OOC discussion done over discord. Join here if you wish to play!

This last half century has not been kind to the inhabitants of September Island. Falling under the boot of a brutal regime which sold out the island’s mineral wealth for military contractors to keep them in power, seeing that regime grow increasingly deranged in their pursuit of nuclear weapons following the mining industry’s collapse, and even fearing the very real onset of thermonuclear warfare with the regime’s rivals in neighbouring United City States of Oceania, some may have assumed the island was at its lowest point. When Oceanian forces landed in 2035 and swept away the old regime, some even dared to hope that the long process of reconstruction could finally begin.

Instead this began an even bloodier string of affairs. Oceania quickly moved to annex September Island into their union, earning them scorn on the international stage. The Federation of Arcadian States and Commonwealths dispatched a fleet to the area, concerned for the safety of their large expat community on the island. Meanwhile the remnants of September Island’s old regime had fled abroad, using their offshore wealth to hire a Vilhalan corporate army for the recapture of their valuable island. The FASC-Corporate coalition launched their attack only a few days later in a massed paradrop and beach landing which observers believed would overwhelm the defences in mere hours. But to their shock the opposite happened, as the Arcadians were outmaneuvered by the Oceanians and their own military contractors. When night fell the coalition had withdrawn, extracting only a promise to not harm the expats.

Emboldened by this victory and anticipating their imminent rise to superpower status, the Oceanian government may have placed their faith into some . . . unsavoury characters. Elements within the military proposed taking the fight to the one regional superpower they had not yet humiliated: Sevevill. The Sevevillians had imposed sanctions on Oceania after their annexation plans were announced, and these were not lifted after Arcadia’s defeat. Thus a plan was drafted to sail a convoy of merchant and military ships straight up to the major port of New Connaria City and demand they be allowed to trade. They were met by Sevevillian coast guard and military ships, and a standoff ensued.

What happened next is somewhat hazy. The official Oceanian story is that one of the merchant ships suffered an engine failure, beginning to drift towards the shoreline where huge crowds of onlookers had gathered. It slowly ran aground before suddenly, inexplicably exploding in a massive fireball. Windows were blown out, cars flipped, boats in the harbour smashed to the bottom as water was vaporized beneath, only to be drowned by a tidal wave coming in to fill the cavity. Hundreds of Sevevillian citizens were killed instantly, with over a thousand more added over the coming days. The new Oceania-appointed government on September Island watched in horror and quietly requested a halt on their integration into the United City States. They knew what was coming, and did not want the fate of Oceania to befall them as well.

Sevevill’s revenge was swift and absolute. The people of September Island could only watch as wave after wave of bombers targeted their neighbour, first with explosives to flatten their cities and sink their shipping, then with napalm and chemicals to salt the earth and ensure nothing would grow there for decades. Oceania’s own military was forced to hide, preserving itself for the event they would have to beat back a Sevevillian invasion. But Sevevill did not want to capture Oceania; they wanted to exterminate it. If not for a coalition of nations led by Ameria and Allanea breaking the blockade and allowing in humanitarian aid, the Oceanian people would have been wiped out.

For some time it looked as if September Island, neutrality assured by a small Kamooko Pact mission, might make it through the massacre untouched. But all this came crumbling down with rumours of Sevevillian warships starting to poke around near the coast. Immediately, Amerian airborne forces located on Oceania launched a preemptive air assault to occupy September Island before the Sevevillians could land and use the island as a base from which to further intensify bombings against Oceania. The lead helicopters were just about to touch down when KP forces opened fire, sending them retreating. Nobody was injured in the incident, but the damage had already been done. Sevevill accused the pro-UCSO coalition of violating September Island’s neutrality, and launched their own attack.

The Sevevillian invasion of September Island shattered any hopes for the the impoverished nation's swift recovery. Although the island had been faced by military intervention twice over the last year, Sevevill's wrath was entirely different from that of Oceania or Arcadia. In both those instances fighting was mostly between foreigners, and over relatively quickly. But the Kamooko Pact garrison was small and mostly dedicated to training the new September Island Defence Forces. The SIDF suffered horrific casualties in the drawn out campaign, harassed from point to point by indiscriminate Sevevillian air attack which destroyed almost all of the rebuilding work. Thousands were captured by Sevevillian marines who had no facilities to house them, and so instead the Imperial forces began marking those captured with hot brands. Once branded an Islander would either be released or taken into Sevevillian service. Any found to have taken up arms against Sevevill after being branded would be shot on sight. By the time the dust settled Sevevill was in full control of a shattered island, the only solace for the KP being that they had managed to evacuate the Islander government to Oceania (ironically with Amerian assistance) and destroyed or dispersed the war materiel Sevevill may have used. Those that survived mostly either surrendered or escaped into the foothills of the northeast, finding thick forest and mountain caves where the Sevevillians could not follow.

The date is Sept. 15, 2036. September Island has been under Sevevillian martial law for the better part of a year now. Initially promising negotiations to return the island to KP control have fallen through and Sevevill, not wanting to be saddled with a now useless piece of land after the UCSO war is over, has chosen to pursue a more expedient solution. Following a series of backroom bidding wars, September Island has been sold to the interregional Empire of Iumia. The Iumians have immediately declared the formation of an imperial mandate for the reconstruction of the island and promised relief for the starving people. The news was met by outrage from the KP, which immediately began marshalling ships for a “military exercise” suspiciously close to September Island as formerly diplomatic voices in Kamooko are overtaken by those demanding revenge. Iumia’s mission is to be further complicated by a sudden outbreak in violence on September Island itself, as angry locals take advantage of the Sevevillian drawdown to attack food convoys, loot abandoned bases, and settle scores with their neighbours. Some of these militias in the northeast have even started to organize under the banner of “Self Protection Forces,” expressing their direct opposition to this new Iumian mandate. Remnants of the SIDF and Kamooko Pact mission are believed to be with them, leading to fears of an all out war . . .

With a mounting humanitarian crisis and no clear direction, the future of September Island will no doubt be determined by the international community. Will the nations of the world come together to bring stability, aid, and human rights back to September Island? Or will individual national interests make this a ripe land for proxy conflict and further chaos? Only time will tell.

Imperial Mandate of September Island
Established by the Iumic Imperial Domain upon their purchase of September Island, the new Imperial Mandate, otherwise known as the Caretaker Mandate aims to rebuild the stricken country in Iumia’s image. With trillions of Marks worth of investment and a veritable army of foreign construction and military contractors at their disposal, many observers are hopeful for their ability to save the island from its worsening humanitarian crisis. But questions still remain about the mandate’s legitimacy, and whether selling someone else’s country can ever be acceptable.

Image
Self Protection Forces
The vacuum left by Sevevillian troops and their humanitarian aid departing has allowed chaos to reign on September Island. Hundreds of armed groups have sprung up, immediately starting to fight with one another for the barest essentials. The SPF is not a top-down organization, but rather a loose coalition of these militias in the northeast which have organized under the explicit goal of pushing out foreign imperialists. It remains to be seen if these groups will have staying power, or crumble as starvation kicks in. Kamooko Pact soldiers are known to operate with them.

Image
Iumic Imperial Domain
By the standards of Markion, Iumia is truly massive. An empire of over 12 billion inhabitants spanning several Hyperearth regions, Iumiahas had a tiny colonial presence in Markion for quite some time. But it has only been over the last few years that the massive empire began to expand its contacts and look to seriously grow its influence. An invasion of the tiny nation of Xekniya has expanded their existing colony, followed by numerous arms deals and investments in local powers. There are even whispers of a slave trade being conducted between Iumia and their new ally of Sevevill. But control of September Island will allow them something totally unknown before: Access to the very heart of Markion and a chance to control this region from within.

Note: Iumia was until recently known as Humania, Tyria, or Iyum. These are all the same nation.

Image
Kamooko Pact
When the old power sharing order of Markion collapsed in summer of 2034, multiple smaller alliances sprang up to fill the void. One of these was the Kamooko Pact. Formed of nations alarmed by the deteriorating geopolitical situation, the KP resolved to protect themselves and others from imperialist takeover using whatever means necessary. But after two years of militarization and war in one hopeless nation after another, some are starting to wonder if the KP has lost the moral high ground they once relied on.

Image
Island Empire of Urilas
September Island’s local area is dominated by the Island Empire of Urilas. Although a relatively small nation in its own right, Urilas exerts disproportionate political power in Markion through its ownership of the incredibly valuable Urilas Straits. Recent clashes with the Kamooko Pact over taxation of this trade lane have encouraged Urilas to cosy up to their traditional ally in Sevevill, and look on nervously at KP meddling in nearby September Island.

Image
United City States of Oceania
The histories of September Island and the UCSO have been deeply integrated for centuries. For a long time in fact they were a part of the same country, with September Island being one of the United City States. Even the 1804 September Revolution which formally dissolved this union was not enough to break the deep economic and cultural bonds which tied September Island to her larger southwestern neighbour. This relationship seemed closer than ever when Oceanian forces landed on September Island to expel the present despotic regime, with it being announced soon after that the two nations would once again be federated. But any dreams of Oceania coming to rival the superpowers came crashing down with the arrival of Sevevillian bombers overhead. Oceania today is a shattered country wracked by attempted coups, which has been forced to rely on foreign aid and Arcadian soldiers for stability. If nothing else its position provides opportunities, and much like Urilas may serve as a jumping-off point for more foreign interventions into September Island.

Image
Empire of Sevevill
Sevevill’s invasion of September Island smashed any hopes of swift reconstruction. The island’s defence forces were shattered, infrastructure destroyed, government forced to flee, and people terrorized. But when the war with Oceania ended Sevevill wanted to be rid of this cumbersome territory as quickly as possible. Negotiations to return it to the KP were slow, and so a sale to Iumia was seen as a quick way to wrap up the affair with a tidy profit. Only one problem: The Iumians will take some time to arrive, so in the meantime Sevevill must contain an explosion of anti-imperial violence on their own.

