Knattspyrnusamband Græntfjall and the Tumbran Football Federation are pleased to present their bid for the Baptism of Fire 77.
Format
Currently 21 signups, 2 of which will be subject to a puppet check. 20 to 24 signups seem the nearest workable numbers.
4 groups of 5 or 6 playing single round robin. Tiebreakers: points, goal difference, head-to-head result, coin flip (IC; OOC a simulated game).
Top 2 in each group advance to a seeded QF bracket and from there play a single elimination bracket plus a 3PPO.
Scorination and RP bonus
Scorination will use xkoranate + SQIS, additive mods (±5).
Games will be scorinated every 48 hours, with RP bonus awarded every scorination. If 4x5 groups are used, RP bonus will be available on team bye days. Additional bonus for roster worth up to double one MD RP, seeing as this will be the first roster for most teams.
As there are no ranks, the RP bonus will be input directly as the rank.
Estimated cutoff time would be 1600 UTC.
IC setting
Information about the two host countries’ climate, culture, and other background details will be made available in an info-pack prior to the tournament.
Schedule
It is probably not going to be possible to finish before the holidays. Therefore, we would aim to run the group stage in the 2 weeks before the Christmas holidays, then allow a gap of several days over Christmas itself, and complete the playoffs after.
Experience
Græntfjall co-hosted the 36th Copa Rushmori, 74th Baptism of Fire, and 80th Cup of Harmony, and has solo hosted the 30th International Basketball Championship and 42nd World Cup of Hockey.
Tumbra has previously hosted a Campianato Esportiva.
