Welcome back to the Aussie Rules World Cup (ARWC) for its fourth edition, the official cup for Australian Rules football! Over three editions, two or three powerhouses have emerged, with the likes of Sarzonia and Sylestone each winning a cup before the former won out in a final between the two nations in the third edition, hosted in Sylestone and Baggieland. However, with the likes of Ko-oren, TJUN-ia, HUElavia and Hebitaka coming through the ranks, anyone could win this edition. Who will?

In order to sign up, just post your intentions as a new post below.

Puppet Policy
Any nation may enter a puppet, but this must be confirmed by both the puppet and the main that they are both run by the same user. Additionally, each user may only enter one puppet and all main nations will be preferred over any puppets participating.

Host Bids
Any nation may bid to host the fourth Aussie Rules World Cup, whether experienced or new. Host bids must include a little bit of national IC information, proposed formats, tiebreakers, scorination methods and experience, or in other words, the things you would usually see in a host bid.
The host bid deadline will be set to October 26 at 7:00 am, AEDT (Oct 25, 8:00 pm UTC). If there are no bids by that point, the bidding deadline will be extended for another three days after the first host bid is announced.

HOST BID

The player behind The Alani is the same player behind Baggieland.

I will be Rping as Baggieland, not as The Alani (except for a roster).

All group games will be scorinated by The Alani.

All knockout games involving Baggieland will be scorinated by Sylestone (or another experienced host, should Sylestone not be available), all other knockout games will be scorinated by The Alani.

Experience
Baggieland hosted ARWC I and co-hosted ARWC III alongside Sylestone. Baggieland has also hosted its region’s football tournament and the Three Degrees tennis tournament. Links can be found at the bottom signature of Baggieland's posts.

Scorination
Scorination will be done via xkoranate with the Australian Rules Football four quarters formula. RP Bonuses will be generous, favouring quality over quantity. Rosters will be worth twice the amount of an RP. The cutoffs will be around 48 hours apart. Cut off times will be between midnight UTC and 8am UTC (sometimes I can scorinate before I start work, other times when I finish work).

Finally
Why host as The Alani and not as Baggieland?

There are two reasons:
1. If you look at "The Alani Intro" in the factbook section, you will see that getting around is somewhat troublesome! I thought this could make for some interesting RPs especially from those that like to get a pre-matchday 1 RP in.

2. For those of us who have followed ARWC since the first edition, you will know that Baggieland and Sarzonia have built up a bit of a rivalry. We have played each other four times, with Baggieland winning once and Sarzonia thrice. Baggieland's only win came in Sylestone, whereas all three of Sarzonia's wins have come in Baggieland. So clearly Sarzonia enjoys playing in Baggieland. By not having the tournament in Baggieland I hope to put an end to this nefarious statistic!

ICly, the Department of Health and Athletics would have misgivings about a country without any international hosting experience holding an event like this.

OOCly, I know what you can do and I don't have OOC misgivings about you hosting regardless of which country you use.