Image
Federation of Arcadian States and Commonwealths
The largest superpower in Markion has interests everywhere, and has seized control of more than one small nation since the 2034 collapse of CMEP. But September Island is special. There is a large Arcadian enclave on the island, and the Federation actually attempted to seize control to protect them from the ongoing violence. That bungled invasion saw hundreds of soldiers dead or captured, and has left many calling for revenge.

Image
Greater Markion Alliance of Nations
GMAN is Markion’s primary international body, acting as a regional bank and economic regulator while managing the shared Mark currency. The organization is powerful and even directly governs over the Markion Canal International Zone, but its lack of a strong political mandate and no military power means they cannot directly step in to stop violence.

Image
Kraven Reich
The Reich is an entity which defies explanation. On the most surface level it is a state, but what kind? What sort of human state exists purely to consume humans, deliberately builds citizens to lack any sort of emotion or compassion, merely using their labour and biomass as a fuel source to produce more weapons and conquer more humans? What is its soul? What is its purpose? Nobody truly knows, but one thing is clear: When three civilian ships suddenly exploded in the heart of Markion's Central Ocean and the Reich claimed responsibility, it is the sign of something much worse on the horizon.

Rules

1. I am the OP, your lord and saviour. I will do my best to settle disputes fairly, but decisions are final
2. Nobody expects you to write the Iliad, but try to avoid one liners
3. Join the discord for OOC discussion on before entering the RP, and keep OOC chatter on this forum to a minimum
4. Keep it PG-13 and within nationstates’ conduct guidelines
5. Always quote the post or portion of a post you are responding to. Keep the many storylines cohesive!
6. This will start out a proxy war, which means:
- No direct invasions, at least not right away
- Focus posts on politics or small military operations in support of one of the major factions, or try to create a new proxy faction to do your bidding
- Aid to some factions may have to be smuggled in or done in a way to make it plausibly deniable
7. Don’t teleport armies or navies, and make an effort to roleplay the logistics of your campaign. Nations outside Markion must RP their ships passing through the Yyanwylthe Canal or Urilas Straits before arriving at September Island
- Player ships may be challenged passing through these choke points
8. Minimize stand-alone stories by collaborating with other players

More rules may be added as things come up.

Other Important Information

- Entering Markion’s Central Ocean from the west requires going through the Yyanwylthe Canal while coming from the east means going through the Urilas Straits. Arctic regions may take submarines under the NS Arctic to get here faster. Using aircraft will likely require finding a friendly Markion nation to land at.
- This RP takes place immediately after SALTEX. All the ships involved in that thread are still in Aels.
- The Arbiter, a KP battleship was fitted out only a week before this thread starts.

Ir’te, Krezna

A press conference is held regarding the topic of the Tyrian occupation of September Island. As Henar Esh’tenen and Brigadier General Ayer Nakan are being bombarded with camera flashes, a group of reporters begin to ask them questions on what are Tyria's intentions for the occupation of September Island.

A young reporter from the Albatanian agency AMPE News asks "Mr. Esh'tenen, what is your background in politics and why have you been appointed to run this country?"

“My background in politics can be traced back to the Ro’an Imperial Academy where I have studied in political science, economics and public administration. And the reason why I was appointed by the imperial government itself to become the Steward of September Island, is because of my reputation of being trustworthy, transparent, and reliable when it comes to managing projects such as the Babylon project and the Elysium project and so forth“ Henar answered.

Several reporters began scribbling things down at that news, with one team from the embattled Green Union Journal picking up the line of questioning. "Why hasn't the empire allowed a September Islander to lead this government?"

“We are planning to allow the inhabitants of September Island to participate in administrative roles, but due to the Sevevillian Empire dissolving both the central and local government during their occupation, we’re going to have to rebuild it from the ground up. We’re just here to oversee the reconstruction of the local governments in September Island until enough people participate to create a central government of September Island, run by September Islanders.” Henar Replied.

A Danlinian reporter from Svabodá Medijá News was the next to be given the right for a question. “Sir, if you don’t mind me asking, what are your plans in the occupation of the island?”

“Our current plan for the occupation is to establish a stable and secure perimeter in order to establish a reconstruction zone. In this reconstruction zone, we will do a census on the area in order to get the general knowledge of what these zones need. If you want to get a more detailed version, you can visit the Imperial Mandate’s website since I can’t explain the whole thing in a short time.”

(Place holder for Arcadia)

A reporter from the Arat Chronicles asked the Steward what will he do with the ex-pats that are still remaining on September Island.

“We don’t have a current plan for them yet, do we want to negotiate a repatriation of those ex-pats, do we extend their residency to a specific time or to let them stay is still in the talks.”

After the press briefing is over, the Steward mentions that lunch will be provided out in the hall, and thanked them for their time.

He was tired... Barely able to keep his eyes open as he packed up some final things from his office for what would hopefully be one of the last nights they were there. His soldiers... those assumed 'unfit' for front line service were worn out. Days of fighting against civilians for days just outside of this small airport. He walked outside to see another Tyrian plane touching down on the slightly repaired runway. Around the airport the air force and what was left of the 4th Marines were loading SG-17 cargo jets with the supplies that were deemed fit for restock... And to not let them get into the hands of the civilians. He put a ciggarette to his lips and lit it. Waving down a canvas top truck being used as a shuttle.

"Take me to the officer area please" He asked the driver who complied. As they drove the stress of the soldiers could be felt as the convoy passed by them. Stockpiles of guns were left on the ground ready to be destroyed or loaded into crates and sent home. He hopped off of the truck and walked into the abandoned airport terminal. He walked to what used to be the airport bar and went inside, As soon as he stepped through the door he saw a drowsy room filled with cigarette smoke. A single TV in the room played a native news network as officers chatted although the bar looked like more of a small town establishment with a couple regulars. He walked up to the bar and sat next to another officer he knew well. And started watching the news which had been rapidly relaying information about the September Island as the situation got more and more out of hand.

"Just because you think your going to die does not mean we are going to leave you behind. Keep in a orderly fashion as we load the planes in a safe matter." A officer announced over a megaphone although this did little to slew the peoples attempted advances. Another Seveillian SG-15 touched down in the distance arousing cheers from the crowds. Slowly but surely the Airmen were able to funnel hundreds of people onto the two SG-15's currently sitting on the ground. This would not be a easy task over the next couple of days.

The Protesters had grown violent. Throwing rocks and the unequipped soldiers and some even starting shootouts with the marines. The marines in the streets were becoming restless and had slowly started to lose footholds in some areas as protesters started to become looters. Shooters were also a big problem as some protesters started to form small groups and start shooting at both marines and other citizens. He was a gunner on a Humvee sitting slightly behind a line of protesters. Dodging the occasional rock as the protesters were largely held back from the area.

Abruptly there were loud sounds coming from the area of the protesters... Someone from behind yelled fire and gunshots from the marines could be heard. He too opened up on the perspective 'enemy' as he too was caught in the moment.

Gene French. Blue Shield White Cross Humanitarian Department, Manning Hospital 1

The people of the area were swarming the hospital as they were trying their hardest to keep things operational... The Armed forces leaving had made it incredibly hard to get people into the area as before they had been hitching rides and cargo spaces on Seveillian cargo aircraft. The Security team was left with limited ammunition. Doctors were tired and stressed... If anything it seemed like the only thing they had enough of was food and medical supplies... Outside the doors a supposed "Seveillian conspiritor" was being curb stomped by a crowd of people even though his screams had died out minutes ago... people were pushing on the now locked doors trying to get into the understaffed hospital. A rock crashed through the window suddenly...

Forward Operations Staging Base Blattner, UCSO
Hugo Plas

He was woken up by a flight attendant as his small turbo-prop plane landed on the tarmac of the staging area in the UCSO. He looked out the window and saw a makeshift air traffic control tower with planes parked over camo nets. When the plane stopped and the engines went silent he stood up and grabbed his bag and walked off the plane's steps and was immediately hit by the sun's heat bearing down on him. Hugo dug around in his pocket and pulled out some sunglasses and put them on. He turned to the flight attendant and asked "Aren't I supposed to have a ride off the airstrip?" the attendant shrugged and went back to her duties, and he muttered under his breath and began walking to the terminal. It seemed as this place was originally a regional airport housed with a small terminal and a tent city around it. Once he arrived at the terminal the A/C was so refreshing. He thought to himself he spent way too much time in northern Markvale and this heat is gonna kill him if bullets don't. He looked around and all he saw were a group of marines racked out and one on his phone taking a rip from his vape. He continued to the next room in the small terminal and saw a coffee shop, he found the infamous 'Green Bean' coffee a stable of Arcadian military deployments. He never experienced it when he was a young private in the army however whenever OSR deployed him near AAF operations he made sure to always stop by. He ordered an iced coffee and took a seat and pulled out his phone and began to browse the internet as he sipped on his drink.

After around thirty minutes he turned his head and saw his handler and he said "Sorry about the wait, the mechanics were being lazy like usual." Hugo sighed and stood up and said "Well there goes my coffee break." He stepped in the SUV as it exited the airstrip and continued into the base itself. The ride was about five minutes before they arrived at the tent Hugo will be staying at in the next few days. He dropped his stuff off at his cot and locked his sensitive items in a wall locker followed his handler to a briefing area, his handler Torben Korsch is a man whom he worked with several times in the past, Torben spoke "With the new situation in the SI, our government is going to get involved, and we have identified a group in the ex-pat zone known as the 'Acade-Schutz-Einheiten' or the ASE, they have remained as financiers for SDF units in the east and are looking for a more active role in the fight. Be ready to move in a week, we'll have everything ready to go soon, we're getting some heavy weapons ready to move, they already have some small arms and some of the necessary gear to give the Tyrians a good fight. " Hugo asked, "And if this shitshow goes to full-blown war?" Torben said, "If possible it's looking like the legion will be making a combat jump into the ex-pat controlled areas." Hugo replied, "I'll assume if they don't get there I'm shit out of luck?" Torben replied, "Yep, it's gonna be bad if this goes hot." Hugo exhaled and stood up while speaking "well then I'm going to head to the mess hall ad grab some food before I clock out."

