[The Military State of the Galapagos]

As more riots continue, the Knightmare Lite Glasgow starts being deployed in the Galapagos. This iteration of the Glasgow is much, much more powerful and faster than the Sutherland, and comes equipped with a mix of non-lethal and lethal weapons. However, only non-lethal weapons are used. Several Marajarbian Helicopters start bombarding the cities impacted by these riots with tear gas, and the Glasgows, several thousands of Marajarbian troops, the Helicopters, and 1,000 Marajarbian tanks initiate a pincer attack in each city, with Gov. Andrews calling for Olpenese troops to assist in the fighting. Over 400,000 Marajarbian troops are sent to the Galapagos as well, making the total of Marajarbian troops in the Galapagos over a million. In a statement, Gov. Andrews simply says "If the terrorist group known as the GLA wishes to peacefully and diplomatically negotiate, they are free to do so. However, should the violence and aggression continue, then it will continue."

All of this comes as the Marajarbian Government no longer sees a point in occupying the Galapagos due to the GLA not accepting the fate of the Galapagos. However, no moves are made yet to pull out.

Unfortunately, I must inform you that our two states will no longer share official diplomatic relations. We would like you to know that this was not an easy decision to make. We would, in the interest of mending our relations, like to tell you why we made this decision. To summarise, it is due to your support of the so-called Galapagos Liberation Army, a fascist insurgent group.

We expect your diplomat to be recalled before Christmas of this year. If you fail to do that the embassies protections will be ended and Constitution City Police will escort him/her out of the nation.

Should you wish to mend relations, I have a list of, how do I say, demands. For one, I demand you abandon the GLA. I also implore you to allow the IGRB to join the current coalition government. You should moreover vote to expel the Galapagos from the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, but this is a preference, not a demand.

F has confirmed that the guards will stay either way, especially now as Little Brothers actions might make him an enemy of the GLA.

The Sealandian diplomat leaves SO as told to. While this comes as a blow to Sealand, which was hoping to maintain relations with SO, Sealand will still support the GLA, and replies by saying that with the PLP’s defection to the GLA, Sealand has decided that supporting the GLA would allow them to try to make the GLA more moderate and democratic, and seeing the crisis the coalition government is in, this would create a more stable democracy. While it is highly possible that this can be labelled as wishful thinking, they believe that the official government is in no condition to become a stable democracy, and never will be, while the GLA would have the populace’s support and it is possible to attempt to make them more democratic. While they respect SO’s decision, they would like to offer a reason for why Sealand has decided to support the GLA. The IGRB will refuse to join the coalition government, no matter what we do, and the Galapagos would most likely stay in NATO if its members were to hold a vote.

The reason of military training have been left out, though the reasons stated in Sealand’s reply letter are true. Sealand views joining the GLA as the only option and affirming that they will back NATO, which is further strengthened by SO cutting diplomatic ties. Sealand has bow confirmed that they are going to make a hypersonic missile for use when a single country that is part of a larger alliance nukes Sealand. If the single nation is not part of an alliance, or if the alliance is doing a coordinated strike, the Sealand will use a combination of conventional ICBMs and hypersonic missiles.

The first project was the creation of nano suits for special operations. The suits would have everything a soldier needs, water and food filtration systems, a renewable oxygen supply, and enough nanoparticles to create certain objects. The scientists had already agreed to join, many of them were veterans of the drone projects. Their first task was to create a way to link nanobots and the human mind, them they could work on the nano bots themselves.

The other is a party that promises to bring peace to the nation and bring in freedom of religion whilst ending the hard labor policy as well. It is unknown if he will allow for Galaposian independence at the current moment.

The final captain of the five, the true final boss. Sara Brewster. Captin of the Republic Class Type 3, Death. A mysterious figure, silenced by her own body while shooting through the ranks of the navy given their odd ability with computers and capacity to lead, even without a voice. Alas, her hair was akin to a curtain for this odd interview, as she was even dressed up in her uniform, well perfumed and looking to the interviewers with longing, grey eyes. The press staff could feel a chill run down their backs as she took her seat at the table in the mess hall, with a strange device being set up to try to answer their questions via a robotic voice. An artificial voicebox, due to her mild disability.

