Preferably more nation-based than character-based, but a small meet and greet of world leaders is fine too. Honestly, anything could go. Hell, I could even try to host an open forum in Gonswanza's (pseudo-)capital for the sake of forming diplomatic ties while oddly suited agents loom over everyone's shoulders checking to make sure that nobody was dumb enough to dust their tie with anthrax.

Just looking for a nation willing to let me put a minuscule territory on it called Aire Fuerte. Its a peninsula bought by the prince of my country in the 1930s to expand the Welzat footprint and trade in the world. The reality is now the territory is used by the elites of the country as a getaway from the harsh winters of Welzat and a small tourist industry is growing. The population is just around 2,000 or so people and is a tropical forest with great beaches. I have made a basic map of the territory so you may get a better idea. I am willing to change climates and everything if it fits better with your nation and lore. In addition, this could lead to some RPs whether it be friendly tradings to invasions to take it back. Just telegram me or reply if anyone is interested in having a new neighbor.

Ditto, though On Edge And In Grave Danger has a few conflicts brewing:
Ukrainian civil war
Brazillian civil war (starting to wind down, slowly, as a proxy war)
Afghan-Chinese war ("Its all gone to [redacted]!")

Plus the very likely chances of another conflict for the Suez Canal, Pakistan and India, and the Philippines.

Granted, an assault on Taiwan is very, very likely if China manages to dodge around the Philippines in time, keeping the USN focused there.

Currently have three past tech RP ideas(for years 1865, 1915, and 1949), for the few out there who actually prefer to do those. The main problem I’m facing is making a map for the world seeing as how my universe takes place on an Earth with different geography. It wouldn’t be a “canon” RP, so having real life nations attend would be fine. Could explain it more, if anyone is interested.

It's set in a fictional country - perhaps an island in Europe with no RL counterpart, and some of our nations here co-exist with real ones. If this was RL Europe, that'd be Portal to the Multiverse wouldn't it?

But this plotline is a lot lighter, softer and sunnier than other RP's; a wealthy woman, Klaudia Waismann, Sabina Nazzarro or Marie-Hélène Pélissier (name undecided) decides to invite her friends from across the world to experience the cuisines and culture of her country, and making new friends. It's a food-and-friends RP if that's how you want to classify it.

No world leaders, no military, just ordinary people, although ordinary is subjective at best here, but these rich people aren't the mega-rich, but rich enough...

There's no major villain causing the conflict here; the conflict comes from other things.

So, my nation is very small, but the ruling family is still rather wealthy. The nation actually exists due to a border dispute between it's neighbors. The count who owned the disputed land became a sovereign prince, but as part of the agreement is committed to neutrality.

My idea is to have multiple threads that basically revolve around the interference of other countries in Niederthal. What kind of interference? It could range from trying to arrange a royal marriage to trying to spark a war. The goals can be personal or geopolitical, but it is best when they are both. For example, a head of state may want to see his sister happily married and expand his political influence and therefore try to arrange a marriage of his sister to the heir. Of course, for every plan there is an opponent, and maybe someone wants to hinder the marriage, or change the order of succession, etc.

The beauty of my nation being so small, is that the stakes are relatively low, so that no large armies are needed, just one or two spies or diplomats. At the same time, it could make a big enough splash in the news so that politician might think it is worth the small expenditure.

The plots might be a little complicated, because the goal would often be to do something with out other nations knowing that you are doing it. For example, an attempt to change the order of succession might involve a foreign agent befriending the heir, only to encourage scandalous behavior. At the same time feminist groups would be funded to demand that the ruling Prince's daughter be made the heir.

You have a lot going on there. The good news is that you don't seem challenged for ideas in what would be a good way to start a RP OP. The not so great is that you want to throw in everything all at once, or have multiple threads going at the same time. I don't recommend it, especially when first starting out on NS. I would say start off small. Take one idea and build on that. Make a brainstorming/sign up thread, then turn it into your OOC discussion thread later. See what input other players have there and how they want to get involved in your story.

Most of your ideas seem to be around the subject of court intrigue, so maybe start with one royal mishap or succession issue, see where the story takes you, then as it winds down, throw in the next plot twist to amp things back up, and so on and so on. Let it flow naturally and see if you even need to pile all that on. You have backup ideas, again, if you need them to fire the thread back up, or you have to start over because an RP idea failed or didn't get enough attention from other players.

Another is a spy is caught in the capital resulting in the government demanding an answer from yours on why a spy is in the country

An simple diplomatic meeting between my leader and yours in the capital of Dradkar. This would be very rare occurrence for North Kospean and would be met with praise

Finally, a labor dispute between miners and the government where your nation would be the mediator between the two sides or provide peacekeepers.

These are all solid ideas that should attract at least 1, if not 2 players. One to be the antagonist and the other to be the mediator. If you don't get a bite here, maybe think about opening up an interest thread either in International Incidents or the NationStates forum.