The Holy Assembly Conference Room, Weltholm, ChristBol
Jüri Annor stares with a blank expression at the conference room screen along with several other of his Christian comrades, most notably the assistant war minister Niko Spar and the minister of external affairs Rina Cosima, as what's being shown depicts a compilation of several videos taken and sent by the SPF's more leftist wing, as well as some videos made independently by the citizens of September Island and posted on social media, of which many such videos have since been removed. Most of the members present on the conference found it a miracle that these videos were sent at all, considering most left wing movements of Markion greatly stigmatize Christian Socialists on the grounds of their recent turns towards market socialist policies, which by most leftists words outside of ChristBol "Isn't real socialism.". Many of the videos go to great lengths in showing the poor living conditions which began following civil collapse, while others turn towards showing the overwhelming amount of unrest. One set of images that particularly struck much of the room depicted leftist guerillas clashing with rogue right wing paramilitaries over disagreements with splitting spoils of war: anything from weapon caches to something as basic as clean drinking water spawns conflict that results in the loss of life. Much of the time in fact it appears as if more is lost than what the items gained are worth, with a couple dozen fighters dying for what is often barely able to keep their respective group afloat for a few more days.

"Ladies and gentlemen..." - begins Jüri, still recovering from the shock of what he just saw - "What we just witnessed looks like a part of the world to which God just said good night." - many of the heads who spent time staring at the screen, coping with shock to what they just saw, slowly find themselves refocusing their gaze onto the young and empathetic man that is their Earthly Voice.

"It looks like one of those war stories my grandfather used to tell me about the ChristBol Revolution..." - notes one of the conference members, very visibly upset at what they just saw - "It's our duty as Christians to help these people!" - and with those words being said, the majority of the room erupts into heated discussion, dismissal and approval.

"The ChristBol state hasn't had a war since the 50s, Hell, we almost never had much diplomatic interaction to begin with!" - notes Niko Spar, the assistant war minister representing the Ministry of War in recent months following the current war ministers decline in health - "Ever since those Arcadian spumae culled most of the leftist movements before the turn of the 21st century, our list of possible diplomatic relations has likewise gone down." - he looks into Rina for a few second before continuing - "Rina, I know that look of yours anywhere, you're about to suggest I'm right but that we should do something anyways aren't you?"

Rina prepares to say something but then pauses, being that her five minute speech was just reduced to a single sarcastic jab by the assistant war minister.

Jüri didn't need to hear Rina speak to know what she was about to say is right, however there is truth to what Niko was saying; ChristBol's list of potential partners, friends and allies has gone down since the 1970s as if the support of socialism went into free fall. Being one of the few bigger socialist nations in Markion, ChristBol used to see a constant spew of socialists arriving from all over Markion into Weltholm so to discuss the exportation of the Revolution. Left wing thinkers from all over the world, especially those unfriendly to their country's current regime, would meet and exchange ideas either officially in ChristBol's very own Holy Assembly building or unofficially in the many bars, cafe's, universities and beer halls that were built through Saamo Hakka's tireless pursuit of Christian Bolshevism. Looking back, this would always make Jüri feel depressed: ever since he was a child, his mother and his late grandma would often quote the great strides at which Christian Socialism would unite the workers of the world, many of which who used to be right wing but saw the light of Christian Socialism, that unlike most socialist ideologies before it did not want to dismantle their ways of life but seek to purify and better them. These days by contrast the guest assembly built into the building of the Holy Assembly following ChristBol's rise as a socialist power sees very little use, as most of the groups which used to visit it have since been dismantled, weakened, killed off or worse. To say Jüri takes this as a personal insult wouldn't be wrong, and a bit of his revanchist youth inherited to him from his great grandfather and firing up inside him thinking about it may have brought upon Jüri to say what he is about to say in a room currently shrouded in bickering:
"There’s class warfare, but their class, the rich class, is the one that’s making war … and we'd be fools to deny that they're winning." - he pauses, disabling the conference room screen to attract everybody's attention - "By keeping the ChristBol state a neutral force we have risked losing all our comrades, our friends... our fellow socialists to capitalist control. Some of you may say that ChristBol doesn't need them, that we've built up a haven for ourselves and/or that those who wish to join it need only to walk through our borders and claim themselves an ally of the hammer, sickle and cross, to which I say to you: the borders of socialism should not end at the borders of ChristBol, more rather the borders of socialism should begin with ChristBol. Right now, ChristBol is nothing in the eyes of giants like Iumia, Sevevill and Arcadia, and this is admittedly our own fault: we've let capitalist powers run without interference for too much and for too long, bickering like the imperialist bastards that they are while the island they're fighting over like many other areas of conflict is being turned into a hellhole. As the Earthly Voice I have decided that this ends today; the face of the Lord is against evildoers, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth. Today I announce the covert start of a new cold war, the cold war between the faithful workers and the forces kneeling down their neck."

Jüri turns to ChristBol's very own Head of Intelligence, Hariwald Atüri, who has so far gone almost unnoticed in the conference, having not said almost a single word throughout the entire debate over intervention - "Comrade Hariwald," - Jüri begins speaking to him - "I'd like to commission the formation of a black ops unit in the ChristBol Intelligence Agency under your direct command." - he starts looking more broadly at the other conference members, many of which have devoted their lives to the Christian Bolshevik Revolution, but you can never be too sure - "As for the rest of you, I expect none of this to leave this room. As far as everyone inside here and outside here is concerned, ChristBol is still neutral."

Hariwald was always a man of action, the Earthly Voice would say jump, Hariwald would ask how high. Already ignoring the thought of paperwork facing him and his colleagues in the CBIA, he immediately rises from his seat asking - "And how would this new unit be called, Earthly Voice?"

"Name it... the Revolutionary Exportation Division..."

"Also known as R.E.D."

The Still Sea, Markion

The two freight ships belonging to Vokšassj Trade Company finally arrived at Markion, after a whole week out in interregional waters. Their destination is SI, and their estimated time of arrival is Tuesday, 21st of September.
Officially, all that the ships carried were equipment, such as trucks and cranes, and personnel that included about a hundred security personnel per ship, hired by Vokšassj from the PMC groups Ares GDS and Vesna Grouppa. Later shipments will bring in mining equipment and company experts, once the green light is given by Iyum to start their planned Uranium extraction operations.
But the several anti-air guns and rounds packed within some of the trucks, and the couple other companies of PMC personnel who hitched a ride on the ships, were there unofficially, and courtesy of an under-the-table deal between Iyum and Vokšassj Trade for the latter to create a discreet supply chain of PMCs and guns from Wendler to SI.

The plan for the following weeks is to open up the storage facilities, the locations of which have been determined a week prior with the arrival of the corporate management staff, and start hiring drivers and facility workers from the local workforce, while giving Iyum their services to help them transport supplies and personnel around the island to spread and strengthen their influence, both in military presence and humanitarian aid.

September Island

The forces of the Grand Imperial Army and Marines of the Grand Imperial Navy has been sent to September Island while the 4-5 divisions from the Zekniyan theatre begin to arrive in SI by air. The forces have been split up into 3, one will defend the airport in September City while the other 2 will secure the other airport in Los Misioneros and port gold. Commanded by Colonel Alban E, Hernat, the expeditionary forces that came from the Zekniyan theatre began to occupy both the port and the last major airport on the island.

Objectives:
-Protect the Airport in September Island, the Airport in Los Misioneros, and the several ports including port gold.
-Prevent the flow of travel from being obstructed
-Protect key area’s from armed domestic or foreign belligerents.

Ir’te, Krezna

The Imperial Caretaker Mandate of September Island has sent a video message to the Kamooko Pact and to the various rebel groups via social media, saying that the Mandate will like to extend an olive branch to the Kamooko Pact and the various rebel groups so that the reconstruction effort cannot hinder the flow of the project. “As the newly appointed Steward of September island, I would like to extend an invitation to discuss this sensitive political situation and find a peaceful solution. I understand the series of situations that your people have gone through. I understand that you have been betrayed and forgotten by the previous regime. This time, it will be different. We want to help you rebuild this nation from the ground up, help your people the best we can, and create a government where September Islanders can run for local administration, which was taken away by the previous regime. I hope that there won’t be more bloodshed, as your people have gone through so much already. Let’s work together to build a more prosperous and safer September Island.”

The Holy Assembly, Weltholm, ChristBol
Hariwald walks through the doors of ChristBol parliament, accompanied by two people, a man and a woman, both in uniform. He makes a quick jolt with his entourage past several representatives, some with dirt on them, some clean and some even his good friends before arriving to the isolated conference room on the opposite end of the third floor elevator exit. Inside only the assistant war minister and the Earthly Voice are present, sitting over a map of September Island and a document depicting several items which Hariwald got to hear Jüri refer to as a "glorified shopping list" to Niko moments before he opened and walked through the doors. The two were likely just in the middle of an argument, and if Hariwald was a betting man he'd guess over the R.E.D.'s budget and resources for it's first mission.

"Gentlemen-" - begins Hariwald walking through the door - "-have I arrived at an awkward time?"

