Imperium Anglorum Proposed the Banning of the Death Penalty.
I hereby question the Fact to Repeal this Resolution. In a couple of days, I will be writing an Appeal to this Resolution as I think in my opinion, this is not a resolution.

Who exactly are you appealing to here? Do you mean you plan on REPEALING the resolution? If so I would suggest lengthy research on the difference between and appeal and a repeal. Now that being said, since all we have here is a fairly empty promise, there is very little to discuss.

You mean repeal, not appeal. What you're trying to do (and you're not even doing that action) is to repeal the resolution. Until then, please discern the difference between the two words and not waste further time.

To be clear, there’s no appeal system for resolutions. If you don’t like a resolution, draft a repeal explaining your reasoning (I highly suggest reading the WA rules and procedures first) and post the draft version as a new thread on this forum so people can critique your repeal, before you submit it to the WA. If you don’t follow WA guidelines when you submit it, it will be removed for being illegal, which can be very frustrating.

Your repeal text should also offer some reasoning as to why you think the target resolution is faulty/inadequate/leads to unintended circumstances. It’s usually not enough to just say you disagree with the premise.

Also, you should create a separate thread for each topic you want to discuss, instead of trying to discuss everything you want to do on the one thread. Have a look at some of the other threads on the forum to get an idea of the kinds of things that deserve their own thread.

Hi new nation!

Welcome to the WA!

So a couple of things, first, it doesn’t matter what you’re allowing, the moderators will dictate that and they generally don’t care for discussion threads such as this. I might be wrong but I haven’t seen it allowed before.

As for appealing, that might be a real world term you’re using in a way I can’t follow but here on this forum we only make proposals to either make something a resolution or proposals to REPEAL an existing resolution. We can’t amend and we don’t discuss the possibility of something, we either commit to a cause or abandon it.

As another nation pointed out, there are plenty of existing threads around that you can view to see the general format we do things with around here and there are some helpful FAQ’s floating around too.

It’s good to see you interested, keep that, just learn the rules and the system before you try. Some of the older nations might seem grumpy and I apologise on their behalf’s, you have to remember you’re not the first person to come in and get it not quite right, and you won’t be the last. It gets frustrating over the years. Don’t take it personally. Just pause what you’re doing now. Reevaluate and when you know the rules and procedures I look forward to seeing your first attempt!
