The United Adaikes National Volleyball Federation (UANVF) has sent an invitation to UAAUA Volleyball, inviting the top eight (8) permanent member universities in volleyball to join the first conference of the first season of the Adaikes Volleyball League, the AVL Invitational I. With that, the UAAUA Volleyball organized a volleyball tournament for the permanent member universities.

The United Adaikes National Volleyball Federation organized a professional volleyball league in the United Adaikes, the Adaikes Volleyball League (AVL). It has 16 teams coming from private companies, branches of the military of the country, as well as its military academy (which is not a member of the UAAUA).

President, United Adaikes National Volleyball Federation: Becka Reynolds
Commissioner, Adaikes Volleyball League: Amado Tupper

It has two tournaments in one season. The first one, the AVL Invitational, invites the top eight (8) member universities of UAAUA Volleyball. With a total of 24 teams, they are divided into four (4) groups. There should be no more than two (2) university teams in one (1) group. They play a double round-robin with the teams in their group before the top four (4) teams in each group advance to a final double-elimination stage to determine the winner of the AVL Invitational.
When the UAAUA Volleyball Championship is ongoing, the AVL plays the AVL Grand Prix, with only the 16 teams vying for volleyball supremacy in the United Adaikes. All 16 teams play each other twice, with the top 12 teams advancing to a final double-elimination stage to determine the winner of the AVL Grand Prix.

United Adaikes National Volleyball Team

Three (3) weeks before the Volleyball World Expo 13, when the United Adaikes Volleyball National Team met for the first time in the New Thraproy Sports Complex, the players were still curious as to why the coaching staff told them to bring beach volleyball gear.

On the second day of training, the coaching staff told them to be in beach volleyball gear for the next day.

The following day, the team was at the beach volleyball courts in the Sports Complex. Coach Kennedy Glass then paired a player with another, telling them they would identify the two (2) pairs representing United Adaikes in the next cycle of the IVF World Beach Volleyball Championships. These were the pairs:
Palmer Marshall/Allyn Vargas
Francis Morce/Christmas Hanley
Dell Firmin/Skyler Harden
Bronte Lobo/Angel Atterberry
River Peyton/Rory Whittemore
Haven Cannon/Carson Bloxam
Kevyn Castilla/Arden Milburn

They then played a double-elimination mini-tournament to determine the two (2) pairs.

Final Result of the United Adaikes National Team Beach Volleyball Qualifiers:
Kevyn Castilla/Arden Milburn - Winner
Haven Cannon/Carson Bloxam - Runner-up
River Peyton/Rory Whittemore
Francis Morce/Christmas Hanley
Bronte Lobo/Angel Atterberry
Palmer Marshall/Allyn Vargas
Dell Firmin/Skyler Harden

Even before the current government intervened and proposed sports as a significant contributing factor in the community to lessen crime and drugs, especially to the youth, football clubs and competitions have sprouted all over the local scene in the United Adaikes. With the help of the private industries and companies, the United Adaikes Football Association (UAFA) institutionalized a professional football league system, Adaikes Premier Football (the "League" was dropped in the name after the league division, as the Adaikes Premier Football League connotes the top-tier football league).

Head, United Adaikes Football Association: Myron Lillakis
Chairperson, Adaikes Premier Football: Primula Wood

Adaikes Premier Football

Starting as a 31-team 62-matchday league, the league system was divided into two leagues after the first season. The second season also introduced the league cup, the Adaikes Football Cup. The UAAUA Football is the primary source of prospect players for the professional football teams.

Adaikes Premier Football League
Season I

When the government announced the creation of a professional football league and that all cities in the United Adaikes would be participating, more or less 1, 000 men and women, ages 18-40, participated in the tryouts held by the teams.

The teams are only capped to have 30 players submitted as the official members of the team for the league. However, it is the discretion of the team to sign trial or practice players. Also, players aged 18-23 that are still in the university should not be given professional contracts but are included in the count of the official team members unless the player forgoes college. A player who has also forgone college but wants to return to a UAAUA university to finish their degree cannot play for that university in UAAUA Football games.

As it is the first season, the league directed the teams to give a one-year contract only to their players, but teams can offer multiple-year contract extensions (maximum of five years) to players in the middle of the season.

In a match, there should be 23 players ready for a team to play in a friendly match with no maximum number of substitutions and 18 players for a league match with a maximum of 3 substitutions in a match. There should always be at least two (2) goalkeepers in the team (one starter and one reserve goalkeeper).

While it is still the first season of domestic football in the United Adaikes, it gave a preview of which teams will need to revamp or stay with their current lineup but make tweaks in their strategies. If a team leans on the latter but doesn't get the results they want, the next question will be up 'til when the team makes tweaks until they decide to revamp.

But with the grueling 62-matchday league, the APFL leadership has thought of making amendments in the league system.