"Not at all comrade Hariwald, me and comrade Niko were just discussing my resource allocation concerns." - says Jüri, twirling a pen and taking a drink of Whiskey from the glass on his table. Very recently, the first ever ChristBol Whiskey distillery began production, and naturally the Earthly Voice was offered the first bottle of the acclaimed product that took the country by storm not days after it's release, which even went as far to drop down Rakkii sales for the first time in decades. - "Would you like some Whiskey?" - Jüri asks as Hariwald sits down with his close followers. Hariwald declines, the man on his left also declines but the woman on Hariwald's right hastily responds with "I'd love some.", hence, Jüri pours her a glass.

"Judging by what I heard before arriving to the door I am going to guess you do not share mine and comrade Niko's enthusiasm about the budget allocations" - Hariwald, as always, gets straight to the point - "And I know this has been going on for a while, in fact, these two fine people accompanying me arrived with me on comrade Niko's behalf to try convince you of approving the budget." - he gestures at the man and woman, both of which stand up and stand beside Niko in front of Jüri, saluting him at a sixty degree angle. - "You may have the pleasure of introduction comrade Niko." - says Hariwald, taking out two documents from his briefcase and putting them in front of Jüri on the table. Jüri salutes the two back at a ninety degree angle. Traditionally, saluting angle in ChristBol would signify ones position in the Holy Armed Forces, and the position of Earthly Voice is the only one which salutes at a ninety degree angle. The sixty degree salute of the soldiers tells Jüri that the people standing in front of him are from the officer corps. Saluting at forty five degrees would've implied ranks up to sergeant and a salute at eighty degrees would've implied ranks above Captain. Upon opening the folders with their files given to him by Hariwald, Jüri immediately noticed that both of them are Lieutenants, specifically a Lieutenant of the Star Sentinel program and a Holy Air Force Lieutenant; Praetor squads very own Reben Vamet and the CBIA's longtime special agent Ulrika Torstenson, who is of Emerstari descent.

From what Jüri read out of the files, both boast an exceptional track record, with Reben having served in the navy and special forces branch of the police before being chosen for the Star Sentinels, while Ulrika worked in the air force before parting ways from conventional military and into the CBIA where she would often run recruitment of socialist comrades politically repressed in Emerstari. In a way, the Emerstari should thank her given the exceptional peacefulness she has brought to the state due to how many prominent leftists have been brought overseas.

Jüri closes the folders after a five minute read and a five minute speech of Niko praising the two's accomplishments. - "These are our top two choices for the beginning of the R.E.D.?" - Niko nods - "Yes Earthly Voice, these two would be the ones deployed to assist the leftist groups of the SDF first. If they are successful, we were thinking of expanding on the mission to include more people. Comrade Reben and comrade Ulrika are both ready to begin as soon as you approve of the budget." - explains Niko - "And if the current budget is allowed to pass, some of it would go towards fitting them with some of our more experimental gear stuck in military R&D. The remainder of the budget would go towards figuring out some sort of air drop or boat delivery system to September Island which would supply the socialist guerillas on the island with food, munitions, arms, anything they need to survive anarchy really. Reben and Ulrika would be deployed first though, to get a sense of defenses, detection systems, the overall political situation and so on. Reben was selected in specific because he could effectively train and arm the guerillas to hit harder and faster than they ever could before. Ulrika was chosen to make sure the delivery of all the supplies goes without major problems."

"...very well." - says Jüri grabbing his pen and signing off the budget approval - "But how do you plan to send them in the first place? Getting to September Island from ChristBol by boat requires passing through the Yyanwylthe Canal, and I somehow doubt that if you actually did pass the Canal with no issue that nobody in the entire Grand Imperial Navy of Iyum guarding the coast of the island would notice two suspiciously muscular ChristBol officers with state-of-the-art gear. On the other hand if you plan to go by plane we'd need a place to land, which would require passing the Grand Imperial Army divisions guarding the airports."

"Well good thing you approved the budget we proposed." - says Hariwald, taking the folders and putting them in his briefcase before closing it and getting up from his seat at the same time as Niko, much to Jüri's confusion - "If you didn't then we'd have no way to afford something viable to deploy them with, now if you excuse me, I have a talk with the CAaSAfFAW director over retrofitting one prototype of theirs out of R&D." - And before the Earthly Voice could even say anything, Hariwald had left. Now turning to the assistant war minister, Jüri asks - "I don't suppose you know anything about this?"

"I do." - Niko nods the two new R.E.D. agents to follow him - "But I only rendezvous with comrade Hariwald there later, right now I have to go with our newest R.E.D. members to grab their gear." - Niko and the R.E.D. agents exit the conference room, with Niko turning back to Jüri last minute - "I expect that bottle of Whiskey to still be there once we have our next meeting." - And with that, he disappears out of the Earthly Voice's sight.

Jüri, instead of running after them both to further ask upon their intentions, just finishes his drink. Jüri is not ChristBol's father and dictator but merely the representative that helps make sure the protectors of ChristBol have what they need to keep it safe.

That being said, to piss Niko off for leaving with so little information Jüri will however make sure to finish the bottle.

Sevevill wrote:"WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING! A CROWD OF YOUR DAMM MARINES JUST OPENED UP ON A CROWD OF PROTESTERS IN SEPTEMBER CITY!" the General yelled into the phone. "GET TO IT BOY OR ILL HAVE YOUR F*CKING RANK!" Frank looked stunned as news reporters started to rapidly pick up on it as citizens around the city began to share what had happened on social media.

September City District

The island’s central region is the focus of intense protests and looting. A crowd demanding freedom and bread briefly blocked major freeways through the district before being cleared, while in other areas of the countryside Sevevillian forces have stopped being able to travel without armoured vehicles due to the threat of armed militias. In the capital of September City itself Sevevillian soldiers have been stretched so thin dispersing crowds that several blocks have fallen to anarchy, including one major hospital being overrun and looted. Although the Imperials are now holding their ground around the government quarter and international airport, this is largely thanks only to their deployment of lethal force. Footage on social media shows many protesters carrying Kalashnikov rifles and handguns, but unlike their rural counterparts actual shootings on the Imperials have been rare. Mobs have instead used the opportunity to settle scores with neighbourhood rivals, with those suspected of collaborating with the occupation being a preferred target for assault and murder. More and more of these collaborators are trying to flee to the Sevevillian blocks, overwhelming the overworked garrison.

Barcelonica District

Panic has begun to set in to the historical port of Barcelonica as unruly militias blocked off the critical Cabra Pass, forcing several Imperial convoys to retreat under machine gun fire and extorting an exorbiant toll on all other travellers. With little agriculture in the area, starvation has set in quickly in a way which more western parts of the country simply won’t understand. The small Sevevillian presence in Barcelonica city is faring even worse than that in September City, and has mostly been forced to consolidate around the port. Not only are armed groups here seemingly more willing to use force against their former overlords than in the west, but they are also much better organized with mortar and rocket launchers being used to beat the Sevevillians from the countryside. There are even rumours of tanks being mobilized in the northeast . . .

Arcadian States and Commonwealths wrote:Torben spoke "With the new situation in the SI, our government is going to get involved, and we have identified a group in the ex-pat zone known as the 'Acade-Schutz-Einheiten' or the ASE, they have remained as financiers for SDF units in the east and are looking for a more active role in the fight. Be ready to move in a week, we'll have everything ready to go soon, we're getting some heavy weapons ready to move, they already have some small arms and some of the necessary gear to give the Tyrians a good fight. "

Los Misioneros District

Meanwhile in the beautiful western city of Los Misioneros, rural militias moving to protect their farms have allowed a merciful trickle of food to make it to the city itself. The only problem is that this food is priced well out of range of the local inhabitants, and so has mostly been secured by the city’s wealthy expat communities. Mining deals brokered between the old dictatorship and foreign business firms has allowed many foreigners from middle-upper class middle management to exorbitantly wealthy CEOs with sprawling estates. It is these wealthy individuals, often at the heads of gated communities with their own private security, which have taken to provide for their fellow expats by providing safety and resources. The largest of these, the Arcadian expat community, has seen numerous wealthy individuals call for assistance from their homeland.
A confederation of three nations and their Arctic territory, currently torn apart by competing interests.
Calendôr is in the GU heartland, located along the Green River. Francophone, it is the most urban nation. Dominated by boreal forests.
Urlistan covers the west coast and mouth of the Green River. English speaking, it is a rocky country based with industry and culture based around the sea. Currently under the control of the Arcadian Empire.
Arasland is a large northern landmass dominated by rocky forests and, above the treeline, tundra. Speaking several dialects of Emerstarian and Arcadian German, and culturally dominated by small family clans.

IVO September Island, Markion, 21 September

Aboard the Vokšassj frieghter, MV (Morjné Vozil) Sin Srečkek, there were two kinds of moods that permeated on the cargo ship. The first was a persistent nervous energy exuded by the crew. While they had a sizeable security presence on board, that still didn't change the fact for the sailors that they were sailing into a war zone. The fact that Port Gold was secured by a Tyrian force or that the violence had yet to significantly impact that part of the September Island mattered little. Even in Markion, the 24 hour news cycle was very much alive and was doing a spectacular job at making a good number of the less experienced crew members wish they had taken a different career.

As for the aforementioned security presence, the contractors of Ares Global Defense systems felt a different kind of emotion; boredom tinged with eagerness. After being stuck onboard a boat for weeks, with few stops in between, the contractors were ready to get on solid ground, start working, and get paid. Unlike the crew and civilian workers they were officially assigned to protect, their information on the misfortune of the September Island was better than CNN's.

