Transition of Raudoya from Republic to Monarchy
For the safety of the Federation, thousands gathered before the Executive Mansion as Ottokar Janecek held a live press conference. Dressed in full military attire and joined by the rest of the military high command, Janecek spot before the first ever filming campaign of the newly formed TeleRaudoya while his voice was projected into the homes of every citizen via Raudoya-Radio. Janecek spoke in regards to the failed December Conspiracy that attempted to overthrow the government and resulted in the death of Boris Simek. He asserted the conspiracy was a sign of a potential instability in the state.
With this Janecek revealed that he had authorized a survey of the nation, having Federal forces conduct petitions across the provinces conducted from 18:00 to 23:00 on January 1st and with the results counted found 97% of the nation in favor of the new People’s Constitution written by the marshal. “The people need consolidation for this nation to be strong and for all people of the Federation to live in safety and harmony,” stated the marshal. With the dangers of instability follow an untimely death, Janecek further asserted that “A new strong monarchical form government, will be better than every other form for the Raudoyans,” citing the strength of southern centralized monarchies.
Ottokar Janecek then announced that he would “accept the crown, for it is the will of the People”. At 17:00 the marshal spoke before the assembled citizens of the nation for the common vow: “Me, the King of Raudoyans, in the moment I am ascending to the Throne of the Raudoyan Kingdom and taking over the Royal Power, I vow infront of God to keep safe the national unit, state independence and the territorial integrity. I also will take care of the People’s Constitution and I will act exaclty according to the constitution and to the law, having in mind the welfare of my people”.
To institutionalize the Monarchy, the People’s constitution provided that the Royal Throne belonged to the oldest boy of the King and the heritage would continue in generations in direct line, male to male. If the heir died or lost the right of the heritage, the throne would inherited by his oldest boy. If there was not a heir for the Royal Throne, according to the articles 51, 52 the king had the right to choose another male as his heir to the throne, but in this case he had to have the approval of the newly formed National Parliament. The new parliament is to be comprised of the Legislative Body, made up of 200 elected delegates every six years and the Senate, made up of 20 appointees selected by the King for life.
With this the newly proclaimed Ottokar, King of the Raudoyans announced the dawn of a new era in the strength and prosperity of the nation for the safety of the people. Given the right to rule and lead by the calls of the people, he went out onto the balcony overlooking the crowds with his family and greeted the people as a new national anthem was played. As the new sovereign waved to the crowds, the members of the December Conspiracy, including the entire of the old corrupt and the Revolutionary Council were gathered on the tops of the Executive mansion. The dozens of men who had dared to plot against the will of the people had nooses fixed around their nexts and for their treason, thrown off, hanging and thrashing before the crowd until they were dead. The reign of King Ottokar has begun, and it was meet with thunderous applause!
