Any idea, how "Tech" should achieve this without some of the significant changes recommended ? The "goofy Solitaire" is, what the game has almost become currently, what I am demanding is a fair and funny game for everyone. To stop a car racing downhill means stepping on the brakes, not "being confident in some miracle" !

Absolutely. viewtopic.php?p=38940306#p38940306

TCALS is gone. More changes are on the way. You've played the game long enough to know that modification is a slow process. Tech is focused on revising other areas of the game as well.

Neutering competition isn't fun; shaming doesn't work. Might make you feel good to suggest to players that they've loose screws for exploiting the game and/or enjoying competition, but those tactics are ineffective. What do you think spitting into the wind accomplishes?

My opinion on the "Yahtzee" - game is, beg your pardon, that it´s a complete nonsense; as a sub-game to NS the card-game should remain somehow related to NS (which is achieved by getting rewarded for answering issues, which is meant to be a fundamental part of managing a nation), not a "stand-alone" game of gambling.
Captain Woodhouse wrote:What do you think spitting into the wind accomplishes?

What you call "the wind", I call "a few dozens of players"; the beginning of every change is someone "spitting into the wind", and if nobody has done so (in RL), how do you think, your life (also in RL) would be ? A serv, or a slave maybe ? Or even a "citizen", almost rightless suffering under some loose cannon absolute ruler ? You should be very thankful, that there is always someone "spitting into the wind"...

You're confusing eccentric with revolutionary, C-B. You're no revolutionary. Revolutionaries have support.

Ben: Apologies for participating in the threadjack. Nice proposal. I hope it's implemented.

No prob. I haven't gotten too concerned over the various threadjacks in here. None have exceeded the spit into the wind escape velocity as of yet. ;)

Thanks for your endorsement on the thread's proposal.