With only hours before landfall, Salim 'Bruce' Jacobi, the commander of the Strike Force unit ("Wildfire" Troop), was standing by and reviewing new intelligence as it filtered down from strategic intelligence, their sponsors, and their Rhamosian allies. The former Special Warfare Group officer once again cursed the Sevevillians for the slap dash approach to the transition of power.

"Looking tense sir. Want a dip?" asked Alan Corbec, the Troop First Sergeant, as he procured a can of smokeless tobacco, "Straight from Grammar. Probably won't be getting this until the regulars show up."

"Ah, shukran," 'Bruce' answered as he took a pouch and deposited it in his bottom lip, "Everything good to go?"

"The boys don't need babysitting if that's what you mean. Even the loggies got their shit straight. We're ready to go boss."

'Bruce' nodded in approval, even if it wasn't he was asking. He knew his men were ready. The motely crew of Serderi, Krakavians, Baziks, Mindarins, and Vilsokári in the troop came from either special operations or elite light infantry units. Even the POGs in the logistics company were a cut above those one would find in the Big Army. They ensured that all their vehicles were front loaded, so they could roll out as quickly as possible. They also endured that the Ares contractors had a full fighting load ready and that their drones were readily accessible. If the Vokšassj people had been in charge of loading their stuff, getting operational would have been a big hassle.

"I meant more in regards to the change of orders," 'Bruce' replied, "I know you're a bit disappointed that the Special Missions guys get first crack."

The former Non-com shrugged, "It's just recce stuff. Gotta get the lay of the land and shit. After all, we're the sideshow. The Tyrians are the main effort."

"Not happy with all the moving pieces?" the Commander asked, "Our Rhamosian buddies are all right and the Vesna boys are solid. Plus, we've been flying and shipping in the big stuff as well as the conventional guys ever since we got word of this contract. Pays to set up prepositioned stock."

"Yeah, sure," replied Corbec as he put him own dip in, "Looks to me that everyone involved is solid and the opposition...well, I'm not afraid of the Kuck Pact. But we have to wait for everyone to get set while we're holding at Port Gold and the nearby towns. Lots can go wrong."

"Nah...it'll probably be worse than you hope but better than you think. Once we're moving to Cabra...then that's when shit's going to get real gangster."

Hugo Plas

It was day three on this base, and the food was hit or miss, maybe they might figure out the food if this base becomes something that’ll be here for a minute. Hugo walked down a dirt road lined with HESCO barriers, tents and prefab buildings with a to-go tray in his hand. He looked around and saw soldiers and marines walking around without kit or weapons with the occasional vehicle driving down the road.

When he finally got to his tent, he sat down on his cot and slid off his boots, Torben was laying on his cot looking at his phone and he said “Hey man, tomorrow we have a brief we are going with the Wruttrum cats in the country. Our uniforms got here today.” Hugo lifted his head and said “I should’ve expected Wruttrum, I mean they are our guys after all.” Torben retorted “Yeah but the world doesn’t know that.” Hugo asked “How many are in country?” Torben replied: “97.” Wruttrum was a ‘private’ firm made up of OSR, and foreign legion assets when the Federation needed to get its hands dirty with some plausibility. He’s worked with them before, they're a small group about 2,000 in numbers usually made up of guys from the special legion force, and OSR elements when need be. Hell Hugo been assigned to Wruttrum a few times early in his career. It looks like he’s back in the organization once again. After he finished eating he stood up and walked over to the box that was delivered to them and it was all Wruttrum gear and uniforms for the two. A few days slowly went by, and in a few hours he’d be in country. He and Torben were driven out in unmarked military vehicles before they arrived at a regional airport to link up with the other Wruttrum assets. Hugo sat on the dark tarmac in line with a group of soldiers, some were eating, others were catching some sleep before the short flight into the September Island. Hugo messed around with his shoulder pocket, the zipper seemed to be stuck. The olive drab uniform he was wearing was heavier than standard Arcadian military uniforms, but they rip less. When they finally loaded onto the plane, Hugo’s seat was in front of a Tacoma tied to the plane, they were on one of the first chalks of the second group heading in.

Once they arrived at an unoccupied regional airport they began to drive out, with the rest of Wruttrum forces being sent in through shipping containers in an expat pwned port, the expats already have enough bribes to turn away preying eyes on the entry of the rest of the forces.

Lieutenant Colonel Vsevolod Bakal
Vesna Gruppa, Bakal Battalion
September Island, Markion

The smell of brine filled my nostrils, and for a moment it reminded me of the Kingdom of Ustavo, but those old memories were whisked away as I took a long drag from my cigarette. Nicotine filled my lungs to capacity, and I savored every moment of the addictive chemical before flicking the cigarette butt into the ocean. As I exhaled the last of the nicotine within me, I gazed over the ocean and nearby September Island; it was serene. Compared to the claustrophobic interior of the decks below, it was rather freeing. Nonetheless, I couldn’t stay out here forever, 800 men hiding within the confines of the cargo hold were awaiting a briefing from me. That wasn’t even the worst part, I had to tell them that mission parameters had changed. I gave a heavy sigh as I opened a nearby heavy red metal hatch door which I used to descend back down into the bowels of this massive metal behemoth. Thankfully, this freighter had an elevator to spare me the trouble of the stairs. Though, I’m sure that didn’t matter to my men, who were most likely groaning about my tardiness. That being said, they were a motley crew of men who hadn’t failed me on past jobs. Plus, as a businessman, I only wish to surround myself and the customer with the best of the best.

Upon the elevator doors sliding open, I found myself back in a mercenary base cordoned off into sections for each group. Around us were stacks of cargo containers which hid our gear in their interior. The mercenary group in the first section were from Ares Global Defense systems; a well known and professional company from Serdistan. The second section contained my men, Vesna Gruppa. My men and I are a mercenary group from Treko who pride themselves on direct action. However, even that had been stolen from us somehow. The final section was a group of Rhamosian ethnic individuals. To put it bluntly, they gave off the idea that they took pleasure in what one may call “Goon shit.” Due to the need for supplies, we each only had 3 companies worth of men. We would have to make due with what we had until further reinforcements could arrive. The remaining might of Vesna Gruppa had taken off a few days later in an Volinski Construction Company freighter. It would be sometime before its arrival at September Island.

Each section of mercenaries was just a cacophony of voices, my section was no different. Some men were doing a basic work, others were going over strategy, but most were doing some laborious task. We got a free ride, but this isn’t a pleasure cruise. We’re on a job and time is a commodity, but they can’t complain. They’re getting their fair share of the profits of war. Whilst making my towards the officers' area, I came upon one of my company commanders, Ahmad Shah Almurtaziqa. He is our resident Serdi, we took him under contract after witnessing his leading prowess during the last border conflict between Treko and Novajinnsk. He led a rear guard operation that successfully stalled the enemy from pursuing.

“Bakal, you have wasted everyone’s time,” Ahmad said plainly, his gray eyes piercing me like daggers despite showing little emotion on his face,“I believe everyone here wishes to get this over with. A pain in the ass, some would say, but I would never dare say that.”

“Always great to feel that positive attitude you're putting off,” I replied as I walked past Ahmad, who promptly started to follow me towards the officers’ quarters. Despite his attitude, which he hid through his professionalism, he was an overall great man, “Ahmad, go tell the other company commanders to gather their men. I got a briefing to give.”

“It seems we finally are able to bask in your leadership once again. Such a joy, Bakal.” retorted Ahmad as he gave a polite nod, “Till then, Bakal.”

Whilst Ahmad went to tell Litwinowicz and Czjzek to gather their men, I proceeded to make my way to a horizontal green container that had a blue tarp taped to its surface. It was a makeshift briefing area for when things were getting serious, which they were. The entirety of Vesna Gruppa slowly began to slowly trickle into the briefing area. As expected, not everyone could fit into the briefing area, but the excess just poured out into the vacant space of our section. I gave the crowd a few minutes to settle before I started, “Alright, listen up you Apes. I’m going to hit you with change of plans the parents made up. Had a discussion on operations regarding mercenary units in cooperation with Tyrian forces. We have agreed to change our modus operandi. We will be doing rear guard detail for the Tyrians for the meantime. If we can secure the rear from the September innies then that allows Tyrian forces to divert more troops to the front and get this island under control. We will be entering Port Gold soon, so I want us to get our new job right. We’ll be holding the perimeter of the port until the Tyrians can begin operations on the island. After that, we change our mission scope to rear guard detail. This island is a powder keg read to go off people. You were told who was friend and who was foes. Don’t get confused out there, people. We’ll get our chance a direction. Until then, starting gearing up and prepare for disembarkation.”

From the cement docks of Port Gold, I watched as a massive blue container crane rolled across a set of tracks before grasping another container from within the freighter. Slowly but surely, the container crane placed the container on the ground, which I unsealed with a handful of men. Within the interior of the container sat a pristine IFV, however, it wasn’t alone. Like a scene out of Tetris, crates of equipment were stacked next to the IFV and packed tightly together. I only let out a heavy sigh as I motioned for some of my men to unpack the shipping container. It was a slow, laborious process, but I couldn’t do anything to speed up the process. No point in making the freighter workers stress out even more. After all, I doubt that the Vokšassj trade company made the transferring of mercenary forces a common practice. Despite the setbacks, the 1st company of mechanized infantry had finally gotten all of its equipment and gear unpacked. Captain Czjzek was yelling up a storm as his men ran around him setting up their equipment. His Kitzehian accent coming through heavily every time he spoke. As I approached him, his stern looking face fixated on me, and he crossed his arms, but his aura of strictness fell as a smirk breached onto his face.

“Bakal, I can see your approach coming from a mile off with how your bald head reflects the sun's light!” Czjzek let out a hearty laugh as he smacked my back with his bear paw of a hand, which nearly took me off my feet, “As of now, Bakal, we got everything ready to set up and go.”