Adaikes Premier Football
Season II
Part I

Based on the agreements made by the United Adaikes Football Association (UAFA) and the Adaikes Premier Football (APF) leadership, with the previous grueling 31-team 62-matchday league, these are the following changes that will happen in the second season of the Adaikes Premier Football.

A. The league system is divided into two, APFL and ACFL
Formerly a 31-team league, the league system will be divided into two, the Adaikes Premier Football League (APFL), which comprises the top 16 teams in the previous season, and the Adaikes Candidates Football League (ACFL), the bottom 15 teams during the last season. After the final matchday of the season, the team at the bottom of the standings in APFL will be relegated to the ACFL, while the team at the top of the standings in the ACFL will be promoted to the APFL. There will also be a classification play-off for APFL #14 vs. ACFL #3 and APFL #15 vs. ACFL #2. The winners will remain in/be promoted to the APFL, while the losers will stay in/be relegated to the ACFL.

Teams receive three points for a win and one point for a draw. No points are awarded for a loss. Teams are ranked by total points, then goal difference, and then goals scored. If still equal, teams are deemed to occupy the same position. If there is a tie for the championship, relegation, or qualification to other competitions, a play-off match at a neutral venue decides rank.

B. League-sanctioned preseason friendly games
While teams can have friendly games throughout the year, whether in- or off-season, as long as there is a gap between games (at least four (4) days before/after the next/previous game), teams will play a maximum of 4 scheduled preseason games by the APF. With an odd number of teams, there will be teams that will play three (3) matches only in the preseason. Restrictions are also in place for teams that are in the ACFL playing against teams from the APFL. The top 8 APFL teams cannot field more than five players in the field at the same time that have played more than 60% of league games in the previous season when facing ACFL teams. The bottom 8 APFL teams cannot field more than seven players in the field at the same time that have played more than 60% of league games in the previous season when facing the bottom 8 ACFL teams. No other restrictions are in place for other matchups unless stated otherwise.

C. The Adaikesian Football Cup
A league cup is introduced to highlight domestic football teams in the United Adaikes. For this year, it will only include the Adaikes Premier Football teams. Negotiations are currently being reviewed to include UAAUA teams in the Adaikesian Football Cup in the following years.

D. Introduction of Amendments as Preparation for International Club Competitions
With the United Adaikes slowly participating in international sporting competitions, these amendments are to ensure the participation and the preparation of teams to be at par with the different countries in terms of domestic football.

The defending league champions started the preseason with good form, winning against Towmes Wolves, 3-1. Dynamic captain Billy Jordan assisted in all goals that went in. Derick Parsons scored 2 of the 3 goals. The Silyatown Hounds also got an upset against Perthdoches Hyenas, 3-1. Last year's midtable finisher, Silyatown, won against last year's 5th team in the league in their home. However, the biggest upset seen in the first matchday of the preseason was the ACFL side Ngadabrigg Sparks drawing 2-2 against the APFL side Steskia Bold Kings. The Bold Kings were 2 places behind the league champions.

While the defending league champions had a good game in their previous matchday, it's the total opposite for this matchday. A heavy upset win by Bridgeside Giants against the Gasple Dynamic, 5-2. But it's not only the Dynamic who had a bad matchday. The Bold Kings drew again with an ACFL side, 1-1 against the Radyu Bullets, while the second-to-the-last team from last season won against APFL side Mille-mer Islanders, 2-1.

The top 6 teams from the last season, sans 3rd, had excellent matchdays. It was a different story for last year's 7th team Fort Bloom Crocodiles, as they lost 1-0 to fellow APFL side Fastdar Steel Hogs. Last year's 18th team also snatched a win against last year's 8th team North Shil Silent Vipers, 1-0.

Gasple Dynamic could not score against fellow APFL side Linraunds Griffins, ending in a dull 0-0 draw. The East Fairdesshields Eagles also had to score a late-minute goal against ACFL side Ngadabrigg Sparks, 3-2. APFL side Endjor Anacondas can also only muster a draw with ACFL side New Roenage Legends, 2-2. Mille-mer Islanders also got an upset win over last year's 7th team, the Fort Bloom Crocodiles. The Islanders were 12th last season.

Towmes Wolves 4 0 0 4 0 4 0 4 0
*APFL Team

Some better-performing teams from last season only got a few wins in the preseason. This could be the effect of APFL teams not fielding their usual lineup when facing the ACFL teams, which the latter uses to their advantage. However, it is truly an awful preseason for the defending league champions as they can only get two (2) wins and one (1) draw in their four (4) preseason matches. The best-performing APFL team would be the Bridlo Riddles, with a 3-1-0 win-draw-loss record, playing 3 APFL teams in their four (4) matches, only getting one (1) draw from the East Fairdesshield Eagles, an APFL team. The worst-performing APFL team would be the Fort Bloom Crocodiles, with a 0-1-3 win-draw-loss record, playing 3 ACFL teams in their four (4) matches, getting only a draw against the West Lucha Wolverines, the best-performing ACFL team, with a 3-1-0 win-draw-loss record, playing two (2) teams from both the APFL and ACFL.

