The Zombie Plague Spreads (SR/Any tech, OOC/Signups

In keeping with the results of the poll I did, this Halloween season Olwe will be dealing with zombies. And your nation can too! Before I post the IC thread I want to hear your ideas though. Let’s hear what you’ve got, I want to make this plague a big apocalyptic event.

One more thing: I tagged Screw Realism in the subject line, but this is an open RP. If you’re interested sign up, if you’re interested in SR sign up there too, but you’re under no obligation to do both. Once the IC is up I’ll link it here as well as posting it in a reply. It’s 9:52 am, so I’m off to bed now. Yes, I do keep strange hours.

It would be funny to see how Gonswanza deals with this threat. Personally, I won't consider it canon, but maybe as a (virtual) wargame... Even if I'd have to refer to that one US document as a way to structure the response proper (I won't follow it word-for-word, given we are dealing with the most common type - pathogenic zombies). We haven’t determined what caused the outbreak yet, that’s kind of what this thread is for. So far, possible culprits that have been floated in the IC are:

-Virus
-Sith magic/murakami orchid (the Star Wars book Red Harvest is recommended reading just for fun anyway, but will also explain this reference)
-Terrorist attack
-Dark matter
-If there’s something in your country that could have caused it, add that to the list

Gonswanza claims that it could be viral, given it's spread and properties... Plus the fact that there's now infected aquatic life as well. EMZ (Evil Magic Zombies) is out of the question, given the US has referred to just burning them. Vegetarian Zombies (VZ) are not at all likely, given they chase after people, not crops. Space Zombies (SZ) isn't happening, plus the origin would also indicate otherwise. Radiation Zombies (RZ), Pathogenic Zombies (PZ), Weaponized Zombies (WZ, effectively weaponized zombies) and Symbiant-Induced Zombies (SIZ) are all likely culprits, though the Radiation Zombies are unlikely given that otherwise nuke plants and nuclear waste disposal sites would be overrun as zombie factories.

Adding to that, we don't have Chicken Zombies (CZ) yet... But given the "virus" is also attacking birds, it can be likely, adding to the threat in spite of being more so tied into the former zeds.

Also, EMZ is not possible due to zeds staying dead as dirt post-mortem without a need to exorcise them or yeet them with blessed weapons... And we don't have the weird COD zombies stuff going around. They also aren't deadites either.