Captain: And next you will ask why I joined the navy, followed by some unrelated or odd questions to act as filler, given that the actual sheet of questions doesn't exist, hence, you are tasked to try to fill time with whatever question comes to mind. I'd commend the efforts, but it seems more like an improv comedy being directed by pure incompetence. Is this correct?

The crew below those roles including maintenance and engineering would still be present as fleshy aides to the supercomputer captain. Press: So AI is not the best for war?

Captain: Not exactly. Giving AI advanced tasks is wise to help cut down incompetence, but in the end, the AI has to be willing to serve and later trained to the tasks at hand. It's just like the agricultural planning AI. Those aren't programmed for the task, they are open neural networks that experiment with the task at hand, develop their strategies in some bunker, and then get injected into some new hardware to do the job willingly. It's also why some of our autonomous city planners tend to have small quarrels over solutions for traffic, housing, and zoning.

Press: Strange. Wait, so AI is really the future?

Captain: Have you been living under a rock?

Press: Sorry! So uh, what's your opinion on AI then?

Captain: [Sara lifts up her hair with one arm, using the other to pull out some thin cables. They were attached to the base of her neck, hidden out of sight.]

Press: Odd. Conquest seemed perfectly capable of being in the air force-

Captain: Conquest has a problem with his temper and fine motor skills, the last thing anyone wants is a pilot who can't control their aircraft, swinging it into the ground on landing because they had a spasm. Captain: A professional one, she gives orders, I answer. If she told me to destroy the world, I would go ahead without hesitation. If she demanded that I turn the ship into a nuclear weapon and blow up the warheads at once, sacrificing myself, I will. Drone strikes are a given, but again, if she tells me to do so, I will do so. Gonwanza is our country, yet, she only has a shield. We in the navy are her sword and spear. North Italy Joins The Federation

Only a few months ago, the People’s Republic of Italy (commonly called North Italy) requested to join the newly formed Federation with many citizens of both nations in favour of the Republic joining. However, after the Italian People’s Republic had requested membership, everything publicly had gone radio-silent with many pointing fingers at the conservatives because many party members were known to not want new members states.

With the election of the technocrats, discussions were rumoured to of resumed between both sides so a smooth transition into a member state could be achieved. Finally today, President Gounarelis has announced the new member state of the Federation, with North Italy now labelled the Italia province. Widespread celebrations rock the country, with multiple calls for a national holiday to be established on this day but no response has been released to that as of now.

The Republic of Italy (also known as South Italy) has sent a letter of protest to the Balkans reading, “Our Northern Brothers and Sisters have been corrupted for decades by the horror of socialism and it has always been our goal to reunite. Now, you have stripped our people of hope and for us to have any chance to free our fellow Italians. We demand the Balkans do what is right and hand over the rightful lands of North Italy to us.”
This request was denied nearly unanimously by the government, citing the fact that only 2% of Italians in the Balkans wish for the reintegration into the “corrupt, mafia-run Republic of Italy” which had caused the breakdown of relations between the two states.

After the Belarusian declaration of war against Poland, the coalition that includes nearly all of the European continent has made successful advances into the nation. Alexander Lukashenko, the Belarusian President, has denied any rumours of retreats or defeats in conflict saying this to Belarusians, “Belarus is an impenetrable fortress, the evils that now attempt to breach it are failing. They have begun fleeing, they now see our true power but I must warn you all of the possibilities of exhaustion. I, your leader, humbly ask you to sign up and chase the forces of hell itself back to where they belong!”

However, the actual situation is worsening for the Belarusian armed forces as coalition forces are now arriving in Bulk to the front lines that now span all of the Belarusian borders. Constant bombardments from the air and ground have given the nation the nickname “the crater of Europe”. Many in Belarus now march into the streets demanding Lukashenko’s removal from power but his response to the protests have only been that of suppression by using the police and the military.

