how to get a more religious nation?

I want a more religious nation, but most of the options that increase religion remove civil rights/political freedom, and I want those too, but I want much higher religion score, any tips?

I would choose options that encourage religion, but also make sure to choose options that focus on religious freedom. Also, you can always boost your civil rights even if you have a high religiousness rating if you feel it's too low for your standards.

You should focus on religious freedom, or you can do this thing that many players do, which I call Policy investing. You can enact Theocracy to increase religiousness, but if an option comes up on how you don't give religious freedom, you can gain your civil rights and political freedom back, and gain even more religiousness.

You can develop your nation with issues. Try and act with a religious and choose religious options. At the bottum (after you pass an issue/legislation) you will find all the stats. Hopefully, your religiousness will increase.
