Parliamentary elections begin
Prime Minister Rowland faces an uphill battle with LibCon popularity at an all-time low and a resurgent Liberal Union threatening the coalition majority. Democratic Labour Party remains committed to a possible coalition government with LibCons if the election is favourable, says First Secretary Adama Violetta. Rowland has served as Prime Minister for the past 12 years as the longest-serving PM in Commonwealth history but has suffered a slump in approval as of late.