“That’s good to hear, but I wish this unloading process was faster. We’re behind on time, and I’m counting minutes,” I replied as I checked my watch before looking over Czjzek’s men, “Czjzek, I’m going to need you to take your men and lockdown the port’s perimeter. Nothing gets in or out,”

“Understood, but that isn’t going to be entirely easy,” replied Czjzek, who looked at the port facility behind him. He took a moment to look over the facility before returning his gaze to me, “If you can spare some men from the other companies it will be easier, Bakal.”

“Just what I was planning to do, Czjzek. Ahmad’s company strength is more than 50% at the moment. For the meantime, you’re going to command his combat ready troops until the rest of his company finishes unloading,” I stated, as I waved over to Ahmad who was in the middle of organizing his men. As he got close his deadpan look bore into us, “Ahmad, Czjzek is taking over command over your troops who are combat ready. We need the perimeter secure. You’ll have them transferred back to once your company is up to full speed.”

“These are acceptable terms, Bakal. We still have IFVs and APCs within the belly of beast,” said Ahmad, as he pointed towards the cargo freighter with his head rather than his hand which rested behind his back, “Once I have unloaded everything I shall meet up with Czjzek and take part of the defense.”

“That’s what I like to hear, Ahmad.” I replied, as I switched back to Czjzek who had become engrossed in the book manual. I grabbed the book by the spine and closed the book manual before handing it back to Czjzek, who thanked me, “Start moving out, Czjzek. I’m sure those Tyrian twinks will appreciate the thought we actually care about our jobs. Set up the perimeter and set up communications as well. Also, the Serds from Ares will be doing reconnaissance outside the wire, so be sure not to shoot them. Identify then shoot. We don’t want a mistake like last time,”

A slight smirk grew across Czjzek’s face as he slapped my back, nearly knocking me down again, before he walked off towards his men who seemed eager to start doing their jobs.

CAaSAfFAW headquarters, Etkola, ChristBol
In it's glory days, the CAaSAfFAW was probably one of the most advanced research divisions for rocketry and space flight in the world. Born out of a joint funding and development effort from socialists all across Markion, along with it's original intent of pursuing man's dream of landing on the Moon, it was also a show of force by many socialist powers, both underground and above ground, towards capitalism. ChristBol already had a prominent industry thanks to the country's old mining and fossil fuels sector, so centralizing it in ChristBol made sense. After the Arcadian persecution of socialism, by the 1970s it was a much less impressive sight, having lost all the nations offering much needed technical assistance and funding. Faced with the inability to properly help it's own population, ChristBol decided to cut back on it's spending for space travel, reforming CAaSAfFAW into a primarily aeronautics based research division. This is seen even today as ChristBol doesn't upkeep a spaceship navy, preferring to stick to their famous Penance Program satellites guarded by stationary orbital defense platforms instead.

Today, Hariwald isn't visiting the CAaSAfFAW with interest over it's Penance Program, rather it is the spaceship research that interests him. Entering the large, comedically overdecorated building housing the administrations many scientists, Hariwald waits at the lobby and makes sure to greet the project head of the whole purpose to his visit; the head of Project Mustamalus. Confirming the budget approval and now out of the main facility with the project head, she guides him to one of the hangars, the two strike up a conversation.

"Can you guarantee me the thing will manage to fly that far? It's cutting edge by ChristBol standards... Hell, by most countries standards." - "Would you prefer I say we should wait until 20 more test flights that stretch thousands of kilometers? It's been flying for the past year now. A thousand kilometers or a few thousand kilometers, it is always going to manage." - "And radar? How will we know it evaded detection?" - "Given how fast it goes I'd be surprised if they could shoot it down even if it didn't. Last I heard Iyum does not equip it's troops with railgun weaponry."

A few minutes of walking later, they find themselves in one of the larger air hangars, housing a state-of-the-art RLV, or Reusable Launch Vehicle. - "In a few more years, this'll be the new standard for ChristBol, but today, you're going to use it to send a man and a woman into restricted territories." - points out the project head.

To Hariwald, it looks almost mythical. - "If I may ask, what is the purpose of having an RLV in this day and age? I thought most countries switched to non-reusable multi stage rockets." - "Two reasons: worry over space debris clogging orbit and the RLV is also serving as a sort of prototype for developing future space fighters... however since RLV's are more expensive and since there's no need of a space fleet, I doubt we'll ever get to work on a space fighter design. Many countries in Markion I imagine have a few already, but it is just too impractical for us as of right now.... would you like me to give you the technical rundown?" - "It would definitely put my mind at ease."

The project manager leads Hariwald to a secluded meeting room, with some footage of past test flights already available, depicting Project Mustamalus in action. Both of them sit down and she begins explaining:

"For starters, I'd like to make mention of the fact that Project Mustamalus cannot break the Kármán line. It can, however, achieve speeds as high as Mach 24. This essentially means that a twenty four hour trip in regular aircraft would only take you roughly half an hour to an hour, counting the time between speeding up and slowing down. We've been doing test launches for about a year now and we have no issue with re-routing a future flight to deliver the agents. If anything, the change is quite welcome since it would be the first real long range flight the RLV would have to handle. Taking a look outside you might have also noticed how it possesses swept wings on the top and bottom of the craft, which have the purpose of deflecting the sonic booms onto each other to reduce shockwaves, and the model had also mitigated most of past RLV's issues due to our new AI influenced prototype phase for designing spacecraft. Naturally it also has an autopilot function in the event that it did not have a pilot manning the spacecraft, or in your case, pilots that simply do not understand how to. It uses an liquid air cycle engine, or LACE for short, which utilizes liquid hydrogen to chill and liquefy the oxygen in the air, creating propulsion from the liqueified hydrogen and oxygen, which is then combined with ramjets for maximum efficiency. The solid rocket boosters launch the RLV until reaching the appropriate altitude at Mach 4, at which point the ramjet propulsion mode kicks in and absorbs the oxygen and liqueifying it until enough liquid oxygen had been amassed. At that point, the LACE is activated. After the desired destination is within reach, Project Mustamalus begins slowing down and descending, either to land or to drop off whatever it has been carrying, once again in your case the two agents on board. We have organized the test flight for tomorrow to fit within your tight schedule." - a few seconds of silence come and go - "Is there anything you would like to go through with me before the launch is set in stone?"

"Yeah, I do actually..." - says Hariwald.

"For tomorrow, could you make sure it comes in black?"

The arrival
The Imperial Caretaker Mandate Government has landed in September City Airport. The government will be setting their office there as they see that going into former SI government official offices will symbolize that the Mandate will rule similar to the Sevevillian Military Government. “We will not enter the SI government offices as we’re not the ones leading September Island, that is for the inhabitants to decide who will lead them.” Said the Interim Interior Minister. Aid such as food, drinkable water, and medical supplies coming from the Province of Prezna and West Jelania, has arrived in the ports and is ready to be spread into the security districts.

The matter on the Expats
The Imperial Caretaker Mandate has decided to repatriate the Expats though a date is uncertain, plans have been made to compensate the Expats financially in order to give them a sense that the ICM is not forcing them out of the nation. “It’s best for them to leave peacefully and got something in return rather than forcing them out and leave empty-handed.” - The Custodian of the September Island Ministry of the Interior. Diplomats of the September Island Mandate will be sent to the countries where the ex-pats come from to discuss a way to transport them back to their homeland.

The armada draws near
Ships of the Grand Imperial Navy’s Krezna Gulf Fleet and the aid are closing near September Island. Men of the renamed 5th Prezna Provincial Marines and a mix of Lamarian/Preznan provincial infantry divisions begin to get off of the ship. Hyped on doing a mission that is for the greater good, they’re filled with enthusiasm and pride. While getting off the ships, they begin to unload the supplies and equipment off the ship. A convoy of ships can be seen in the background. While the cargo ships begin to unload their items and soldiers/marines. The ships of the Prezna Fleet begin to patrol around the island, citing that “the reason for this is to protect the coast of September Island from any foreign combatants. This includes pirates, traffickers, and so forth.” While unloading, the soldiers and marines saw that the mercs have started to get Counter battery units up.

Wings soaring over SI
After negotiating with the Urlias government, Iumian M-79 fighters(Mig33/Single jet engine Mig29) begins to land on Urlias’s airports. Waiting for them is the Echo-flight PMCs the government hired. They greeted them as comrades in arms and begin to switch out with the PMCs. Refuelling the M-79s, they’re getting prepared for the first air patrol mission on SI airspace. As the one landed in Urilas begin switching out and refuelling, the Iumian pilots that had refuelled in Sevevill begin to conduct combat air patrols around September Island. Doing the best they could till the next patrol switches out with them.

Meanwhile...
A request order has sent been by the Ministry of Military Affair’s Eastern Military Council for units of Detachment 57 to be transferred to Krezne Province, for the conduction of counter-insurgency and counter-terrorism operations on September Island. The Joint Military Council responded to the request, the transfer of units of Detachment 57 has been approved. 15 units of Detachment 57, also known as “Tunnel Snakes” will be sent to September Island.

Kooplieden Opens Ports, Airfields To Inter-Regional Powers Intervening in September Island Crisis
Published in the 15 September edition of Kooplieden newspaper The Kooplien's Herald

The Constitutional Monarchy of Kooplieden made an announcement yesterday stating that they will grant any inter-regional naval forces travelling through the Yyanwylthe Canal or Urilas Straits to intervene in the September Island crisis the right to dock at Kooplieden ports. King Hermen III, who made the announcement to a large crowd in Portsborough after parliament ratified the decision, invited any "visiting powers" to use Kooplieden ports and airfields to station their forces and deploy them in September Island.