With Europe Military Alliances member’s militaries now arriving in mass, an official statement has been released, “The Dark Storm Clouds that linger above Europe will soon subside, Belarus will be freed by our forces. We do not doubt that Belarus will fall in the next few weeks/months of fighting, we urge the dictator of Belarus to surrender to avoid more tragic deaths.”

The Turkish Economy under the recently established “Military Council” has been in a dive after the entire nation came to a standstill after millions went to the streets in protest against the council and with multiple hacking incidents which stopped online activities for days at a time. Many are calling it, “The Worst Weeks in Turkey this Century”.

International aid has been mostly halted due to allegations of funds being sent elsewhere by the military council, causing further economic collapse across the nation. This has led to Turkey desperately trying to sell off “troublesome or useless” land and assets, such as military equipment to Iran, military bases to Britain and Russia and a proposed sale of the European part of the county which is currently home to large portions of the protests.

No public response has been published regarding the sale, most likely because of the fact only 68% of the proposed area wish to join the Balkan Federation but rumours of an ongoing vote in the government have been circulating online. Recent polls conducted by the Balkan Daily have shown 67% of those who responded wished for the proposed area to join the Federation while the rest answered with 21% no and with 12% having mixed feelings about it.

South Olpen agrees to take control of the Galapagos, and decides to appoint Félix Moïse Lachapelle a former candidate for Island Secretary of the Verir Islands. He is flown to the Galapagos to be sworn in as the new governor-general of the Galapagos. With this, more troops are sent to the Galapagos. Governor Lachapelle promises to pursue a more peaceful strategy. He calls for elections in January of 2036 so that a new government may run the government in conjunction with him. It is unknown if he will allow for Galaposian independence at the current moment.

Furthermore, a hypersonic missile is being tested, again on the ocean. This test, however, turned out to be a failure, and it disappeared in an unknown location.

Two hours ago, the Chamber Minister of South Olpen issued the Déclaration D'urgence sur la Situation aux Galapagos which officially labeled the Galapagos Liberation Army as an enemy of the people of South Olpen and the democratic world. He authorized deploying 7 million drones into the Galapagos to put down the open rebellion.

Governor-General Félix Moïse Lachapelle has been replaced with General Charles Vriken, a celebrated military commander and veteran of many wars. He will still retain the rank of Supreme Commander of Olpenese Army Forces on Land. Has bounced intentions to start a conventional war against the GLA. He will postpone elections planned by Governor Lachapelle until 2037, that if the civil war ends by then.

The Olpenese Defense Force have labeled the GLA the number one threat to peace and stability, aka public enemy #1. It's leader, Richard Harry will be charged with multiple crimes in absentia before an international military tribunal. Lawyers are practically bidding to be the prosecutor. It is unknown if a public defense will be able to be provided as nobody wants to defend him this actions.

3 senators, all from Coral, have argued that South Olpen should withdraw from he Galapagos. They were previously Conservative Democrats, but have since been expelled from the party. There popularity rating have dropped from 79% to 3% just hours after they announced there support for peace, and many are calling for recall elections as they no longer represent the party they were voted in with.



Attempt on the Life of Little Brother of Sealand Fails, Perpetrators killed or captured
Reports have indicated that the GLA has attempted to assassinate the democratic ruler of Sealand, Little Brother. The attempt has failed, but guards of the leader lay dead and injured, including 2 Olpenese SSD agents. He is currently in the hospital from minor grazing of the thigh, hand, and stomach, as well as for temporary deafness due to the firefight.

The Secret Service Division as well as Sealandian guards have announced to have captured one of the would-be assassins. He is currently under surveillance in an unknown facility receiving medical care for many of the same injuries that Little Brother is facing. Once he is healed, it is inferred he will be interrogated.