Season Predictions

Considering the results of the previous season and the preseason games, the APF consolidated the predictions of recognized pundits for the standings of the league table at the end of the season.

APFL
Gasple Dynamic
Bridlo Riddles
Wramerbadshot Watchers
Perthdoches Hyenas
Steskia Bold Kings
East Fairdesshields Eagles
Stonesafdam Saints
Endjor Anacondas
North Shil Silent Vipers
Silyatown Hounds
Fastdar Steel Hogs
Neojunc Wildcats
Squiston Hard Goblins
Mille-mer Islanders
Fort Bloom Crocodiles
Linraunds Griffins

While the defending league champions had a lousy preseason, pundits still think they will win this season - provided everyone stays healthy. The Steskia Bold Kings dropped two places below their final standings from last season. This is due to the pundits' analysis of only winning one (1) match and drawing two (2) facing ACFL teams. With that, the Watchers and the Hyenas climb up one place. The Stonesafdam Saints and the Fastdar Steel Hogs will move four places higher than their final standings from the last season. The biggest loser is Fort Bloom Crocodiles, also fueled by their performance in the preseason, dropping eight places below their final standings from last season.

ACFL
Stoneryn Lions
West Lucha Wolverines
Telscog Mammoths
Stonenchordon Shadows
Radyu Bullets
New Roenage Legends
Bridgeside Giants
Endshe Porters
Steskia Dodgers
Pricepud Wizards
Wramerbadshot Pirates
Ngadabrigg Sparks
Towmes Wolves
Red Forthder Chiefs
Nememslow Bulldogs

There are no significant changes in the predicted final standings based on the combined performance of the ACFL teams in the previous season and the preseason. The biggest mover is the Wrarnerbadshot Pirates with three (3) places, while the Legends and the Bulldogs drop two (2) places than their final standings from last season.

Adaikes Football Cup

With only 31 teams vying for the Cup, the previous season's standings will be used as the seeds for this tournament. With an odd number of teams, the defending league champions, the Gasple Dynamic, will have a bye in Round 1.

Cup Schedule
Round 1 - after Matchday 3
Round 2 - after Matchday 8
Quarterfinals - after Matchday 13
Semi-finals - after Matchday 18

It was no secret that the rugby union players comprising the national team sent to the Rugby Union World Cup 31 were a mix of college players and members from the uniformed services. The difference between the college players and the uniformed services members is their age. The difference between the UAAUA players and the United Adaikes Military Academy players is their haircut.

While there have been increased talks about having a domestic rugby union system in the United Adaikes, the Civil-Military Division of the Department of Military Affairs and the Community Relations Division of the Department of Public Safety organized a rugby union league tournament for the ten (10) operational units under these departments to increase the fostering of partnerships between the units and encourage the youth in joining these units and/or participating in sports, guided under the new national policy of the Salazar government.

Joining the tournament are the four units under the Department of Military Affairs: the Air Force, the Army, the Marine Corps, and the Navy; the five units under the Department of Public Safety: the Coast Guard, the Emergency Medical Services, the Fire Bureau, the National Police, and the Search and Rescue, and lastly, the United Adaikes Military Academy.

The league will have a double round-robin format, giving four points for a win, two points for a draw, a bonus point for winning a match with more than 15 points, and a bonus point for losing within five points. The team with the most points at the end of the double round-robin will have a home advantage in the whole duration of the playoffs. In the case of a tie, the number of wins breaks the ties.

With the increasing participation of the service units of the United Adaikes Armed Forces (UAAF) in multiple domestic sports competitions, the UAAF, the United Adaikes Sports Commission (UASC), and the United Adaikes Olympic Committee (UAOC) signed a Memorandum of Agreement providing the management, development, and training of identified and potential soldier-athletes who shall compete in international sports competitions.

To celebrate the promulgation of the Agreement, the UAAF organized a one-day sepak takraw tournament, the third most popular sport in the profession of arms (next to rugby and volleyball). The UAAF, fielding a separate team in the tournament, invited the Air Force of the United Adaikes (AFUA), the Army of the United Adaikes (AUA), the Navy of the United Adaikes (NUA), as well as the specialized unit of the NUA, the Marine Corps of the United Adaikes (MCUA). The UAAF also invited the United Adaikes Military Academy (UAMA), knowing that the Military Academy is not a member of the University Athletic Association of the United Adaikes (UAAUA), the governing body of collegiate sports in the country.

The six teams will play each other once, with the top two (2) teams advancing to the semi-finals of a single-elimination playoff round, while the other four (4) teams will battle it out in the quarterfinals. The losers in the quarterfinals will play in a 5th-place playoff.
