Deutschen Kaiserreichs: Embassy and Diplomatic Communications Office

To all the world leaders,

The German Empire has announced the organisation of its new Embassy and Diplomatic Office. Should you be interested in establishing formal diplomatic relations with the German Empire, please use the form below.

All embassies will be in Berlin unless requested in the application. Security outside the building will be provided by us, but you may bring security for inside the building. Further arrangements can be discussed in the application.

You may decide where your consulate should be. Please give a reasonable location for your consulate, and we suggest that it be in a major city or town (other than Berlin). Consulates are generally smaller than embassies, so we have imposed limits on the number of staff allowed there. Exceptions to this may be discussed via secure diplomatic channels. Further arrangements can be discussed in the application.

All new countries with an embassy with Germany will gain a Neutral classification here.

Other information (optional): My country uses Envoys Extraordinary and Ministers Plenipotentiary (and thus the diplomatic missions are called Legations) instead of Ambassadors, given its technically subordinate status as a realm of His Britannic Majesty and nominally aligned with the British Foreign Office, though in practice any NAU Legation has full autonomy in exercising the details of the NAU external affairs or in support of the common affairs of the United British Commonwealth of Nations.

Your Excellency,

His Royal Columbian Highness the Viceroy of the North American Union and Prince Regent in America, on behalf of His Britannic Majesty, extends good wishes and health to His Imperial Majesty the Kaiser. It is His Royal Columbian Highness's desire to promote diplomatic relations between the North American Union and the German Empire and thus leads to the proposal of an exchange of Envoys Extraordinary and Ministers Plenipotentiary and the establishment of Legations between this Columbian Realm, in personal and real union with the Kingdoms of Great Britain and Ireland, the Empire of India and the other Nations of the United British Commonwealth, and the German Empire.

Upon acceptance of this proposal, the North American Union General Department of External and United Commonwealth Affairs will lease a parcel of property of His Grace the Duke of Philadelphia of His Imperial Majesty's choosing to be the location of the German Legation in the Seat of the General Government of the North American Union, Philadelphia, with all rental payments waived for the duration of diplomatic relations between the North American Union and the German Empire. Many properties are located in the western half of the city and duchy, close to many government departments of State and a short excursion to the viceregal palace and the Prime Minister's home. His Royal Columbian Highness, on personal honour and by his oath of faith and allegiance to His Britannic Majesty, offers full diplomatic and consular immunities for any members of the German diplomatic service sent to Philadelphia as stated in the Imperial Diplomatic Privileges Scheme 1927.

His Royal Columbian Highness desires that any North American Legation in Berlin be in the local style of architecture. His Imperial Majesty the Kaiser shall be offered the same local option for the North American Legation in Philadelphia or perhaps an imported style?

Enclosed is a summary of key personnel and information regarding the establishment of the North American Legation in the Seat of the Court and Government of His Imperial Majesty the Kaiser, Berlin. The proposed head of mission, Sir Dominic Wilson, is a seasoned diplomat who has served in the court of His Majesty the King of Sweden and shall be a dutiful servant of His Britannic Majesty's North American Government at the Court and Government of His Imperial Majesty the Kaiser.

It is also a wish of His Britannic Majesty's North American Government to establish a consulate in the city of Hamburg. A consulate application is attached with the legation application.

Please ask any questions or request clarifications on details for His Imperial Majesty's Legation in the North American Union or for His Britannic Majesty's Legation in Berlin.

OFFICIAL COMMUNIQUE OF THE GERMAN EMPIRE

To His Excellency, Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary Sir Dominic Wilson,
To The Right Honourable, Dean Fairchild MGP PC(Am),

It is my honour and pleasure to, as Minister of Foreign Affairs of this Imperial State, accept your application for a diplomatic embassy and a diplomatic consulate in our country. We trust that this be the start of a fruitful and friendly alliance between our two great nations.

It shall also be my great honour and pride to, as representative of this Imperial State, and states thereof, to other nations, in my position and as laid out in the 1941 Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Diplomatic Authority in the Name of the Kaiser) Act (Section 14), declare Germany's intention to accept Your Excellencies' gracious and thoughtful proposal for you to arrange the establishment of a German Legation in the North American Union. We are honoured to have such an act to be offered to us.

We also are pleased to have such an experienced and seasoned diplomat to be with us. We request that a letter of credence be given to the Kaiser at the earliest opportunity. His Imperial Majesty himself will be prepared to greet His Excellency Sir Dominic Wilson in Berlin upon arrival. Your request for an embassy in the style of Berlin is noted and a building of your choice can be easily found.

Likewise, we thank Her Excellency Mrs Philomena Jones for her experience in the Netherlands, and we greet her and welcome her to Germany, as the Consul-General of the North American Union to this Imperial State. Letters of credence of her shall also be expected upon arrival. The Mayor of Hamburg and His Imperial Highness, Carl Friedrich the Crown Prince, will greet her to Hamburg. The Chancellor would also like to meet her upon arrival as the receiver of letters of credence.

Further information regarding the German Legation in Philadelphia will be given out as soon as possible, when arrangements for their travel and business have been put together by the Ministry of Imperial Affairs, working in conjunction with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. They shall then be wired to you via secure diplomatic channels. His Imperial Majesty has chosen, as a mark of his grand respect, a local building in the good style of Philadelphia for the Legation. We believe that further details do not need to be arranged. Should they be necessary, please wire them to us through secure diplomatic channels, or send us a message to our Embassy Program. Both ways will give an equally quick response.