The decision comes after a lack of response from Kooplieden towards the September Island crisis. Despite being a close neighbour of September Island, and being vehemently opposed in the past to mass destruction attacks such as what Seveville has launched against the United City States of Oceania, the island nation has maintained a strong stance of neutrality throughout the crisis and Sevevillian occupation. The only response has been an increase in the number of Kooplieden trade convoys travelling through the Urilas Straits with naval escorts as a result of mounting tensions in the area.

"Kooplieden presents a prime area for any foreign power wishing to station their forces outside of September Island," claims King Herman III. "Our nation has had a long history of accommodating sailors travelling through the Central Ocean, and being a neighbour of September Island we are in the perfect position to accommodate any inter-regional visitors who wish to intervene in the crisis."

Ships docking at Kooplieden ports will be subject to the same costs and fees as commercial ships, and airforces hoping to use Kooplieden's southernmost military airfields must rent them per aircraft stationed at them. Inter-regional personnel can expect many of Kooplieden's popular tourist attractions, such as the seaside attractions and many museums, to be open to them at a discount while they're stationed in Kooplieden. Kooplieden also promises naval protection while sailing from the Yyanwylthe Canal to one of Kooplieden's ports.

Kooplieden claims that nations may station themselves in Kooplieden regardless of whether they are supporting Iumia or the Self Protection Forces, but urges that all forces must "get along" while in Kooplieden.

"We are perfectly aware that allowing nations with conflicting interests to settle in Kooplieden together may present itself as a problem," says Minister of Defence Colby Burris, "but favouring one over the other would implicate Kooplieden into a side in the crisis which would be in violation of our demands to stay neutral. We hope that all military forces who choose to operate out of Kooplieden will behave themselves while in Kooplieden territory."

As the September Island crisis begins to escalate, more nations are expected to intervene. It is unknown if any inter-regional forces will take Kooplieden's offer, nor what implications this holds for the September Island crisis as a whole.

Millions in Markion and around the world have woken up to tragic headlines out of September Island, with reports of an Iumian military aircraft crashing last night on its final approach to September City International Airport. The cargo plane was carrying relief supplies to the beleaguered island from staging bases in Urilas when it suddenly went into an uncontrolled spin, striking down in woodlands near a major highway just west of the capital. By the time Sevevillian and Iumian soldiers and private military contractors arrived on scene in the early hours of this morning the plane’s wreckage had already been picked over by locals, with the four aircrew dead nearby. An investigation has been launched, but it is not yet clear if the Iumian soldiers were killed on impact or murdered in the aftermath.

But even before the dead can be properly borne away, initial investigation of the wreckage has raised suspicions about the crash’s circumstances. The way the plane’s right side engines were blown out seems to suggest the Iumians were deliberately attacked, and at least some early eye witnesses near the airport have apparently reported seeing a missile launch arc up through the night sky to strike the plane. But at least for now the Imperial Mandate must focus on establishing itself amid a chaotic situation, and making do with one shipment less of supplies.

Undisclosed Air Field in Urilas

A group of men in flight suits looked over a couple single seat strike jets.

“Not what we are used to, but it will get the job done.” Said one of the men, his blond curls bouncing on his head as looked over the jet.

“Yeah, but HQ said they would send ours over, we just need to work with what we got.” Came the raspy voice of a tall olive skinned gentleman. “Plus, we are just on patrol missions anyways.”

“Patrol and escort.” Spoke a shorter man, with jet black hair. “Tyrians have tasked us with escorting refugee medic evacs.”

“You mean like that one we were going to do last night, but it seemed the plane had to turn around?”

“Yeah. What was up with that? Was waiting over the sea for what felt like an hour.”

The group of men talked about the aborted mission for a few more minutes, before they were interrupted by a skinny lanky man. He held some papers and his face looked grim.

“Oh shit. Cap is here. You cap, why the long face?” Said the curly blonde man.

"We've been give a few more sorties boys. Tyrians want us flying recon missions around the straits." He held up some documents.

"I've already briefed Silver team, they will be conducting sub hunt operations. You guys will be running support and patrols."
He handed the folders to curly blonde.

"Three man teams. Your areas are in the files. Don't guck this up." The Captain turned and started to walk away, before stopping. "HQ is sending over more men, plus shipping over some jets. Seems the Tyrians will keep us long term.

With that he walked away, leaving the group to go over their next few missions.

September City Airport, September Island

The Custodian of September Island’s Ministry of Military Affairs, Brigadier General Ayer Nakan, can be seen entering his office with a sad face. The staff begins to record the video message. “In the name of the all-mighty creator, and the heavenly custodians as our witness. Last night, one of our cargo planes has been hit by an anti-air missile. Those supplies were lost but the most valuable shipment that we had on that plane, were the men and women, who volunteered to take upon the task to defend their nation, who have perished in that stricken cargo plane. Those who have been martyred are, Lt Col Karna S. Him’ne from the Duchy of Serania, Major Alban Erna from the Province of Lamaria, Lt Col Iyonez Var’laran from the Province of Tyrma, and Captain Flore J. Hima from the Province of Larentia. May these martyrs be remembered for their actions and their sacrifice.

With these new security revelations, we have no choice but to establish a no-fly zone, these security measures have been placed due to the risk of civilian airliners, who enter and exit SI, could risk themselves getting shot down by these anti-air missiles. The investigation is currently trying to figure out who could do this. And once we find them, justice shall be served on these perpetrators.

The Soldiers of the Imperial Seveillian Marines had become weak but had yet to to give up on the Island. While some were busy pushing of the citizens from important structures and buildings others were forced to step in and protect those who had helped the imperial government. The militias taking partial control over areas of September city, while the Imperials still made sure to make their presence truly known. At September City airport the people who were rushing the airport en mass started to overwhelm the Seveillian Marines and loadmasters trying to get everyone off of the island who wanted to claim Asylum in the empire while they were able too. Leading to marines to temporarily ground the aircraft that were being surrounded by the civilians.

The Green Union wrote:Barcelonica District

There are even rumours of tanks being mobilized in the northeast . . .

The port was the final stronghold. Humvees with mounted guns were placed around the perimeter. Makeshift defenses being constructed out of shipping containers and other things they could find laying around. A SG-87 had flown in to deal with the Mortar crews, using the planes infrared sight to locate the enemy. Seveillian fighter jets still roamed the skies over September Island using well placed strikes against militant groups in the countryside to continue demonstrating their presence.

The Imperial Seveillian Airforce, still in control of September Island Airspace, has decided that the airspace around the September City International Airport will be closing it to departure or arrival of logistic aircraft. The Seveillian command was quoted with saying that the approach and departure paths for the airport at the time were unsecure and that Seveillian troops on the ground and Seveillian fighter aircraft would be tasked with re-securing the airport and the airports surroundings.

Seveillian marines being some of the first to make it to the scene found nothing wreckage. The remains of the rear section burning with the smell of jet fuel filling the skies. The airport firetrucks and some military ones made it to the scene and started to attempt to put out the fire. Marines worked see if there were any survivors in the wreckage.

She stood behind a podium that bore forth the family crest of the noble house of the king, and she behind a similar reflection in kind despite only looking to be in her early 20s or late teens.

"Tonight, after multiple conflicting reports, it has been confirmed that the Tyrian cargo that was shoot down, was in fact assisting in the refugee evacuation." She paused for a moment allowing the words to resonate before continuing.

"That such a noble nation, who sacrificed it's resources, it's time, and it's money in order to bring a people robbed of hope and compassion back into the folds of civilization." Another pause.

"Would be asked to sacrifice it's sons and it's daughters in the name of mercy, not but days into their humanitarian mission is a tragedy that touches us all."

She pauses again perfectly timed and takes a small sip of water.
"It is for this reason, that the Kingdom of Rhamos and her people can not stand idly by while one of the greatest humanitarian crisis to face the region plays out before our eyes." Her voice grows with confidence and resolve now as she speaks.

"The people of Tyria shall not be all that stands between the civilians of September and chaos alone any longer."

She throws her hand out to emphasis this point before placing it over her heart. "At the recommendation of the Viceroy and in the name of my father His Majesty the King of the Federation, Rhamos and all her people. I First Crown Princess of Rhamos and Patreon of this colony, Princess Ottille Alicidie Tinsley Du Neidestatt do hereby authorize the immediate deployment of our armed forces. to September Island."

The room erupts in a chorus of shouting questions as reporters scramble to be heard over one another, blinding flashes of photographs filling the space. The princess seems momentarily overwhelmed and off screen voices can heard first asking and then demanding for everyone to calm down. Moments seem to pass by for eternity before order is restored in the room.

The girl is seen taking a deep breath before continuing on. "The men and women of our armed forces will be acting in a peacekeeping capacity to defend the life and property of September's civilians from those who seek to exploit them and do harm." There's a slight nervous Crack in her voice as she struggles to get back to the bravado she had before but she's slowly getting there again.

"To the people of September Island, borne upon the wings of mercy and in the name of God, we shall be there in your darkest hour to help pull you through. To the people of Tyria, I ask that you do not lose hope, and that your kindness, generosity, and sacrifice shall be remembered in this life and the next." She pauses again.

"To the nation's of Arcadia and the KP, who at this moment are seeking to rally the MU against Tyria, I ask that you show compassion and help Tyria in their struggle to save September." Her mannerisms, expression, and tone of voice clearly convey the heartfeltness of her plea. "Together we shall be the beacon of the light and good we hope to see in others."

With that, she walks off stage and off screen as several representatives from NGOs who would also be going to September Island take the stage to give out details for donations and contact numbers.

Out view from the public she is greeted by a familiar alt deutsch accented individual and his eye patch wearing assistant. The man was wearing a warm smile as he paused his casual coffee drinking to greet her. "Ah mein Fraulein, you should not fidget with your dress so much." He said with a chuckle which caused the princess to look down out of embarrassment.