Morgan celebrated with a surprise visit to his second hometown, West Ford (the town where he spent half his childhood, and met his wife) the press was not alerted of this, since Colin Morgan wished it to be a private, family visit. Colin is now spending a week with his in-laws (good luck).

Following the assassination attempt, Little Brother congratulates the SSD for their work, and Parliament debates an act that will unofficially declare war on the GLA in response to the attempt on Little Brother's life. The act is expected to win in a landslide, though no troops will be sent, and no attacks will be made on NATO members or their troops. Sealand will back the government, seeing it as a vast improvement to the previous administration, and not as extreme or dangerous as the GLA. Many citizens of Sealand offer their condolences for the injured, while the government make preparations for further assassination attempts and retaliation against the GLA.

Despite the recall of Marajarbian forces, Gov. Andrews, as well as 500,000 Marajarbian Troops and 1,500 Knightmare Lite Glasgows remain in the Galapagos to assist in this conflict. Gov. Andrews plans on working with General Vriken on finally securing the Galapagos. However, while Gov. Andrews remains as Marajarbian Provisional Council Rep, all he can do for now is call for elections and control the movement of Marajarbian troops in the area.

The Atlantican Government has convened a confidential meeting of the heads of the Central Intelligence Agency, the Inter-Agency Security Force, the Agency for National Security, the Agency for Domestic Security, and the Agency for International Development to discuss the possibility of the lending of aid to South Olpen and Southern Marajarba in their fight against the Galapagos Liberation Army, or the GLA. The move came after the Chamber Minister of South Olpen declared open war on the GLA, bringing the attention of Atlantica to the conflict.

Ambassador Sir William Hart, Baron Hart of Kensington, the Atlantican UF Affairs Bureau chief, has been dispatched to South Olpen to engage in top secret negotiations with its government to discuss the possibility of joint intervention against the Galapagos Liberation Army.

During the top secret meeting, President Carter when asked whether or not they were opposing freedom fighters responded, saying, 'we support the Olpenese, we show them that we are supportive of their existence and are furthermore interested in co-operation'

OOC: Time to try to develop a character for once!

SIC: It had been a typical day for the Athens police force, with only minor thefts and other low-level offences taking place but as one of the day teams were about to switch with the night teams, an alert would be sent across the radio, “There’s been a murder at [DATA LOST], please respond immediately as a possible suspect may still in the local area.”

Within a matter of minutes, the team of four officers (two were armed with lethal weapons) had arrived. They began closing the crime scene and began examining the victim’s more obvious wounds. “Ouch, look likes a possible fire. Doesn't look like it was natural, somehow it looks like it came from below quickly and then stopped,” explained Officer [1].

In one of the nearby alleyways, footsteps and something that sounded like a robotic, insane laugh echoed through the area. Officer [3] and Officer [4] decided to sprint down to the alleyway, while Officer [1] and Officer [2] stayed behind as they were not armed with lethal weapons.

They had reached the alleyway, where a “man” stood with their face away from the officers. “SHOW US YOUR HANDS!” Officer [4] would shout with a similar message from Officer [3]. The man would slowly turn around, where his looks turned out to be barely human, with a pale face, red coloured eyes, a robotic style smile and a simple suit that had burn marks on.

“Officers, I assure you, I have no relation to the misfortune around the corner. I would assume you'd much rather continue your investigation, instead of wasting valuable hours of your lives?” The man spoke, slowly with an eerie calm to his voice, as he glared at the officers.

“You are a suspect in the murder, show us your hands NOW!” Officer [3] responded as he had begun looking nervous.

“Such a shame, but officers.” The Man would say, before snapping his fingers. “I had warned you about wasting those hours of your existence.”

The entire alleyway would burst into flames, filling it up with smoke and allowing for the “man” to flee the scene. The aftermath of the incident had caused a major fire that engulfed the area, killing all four officers and two civilians with these events only being captured by the body cameras found at the scene. The culprit, now known as Lucifer, is assumed to be an immediate threat with orders for it to be taken in alive.