"Did I....do you think that I did good?"

He studied her for but a moment before he reached out with a hand warm from holding his drink to lift her chin up gently. "My dear, you may have saved more people than you will ever know."

Port Gold, September Island

When the Vokšassj frieghters started disembarking their precious cargo, the logistics company proved themselves well. Due to their smaller footprint, Ares' equipment, cargo trucks, and Wolfhound LTVs had disembarked in short order.

As Bonfire (the Headquarters and Logistics company) assisted Vokšassj and Vesna personnel with offloading their equipment, they also acted as the coordination cell between the various PMC elements (such as creating the challenge/password for entry into the port) and provided short range ISR to the allied elements using RQ-11C Raven and RQ-20A Puma SUAVs.

This allowed "Wildfire" Troop and Recce Platoon "Gambit" to start getting the lay of the land. While Gambit was focused on the area beyond Port Gold, Wildfire's focus was the city of Port Gold itself. While the stream of intel they received prior to arrival gave them a good idea of how desolate September Island had become, seeing it with their own eyes was another thing entirely.

The Sevevillians had done a number on the place. SUAVs conducting fly-bys showed that many of the buildings were bombed to rubble. Even before they reached the city's outskirts, the convoys saw hamlets and shacks made of debris scattered around. The remaining Sevevillian Army units in the city were still conducting presence patrols but it seemed that it was merely done so that they could do something in the ruins. It wasn’t long before the Ares contractors passed by a group of civilians and they could see it in their body language. Unlike the insugents and looters making trouble in the north, these people had the look of defeat. The war and following chaos had drained the residents of Port Gold.

That revelation didn't mean that the Strike Force contractors were complacent. The contractors, clad in Ranger Green combat fatigues and Multicam AVS plate carriers, kept their heads on a swivel and looked for the odd man out. Once night fully fell, they would also have the advantage of PVS-31 NVGs with ECOTI thermal imager attachments. Quadcopter drone swarms spread outward from each of the platoons, acting as scouts the elements. They cataloged groups of civilians, looking for potential insurgents, ambushes, and IEDs. The armored Wolfhound gun trucks bristled with weapons, ranging from MG338 machine guns to 30mm chainguns on remote weapon stations. Electronic warfare/SIGINT specialists kept watch for signs of enemy communications, ready to shut both down with a flip of a switch. Any insurgent that attempted to hit the convoys was going to have a bad time.

As the Serderi contractors officially entered the outskirts of the city, they split into their respective platoons to tackle their respective tasks. The Headquarters section, along with 2nd Platoon, Checkmate, would set up a temporary CP in one of the few standing structures to coordinate the other units and provide central fire support through loitering munitions. 1st Platoon, Blacklight, would continue their reconnaissance of the city's outskirts. 3rd Platoon would also conduct their own reconnaissance mission within the city limits. While they had seperated, those within the urban areas still ensured that they could reach the other in the event of an emergency. Despite their EW jammers to deal with drones, each element of Wildfire did what they could to stay covered from possible aerial assets. While the insurgents seemed to be more old school, it still paid to keep vigilant.

North of Port Gold

Further from the city, the Special Missions Detachment Operators of Gambit had made their drive in lighter electric UTVs, armed with either RWS equipped with MG338 machine guns or launch tubes containing highly lethal loitering munitions. However, the vehicle sections currently waiting at the Vehicle Drop Off were not the main effort. Rather it was the Recces, clad in Tiger Stripe fatigues and compact assault ghilles over their clothing. As Wildfire focused on Port Gold, it was up to gather as much information to support the coalition in their push to Cabra Pass. Similarly equipped to the Strike Force, they also had a drone swarm to provide ISR and an early warning. Of course, if things did go pear shaped, they could always beat feet away. If things were really fucked, then they would need to call for help from Wild Fire.

The Republic begins Negotiations with Kooplieden

In a surprising turn of events, the Serderi Ministry of Foreign Affairs has begun making overtures towards Markion, specifically the island nation of Kooplieden. While there has been no official statement on the reason why the Republic has decided to reach out diplomatically to the Constitutional Monarchy, many speculate that it to allow the Private Military Company, Ares Global Defense Services, to set up a logistics hub on the island nation. Giving further credibility to this theory is the fact that one of the few details from the negotiations involves the rental of a port facility and an airfield.

Message from President Nihil to Emperor Yermaz In'herat Laron and Prime Minister Ushon

To Whom It May Concern,

In your time of tragedy, we grieve for you and your people. While your undertaking to rebuild September Island was going to be a difficult one, no one could have forseen that your mission would be dealing with this great loss at the hands of terrorists. With the loss of innocent lives, they have shown that they have no cause but to spread suffering. We wish you the best in bringing these perpetrators to justice.

Rhamos, Serderistan To Use Hensbury Airfield, Port For Peacekeeping In September Island
Published in a later edition of Kooplieden newspaper The Kooplien's Herald

In a publicly televised speech, King Hermen III announced that the Kingdom of Rhamos and the Federal Republic of Serderistan, both from the region of Aels, are the first nations to use Kooplieden to stage their peacekeeping efforts in the September Island crisis. The peacekeeping forces will use the Hensbury Airfield and Port of Hensbury, strategically located on Kooplieden's South Eastern coast.

On September 15th, King Hermen III first announced that Kooplieden ports and airfields were open to inter-regional powers for use in the September Island crisis. "Now", he says, "after negotiations, we are glad to announce that both the Kingdom of Rhamos and the Federal Republic of Serderistan will be using Hensbury as a staging ground for their peacekeeping and humanitarian efforts in September Island."

King Hermen III claims that the town of Hensbury was chosen to "avoid as much disturbance to the local populace as possible". Hensbury's famous poultry trade had been adversely affected by the rising tensions in the Urilas Straits as a result of the September Island crisis, resulting in the Port of Hensbury becoming vacant. It is expected that the sudden influx of activity in Hensbury "will compensate for the difficulties Hensburians are currently experiencing as a result of a slower poultry trade than usual."

In anticipation of the arrival of Rhamosian and Serderi peacekeeping forces, the Port of Hensbury and Hensbury Airfield are to be turned into "Intervention Staging Grounds", the first in Kooplieden after King Hermen III's announcement on September 15th. The Luchtmacht forces in Hensbury Airfield have been relocated to another airfield, and most of the Port of Hensbury has been closed to the public as security increases to military levels.

While the specific forces arriving have not been revealed yet, it is known that both nations will be sending peacekeeping forces and humanitarian non-governmental organisations. Kooplieden company Southern Shipping & Co. have reported that at least eight of their medium freighters have been requisitioned by the Vredesmarine on behalf of a non-governmental organisation from Serderistan.

Initial fears that multiple nations arriving in Kooplieden would spark conflict have subsided, as both Rhamos and Serderistan are sending peacekeeping forces and humanitarian efforts.

"With two nations from the same region with common interests, we can expect that they will get along nicely," says Minister of Defence Colby Burris. "We hope that they are able to cooperate and enjoy their stay in Kooplieden, and that they are able to assist to the best of their ability in the September Island crisis."

ANN: Protests erupt in SI over plans of forceful deportation of Arcadian Expats

Today the Ilyum's occupation of the September Island has now set its eyes on the Arcadian ex-pat community as violence erupts across the nation as the SDF's continue to conduct attacks. The city council of Los Misioneros is using these acts to justify hiring Wruttrum Securities after drawing sharp international criticism from these actions. The city council has also stated that violence will be used for any forceful relocation.

Los Misioneros, SI
Hugo Plas

He sat atop a rooftop watching the protests, part of the contract was to assist local law enforcement in policing the gated community along with its security. The policy was to treat them in accordance with Arcadian law within the community and cooperate with local police outside the gates if need be. At the moment they were stretched pretty thin, Torben was with a team at the bank, while he sat up here with some non-lethals if things got out of control. He was listening to the gated communities city council speak as the crowd cheered: "We will not stand for this illegal occupation of our adopted homeland! The Sevevillians let us be, but this new regime sees us as enemies because of our connection to the homeland! We will not leave our homes, not for money and not for the threats that come from their imperialist state." They've been at it for about an hour now. Hugo dropped his kit and took off his top to roll his sleeves before he got back in it all again. Hugo hated this heat, his dealings in Markvale had him used to the cold. After the protests ended, he was in the hotel Wruttrum had occupied with permission of the owner as a base of operations, and lodging for the small mercenary force. He was on the balcony enjoying a nice cigar until Torben yelled “Yo Hugo get over here, the situation just thickened.” Hugo put out his cigar and muttered some words to himself before coming in to watch the news.

ANN Breaking News: War in the September Island and continued build up in the UCSO

Saturday: With conflicting reports of a Tryian cargo aircraft being showdown, the Kingdom of Rhamos has declared war on local SDF units. The downing of the cargo plane took heavy condemnation from nations across the globe and here at home in Casatolo. Chancellor Beaulne has called this act: “ A shameful act of cowardice”, and “An egregious act of terror” in a press conference earlier in the day. The Defense Department has authorized the deployment of a Foreign Legion Regiment pending Tryian approval for operations within the ethnic Arcadian community, in the meantime, this unit will be heading to the UCSO with other military units already on the ground.

Enzo still wasn’t used to legion life, he was born in a rough area just outside of Bay June. Just a week ago he was hitting up the bars back near Marigold and now here he was in an empty field waiting for their tents to be downloaded from the plane. The night was a little chilly, most dudes wrapped up in their poncho liner not bothering to unpack the sleep systems. The other two brigades and the sailors here all had some nice setups and here the legion was sucking dick out here like usual. He sometimes wondered why he didn’t just enlist in the army like a sane person but no, all because of ‘tradition’ here he was.
